Remember, our friends at The New York Times have publicly admitted 75 percent of mass shooters in the United States are black. [A Drumbeat of Multiple Shootings, but America Isn’t Listening: Most shootings with four deaths or injuries are invisible outside their communities. And most of the lives they scar are black., New York Times, 5-23-16]

So because black people (and non-whites) commit so much gun violence in America, white people must surrender their 2nd Amendment rights. [America’s epidemic of gun violence is hurting our mental health,, November 7, 2019]:

The little research that does exist on the effects of gun violence on mental health tends to focus on the mental health effects of mass shootings (usually defined as four or more people dying in a single place) and does not examine the effects of the “daily” gun violence that is common in many larger urban and suburban areas, where people are shot and killed every day by guns.

These events of firearm violence are not reported by the media as often as mass shootings, but they can be equally traumatic and invoke just as much daily fear, if not more, as they are much more common than mass shootings.

People living in areas particularly affected by everyday gun violence, which are usually poor neighborhoods and neighborhoods with a high proportion of people of color, report that they constantly feel on edge from the threat of gun violence. Additionally, they report that because of the constant nature of gun violence in their neighborhoods, there is no time to heal from one tragedy before the next one occurs.

In their article “Gun Violence and the Minority Experience,” Yolanda T. Mitchell and Tiffany L. Bromfield reported that no matter where a shooting was witnessed — whether it be at school, in the community, or at home — people experienced increased risk of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and drug and alcohol abuse.

There is still a great deal to learn about the ways in which America’s gun violence epidemic affects the mental health of Americans, whether they be directly impacted by gun violence on a daily basis or just exposed to the threat of gun violence in the media.

However, from what little research has been done, and from testimonials of those affected by firearm-related violence, it is clear that the impacts of gun violence extend far beyond death and physical injury: Americans’ mental and emotional health are also at stake as a result of this public health crisis and should be considered when evaluating the devastating problem of gun violence in America.

Because non-white people can’t stop shooting one another, our nation’s mental health is in jeopardy. Thus, white people must surrender their 2nd Amendment rights and give up their guns.

This is where the Left is in 2019 when it comes to gun violence and non-whites committing the bulk of the firearm crime in America.

Never, ever forget: gun control is about disarming white America.

  3. True enough but it goes further. The whole “assault rifle” campaign is a well-constructed delusion aimed at disarming the people that have them–mostly white–while leaving those that don’t–ghetto gang-bangers with stolen weapons they don’t even understand how to reload–alone. If people of color were specified in any gun control initiative, the furor would be nuclear. So they go on willfully not seeing what is before them on a day to day basis while believing in something that isn’t there. Amazing and dispiriting, but that is where we are and I don’t see change coming unless . . . well, UNLESS!

  8. I’m wondering how much of this is simply political theater to keep focus on hot-button issues while the rest of the important topics go unaddressed. These aren’t ‘white peoples’ screaming to get guns out of the hands of white people. Oh, maybe the occasional, misguided soccer-mom…but those who steadily and consistently reach for gun control as a first response to POC violence are those who ride the socialist/communist/Marxist agenda to the hilt.

They’ve been ‘coming for’ so called assault weapons for thirty years or more. They realize they can’t get them but they push the agenda anyway.

When they succeed in passing some stupid, arbitrary law regarding bayonet lugs or pistol grip stocks, the industry simply retools and puts a more ‘camera friendly’ accessory on the rifle and then sells you the aftermarket original part.

There are guns you have to take to the range, to take hunting, to take to bust birds… and then there are those you ‘don’t’ have. They are kept with several thousand rounds of ammo that you don’t have either.

So what are we talking about this again for?

I pray they actually succeed in a nationwide ban. I pray that because I believe it would be the only thing to wake people the fuck up!

Maybe when you’re forced to make Sten-like machine pistols in bicycle shops and basements, folks will finally realize how deep-seated the enemy is in our government.

Fighting to get something back focuses the mind more than these silly little lawyer games we have no control over.

Meanwhile, social psychologists and political scientists have considered collective hysteria to be a characteristic of conservatives alone, with one begrudging but important exception. Four years after publishing a paper on “the relationship between personality traits and political ideologies,” the American Journal of Political Science admitted that the article contained an ever-so-slight error. When they delivered the results of their study, the authors “exactly reversed” the findings where the left and right were concerned. The periodical’s editors have now issued a correction: it is liberals who exhibit the personality trait of “psychoticism” and not, as stated in the original article, conservatives. I saw this psychoticism first-hand, although I was the one called crazy.

Like Yolanda and Tiffany, I also wrote an essay for the NCFR. Mine was entitled “Black Violence and the White Experience.” It details the epidemic of black-on-white crime in this country and the increasing levels of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and drug and alcohol abuse experienced by whites and their family members, who have been victimized by the scourge of black-on-white violence.

For some reason, the NCFR rejected it.

    Huh…imagine that!

I do wonder what it will take to wake people up. The only thing I see that will is just a wholesale collapse of our clownworld system. Nothing short of that will do. People need to wake up one day to find that the electric grid has gone down, that their stupid cell phones stopped working, that their TV sets no longer function, and they’ve lost all connection to the internet and all the perishables in their refrigerators just spoiled. And then they come to the realization that, oops, there’s no food in the house that they can cook without a microwave (that no longer works) and there’s barely enough water trickling out of the tap.

And there’s no end in sight as to when any of it gets restored.

    That’s when they wake up.

But, sadly, for most it will then be too late. They will end up as food for somebody else.

Odd thing, he used his connection to the Weathermen, as well as his service to Hugo Chavez’ revolutionary govt in Venezuela, as resume enhancers in his campaign.

It was a successful strategy. But the crux of his campaign was against the SFPD. At his election party last week, there was a chorus of celebratory chants, the most prominent “F#kk the Police”.

In a city that leads the nation in car breakins, stolen cars, vandalism, shoplifting, squalid filthy diseased streets and muggings, Boudin vows to prosecute “Corporate Landlords” and ICE agents.

It doesn’t appear conditions will be improving in SF anytime soon, probably best to stay away. And hopefully this sort of thing can be confined to Cal and other lefty controlled, dying cities thru out the US.

OT: A career Air Force master sergeant has been busted down one stripe to tech sergeant and will likely be discharged. According to the article below, he “was identified as a member and organizer of Identity Evropa by the group Colorado Springs Anti-Fascists in an online post in April.”

So, the USAF is taking its tips from Antifa now?

I wonder if there are any penalties for being a member of BLM, or if that’s seen as a plus?

I noticed the article did not have anything even slightly negative to say about Antifa.

For anyone hoping the military will somehow straighten things out when civilization crashes, guess again. This is the same US government organization that celebrates Black History Month (as well as Hispanic-American Month and Gay Pride Month) and has practiced affirmative action for decades.

Airman accused of white nationalist ties loses stripe after investigation — but still in the Air Force
    By: Stephen Losey

An airman at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been reduced in rank from master sergeant to technical sergeant after an investigation into his alleged ties to a white nationalist group.

But Tech. Sgt. Cory Reeves remains in the Air Force as of now, according to the Air Force. It remains unclear whether the Air Force will move to separate him.

Reeves, who was then a master sergeant at the 50th Space Wing at Schriever, was identified as a member and organizer of Identity Evropa by the group Colorado Springs Anti-Fascists in an online post in April. The anti-fascist group also alleged Reeves has distributed white supremacist propaganda in Colorado several times.

The Anti-Defamation League classifies Identity Evropa as a white supremacist group that focuses on preserving “white American identity” and claims America was not intended to be a multiracial or multicultural society.

Air Force regulations prohibit membership in supremacist groups, and airmen who participate in such groups are subject to adverse actions.

In response to an inquiry by Air Force Times as to whether Reeves was still serving as a master sergeant, Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek on Nov. 10 said Reeves is currently a tech sergeant in the Air Force. His duty title is now technician, and he became a tech sergeant on Sept. 11.

Stefanek previously said in an August email that the Air Force had completed its investigation into Reeves’ alleged white nationalist ties, and “the commander is taking the action deemed appropriate.”

But Stefanek said then no further details on what disciplinary actions may have been taken against Reeves as a result of the investigation could be released due to the Privacy Act. Releasing an airmen’s current rank is a releasable fact not covered by the act.

“Racism, bigotry, hatred and discrimination have no place in the Air Force,” Stefanek said in August. “We are committed to maintaining a culture where all airmen feel welcome and can thrive.”

The day after this story was originally posted, Stefanek sent another statement in a follow-up email:

“Our core values demand that airmen treat others with genuine dignity, fairness, and respect at all times whether their actions are in person or on social media,” Stefanek said in the Nov. 13 email. “When airmen fall short of this expectation, they are held accountable. Each case is evaluated based on the facts presented.”

Reeves declined, through Schriever officials, to comment for this story.

A defunct neo-Nazi online forum linked to the white nationalist extremist Atomwaffen Division had its chat logs posted online Wednesday.

As of April, Reeves was an operations superintendent, in the 1C6 space systems operations career field, in the 2nd Space Operations Squadron at Schriever, according to information released by the Air Force Personnel Center. He entered active duty in November 2003, AFPC said.

Concerns about the influence and reach of white supremacist and neo-Nazi organizations in the military have been growing in recent years. A Military Times poll in fall 2018 found about 22 percent of service members said they saw signs of white nationalism or racist ideology in the ranks, about the same as the previous year’s poll. But an increasing percentage of non-white service members reported signs of white nationalism or racism — up from 42 percent in 2017 to more than half the following year.

Activists earlier this month released online a database for the neo-Nazi forum Iron March, which included chat logs of discussions involving purported service members and others who expressed a desire to join the military. Iron March is the organizational birthplace of the Atomwaffen Division, a violent neo-Nazi organization in America viewed by some as a domestic terrorist group.

The anti-fascist group in Colorado, in their original post on Reeves, said he was a “patron” member of Identity Evropa, who contributed more monthly dues than regular members pay. It also posted photographs, allegedly of Reeves wearing clothes with Identity Evropa’s logo and taking part in one of the group’s protests. The 50th Space Wing earlier this year would not confirm whether Reeves is in the photos, but confirmed images of Reeves appear to match the photos posted by the anti-fascist group.

When asked about Reeves’ alleged activities in April, the Air Force pointed to Air Force Instruction 51-508, which prohibits Air Force personnel from “actively advocating supremacist, extremist or criminal gang doctrine, ideology or causes, including those that advance, encourage or advocate illegal discrimination based on race, creed, color, sex, religion, ethnicity or national origin or those that advance, encourage or advocate the use of force, violence or criminal activity or otherwise advance efforts to deprive individuals of their civil rights.”

By, “does nothing,” I would take that to mean a need for gun control/confiscation.
We’re having an epidemic of porch piracy in our area.
Applying your logic that guns be banned to protect the children, should I thus try to persuade Fed Ex and other package handling companies to end deliveries because deliveries are causing the thefts?
As it stands, schools are an open invitation, because these nuts know they will face little resistance. Train and arm designated personnel on a wide scale and publicize same and the threat goes down significantly.
Remove guns and we all become prey to the lawless WITH guns. Remove guns and the old, the weak, the children become much more vulnerable to criminals, WHETHER or not the criminal is armed.

Unfortunately, everything they do is designed to exacerbate the problem rather than correct it.

‘Defense deserts’ created by nonsensical laws forbidding any means of protection place children in a barrel with a ‘no shooting’ sign on the front.

Disarming potential victims certainly isn’t the answer. Arming the left-leaning, gun-hating staff probably won’t work either, although many consider it the best option. Dedicated, armed security resources present in-site would at least be a stop gap.

They started using the term PTSD after the soldiers started coming home from Vietnam. One of the theories behind why there were so many cases with them not being able to cope/function in society, was they were flown home, so they went from being shot at & shooting in the jungles on Monday, and back home to NYC or Omaha on Thurs.

Compared to WW2 where the soldiers weren’t sent home immediately after the war ended in Europe & the Pacific. They had time for R&R, to decompress, and then were returned home by ship, allowing them more time to prepare mentally.

I agree with you about people using the term very loosely these days, I see mother’s of kids who fell asleep on the school bus and missed there stop, only to wake up at the bus yard, claiming that their child now has PTSD, or other minor aggravations have now become a psychological disorder, it’s usually a way to either get out of work or get some kind of benefits. Either way it takes away from people who legitimately have it. I feel the same way about people with their “emotional support dogs” but that’s another subject for another day.

And if you wish to understand what it was like dealing with the ‘noble Indian’ at the time, I suggest “Scalp Dance” by Thomas Goodrich.

I always said that facial tattoos are more or less ‘bulls eyes’.

Anyone willing to set themselves up that far from polite society should be treated accordingly.

People cultivate weakness because it’s at weakness that money (resources, sympathy) is thrown. Our clown world robs the able to shower the disabled, and economic axiom dictates that people will move from the former to the latter. Disability, obviously, is relative (and often voluntary in these times.)

Pity those who lame themselves. Sooner or later, Plenitude will end and weakness will go back to its usual place in Nature’s selection.

Which didn’t improve their jungle morals.  Look up the difference between “inside children” and “outside children” (immortalized in “Papa was a rolling stone”).

You can’t take the jungle out of the African.

    You are correct.

PTSD is the modern-day term for “shell-shock”, which was the pre-Gulf war definition of PTSD. Even during the Vietnam war, “PTSD” was not recognized as a valid medical condition.

In the past, military personnel were told to “buck up” and overcome PTSD on their own. PTSD is a valid medical condition.

During the Vietnam war, after a 12 or 13 month deployment, one was almost guaranteed not to be sent back for two or three years at the minimum. I agree that rapid deployments from a war zone without time for decompression are a problem as well.

Contrast that with Gulf war and subsequent conflicts where back-to-back deployments are common.

I agree that “service animals” and “emotional support animals” are overused and misused and are a crutch that does the person with emotional problems no favors, only enabling behavior that can be treated by other means.

    What’s wrong with this picture?

Even “school resource officers” are not enough. Despite having legal protections from lawsuits, they still do not (want to) perform their sworn duty. Most “school resource officers” are “placeholders” waiting for their retirement.

If I had my way, I would hire armed veterans as custodial and maintenance personnel. They would have the run of the school, know where the hiding places are, and (unlike school resource officers) would not hesitate to run TOWARD the sound of gunfire and “neutralize the threat”.

A small minority of neurotic people may misuse emotional support animals. These are the people who can’t fly without Snookums. I don’t judge them, and I don’t mind, as long as the animals are well behaved.

But I’m a huge believer in the benefits of pets, particularly dogs. Nobody would deny the utility of guide dogs for the blind. Dogs also serve in an increasing number of roles, from military, police, customs, now also medical. There are groups that visit old people in nursing homes, that bring dogs for the people to pet. These dogs have definite benefits for those people.

Since I was a little boy, a long time ago now, dogs have been my closest companions. Now that I’m old, I’m back to square one. No longer just a boy and his dog, but instead just an old fart and his dog. I don’t take him where he’s not welcome, and he doesn’t bother anybody.

A crutch? Crutches are useful things when you’re lame. Don’t knock people who rely on them.

You make a very good point about animals being useful and needed in certain situations.

No one would dispute that “leader dogs for the blind” and other animals used by those with paralysis can be useful in maintaining one’s “quality of life. However, I must “stand my ground” when it comes to “emotional support animals”.

A good example is those who are injured and could improve their physical health with the use of physical therapy, but still refuse to perform the recommended exercises, and end up never improving.

“Emotional support animals” ARE “crutches” that should be (eventually) discarded as mental health improves.

Were you aware that snakes, gerbils, cats, and other non-canine species are claimed to be valid “emotional support animals”?

Yes, I recently saw a report (with picture) of one person who brought a miniature horse onto a plane. No question, there are a lot of neurotic people out there.

You may count me among them. I can’t countenance life without a dog. Maybe the test should simply be, who actually calls them “emotional support animals”? A sort of a shibboleth* for the woke.

    * A word, phrase or custom identifying one as a member of a group.

  64. AnalogMan——–There needs to be once a week “barn yard” flights for nuts who need “emotional” support.Make them pay the full cost of the flights.Better yet just ground these fools.
