“We got China wrong. Now what?” ran the headline over the column in The Washington Post.

“Remember how American engagement with China was going to make that communist backwater more like the democratic, capitalist West?” asked Charles Lane in his opening sentence.

America’s elites believed that economic engagement and the opening of U.S. markets would cause the People’s Republic to coexist benignly with its neighbors and the West.

We deluded ourselves. It did not happen.

Xi Jinping just changed China’s constitution to allow him to be dictator for life. He continues to thieve intellectual property from U.S. companies and to occupy and fortify islets in the South China Sea, which Beijing now claims as entirely its own.

Meanwhile, China sustains North Korea as Chinese warplanes and warships circumnavigate Taiwan threatening its independence.

We today confront a Chinese Communist dictatorship and superpower that seeks to displace America as first power on earth, and to drive the U.S. military back across the Pacific.

Who is responsible for this epochal blunder?

The elites of both parties. Bush Republicans from the 1990s granted China most-favored-nation status and threw open America’s market.

Result: China has run up $4 trillion in trade surpluses with the United States. Her $375 billion trade surplus with us in 2017 far exceeded the entire Chinese defense budget.

We fed the tiger, and created a monster.

Why? What is in the mind of Western man that our leaders continue to adopt policies rooted in hopes unjustified by reality?

Recall. Stalin was a murderous tyrant unrivaled in history whose victims in 1939 were 1,000 times those of Adolf Hitler, with whom he eagerly partnered in return for the freedom to rape the Baltic States and bite off half of Poland.

When Hitler turned on Stalin, the Bolshevik butcher rushed to the West for aid. Churchill and FDR hailed him in encomiums that would have made Pericles blush. At Yalta, Churchill rose to toast the butcher:

“I walk through this world with greater courage and hope when I find myself in a relation of friendship and intimacy with this great man, whose fame has gone out not only over all Russia, but the world. … We regard Marshal Stalin’s life as most precious to the hopes and hearts of all of us.”

Returning home, Churchill assured a skeptical Parliament, “I know of no Government which stands to its obligations, even in its own despite, more solidly than the Russian Soviet Government.”

George W. Bush, with the U.S. establishment united behind him, invaded Iraq with the goal of creating a Vermont in the Middle East that would be a beacon of democracy to the Arab and Islamic world.

Ex-Director of the NSA Gen. William Odom correctly called the U.S. invasion the greatest strategic blunder in American history. But Bush, un-chastened, went on to preach a crusade for democracy with the goal of “ending tyranny in our world.”

ORDER IT NOW

What is the root of these astounding beliefs — that Stalin would be a partner for peace, that if we built up Mao’s China she would become benign and benevolent, that we could reshape Islamic nations into replicas of Western democracies, that we could eradicate tyranny?

Today, we are replicating these historic follies.

After our victory in the Cold War, we not only plunged into the Middle East to remake it in our image, we issued war guarantees to every ex-member state of the Warsaw Pact, and threatened Russia with war if she ever intervened again in the Baltic Republics.

No Cold War president would have dreamed of issuing such an in-your-face challenge to a great nuclear power like Russia.

If Putin’s Russia does not become the pacifist nation it has never been, these guarantees will one day be called. And America will either back down — or face a nuclear confrontation.

Why would we risk something like this?

Consider this crazed ideology of free trade globalism with its roots in the scribblings of 19th-century idiot savants, not one of whom ever built a great nation.

Adhering religiously to free trade dogma, we have run up $12 trillion in trade deficits since Bush I. Our cities have been gutted by the loss of plants and factories. Workers’ wages have stagnated. The economic independence Hamilton sought and Republican presidents from Lincoln to McKinley achieved is history.

But the greatest risk we are taking, based on utopianism, is the annual importation of well over a million legal and illegal immigrants, many from the failed states of the Third World, in the belief we can create a united, peaceful and harmonious land of 400 million, composed of every race, religion, ethnicity, tribe, creed, culture and language on earth.

Where is the historic evidence for the success of this experiment, the failure of which could mean the end of America as one nation and one people?

Patrick J. Buchanan is the author of a new book, “Nixon’s White House Wars: The Battles That Made and Broke a President and Divided America Forever.”

    Pat Buchanan does not understand neoliberalism well and mixes apples with oranges, but the key idea expressed here stands:

    ” Consider this crazed ideology of free trade globalism with its roots in the scribblings of 19th-century idiot savants, not one of whom ever built a great nation. Adhering religiously to free trade dogma, we have run up $12 trillion in trade deficits since Bush I. Our cities have been gutted by the loss of plants and factories. Workers’ wages have stagnated. The economic independence Hamilton sought and Republican presidents from Lincoln to McKinley achieved is history.”

    The truth is that now Trump does not represent “Trumpism” — the movement that he created which includes the following:

    – rejection of neoliberal globalization;
    – rejection of unrestricted immigration;
    – fight against suppression of wages by multinationals via cheap imported labor;
    – fight against the elimination of meaningful, well-paying jobs via outsourcing and offshoring of manufacturing;
    – rejection of wars for enlargement and sustaining of neoliberal empire, especially NATO role as global policemen and wars for Washington client Israel in the Middle East;
    – détente with Russia;
    – more pragmatic relations with Israel and suppression of Israeli agents of influence;
    – revision of relations with China and addressing the problem of trade deficit.
    – rejection of total surveillance on all citizens;
    – the cut of military expenses to one third or less of the current level and concentrating on revival on national infrastructure, education, and science.
    – abandonment of maintenance of the “sole superpower” status and global neoliberal empire for more practical and less costly “semi-isolationist” foreign policy; closing of unnecessary foreign military bases and cutting aid to the current clients.

    Of course, the notion of “Trumpism” is fuzzy and different people might include some additional issues and disagree with some listed here, but the core probably remains.

    Of course, Trump is under relentless attack (coup d’état or, more precisely, a color revolution) of neoliberal fifth column, which includes Clinton gang, fifth column elements within his administration (Rosenstein, etc) as well from remnants of Obama administration (Brennan, Comey, Clapper) and associated elements within corresponding intelligence agencies. He probably was forced into some compromises just to survive. He also has members of the neoliberal fifth column within his family (Ivanka and Kushner).

    So the movement now is in deep need of a new leader.

    That's a good summary of what the public voted for and didn't get.

    And whether Trump has sold out, or was blackmailed or was a cynical manipulative liar for the beginning is really irrelevant. The fact is that he is not doing it - so he is just blocking the way.

    At some point the US public are going to have to forget about their "representatives" (Trump and Congress and the rest of them) and get out onto the street to make themselves heard. The population of the US is 323 million people and if just 1/2 of 1% (1,6 million) of them decided to visit Congress directly the US administration might get the message.

  3. “Xi Jinping just changed China’s constitution to allow him to be dictator for life”?

    Come, come, Pat. While American Presidents hire and fire their administrative teams, make war, pardon, imprison or assassinate enemies Chinese leaders, even Mao, are board chairmen only. They can set agenda and direct discussion but, ultimately, must follow to the votes of the seven-man Steering Committee, none of whom they chose or can dismiss–and virtually all Steering Committee decisions are unanimous.

    A little background might quieten the heavy breathing. America has term limits for the same reason the Chinese do: both countries’ governing elites found that their most capable leaders–Roosevelt and Mao–were sympathetic to ordinary citizens–who returned their affections.

    There are no ‘term limits’ in the CCP. The most-quoted rule of thumb for membership in the seven-man Politburo Standing Committee, the top collective leadership group from which General Secretaries are selected, is ‘seven up/eight down’: cadres up to 67 years can advance to the PSC and become general secretary and must otherwise retire: Deng Xiaoping creatively interpretated this principle of leadership renewal to get rid of his rival/nuisance at the time, 68-year-old Li Ruihuan.

    Deng then selected (or pre-positioned) every General Secretary prior to Xi–including Hu Jintao, who became general secretary in 2002, fifteen years after Deng died. But, though he was a close and loyal friend of Xi’s father, Deng did not select Xi, who will be 68 on June 15, 2021, a year before his second term ends.

    Xi must do a double job. Looking back, he must fulfill the goals Deng set in 1980: complete the Reform and Opening program–a 40-year overhaul of China’s economy–by 2020. Looking forward, he must ensure–as Deng did–that he formulates and launches the next 40-year program auspiciously, especially since it will be a return to China’s socialist roots.

    Xi never needed to ‘consolidate power’ nor has he needed to add to his Constitutional power since his accession. He was born famous, to one of China’s most beloved and admired men, his first job out of college was Assistant to the Secretary of Defense. He laid down a stellar, 25-year governance record, has always been famously honest (Lee Kwan Yew called him, “China’s Nelson Mandela” and immensely competent.

    Xi’s doing a stellar job, which make keeping him on a no-brainer: In his first term he raised all wages and pensions by 50%, made corruption unprofitable, made China militarily impregnable and launched the Belt and Road Initiative, among many other accomplishments.

    According to a recent World Values Survey, 96% of Chinese expressed confidence in their government (compared to 37% of Americans). Likewise, 83% of Chinese think their country is run for everyone’s benefit rather than for a few big interest groups (36% of Americans thought the same). http://www.wvsevsdb.com/wvs/WVSData.jsp?Idioma=I+(http://www.wvsevsdb.com/wvs/WVSData.jsp?Idioma=I)

    And according to the Edelman 2016 Report, 80–90% of Chinese trust their government, the highest trust level of any national government. https://www.slideshare.net/EdelmanAPAC/2016-edelman-trust-barometer-china-english?qid=c13f229d-8a8f-4a93-bce8-aeb779e8cc70&v=&b=&from_search=1 .

    When people are asked if they agree with the statement “most people can be trusted, “Chinese interpersonal trust is as high as Sweden’s. https://ourworldindata.org/trust

    According to the Pew Charitable Trusts, “Nine in ten Chinese are happy with the direction of their country (87%), feel good about the current state of their economy (91%) and are optimistic about China’s economic future (87%)”. http://www.pewglobal.org/database/indicator/3/

    In 1980 Deng Xiaoping set 2020 as the completion date for his Reform and Opening program–a 40-year overhaul of China’s economy.

    On June 1, 2021 President Xi will announce that all Deng’s goals have been reached and a basic xiaokang society established: no one is poor and everyone receives an education, has paid employment, more than enough food and clothing, access to medical services, old-age support, a home and a comfortable life. (No other country can make this claim).

    Singapore’s Lee Kwan Yew (who served for 30 years with no term limits!) described the primary responsibility of a government leader to “Paint his vision of the future to his people, translate that vision into policies which he must convince the people are worth supporting and, finally, galvanize them to help him implement them,”

    A month after becoming President, in 2012, Xi painted his vision for Two Centennials: to fix inequality (‘socialist modernization’) by 2012 and to transform China into ‘a great modern socialist country, prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious and beautiful’ by 2049.

    American Nobelist Robert Fogel says China will definitely be prosperous: its economy will be twice the size of Europe’s and America’s combined in 2049.

    Because he must paint China’s new vision, colleagues granted Xi ‘core leader’ status in 2017 and amended the constitution in 2018 so he and PM can serve another term and make sure the new era gets off to a good start.

    Xi Jinping just changed China’s constitution to allow him to be dictator for life.

    And how is that the US’ business? We have Supreme Court judges and oligarchs who are dictators for life, is that China’s business?

    He continues to thieve intellectual property from U.S. companies and to occupy and fortify islets in the South China Sea, which Beijing now claims as entirely its own.

    Hos exactly is it thieving when everyone who goes to China knows that will happen? It’s like claiming Facebook is “thieving” when it re-publishes your post. And so China claims some submerged rocks as islands. They have violated some arbitrary rule that something is an island depending on how many hours of the day it protrudes above water. The horror! The US, on the other hand, never takes a “creative” interpretation of laws. It never invades countries based on some fraudulent “duty to protect” or the like. No, let’s not worry about the destruction of Libya, Afghanistan or Iraq – let’s worry about some submerged rocks becoming islands! Thanks, Pat, for keeping perspective!

    Meanwhile, China sustains North Korea as Chinese warplanes and warships circumnavigate Taiwan threatening its independence.

    Meanwhile, US sustains Saudi Arabia, al Qaeda, ISIS, Israel and a whole host of other parasites and tyrants. And US warships are constantly not only threatening, but actually undermining, the independence of third countries (and, btw, Pat, in case you hadn’t noticed, China thinks, and has always thought, that Taiwan is part of China – I guess Taiwan is one of those secessions of which you arbitrarily approve and therefor convert into some self-righteous judgment?).

    We today confront a Chinese Communist dictatorship and superpower that seeks to displace America as first power on earth, and to drive the U.S. military back across the Pacific.

    So China cannot have its Monroe Doctrine? Why not? Did the Founding Fathers intend for the US to be an Empire that controls the oceans on the other side of the planet? I thought that’s what you cared about, Pat? Now I’m confused. What is your point?

    Who is responsible for this epochal blunder?

    Blunder? LOL. It’s no blunder, Pat, it’s all that it was meant to be. Wake up. Being a paleo-conservative does not mean being an actual Paleo.

  7. Biggest blunder in our lifetimes was not inviting Russia to join NATO, but I guess after years of anti-Russian propaganda the Neocons figured China would never be quite the bogeyman that we had built the Sovs into, big enough to keep the defense-dollars gravy-train flowing while we re-jiggered the mission to find another bogey man. Then, one day, we woke up and realised the Chicoms held enough of our debt to destroy us, while the Russians don’t, so we keep kicking at the old bogeyman.

    Taiwan Independence? Chiang Kai-skek is rolling in his grave! Chiang even refused to admit Outer Mongolia no longer a part of China despite the fact that his govt signed the independence deal.

    And credit the communists for claiming South China Sea islets? This is too much! Chiang is climbing out of his grave to slap you. One of the few things Chiang had done that did not harm China, and the author wants to steal that from him!

    And instead of pointing finger at China, you should get the f**k off Okinawa. Okinawa had a king in1879. Japan invaded and annexed the kingdom in1879, captured their king and imprisoned him in Tokyo.

    According to the Cairo Declaration and Potsdam Proclamation after WW2,
    “Japan will also be expelled from all other territories which she has taken by violence and greed. ” It’s long overdue to restore Okinawa to the independent country it was.

    The US elites are full of lies, no wonder their people are getting screwed by the elites.

    Good point about Okinawa, but I'm more concerned a bit closer to home. The US federal government owns and controls most of the territory west of the Mississippi River. Uncle Sam owns 85% of the land in Nevada.

    because unlike the cowardly, treasonous ZUS political whores and assorted remoras and opportunistic scum, Putin did wrest his nation’s destiny from the Fiend. And so now Russia, ironically enough, is the last bastion of defense from the slathering Rothschild beast out to murder the West, once and for all. Duh.

    OK, that’s the dumbest thing you’ve said yet.

    No one on this planet over the age of thirteen believes in the absurdity of a ‘united utopia’ of a Coke commercial. It is and always has been about destroying white society, and murdering off Western Civilization and its people. Duh, duh and duh!

    Only the stupidest imbecile on the planet believes that George Soros is pushing for massive immigration because he loves humanity and wants to see an utopia. Exactly the opposite is the case.. He’s pushing for the immigration because he’s ripped apart inside with a netherworld hatred for Western civilization and it’s (anti-Semitic) people. 22. Communism was but another interpretation of a belief in democracy, that neo-Viking fetish that is at the heart of all modernity. Ancient societies were built by literate wise men who studied what did and did not work over the long term in the past. Moses was said to have given us the laws that dominate religions of the West, and Confucius gave similar advice to China. This could never work in the long run with the Vikings, however, with their deeply ingrained “every warrior is equal” beliefs and their tradition of solving every issue with killings. This is why Western democracy and Christianity can only be maintained simultaneously for short periods by intellectual lightweights who do to see the contradictions.

    You cannot really have it both ways: either the laws are set by a literate wise man like Moses, who copied five of the ten commandments right out of the Egyptian Book of the Dead, or they are chosen by the people dancing around the golden calf. Wise literate men studying history write the laws or you simply poll everyone over the age of 18 or 21. These are two very different ways of deriving laws and making military decisions, and one is surely a more sane option for the long run. Putting basic choices into the hands of the people is simply to turn your world over to the rich who own the media. You are still having Jews make your choices, but not with the wisdom of Moses.

    According to the Cairo Declaration and Potsdam Proclamation after WW2,
    "Japan will also be expelled from all other territories which she has taken by violence and greed. " It's long overdue to restore Okinawa to the independent country it was.

    The US elites are full of lies, no wonder their people are getting screwed by the elites.

    And why do you complain about free trade? It's capitalism. The capitalists have always wanted free trades, even forced it with guns and cannons on other nations.

    IDK, RadicalC,

    The American culture is built on a worship of 'the almighty dollar'. From Dick Cheney of no-bid Halliburton to the Hip-hop thug wannabe on the street, they treat wealth as an end in itself.

    remember Martin Shkreli of Turing Pharmaceuticals?

    who bought the 'rights to sell Daraprim, a 62-year-old drug for a rare parasitic infection, and promptly raised the price from $13.50 to $750 per pill. The drug is the only approved treatment for toxoplasmosis, a disease that mainly strikes pregnant women, cancer patients and AIDS patients.'

    "No one wants to say it, no one's proud of it, but this is a capitalist society, a capitalist system and capitalist rules," he said in an interview at the Forbes Healthcare Summit this month. "And my investors expect me to maximize profits, not to minimize them or go half or go 70 percent but to go to 100 percent of the profit curve."

    What he did is not illegal. That kind of vulture capitalism is what makes a lot of fortunes, on Wall Street and beyond. Shkreli was simply brought down because he was 'in your face' about it all, and was becoming an embarrassment to the hedge fund crowd.

    In China, even the entrepreneurs think in terms of decades or even centuries, because they love China and consider it the nation of the Chinese, and so they want to create works that will reverberate though the generations, and benefit their wider society.

    Not so the ZUSA. Where businesses and trademarks are bought and sold willy-nilly, and there's almost no more name recognition, because as soon as Maytag gets a good reputation, it's sold to a scoundrel who immediately sets about building and selling crap, knowing people will buy it because of the name.

    How often do you buy something these days only to discover it's crap? How often do they use deception to peddle something to you? The other day I was buying some orange juice at the grocery store, and noticed the Tropicana orange juice was a little cheaper than the other brands, only to discover that it was orange juice 'drink', which even had some actual orange juice in it!

    But the deception wasn't just on the part of Tropicana, it was also the part of the corporate store chain, and the local managers.. all willing to deceive and cheat and lie- for a few extra dollars at bonus time, but at what price?

    I remember when General Motors and the Big Three had no foreign competition in the seventies, and built absolute crap to sell to the public. Say what you want about Ralph Nader, but he was right about the Corvair. It could have been a decent ride, but they skimped on the engineering to bolster profits. Knowing that they were compromising safety.

    But then why should they care? Who was ever held to account?

    When the Deepwater Horizon exploded and 11 men lost their lives, due directly to the negligence of blind greed, who went to jail?

    When Wall Street used liar loans and the ratings agencies cooked their books to hand out AAA ratings to sub-prime turds, who went to jail for all of that massive fraud, and the collapse of the global economy?

    It was greed on acid, with 'synthetic, collateralized, default swaps', CDOs and CDS's, and all kinds of schemes to defraud and loot, with zero accountability. Just have the tax-slave come in and bail them all out, (again, -and again and again and again...)

    Carried interest allows the wealthy to pay less taxes than the janitor or plumber.

    Big Tobacco and Big Oil get subsidies from the fecal government.

    Hollywood and Goldman Sachs get subsidies, while the working class get eviscerated by payroll taxes and sales taxes and state income taxes and a thousand other fees and taxes on their phone bills or utility bills or the gasoline pump.

    It's a pig fuck of greed and unaccountability. And it permeates from the top down, until it effects everyone in society, at least at some level.

    So very long ago, I remember reading Herman Melville's Moby Dick, and I remember being struck at how he was describing the slaughter of so many whales, (to the point where many were nearly wiped out), but to justify it all there were all these spectacular mansions in New England!

    The wealth that was acquired by the whaling was for Melville, a triumph in and of itself. All the justification needed for any who wondered at the virtue of the mass-commercial slaughter of these leviathans.

    Not all the people it fed or societal progress, but rather the fabulous wealth of a tiny few.

    So I feel like our materialism runs deep, and is a false god.

    Money is a great thing to have, and I don't advocate poverty, but there is a poverty of the spirit when you worship money (especially to the exclusion of other things), like I see so many doing here in the good ol' ZUS of A.

    Capitalism has left us all with Rothschild in control. Communism is worse, but we get that too, because Rothschild plays both ends of the spectrum, and profits from all sides.

    Basically what it seems like to me is what they got in Russia when the wall came down and the Soviet system collapsed. Right away they turned from communist to capitalist, and right away every American media outlet and talking head were all dazzled by the fantastic wealth of the "Russian" oligarchs, who were so wealthy and sexy with the world's most extravagant yachts, and such.

    No one cared how they got the money, it was enough that they had it. Just like when you hear people talking about Goldman Sachs, and it's usually with a sort of reverential (if cynical) envy for those 'smart guys', who make so much money!

  30. Unfortunately the Chinese will allow the US to bully them in their own backyard with North Korea. Imagine if the Chinese decided, unilaterally, that the US could no longer trade with Jamaica and enforced it at gunpoint.

    The US wouldn’t stand for it and if the Chinese were a nation of men, neither would they.

    I’m sick to death of the toxic influence of the US and I wish someone would stand up to them but alas, no one can, so I guess we’re stuck with ZOG for the foreseeable future.

    China couldn't be made to back down in 1931 when Japan invaded, nor in 1950 when non-Koreans crossed the 38th parallel. They suffered ginormous casualties in both instances, but refused to concede.

    They were dirt poor in 1931 (African level practically), and even poorer (way below Ethiopia level) in 1950 after 18+ years of non-stop warfare.

    They're certainly not going to be bullied any time soon

    Pat Buchanan does not understand neoliberalism well and mixes apples with oranges, but the key idea expressed here stands:

    " Consider this crazed ideology of free trade globalism with its roots in the scribblings of 19th-century idiot savants, not one of whom ever built a great nation. Adhering religiously to free trade dogma, we have run up $12 trillion in trade deficits since Bush I. Our cities have been gutted by the loss of plants and factories. Workers’ wages have stagnated. The economic independence Hamilton sought and Republican presidents from Lincoln to McKinley achieved is history."

    The truth is that now Trump does not represent "Trumpism" -- the movement that he created which includes the following:

    -- rejection of neoliberal globalization;
    -- rejection of unrestricted immigration;
    -- fight against suppression of wages by multinationals via cheap imported labor;
    -- fight against the elimination of meaningful, well-paying jobs via outsourcing and offshoring of manufacturing;
    -- rejection of wars for enlargement and sustaining of neoliberal empire, especially NATO role as global policemen and wars for Washington client Israel in the Middle East;
    -- détente with Russia;
    -- more pragmatic relations with Israel and suppression of Israeli agents of influence;
    -- revision of relations with China and addressing the problem of trade deficit.
    -- rejection of total surveillance on all citizens;
    -- the cut of military expenses to one third or less of the current level and concentrating on revival on national infrastructure, education, and science.
    -- abandonment of maintenance of the "sole superpower" status and global neoliberal empire for more practical and less costly "semi-isolationist" foreign policy; closing of unnecessary foreign military bases and cutting aid to the current clients.

    Of course, the notion of "Trumpism" is fuzzy and different people might include some additional issues and disagree with some listed here, but the core probably remains.

    Of course, Trump is under relentless attack (coup d'état or, more precisely, a color revolution) of neoliberal fifth column, which includes Clinton gang, fifth column elements within his administration (Rosenstein, etc) as well from remnants of Obama administration (Brennan, Comey, Clapper) and associated elements within corresponding intelligence agencies. He probably was forced into some compromises just to survive. He also has members of the neoliberal fifth column within his family (Ivanka and Kushner).

    So the movement now is in deep need of a new leader.

    That’s a good summary of what the public voted for and didn’t get.

    And whether Trump has sold out, or was blackmailed or was a cynical manipulative liar for the beginning is really irrelevant. The fact is that he is not doing it – so he is just blocking the way.

    At some point the US public are going to have to forget about their “representatives” (Trump and Congress and the rest of them) and get out onto the street to make themselves heard. The population of the US is 323 million people and if just 1/2 of 1% (1,6 million) of them decided to visit Congress directly the US administration might get the message.

    The delusion of the Western man is that he see things through group affiliations rather than the things itself. A good example is that if a person is a Christian, then automatically the person is moral and righteousness, otherwise he/she is not. Same principle applies to how the Western man look at countries. If the country is a multiparty system , then automatically the country is good and holy, otherwise it is not.

    How so? Battlefield deaths resulting from operation Barbarossa don't count. Stalin was murdering in peacetime and in wartimea and then again after the war.

    It was Stalin's policy that retreating Soviet troops be machine gunned and shelled per order no. 227 in 1942. Order no. 270 stipulated that Soviet troops who were captured and ever returned to Russia were to be treated as traitors and executed. These policies killed somewhere on the order of 150,000 Russian soldiers.

    No leader in any Western capital cared an iota about the internal domestic policies in any other country.

    It was not murder that got Hitler (but not Stalin) on the shit-list - it was that Hitler was attempting to violently and abruptly overturn the international order via outright warfare, whereas Stalin had put off the project of global socialist revolution for the future.

    His priority was the Soviet Union, and left it to his successors to foment international revolution - and so was far less threatening.

    If Hitler had confined himself to building a "pure society" in Germany and nowhere else, the worst that the West could have done was to treat him as the media treats Putin today. And we all know the Western media in the end can't do sh*t against Russia.

  36. Ultimately, Western man’s (ie. white people’s) delusion is rooted in moral universalism – the impulse to “love the Tartars so as to be spared having to love his own neighbors,” to quote Rousseau. This deracinated, globalized lunacy can be traced all the way back to Voltaire and the classical liberals. The globalist, cosmopolitan “cuck” of his day, Voltaire worshipped the stock exchange, and marveled at how different races and religions could engage in commerce together. He also supported despots like Catherine the Great imposing liberal modernity on the Poles and other peoples at gunpoint.

    Long story short, classical liberalism basically destroyed traditions and identity in the name of a universal, commercial civilization; so if you’re wondering why we launch stupid wars in the name of “democracy,” celebrate free trade (or over at wonk sites like Vox, take pride in the global poor’s rising standard of living. Really, why should we care about the well-being of random Chinese people?), and nonsensically believe that humans are interchangeable – and that America can become “100% Chinese and still be America” – then blame classical liberalism.

    Not just modern, post-1960 liberalism, but liberalism, period. To channel James Burnham, it really is the ideology of Western suicide. It’s a failed experiment advanced by a minority of pretentious technocrats and businessmen.

    Xi Jinping just changed China’s constitution to allow him to be dictator for life.

    And how is that the US' business? We have Supreme Court judges and oligarchs who are dictators for life, is that China's business?

    He continues to thieve intellectual property from U.S. companies and to occupy and fortify islets in the South China Sea, which Beijing now claims as entirely its own.

    Hos exactly is it thieving when everyone who goes to China knows that will happen? It's like claiming Facebook is "thieving" when it re-publishes your post. And so China claims some submerged rocks as islands. They have violated some arbitrary rule that something is an island depending on how many hours of the day it protrudes above water. The horror! The US, on the other hand, never takes a "creative" interpretation of laws. It never invades countries based on some fraudulent "duty to protect" or the like. No, let's not worry about the destruction of Libya, Afghanistan or Iraq - let's worry about some submerged rocks becoming islands!

And US warships are constantly not only threatening, but actually undermining, the independence of third countries (and, btw, Pat, in case you hadn't noticed, China thinks, and has always thought, that Taiwan is part of China - I guess Taiwan is one of those secessions of which you arbitrarily approve and therefor convert into some self-righteous judgment?).

I thought that's what you cared about, Pat? Now I'm confused. What is your point?

    Who is responsible for this epochal blunder?

    Blunder? LOL. It's no blunder, Pat, it's all that it was meant to be. Wake up. Being a paleo-conservative does not mean being an actual Paleo.

    opening of U.S. markets would cause the People’s Republic to coexist benignly with its neighbors and the West.

    We deluded ourselves. It did not happen.

    nobody deluded themselves, because it was never about creating a democracy in China. What utter balderdash.

    It was and is all about greed. Corporate greed for Chinese markets. And Republican eagerness to betray middle America to serve their elite base, who if anything, despise middle America.

    We today confront a Chinese Communist dictatorship and superpower that seeks to displace America as first power on earth, and to drive the U.S. military back across the Pacific.

    good!

    somebody needs to confront the zio-Fiend and put an end to its serial depravities and Eternal Wars (for Israel)

    Who is responsible for this epochal blunder?

    who is that with Chairman Mao?

    http://www.ladybud.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/NixonMao.png

    We fed the tiger, and created a monster.

    Why? What is in the mind of Western man that our leaders continue to adopt policies rooted in hopes unjustified by reality?

    greed is why. Greed is rooted in the soul of American culture, and our corrupt politicians are only too happy to accommodate the greedy scum for campaign cash. Duh.

    George W. Bush, with the U.S. establishment united behind him, invaded Iraq with the goal of creating a Vermont in the Middle East that would be a beacon of democracy to the Arab and Islamic world.

    Buchanan knows this is utter horseshit, but he's mocking the people who still parrot this idiocy.

    We went into Iraq for the same reason we went into Libya and Syria and all the rest. To destroy nations inconvenient to Israel's agenda of terrorizing and dominating the entire region. Duh.

    What is the root of these astounding beliefs — that Stalin would be a partner for peace, that if we built up Mao’s China she would become benign and benevolent, that we could reshape Islamic nations into replicas of Western democracies, that we could eradicate tyranny?

    as if you didn't know Pat.

    we allied with Stalin because communist Jews in our government and media wanted us to, in order to destroy Germany in particular, and impose Soviet genocide and slavery on the rest. Zionist/communist Jews (who control our federal government and institutions) liked Stalin, and what he did to the Ukrainians and others, and because Woodrow Wilson gave them the keys to our Treasury- America (and Canada and Europe, et al) now dances to their tune. Duh

    Today, we are replicating these historic follies.

    has anyone gotten the keys to our Treasury back from Rothschild and his cabal? And returned ownership of our media and institutions back to American-firsters?

    No?

    then why would you expect anything different from our trajectory of murdering off Western Civilization? Including of course the ZUSA.

    face a nuclear confrontation.

    Why would we risk something like this?

    because unlike the cowardly, treasonous ZUS political whores and assorted remoras and opportunistic scum, Putin did wrest his nation's destiny from the Fiend. And so now Russia, ironically enough, is the last bastion of defense from the slathering Rothschild beast out to murder the West, once and for all. Duh.

    Adhering religiously to free trade dogma, we have run up $12 trillion in trade deficits since Bush I. Our cities have been gutted by the loss of plants and factories. Workers’ wages have stagnated. The economic independence Hamilton sought and Republican presidents from Lincoln to McKinley achieved is history.

    http://truthfeed.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/david-rockefeller-nwo.jpg

    But the greatest risk we are taking, based on utopianism, is the annual importation of well over a million legal and illegal immigrants, many from the failed states of the Third World, in the belief we can create a united, peaceful and harmonious land of 400 million, composed of every race, religion, ethnicity, tribe, creed, culture and language on earth.

    OK, that's the dumbest thing you've said yet.

    No one on this planet over the age of thirteen believes in the absurdity of a 'united utopia' of a Coke commercial. It is and always has been about destroying white society, and murdering off Western Civilization and its people. Duh, duh and duh!

    Envy and butt-hurt are powerful (if malignant) forces in the human psyche, and buried deep in the id of the Jewish supremacists and their armies of butt-hurt, angry, 'identity politics' orcs, they dream of America turned into one big Ukrainian famine, with the hated Kulaks, (white Americans) paying for all that pent up rage/envy/butt-hurt.

    Only the stupidest imbecile on the planet believes that George Soros is pushing for massive immigration because he loves humanity and wants to see an utopia. Exactly the opposite is the case.. He's pushing for the immigration because he's ripped apart inside with a netherworld hatred for Western civilization and it's (anti-Semitic) people. Especially Hungary, where he'd like to be a modern day Bela Kun.

    Where is the historic evidence for the success of this experiment, the failure of which could mean the end of America as one nation and one people?

    one nation and one people?

    you mean racist white people, and a racist white culture! Don't you Mr. Pat Buchanan?!

    and the sooner the ((marxists)) and their orcs drive that evil, racist anti-Semitic, so-called civilization off the planet, the better!!!

    Hitler was defending nothing. A poor leader especially from 1938 forward, who was used like a tool
    by the Western elites. He made so many mistakes, its a disgrace people think he was a good guy.

    Murdering millions of Slavics thousands of kilometers from home is not defense. Murdering Catholic priests is not defense.
    Hitler didnt even do anything significant against the big Jews.

    All he did was bark, while sending millions of Germans to their deaths in a war they couldnt win.
    Look at the aftermath of Hitlers "awesome" results today.

    Stalin executed all the "world revolution" types before WW2 started.

    -- rejection of neoliberal globalization;
    -- rejection of unrestricted immigration;
    -- fight against suppression of wages by multinationals via cheap imported labor;
    -- fight against the elimination of meaningful, well-paying jobs via outsourcing and offshoring of manufacturing;
    -- rejection of wars for enlargement and sustaining of neoliberal empire, especially NATO role as global policemen and wars for Washington client Israel in the Middle East;
    -- détente with Russia;
    -- more pragmatic relations with Israel and suppression of Israeli agents of influence;
    -- revision of relations with China and addressing the problem of trade deficit.
    -- rejection of total surveillance on all citizens;

    Take it elsewhere.

    "Xi Jinping just changed China’s constitution to allow him to be dictator for life"?

    Come, come, Pat. While American Presidents hire and fire their administrative teams, make war, pardon, imprison or assassinate enemies Chinese leaders, even Mao, are board chairmen only. They can set agenda and direct discussion but, ultimately, must follow to the votes of the seven-man Steering Committee, none of whom they chose or can dismiss–and virtually all Steering Committee decisions are unanimous.

    A little background might quieten the heavy breathing. America has term limits for the same reason the Chinese do: both countries' governing elites found that their most capable leaders–Roosevelt and Mao–were sympathetic to ordinary citizens–who returned their affections.

    There are no 'term limits' in the CCP.

Looking forward, he must ensure–as Deng did–that he formulates and launches the next 40-year program auspiciously, especially since it will be a return to China's socialist roots.

    Xi never needed to 'consolidate power' nor has he needed to add to his Constitutional power since his accession. He was born famous, to one of China's most beloved and admired men, his first job out of college was Assistant to the Secretary of Defense. He laid down a stellar, 25-year governance record, has always been famously honest (Lee Kwan Yew called him, "China's Nelson Mandela" and immensely competent.

    Xi's doing a stellar job, which make keeping him on a no-brainer: In his first term he raised all wages and pensions by 50%, made corruption unprofitable, made China militarily impregnable and launched the Belt and Road Initiative, among many other accomplishments.

    According to a recent World Values Survey, 96% of Chinese expressed confidence in their government (compared to 37% of Americans). Likewise, 83% of Chinese think their country is run for everyone’s benefit rather than for a few big interest groups (36% of Americans thought the same). http://www.wvsevsdb.com/wvs/WVSData.jsp?Idioma=I+(http://www.wvsevsdb.com/wvs/WVSData.jsp?Idioma=I)

    And according to the Edelman 2016 Report, 80–90% of Chinese trust their government, the highest trust level of any national government. https://www.slideshare.net/EdelmanAPAC/2016-edelman-trust-barometer-china-english?qid=c13f229d-8a8f-4a93-bce8-aeb779e8cc70&v=&b=&from_search=1 .

    When people are asked if they agree with the statement "most people can be trusted, "Chinese interpersonal trust is as high as Sweden's. https://ourworldindata.org/trust

    According to the Pew Charitable Trusts, “Nine in ten Chinese are happy with the direction of their country (87%), feel good about the current state of their economy (91%) and are optimistic about China’s economic future (87%)". http://www.pewglobal.org/database/indicator/3/

    American Nobelist Robert Fogel says China will definitely be prosperous: its economy will be twice the size of Europe’s and America's combined in 2049.

    Because he must paint China’s new vision, colleagues granted Xi ‘core leader’ status in 2017 and amended the constitution in 2018 so he and PM can serve another term and make sure the new era gets off to a good start.

    What a bloomin’ ‘ero! Let’s make him POTUS, too!

  51. Great article, but the alt-right is still under the delusion that we should leave Asia to the Chinese and get our own house in order. Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. Do white people really benefit if China becomes the Hegemon in Asia, takes over Africa, undermines Russia via One Belt One Road, creates deep ties with Latin America (goodbye Monroe Doctrine!), and buys up infrastructure throughout Europe? The world is a dog-eat-dog competition for top dog.

    China is 1.4 billion people with an average IQ of 105, nursing various historical grievances, and quite united. They were the leading civilization on the planet for most of history before the industrial revolution. Good luck taking that on white people if you can’t see beyond kicking out brown immigrants from the West.

    There is no coherent response to the China threat from the alt-right.

    Also, all food was removed during the retreat in a ‘scorched earth’ strategy.

    Western (white) man has so many fatal delusions about so many things that I can’t keep up anymore. That’s what happens when (((they))) control our media, schools and universities.

    Our manufacturing sector busting free trade policies were supposed to foster good will with China and Mexico and turn the former from Maoist hardliners into shiftless, pot smoking, Murray Rothbard reading libertardians. It was supposed to create a thriving middle class in Mexico and discourage them from illegally crossing our southern border. It was supposed to strengthen the already strong U.S. middle class with higher paying, higher technology jobs. None of that happened and we were had.

    Race doesn’t matterism has been in vogue among whites. But race matters to every racial group except whites although whitey does seem to be awakening from this fatal delusion albeit not as fast as I’d like.

    Civic nationalism is the latest delusion of the white man. A combination of the right sales pitch combined with 3-5% quarterly economic growth is supposed to transform tribalistic and antagonistic blacks, Latinos, Asians and Muslims into flag waving Americans who eschew race, tribe and religion and embrace economic determinism just as much as the white man.

    Where is the historic evidence for the success of this experiment, the failure of which could mean the end of America as one nation and one people?

    It doesn’t exist, but for a white person to point out the dangers of mass third world immigration make he/she a racist, white supremacist, anti-semite and Islamophobe and subject to doxxing and other punitive measures designed to economically ruin us. Welcome to “free and equal” America

    What should we care who presides over the Chinese state? Do they get a say over who lives in the White House? The build up of Chinese industry at the expense of American jobs happened with more than the passive acquiescence of the American oligarchy, which invested trillions in new plants over there. The consequences were surely predictable and must have been foreseen by America’s ruling class. Be careful of what you wish for is probably the correct analysis here. The West taught the rest of the world neoliberal capitalism, why complain that they may, in fact, be better at it than we are?

    As to the kvetching about Russia, that’s a different can of worms but also entirely of OUR own making. Most of the lands stripped from Moscow’s jurisdiction after the collapse of the USSR were part of Imperial Russia and under the rule of the czars for a longer time than the United States has even existed as a sovereign nation. Be thankful they have not been the slightest aggressive in trying to reclaim places like Ukraine which was, in fact, the wellspring of Russian history and culture. It is sheer arrogance on the part of America to think they can just casually, without any consequences, fleece Russia of these appendages.

    If America had honestly tried to help Russia re-create its economy after the collapse of the USSR instead of attempting to rape it, and if it didn’t persist in trying to stomp on Russia’s throat by inciting coups in places like Georgia, Syria and Ukraine, perhaps American big business would still be welcomed to help Russia develop and sell its many natural resources just waiting to be exploited in Siberia and desperately coveted by the rest of the world. Instead of being sold to the West, they will now be going to China, as Russia has been driven into Chinese arms by the totally idiotic, self-destructive policies of the morons from both parties in Washington. Our leaders have chosen foolishly every time when it comes to foreign policy for at least the last half century. (I didn’t even hint at all the mistakes made by putting Israel’s priorities over our own interests. It would take a month’s worth of essays to do justice to the topic.)

    Recall. Stalin was a murderous tyrant unrivaled in history whose victims in 1939 were 1,000 times those of Adolf Hitler, with whom he eagerly partnered in return for the freedom to rape the Baltic States and bite off half of Poland.

    Hitler killed more than Stalin in a much shorter time. There is no reason to believe 40-66 million figures for Stalin. (and I am antiCommunist btw). Ive read all the studies, Rummel, Solhenitsyn and others who claim those numbers too. Now look up 20 more experts and there numbers are all lower.

    Although yes up to 1939 Stalin had killed far more.

    No leader in any Western capital cared an iota about the internal domestic policies in any other country.

    It was not murder that got Hitler (but not Stalin) on the shit-list – it was that Hitler was attempting to violently and abruptly overturn the international order via outright warfare, whereas Stalin had put off the project of global socialist revolution for the future.

    His priority was the Soviet Union, and left it to his successors to foment international revolution – and so was far less threatening.

    If Hitler had confined himself to building a “pure society” in Germany and nowhere else, the worst that the West could have done was to treat him as the media treats Putin today. And we all know the Western media in the end can’t do sh*t against Russia.

    Communists murdered over 100m people in the 20th century. Next to that, anything right-wingers did is a distant second, at best.

    Relatively speaking the Mongols probably outdid them both; they murdered between 9 and 12 percent of the Old World’s population.

    Then there are the Hutus, who murdered Tutsis at a far higher rate than the Nazis did Jews. Relatively speaking, the Rwandan Genocide was worse than the holocaust (if you’re an adherent of the delusion of human group equality, anyway).

    Nazis don’t hold the top spot for anything but Jew-killing and “most hated by Big Media and the Jews,” two rather intertwined categories.

    And it’s worth repeating (sorta like holocaust movies) that 1 commies started the mega-murder and violent revolutions, and 2 commies murdered their own people.

    According to the Cairo Declaration and Potsdam Proclamation after WW2,
    "Japan will also be expelled from all other territories which she has taken by violence and greed.

    Good point about Okinawa, but I’m more concerned a bit closer to home. The US federal government owns and controls most of the territory west of the Mississippi River. Uncle Sam owns 85% of the land in Nevada.

    What should we care who presides over the Chinese state? Do they get a say over who lives in the White House? The build up of Chinese industry at the expense of American jobs happened with more than the passive acquiescence of the American oligarchy, which invested trillions in new plants over there. The consequences were surely predictable and must have been foreseen by America's ruling class. Be careful of what you wish for is probably the correct analysis here. The West taught the rest of the world neoliberal capitalism, why complain that they may, in fact, be better at it than we are?

    As to the kvetching about Russia, that's a different can of worms but also entirely of OUR own making. Most of the lands stripped from Moscow's jurisdiction after the collapse of the USSR were part of Imperial Russia and under the rule of the czars for a longer time than the United States has even existed as a sovereign nation. Be thankful they have not been the slightest aggressive in trying to reclaim places like Ukraine which was, in fact, the wellspring of Russian history and culture. It is sheer arrogance on the part of America to think they can just casually, without any consequences, fleece Russia of these appendages.

    If America had honestly tried to help Russia re-create its economy after the collapse of the USSR instead of attempting to rape it, and if it didn't persist in trying to stomp on Russia's throat by inciting coups in places like Georgia, Syria and Ukraine, perhaps American big business would still be welcomed to help Russia develop and sell its many natural resources just waiting to be exploited in Siberia and desperately coveted by the rest of the world. Instead of being sold to the West, they will now be going to China, as Russia has been driven into Chinese arms by the totally idiotic, self-destructive policies of the morons from both parties in Washington. Our leaders have chosen foolishly every time when it comes to foreign policy for at least the last half century. (I didn't even hint at all the mistakes made by putting Israel's priorities over our own interests. It would take a month's worth of essays to do justice to the topic.)

    All right, the actual fdi from US--->China was "only" about $725 billion (not trillion) between 2000-2016. (https://www.statista.com/statistics/188629/united-states-direct-investments-in-china-since-2000/) Assume investment did not drop in 2017 and the numbers since 2000 easily exceed $800 billion, which is not just chow mein and still makes the point that American oligarchs deliberately chose to build GM cars, Apple smart phones, and a whole bunch of other crap in China (Walmart has been doing this since the 80's) rather than in the U.S. strictly to increase their profit margin, American workers be damned. Now those unemployed workers can't afford to buy the Chinese manufactured goods American capitalists want to sell them. I'm sure you are proud of all the steel, aluminum, high-speed rail and electricity you crank out, but frankly, what does that have to do with the price of tea in China? It's great for you, but doesn't address the problem I posed, which is what got Trump elected. American oligarchs would sell their grandma if it meant greater short term profits. Nothing I said was meant as a rap on China (why wouldn't you accept American money and deals if offered to you?). However, don't ignore that the main reason China has the money to invest in all those domestic projects you gloat about is from the profits realised in its trade with the U.S. and other developed countries. If a succession of American presidents starting with Nixon didn't give you basically free trade with America, either none of that happens or it happens on a much slower time course. Somehow Germany has been able to retain its robust manufacturing base in the face of even higher overheads than America confronts, suggesting the American oligarchs didn't have to sell out, they wanted to, in their mad dash to corral as many rapidly inflating "hot-off-the-press" petro dollars as possible.

    Great article, but the alt-right is still under the delusion that we should leave Asia to the Chinese and get our own house in order. Unfortunately, it's not that simple.

Good luck taking that on white people if you can't see beyond kicking out brown immigrants from the West.

    There is no coherent response to the China threat from the alt-right.

    redpillindian.blogspot.com

    Quite right, RPI.

    My children are learning Mandarin. That tells you something about my LACK of confidence in the West’s willingness and ability to prevent China from becoming the clear dominant economic, military, and eventually cultural power on earth.

    A very good article. Bang on about the west’s insane immigration policies. I would say though that Stalin did not “rush to the west for aid after Hitler turned on him”. In fact the opposite was the case. Churchill and very soon afterward FDR immediately began giving him enormous amounts of supplies without any conditions being put on it at all. They also assumed the burden of transferring all this massive aid to the USSR all on their own. Stalin often commented on what chumps the two western countries were.

    Nor should we care about Taiwan or a few islets in the South China sea. We shouldn’t be in this area of the world at all to begin with.

    As to why we make these mistakes it is the same reason we have such bad immigration. The failure to recognize racial and cultural differences between different human beings.

But I don’t blame ya. You are quite similar to them in very many ways. Now that the zionists are kowtowing with you guys in India, you’ll soon form a very tight bond (mark my words) since you already identify with them. It took almost 150 years from the late 17th century all the way to the late 19th century for them to corrupt Christian thought in America (courtesy the scofield reference bible written by a charlatan). In your case it’ll take a decade or two!!

    Greed is rooted in every culture, Rurik, not only or more so in ours. But I concur in your comment otherwise.

    Greed is rooted in every culture, Rurik, not only or more so in ours.

    IDK, RadicalC,

    The American culture is built on a worship of ‘the almighty dollar’. From Dick Cheney of no-bid Halliburton to the Hip-hop thug wannabe on the street, they treat wealth as an end in itself.

    remember Martin Shkreli of Turing Pharmaceuticals?

    who bought the ‘rights to sell Daraprim, a 62-year-old drug for a rare parasitic infection, and promptly raised the price from $13.50 to $750 per pill. The drug is the only approved treatment for toxoplasmosis, a disease that mainly strikes pregnant women, cancer patients and AIDS patients.’

    “No one wants to say it, no one’s proud of it, but this is a capitalist society, a capitalist system and capitalist rules,” he said in an interview at the Forbes Healthcare Summit this month. “And my investors expect me to maximize profits, not to minimize them or go half or go 70 percent but to go to 100 percent of the profit curve.”

    What he did is not illegal. That kind of vulture capitalism is what makes a lot of fortunes, on Wall Street and beyond. Shkreli was simply brought down because he was ‘in your face’ about it all, and was becoming an embarrassment to the hedge fund crowd.

    In China, even the entrepreneurs think in terms of decades or even centuries, because they love China and consider it the nation of the Chinese, and so they want to create works that will reverberate though the generations, and benefit their wider society.

    Not so the ZUSA. Where businesses and trademarks are bought and sold willy-nilly, and there’s almost no more name recognition, because as soon as Maytag gets a good reputation, it’s sold to a scoundrel who immediately sets about building and selling crap, knowing people will buy it because of the name.

    How often do you buy something these days only to discover it’s crap? How often do they use deception to peddle something to you? The other day I was buying some orange juice at the grocery store, and noticed the Tropicana orange juice was a little cheaper than the other brands, only to discover that it was orange juice ‘drink’, which even had some actual orange juice in it!

    But the deception wasn’t just on the part of Tropicana, it was also the part of the corporate store chain, and the local managers.. all willing to deceive and cheat and lie- for a few extra dollars at bonus time, but at what price?

    It was greed on acid, with ‘synthetic, collateralized, default swaps’, CDOs and CDS’s, and all kinds of schemes to defraud and loot, with zero accountability. Just have the tax-slave come in and bail them all out, (again, -and again and again and again…)

    It’s a pig fuck of greed and unaccountability. And it permeates from the top down, until it effects everyone in society, at least at some level.

    So very long ago, I remember reading Herman Melville’s Moby Dick, and I remember being struck at how he was describing the slaughter of so many whales, (to the point where many were nearly wiped out), but to justify it all there were all these spectacular mansions in New England!

    Money is a great thing to have, and I don’t advocate poverty, but there is a poverty of the spirit when you worship money (especially to the exclusion of other things), like I see so many doing here in the good ol’ ZUS of A.

    Capitalism has left us all with Rothschild in control. Communism is worse, but we get that too, because Rothschild plays both ends of the spectrum, and profits from all sides.

    Basically what it seems like to me is what they got in Russia when the wall came down and the Soviet system collapsed. Right away they turned from communist to capitalist, and right away every American media outlet and talking head were all dazzled by the fantastic wealth of the “Russian” oligarchs, who were so wealthy and sexy with the world’s most extravagant yachts, and such.

    No one cared how they got the money, it was enough that they had it. Just like when you hear people talking about Goldman Sachs, and it’s usually with a sort of reverential (if cynical) envy for those ‘smart guys’, who make so much money!

    Well, my Slavic brutha, I have a hard time arguing with anything you pointed out. Depressing to see it all laid out in one place.

    I have no illusions that we are not being screwed on a sustained basis by the government & large corporations alike, and agree that the pharmaceutical examples are immoral gouging.

    The pharma companies and their shareholders (which include many of us through our retirement and non-retirement investment accounts) must make a regular profit, yes, but when is enough enough?

    Maybe you are right that Chinese businessmen typically think longer term and actually care about their own ethnic kin. I'm skeptical. Well, we live in a heavily Chinese neighborhood and our kids are in a Mandarin program with about a 50% Chinese class composition, so I guess we can just ask some of 'em for their impressions.

    But I can see that many of our largest corporate powers do NOT give a damn about us or our nation, and it's getting worse rather than better. I just don't think that the great mass of actual Americans are greedier than most people elsewhere.

    who bought the 'rights to sell Daraprim, a 62-year-old drug for a rare parasitic infection, and promptly raised the price from $13.50 to $750 per pill.

I’m skeptical. Well, we live in a heavily Chinese neighborhood and our kids are in a Mandarin program with about a 50% Chinese class composition, so I guess we can just ask some of ‘em for their impressions.

    But I can see that many of our largest corporate powers do NOT give a damn about us or our nation, and it’s getting worse rather than better. I just don’t think that the great mass of actual Americans are greedier than most people elsewhere.

    I wish that were the case RadicalC,

    Rather, I suspect that they very much give a damn, because many of them are consumed with a visceral hatred for Heritage America. I don't have to list them, we all know who the ((people)) at our media corporations or Wall Street are, at the top anyways. We all know who Sheldon Adelson is and Soros, and these guys don't take a breath that isn't feculent with animus for America's founding stock. (Slavs very much included in that lot! Nikola Tesla was Serbian / Croatian. ; )

    Anyways, I can only imagine how less dire things would be if only they didn't give a damn about us, and just wanted to loot us all for the money. But alas, they're literally driven insane merely by our existence. And not just the money boyz, but also many of the Gentile elites as well, whose appetites set them apart from Heritage America / Western civilization and its traditional values.

    Think the Vatican or the British aristocracy.

    Men who rape boys are coddled by the ((PTB)) today. The ((dean)) of the university where Jerry Sandusky was a known serial rapist used his power to facilitate the assaults.

    If only they didn't give a damn about us, (and our children). If only!

    I just don’t think that the great mass of actual Americans are greedier than most people elsewhere.

    Not congenitally, or even endemically. But there is a rot in the fundamental fabric of our social contract. Consumerism and materialism have been hallowed as the great and ignoble engine of our economy- and the sacrosanct growing prosperity of the 1%. So they infuse worship of Mammon into the general culture, with paeans to bling, and vapid tropes to wealth.

    Our national heroes are JayZ and Warren Buffet. Bill Gates and Bezos.

    Henry Ford actually was a great man and great American, but now he's reviled as just another one of those dead white men from America's racist and evil past.

    Culture is where the soul is expressed and fount of our national aspirations. And the contemporary American culture has been rendered so cra$$ by the ((media)) and our institutions, that it's more like a leaky sewer than a temple to the human spirit.

    btw, a nice quote this morning on WRH

    "It is the greatest power on earth; and it is arrayed against Labour. No other power that is or ever was can be named with it... it attacks us through the Press - a monster with a thousand lying tongues, a beast surpassing in foulness any conceived by the mythology that invented dragons, were wolves, harpies, ghouls and vampires. It thunders against us from innumerable platforms and ,Yes, so far as we are concerned, the headquarters of the Money Power is Britain. But the Money Power is not a British institution; it is cosmopolitan. It is of no nationality, but of all nationalities. It dominates the world. The Money Power has corrupted the faculties of the human soul, and tampered with the sanity of the human intellect... Editorial from 1907 edition of The Brisbane Worker (Australia)

    Hitler killed more than Stalin in a much shorter time.

    So what? He was defending himself against regimes that were far bloodier and for a far longer time than he ever could have dreamed of. His enemies were vastly more powerful as well.

    Do you realize that the Reds had been openly preaching permanent world revolution for decades before Hitler came along?

    Hitler was defending nothing. A poor leader especially from 1938 forward, who was used like a tool
    by the Western elites. He made so many mistakes, its a disgrace people think he was a good guy.

    Murdering millions of Slavics thousands of kilometers from home is not defense. Murdering Catholic priests is not defense.
    Hitler didnt even do anything significant against the big Jews.

    All he did was bark, while sending millions of Germans to their deaths in a war they couldnt win.
    Look at the aftermath of Hitlers “awesome” results today.

    Stalin executed all the “world revolution” types before WW2 started.

    If uncle Joe killed 1000 times more people than Hitler did, explain this paradox:

    What paradox? Reread what he wrote...

    Recall. Stalin was a murderous tyrant unrivaled in history whose victims in 1939 were 1,000 times those of Adolf Hitler,

    He said, "in 1939." 1939, get it! Does that even need to be explained? Arrrrggghhh!!!

    Hitler killed 6 million Jews and 6 million non-Jews, total 12 million.

    You want a paradox? How did he kill 6 million Jews when there never were that many Jews under his control, and he didn't kill every one under his control.

    Evidence.: Note from a Jewish source.

    Where do they get 6 million?

    “Allowing for a maximum of 100,000 who succeeded in emigrating from Europe, this would bring the total number of Jews under the direct rule of Nazi Germany to about 3,200,000.

    Distribution of the Jewish Population of Europe 1933-. 1940," prepared by Mr. Moses Moskowitz
    AMERICAN JEWISH YEAR BOOK 1941-1942, page 662

    http://www.ajcarchives.org/AJC_DATA/Files/1941_1942_9_Statistics.pdf

    Them majikal Jews musta bore triplets or more AFTER they were killed!

    Those are interesting fake numbers,

    considering that in Poland and Germany alone there were at least 3-4 million Jews.

    Plus the terroritories of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine. Makes the number larger.

    And also Hungary, Romania, and other places.

    Hitler killed at least 17 million innocent people (very conservative figure).

    first stalin declared his policy-"communism in one state "- by 1928.still he has to fear war .then there is the war in spain in 1936 and west must have been supporting General Franco.Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1936.

    Then he is taking on internal dissidents .we all know how Russia was invaded by other countries and supported civil war inside Russia

    second Stalin had great success with 1st five year plan.(1928-1933).he must be popular.

    this holodoor in ukraine is stalin's policy to exterinate ukranians is not correct because 1.volga region also had famine at that time .2.Kiev may be like the third city in the soviet union after Moscow & St.Petersburg in those days

    west always loved Hitler until he invaded poland not because Jews are being killed.Queen Elizabeth is photographed saluting like Nazis in 1930's. (a counterfactual would be nobody would have bothered if hitler only killed jews and not invaded poland)

    Last comment. Of course the West supported Hitler for quite some time. So did the Zionists.

    Neonazis, Holocaust deniers, and Hitler worshippers like to bark about Soviet famine (which included not just Ukrainians btw),

    but they ignore famine dead caused by Hitler while that moron invaded Slavic lands.
    thats another 5 million dead innocent victims.

    the atrocities committed by the Nazis against the Slavs are well documented.

    If there was one thing I deplore about Hitler and the Nazis, it was their racial arrogance. Were it not for their hubris, perhaps some of those horrors might have been avoided.

    But the reason so many are fascinated by Hitler and the Nazis today, is because they're (understandably) alarmed at the all-pervasive and nefarious power of the international Jew$.

    You wouldn't see Hitler putting on the beanie and reverentially stroking the wall, would you?

    and then for irony, watch how the ((PTB)) start calling Poles all Nazis for refusing the 'refugees' and mocking the holy Holocaust. Just like they call Russia's leader, who certainly hates Nazis as much as any Slav, "Hitler', for failing to lick their ball-sack like the Western leaders all do.
