Looks like the frat brothers of Animal House are at it again. First, they get on the internet and make out like they are Russian trolls trying to throw the election and now this Nazi poster shit? Bluto and Flounder are laughing their asses off!

No one protested Mel Brooks’ movie. I think what it comes down to is anything you want to say or do has to be approved by Jewish authorities first (ADL or some other Jewish organization). Governor Cuomo was just doing what the Jews expect of him, or else. You can’t have too many Jewish friends in high places but you will probably regret it if you don’t have enough. Politicians are very aware of this.
I’m not a big fan of Mel Brooks, but I thought The Producers was hilarious.

But if anyone had mocked the Jews as done to Germans in many films like these for decades after the war, they would have screamed to the high heavens. And there is a lot of material to work with if one chose to mock Jews. They stood out like a sore thumb in Europe for unique dress and customs and many still stand out today. One of the best at caricaturing Jews in National Socialist Germany was the Newspaper Der Stürmer. It had cartoons every bit as effective, perhaps even more so than the Jews have in their movies mocking Germans. After the war, the allies tortured and then murdered the newspapers owner, Julius Streicher. The Jews hated him and could have played a role in this, as several politicians and others openly discussed the major role Jews played at the Nuremburg Trials.

While blackface has been criticized for decades, there was no such criticism for movies mocking Germans. But somehow, maybe because I found it so funny, this move didn’t seem to show hatred towards Germans, despite the fact nearly every actor and executive responsible for making the movie was Jewish.
