There is no other way to say it: It was a political assassination.

Osama bin Laden was unarmed. SEALs captured him alive. Following brazenly illegal orders from Washington, they executed him. “The (Obama) administration had made clear to the military’s clandestine Joint Special Operations Command that it wanted bin Laden dead,” The Atlantic reported on May 4, 2011.

State-controlled media outlets like The Atlantic claimed that President Barack Obama was desperate to avoid a trial that would give the al-Qaida leader a “high-profile platform for spreading his extremist views.” Left unsaid, as so much is in the American steno-journalism reminiscent of the Soviet Union, was a more pressing reason to silence the Saudi scion.

As much as the families of 9/11 victims craved justice, it was infinitely more important to the U.S. political establishment to deny bin Laden an opportunity to publicly expound on his ties to the CIA and the CIA-funded Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, who were training and funding the “Afghan Arabs” who fought Soviet occupation forces in Afghanistan during the 1980s. Letting people learn that 9/11 would likely never have happened if not for the CIA would have been… awkward.

Such is the fate of enemies of the state.

Last week, not so much an enemy but a man whose existence had become inconvenient, not exactly to the state but certainly to a cabal of powerful men, including a former president as well as the sitting one, joined bin Laden in the kingdom of the dead.

The official narrative of billionaire accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s death shifted faster than a New York subway rider when a homeless guy plops down next to them on a hot day. First, they said Epstein had been on suicide watch, and then that he hadn’t. Prisons are full of cameras, yet there’s still no video of Epstein’s death. Then, suicide watch or not, they claimed he’d been checked on every 30 minutes. Then more like every three hours. The medical examiner said his injuries were consistent with strangulation by a second person, but then thought better of it and ruled Epstein’s convenient demise a suicide.

I tweeted the morning of Epstein’s passing: “Bill Clinton is the happiest man in America today.” Clinton flew on Epstein’s infamous “Lolita Express” private jet at least six times, including to such sex-tourism destinations as Thailand and Hong Kong. Perhaps he refrained from partaking in the underaged prostitutes and rape victims Epstein stands accused of procuring for his traveling companions. Whatever happened or didn’t, the Epstein-Clinton connection is sketchy.

As is Epstein’s suicide — the first at the Manhattan Correctional Facility since 1998.

At this writing, it seems unlikely that we’ll ever know who killed Epstein, whether it be himself or someone else. What we do know is that, if we take the government at its word, they were incompetent and negligent to an unfathomable extent. Being insanely stupid and lazy is their defense.

Now we’re descending into the usual idiotic post-death debate between credulists (those who believe anything the government and its pet media says) and conspiracy theorists. Truth: No one knows anything. We weren’t there. The video was, but they deep-sixed that.

ORDER IT NOW

We don’t know how Epstein bit it but the fact of Epstein’s death tells us everything we need to know about America today. No matter what, Epstein died because the government let it happen. He was a ward of the state, the highest of high-profile prisoners, a man whose trial stood to expose extreme wrongdoing at the expense of numerous horribly violated victims, yet no one in charge took steps to make certain that he appeared at every hearing healthy and alive.

The carelessness of the powers that be reflects their confidence that they shall never, ever, be held accountable for anything.

So another man vanishes, and the few questions asked are left unanswered — intentionally.

So it was with Moammar Gadhafi, the Libyan dictator who signed a deal with the U.S. to rid Libya of a nuclear program only to be blown up by one of Obama’s assassination drones lest he say too much about his relationship with the Bush administration.

So it was with Chris Dorner, the police officer who went on a shooting spree after he was fired by the LAPD, apparently in retaliation for reporting a fellow cop’s excessive force against a mentally ill suspect, before being hunted down and killed in a cabin the police set ablaze with “pyrotechnic tear gas” canisters.

So it was with Sandra Bland, the African-American woman who apparently killed herself after being beaten and jailed by the police for the crimes of failing to signal a lane change, sassiness and the likelihood she would have spoken out about being brutalized.

So it was a bunch of Nazi war criminals who escaped judgment at Nuremberg.

So it was Lee Harvey Oswald, whom the authorities couldn’t resist parading before reporters, without screening attendees like Jack Ruby for weapons.

More will die.

It’s better for those in charge.

Considering all the ‘irregularities’…it is not even possible to state with any real certainty that Epstein is in fact dead…

Like you said we know NOTHING…and that includes the supposed identification of the body…

Why would they bother with honey trap blackmail and assassination then? Surely an open dictatorship of force would be more effective because everyone would be frightened.

“The (Obama) administration had made clear to the military’s clandestine Joint Special Operations Command that it wanted bin Laden dead,”

Well they sent the SEALs, but that was who operated in Afghanistan. If the rumors are true they all lined up and each shot him in a very unprofessional way that ripped his corpse apart, and sound like brutish young men having fun rather than obeying an order from above . If it had been the Delta Force maybe it would have been different. Maybe not, you don’t need a gun for the cops to shoot you so the SEALS doing so for little reason is no great shock.

No matter what, Epstein died because the government let it happen.

He was in prison as a punishment rather than to stop him fleeing but they had not considered the likelihood of him deciding to end it all. Very few people of Epstein’s age are suddenly looking at the rest of their life in prison doing hard, hard time. No one goes from luxury to where he was with nothing to look forward to without considering suicide. Unless he chooses to truthfully articulate it, a prisoner’s inner mental state is not something anyone could know but he himself.

It was hardly surprising the idea of suicide crossed his mind, which was something the judge and prosecutors ought to have considered. Even if it was possible to have prisoners on permanent suicide watch, if someone is determined to kill themselves they will do it. There are ways even if you are naked in a padded room. Fact is Epstein was not an idiot and had the very best of reasons to check himself out.

Moammar Gadhafi was not “blown up by one of Obama’s assassination drones.” He was captured by Libyan rebels hiding in a culvert, anally raped with a bayonet and beaten to death.

Kingdom? Is there anything more Democratic than death?

Recently, a 79-year-old Koch billionaire shuffled off the mortal coil and joined the Democracy of the Dead.

  6. @Bill H

The rebels were being guided. NSA was tracing his cell phone. He had tried to surrender.

It is still a mystery as to where Libya’s gold went.

So this is your hero, a guy who murders the daughter and fiancée of the police chief? This guy got exactly what he deserved for the crimes he committed.

  8. @MarkinLA

Even Dorner’s death is suspicious, as to what really burnt up in the cabin.
His driver license was found intact (much like a KSA passport) close to the San Diego airport, far from the cabin in the mountains.
The LA cops shot up two Asian ladies in a pickup of the wrong make and color as Dorner’s truck.
So many of those events listed are hoaxes.
I doubt OBL (CIA guest Tim Osman) was there at all when they “killed” him.
Then the entire SEAL team was killed riding in one chopper. Or they have new identities.
Conveniently there is a restriction against displaying images of dead Muslims and the USA totally respects Religion. Something was dumped at sea on some ship at some point in time and space.
    That’s what we really know.

  9. Osama bin Laden was unarmed. SEALs captured him alive. Following brazenly illegal orders from Washington, they executed him.

Yeah, sure … if you believe the official story. I’ve always suggested they disposed of the body at sea so that no one could inspect it for freezer burn. OBL had been dead for years, but it was useful for years to pretend he was alive and and that he and al Quaeda were an existential threat to The Free World®, and they only “captured” and “killed” him once he was past his Use-By date.

Wherever it went, you can be sure the folks in The City of London have re-hypothecated it ten times over.

  11. Great article.
It is beyond mind boggling that given the ridiculousness of the government’s stories & the gross inconsistencies in the stories AND the State’s “form” in these areas that the msm has so quickly shut the story down, using that increasingly futile insult of “conspiracy theory”.
If anyone held any doubts as to how pernicious & wicked the msm is (to say they are “compromise d is laughably inadequacate, this story should put a bullet in the head of such doubts. If only we could put a bullet into the head of the msm….

  12. @MarkinLA

God’s sake ! Rall doesn’t even hint or imply that this Dornor guy is a “hero”. It’s either malicious intent or foolishness to suggest.
Never mind the fact that it’s beside the point, whether he “deserved” it or not (what he deserved was to be judged by 12 of his peers, & if
    guilty punished appropriately)
The point IS that US governments have a history of killing people in suspicious circumstances when that person may prove inconvenient to the State & it’s elites.

There are immense problems with the bin Ladin narrative …

No attempt at sympathy with the killer there. In addition, the US government had nothing to do with this. It was a multi-unit (city and county) task force because he was killing people all over southern California. This had nothing to do with “silencing” some great truth teller. He was out there killing innocent people. He had a machine gun that he intentionally danced around the law to get. He was a nut who needed to be put down.

Minor point: Gaddafi was tortured to death after being captured by US-sponsored ‘rebels’, not blown away in a drone strike.

So our message to the world is: make nice with the US and we’ll destroy your country and torture and kill you and your family. How’s that for incentive?

You still can’t get Ralls’s point can you?
It’s not about the justice or lack of it, it’s the fact that inconvenient people some how often tend to wind up conveniently dead, before they can make public statements. Nor is it just about the police. There’s no necessarity that the police were involved in Epstein’s convenient demise.
    Incidentally, do really think:
“In addition, the US government had nothing to do with this. It was a multi-unit (city and county) task force because he was killing people all over southern California”
What, do you think the police command texts out “hit”
    orders ?
Perhaps most police officers have a pretty good pre-existing idea as to who they should or shouldn’t kill. Plus a wink here & a nudge there & I suspect they were fully programmed to bring finality to this massive embarrassment.

  19. @animalogic

Yet Ralls can’t bring himself to bring up the interesting fact that the number of implausible/impossible deaths associated with the Clinton’s is now in the high 30’s at least.

  20. @The Alarmist

Well reported by the CIA that OBL died from his very well known kidney affliction THREE years before the media event on the house in Pakistan done for Obama’s PR campaign, and as another commented above, noted, soon the Seal Team’s chopper went down in remote Afghan area.

Repeating the lies about Bin Laden is not going to change the fact that 9/11 was an inside job carried out largely by the Israelis.

Rall isn’t taking distrust far enough. The rule is: When media tell us which point we should be arguing about, we need to ignore that point and look for deeper questions. In this case the media gave us “conflicting” evidence on the question of suicide vs homicide. That’s where we are supposed to argue. So the real question is deeper. Did he die? We have no way of knowing, because all the witnesses are absent.

This is similar to the Skripal case, where everyone agreed that the Skripals were poisoned but disagreed on how and when. Again there was no evidence at all for poison. The only thing we knew for sure is that the Skripals were SEEN appearing to be unconscious. So the plain truth is that the Skripals were playing a part in the stagecraft.

  23. “….So it was a bunch of Nazi war criminals who escaped judgment at Nuremberg………..”

Nuremberg the kangaroo court established by the victors with evidence collected by Stalin
Let’s use the biggest lie of them all to justify other lies in the story
Ted, if after 70 years you cannot admit to the first lie how will you be able to address the others?

  24. “More will die.” And still many more need to die. If you have not figured it out yet, this is a war. Which side are you on?

  25. laura ann says:
    @FB

Epstein isn’t dead, the corse on the displayed stretcher was not him (nose and ear shown not the same) He has taken on a new identity and is working for the CIA.

  26. tuco22 says:

Yes, but the autopsy said the hyoid bone was broken, and that’s always a tell-tale sign of strangulation because it’s difficult to break that bone trying to hang yourself the way they said he did (from a doorknob). The hyoid bone is a wishbone-shaped bone high in the neck. Pathologists can tell a strangulation death from a hanging death from the condition of the hyoid bone. And in any case, isn’t it strange that he got it “right” the first time around, trying to hang himself?

  27. Lakhana says:

Sorry but Obama was dead from kidney failure long before your claim. Simply not true.

  28. Generally well intentioned article but all you need to do today is read about Judges, Cops, Criminals with dirt on Powerful people, Politicians, Bankers, Spies, Witnesses, Scientists, Clinton Associates & notice how many commit “Suicide” & you know it’s All Bullshit.

  29. JoeBlow says:

Bin Laden died in late 2001, while in the care of the CIA.

  30. My wife and I always share a huge laugh when the detective in a TV police drama tells some low-level perp she’s trying to flip, “talk to us — we can protect you.”

  32. R.G. Camara says: • Website

This would be a lot more convincing if it didn’t come from Ted Rall, a man so dumb he thinks Pope Francis will “clean up” and “save” the Church—the liberation-theology Pope who has covered for and protected more corrupt gay clergy for their preying on teenage boys than anyone.

And let’s not forget: Rall’s cries for justice ring hollow from an atheist who cannot show where his moral code comes from. If we don’t know where what he means by “justice”, and he won’t explain, he likely doesn’t want actual justice at all.

In short, Epstein was murdered, but Rall is hardly the man to listen to for that, being untrustworthy and stupid as it is.
