According to one book I read on the CIA’s inner workings, these worthies have infiltrated every single branch of the government. The head of the CIA can contact each former CIA operative at any time and give instructions or receive information.

After all, given the age of the people involved in the JFK incident, most of them are dead, and even if the details of the entire incident are released, it should not have much impact.

C. D. Jackson is the guy who picked up the Zapruder film of the JFK assasination to protect the integrity of this film (which supposedly has been tempered with) was 2IC of the US psychlogical warfare division in ww2.
One of the Units under him was the Special Motion Picture Coverage Unit (SPECOU) under George Stevens (OSS, presented evidence at the first of the nuremberg trials and presented as well as interviewed eye witnesses) seems to be the primary source for films and pictures from the US side in france and germany. They filmed Dachau, Buchenwald, Mauthausen and other places. It is very interesting what made it into the propaganda / witness films and where the original matierial was cut. Basically if you see pictures/film material from that timeframe in france, germany, austria and between there is a very high chance it comes from this unit.
Ernest Hemmingway (who bragged about murdering german POWs) moved with this unit because his brother was a member. One of his sons was in the OSS in france too and the story of his recrutment in Algiers is quite interesting (supposedly at a dinner with Randolph Churchill and one of the Rothschilds).
