Until you realize the Left is coming after every aspect of American history, you’ll never comprehend they plan on ensuring nothing celebrating our past remains.[Minnesota Star Tribune Editorial Paints Mt. Rushmore as Monument to White Supremacy, Legal Insurrection, August 21, 2019]:

The Minnesota Star Tribune, just posted an opinion piece that portrays Mt. Rushmore as a monument to white supremacy.

The editorial, penned by Ron Way (a former official of the U.S. Interior Department and its National Park Service) even features the KKK!:

But the back story of Mount Rushmore is hardly a rich history of a shared democratic ideal. Some see the monument in the Black Hills as one of the spoils of violent conquest over indigenous tribes by a U.S. Army clearing the way for white settlers driven westward by a lust for land and gold.

As it was in colonial America, the young country’s expansion was fueled by “Manifest Destiny” — a self-supreme notion that any land coveted by Euro-Americans was, by providence, rightfully theirs for the taking.

…The sculptures were chiseled by an imported Ku Klux Klansman on a granite mountain owned by indigenous tribes on what they considered sacred land — land that the U.S. Supreme Court said in 1980 was illegally taken from them.

The way continues in this vein, creating the most delusional piece of historical analysis I have ever seen published. Considering I have read books tying ancient Egypt to extraterrestrials, this is a remarkable achievement:

Abraham Lincoln famously emancipated slaves, but he supported eradicating Indian tribes from western lands and approved America’s largest-ever mass execution, the hanging of 38 Dakota in Mankato for their alleged crimes in the 1862 war along the Minnesota River.

Even the orientation of the monument is racist!:

The faces of the four presidents (white conquerors) peer southeast toward a reservation housing vanquished Lakota, who mostly live out forgotten, impoverished lives in the shadow of their sacred Paha Sapa that, legally, still belong to them.

Monuments across the southern states to the Confederacy was just the start. How long until the call comes to implode Mount Rushmore for daring to celebrate dead white males?

Probably much closer than you think.

  2. Thanks for posting this. This article caused me to look up the “alleged crimes” the Lakota committed that caused the US to hang them.

It turns out that these “alleged crimes” included massacring more than 800 white men, women, and children in their beds, per president Lincoln’s Second Annual Address.

And you have weak, self hating white people who blamed the wicked white man for hanging the Indians who massacred them!

How long can such a self flagellating people survive?

  3. Huh. I did leave a comment. It completely vanished.

    Odd, that.

  4. Rich says:

Americans should be taught about the massacres of innocent civilians carried out by the Sioux, like the 32 hanged at Mankato, for the brutal murders, rapes and torturing they carried out against women and children in 1862. It’s important for the youth of America to learn why the US had to act severely against the red savages who’d murder, rape and dismember the women and girls they captured.

This should awaken us to the power of monuments. It would be wise for a person to buy some land, and put monuments on it to ones ancestors, grandparents, etc, and also monuments commemorating people or events from history you like. And then passing down that property within the lineage of your personal or extended family so that these monuments can be preserved. Another thing is keeping a book of family stories that gets passed from generation to generation. Some families in China have books that go back 10 generations or so.

  8. Well, we deserve all of the hate, its true!

Did you know that only white people have conquered other peoples, taken over their lands and built monuments glorifying themselves. It’s true, its true! Only whites have enslaved persons other than themselves, treated them poorly, not given them cookies and milk… Ooops! I’m racist for thinking that milk should be given to other people since it is white. That’s probably why it’s not good for people, right?

    Okay, it’s not true.

  9. Have any cultures which do not have Neanderthal or Denisovan DNA managed to accomplish the feat of carving art into a freaking mountain?

  10. When did it become the “Minnesota” Star Tribune? It’s been

However, the most prominent lake in the City of Lakes now goes by the unpronounceable Bde Maka Ska, so anything is possible.

  11. I went to Mt Rushmore in November 2017. It was amazing, the weather was crisp, there were no crowds, blue skies, and the monument is impressive. They took the time to carve pupils into the eyes, and the carvings themselves are astonishing to see up close & in person. The sheer scale of the under taking to complete the project, in the middle of nowhere, back before modern tools and safety measures is a testament to the white man’s level of skill, planning, determination, execution, and ability to achieve a common goal.

It’s a monument to men who’s vision built our country and created a lifestyle so great and free of strife, hardship, and struggle that current people’s days are ruined by seeing a statue, hearing conflicting opinions, being called a mean name, or some other round about watered down slight. I remember Chuck Zito was on Howard Stern not long after the incident where Don Imus called a college women’s basketball team “Nappy headed hoes”.

Imus was suspended, and a few of the players claimed that was the worst & most offensive thing anyone had ever called them in their lives. Chuck Zito had the best response about it, where he said “If being called a nappy headed hoe is the worst thing you’ve ever been called, you’ve lived a charmed life”

Keep in mind same people who are calling for the removal of Mt Rushmore, are the same ones who think this is a way to die a hero….no snitchin’!

    How silly, the Klan bit!

Actually, turns out to be true. Borglum was a prominent Klansman.

Don’t know what they mean by “imported.” Guy was born in Idaho.

That land illegally taken from the Sioux. How did the Sioux get the land? They acquired it by conquest from the Cheyenne, who got it by conquest from the Kiowa, etc., etc.

So this land title the Sioux acquired by conquest suddenly shifted to one maintained by law, forever invincible against conqest by a later group.

I have no problem with a group claiming “right of conquest” for their title. They should just be willing to recognize that title acquired this way is vulnerable to being lost the same way, at which point they have no logical right to complain.

  20. Here’s a true story from Canada. Around the same time that the Lakota were massacring and torturing white people in Minnesota the Chicoltin began attacking white people in what is now BC. They began by raiding the ferry point, murdering the ferryman and stealing all the supplies. They then proceeded to launch a sneak attack on some surveyors, pulling the tents down on the heads of the sleeping men and beating them all to death while they were helplessly trapped. They then murdered a farmer who had fed them over the winter and set fire to his house. In all they murdered 22 people over the span of a couple of days.

The Indians were caught or surrendered, and 5 were put on trial and hanged.

Fast forward to 2016. The descendants of these murdering savages where whining so loudly, and since Canada has a fairie for a prime minister he actually apologized, and declared that Canada was sorry!

If PM Dildeau were in the US, no question Mt Rushmore would have already been sandblasted.

Those who today demoralize the descendants of those who built what we now take for granted in America are making the same mistake as those who salted Germany’s World War One defeat with that treaty.

When this largest-ever, longest-ever credit bubble bursts and creates the largest, deepest depression in the history of economics, the result will be the same.

    Great comment.

I’ve purchased two or three books by American Indian authority, Gregory Michno. One is entitled, A Fate Worse Than Death: Indian Captivities in the West, 1830–1885. Talk about hair-raising!

After reading how many Indian tribes regularly practiced slavery, rape, torture, mutilation, skinning alive, and all other kinds of barbarity – hey, I’m glad that White peoples moved in and brought order and civility to the land.

Oh, and that bit about living out “forgotten, impoverished lives” – well, I’m all broken up. No one is making them stay on their reservations. If they want to sit around and toss tomahawks all day, that’s their choice.

Wow. Your comment is redolent of a discussion the late, great, Lawrence Auster wrote of more than seven years ago:

The ineluctable racial incompatibilities that are bringing us to destruction, unless we radically reverse course
    2012, April 28 | Lawrence Auster

One thing I have been keenly aware of for years now regarding both blacks and Hispanics is their utter lack of interest in anything of historical importance that does not directly affect them as a racial group. The Daily Mail has a pictorial of the space shuttle flyby that took place in Manhattan today, and almost every civilian witness to the event who made the pictorial is white. It reminded me of the time I went to Gettysburg several years ago. Not one black person did I see. A sprinkling of Asians and Indians but it was dominated by whites. The same thing in Yellowstone Park, and at Mount Rushmore. The large museums in New York City are devoid of blacks and Hispanics unless they are on some sort of mandatory school trip.
    — Karl D.

    Auster replies:
… As for the absence of nonwhites at any historical location or event, this is a deeply significant phenomenon the meaning of which no mainstream conservative wants to consider. Nonwhites do not relate to American history, not because they are discriminated against, but because they feel themselves to be different from Americans. They know they don’t fit. They do not experience themselves as part of this country. Yes, they have lives, families, and careers in this country. But they do not identify with this country, its history, and its historical people and culture. And this is why, the more numerous, successful, and conspicuous nonwhites are in America, the more they will feel their non-belongingness in America, and so the more, not less, resentful they will become toward America and whites. They will be forever divided within themselves, and resentful of an Americanness in which they can never truly partake—indeed, in which they have no desire to partake. The only way they will be able to work out these feelings will be by tearing down whatever remains of America, to turn America into a different country where they can feel fully at home.

And this is why the mass nonwhite immigration we have had since 1965 is, ineluctably, the path to national suicide.

  45. OT – bear with me… There is a white-supremacy connection…

In August 2017 Lance Ammons is mentioned as attending a DC anti-white-supremacy rally.

On Monday night demonstrator and DC resident Lance Ammons said the protest had a dual purpose.

“They’ve got signs saying they don’t support Trump. They’ve got signs saying they don’t support the alt-right. So it’s the whole thing,” he said.

Fast forward to Thursday when Lance Ammons is charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of a 62-year-old bridge contractor working in DC after – according to Lance – the devil told him to.

Now, had a Trump supporter stabbed someone to death – because the devil told him to – well, we all know the answer.

‘Police: Man who killed bridge inspector says the ‘devil told him to stab’ him’

  48. The leftist cleansing and erasure of any meaningful and positive accomplishments of the White male continues in the form of proposed deletions in the Nebraska curriculum of American history and sociology, spearheaded by that old fiend, I mean friend, “Implicit bias.”

Such terms as “businessman,” and “mankind” may now be placed upon the chopping block of sexism.

As well, the term “forefathers,” said to deny the contributions of women at the time of the country’s creation, may also disappear.

Odd. I’d never heard of the apparent cadre of foremothers willing to sacrifice their lives and fortunes for their country, nor do I recall their version of a constitution or bill of rights which became the foundation for the greatest country the world has ever seen.

I don’t wish to demean women, but as with blacks, the left will use them if they can to further diminish White males and White history.

The drip drip drip is becoming a stream washing away true American history and replacing it with inclusiveness to further push White males out of the scene.

I hope SBPDL reports on the MN state fair fights/shootings. The local news is totally down playing it when in reality it was a black mob beating and shooting people. A pregnant woman was hit by a car when she ran into heavy traffic after cops broke up a fight she was participating in along with her buddies. They were stomping on another woman’s head on the side of the road. This woman was also seen inside the as part of a black mob fair attacking another person.
The newspaper ran an article about her and portrayed her as an innocent victim. Oh! Can’t forget about the mob who started kicking and pounding on the car who accidentally hit the pregnant “victim”. He called 911 saying he was terrified and had a gun and would not hesitate to use it if needed. The 911 operator told him to take off and meet the cops elsewhere. Apparently there’s several videos of this black violence on Facebook but of course the news isn’t talking about it. MN is a hotbed of ghetto trash who come here for our generous welfare.
