To attend the Indianapolis Colts game where the number of the legendary Peyton Manning was to be retired, Vice President Mike Pence, a former governor of Indiana, flew back from Las Vegas.

With him in the stadium was wife Karen. In honor of Manning, she wore a No. 18 jersey as “The Star Spangled Banner” began.

The Pences stood, hands over hearts. A dozen San Francisco 49ers took a knee. When the national anthem ended, Pence walked out. His limousine took him back to the airport to fly to LA.

“A stunt! That plane trip cost taxpayers $250,000,” wailed a media that was rarely critical of Michelle Obama’s million-dollar junkets with Sasha and Malia.

The president took credit for Pence’s walkout, tweeting, “I asked @VP Pence to leave stadium if any players kneeled.”

Pence’s statement: “I left today’s Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.”

As Pence had left his press pool in the motorcade, and said he might not be too long, the walkout may not have been entirely spontaneous. But the game had been on Pence’s calendar for weeks.

What does this episode tell us?

In the culture wars, Trump has rejected compromise or capitulation and decided to defend the ground on which his most loyal folks stand.

Example: While The Washington Post was reporting Monday that Austin, Seattle, San Francisco and Denver had now joined Los Angeles in replacing Columbus Day with Indigenous People’s Day, Trump issued a Columbus Day proclamation of bristling defiance.

“Five hundred and twenty-five years ago, Christopher Columbus completed an ambitious and daring voyage across the Atlantic Ocean to the Americas. … a remarkable and then-unparalleled feat that helped launch the age of exploration and discovery. The permanent arrival of Europeans to the Americas was a transformative event that … changed the course of human history and set the stage for the development of our great Nation.”

Columbus, said Trump, was a “skilled navigator and man of faith, whose courageous feat brought together continents and has inspired countless others to pursue their dreams and convictions — even in the face of extreme doubt and tremendous adversity.”

The Admiral of the Ocean Sea “was a native of the City of Genoa, in present day Italy, and represents the rich history of important Italian American contributions to our great Nation. … Italy is a strong ally and a valued partner,” said Trump.

His proclamation failed to mention indigenous peoples.

How did CNN receive it? Not at all well.

“Trump’s Praise of Columbus Omits Dark History,” ran the CNN headline. Lede sentence: “Never mind the disease and slavery wrought by Christopher Columbus’ voyage — or the fact that he didn’t actually ‘discover’ the New World.”

Trump’s proclamation closed a week in which he rolled back the Obamacare mandate requiring employers and institutions, against their religious beliefs, to provide contraceptives and abortion-inducing pills to employees.

Religious groups cheered. The ACLU fumed. The in-your-face defiance of the dictates of political correctness has solidified Trump’s base behind him.

And Americans are coming to accept our new reality: On the essentials of nationhood — ancestry, morality, faith, culture, history, heroes — we really are no longer one nation and one people.

All weekend, viewers of cable TV were treated to self-righteous wailing from the acolytes of Colin Kaepernick, patron saint of the 49ers, that “taking the knee” to protest racism and racist cops is a most admirable exercise of the First Amendment right to protest.

What Trump’s folks are saying in response is this:

“You may have a First Amendment right to disrespect our flag, or even to burn it, but you have no right to make us listen to you, or respect you, or buy tickets to your games, or watch you on Sunday.”

And with shrinking audiences watching NFL games, declining attendance, and advertisers beginning to bail, the NFL appears belatedly to be getting the message.

Jerry Jones, owner of one of the most valuable franchises in the league, has told players that anyone who does not show respect for the flag during the national anthem does not play that day for the Dallas Cowboys.

ORDER IT NOW

“President Trump has a duty to unite us, not divide us” is the mantra of our elites. Yet, since the ’60s, it is these elites who have been imposing the social, moral and cultural revolution the American people never voted for and which has by now divided us irretrievably.

Call them “deplorables” if you will, but Trump does seem to relish going out to defend the views, values and beliefs of the people who put him where he is. He does not recoil from political conflict.

People who stand by you in a fight are not all that common in politics. When Trump exhibits this quality, he receives in reciprocity the kind of loyalty even his enemies concede he has.

Patrick J. Buchanan is the author of a new book, “Nixon’s White House Wars: The Battles That Made and Broke a President and Divided America Forever.”

  1. As for the Christopher Columbus holiday, no matter what one’s city government proclaims under cover of idiocy, one can still celebrate and commemorate to one’s heart’s content. Put a wooden sailing vessel (or poster thereof) in the yard or greet people with “Happy Columbus Day”. That can still be done under our not-yet-shredded Amendment I.

Mainly, however, it’s important to teach the kiddies about how “in 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed the Ocean Blue”. Don’t worry if the teacher will correct them. You should have already taught them that even many of their teachers will tell lies, so they can’t believe everything they are told.

As for the 2nd part of Mr. Buchanan’s article, relating to the National Football League, it shouldn’t take something like this kneeling issue to wake your ass up to the fact that you are being distracted by bread and circuses from the evil being perpetrated on you by our globalist elites. However, I guess it is working out for the good.

Kudos to Trump, for, if at least not really doing much of what he promised, still talking the talk.

Did you ever wonder why every school child from kindergarten on can recite who discovered America and the exact date, while not one in 100,000 know the name of the 1st person to walk on the moon, much less the date it happened? Why do you think this is the case?

Maybe also cheer up the "Dreamers" by translating the sign into Spanish...

    "¡Feliz Día de la Raza!"

That might start a little party going...

Sure, but Trump seems willing to throw it all away by granting permanent legal status to so called DREAMers. And doing so ensures the demographic changes required to eventually make “indigenous peeps day” the law of the land.

  5. And Americans are coming to accept our new reality…

Well how about accepting the old realities first, Mr Buchanan?

As a Christian you are no doubt familiar with 1Samuel8, no? How about Isaiah and Nahum?

Humpty Trump is just another punk, not quite as bad as The Hexen, but both are signs of a nearly terminal society. the only ones who care are those who put their faith in the state. I say bon voyage and you won’t catch me sobbing in my suds over it.

Look around; even Trump, when campaigning, admitted that the “greatness” was a thing of the past and that the rest of the world marches on.

My blood boils when I look around and see the satanic level of evil AmeriKKKa, heck the christian white race (who can forget Little Britain and Hypocrite France breaking Libya for no good reason), has perpetuated around the world, all in delusions of racial supremacy.

The nation (the race) thinks that its great accomplishments give it the right to commit that level of evil?

Guess what... only in your deluded fucking minds!!

The kind of animal-like leaders the denizens of Evil Empire "elect," appears to be good reflection of the rot, of what you term as "terminal society."

Your exultation at your "greatness" has a price, and you are living it. May your exultation only increase, so that you can live the consequences even more.

Please read Mr Buchanan’s nearly excellent book, Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War. If you’re honest, you’ll have to admit that America lost a yoooge chunk of greatness when it got suckered and railroaded into supporting the bloody Joey and the thrill seeking Winnie on behalf of the bankers by the “elite” degenerate pinko goon, FDR, ~75 years ago.

Sadly, Mr Buchanan is slightly behind the curve with this article.

  9. The argument that the trip to Indianapolis for a game that he never watched was a waste of $250, ooo is a silly one. Anything, anything at all that involves the presence of the President and the VP involves a lot of money, lots of security, etc. How much did it cost for VP Pence to get to Las Vegas, did he see any shows or gamble, and did he consider getting himself and his entourage comped by one of the big hotels to save the taxpayer money? How much did it cost for Trump to go to Puerto Rico? Could he not have had the First Lady pack sandwiches and a thermos for him to save taxpayer money? How many trees were destroyed to make the paper towels he tossed to Puerto Ricans who were out of toilet paper? How much water was used to make the paper?

On the other hand, it does seem that poor old Pence cannot get any respect. No sooner was he in office than the cast of Hamilton on Broadway were dissing him, and now this. Had he not heard about the One Knee movement? What a fastidious fellow he is to miss the game, just because of this. I bet his kids are mad at him. What a waste of his valuable time this was, when he could have been negotiating with North Korea or Iran, or tweaking the draft of his inaugural speech, ready for the supreme moment in the life of a hereditary VP.

  12. Trump is so limited by what he can actually accomplish with the entrenched neoliberal establishment frustrating him at every turn either through the courts or the media or his so-called “allies” in the GOP, that he’s redirected himself towards these issues that might seem inconsequential but are, in reality, cultural game-changers which could possibly lay the groundwork for a resurgence of a new political majority.

Imagine if Trump gets to 65% support among white people with the current demographics? He’d be undefeatable! Of course, this needs to be paired with other changes (immigration, etc.) which can shift the nation’s demographics back towards what it has historically been (a 90% white nation) versus the third world hellhole it’s currently projected to become.

Could not the converse be said as well?

Let's say the demographic trends of the past sixty years were to be completely reversed but the Cultural Marxist assault on decency were to continue unabated.

If all of the ascendant authorities and influences from the State on down still teach your child not only that it would be just peachy-keen should he decide to marry another man instead of a woman when he grows-up but also that he might really be a girl if he thinks he is...If said authorities can even compel you to allow your child to be pumped with puberty-blocking hormones and mutilated...

If (even) your daughter can be shamed into submitting to the indignities and dangers* of being buggered, by a porn-fueled boyfriend cynically using the "homophobia" card on her ("But Susie, what about all the 'gays'? Are you saying that the way they have sex is disgusting? You're not a homophobic Nazi now, Susie, are you!?")...
    (*GRAPHIC CONTENT at Linked Site!)

If such abject degenerates and those who enable and promote them are ascendant, is it really any help if said termites and devils are white and American?

I would go so far as to question whether even a Jihadi Caliphate might not, ultimately, be a lesser evil than the dissolute, nihilistic Buggery State that we, to a considerable degree, have already become.

  15. Rurik says:

“Trump’s Praise of Columbus Omits Dark History,” ran the CNN headline.

rewriting history to comport to the butt-hurts of the world, is no more realistic than rewriting humankind’s ascent from the slime with a wrenching guilt for the genocide of the Neanderthals- or the myriad other humanoids that were uncompetitive.

it’s all an exercise in competitive evolutionary strategy. If the people of the West were superior enough to dominate the competing tribes of yesteryear- all trying to subjugate or slaughter their neighbors- then what those beleaguered tribes have learned is that the modern West, with its suffrage and paeans to altruism and ‘man as a sinner’ who is flawed and fallen…

is that the Western man is compromised by his endemic, congenital kindness, and that kindness and ‘guilt’ and sympathy for his ‘fellow man’ and love of ‘equality’, is his Achilles heel. To be mercilessly exploited until you have him Zimbabwe’d.

That is what this is all about.

Trump simply represents an unapologetic view of history that doesn’t lament- with a desire to reverse- the loss of the Neanderthal

if the football players were on one knee to protest the serial and illegal and immoral wars the ZUS has been waging all over the place, I’d be sympathetic to their cause

but what they’re protesting is the intractable “racism” (congenital racial differences) that white people can’t do anything about, unless it’s to exit stage left, and hand over their lands to the butt-hurts.

which is what they’re protesting for and demanding

    duh

occasionally I'll listen to NPR for morbid fun

and what you describe drips from their every word

they'll be talking about some illegal from Honduras, and how the street gangs are so violent, and how the poor teenager was recruited into this terrible culture of violence and theft and murder...

and why it's so incumbent upon us as a moral nation to allow him to stay

    blah, blah, blah

but with every word they speak, the intonation is a direct accusation at an evil, white, racist [redundant] society in the US (and West in general) whose neglect and endemic racism have directly caused all the suffering and injustice, to the point that we're driving these poor young victims of gang violence to join these gangs and terrorize their local communities.

the mewling, sobbing in their voices is always an accusation of white society

we're directly responsible for the girls raped by Boko Haram

we're directly responsible for the suffering in Puerto Rico

we may as well have swung the machetes in Darfur, for all our direct complicity

we're responsible for the war on Syria, (not because of the Zio-CIA) but because our SUVs have caused Climate Change, and that's why there's a civil war in Syria. I shit you not! They've actually said that!!

there isn't one tragedy or murder or death anywhere on the planet that white, Southern, heterosexual Christian type men aren't directly responsible for. It drips off their every smug platitude and with a vipers venom, aims as a collective character assassination of our phenotype.

the hatred is brisling, and I've come to sort of bask in it. I listen to NPR and sometimes I can't stop laughing. People see me in my car laughing and wonder what's up.

I’ve always understood that they did not give it to us. Instead, “we” took it from them, or more likely, llamas. It’s possible that Christopher Columbus’ crew acquired it from llamas and took it back to Europe, but who knows?

and never mind that smallpox was brought to Europe from Africa and that the Black Death, arising in the central plains of Asia had already decimated Europe in the middle ages or that the plague of Justinian which wiped out Constantinople in 540 A.D. was also a Chinese export. As for the Christopher Columbus holiday, no matter what one's city government proclaims under cover of idiocy, one can still celebrate and commemorate to one's heart's content. Put a wooden sailing vessel (or poster thereof) in the yard or greet people with "Happy Columbus Day". That can still be done under our not-yet-shredded Amendment I.

Mainly, however, it's important to teach the kiddies about how "in 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed the Ocean Blue". Don't worry if the teacher will correct them. You should have already taught them that even many of their teachers will tell lies, so they can't believe everything they are told.

As for the 2nd part of Mr. Buchanan's article, relating to the National Football League, it shouldn't take something like this kneeling issue to wake your ass up to the fact that you are being distracted by bread and circuses from the evil being perpetrated on you by our globalist elites. However, I guess it is working out for the good.

  30. Had a conversation with a liberal denizen of the echo chamber today. He bitterly complained about Trump’s moronic claims of having high IQ. So I pointed out that the claims were clearly an example of Trump’s habit of conversing in schoolyard language; but that in broad terms, Trump has succeeded in three VERY disparate venues of life – he has made tons of money, created a widely successful TV show, and won the presidency. Each one of those achievements takes considerable talent; together they take major talent, which Trump evidently must possess. I also failed to mention another of Trump’s talents – his ability to seduce highly attractive women.

The sum of Trump’s talents is an American charisma. And drawing on that charisma, Trump has stumbled upon a way of winning a re-election in 2020. Barring disasters, all he has to do is fight the culture wars with a gusto. He can’t lose!
Just think of the positions Trump’s opponents have taken. They oppose gender sanity, respecting the anthem, controlling crime, glorifying the truly glorious such as Columbus, the sanctity of life, and so on and so forth. Trump can’t lose! His opponents are a veritable gold mine! And they do not learn.
Imagine Trump vs Kamala Harris in 2020 (if they don’t murder him until then). He can’t lose.

My point is that saving American culture isn't going to happen unless demographic change is stopped and reversed. Nobody is coming to America to partake in traditional American majority (white) culture.

And it does matter that America's majority is made up of the same white and Christian base that founded, built, developed and largely populated the country until very recently. It's not the same place without them. It's also very obvious that very many whites oppose the current culture and the people pushing it.

why a Jihadi Caliphate, or even a fundamentalist Christian tyranny

why do we need a religion-based reason to raise our children to be healthy and proud?

there was nothing particularly religious about the Third Reich, but they were the epitome of a repudiation of the decadent Weimar regime

we don't need to return to religious fundamentalism to repudiate the moral sewage of Hollywood, and we don't need the fascist, overtly racist undertones of the Nazis either- in order to raise children to respect themselves and others.

Well, I always knew the guys' names, even Michael Collins, who stayed in moon orbit during the landing in the Apollo capsule. But, we were science/space nuts in my family so not the best single data point. The date was hazy to me for a long time.

I'll tell you why it's the case. The moon landing was more like current events than history (vs. Christopher Columbus' voyage) in the day when schools still taught with respect for white culture. About the time that the moon landing could have started to be seen as history was when anything related to the achievements of Western man was skipped over to talk about people who wanted to ride in the front of some stupid city bus*. It is a timing thing, I think, to answer your question.

BTW, I read a few more of your comments below this one - good stuff.

    * Which reminds me, what WAS the big deal about riding in the back of a city bus. A lot of white people can't even ride in any part of the bus!

  40. Isn’t this stuff about NFL rather silly and totally missing-the-point?

It’s like complaining about people using the F-word in a barroom brawl or adult entertainment.

    http://www.theonion.com/blogpost/why-do-porn-actors-have-to-use-such-foul-language-10715

The real threat of Pro Sports is not flags, knees, and anthems. Even if every Negro were patriotic and stood for the flag/anthem, what is the NFL and NBA about? It’s about BAMMAMA(blacks are more muscular and more aggressive) and ACOWW(Afro-colonization of white wombs), the real threat to white manhood, therefore the white race. White women will dump white men if white manhood is gone. Only affluent white men will get quality women. Rest of white men, without manhood, will be pushed around by Negroes who hump white women.

So, patriotic Negroes are even more dangerous than hateful Negroes. If ALL Negroes said, ‘we hate you, whitey, and wanna kick your butt’, that’s reason for whites to hate blacks and seek separation. But if blacks say, ‘we love the flag and white folks’, it means white guys will have to cheer for black guys doing sports and humping their women.

I doubt that. Even though I never heard of her, she's in the top 0.0005 %. Do the math, John. I'm being generous in an estimate of a studious person perhaps knowing the names of 10,000 woman (ones that are not known from personal/business relationships) from all the various endeavors, sports, politics, business leaders, etc. Hell, let's make it 20,000. There have been, say 4,000,000,000 women on earth through recorded history. 20,000/4,000,000,000 = 1/200,000 = 0.0005 %.

Additionally, why the 1st woman to do anything that a man has already done is of interest to me is another question that comes up.

I do remember the first MAN in space, who was the first HUMAN in space. His name is Yuri Gagarin, but I'm not saying that I remember the spelling. He beat John Glenn by 2 years or so, as I recall.

I think were getting closer than you might think to a paradigm shift where whites say, "Yes our ancestors were evil racist murderers just like your were. We're going to start supporting ours just like you have been supporting yours: with no excuses".

A classic example of the double standard did the Rick Steves travelogue show on PBS. He can discuss cannibalism in the Asian-Pacific, or in Africa in solemn tones of reverence as if he were talking about an enlightened people more in touch with mother Earth then Western man. But once he starts looking at the catacombs, a certain clattering of pearls can be heard on the microphone.

occasionally I’ll listen to NPR for morbid fun

and what you describe drips from their every word

they’ll be talking about some illegal from Honduras, and how the street gangs are so violent, and how the poor teenager was recruited into this terrible culture of violence and theft and murder…

and why it’s so incumbent upon us as a moral nation to allow him to stay

    blah, blah, blah

but with every word they speak, the intonation is a direct accusation at an evil, white, racist [redundant] society in the US (and West in general) whose neglect and endemic racism have directly caused all the suffering and injustice, to the point that we’re driving these poor young victims of gang violence to join these gangs and terrorize their local communities.

    How Neocons Destabilized Europe
    https://consortiumnews.com/2015/09/07/how-neocons-destabilized-europe/
….. When I first encountered the neocons in the 1980s, they had been given Central America to play with. President Ronald Reagan had credentialed many of them, bringing into the U.S. government neocon luminaries such as Elliott Abrams and Robert Kagan. But Reagan mostly kept them out of the big-power realms: the Mideast and Europe.
Those strategic areas went to the “adults,” people like James Baker, George Shultz, Philip Habib and Brent Scowcroft. The poor Central Americans, as they tried to shed generations of repression and backwardness imposed by brutal right-wing oligarchies, faced U.S. neocon ideologues who unleashed death squads and even genocide against peasants, students and workers.
The result not surprisingly was a flood of refugees, especially from El Salvador and Guatemala, northward to the United States. The neocon “success” in the 1980s, crushing progressive social movements and reinforcing the oligarchic controls, left most countries of Central America in the grip of corrupt regimes and crime syndicates, periodically driving more waves of what Reagan called “feet people” through Mexico to the southern U.S. border……

He’s Harvey Weinstein with a Twitter addiction. All because a bunch of football players decide not to stand before a game, and this in his mind is some major threat to the US. This issue would have died a month ago except for his insistence on stirring it up.

Sorry, he and his “warriors”, along with the sjw, can take their battle to a neutral field somewhere, preferably far away, and have at it. In the meantime we have a shitty health insurance racket, crumbling infrastructure, schools that are a joke compared to most of the rich world, epidemic underemployment, epidemic opioid abuse, and a runaway military budget. Stop schreeching and preening and pandering, and get to work. That’s the way we’ll get the US back to its 20th Century standing atop the heap.

In post #13 above you seen a true display of patriotic emotion in which the players and fans bond emotionally while singing their national anthem, but what goes on at NFL games is lame and the players and fans do not seem to be united by the ceremony. If the fans want displays of patriotism it would be better to have a marching band and a singalong of patriotic songs on the field before the game, but leave the players out of it, unless they actually wish to participate, in which case it is all good.

They are hired for their athleticism and footballing prowess, not for their patriotism, and if patriotism does not come from the heart, it cannot be artificially grown under lights or manufactured by Executive Order. In any case, these players are kneeling for the National Anthem, which is a bit unconventional, but at least they have their helmets off, which is a kind of gesture of respect. It is not like they are scratching their butts during the National Anthem.

Did you ever wonder why every school child from kindergarten on can recite who discovered America and the exact date, while not one in 100,000 know the name of the 1st person to walk on the moon, much less the date it happened? Why do you think this is the case?

Well, I always knew the guys’ names, even Michael Collins, who stayed in moon orbit during the landing in the Apollo capsule. But, we were science/space nuts in my family so not the best single data point. The date was hazy to me for a long time.

I’ll tell you why it’s the case. The moon landing was more like current events than history (vs. Christopher Columbus’ voyage) in the day when schools still taught with respect for white culture. About the time that the moon landing could have started to be seen as history was when anything related to the achievements of Western man was skipped over to talk about people who wanted to ride in the front of some stupid city bus*. It is a timing thing, I think, to answer your question.

BTW, I read a few more of your comments below this one – good stuff.

    * Which reminds me, what WAS the big deal about riding in the back of a city bus. A lot of white people can’t even ride in any part of the bus!

And even fewer know the name of the first woman in space. Valentina Tereshkova must be the least famous famous woman of all time.

Valentina Tereshkova must be the least famous famous woman of all time.

I doubt that. Even though I never heard of her, she’s in the top 0.0005 %. Do the math, John. I’m being generous in an estimate of a studious person perhaps knowing the names of 10,000 woman (ones that are not known from personal/business relationships) from all the various endeavors, sports, politics, business leaders, etc. Hell, let’s make it 20,000.

His name is Yuri Gagarin, but I’m not saying that I remember the spelling. He beat John Glenn by 2 years or so, as I recall.

Well, of course. Gagarin is very memorable because 1) he was the first man to orbit the earth in space, 2) he was a very likeable character, a man of the people, 3) he sadly died very young in 1968 at only 34 in a routine training flight in a small plane.

Additionally, why the 1st woman to do anything that a man has already done is of interest to me is another question that comes up.

Well, why would the first American to do something that had already been done by a Russian be of interest?

Clearly the achievements of Tereshkova would be of great interest if you were into women's studies, or the history of sex equality and so on, or if you were a student of space history, even though she was four months later than Glenn in orbiting the earth.

Tereshkova orbited the earth 48 times and spent almost three days in space. With a single flight, she logged more flight time than the combined times of all American astronauts who had flown before that date. Glenn, four months earlier, had only done 3 laps. After Tereshkova, no woman went into space for the next 20 years, so her achievements were remarkable.

Glenn said, in a public speech in 1962, opposing the idea of space flights by women. "I think this gets back to the way our social order is organized, really. It is just a fact. The men go off and fight the wars and fly the airplanes and come back and help design and build and test them. The fact that women are not in this field is a fact of our social order."

At first glance if you read this today, it sounds like a criticism of the US culture of the mid 20th century, but that is not how it was intended at that time.

    Talk about sour grapes!

In 2013 Tereshkova told Putin that she would be happy to go on a flight to Mars, even if it was a one-way trip. Now there is an astronaut for you.

A classic example of the double standard did the Rick Steves travelogue show on PBS. He can discuss cannibalism in the Asian-Pacific, or in Africa in solemn tones of reverence as if he were talking about an enlightened people more in touch with mother Earth then Western man.

occasionally I'll listen to NPR for morbid fun

and what you describe drips from their every word

they'll be talking about some illegal from Honduras, and how the street gangs are so violent, and how the poor teenager was recruited into this terrible culture of violence and theft and murder...

and why it's so incumbent upon us as a moral nation to allow him to stay

    blah, blah, blah

but with every word they speak, the intonation is a direct accusation at an evil, white, racist [redundant] society in the US (and West in general) whose neglect and endemic racism have directly caused all the suffering and injustice, to the point that we're driving these poor young victims of gang violence to join these gangs and terrorize their local communities.

the mewling, sobbing in their voices is always an accusation of white society

we're directly responsible for the girls raped by Boko Haram

we're directly responsible for the suffering in Puerto Rico

we may as well have swung the machetes in Darfur, for all our direct complicity

we're responsible for the war on Syria, (not because of the Zio-CIA) but because our SUVs have caused Climate Change, and that's why there's a civil war in Syria.

People see me in my car laughing and wonder what's up.

they’ll be talking about some illegal from Honduras, and how the street gangs are so violent, and how the poor teenager was recruited into this terrible culture of violence and theft and murder…

The neocon “success” in the 1980s, crushing progressive social movements and reinforcing the oligarchic controls, left most countries of Central America in the grip of corrupt regimes and crime syndicates, periodically driving more waves of what Reagan called “feet people” through Mexico to the southern U.S. border……

“Trump’s Praise of Columbus Omits Dark History,” ran the CNN headline.

rewriting history to comport to the butt-hurts of the world, is no more realistic than rewriting humankind's ascent from the slime with a wrenching guilt for the genocide of the Neanderthals- or the myriad other humanoids that were uncompetitive.

it's all an exercise in competitive evolutionary strategy. If the people of the West were superior enough to dominate the competing tribes of yesteryear- all trying to subjugate or slaughter their neighbors- then what those beleaguered tribes have learned is that the modern West, with its suffrage and paeans to altruism and 'man as a sinner' who is flawed and fallen...

is that the Western man is compromised by his endemic, congenital kindness, and that kindness and 'guilt' and sympathy for his 'fellow man' and love of 'equality', is his Achilles heel. To be mercilessly exploited until you have him Zimbabwe'd.

That is what this is all about.

Trump simply represents an unapologetic view of history that doesn't lament- with a desire to reverse- the loss of the Neanderthal

if the football players were on one knee to protest the serial and illegal and immoral wars the ZUS has been waging all over the place, I'd be sympathetic to their cause

but what they're protesting is the intractable "racism" (congenital racial differences) that white people can't do anything about, unless it's to exit stage left, and hand over their lands to the butt-hurts.

which is what they're protesting for and demanding

    duh

is that the Western man is compromised by his endemic, congenital kindness, and that kindness and ‘guilt’ and sympathy for his ‘fellow man’ and love of ‘equality’, is his Achilles heel. To be mercilessly exploited until you have him Zimbabwe’d.

I would go so far as to question whether even a Jihadi Caliphate might not, ultimately, be a lesser evil than the dissolute, nihilistic Buggery State that we, to a considerable degree, have already become.

why a Jihadi Caliphate, or even a fundamentalist Christian tyranny

why do we need a religion-based reason to raise our children to be healthy and proud?

there was nothing particularly religious about the Third Reich, but they were the epitome of a repudiation of the decadent Weimar regime

the causes of which are the very same thing causing America's current descent into the moral abyss

we don't need to return to religious fundamentalism to repudiate the moral sewage of Hollywood, and we don't need the fascist, overtly racist undertones of the Nazis either- in order to raise children to respect themselves and others.

    https://humanitiesusa.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/norman-rockwell-freedom-of-worship.jpg

even as we speak, right now the purveyors of spiritual sewage and moral rot, are on the defensive.

their predatory behavior is being held up for all to see

and the rot in Hollywood is being exposed

it's a start, and we didn't need the Muslim Jihads or the Christians (who've been tepid in their criticism of Hollywood) to see these hopeful events unfold

it is natural to for boys to like girls and vise-versa. The moral decay is an unnatural phenomena that simply needs to be exposed, and tossed in the trash can. Much like Americans are (finally) doing with professional sports, and the criminal felon heroes that they've been worshiping.

and none of that required any Caliphate to accomplish

So, according to you, you only need to abolish the rot called Hollywood, and the morally and spiritually bankrupt western civilisation will find salvation?

Whew! Here I feared that there would be minds, such as yours, who would detect the true rot within your society, take a major change in course to mitigate it, and thus avoid the comeuppance your society so very much deserves, for the evil it has perpetuated over decades past.

Whew, what a relief! You gave me a fright man.

With respect, I think a major point is being missed.

Indeed, Mr. Trump does seem to be embracing the 'culture war.' Which means that he is abandoning his principles, the ones that got him elected.

OK, he's taking on the NFL. And done a 180-degree turn on opposing wasting trillions of dollars on endless pointless winless overseas wars.

What next? Maybe he'll propose a ban on tearing down statues of confederate generals - and push for a massive amnesty for foreign nationals present in the country illegally. Talk a lot about how 'antifa' protestors are anti-American - and push to allow American companies that have shifted their jobs overseas to low-wage countries pay even less taxes on their profits. Etc.

The Democrats were corrupted when they became the party of Wall Street and identity politics, the Republicans, when they became the party of Wall Street and SOCIAL conservatives.

    American people: 0. Swamp: 1.

I meant to reply earlier, TG, but got distracted by some holier-than-thou camel-jockey. I agree with your comment totally. Trump has let us down bigly. Talk won’t do it. The only thing that keeps patriotic Americans’ spirits up is the fact that we have “All talk, no action” with Trump vs. “All screeching and harping, plenty of action” had the Hildabeast won that election.

But, no, good spirits won’t save the country. The problems we have must be dealt with right now. (Actually, one of the problems, the ponzi-based economy, could not even be fixed now by Dr. Paul and Mr. Buchanan working 24/7. It’s too late.)

Valentina Tereshkova must be the least famous famous woman of all time.

I doubt that.

I do remember the first MAN in space, who was the first HUMAN in space.

Clearly the achievements of Tereshkova would be of great interest if you were into women’s studies, or the history of sex equality and so on, or if you were a student of space history, even though she was four months later than Glenn in orbiting the earth.

“I think this gets back to the way our social order is organized, really. It is just a fact. The men go off and fight the wars and fly the airplanes and come back and help design and build and test them. The fact that women are not in this field is a fact of our social order.”

It would be to an American when a Cold War space race, along with all the rest of the military competition between the world's 2 superpowers, is going on. Which lead to:

I know that you know the retort to this. How many people are into women's studies, and what are they good for? How many are into space history (that'd be a very interesting major to me)?

After Tereshkova, no woman went into space for the next 20 years, so her achievements were remarkable.

That's not because no one volunteered! It's remarkable that the Soviets got their program going and accomplished what they did, just like it is for the American space program. The Soviets wanted to send a woman up for political reasons. They got their digs in for the American budding feminists. Then they didn't bother again for a long while, cause what would the point be?

After Tereshkova, no woman went into space for the next 20 years, so her achievements were remarkable.

10 thousand guys would do the same thing. What of it? Nothing she did is remarkable as a human feat. I'd say the same for the American program. The engineering and technician work was remarkable. They probably had many thousands of well qualified men that could do the astronaut job, but they had to weed them out to a few scores of them (not all got to go up into space after all that). This meant disqualification based on anything one could think of. Medically, it made sense to weed out any man on anything worrisome at all, when you only need whatever 50 or so.

    Listen, I'm sure Tereshkova was a good pilot, and brave and probably very smart too. What of it? Why would she be famous, if I'm not a space historian, not a Russian, not a women's studies major, and she was not the first to go into space nor orbit? Besides all that, what has Tereshkova ever done for us?! (Nope, I can't keep putting Monty Python on here - I'll get banned or something. ;-}

I do remember the first MAN in space, who was the first HUMAN in space.

Well, why would the first American to do something that had already been done by a Russian be of interest?

...and here I was thinking Muslims were the only people to ever copulate with sheep-like creatures.

Ah, but of course, you mean those blessed true believers who behave the way they do, because as an act of true worship they fully accept the separation of authorities as commanded by the One, the Lord of everything.

Consider the opposite side of the societal spectrum. The western man who copulates with bitch-like creatures, who during the carnal act, in all likelihood, is fantasising about the last dog it tasted. Eww.

Yup. Also, the way NPR pronounces every Hispanic name or toponym with a Spanish accent, e.g., “PueRRRRto RRRico”. They don’t do that with any other language that I noticed, but only the implied future lingua franca of the multi-kulti USA.
