The Justice Department said “efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government’s investigation” of documents at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home months before FBI agents searched the Florida estate in early August. Investigators said they found records in places other than the storage room where Mr. Trump’s lawyers had assured them all were held.
A court filing late Tuesday objecting to Mr. Trump’s proposal that the seized documents be vetted by a third-party arbiter laid out the government’s most detailed timeline yet of the events that led to the unprecedented search of the premises.
The 36-page document underscored the urgency with which the Justice Department believed it needed to secure the classified material after Mr. Trump’s team failed to relinquish all of it during several less invasive attempts to retrieve it earlier this year.
Those steps included a grand jury subpoena issued to Mr. Trump’s team in May seeking all classified documents from the premises.
Just a reminder: it is impossible for the president to steal classified documents. It’s basically the same thing as “spousal rape” – it is legally impossible (or it was until Jews decided to confuse ancient law for their own purposes).
Also, presidents regularly take stores of documents to work on their memoirs.
Also, Hillary Clinton wasn’t prosecuted for actually committing this crime – the FBI said they weren’t prosecuting her because she was famous and it would be socially negative to prosecute a famous politician.
According to the government’s filing, a representative of Mr. Trump handed over an accordion folder of documents when FBI agents visited the Palm Beach property on June 3. Another representative then attested in writing that the team had supplied “any and all documents that are responsive to the subpoena,” according to the filing.
Further investigation showed that not to be the case, the Justice Department said.
What was the investigation? Was it more electronic spying? Because it sounds to me like he had handed over the physical copies of the documents and they are preparing to claim he had electronic copies, which they know because they hacked his computers (on yet another fishing expedition).
Of course, electronic copies could be easily faked. Even physical copies could be faked, because they wouldn’t let Trump’s lawyers witness the search. (They carried out boxes of physical paper, but they’re admitting most or all of that was just stuff they found and didn’t know what it was. They admit that they took documents protected by attorney-client privilege, they’re just saying they won’t use those to build their case.)
“The FBI uncovered multiple sources of evidence indicating that the response to the May 11 grand jury subpoena was incomplete and that classified documents remained at the Premises, notwithstanding the sworn certification made to the government on June 3,” the filing said.
“The government also developed evidence that government records were likely concealed and removed from the Storage Room and that efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government’s investigation,” the Justice Department said.
A spokesman for Mr. Trump didn’t immediately return a request seeking comment.
Two lawyers for Mr. Trump, Evan Corcoran and Christina Bobb, were at Mar-a-Lago on June 3. No one present on that day said Mr. Trump had declassified documents or asserted any claim of executive privilege, the Justice Department wrote in the filing, casting doubt on arguments his team has advanced in weeks since the seizure.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon has scheduled a Thursday hearing on Mr. Trump’s Aug. 22 motion asking for the appointment of a special master—an arbiter who reviews evidence and decides whether some materials are protected by legal doctrines like attorney-client privilege.
Mr. Trump’s legal team will be led by Chris Kise, a former Florida solicitor general with deep ties to the GOP whose appointment became public on Tuesday.
The Justice Department has opposed the request on multiple grounds, including that it wouldn’t make sense at this juncture. The Justice Department has said a group of lawyers and investigators known as a filter team had already segregated any documents that are potentially subject to attorney-client privilege. The filter team is separate from the team handling the Justice Department’s continuing criminal investigation.
Yeah, that’s the USSR on steroids. Much worse than anything that happened in the USSR, actually – at least in the USSR, people didn’t have the same pretense of Constitutional legal protections, and knew they were playing by house rules.

This is like after they acted like they were going to prosecute him for being a Russian agent, then accused him of colluding with the Jewish blood enemy of the Russians in the Ukraine.
They built this January 6 thing up, expended all this energy, then their final indictment is going to be some gibberish out of left field about tricking the Justice Department about classified documents that couldn’t have been classified. I suppose this hoax has more of a “gray area” than the January 6 thing, where either Trump told people to riot or didn’t.
I watched the Tucker Carlson interview with Paul Manafort yesterday. It’s kind of good. Sort of long, but I found it interesting.
I’m sure Manafort was a scumbag, having been involved with some pretty shady shit in the Ukraine and shady GOP RINO bullshit before that, but it seems like he really did have some Christian epiphanies in prison. He was in solitary confinement for 9 months (though apparently he had books and a radio, which really isn’t that bad – the biggest torture element of solitary is keeping the person locked in their own head – that’s what causes the brain to shrink.)
Further: he had some kind of moral fortitude before prison, acting on Mafia rules about cooperation with the feds.
Anyway, his narrative about his life is goofy and not true, but he kind of seems like he believes it, and it was interesting to listen to. He’s a smart guy. But what I was interested in was his analysis of the Trump 2024 situation – he said that there is a 100% chance Trump will be indicted, a 0% chance he will end up going to prison, and implied a pretty good chance he’ll win the nomination and the election. I don’t really agree with those numbers, but it was interesting to get the analysis of a smart guy who knows the game.
I think even after having been to prison for nothing, however, he still doesn’t understand how bad things really are. I don’t really think the goal of indictment would be to put Trump in prison, I think the goal would be to promote Ron DeSantis as “the only viable GOP candidate.”
When this nightmare gets worse later, they can just do a Gavin McInnes on Trump – that is to say, the prosecution will not be related to whether or not he ends up in prison in the end.
Whatever. As I’ve said, I think the 2024 campaign is worthwhile either way, just strategically in terms of the public mind.

Manfort is full of crap. The Eastern Ukrainians were going to be annihilated by the western Ukraine. The Eastern Ukraine ASKED Russia for help. Russia refused to go in for years, and the Esatern Ukrainians fought the western Ukrainians themselves until that major military onslaught was being put in place against Eastern Ukraine by Western Ukraine right before Putin went in. That is when Russia went in, and they went in with the blessing of the Eastern Ukrainians.

He had 4 years to at least do something about it, but did nothing; I guess he was too busy looking after Israel’s interests instead of America’s. He surrounded himself with jews in his business career, and gave the power of the throne to his jew son in law, even pardoning Charles Kushner. And all Jared Kushner has done in return is undermine Trump and deliberately give him bad advice that has probably finished of any remaining political ambitions Trump may have. I wonder what the lesson might be for any whites reading this? Whites are astoundingly stupid: they fight with one another, when they should be organized against the tribe. And their women dedicate their energies to abortion and to fighting their own men, never once realizing that their lives will become much harder should those men go away.

No one here sees the big picture about Trump. He is a threat to forces which are going to destroy our civilization. I was not going to vote for him; now I will. Funny how all of orange clown’s “foolish mistakes” seemed to advance (or at least did nothing whatsoever to hinder) the deep state agenda of world domination and control at any cost. Certainly none of his “mistakes” did anything good for the average American.
Why couldn’t he have mistakenly failed to arm Ukraine or mistakenly demanded that Porosheko or Zelensky implement the Minsk accords? Why couldn’t he have mistakenly pulled the troops out of Syria or mistakenly renegotiated the INF treaty with Russia? Apparently because his “foolish mistakes” were not “mistakes” at all; rather, they were a feature of his calculated betrayal of his supporters and his election mandate.
