Previously on SBPDL: In 2018 Birmingham, Alabama (a 75% Black City), Not One of the 99 Criminal Homicides Involved a White Male Suspect

It’s called the “Tragic City” for a reason. While many bemoan how the war on drugs is racist (because blacks are disproportionately arrested for dealing drugs and for possession), we’ll just remember Zachariah Taylor Music. He was a white male living in Birmingham, who was murdered by a black male during what police are dubbing a “high-risk activity.”[1 charged in fatal shooting of UAB student atop Riverchase Galleria parking deck, Birmingham News, June 30, 2019]:

An arrest has been made in the deadly shooting of a 20-year-old UAB student on the top floor of the Riverchase Galleria parking deck.

Michael Jabari Akamune, 20, is charged with murder in the Wednesday killing of 20-year-old Zachariah Taylor Music, the son of a former Birmingham police officer and stepson of a current Birmingham fire lieutenant. Alabama court records do not list prior criminal arrests for either Akamune or Music, however Jefferson County Jail records show Akamune was jailed last year on drug charges.

Hoover police and firefighters responded about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to the fifth floor of the North Parking Deck. When they arrived, they found Music inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:39 p.m.

“This was not a random shooting and we were aware of that within the first 10 minutes of arriving on the scene,’’ said Hoover police Capt. Gregg Rector. “We have several individuals who were engaged in high-risk activities and sometimes those activities turn tragic.”

A group of people were together atop the mall parking deck when Music was shot. Authorities have not said specifically what Akamune’s role in the shooting was and Rector said at least one more arrest is expected.

“Some of those individuals are being cooperative and some are not,’’ Rector said. “It’s outrageous, but not surprising, that some people who have knowledge of someone being murdered are less than cooperative with investigators.”

Detectives obtained the warrant against Akamune on Saturday. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail just before 2 p.m. and will be held on $60,000 bond.

Music’s funeral is being held today at Deerfoot Memorial. Friends have set up a GoFundMe for the family, which reads “Jill and Scott Frew are amazing, caring people who have dedicated their lives to helping others through the field of First Responders/Emergency Medicine. Their son Zach lost his life on 6/26/19 in a senseless act of violence at age 20. No parent should ever have to make the decisions and plans that they are having to make at this time for a child. Please consider making a donation to support them with upcoming expenses during this time and of course your prayers and thoughts are incredibly appreciated.”

Don’t do drugs. There’s no hope with dope.

More to the point: never put yourself in a situation where you can be murdered by black drug dealers in the middle of the day.

  6. So it sounds very much like this young fellow got himself shot during a drug deal with this nike on the top level of a parking deck.

While I’m not sure what troubles me more; the rampant and accepted use of drugs or the fact that there seems to be an open season currently on white by blacks in general.

I get it… recreational drug use is a booming industry in this country and worldwide and we’re not gonna stop it now or ever.

I get it… blacks are a violent and unpredictable breed.

I also get that blacks are heavily involved in the drug trade (reason enough to keep away) since it’s easy, violent work with a huge profit margin so they don’t have to calculate expenses.

I don’t get the draw if young, immature white boys and girls seeking out these savages in order to do business. I’m sure there’s someone in your little white town you can buy from without driving to the bowels of the inner city and risking life and limb to do it.

Steer clear of blacks especially in cases of drug buys and sales. Or any sort of sales. Or any kind of anything.

There is always a white person selling if you look hard enough and their stuff with be better quality and they have enough sense to not kill their customers for no good reason (don’t try to rip them off though).

  24. I wonder if his parent’s gave him “the talk?”

Here is my question: Why were they in Birmingham in the first place?

10 million dollars says his parents are White knight egalitarians that will risk their own children for some smug sense of duty to a community that doesn’t even exist. Well what about duty to your children? There are open law enforcement positions all over this country.

There is no reason to police a Black area. Even if they pay you 6 figures you are still putting your family at risk. I was offered 6 figures to work in Chicago and that was without an interview. They didn’t even care that the resume they had didn’t have updated references. If you work in law enforcement or a technical field it isn’t hard to get 6 figures in a Black city. Factor in private school and a gated community and that 6 figures goes fast.

I don’t care at all what this kid was doing up on the roof and I don’t like how people here are disrespecting him. 20 is young enough to be indoctrinated and it is very hard for young people to see the truth when their parents have been lying to them their entire lives (along with tv and schools).

He was probably buying pot and then needlessly shot over an argument or they tried to rob him. Since he was shot in the car I would bet robbery.

If you watch First 48 you have seen this many times. They will rob a drug dealer or user and shoot him for no reason. Libertarians think we should legalize drugs to solve this problem but they aren’t paying attention. These aren’t gang territory disputes. Blacks will shoot the victim of a robbery even if he is complying. They won’t even be able to explain why they did it. I’ve seen numerous episodes where a robbery gang gets caught because one of them needlessly shoots the victim.

The difference is incredible. The nog already looks like he’s been through the system a few time and the white boy looks like he hadn’t been laid yet.

Parents are sending their kids out without having ‘the talk’ about negros. It’s no wonder they run right up to them and try to pet them.

    20 year old white boy:
“Look mommy, that cape buffalo has horns just like a cow. I like cows so I’m gonna pet him!”

“I’m so proud of you my baby! Don’t discriminate. Spread your love across all mankind.”

Probably not — at least not them specifically:

The incident follows a large number of violent incidents at the mall, including fights and shootings over the last four years. The mall also banned unaccompanied teens from entering the mall at after 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The incident involving this group supposedly occurred on June 22, a Saturday — the story does not say what time.

The murder happened when he was 14 years young and even though he is 18 they are holding him in a juvenile facility? I remember this murder!

Suspect, now 18, charged in 2015 slaying of North Minneapolis artist, activist Zekriah Chaudhry

    PUBLISHED: June 25, 2019 at 5:10 pm | UPDATED: June 25, 2019 at 9:47 pm

Minneapolis police have made an arrest in the brutal 2015 slaying of North Minneapolis artist and community activist Susan Spiller.

The department announced Tuesday that an 18-year-old man was arrested and charged Monday in the case. The suspect would have been 14 years old at the time of Spiller’s homicide, limiting what officials could say about him. He is currently being held at the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center.

Minneapolis glass artist Susan Spiller works on her craft in a photo from the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association. Spiller, 68, was slain in her North Minneapolis home on July 16, 2015, according to friends and neighbors.

The break in the case came recently when fingerprints from an unrelated case matched prints taken from the scene of Spiller’s death, police officials said at a news conference. Second-degree murder charges were filed against the suspect in juvenile court.

Spiller’s death shook her neighborhood, Police Chief Madaria Arradondo said Tuesday, but “a team of dedicated homicide investigators never lost their focus.”

The suspect made his first court appearance Tuesday. A motion was filed to have him tried as an adult.

A 14-year-old can stand trial as an adult for a significant crime, like a murder, if a judge finds “clear and convincing evidence that public safety is not served by keeping the suspect in juvenile court,” said Tom Arneson of the Hennepin County attorney’s office.

Police discovered Spiller’s body on July 16, 2015, at her home in the 5100 block of Dupont Avenue North. It was determined that she died during a home break-in.

The Hennepin County medical examiner later said the 68-year-old Spiller died of “complex homicidal violence.”

An accomplished glass and jewelry artist, Spiller was a member of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association and the Northside Arts Collective and was vice chair of the Lind-Bohanon Neighborhood Association

Dealing and buying in the Jane-Finch corridor or any other negro infested shithole lowers your lifespan expectantcy substantially. Negroes only think in the moment. Consequence for action is a foreign concept that seldom enters into their train of thought. I remember the good days in Toronto. That would be something like “equal rights or equal merit in the eyes of God”, not equal traits like height or ability.

He was probably thinking of/referring more to the English King and the hereditary class system then dominant in England — but “equal rights or equal merit in the eyes of God”, or ‘created with equal standing before God and the laws of men’ is probably the better modern interpretation.
