The US is weighing the benefits and risks of drone flights over the Black Sea after losing an unmanned aircraft there while being chased by Russian interceptors, CNN reported on Thursday, citing sources.
On Tuesday, Washington claimed that two Russian Su-27 fighters dumped fuel on a MQ-9 Reaper drone conducting a reconnaissance flight in the area, with one jet later colliding with the US aircraft.
Moscow’s Ministry of Defense, however, dismissed the accusation, insisting that its interceptors had neither come into contact with the Reaper nor fired a weapon, saying that the drone crashed due to “sharp maneuvers.”
Several officials have told CNN that the US is now “weighing the costs and benefits” of further drone operations. At the same time, Washington has not entirely halted flights while the review is underway, the report says, and another Reaper was sent to monitor Russian forces searching for the debris.
I don’t know if the US is going to deescalate the situation in the Ukraine. I am not a wizard and never claimed to be some kind of predictor. Sometimes my critics act like I did that, but I’ve never claimed to be a predictor. I’ve always just looked at the information, and said what the possibilities are, and I always give multiple possibilities.
Right now, there are people in Washington – powerful people – saying that because the Russian economy did not collapse as a result of Western pressure, and because Russia has not really had too much difficulty militarily repelling the full might of NATO, that the situation is FUBAR and that it’s just a waste of resources.

We always hear about the $100 billion dumped on the Ukraine, but the total value of the amount of weapons and training could be ten times that, and it is clear that this is going to be the cost every year that the US continues this war.
So a lot of people are saying “we need to roll this back so we have the resources for a war (probably cold) with China.” Personally, I think those people will win the debate, and we will see some kind of strategic scaling down of the war in the Ukraine, where the Ukraine forces pull back to the river and then just harass Russia by bombing random apartment buildings, vacation spots, and arts festivals. That would not be a full surrender, of course, but it would scale it back to something a lot different than what is happening now, where the State Department is saying the Ukraine is going to invade Russia proper and take Crimea.
“Bakhmut” is finished now, and the Zelensky regime is using it just as a way to kill off Ukrainian men. There is no possible way there will be a victory there, and that means Russia is going to be able to make an absolute push to the river.
It seems that this is the logical time to say “okay well, we’re just making the river our front line now.” Russia doesn’t want to cross the river, so it could just be a stalemate, indefinitely. The US does not have to order any kind of surrender, and they can keep saying they are going to fight back at some indeterminate point in the future.
Of course, Victoria Nuland and the other uber aggressive anti-Russia Jews could win the debate in Washington, and we could see yet another escalation. However, it is now proved that the only way the Ukraine is going to win the war and fully expel Russia is if NATO actually invades the Ukraine and fights the Russians directly, using their full forces. This would probably result in China taking Taiwan – something which they now feel they have to do, because of US aggression and arming of the island.
A full commitment to the Ukraine would mean it would be impossible for NATO/US to respond to China.
So, that’s basically the situation.
Again: I want to make it crystal clear that I do not have a “prediction.” I think it is MOST LIKELY that the Ukraine will be scaled back. However, many of these Jews in Washington are totally fixated on Russia, and it is definitely a possibility they will win the debate in the Biden Administration.
I don’t make predictions, because I am not a wizard. I’m just telling you the facts.
Pulling the drones from the Russian border definitely would absolutely imply that they are going to scale things back. But again: a lot of these actions have made no sense, so logic is of limited use when analyzing the behaviors of the Anal Empire.

A Russian strategy of attrition may be their actual plan all along. They figure they can absorb enough casualties and hurt Ukraine worse, while NATO keeps losing money and material in a stalemate that does not benefit them. Taking lots of Ukrainian territory would require a pacification effort against civilians and that would of course be hugely exploited by the Western Media as proof Putin is the most evil person alive.
If people were taught history, they might see a parallel to the Battle of Verdun during WWI. The Germans attacked Verdun, not to take it, but to draw in endless French reinforcements and equipment. The idea was to bleed the French white, and it almost worked. Read about the near mutinies in the French Army in 1917 where the enlisted men told their commanders they would defend French soil but would no longer run headfirst into machine gun nests and barbed wire obstacles.
The problem with belittling your enemy as a ‘gas station with nuclear weapons’ is that you only invite speculation as to what that says about you when you fail to beat them.
In fact they are a gas station that’s being embargoed by half the world. So what is NATO? A transexual hooker with a maxed-out credit card and a very expensive heating bill?
None of us can really know what’s going on in Ukraine, but here are some random thoughts.
Part of Putin’s problem is that he has been threatening vague retaliations if the west crosses any of his “red lines,” but he never does anything. Thus, the west is embolded. Putin might seem to have only two options: use nukes, or attack NATO directly, and that is not something he appears to want. But: taking out these long range drones might be one sort of thing he can do. If the west doesn’t retaliate directly, he might expand these sorts of efforts – maybe start jamming or blinding satellites, whatever. I don’t know how valuable the intel from these western drones is, perhaps they don’t give anything that can’t be gotten from a satellite, but that synthetic aperture radar could give an almost god-like view of the ground for an extended range. It’s like having a radar dish the length of the flight path of the drone. Not being able to fly reconnaissance drones over the Black Sea is possibly a serious blow to the western powers.
I also suggest that, while the western powers increasingly use clowns as their proxy figureheads, the real leaders are very smart. Not infallible, mind you, but smart – and vicious and totally amoral and ruthless. Don’t underestimate them.
Those Russians are so weird. We send a drone nicknamed “the Reaper” to do a little innocent “reaping” near their sovereign territory, and they get all mad.
For the West, the Uke operation is mostly over. The destruction of Nordstream finalized the deal. Now it’s just mopping up dead Ukrainians, and then moving on.
US had two main goals: 1) regime change in Russia via sanctions, and 2) keeping Europe (mostly Germany) on the plantation. Once the first didn’t work out, Plan B was sabotaging the pipeline, keeping Europe (again, mostly Germany) from any energy-related economic ties to Russia.
The Chinese province of Taiwan is pretty much the same. Sanctions on China won’t work out, so the next best thing is war. Why? Because US policy makers understand that given enough time, Taiwan province and the mainland will come to an equitable and peaceful agreement for reunification. Reunification is something the US can’t let happen, so they will do whatever it takes to prevent it, regardless of whatever folks on Taiwan want.
It’s about keeping what’s left of the Empire going. Right now they’ve evidently got Australia in line. And working hard getting Japan on board with the plan.
Not sure most Japanese are interested in war with China. Who knows about the Aussies? Locals probably hate Chinese, because of the latter buying up real estate. Not realizing how if that is a problem, they need to look to their own government to stop it, via foreign investment legislation. The average Australian appears to be about as stupid as the average American, so don’t expect much of anything to change, there.
I personally don’t see how the US could ever ‘win’ a war with China over Taiwan, simply given the logistics of battle half-way around the world. But there you have it.
That may be what the US taxpayers get soaked for all that. But what’s it really worth? Might be ten times less in actual value, pricey weapons that filled everyone’s bank accounts.

I am puzzled sometimes by the supposed strategic objectives of the U.S. Empire. What does Taiwan belonging to China change? Is it because of the microchips produced there? The same about Ukraine. 1) Sheer stupidity. Never underestimate that.

For example, what if Sri Lanka repudiated its debts to western lenders? What are we going to do? Refuse to loan them more money? Invade? China or India could invest in them at better terms than we do. The non-western world now has an alternative to Western domination, and they are taking it. US foreign policy, really economic and military policy, at least since WWII, has turned on the notion that America will dictate to the world, how the world will run. But no country will buy American gas at exorbitant prices unless compelled. And that is why America sabotaged Nord Stream pipelines and forces Europe to buy its LNG; and that is why it forces NATO countries to buy its arms at exorbitant costs. America has essentially borrowed and consumed more than it can ever repay. Therefore, the only options are to devalue dollar to reduce the loan burden, or to go bankrupt.
I won’t be surprised if the real American economy turns out to be about as small as the Indian economy.

What’s the point? The point is to maintain unipolar status of the American empire because along with unipolar status comes very important matters:
1. The USD continues to be the world’s reserve currency which allows us to continue to print enormous amounts of money at interest rates far lower than would otherwise be. This ability allowed Washington D.C. to prop up our economy from 2008 to 2021 adding $ 22 Trillion of debt which cost only about 1.5% annual interest. When unipolar goes, our borrowing cost goes to a more normal 5% and that is a very big deal to our already under water annual budgets.
2. With our unipolar world, when we don’t like an in place foreign government we can arrange for changes in governments around the world by assination, “color” revolutions, proxy (preferred) wars, and direct wars.
3. In a unipolar world we can use sanctions, embargoes, and tariffs against countries not following our international rules based order. Sanctions have worked because we usually got most of the world to join in the sanctions or risk guess what? Sanctions on “non-complying” countries.
Therefore, the results of the proxy war in Ukraine is a very, very big deal to Washington D.C..
