“Once that picture with the blackface and the Klansman came out, there is no way you can continue to be the governor of the commonwealth of Virginia.”

So decreed Terry McAuliffe, insisting on the death penalty with no reprieve for his friend and successor Gov. Ralph Northam.

Et tu, Brute?

Yet Northam had all but sworn Saturday he had no knowledge of the 1984 yearbook photo and that he was not either man in the photo.

McAuliffe, who is considering a run for president, joined Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Julian Castro and Joe Biden in the pile-on. All had washed their hands of Northam.

That a moderate Democratic governor is near friendless in a fight for his life reveals much about the Democratic Party.

Earlier last week, Northam was at the center of another blazing controversy. He had backed legislation to permit abortions up to birth.

And then he volunteered that, if a child were born after a botched abortion, the “infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

Northam seemed to be not only endorsing third-trimester abortion, but infanticide, “mercy killing,” the murder of a living but wounded baby after birth. A public outcry forced the legislature to back off the bill.

Then the photo from the yearbook of Eastern Virginia Medical School surfaced. Yet, in term of moral gravity, which is worse?

Public advocacy of late-term abortions with an option to execute babies who survive, or a stupid and insensitive 35-year-old photo of two beer-drinking guys, one dressed up in Klan costume, the other in blackface.

Other Democrats are saying that even if Northam is not in the “racist” photo, he admitted to putting shoe polish on his face, to imitate Michael Jackson and his moonwalk, for a 1984 dance contest.

To some Democrats, third-trimester abortions are a step forward for women’s rights. Gov. Andrew Cuomo was cheered in Albany for enacting a law to guarantee late-term abortions should Roe v. Wade be overturned.

By week’s end, Virginia Democrats were bewailing the “horrible” history of their state, where, in 1619, the first slave ship arrived at Point Comfort with men and women from Africa who would work the plantations until the Civil War ended, 250 years later.

One cannot rewrite history.

Four of America’s first six presidents — Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe — were Virginians. All were slave owners. Richmond, the capital of Virginia, was the capital of the Confederacy. The commander in chief of the Confederate armies was a Virginian, Robert E. Lee.

Northam attended Virginia Military Institute, where Thomas Jonathan (“Stonewall”) Jackson had been Instructor of Artillery. The VMI cadet corps fought proudly in the Battle of New Market.

The most memorialized of Virginia’s heroes, in its monuments and statues, are colonists, Revolutionary War and Confederate soldiers and statesmen, and 19th- and 20th-century senators and governors. Almost all supported slavery or segregation.

When the Warren Court outlawed segregation in 1954, Virginia and the South replied with the Dixie Manifesto, declaring open defiance and “massive resistance” to the court order to integrate.

Not until Nixon’s presidency was the order carried out.

In recent years, there has been a running debate about what kind of country America is.

Is she a blood and soil nation, a separate people, with their own unique history, heroes, holidays, language, literature, myths and music? Or is America a propositional nation, united solely by its values, whose mission it is to transmit these values to mankind?

The question raised this weekend, however, is even more divisive.

Is America a good country, or has she, like Virginia, such a past of sins and crimes as to make her eternally ashamed and for which she should make eternal amends? Does America owe the world?

ORDER IT NOW

Should Western civilization be held responsible for what it has done through the centuries to persons of color the world over? Should we conduct a purging of monuments to all of America’s “white racists,” as antifa and its allies are determined to do in Virginia?

The Democratic Party may believe that by throwing Northam to the wolves it will satisfy these forces. It won’t.

We are at the beginning of a Kulturkampf to purge America of all monuments and tributes to the white males who created, built and ruled the country, and once believed that they, their nation, their faith, and their civilization were superior to all others. And, without apology, they so acted in the world.

Those two guys drinking beer in blackface and Klan robes and a hood thought they were being funny, but to the unamused members of a radicalized Democratic Party, there is nothing funny about them.

And, after Northam, these intolerant people will demand that the Democratic Party nominate a candidate who will echo their convictions about America’s past.

FAKE SCANDAL MANUFACTURED BY THE JEWISH CONTROLLED MSM.

Before the days of the internet, I read the paper and it said the whole country was OUTRAGED at Reagan.

So I went OUT to the stores and looked for people in RAGE. But they were all smiling, busy shopping, and there was nobody OUT there in any RAGE. I came home disappointed.

Little by little, I realized the MSM is not just fake news, but they MANUFACTURE the news and scandals.

This is a manufactured scandal, manufactured by the media, repeated ad nauseum, and the gullible public thinks everybody is outraged.

Like the fake Russian interference scandal.

integration by fiat is just as wrong in a free society as segregation by fiat.

Nixon and the nation should have ignored the imperious and unconstitutional court decree, and told them to pound sand, and worked to impeach the robed tyrants and had them tarred and feathered.

Nixon worked to legitimize Mao’s china. Thanks for that.

Nixon took us off the gold standard

Nixon backed up Israel in the Yom Kipper war and gave us the Oil Embargo and a draconian 55 mph national speed limit on America’s rural highways. Thanks for that you bastard. (God how many run-ins with the goons and tickets I had to pay!)

Nixon expanded Affirmative Action to include the universities and other government institutions

I’m trying to think what that asshole did that was any good…

As our nation is becoming unglued, it seems to me that much of the momentum for all this rot and rancor was put into motion by Richard Milhous Nixon.

That question is like a typical dicked-up survey question, Mr. Buchanan, where the answers will mean nothing. America WAS a good country, with the best system of government ever devised in history, by a number of the wisest men ever to attempt that. It is NOT a good country now. Just read over your column and see the screwed-up place we have become – worried about a 35 y/o prank in a photo, yet passing laws to allow children to be killed at Mom’s discretion, and tearing down lots of the history that could have taught younger Americans about the nation’s glorious past.

No, Pat, it’s a BAD country, very near Peak Stupidity, that we all should be ashamed of, and someone WILL PAY for the sins of today, afterwards.

    1. The ‘Fight the White Patriarchy’ party will no longer be able to pass a White man through their primaries.

    2. The Democrats will do absolutely anything it takes to avoid talking about the realities of late term abortion.

    Adjust your doom porn accordingly.

    Laughing.

Black face to imitate michael jackson is really about all one needs to know about the academic and social climate of the community in question.

    Laughing.

But the murder if children in the womb or out is serious business and that is not humorous in any shape or form. But it clear that protecting the murder of children remains a lesser offense to the liberal mind.

It’s easy to judge someone with today’s eyes for what they did 35 years ago that was then more considered to be merely in poor taste.

By week’s end, Virginia Democrats were bewailing the “horrible” history of their state, where, in 1619, the first slave ship arrived at Point Comfort with men and women from Africa who would work the plantations until the Civil War ended, 250 years later. …

They don’t seem to find any tears for the boatloads of white indentured and convict bond servants who started arriving in 1609 and eventually delivered them as nearly two-thirds of the early white immigrants to Virginia. We got over it, why can’t they?

When the Warren Court outlawed segregation in 1954, Virginia and the South replied with the Dixie Manifesto, declaring open defiance and “massive resistance” to the court order to integrate.

Heck, Lunchbucket Joe Biden was singing the praises of segregation well into the 1970s, although he did try to camouflage it by saying it was good for Black Pride.

I guess my question is how an old pro like Ed Rollins could have missed such a fat juicy pitch, especially when charges of racism were being levied against him. Republicans can even screw up wet dreams.

If you examine the record you’ll find that the radical left has made some of its greatest advances under ostensibly conservative Republican presidents. Nixon rhetorically opposed forced busing but did nothing to stop it. The SCOTUS were acting as lawmakers and greatly exceeded their authority just as they do now.

Reagan gave us amnesty and the MLK holiday. Trump’s more of a populist but gave us The First Step Act, thanks to (((Jared))) which was hailed by virtually all America hating black malcontents. It never would have passed under an Obama or Hillary presidency and would have been billed as soft on crime by the cucks. But since we have a Republican president the opportunity to virtue signal to black America was too good to pass up.

Trump agreed to formally condemn white nationalism and “white supremacy” after the Chartlottesville riots while not condemning antifa, left wing lawlessness and the black supremacy of BLM, the new black panther party and the NOI.

    Trump also banned bump stocks.

The collegiate and universities, were taking government money, they were also denying certain citizens access. That is a violation of the law.

The policy did not require the lowering of standards. That the educational system made that choice to short cut the programs end in order to continue to get government money has absolutely nothing to do with the ethos of medical schools regarding mocking black citizens by wearing blackface and prancing around in clothing designed to enable violating the law to enforce white superiority.

And it has nothing to do with the practice or polity of murdering children in the womb.

I think it’s fair to say that the 50 year old Kavenaugh is not the same guy as the 15 year old. Northam would have been in his mid 20’s when he did the blackface/KKK thing and should have known better even in 1984 Virginia.

The heir apparent to the Ottoman throne formerly strangled many of his competitors or brothers and one guy, Mehmed III strangled no fewer than 19 people! The Turks saw that this was getting out of hand, so they started sequestering the potential future Sultans in the Topkapi palace and entertained them with concubines and macrame. Not surprisingly, these people did not become great leaders since they were unaccustomed to any conflict. I think we are selecting out a similar breed of functional eunuch politicians in the US.

“integration by fiat is just as wrong in a free society as segregation by fiat”

But the questions becomes what do you do.

I was an integration kid. I had a middle school three blocks from my home, but I was shipped by bus for a one hour ride to another lousy school 10 miles away. That was 1973.

Yet many local municipalities openly discriminated against students of color,
awful infrastructure, beat-up textbooks, teachers who could not wait to leave, no music classes, no art classes, most times a non existent library and PE meant sidewalk.

The parents paid taxes to the cities, sales tax, property tax. Probably not as much as other neighborhoods but still a significant portion of their income.

But back then, most communities where quite happy with the status quo. The local leadership and majority of the towns people did not see a reason for change. In their world the crime of integration was not forced busing, but rather why did you bring those kids here.

so when you have such entrenched feelings and attitudes, what do you do?

I don’t know, but that status quo pre-1973 was pretty shameful.

I don’t want any arsehole presuming to tell me who I must or mustn’t associate with under any circumstances. Period.

But isn’t it amazing how they don’t even swing the pendulum, but just jump from one extreme to the other.

    You MUST segregate!

    to overnight

    You MUST integrate!

I suspect that the ‘reasoning’ is just to keep the sheople under the thrall of the Orwellian iron fist that these arseholes have the authority to tell us who we can and can’t associate with.

‘If we let them decide for themselves, they might start to think they can decide other things for themselves too!’

Like which wars they must fight and die in, or how much of their hard-earned money we can extort’

Back to the theme of speed limits, Germany has highways that Germans are allowed to drive their cars on as fast as they like. And there’s no problem. But the reason Americans are never allowed to make such adult decisions like that for themselves, is it sends the wrong message, about who is in control, and who is in charge. They don’t ever want the sheople to start to think they can decide things for themselves. How fast to drive. Who they can associate with. Who they can hire or fire from their own businesses. Who they can rent their spare bedroom to.

Everything must be centrally controlled. Even which Halloween costumes are acceptable.

    A nation of sheep.

  32. Most abortions are early-term lifestyle choices by women who are not facing life-altering medical repercussions for bearing the child.

In the fake-feminist era of libertine social mores, girls are under no social pressure to refrain from sexual relations before marriage and haven’t been for decades. When college girls get pregnant at a young age, they sometimes abort their babies to enjoy more years with a show-worthy figure, particularly during their prime, hip-band-following years—a period that extends far past youth for many due to at-their-beck-and-call grandparent babysitters who, after they marry and have kids, raise their kids for them so that both parents can take a job out of the economy in an underemployed nation.

In addition to accommodating them in occupying two decent-paying jobs with benefits per household so that dual-earner parents can afford a trendier house and multiple excused-vacation trips for busy-“working” parents, groveling grandparent babysitters also accomodate the dual-earner parents in continuing to pursue a youth-worthy weekend social life after they have kids—long after the college party years are over.

The grandparent babysitting convenience is a big reason why so many couples are no longer willing to move across the country to find high-quality employment, unlike in past generations when most women were stay-at-home mothers who retired into paid-for homes. Those women raised their own children and, thus, could move anywhere in the country with their breadwinner husbands.

If the few decent-paying jobs—which are now almost always dominated by dual-earner parents—were spread over more households, America would have fewer single, childless people in miserable situations, living with no dignity in their mommas’ basements, and America would have more family formation.

The focus on abortion will never accomplish the conservative goal of more family formation.

Through things like more non-refundable child tax credits, conservatives help to ensure less family formation.

They help to make sure that the few decent-paying jobs are concentrated under fewer roofs via assortative mating, with grandparents, low-wage daycare workers and NannyCams raising the dual-earners’ kids for them while they take one family-friendly vacation after another, in addition to keeping their crony jobs while indulging in daily, backwatching absenteeism.

In the upper middle class and what’s left of the middle class, college girls try to preserve their youthful appearance as long as possible via early abortion. And they also have early-term abortions due to strong social pressure to wait to have children until they are married, in a show-worthy house and locked into a crony, absenteeism-friendly job “voted best for moms,” where working moms stick together to drive out the “non culture fits” and are above firing.

Late-term abortion, by contrast, does not sound like a decadent lifestyle issue, but a serious medical quandary for a few unlucky doctors and a few unlucky patients. Few likely voters confront that awful choice.

Years ago, I heard a very conservative senator / physician back up a surgeon general nominee during a confirmation hearing, saying the same thing Northam did about those late-term procedures, confirming that doctors only perform those when the life, the health or the future fertility of the woman is in jepoardy due to a severely malformed fetus.

The problems described by this doctor sounded almost mechanical, not just a matter of a fetus that isn’t “perfect” due to some organic disease, but a fetus that was so malformed that the structures of the woman’s body would be greatly damaged by delivering the baby.

These are women who would have likely died in childbirth in eras when medical science was less developed. In this era, some doctors are presented with all-bad choices that were not an issue before the advance of modern science.

The physician nominee described how delivering a late-term baby would have torn one woman’s insides apart, destroying her bladder and her fertility, whichever way he did it. In a few rare cases, doctors confront situations where, either way they go, they have only terrible choices.

But the early-term college girls described above don’t make choices of that ilk; they make lifestyle-enhancement choices.

In this upside-down world, it is the common choices of the lifestyle-first college girls seeking early-term abortions—rather than doctors and women facing impossible and sad medical choices in rare, late-term abortion cases—who are above critique by Democrats and Republicans.

Both parties bow to the fake feminists.

Part of that is because most upper-middle-class likely voters want their daughters to finish college and marry before reproducing, snagging two crony-parent jobs per household, so that they can enjoy the grandbaby show-off phase of life, with their daughter living in a big, showy house. Early pregnancy interrupts that lifestyle flow.

Part of it is the need to shift the focus from the many Democratic and Republican married women, secretly wanting to preserve the early-term abortion access that many of them use so that they can have a “perfect,” show-worthy family. Otherwise, doctors would not be performing routine tests to determine whether or not the fetus has Downs Syndrome on every pregnant woman, doing it within the timeframe for legal abortion.

What is that saying in tbe Bible about “all is vanity.”

All of the issues that reflect on the morality of glorified working moms are distorted in the fake-feminist era to avoid any real criticism of them, but childless women and men are raked over the coals over any trivial moral issue— anything—even a party photo from 30 years ago that could easily have been planted in his yearbook by the typical high school bullies who ran amok in every school in the USA (circa 1984).

Was Northam called a racially sensitive name by the tiny handful of open, young bigots that still existed in the South of the 1980s because he wore a weird, uncool coonskin cap or because he was a big liberal, hanging out with Black kids?

The “cutdown generation” of the Eighties had some world-class bullies, but it was far from a racist environment to grow up in, quite the opposite. Most of the bullying had nothing to do with race. Racism was very uncool among the Eighties youth, including in the South.

It was the era when Micheal Jackson and Prince were worshipped, with young guys doing exactly what Northram described: honoring Jackson by competing in breakdancing contests. The Cosby Show was watched by everyone. It was an era when the athletes in school were absolutely worshipped, including most of the Black kids in my school. In my Southern high school, the popular Black guys strutted around, just like the popular white guys, and the popular Black girls attended slumber parties with the middle and upper-middle-class white girls.

    Not buying the MSM BS.

It is interesting how the MSM weaponize the most trivial things, going for the jugular, unless it is one of their pet groups, like working moms who are 100% above criticism on the left….and the right.

Working moms cannot be criticized, not in the media, not in their crony-mom discrimination-gang workplaces that are 98% mom-dominated or anywhere at all in the fake-feminist era.

They occupy most of America’s wide array of part-time / temp jobs, with many of the single moms among them calculatingly staying under the earned-income limits for multiple monthly welfare programs while also collecting up to $6,431 in refundable child tax credit cash, enabling them to have an independent household while skipping putting up with a husband.

And many of the married moms add keeping-up-with-the-Jones’ money to a spousal income by dominating the absenteeism-friendly office jobs in crony bully gangs. The bully gangs of high school serve as good preparation for these not-working-very-hard-at-anything-but-catty-bullying moms.

Usually the first out the door when the phones are ringing off the hook with paying customers, they prefer those “careers” over raising their own kids, and they delay having kids for as long as possible in many cases, with a few of them delaying it via very avoidable early-term abortions.

No distastrous physical consequences are involved in the early-term decision-making of those young women, nor in the case of the many married women who abort fetuses at early stages when they are told about standard birth defects.

Abortions are up because crony voted-best-for-moms office jobs are easier than raising your own kids, because moms want showy houses and expensive mom-pampering trips and because moms want show-worthy babies with no birth defects so that they can post baby pics on FB every time you pass their cubicle, when they are actually at work, rather than absentee with the blessings of the flex-time crony-momma manager who “needs the job,” even though her husband brings in enough income to support the household in style.

Abortions are up due to the social pressure to skip having kids until the mommas attain bigger and bigger show houses and princess-show weddings, keeping up with the highest paid assortative mates who—by concentrating two high-paying jobs under one roof—have ramped up the standard for a middle-class lifestyle to something exceeding the upper-middle-class lifestyles of households with a multi-degree male breadwinner in previous eras, taking it up near the lifestyle expectations of the most successful, flat-out wealthy, job-providing businesspeople of previous eras.

Most of those who pursue early-term abortions always intended to have children, regardless of the social-engineering policy that rigs the labor market for them. This is proven by the way they do end up having children in their chosen timeframe, with society backing these “feminists” up with an enormous number of womb-productivity privileges, including paychecks that are higher than the paychecks of their childless, single colleagues and single parents with kids over 18 who need to cover unaffordable rent with one, earned-only income stream.

Their paychecks are bigger than the paychecks of childless couples who think they cannot afford to undertake marriage and family formation. Their paychecks are higher because of the way witholding works in the womb-rigged progressive tax code.

The paychecks of working parents are higher, even when they work fewer hours and do not meet the quotas, due to the the way the discriminatory, anti-hard-work progressive tax code works.

And they get refundable or non-refundable child tax credits in the thousands to spend on mom-pampering treats, like am armful of $900 tattoos, a kitchen redo or one more beach trip with a boyfriend. And they are above firing in their glorified part-time jobs, all in the service of fake, womb-productivity-based feminism and increasing a birthrate that is not rising among US citizens despite the crony pay-per-birth system that rigs the labor market for moms.

It is not rising any more than the laborforce-participation rate in our three-ring-circus, crony-rigged labor market.

Like many married moms with spousal income and divorced moms with rent-covering child support, single-breadwinner moms at the bottom of the wage scale can afford to work cheaply, driving wages down for the non-welfare-eligible, because they have plentiful unearned-income welfare cushions—from subsidized rent, to free food, to free electricity and free monthly cash assistance and $6,431 child tax credit cash. In the few cases where they are the ones getting fired from churn jobs, they are the ones assigned free government lawyers to fight for the UC that most non-welfare-eligible Americans never receive one dime of between churn jobs, no matter how hard hard they worked to keep the crony-absentee parent manager’s number up until she churned another batch of hard workers.

Free lawyers take the cases of “poor” single mommas to court, fighting for the UC of beleaguered working moms who, in many cases, were absentee whole mornings, whole afternoons, whole weeks and whole months. Most (nearly 100%) of the moms get away with protracted and frequent absenteeism unless it is all day / every day absenteeism in a management job.

These are the kind of corrupt things that happen on a regular basis in the abortion-friendly, family-friendly, crony-working-mom-friendly USA, with its middle class in sharp decline, whereas late-term abortions are rare and tragic medical events.

Oh, and people of all races say all kinds of thing in these crazy, unprofessional workplaces. Black people, too, say all kinds of untoward things or things with high shock value, mostly in jest, with white people refraining from making a big deal out of it. They put such things in the proper context, accepting jokes as jokes, even when the jokes are offensive, rather than weaponizing a triviality to destroy someone, not that white employees can use mere words in that way.

“integration by fiat is just as wrong in a free society as segregation by fiat”

But the questions becomes what do you do.

    NOTHING!

It’s none of the federal government’s God damn business how states and local school districts want to operate their school systems.

But telling people they must or must not associate with ‘those people’ is tyrannical in the extreme.

It’s like saying in 1850 that black slavery is good and must be a legal institution.

Then, saying we changed our mind, and now it’s going to be white slavery that is good and must be a legal institution. (which it used to be if you just go back a few centuries more into America’s proud history)

Who the &%$ are these people to presume by what manner we’re all suppose to conduct our lives?

The answer = the willingness of the American sheople to tolerate it.

Just as they tolerate all manner of authoritarian infringements into our very private lives.

When they told middle America that they were going to bus their rural White children into inner-city schools, I wish middle America would have given them an American middle finger.

Just like when they eventually come for the guns. I know a LOT of men who are saying that is the last straw, and that if they want them, then come and take them!

I’d like to think that Americans would have said the same thing about bussing their children to inner-city schools. Over my dead body, would have been the appropriate response.

As for black schools being ‘under-privileged’.. how many trillions have been spent to achieve equal outcomes? Eh?

And how much more must be wasted down that pipe-dream? How much damage has it done to White kids to have our entire Dept. of Education and academia obsessed with academic parity between Black students and White? It’s impossible, and yet the handwringing goes on today as if no one in the country has a clue.

I’ve got nothing against Black children, and wish them all the best. I abhor things like forced segregation, because it is done by fiat, and I’d like to tell them all what they can to with their fiats.

If you allow black kids to go where they want, then some may gravitate to predominantly white schools, and why not? Many Black children can compete and then some. Many white children are congenital slackers. Let freedom decide, is all I’m saying. And %$#@ the social engineers.

Saudis and US are now two evil twins joined by a debt umbilical.

With a handful of Treasury and Federal Reserve officials, the secret was kept for more than four decades—until now. In response to a Freedom-of-Information-Act request submitted by Bloomberg News, the Treasury broke out Saudi Arabia’s holdings for the first time this month after “concluding that it was consistent with transparency and the law to disclose the data,” according to spokeswoman Whitney Smith. The $117 billion trove makes the kingdom one of America’s largest foreign creditors.

Exactly how much of America’s debt Saudi Arabia actually owns is something that matters more now than ever before.

While oil’s collapse has deepened concern that Saudi Arabia will need to liquidate its Treasuries to raise cash, a more troubling worry has also emerged: the specter of the kingdom using its outsize position in the world’s most important debt market as a political weapon, much as it did with oil in the 1970s.

World War Two and America’s post war transformation into an empire did that. It was Eisenhower who sent troops to Arkansas in the 1950s, years before Nixon did anything. The powers that be bet on a racially diverse empire being a beacon to a world that would then let the American Empire control it forever, but they were wrong. A racist non-white USA will quickly see Asian and European allies turn away and seek alliances elsewhere. You can see this happening already: the US is losing cultural influence in Asia as “diverse” movies and music crater and there seems to be a forming consensus against the US in the European Union; it’s not inconceivable that the radical right and radical left in the EU might one day unite against democrat party anti-European racism or blame their migrant problems on the toxic influence of the United States – something that will quickly become possible once any possibility of the Republicans winning power again after 2020 evaporates.

There is also a deep anti-Japanese sentiment on the radical left. “Indentured servants” were given the most dangerous, hazardous tasks as their “terms of service” were limited.
African slaves were seen as an “investment” and were considered too valuable to risk on dangerous work.
Most slaves did NOT work sixty hours a week for fifty-two weeks…
In fact, most agricultural slaves worked long hours only during the planting and harvest seasons, whereas the rest of the time was relatively leisurely, with not much to do, while the slave owner still had to provide clothing, housing and other amenities for them.
Now, the “house slaves” working conditions were better, but they did have to work 52 weeks a year, unlike the “field hands”…
As for brutality against slaves, although it did exist, it was relatively uncommon. Getting work out of slaves who were mistreated would have been difficult and counterproductive.
The slave owners were not stupid; they used psychology to keep their charges “in line”. A misbehaving slave would be punished publicly in front of the slave womenfolk. This would encourage the woman slaves to do everything they could to keep the men slaves “in line”…making them “behave themselves”. The present-day matriarchal society prevalent in the American black community is the result…
