There are two popular clips going around on social media this week of Russians talking about the inevitability of nuclear war. They are both from Russia 1, which is state television.

Remember that RT is also Russian state media, and not really very well-edited, in terms of promoting a consistent agenda, so given the “shrug” mentality of Russians when it comes to narrative control, I don’t think it’s fair to assume that every talking point is overseen directly by the Kremlin. It seems to be more of a “just follow along with what we’re saying” situation. I am not certain of the situation, as my Russian is not good enough to just sit and watch Russian political talk shows, but I imagine there is quite a bit of leeway in terms of the editorial control of the producers and the commentariat. Certainly, they are much less restrained than analogous Western state propaganda – the BBC or CDC (or for that matter NPR, or for that matter CNN).

However, the fact that “we’re probably going to have a nuclear war lol” is now a major talking point probably means that the Russian government told them to start talking about this. Both clips do it in a sort of “lol ok” manner, which was probably also an idea from the state.

In the first clip, a Russian Duma member starts talking about the time it takes for nukes to hit different targets, and jokes about how there is nothing that Berlin, Paris, or London could do to stop a strike from Kaliningrad. As that bitch Julia Davis notes, the host does kind of push back and say that everyone would die in such a war, but the Senator goes into physical comedy and the host chuckles sensibly.

Threatening to nuke European capitals is very funny. I hope Julia Davis doesn’t get anyone to translate Chinese television. She’d melt down like the wicked witch.

The second clip is from Vladimir Solovyov’s show, where Margarita Simonyan, the controversial Armenian editor of RT, said that the most likely outcome of the conflict in the Ukraine is a nuclear war where everyone dies, and Solovyov said “at least we will go to heaven.”

Again, it is just this kind of “hahahaha – LOL” attitude.

I don’t really know why Westerners are spamming these clips – “look – Russia doesn’t even care about nuclear war and they think it’s funny” does not seem like a good argument in support of pressing for war with Russia.

It’s like if you were trying to get someone to fight someone else and you were like “just go start shit talking that guy – he’s got a gun and he’s not at all afraid of dying or going to prison.”

That’s probably the purpose of these segments – to have them disseminated in the West and show that Russians are really blasé about nuclear war. Julia Davis and many others can’t help but do the thing.

Domestically, telling people “nuclear war is lolz” is just hilarious and intelligent. Having a population that responds to “we’re all going to die in a massive war” with “ikr, roflmao” is extremely advantageous. While the US is talking about “our values of who we are in a democracy rules based order of stolen yachts,” Russia is saying “well, we’re all going to die some day anyway.”

For the record, there is zero evidence or reason to believe that a nuclear war would “kill everyone on earth.” Primarily, this is because of the gibberish surrounding the idea of “nuclear fallout,” and even more goofy stuff like “nuclear winter.”

I like the Fallout video games series, but this isn’t real life. As the Russians say – and this is true – there is not even any evidence that if Russia started firing nukes, the West would even respond. They would more likely just start crying and looking for a safe space for their snowflakes.

  2. I think the DAVOS mutants would like to provoke WWIII. They hate having to share the Earth with so many mud people. They just don’t need that much staff. Nuclear war seems quite likely to me. Especially since the West cannot prevail in a conventional war with China and Russia. But that’s just me. All I know it what I read on the internet.

Nuclear blackmail makes sense for Russia. The US, with the support of its vassals, has abused its economic hegemony and purposefully created enormous obstacles to Russia’s development, even threatening its long term survival as an independent state, with its “color revolutions” and sanctions regime among other tools.

Russia can’t hope to outcompete the US economically and can’t beat them in a conventional war (even if it could, the war would escalate to a nuclear one anyway). So the one tool Russia can use to even the odds is to threaten the West with nuclear strikes. Either the US backs down and accepts a fairer set of rules, or pretty much everyone dies. The West has a lot more to lose in this case, because it has a bigger population and higher consumption and life expectancy.

Why should Russia accept American hegemony forever? The UN is useless, it’s never going to rein in the US. Other countries like Iran or Cuba can’t do anything, because they don’t have a nuclear arsenal, but Russia does. Sure, there’s a small chance the US won’t back down and rather destroy the world rather than lose its hegenony, but should Russia and the rest of the non-vassal states accept this status quo indefinitely? They would be stupid if they did.

  7. A nuclear war is a wonderful idea. A lot better than the zombie apocalypse anyway. The worst of all is the prosperous peace with a bunch of child molesters running the world, breeding kids to be used in Satanic rituals.

Just look at Joe Biden, for example: is it not obvious that he is a BDSM freak? He would look only natural in a black leather suit holding a weep, wouldn’t he? And Hillary Clinton – no doubt she is a dominatrix.

  8. BTW these clips came right after British officials started talking about how it was totally cool and smart for the Ukies to use British weapons to take the fight inside Russia. Liz Truss and that Heappey guy said it.

This happened before. Right after the invasion began, Truss went full retard and said the conflict could quickly involve NATO, which caused Russia to raise its nuclear posture to the highest level.

Brits say something, Russia brings up nukes. Feel safer yet?

One thing no one ever brings up about NATO is how it allows weak, loudmouthed countries like Britain to talk as if they weren’t weak. That seems to me to be a huge downside to NATO–the “control yo bitch” factor. If Britain were just isolated as it should be, it would keep its mouth shut. And we’d all be safer.

  9. This comes from disrespecting Russia. Washington can’t stand the idea that Russia is negotiating from a position of strength. The Russians are defeating a sizable NATO trained army in Ukraine. And it is doing it with one hand tied behind its back.

At the end of the war there will be a treaty dictated by Russia and Ukraine will know the consequences if they violate it. The nukes function as a trump card that can be played whenever Russia decides.

    Hence the position of strength.

Nuclear war is not the worst thing, there are truly fates worse than death, and one of the worst is allowing the ZOG states to continue with their current trajectory. If ZOG cities such as London, Washington or Berlins were destroyed the benefits would far outweigh the deaths of the few innocents that still live in those places.

Why should it be a nuclear war? A biological war would do as nicely, and would have the bonus of not damaging infrastructure.

As Ron has pointed out, COVID was likely a (botched) (((U.S.))) attack on China. Nuland and her fellow congenitally ethical peace-lovers had dozens of biological warfare labs installed on Russia’s border.

Perhaps these people ought to go where they want to send everyone else.

If there’s going to be a wider war, it would probably start with conventional weaponry. Regardless of where or who would instigate the expansion, Russia should hit the “City of London” with enough missiles to obliterate it along with the (((financial types))) that infest it. That would be the end of that shit little island full of war mongers and the chain reaction of financial failures over the next few days would crater the rest of the west’s economies. That’s the kind of financial sanctions that won’t fail.

It would be the canary in the coal mine for the US, showing that Russia isn’t bashful about taking out some western real estate. The US would know that it’s a warning for them to STFU and back off, or else.

Israel would also get the message.

  15. @Anonymous

Nuclear blackmail makes sense for Russia.

Correct–the biggest reason is that the US let all of its civilian civil defense preparedness from the Cold War deteriorate until it disappeared. Meanwhile the Russians have maintained their civilian preparations.

Notice that the US politicians are not calling for civil defense preparedness–they could not care less as long as they have their own underground bunkers ready to go.

(In any event those would be hit and miss at best in a nuclear war–most leadership would never get to the bunkers in time.)

    Threatening to nuke European capitals

The US has put them up to all this as the ringleader of NATO. Why not talk of targeting US cities? It’s like putting out arson fires without going after the arsonist. Perhaps this is to highlight to the Europeans that the US is hiding behind them, that they are the frontline of NATO and that war would be fought on their territories and not on that of the US. For its part the US has been threatening to use nuclear weapons ever since it first used them, Korea,Vietnam, Russia, China being some of the proposed targets along the way. Even now idiot American politicians are talking recklessly about war, no-fly zones, sending troops and other non-starters. The rhetoric is too much. And it’s all about something no one even cares about except for the US which has engineered all this.

DONALD Trump warned Vladimir Putin there “would be no Russia” should the United States opt to unleash its full military power.

    Tue, Apr 26, 2022

Donald Trump insisted the United States is holding onto better nuclear weapons than Russia as he issued a stern warning to Vladimir Putin. The Russian President put his nuclear arsenal on “high alert” two days into his invasion of Ukraine in February, fuelling fears of the conflict evolving into a global conflict. But speaking to TalkTV, the former US President warned Moscow that Russia would no longer exist should the US deploy its own arsenal.

Russia Is Being Hacked at an Unprecedented Scale
From “IT Army” DDoS attacks to custom malware, the country has become a target like never before.

    April 27, 2022

The orders are issued like clockwork. Every day, often at around 5 am local time, the Telegram channel housing Ukraine’s unprecedented “IT Army” of hackers buzzes with a new list of targets. The volunteer group has been knocking Russian websites offline using wave after wave of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, which flood websites with traffic requests and make them inaccessible, since the war started.

Russian online payment services, government departments, aviation companies, and food delivery firms have all been targeted by the IT Army as it aims to disrupt everyday life in Russia. “Russians have noticed regular hitches in the work of TV streaming services today,” the government-backed operators of the Telegram channel posted following one claimed operation in mid-April.

The IT Army’s actions were just the start. Since Russia invaded Ukraine at the end of February, the country has faced an unprecedented barrage of hacking activity. Hacktivists, Ukrainian forces, and outsiders from all around the world who are taking part in the IT Army have targeted Russia and its business. DDoS attacks make up the bulk of the action, but researchers have spotted ransomware that’s designed to target Russia and have been hunting for bugs in Russian systems, which could lead to more sophisticated attacks.

  27. For the record, there is zero evidence or reason to believe that a nuclear war would “kill everyone on earth.”

There are plenty of folks inside the Beltway who think the US can win a nuclear war with both China and Russia with a “bolt out of the blue” first strike. More than a few of them own property in Uruguay.

You’re mistaken. Russia would more than likely beat us in a conventional war at this point.

Agreed. It’s not a stretch to speculate that Russia already has full spectrum military dominance in any prospective conflict – especially if China is also factored into the equation.

Moreover, I believe the original commenter was also wrong about Russia’s capacity to compete economically with the USA (again, especially with China also factored in). Case in point, Russia is already shrugging off the combined economic attack of the Western world right now, and it’s the Empire that is in the process of crumbling – not Russia.

First, Trump fails to contest an election that any five-year-old could see was stolen. Next, he stands idly by while his loyal, indeed devoted supporters get locked away in Guantanamo-like conditions for walking into the Capitol at the invitation of the FBI and the Capitol police.

Now, doubtless at the prodding of mama’s boy Kushner, the Jew who does his thinking for him, Trump (who soon will be fatter even than William Howard Taft) tells the (((criminals))) who have been calumniating him and his millions of voters and supporters for nigh on a decade that he backs them in their efforts to make their never-ending war on white people and Christians go nuclear.

So thanks, meamjojo, for offering readers evidence that Trump is a 100 percent sellout to the Jews and hence as worthless a moron and liar as you yourself are.

so given the “shrug” mentality of Russians when it comes to narrative control, I don’t think it’s fair to assume that every talking point is overseen directly by the Kremlin.

    The saying:
    “Tender-handed stroke a nettle,
And it stings you, for your pains:
Grasp it like a man of mettle,
And it soft as silk remains.”

Apparently this is genuinely true of nettles? It’s not true of politics, though. Trying to grasp the narrative “like a man of mettle” comes off as weak and desperate. The more frantically you clutch for control, the less control you have and the more you need. Quite hard to be more self-destructive than going full hall monitor.

While the US is talking about “our values of who we are in a democracy rules based order of stolen yachts,” Russia is saying “well, we’re all going to die some day anyway.”

Why Russians gotta be so Russian? They can’t keep getting away with it, can they?
Narcissism: “I am American, therefore everyone is American. Why would I pretend to act so Russian, the way Russians do?” Literally can’t conceive of a different culture and thinks they’re faking it.

Can’t imagine an army that doesn’t absolutely freak out when a soldier dies.
Russia: “People die in war. It’s a thing. That’ll happen if you join the army.”
American: “Why would you lie like this?”

As the Russians say – and this is true – there is not even any evidence that if Russia started firing nukes, the West would even respond.

The way to do this is have two launching sequences.

First, plan for a perfectly limited shot, which you announce beforehand. “We’re firing nukes from roughly A and B, five individual missiles, targetting these exact GPS co-ordinates.” Could be sober and adult about it.

Then, have a second expedited launching sequence in case they try to pre-empt your launch. “Yeah sorry that’s not how this works. We would have liked a controlled exchange, but I guess we’re doing this way instead? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯”

What actually happens is America is indeed likely to panic and fire all ze missiles, the same way a cop always panics and empties their clip at whatever they try to shoot at. However, there is a very high chance that very few of those missiles actually go boom. Could be as low as 5%, though I figure it’s about 25-30%. Small chance it’s higher, like 60%.

Regardless, there will be a lot of malfunctioning. Much the same way America can’t field a warship these days without crashing into something or lighting it on fire.

Well, guess what: as in most things of this nature, the West/NATO/Neocons started it:

[Joe Biden Should Consider Nuclear Strike on Russia Over Ukraine—GOP Senator]

[Republican Senator Roger Wicker Wicker believes the U.S should not rule out military intervention, including a nuclear strike, when it comes to combatting Russian aggression against Ukraine.]

Correct. DC elites and the Davos clique are interchangeable. If an accurate measure could be taken of American desire to fight a proxy war with Russia in Ukranus the number would be lower than my IQ test score. That’s low.

israel has already been delivered the message, with putin telling telling bennett if they send anymore weapons to ukraine, he’ll send weapons to hezbollah and hamas. nasrallah claims the liberation of palestine imminent and has just warned israel that anymore strikes on iranian assets in syria, could result in an iranian strike on israel.

i’d love to see the look on blinken’s face if the iranian were to finally respond to israeli never ending provocations. talk about getting caught with your pants down.

“telling” the Israelis is a reather weak message. I had something a bit stronger in mind.

I’ve stated previously that Russia should put some of their nukes on Iranian soil, manned exclusively by Russians, making Iran a nuclear nation by proxy. That’s a message the Israeli’s and the US would definitely understand.

I have to admit that Putin has been too forgiving of Israeli actions in Syria. Why he doesn’t just slap the shit out of them is a mystery. They’re like a mosquito buzzing around your ear; an annoying pest.

no need to go nuclear, the iranians have more than enough conventional missiles to obliterate israel, if they so desire. remember the last dust up started with hamas launching a few iranian missiles deep into israel and following up with a barrage their homemade garage built missiles that burned up millions of dollars worth of iron dome missiles. then if hezbollah followed suit with their far more advanced iranian supplied missiles, they would deplete their arsenal to the point that they would then have to run to uncle sam and beg for more armaments. with the ukrainians burning through the u.s./nato stockpiles at an unprecedented rate and u.s. manufacturers warning the pentagon that replacement will take months due to supply chain issues, they may well be facing the perfect storm.

let’s just see if the israelis have the stones to attempt another incursion into lebanon, if so they just might see someone of those nato manpads upclose and personal. i honestly think that putin has led these stupid mfer’s into a trap.

  45. I have to believe there’s an element of inverse-Keynesianism the Russians are pushing these (from his famous quote, when people asked about the impacts of his garbage economic theories on the long-run state of nations / civilizations “Well in the long-run we’re all going to die anyway”).

This quote has single-handedly justified Keynesian economics more than any other theory because it justified debt based money to the big moneyed interests across the UK & US. It made them think “you know what, that Keynes dipshit actually might have a point”.

So no surprise the Russians are pulling this card out now, I’m just surprised they didn’t roll out their own star economist to introduce it.

It’s because Putin is not interested in destroying Israel, he’s interested in stealing them away from the US/UK to be his own client state. Ultimately, Putin wants regional stability, in a place which will be unstable with or without Jews around.

Look at the big picture, in a post-GAE world, Russia has to calculate how they keep the peace. They know the Muslims get up to Muslim things and need to be shown the sword from time to time. So better to keep Israel around to help balance that out. Ultimately, Putin has about as much interest in an expansionary irredentist Persian project as the Jews do. Russia’s biggest security concerns in a post-GAE world are clearly from Iran & Turkey, for different reasons. But they’ve fought I believe more wars against the Turks & Persians than anyone else throughout their history, so they have to weigh these possibilities.

That’s why Putin allows Israel to take out the Iranians in Syria, and also why the Iranians rarely ever react to Israeli aggression. For now, that’s useful for Putin. But, long-term, for Putin & his successor, I would think their interest in Israel is to merely neuter them. Not to mention, there are over 1 million Russian speakers in Israel, many aren’t even Jews, and many from other former Soviet countries (minus Ukraine). It’s almost hilarious, they have their own people in place to takeover when needed. So in a post-GAE world, they can be elevated in Israeli society to do Russia’s bidding (which is starting to happen, Avigdor Lieberman is Moldovan I think and very friendly to the Kremlin).

Plus, there are a lot of Jews from Muslim countries in Israel too, its really a small group of Ashkenazi elites who are the problem. In a different world where the Ashkenazis are driven out of power in Israel, Putin wins by elevating the Russians & Arab / Persian Jews there & perhaps its not so crazy that people whose families lived peacefully alongside Muslims for centuries won’t just return to living that way with the Palestinians if they’re given no other choice.

The USA has similar issues with our old nukes. We have to keep swapping in carefully-preserved old vacuum tubes and train people on old computer languages for example. It is incredibly expensive, as in hundreds of billions, but we actually can afford to do it. Russia is too poor.

I think the Ukrainus bit is a shark jump for the Regime.

  54. @Notsofast

I wasn’t suggesting the use of nukes, just their brandishment. It’s kept North Korea safe for decades.

The fact that the US is running low on its high tech, long lead time toys should indicate that all the US military and NATO posturing is just bluster. They know that they can’t take on an adversary that can outlast their initial supply of very expensive weapons. That’s why “shock and awe” is required, to get a quick decisive appearance of invincibility before the other side figues out there’s nothing left.

All the world’s militaries are just a waste of funds, the US being the most egregious example. Russia can take on their weakling neighbor and succeed, just like the US can take on their multiple weak targets. For the US, it’s just to expend the weapons so new ones need to be manufactured for profit. That’s why the US drags out its incursions. It doesn’t want a quick war, but a simering one that uses up lots of weapons over a long time period to make for record profits for the weapons manufacturers over many years.

  55. @Roothog

Thanks for the explanation. If what you describe is the motive behind world politics, then that just proves that all nations are just mafia’s with flags, something I’ve known for decades. It’s just a bunch of gangs out to secure some turf where they can do what they want with their captive slaves, the citizenry. Governments aren’t there to protect the citizenry, but to abuse them.

Why people think of gov’t in any other way is mystifying. That they vote to glorify the gangs just shows that propaganda works on weak minds.

Whites around the world are not even capable of replacing themselves. All white countries have negative birthrates. It will be worse with so many young White men dying for their respective empires before they have the chance to reproduce.

Thus, when the smoke clears, the world will belong to the Chinese – if they fail to come to the defense of Russia (which seems increasingly likely). And Africans, with their much larger birthrates, will become the largest population in the world. It seems to me that the Davos crowd wants dead white men first, dead “mud” people not so much (of course they could be next).

I’m on the side of Russia, nonetheless I doubt if they have the capacity of weapons to outlast a united West. How much of Russia’s arsenal is being used up to obliterate its targets in Ukraine? At some point they may be running short of high-tech weapons. That’s why the US empire wants a long war, as it will degrade Russia’s ability to keep up the fight.

Maybe that’s why Putin is talking of using his nukes. Maybe he knows that Russia’s stockpile is starting to run low. He didn’t expect such united resistance from the West, as well as such resistance from Ukrainian fighters. I’ll bet he thought that the war would be over by now. The country which runs out of conventional weapons first will be the first to use nukes.

what you say is completely true and it is the achilles heel of the zioneocon/nato warpigs. putin is a master strategist and has lured them into this trap. there’s a reason he let them send all these arms in and is now destroying them in the warehouses and on trains. of course they are going to try to capture as many of the modern nato weapons as they can to arm dpr and lpr forces but they may also end up in the hands of hamas , hezbollah, as well as in syria and iraq.

in the beginning they were sending mostly old soviet weapons but lately they have been sending more and more of their high tech systems as well as trainers and special ops mercenaries. the impending surrender of mariupol will reveal the true extent of natos involvement, this will be a major proganda victory, at least in russia and i fully expect some false flag at the same time to obscure this in the western mockingbird media. both the british and american defense industries are warning of delayed production in restocking their diminishing arsenals.

if the situation in palestine and lebanon heat up , israel could end up having to deplete their current iron dome inventories before the iranians enter the scene directly.

china is warning the west about arming taiwan and says they will respond to any new systems being put in place. if all three situations escalate, nato won’t know whether to shit or wind their watch.

I keep wondering why the US / NATO hasn’t sent missiles into the steel plant to destroy the evidence that Putin is sure to use once the Ukrainian forces are neutralized. The documents, the foreign soldiers, the biological material, etc are a tempting target for the west to deny Putin the propaganda victory, never mind that foreign military would be an overt admission that the west is part of the war up to their necks. It may happen yet, and to paraphrase Albright – it would be worth it to kill off their own.

I suspect that Putin has used the last 8 years to build up his stock pile of weapons, knowing he’s going to encounter the US / NATO at some point in this adventure. If he hasn’t then he’s playing checkers too.

“I keep wondering why the US / NATO hasn’t sent missiles into the steel plant to destroy the evidence that Putin is sure to use once the Ukrainian forces are neutralized.”

That’s easy. The holdouts are deep underground in Cold War bomb shelters under the plant. The US doesn’t have the technology to blast these shelters, at least not without using a ballistic missile or getting a bomber on site. For obvious reasons, that ain’t happening.

Russia may have the technology to do this with their hypersonic missiles. They supposedly blew up a Ukie ammo dump that was in an old Soviet underground nuclear weapon storage facility. There have been reports they penetrated the underground bunker, but I haven’t been able to find convincing evidence of this. A friend of mine who watches Chinese media says Chinese sources specifically disclaim that the missile penetrated the bunker.
If the Khinzhal or Zircon did have this ability, it would be a game-changer. For example, the bunkers under the White house, or under the Denver airport, etc etc are unlikely to be any deeper than the Soviet nuke weapons bunker. In that case, Russia has many more strategic options than all out MAD.
This takes on even more importance if nuclear weapons, as I believe, don’t even exist. Recent US behavior such as cancelling arms reduction treaties, risking direct conflict with Russia, saying Russia “exaggerates” in warning of nuclear conflict, etc, certainly argues for this hypothesis. Of course, there are many technical reasons why nuke weapons appear to be a hoax, but that’s a long story.

However, next-generation hypersonic missiles that Russia, China and the U.S. are developing do pose a significant threat to national and global security.

When a horse’s ass like Joe Biden issues executive orders, what is that but a dictator issuing a fatwa?

That’s a geriatric alzheimer-stricken sock puppet reading the scripts that he’s given by the real masters hidden behind the curtain.

But again, speaking of dictators, you’re threshing about complaining about a bunch of genocidal Satanists – what else exactly should we expect from people like that?

The solution is to get rid of the political class, not appoint another asshole as supreme criminal.

I agree entirely, abolish the political class, and prevent any lowlife scum from attaining any position to call the shots. Australia is a case in point, with a Satanic Globalist pedophile currently in the top spot, while New Zealand appears to have a buck-tooth token tranny psycopath running the joint.

That being said, there remain inestimable advantages to be gained from consolidating and organising the resources of a nation and its people – stability, economies of scale and unity of purpose and other such concepts, as well as maintaining a visible disincentive to those who would cause anarchy.

So I maintain that the optimum solution is to acquire a benevolent dictator who has the best interests of the people at heart. Someone who has the wisdom and stength to knock a country into shape while standing up for the little guy, for the families and the children and the long term future.

That’s not an easy thing to accomplish – it’s easy to find a dictator, but it’s hard to find a good one, and even harder to keep him or her when you do. Muammar Gaddafi was a good one. So was Fidel Castro. Saddam Hussein maybe not so much, but how has Iraq been doing since he’s gone?

Hydrogen bombs rely on tritium, which has a human-scale shelf-life. They’ve probably spoiled, and America no longer has anyone unWoke enough to make and install more tritium.

That tritium is produced on demand as the bomb explodes, lithium-6 gets transmuted to it.

It’s the primaries, the fission devices that are boosted with tritium, and we can make and manipulate it just fine. Substitute some reactor fuel rods with gas tight ones containing lithium-6 and send those off to the Savannah River Site every refueling cycle, which also replenishes the tritium in the U.K.’s warheads. We do have a problem in that we’re only doing this in one reactor due to the usual suspects, but the technical capability is there.

You are right that for everyone the biggest uncertainty is if these not tested in a long time warheads still work, but that’s true for everyone. If you’re sane you have to assume your’s don’t work and your enemy’s does.

The Device Assembly Facility contains about 9,290 m2 (100,000 ft2) of interior floor space within a Critical Assembly Zone composed of approximately 22 acres.

Nuclear devices are taken off the shelf all the time for inspections and upgrades.

Nuclear weapons are real. They work.

Doubts? Go back to your 9th grade Chemistry Class, or 10th grade Physics Class; that’s all the education one needs to understand the principle of criticality and the reality of nuclear detonation.

[And the internet has enough data, one could read for six weeks and not cover all the details publicly available on the subject.]

Inventoried nuclear devices are randomly pulled from storage for complete inspection and testing of components on a regular basis.

All the components can be tested without violating any treaties.

The Tritium package is replaced as a matter of course.

This inspection and testing goes on constantly at various sites around the world by all possessors.

Rest assured: when called upon to be deployed by anyone, the last thing YOU need to worry about is whether they will work.

They WILL work!! – all too well.

The threat of the use of nuclear weapons by any possessor is NOT hollow nor frivolous – when issued, the possessor MEANS business – bad business.

He and too many other people forget this is old technology, we of course did it during the early 1940s and many nations have managed the trick since then. Very few failed their first test, not sure if that list has more the North Korea in it (systematically starving almost your entire population is not going to help you do technical things even with instructions).

I repeat, it’s an unknown to the point you can’t depend on your devices working or your enemy’s not working, or the reverse. You just won’t know unless and until you do real testing or try to use them in anger. And that uncertainty helps forestall the latter from the nations that have observed the 1996 Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, which doesn’t include India, Pakistan, or North Korea. Before then, the 1963 Partial Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (which was a technical ambush by the Soviets) was ignored by France, the PRC, and South Africa and/or Israel (that said do it underground, which also generally precludes full strength testing of thermonuclear devices).

Oh, of course. Fascism point 6: newspeak. In American newspeak, ‘ignorance’ is one of the replacements for the term [heresy].

Why wouldn’t you Believe if you knew what you’re supposed to Believe? Obviously our local religion is plain universal truth. That’s just how it works, right? As de Tocqueville noted in 1836, Americans are ridiculously conformist about ideas. They don’t need a central censor because they’re so trigger-happy about censoring each other.

As a totalitarian religion, there are even fatwas about the details of whether it’s fission or fusion that uses tritium. Very Scientific.

Not so Scientific that you discuss facts rather than obeying the fatwas, but they make an effort to keep up appearances. The actual reason I mention specific details is precisely to risk being corrected, and in a real country everyone would do the same. When I get very lucky, I might learn something. One day a miracle will occur and what I learn will even be relevant to the main argument…

One of the catechisms confirms we all have to be terrified of nukes at all times. Sadly they explicitly hide among non-catechism to disguise the religious nature of the phenomenon, due to the [separation of church and state] thing, and they most certainly aren’t explicitly numbered, so who knows which catechism it is.

Anti-terrorism is a sin. Be scared even if they don’t work.

Unfortunately, I’m not interested in this stupid religion. What I’m interested in is an accurate probability estimate of stuff going boom. Those odds are low. As far as I’m concerned, you’re welcome to be scared if you want to be, but it’s none of my business. Risk tolerance varies widely, after all.

Sadly they can immediately tell I’m not interested in their low-IQ religion and get triggered, so even the facts get obscured by a deluge of middle-school posturing, while they try to socially corner me into adopting their frame. Pretending I’m a mere heretic instead of heathen or apostate.

“The sky jujube munga-wumba created the world.”
“You look confused! It was actually Haeland! I can see how He might look like this munga-wumba at times!”

If someone is trying to honestly communicate in good faith, they may try to meet this Sophistry half-way. Better to recognize it as Sophistry. They’re pretending you’re not a heathen to try to pressure you into acting like you’re not a heathen. They key word is “pretending,” though. It’s a lie. Lies are bad, mmmkay.

The proper candidate requires a singular selfless spiritual devotion to his (or her) people. Total devotion to the well-being of the nation – a vocation of self-sacrifice, if you will. Paradoxically, a true servant exercising the best interests of the people with an iron fist.

Of course, all these ideas are just aspirations, and as you say (given human nature) almost literally impossible to realise. The very best possible practically realizable model of human governance, but also the most elusive.

That’s why the good ones are so few and far between, and so hard to find, and so hard to keep. But there have been a few good ones, even in our lifetimes.

Perhaps you’re correct, and we should be pursuing what is more easily achievable, rather than the ideal.

FWIW, the age-old model of a kingdom ruled by royalty is a species of dictatorship – and we generally accept that a truly good Queen (or King) rules with benevolence and is loved by their people. Or not.

The proper candidate requires a singular selfless spiritual devotion to his (or her) people.

Logically you’re saying again that the candidate doesn’t exist.

We can see empirically this never occurs.

We can ask Plato and he says philosopher-kings, if they exist, would flat-out refuse the job. (Plato then says to force them, but it’s a philosopher-king, good luck with that one.) Frankly, governing well is a shit job.

Partly because it’s boring. The positive decisions can largely be made by a trained monkey. The first hard part is refraining from pursuing all the bad decisions. If your subordinates aren’t wholly incompetent they already know what to do; being a good king is largely about telling them ‘no’ all the time when they try to do something other than what they already know they’re supposed to do. Being strategically lazy is not exactly a fulfilling vocation. That and playing daddy to a bunch of alleged grown-ups. Fuck that job.

The second hard part is fighting off the endless waves of madmen and parasites that want to kill you and take the throne, exactly so they can make all the bad decisions you’re avoiding. As with all real-world military jobs, it’s mostly tedium spiked with moments of sheer terror. Hurry up and wait, and then 99% of the time it’s a false alarm. Largely a routine of taking out the trash, and occasionally someone accidentally hires a competent assassin and you have a real fight on your hands.

“Why do these idiots keep challenging me?”

“They literally have clinical-level brain problems, sire.”

“Oh, right. How silly of me not to notice.”

a vocation of self-sacrifice, if you will.

    Self-sacrifice is a sin.

Even if a miracle occurred and you found such an inhuman monster to carry out the needful, they would self-immolate. They would rapidly consume themselves in the effort. “I need you to do something for me. In return I offer a slow, grinding death.” This is simply a bad trade. No wonder Plato’s philosopher-king fights tooth and nail against the offer of the crown.

I propose instead to follow a leader voluntarily. The deal should be profitable on both sides – whatever that takes. Unless it’s my leader, it’s none of my business. With amusement I refer to myself as anarcho-feudalist. It’s like anarcho-capitalist except you take the consequences seriously. Yes, folk will own whole cities as personal fiefs, and their citizens thank god for that.

  105. @Kenneth's frequency

No one person should have that kind of power.

    … and yet they do.

Given the herding instincts of the human species, it’s arguably inevitable. Complex systems self-organising to a predictable repeatable quasi-stable end state.

Better to have someone with empathy and concern for the welfare of the population, than not. Better to have someone who responds to the needs of their people and not to their own personal hubris or worse, some hidden puppet-master.

And there have been a few good ones – most of whom (as Bill Gates would say, “sadly”) have been overthrown and removed by external forces commanded by genuine despots.

The “City of London” and New York are the primary financial centers where the tribe gets their power and where all the super rich have their funds, either directly or indirectly through numerous secondary locations tied back to the primary.

Taking out England’s source of income will give them local issues to deal with. Neither their nuclear capability or their military in total is any match for Russia. The US and Israel are nuclear powers and taking on both of those at once might actually lead to nuclear retaliation. The “City of London” can be dealt with using conventional weapons. For those that don’t know, the “City of London” isn’t London.

Israel must know that Russia could swamp all their defenses and turn their gang hideout into a smoldering mess, just with conventional weaponry. For the Israelis to overtly piss off Russia or for Russia to overtly piss off Israel just isn’t smart.

Israel gets dealt with by destroying their ultimate source of power – funny money. Soon, commodity money will replace fiat around the globe simply because there’s no alternative. Fiat has reached its limit with trillions that can never be repaid and hyperinflation will educate everyone to that fact. Israel and the US get taken out when their currency manufacturing machine gets destroyed.

Chauvin was following official procedure. Still found guilty.
Maybe we can argue about what procedure should be, but they fired everyone who didn’t follow it, so it’s hard to blame the guy regardless of the truth. Further, if he’s guilty, isn’t the whole shop guilty? Shouldn’t they jail everyone who followed the same procedures? If it killed Floyd, didn’t it almost kill lots of other folk?

Their own actions are self-condemnation. “Yes, we don’t believe a damn word out of our own mouths.”

Indeed, they will institute procedures specifically designed to get more cops killed. And then, naturally, have to walk them back while trying to save face. The result being a total mess of conflicting messages and unclear discipline.
    “Defund the police.”
“No wait shit we need police for the anarcho-tyranny. Who will defend CNN from the riots that CNN incites?”

I would guess it happened long ago, but yes it could be recent that cops will empty a mag downrange at every threat, no matter how minor. Indeed multiple mags at times.
I would guess that some cops reholstered after the first hit, and were shot for their troubles, but most didn’t. But, as per my wording, this is just a guess. I just know that now the best thing you can say about American cops is that they aren’t Mexican cops. Could be worse!

They aren’t real law-enforcers. When ordered not to suppress a riot, they should arrest the ones ordering them to stand down and then suppress it anyway. Just jail anyone pro-crime until they figure out what the hell is going on, so to speak. Until that happens the exact details are not important.

Police promote crime. Conquest’s Third is an Iron Law. Arguing about exactly how many rounds they use to promote crime isn’t really a useful way to spend time.

1850s England had no police. The local sheriff was an unpaid “volunteer” position and if you brought a lawbreaker to court you had to pay for the privilege. Nobody had guns. This resulted in crime rates roughly 1/50th of modern rates. Functionally zero.
Singapore has flogging. Flogging works. Jail doesn’t.

It’s 360 degrees of corruption. You have to really work to be this bad at suppressing crime.

Someone forgot to tell the NYPD not to put down the riots the first night. Wasn’t hairy. They were suppressed without issue. Likewise, refer to occupy wall street. A couple of rentacops were plenty to suppress the demonstrators – the only thing more cowardly than police is bike lock man. “Let us in!” “No.” “Well…okay….” This isn’t the Ukraine; it’s super easy, especially with rubber bullets and tear gas.
