The Problem Is Washington, Not North Korea

Washington has never made any effort to conceal its contempt for North Korea. In the 64 years since the war ended, the US has done everything in its power to punish, humiliate and inflict pain on the Communist country. Washington has subjected the DPRK to starvation, prevented its government from accessing foreign capital and markets, strangled its economy with crippling economic sanctions, and installed lethal missile systems and military bases on their doorstep.

Negotiations aren’t possible because Washington refuses to sit down with a country which it sees as its inferior. Instead, the US has strong-armed China to do its bidding by using their diplomats as interlocutors who are expected to convey Washington’s ultimatums as threateningly as possible. The hope, of course, is that Pyongyang will cave in to Uncle Sam’s bullying and do what they are told.

But the North has never succumbed to US intimidation and there’s no sign that it will. Instead, they have developed a small arsenal of nuclear weapons to defend themselves in the event that the US tries to assert its dominance by launching another war.
There’s no country in the world that needs nuclear weapons more than North Korea. Brainwashed Americans, who get their news from FOX or CNN, may differ on this point, but if a hostile nation deployed carrier strike-groups off the coast of California while conducting massive war games on the Mexican border (with the express intention of scaring the shit of people) then they might see things differently. They might see the value of having a few nuclear weapons to deter that hostile nation from doing something really stupid.

And let’s be honest, the only reason Kim Jong Un hasn’t joined Saddam and Gadhafi in the great hereafter, is because (a)– The North does not sit on an ocean of oil, and (b)– The North has the capacity to reduce Seoul, Okinawa and Tokyo into smoldering debris-fields. Absent Kim’s WMDs, Pyongyang would have faced a preemptive attack long ago and Kim would have faced a fate similar to Gadhafi’s. Nuclear weapons are the only known antidote to US adventurism.

The American people –whose grasp of history does not extend beyond the events of 9-11 — have no idea of the way the US fights its wars or the horrific carnage and destruction it unleashed on the North. Here’s a short refresher that helps clarify why the North is still wary of the US more than 60 years after the armistice was signed. The excerpt is from an article titled “Americans have forgotten what we did to North Korea”, at Vox World:

“In the early 1950s, during the Korean War, the US dropped more bombs on North Korea than it had dropped in the entire Pacific theater during World War II. This carpet bombing, which included 32,000 tons of napalm, often deliberately targeted civilian as well as military targets, devastating the country far beyond what was necessary to fight the war. Whole cities were destroyed, with many thousands of innocent civilians killed and many more left homeless and hungry….

According to US journalist Blaine Harden: “Over a period of three years or so, we killed off — what — 20 percent of the population,” Air Force Gen. Curtis LeMay, head of the Strategic Air Command during the Korean War, told the Office of Air Force History in 1984. Dean Rusk, a supporter of the war and later secretary of state, said the United States bombed “everything that moved in North Korea, every brick standing on top of another.” After running low on urban targets, U.S. bombers destroyed hydroelectric and irrigation dams in the later stages of the war, flooding farmland and destroying crops……

“On January 3 at 10:30 AM an armada of 82 flying fortresses loosed their death-dealing load on the city of Pyongyang …Hundreds of tons of bombs and incendiary compound were simultaneously dropped throughout the city, causing annihilating fires, the transatlantic barbarians bombed the city with delayed-action high-explosive bombs which exploded at intervals for a whole day making it impossible for the people to come out onto the streets. The entire city has now been burning, enveloped in flames, for two days. By the second day, 7,812 civilians houses had been burnt down. The Americans were well aware that there were no military targets left in Pyongyang…

The number of inhabitants of Pyongyang killed by bomb splinters, burnt alive and suffocated by smoke is incalculable…Some 50,000 inhabitants remain in the city which before the war had a population of 500,000.” (“Americans have forgotten what we did to North Korea“, Vox World)

The United States killed over 2 million people in a country that posed no threat to US national security. Like Vietnam, the Korean War was just another muscle-flexing exercise the US periodically engages in whenever it gets bored or needs some far-flung location to try out its new weapons systems. The US had nothing to gain in its aggression on the Korean peninsula, it was mix of imperial overreach and pure unalloyed viciousness the likes of which we’ve seen many times in the past. According to the Asia-Pacific Journal:

“By the fall of 1952, there were no effective targets left for US planes to hit. Every significant town, city and industrial area in North Korea had already been bombed. In the spring of 1953, the Air Force targeted irrigation dams on the Yalu River, both to destroy the North Korean rice crop and to pressure the Chinese, who would have to supply more food aid to the North. Five reservoirs were hit, flooding thousands of acres of farmland, inundating whole towns and laying waste to the essential food source for millions of North Koreans.10 Only emergency assistance from China, the USSR, and other socialist countries prevented widespread famine.” (“The Destruction and Reconstruction of North Korea, 1950 – 1960”, The Asia-Pacific Journal, Japan Focus)

ORDER IT NOW

Repeat: “Reservoirs, irrigation dams, rice crops, hydroelectric dams, population centers” all napalmed, all carpet bombed, all razed to the ground. Nothing was spared. If it moved it was shot, if it didn’t move, it was bombed. The US couldn’t win, so they turned the country into an uninhabitable wastelands. “Let them starve. Let them freeze.. Let them eat weeds and roots and rodents to survive. Let them sleep in the ditches and find shelter in the rubble. What do we care? We’re the greatest country on earth. God bless America.”

This is how Washington does business, and it hasn’t changed since the Seventh Cavalry wiped out 150 men, women and children at Wounded Knee more than century ago. The Lakota Sioux at Pine Ridge got the same basic treatment as the North Koreans, or the Vietnamese, or the Nicaraguans, or the Iraqis and on and on and on and on. Anyone else who gets in Uncle Sam’s way, winds up in a world of hurt. End of story.

The savagery of America’s war against the North left an indelible mark on the psyche of the people. Whatever the cost, the North cannot allow a similar scenario to take place in the future. Whatever the cost, they must be prepared to defend themselves. If that means nukes, then so be it. Self preservation is the top priority.

Is there a way to end this pointless standoff between Pyongyang and Washington, a way to mend fences and build trust?

Of course there is. The US just needs to start treating the DPRK with respect and follow through on their promises. What promises?

The promise to built the North two light-water reactors to provide heat and light to their people in exchange for an end to its nuclear weapons program. You won’t read about this deal in the media because the media is just the propaganda wing of the Pentagon. They have no interest in promoting peaceful solutions. Their stock-in-trade is war, war and more war.

The North wants the US to honor its obligations under the 1994 Agreed Framework. That’s it. Just keep up your end of the goddamn deal. How hard can that be? Here’s how Jimmy Carter summed it up in a Washington Post op-ed (November 24, 2010):

“…in September 2005, an agreement … reaffirmed the basic premises of the 1994 accord. (The Agreed Framework) Its text included denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, a pledge of non-aggression by the United States and steps to evolve a permanent peace agreement to replace the U.S.-North Korean-Chinese cease-fire that has been in effect since July 1953. Unfortunately, no substantive progress has been made since 2005…

“This past July I was invited to return to Pyongyang to secure the release of an American, Aijalon Gomes, with the proviso that my visit would last long enough for substantive talks with top North Korean officials. They spelled out in detail their desire to develop a denuclearized Korean Peninsula and a permanent cease-fire, based on the 1994 agreements and the terms adopted by the six powers in September 2005….

“North Korean officials have given the same message to other recent American visitors and have permitted access by nuclear experts to an advanced facility for purifying uranium. The same officials had made it clear to me that this array of centrifuges would be ‘on the table’ for discussions with the United States, although uranium purification – a very slow process – was not covered in the 1994 agreements.

Pyongyang has sent a consistent message that during direct talks with the United States, it is ready to conclude an agreement to end its nuclear programs, put them all under IAEA inspection and conclude a permanent peace treaty to replace the ‘temporary’ cease-fire of 1953. We should consider responding to this offer. The unfortunate alternative is for North Koreans to take whatever actions they consider necessary to defend themselves from what they claim to fear most: a military attack supported by the United States, along with efforts to change the political regime.”

(“North Korea’s consistent message to the U.S.”, President Jimmy Carter, Washington Post)

Most people think the problem lies with North Korea, but it doesn’t. The problem lies with the United States; it’s unwillingness to negotiate an end to the war, its unwillingness to provide basic security guarantees to the North, its unwillingness to even sit down with the people who –through Washington’s own stubborn ignorance– are now developing long-range ballistic missiles that will be capable of hitting American cities.

How dumb is that?

The Trump team is sticking with a policy that has failed for 63 years and which clearly undermines US national security by putting American citizens directly at risk. AND FOR WHAT?

To preserve the image of “tough guy”, to convince people that the US doesn’t negotiate with weaker countries, to prove to the world that “whatever the US says, goes”? Is that it? Is image more important than a potential nuclear disaster?

Relations with the North can be normalized, economic ties can be strengthened, trust can be restored, and the nuclear threat can be defused. The situation with the North does not have to be a crisis, it can be fixed. It just takes a change in policy, a bit of give-and-take, and leaders that genuinely want peace more than war.

  1. “Negotiations are not possible”

    The new mantra of America.

This is America’s position in every conflict. I can’t think of a single conflict that America is trying to resolve through peaceful negotiations. Including internal conflicts. At this time, America only knows force. America only tries to resolve conflict by force. Headline after headline about crisis point after crisis point screams that America does not negotiate.

  2. Not defending D.C. at all, but let’s be honest: The crackpot regime in North Korea is a big problem.

    It’s just not our problem.

The USA should have let South Korea manage its own affairs generations ago. If we had, chances are the Korean peninsula would look a lot like China today. Korea would not be a western client state. It would be firmly in China’s orbit, and an economic rival. But it would not be nearly as impoverished, oppressive, and bellicose as the NORKs who have been led into ruin by a succession of genuinely crazy despots.

You expressed my thoughts very well. In fairness North Korea attacked South Korea in 1950 and it maintains a military establishment that impoverishes the country. But the U.S. should have withdrawn from South Korea in the 1970s at the latest--as soon as South Korea became capable of repelling invasion. Would U.S. withdrawal now provoke Japanese and South Korean nuclear programs and Chinese intervention? Maybe, but maybe the Chinese could broker a deal among East Asians that maintains peace--the Japanese have no interest in reforming the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere and the Koreans are not going to march on Beijing. U.S. withdrawal might be the impetus for a reduction in tensions.

But it doesn't look as if that's the way it's going to play out. We'll get another pointless confrontation that does nothing to address the pressing problems that we face at home.

North Korea is impoverished because America is trying to starve them out. Not because of communism of the NK leadership.

Vietnam is a communist state and they can feed their people just fine because America needs Vietnam as a client state against China. So America leaves them alone and doesn't impose sanctions.

All the NK leadership and people need to do is look at the Libyan and what happened when Gaddafi decided to play nice with the west. Their people are now being sold as slaves.

Who thought American leadership could make NK leaders sound sane.

Your raise an excellent issue. The question is of course, "Why didn't the US let S Korea manage its own affairs?"

My take, the Pentagon is playing a long game since WWII called the "Empires On the Pacific" by the author of the book Robert S. Thompson.
Episode 1 was presented by Thompson book and the following clip:
    https://www.c-span.org/video/?c2133833/clip-empires-pacific

George Friedman's "The Coming War With Japan" might be Episode 2 if Japan did not have its lost decades.

With China's rise comes episode 3.

For over seventy years the US has dominated Asia, ravaging the continent with two major wars in Korea and Indo-China with millions of casualties, and multiple counter-insurgency interventions in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Timor, Myanmar, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The strategic goal has been to expand its military and political power, exploit the economies and resources.

USA is 8,000 miles on the other side of the Pacific Ocean. In history no aliens ever have the well-being of locals in heart; they are the invaders and troublemakers; the only way they can benefit from a faraway place is to create chaos, insert wedges, sow discords and incite animosities between the locals. The current tensions in the Korea peninsula are the result of aliens from far away land creating chaos, inserting wedges, sowing discords and inciting animosities between the nations around the Korea peninsula.

Please spare us the thought the USA is doing anybody a favor, such pretension is simply conscientious, psychopathic and evil.

My agree button doesn't work now so I must write it in, lol!!!

Nice try ! This attitude and this belief plays right into the hands of the Pentagon- Neocon-Interventionist . They can wash their hands off any fallout any aftermath any destruction that they have wrought by blaming the victims . One way to blame them is to find something that is odd, incongruous, unnecessary or harmful even when the scale of the effects and of the prevalence are microscopic in nature
    .
It is same method that Pentagon uses to fool Americans by raising the spending on the defense by Iran or Syria or Libya or by NK and hide the true figures they spend on defense ( that also adds to the 20 trillion dollars deficit-. each yr America has been spending more than 1 trillion since at least 2008 on defense ) to get new war started .

  6. I wrote a detailed article about this situation in 2013.

    http://www.g2mil.com/casey.htm

Here are five paragraphs of interest:

North Korea remains a favorite threat for the Pentagon. After the Cold War ended, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Army General Colin Powell admitted: “I’m running out of demons. I’m running out of villains. I’m down to Castro and Kim Il Sung.” Two decades later, North Korea remains a favorite demon for Army Generals. We are told the newest North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, is as crazy and unpredictable as his forefathers. Our corporate media demonizes him in every report, but they do not tell you that he loves American basketball and speaks English. He attended a first-class private school in Switzerland for several years, and has a college degree in physics. Despite traditional saber rattling talk, he is worldly enough to know that North Korea would quickly lose a war.

As American forces leave Afghanistan, Army Generals want to justify their wartime budget by exaggerating the North Korean threat, ignoring that South Korea has twice the population, 50 times the economic power, and a modern military that is roughly five times stronger than the decrepit North Korean Army. In addition, South Korea has fortified and mined its mountainous border region along the DMZ (pictured) so no vehicles can pass.

A key step is the closure of American bases because North Korea has long maintained that the withdrawal of all foreign forces from the Korean peninsula is a prerequisite for peace. There are no Chinese or Russian forces in North Korea, even though South Korea is far stronger. South Korea political leaders deal with a growing number of nationalists and pacifists who want the American military to leave, and traditional supporters of a long standing alliance. Many South Koreans support American bases only because they benefit from the billions of dollars in annual American military spending, which generates tens of thousands of jobs.

If American troops withdraw from danger, American Generals will no longer be players if war erupts, and American troops may not even take part in fighting. American civilian leaders may finally cross off the threat of a North Korean invasion as a justification for a large peacetime army. Withdrawing American troops far from the DMZ may result in peaceful reunification, resulting in closure of all U.S. Army bases in Korea, and justify a further 50,000-man downsizing in U.S. Army active-duty force structure.

Despite constant media stories about the North Korean threat, South Korea will cut its active duty military from 640,000 to 522,000 by 2022, citing the country’s declining birth rate as the reason for the downsizing. According the CIA Factbook, South Korea has almost 11 million men fit for military duty, so the “declining birthrate” excuse to downsize and cut costs is absurd. South Korea spends roughly half as much of its GDP on national defense compared to the USA and its economy continues rapid growth as it surpasses the USA in many areas of technology — ever hear of Samsung? Most Americans would be outraged by these facts, which is why they never appear in our major corporate media.

Wrong about the US involvement in the Korean war. That happened because the north attacked the south. South Koreans should be grateful Americans died saving them from Kim-Jung and company.

  9. This is an excellent article bringing out facts which have been suppressed by the power structure for almost a lifetime. I recall that a South Korean president, Kim, I believe, had almost negotiated an end to the Korean impasse around 2000, but that when Bush took over, he scuppered the negotiations. The real reason to keep the North Korea thing going is to provide a rationale for the yankee government to maintain its large scale occupation of Korea and Japan. The trouble is, if they keep squeezing, North Korea, which developed nukes to prevent regime change, may reach the conclusion that the only way out is via the nukes, or may come to the conclusion that, if they are going to be invaded anyway, why not take the yankee regime down with it.

  11. (((Washington))) has the always been the fucking problem.
If it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place.
If it weren’t for (((Washington))) getting involved in WWI, then WWII, maybe the events of history would have been different and maybe Communism would never have spread to Asia. Who knows?

I’m quite frustrated these days. All these foreign powers for so long, Japan, USSR, China, America meddling in our affairs for a century. It seem as though our people have no agency over our own future, as dog puppets following our imperialist masters on both sides of the peninsula. I just want peace, harmony, unification, independence.

A preemptive attack on North Korea (aka US aggression) means genocide to our people north of the DMZ and retaliation against our people here in the South. You think this has any chance of bringing “freedom” to the peninsula but you cannot see what that timeline would hold. No matter what happens, Koreans will lose.

    I LIVE HERE GOD DAMMIT.
    THIS ISN’T “HELPING.”
I see a lot of armchair generals talking online, I say shut the fuck up unless you’re gonna come or send your sons here to die in a war you don’t need to be in, because if war breaks out I will volunteer to fight, and if I’m still alive I will come for people like YOU.

A simple question - whose business is it what North Korea does or what all your nuts say that North Korea does? NK has not attacked anyone yet, it has never done anything to US yet (except frustrate its expansion plans) and has only suffered terrible crimes by US. It is your nuts who attack other countries all the time. Objectively, your "conservatives, liberals, alt-righters, pretty much everyone" nuts are the problem not NK.

Only in the world in which might makes right can NK be wrong and US can be right. But you know what, it may be good to be mighty and terrorise the rest of the world and NK, but when eventually a bigger animal shows up, it ain't gonna be as much fun for all your nuts. It is only because US is an empire of sub-human, self-righteous animals that NK can be called an enemy.

Let us see if Russia and China like the animal world that US and its presidential shithead are creating. For every dirty action, there will be a reaction.

  16. Whitney brings to light some facts that are uncomfortable for Americans. America has killed millions of Japanese, German, Korean, Vietnamese and Iraqi civilians over the past 60 years in its air campaigns. Good points to remember next time someone starts beating the war drums.

Having said this, I think a case can be made that in the balance, the entire population of the Korean Peninsula benefitted from the Korean War. I suspect there would have been much more suffering since 1950 if the war hadn’t happened and the entire peninsula had been united under a brutal Marxist state.

The real issue is what to do now. No good answers here. A war would pull in the US, China, Russia, Japan and North and South Korea. If history has taught us anything, it’s that war between advanced, industrialized economies is a disaster.

The next possibility is a collapse of North Korea without armed conflict. This is also a problem. There are two alternatives for a united Korea. One is a Korea allied with the US. This means US troops on the Chinese and Russian border. That is too fraught with risk to consider. The second is a “neutral” Korean state. Without the US backing it, Korea would become a Chinese puppet state, which means Japan would arm itself with nukes and raise serious tensions in NE Asia. Also a bad outcome.

As sad and cynical as it sounds, the best option is to maintain a North Korean border state, but less totalitarian and brutal than the current country. How to move Korea from Stalinist Russia to end of the Cold War East Germany? I think that is the outcome that is safest for the world and the best for the poor suffering North Korean population.

Sadly, of course, they won’t. There’s neither any money in it, nor is it in the interests of any political lobby or party for such inconvenient truths to be given big media exposure.

There’s surely some colossal irony in the way the peoples of the US sphere nations are so fanatically propagandised (and so enthusiastically collaborate in their own brainwashing) into feeling guilt for things that there is no need or reason for them to feel guilt for – the actions of ancestors, or of Germans they were fighting a war against at the time, or simply for being normal human beings and being normally and reasonably “racist”, “sexist”, “homophobic”, “islamophobic” and “anti-Semitic” – whilst pointedly ignoring things we actually ought to feel some sense of guilt, shame and responsibility for, namely the disgraceful illegal and immoral behaviour of our elected leaders with the proceeds of our tax payments and our countries’ military forces.

    "Negotiations are not possible"

    The new mantra of America.

This is America's position in every conflict. I can't think of a single conflict that America is trying to resolve through peaceful negotiations. Including internal conflicts. At this time, America only knows force. America only tries to resolve conflict by force. Headline after headline about crisis point after crisis point screams that America does not negotiate.

“America only knows force. America only tries to resolve conflict by force.” It should be said American only knows barbaric organized violence, American won the world not by any superior ideology, religion or technology, but by applying beastly barbaric organized violence with hypocrisy.

    It's just not our problem.

The USA should have let South Korea manage its own affairs generations ago. If we had, chances are the Korean peninsula would look a lot like China today. Korea would not be a western client state. It would be firmly in China's orbit, and an economic rival. But it would not be nearly as impoverished, oppressive, and bellicose as the NORKs who have been led into ruin by a succession of genuinely crazy despots.

  22. “In the 64 years since the war ended…”

To the best of my knowledge, the war has never “ended”. There was an armistice which has lasted since 1953, but a peace treaty has never been signed. (Although I believe North Korea suggested one to the USA, which refused).

I find it odd that most people do not understand how these things work. According to the UN Charter, the Nuremberg Principles, and international law, unprovoked aggressive war is the supreme international crime. It is only permissible to attack another nation if (1) it has already attacked your nation – not some ally, but your own nation; or (2) if the UN has given you a mandate to wage war on that nation.

Since 1945 the USA has attacked scores of other nations without legal justification. Each and every one of those attacks was an illegal act of war, and so the USA remains in a state of war with about a third of the members of the UN. That means any of those nations – or all of them – can commit acts of war against the USA without breaking international law. North Korea is one of them.

    Korean war,
How did the wound gets to fester for so long since ww2 ?

    In case you forget,

murkka refused to sign a peace treaty with NK.

Wolfowicz blocked a Chinese initiated peace talk in 1980.

'I have been charged by the President with making sure that none of the tyrannies in the world are negotiated with. We don't negotiate with evil; we defeat it.'

The same sordid affair continued in the following years right up to this day,
Washington would throw a spanner into any Chinese/NK initiated peace plan, then blamed China for the mess.

Why the North Koreans allow these horrid little trolls, the Kims, to control their lives like this is beyond me. White men wouldn’t tolerate this. This says something about the Asian mind.

Right, white men wouldn't tolerate living under a Communist regime. They clearly rose up in effective, violent revolution and overthrew the USSR on the other side of the Iron Curtain out of their own sheer force of will, right? Hey, how come the Cubans tolerated Castro's regime for so long? Must say something about the white/Mestizo mind, after all Cubans are 64% white.

Sir, that's a very shallow way of looking at it. Yes, white men can be very strong and independent as seen in the Founding Fathers, but cut my people some slack in the North for being brainwashed. Anybody who is caught organizing is sent to the death camps along with his entire family, and many North Koreans cannot trust even their closest friend if they say or do something out of line. Or so I've heard, maybe it's just propaganda.

Well, we did something about it in South Korea, and no matter how badly some of you think we screwed it up, South Korea is a success story. But it isn’t a white culture and it shouldn’t be.

South Korea is a success story, but you could argue if (((Washington))) didn't get America into WWI on some flimsy pretext, people who worked with those who pushed Communism in Europe, then perhaps we wouldn't have needed a war to fight off Communism in the first place.

Imagine someone hires a bunch of people to set your neighborhood on fire, and then hires other people to come to your house to rescue you from your home. Yes, I'm grateful for the US veterans and other UN soldiers who came to fight off Communism in my homeland, but if their government had fought the USSR instead of Germany, we might have been better off.
  33. Many good comments, but there is a fundamental confusion which is not properly assessing the true strategic picture which is this:

The British Empire is setting off World War III to prevent the America, Russia and China to work together in their mutual interest via the real Deal’s being proposed-The One Belt and Silk Road initiatives. This is being done because these initiatives of cooperation by these nations means that “British Empire Geopolitics” ie “The Great Game” is OVER.

This is the strategic reality, it is the reason that the British started World War I, an operation which served to formally bring the United States totally back into the sphere of the Empire’s hegemony. (The Federal Reserve Act was part of the operation, as was the assassination of President McKinley by the Brits anarchist asset Emma Goldman’s network of dupes, the Antifa of its day, bringing in Anglophile T. Roosevelt)

Further it was the British who after World War II did not want a dismantling of the Empire per FDR’s intentions. Thus the enemy was America and unification with the Russians, thus we had Korea, the rise of Mao, Vietnam, the sixties drug onslaught, de-industrialization, etc.

Now we have a President Trump, with major flaws, but one who has openly said that he wanted to get along with Russia and China and who had invoked for the first time since McKinley the “America System of Economics” so the chances of finally making the shift as represented by the Chinese and Russian offers of the Silk Road and One Belt policies, has now come under a Coup attack by the Deep State, Anglo-Zionist networks.

Yes the British Empire never went away. England has been turned into a dump, but the power centers of the Financial Oligarchy has always been based upon centers of monetarist trade and alliance with what ever mercenary pirate forces they can motivate to enact war and terror. Yes the U.S. has been a cuck for a long time, but the U.S. as a Republic is not inherently an empire system, but has been destroyed into being one.

This is typical leftist bullshit propaganda used to undermine the sovereignty of America as a white nation. European descendants conquered the land, and of course they did some bad things to the natives, but the natives weren't all noble enlightened peaceful people themselves, were they?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K84c7NlZzno

White America built something GREAT that the natives never could have, and any minority including our own people, benefits from "white privilege" and the vast wealth, liberty and prosperity that can be enjoyed just by virtue of living there.

Although it may be too late, I don't want America to turn into anything less than a white majority nation. Our people who live there will be affected negatively should the country balkanize, and I do not want more blacks or Hispanics living alongside my people. From what I can see, Koreans are better off living in mostly white societies.

It wouldn't help whites (a minority) living in South Korea to have the stability and social cohesion of Korean society to be compromised by having mass immigration of other peoples into South Korea, now would it?

  37. Whitney can’t get past dividing Korea into North and South, an artificial creation whose history is too complex for most Americans to even bother with. Instead Americans prefer the M.A.S.H hallucination, a TV propaganda effort broadcast at them in the waning days of the successful effort to destroy Vietnam.

A fact that “South” Koreans were rounded up and shot into shallow trenches by the US Military is just another point of denial for consumers who long for Happy Days. The spirit of anti-communism had nothing on the third reich – more efficient means of killing were perfected in the 1950s. There are many more facts.

Let’s add a few details to Whitney’s piece, the Counterpunch spook’s regular cartoons are enjoyed by many, so let’s enhance this promotion with a few more facts and obscenities:

    * South Korea is no paradise, like the United States, many people would like to get hell out of the fake meritocratic shit hole if there were anywhere to go. Koreans, like the Americans, have little say in anything that is done by their Government. Birth, death, school, work with the thrill of militarism. Good enough for some American degenerates, no doubt about it.

    * Some Koreans, as an example, would love to shove Lockheed Martin’s THAAD missilles back up the ass of the famous American corporation, but with the mafia in charge of their country to make sure they are a bitch to the United States when it comes to “defence” – what are they gonna do? Open a kimchi stand at the United States famous 20th century imperial fraud, the DMZ? No, they have no choice but to go along with the “fake enemy” bullshit so loved by the press and the industries that own and control their lives. Better to worship the weapons makers with a side order of Christianity.

    * The American mafia sees a bounty in the real estate and times have changed. Blighting the living shit out of a populace (sometimes working with the very Government that supposedly the US has a problem with!) might have been OK for decades, but times have changed.

It makes too much sense. It could never happen.

  40. There is always a very simple flaw with an article like this. It always assumes that the rest of the world simply does not have agency. The rest of the world is populated by innocent pastoralists who are only made evil and nasty by the things that big bad America does. It’s the type of argument that was used by Communists against the US during the Cold War.

By what duty does the US have to build light-water reactors for North Korea in exchange for not building nuclear weapons? For that matter, if you can build reactors for weapons, why can’t you build them for civilian energy use, obviating US involvement at all? North Korea had no other options than shaking down the US? We’re going to abide by some useless treaty created by the anti-American Clinton presidency? This is reasonable? Isn’t it clear that North Korea wants nukes and it does not want to run its non-existent industrial economy? Avoiding nuclear blackmail is a perfectly legitimate government policy.

Furthermore, if North Korea did not want to get bombed into the stone age, then it should not have attacked South Korea. Why did we care? Because it was perfectly reasonable not to have all of Asia come under centralized Chinese Communist control.

But we see this type argument coming up all of the time.

Cuba is an economic basket-case because of the US embargo; Japan attacked Pearl Harbor because the US stopped oil exports; The Soviets could not feed themselves because of Western wreckers; North Korea is an open-air prison because America made them do it.

The US is not obligated to support or encourage regimes that are hostile to it. It’s not obligated to open its markets to their products or to export raw materials, like oil to Japan so Japan could fuel its invasion of China. It’s not obligated to build reactors for the Norks and then maintain eternal vigilance on the West Coast so that a Nork diesel-electric sub doesn’t pop up to hit Los Angeles. What exactly is Whitney proposing that we do?

For all the talk about a brainwashed US public, has it ever occurred to you guys that foreign countries are just as equally brainwashed, if not more so? That this brainwashing is itself a threat and it represents viable collective action against the US and its interests? You think the bastardy in Washington isn’t duplicated in dozens of countries around the world? I’ll give credit to the DC crowd: they can certainly recognize their own.

My take on Cuba, Soviets, and North Korea: They are all terrible totalitarian Communist regimes, and whatever America did or didn't do doesn't matter as much, as long as they're totalitarian Communist regimes.

My take on Japan: America started it with the oil embargo, which I believe was considered an act of war internationally at the time. Washington knew the Japanese fleet was heading to Pearl Harbor in advance. A Soviet spy named Harry White tried hard to get America into a war with Japan, look up the "Hull note." He succeeded.

This essay is completely biased against the USA. Both sides were ruthless and self serving. There is plenty of blame to go around. Past recriminations are pointless.

The real problem since the war as I see it is that both sides have had the opportunity to move closer together and rebuild their country more suited to the Korean people. The only reason that hasn’t happened is that the Kims and the privileged that support them will not give up power.

In order to maintain their privileged positions , the elite have kept the masses ignorant and hungry, even starving. This is inexcusable. Mike simply ignores this inconvenient truth.

I have never lived in North Korea or Russia, but it is my perception that NKs suffer a subjugation that is an order of magnitude greater than the Soviets. They are not equal simply because they both call themselves communist.

NKs are not allowed to travel, their TVs and radios receive only government stations and way too many have been deliberately starved to death in order to fund missiles and nukes. They are controlled and regimented to a degree I still assert white men would not tolerate.

Soviets were major players in the worlds arenas from sports to fine arts despite the risk of defection. I worked in the defense industry during the Cold War, but I liked the Russians, and felt the Russians liked us. This includes all the other Soviet satellites. It was our governments that couldn’t get along. Today, their cultures are not all that different than they were during the Cold War as far as I can tell. In fact there are lots of Soviets who are nostalgic for the good old days.

    https://communismgr.blogspot.com/2016/08/nostalgia-for-ussr-people-in-former.html

In any case, there were real elections that resulted in leadership that thought that the remaining restrictions of Soviet rule should be removed so that Russians and the satellites could take their rightful place on the world stage. For my money, Gorbachev is the man of the century because he gave up personal power for what he thought was best for his people. Yeltsin doubled down, and the Russian military would not fire on its own people.

    Some background information:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_War

The Korean War (in South Korean Hangul: 한국전쟁; Hanja: 韓國戰爭; RR: Hanguk Jeonjaeng, "Korean War"; in North Korean Chosŏn'gŭl: 조국해방전쟁; Hancha: 祖國解放戰爭; MR: Choguk haebang chǒnjaeng, "Fatherland Liberation War"; 25 June 1950 – 27 July 1953)[36][b][38] began when North Korea invaded South Korea.[39][40] The United Nations, with the United States as the principal force, came to the aid of South Korea. China came to the aid of North Korea, and the Soviet Union gave some assistance.

Korea was ruled by Japan from 1910 until the closing days of World War II. In August 1945, the Soviet Union declared war on Japan, as a result of an agreement with the United States, and liberated Korea north of the 38th parallel. U.S. forces subsequently moved into the south. By 1948, as a product of the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the United States, Korea was split into two regions, with separate governments. Both governments claimed to be the legitimate government of all of Korea, and neither side accepted the border as permanent. The conflict escalated into open warfare when North Korean forces—supported by the Soviet Union and China—moved into the south on 25 June 1950.[41] On that day, the United Nations Security Council recognized this North Korean act as invasion and called for an immediate ceasefire.[42] On 27 June, the Security Council adopted S/RES/83: Complaint of aggression upon the Republic of Korea and decided the formation and dispatch of the UN Forces in Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force, with the United States providing 88% of the UN's military personnel.

After the first two months of war, South Korean forces were on the point of defeat, forced back to the Pusan Perimeter. In September 1950, an amphibious UN counter-offensive was launched at Inchon, and cut off many North Korean troops. Those who escaped envelopment and capture were rapidly forced back north all the way to the border with China at the Yalu River, or into the mountainous interior. At this point, in October 1950, Chinese forces crossed the Yalu and entered the war.[41] Chinese intervention triggered a retreat of UN forces which continued until mid-1951.

After these reversals of fortune, which saw Seoul change hands four times, the last two years of fighting became a war of attrition, with the front line close to the 38th parallel. The war in the air, however, was never a stalemate. North Korea was subject to a massive bombing campaign. Jet fighters confronted each other in air-to-air combat for the first time in history, and Soviet pilots covertly flew in defense of their communist allies.

The fighting ended on 27 July 1953, when an armistice was signed. The agreement created the Korean Demilitarized Zone to separate North and South Korea, and allowed the return of prisoners. However, no peace treaty has been signed, and the two Koreas are technically still at war.[43][44] Periodic clashes, many of which are deadly, continue to the present.

  48. come to think of it, who invented the race equality myth? Only whites, especially the blue of eye and blonde of hair northern whites. We are Guilty, nevertheless of Everything.

Spreading Democracy, Nation Building, etc. is kin to this…all driven by surplus altruism in the White genome. No other race has ever invented the myth of race equality, just as no other race has invented democracy, elections, and all that other bourgeois junk.

Arguably, the race equality myth, besides underlying commerce, also contributes to the notion that because We did it…Whites…that Others can do it as well. This leads to One Worldlism, Globalist economics, and Human Rights on global scale…thereby facilitating immigration by darkies of low intelligence, and all the other wrecks/disasters in slow motion of our country, culture, and race.

Of course, the Jews piled on with their race equality myth books, opportunistically exploiting the chink in our armor…altruism…to further their own goal of neutralizing White self-confidence and racial solidarity. They even convinced Whites that Jewish social and racial solidarity is just fine, but…if whites pursue their own racial interests, we are nazis, etc.

The race Equality myth is the disaster of the Times…for Whites primarily, but when the inevitable backlash, already in progress, gets going, the racial peace , such as it was a half-century ago, will evaporate as mere Good White Ideas, and the darkies will suffer along with Whites., from the consequences.

Inequality is the nature of the natural world. No sub-species of the same species, races in the case of homo sapiens, live in the same territory. That is just the way it is. Even in the same species, like wild dogs in Africa…..go into another’s territory, and get killed.

Egalitarianism is a revolt against nature.
Communism is egalitarianism, and Communism is evil.

We are not equal. Some peoples are clearly superior at doing some things better than others. That's okay, I have no problem admitting our weaknesses or that we can learn from others who are better at some things than we are.

Gentlemen, my people do not want to conquer the world like the English, Jews, Muslims, Christians, or Chinese do.

I truly believe deep down we just want unification, independence, peace and harmony, and to have our own peninsula, without the occupation and puppetry of foreign governments.

You can have the great achievements of industrialism, the Enlightenment, ideals of liberty and freedom and all the wonderful things you have brought to the world, white man. The rest of the world clearly has benefitted including me and my people. I just want my people to be left alone.

    Excellent comment, JW.
Question here regarding labeling, naming the problem, FWIW.

Would you say the race equality myth could be also called "secular universalism"?

A play on the doctrine of religious universalism that assumes all people go to heaven, no judgment or wrath by an Almighty Being, only "love".

Perhaps "secular universalism" is too much of a stretch of the term.
OTOH, heck, there are Christians of all stripes who have been bribed - or duped - or lambasted (preached) - into buying into the myth of race equality, whatever we label that mistaken notion.

Research the financial/economic/currency plans of Hussein and Gaddafi and their murders. Research the fact that as a sovereign nation, Syria refused to allow outsiders to build a pipeline through that country. How many sovereign nations remain, and how many have refused to be controlled by the West and the central bankers? The American Civil War was about destroying the real America and letting the Crown and bankers gain a foothold to replace a lawful de jure government of the people with a private de facto government for the elite. There are three city nations that are not true nations, but private entities serving as the secular trinity for the elite. Those cities are Washington DC, the City of London, and Vatican City; and all should be eliminated with the land converted to parks as a reminder not to let it happen again.

The article, like almost all others, misses a *key* fact: Washington is constantly threatening a nuclear strike on NK. This is why they developed their own nukes. Im no fan on the absurd monarchy in NK, but the fact is that nukes keep the peace. Ditto for Iran.

Iran has no nukes and no nuclear weapons program.

Why the North Koreans allow these horrid little trolls, the Kims, to control their lives like this is beyond me. White men wouldn’t tolerate this. This says something about the Asian mind. I have heard ex-pat Chinese, and others, say something should be about human rights in China. If a billion and a half Chinese can’t do something to improve their human rights, how can we? Right, white men wouldn’t tolerate living under a Communist regime. They clearly rose up in effective, violent revolution and overthrew the USSR on the other side of the Iron Curtain out of their own sheer force of will, right? Hey, how come the Cubans tolerated Castro’s regime for so long? Must say something about the white/Mestizo mind, after all Cubans are 64% white.

Sir, that’s a very shallow way of looking at it. Or so I’ve heard, maybe it’s just propaganda.

Well, we did something about it in South Korea, and no matter how badly some of you think we screwed it up, South Korea is a success story. But it isn’t a white culture and it shouldn’t be.

South Korea is a success story, but you could argue if (((Washington))) didn’t get America into WWI on some flimsy pretext, people who worked with those who pushed Communism in Europe, then perhaps we wouldn’t have needed a war to fight off Communism in the first place.

Imagine someone hires a bunch of people to set your neighborhood on fire, and then hires other people to come to your house to rescue you from your home. Yes, I’m grateful for the US veterans and other UN soldiers who came to fight off Communism in my homeland, but if their government had fought the USSR instead of Germany, we might have been better off.

I agree with most of what you have said here and in other comments, and I appreciate your candor. However, I will stick to my guns.

For the last 40 or more years, you Koreans have been left well enough alone to work out your own problems. The Kims and his toadies have made it impossible. Your attempt to justify and excuse this behavior and the failure of the North Koreans to take control of their own future doesn’t work for me.

Also your attempt to blame past events such as WW1 and WW2 for current failures is an old dodge usually used by black people. It doesn’t work for me either.

It is precisely the failure of you Koreans to solve this problem that we are in this pickle. Do you think the belligerency of North Korea causes the neighboring nations legitimate concern?

Now I don’t know what the hell Trump is up to, and so far I don’t like it. This is not why I voted for him. On this we agree 100%.

I can only surmise that there are as many slimy Asian nations behind this move as three are slimy Middle East nations behind the Syrian move. And of course the US deep state mucking with it all.

Many good comments, but there is a fundamental confusion which is not properly assessing the true strategic picture which is this:

The British Empire is setting off World War III to prevent the America, Russia and China to work together in their mutual interest via the real Deal's being proposed-The One Belt and Silk Road initiatives. This is being done because these initiatives of cooperation by these nations means that "British Empire Geopolitics" ie "The Great Game" is OVER.

This is the strategic reality, it is the reason that the British started World War I, an operation which served to formally bring the United States totally back into the sphere of the Empire's hegemony. (The Federal Reserve Act was part of the operation, as was the assassination of President McKinley by the Brits anarchist asset Emma Goldman's network of dupes, the Antifa of its day, bringing in Anglophile T. Roosevelt)

Further it was the British who after World War II did not want a dismantling of the Empire per FDR's intentions. Thus the enemy was America and unification with the Russians, thus we had Korea, the rise of Mao, Vietnam, the sixties drug onslaught, de-industrialization, etc.

Now we have a President Trump, with major flaws, but one who has openly said that he wanted to get along with Russia and China and who had invoked for the first time since McKinley the "America System of Economics" so the chances of finally making the shift as represented by the Chinese and Russian offers of the Silk Road and One Belt policies, has now come under a Coup attack by the Deep State, Anglo-Zionist networks.

I cannot support the stealing of lands from the indigenous people by the aliens with atrocities in the North America and Australia as legitimate.

I cannot support the stealing of lands from the indigenous people by the aliens with atrocities in the North America and Australia as legitimate.

This is typical leftist bullshit propaganda used to undermine the sovereignty of America as a white nation. European descendants conquered the land, and of course they did some bad things to the natives, but the natives weren’t all noble enlightened peaceful people themselves, were they?

White America built something GREAT that the natives never could have, and any minority including our own people, benefits from “white privilege” and the vast wealth, liberty and prosperity that can be enjoyed just by virtue of living there.

Although it may be too late, I don’t want America to turn into anything less than a white majority nation. Our people who live there will be affected negatively should the country balkanize, and I do not want more blacks or Hispanics living alongside my people. From what I can see, Koreans are better off living in mostly white societies.

It wouldn’t help whites (a minority) living in South Korea to have the stability and social cohesion of Korean society to be compromised by having mass immigration of other peoples into South Korea, now would it?

Funny how nobody ever says the Spanish stole Mexico from the Aztecs or Peru from the Incas. This "stole the land" is a self-serving argument used by non-whites to justify non-white immigration (it was "wrong" for whites to go there and build the best countries in the world, but it is "right" for them to go there and reap all the benefits and rewards that whites created). To compare conditions, circumstances, etc. in 17th-19th century America, Australia, Canada, etc. with those in 2017 is so absurd as to be not an apples and oranges, but an apples and asteroids comparison.

But like I said, its a self-serving "argument".

Whitney can't get past dividing Korea into North and South, an artificial creation whose history is too complex for most Americans to even bother with. Instead Americans prefer the M.A.S.H hallucination, a TV propaganda effort broadcast at them in the waning days of the successful effort to destroy Vietnam.

A fact that "South" Koreans were rounded up and shot into shallow trenches by the US Military is just another point of denial for consumers who long for Happy Days. The spirit of anti-communism had nothing on the third reich - more efficient means of killing were perfected in the 1950s. There are many more facts.

Let's add a few details to Whitney's piece, the Counterpunch spook's regular cartoons are enjoyed by many, so let's enhance this promotion with a few more facts and obscenities:

    * South Korea is no paradise, like the United States, many people would like to get hell out of the fake meritocratic shit hole if there were anywhere to go. Koreans, like the Americans, have little say in anything that is done by their Government. Birth, death, school, work with the thrill of militarism. Good enough for some American degenerates, no doubt about it.

    * Some Koreans, as an example, would love to shove Lockheed Martin's THAAD missilles back up the ass of the famous American corporation, but with the mafia in charge of their country to make sure they are a bitch to the United States when it comes to "defence" - what are they gonna do? Open a kimchi stand at the United States famous 20th century imperial fraud, the DMZ? No, they have no choice but to go along with the "fake enemy" bullshit so loved by the press and the industries that own and control their lives. Better to worship the weapons makers with a side order of Christianity.

    * The American mafia sees a bounty in the real estate and times have changed. Blighting the living shit out of a populace (sometimes working with the very Government that supposedly the US has a problem with!) might have been OK for decades, but times have changed.

I’d love to see your sources on this issue. I’ve been questioning the typical narrative of the Korean War, and I want to see different perspectives on it. I suspect that the Korean War was a farce that involved the genocide and enslavement of my people from the Oligarchy that ran the world at the time. I just want to know the truth. Would you please care to share links or point me in a direction?

There is always a very simple flaw with an article like this. It always assumes that the rest of the world simply does not have agency. The rest of the world is populated by innocent pastoralists who are only made evil and nasty by the things that big bad America does. It's the type of argument that was used by Communists against the US during the Cold War.

By what duty does the US have to build light-water reactors for North Korea in exchange for not building nuclear weapons? For that matter, if you can build reactors for weapons, why can't you build them for civilian energy use, obviating US involvement at all? North Korea had no other options than shaking down the US? We're going to abide by some useless treaty created by the anti-American Clinton presidency? This is reasonable? Isn't it clear that North Korea wants nukes and it does not want to run its non-existent industrial economy?

It's not obligated to open its markets to their products or to export raw materials, like oil to Japan so Japan could fuel its invasion of China. It's not obligated to build reactors for the Norks and then maintain eternal vigilance on the West Coast so that a Nork diesel-electric sub doesn't pop up to hit Los Angeles. What exactly is Whitney proposing that we do?

For all the talk about a brainwashed US public, has it ever occurred to you guys that foreign countries are just as equally brainwashed, if not more so? That this brainwashing is itself a threat and it represents viable collective action against the US and its interests? You think the bastardy in Washington isn't duplicated in dozens of countries around the world? I'll give credit to the DC crowd: they can certainly recognize their own.

Cuba is an economic basket-case because of the US embargo; Japan attacked Pearl Harbor because the US stopped oil exports; The Soviets could not feed themselves because of Western wreckers; North Korea is an open-air prison because America made them do it.

My take on Cuba, Soviets, and North Korea: They are all terrible totalitarian Communist regimes, and whatever America did or didn’t do doesn’t matter as much, as long as they’re totalitarian Communist regimes.

My take on Japan: America started it with the oil embargo, which I believe was considered an act of war internationally at the time. Washington knew the Japanese fleet was heading to Pearl Harbor in advance. A Soviet spy named Harry White tried hard to get America into a war with Japan, look up the “Hull note.” He succeeded.

I was in Cuba in 2000. Remember Elian? Went down for a leftie conference to see some old friends, see stalinismo lite, and watch the leftie anglos squirm under the absurdities and tyrannies of our Cuban Brothers and Sisters. The little brown sisters were the worst...as women always are . One said, "capitalism arises naturally from civil society. This is why we control all of civil society."

I walked around Havana for several days. Crumbling in many parts. Watched workers 'work'. What a joke. I built my own house and have those skills. I could outproduce 3 or 4 of these loafers.

The norte american anglos attending this conference were shocked. One said, " I never would have admitted the attractiveness of the utopian socialists, but now I do." You have to have been a leftie to understand this.

The darkies were always begging and complaining. No racial integration there....why? civil society of course, which even the commies don't dare touch when it comes to marriage. Only liberals today could develop State Plans for intermarriage.

Elian was returned to his family from Whiteland. If the situation was reversed, the Cubans never would have allowed it.

The race Equality myth is the disaster of the Times...for Whites primarily, but when the inevitable backlash, already in progress, gets going, the racial peace , such as it was a half-century ago, will evaporate as mere Good White Ideas, and the darkies will suffer along with Whites., from the consequences.

Inequality is the nature of the natural world. No sub-species of the same species, races in the case of homo sapiens, live in the same territory. That is just the way it is. Even in the same species, like wild dogs in Africa.....go into another's territory, and get killed.

Egalitarianism is a revolt against nature.
Communism is egalitarianism, and Communism is evil.

We are not equal. Some peoples are clearly superior at doing some things better than others. That’s okay, I have no problem admitting our weaknesses or that we can learn from others who are better at some things than we are.

  75. The single greatest problem in the world today is the criminal U.S. establishment, its policies, and the disasters of all kinds that it causes everywhere in the name of “global hegemony” and self-defined “global interests”. No other problem or set of villains comes close to this huge Damocles’ sword hanging over the whole planet.

If any additional proof of this was needed after all the sordid history of U.S. foreign policy since the end of World War II, just look at the way that the U.S. has switched to full-on alliance and cooperation with Islamic jihadis against sovereign nations, only a few years after 9/11.

What the world needs more than anything else is a total regime change in the U.S., a collapse of the ruling ideology, its adherents and foreign policies that are strangling the globe. Then people around the world can breathe freely and deal with their own real issues, instead of the artificial problems and conflicts imposed on them by “global hegemonist” U.S. exceptionalist psychopaths thousands of miles away.

Cuba is an economic basket-case because of the US embargo; Japan attacked Pearl Harbor because the US stopped oil exports; The Soviets could not feed themselves because of Western wreckers; North Korea is an open-air prison because America made them do it.

I was in Cuba in 2000. Remember Elian? Went down for a leftie conference to see some old friends, see stalinismo lite, and watch the leftie anglos squirm under the absurdities and tyrannies of our Cuban Brothers and Sisters. The little brown sisters were the worst…as women always are . One said, “capitalism arises naturally from civil society. This is why we control all of civil society.”

I walked around Havana for several days. Crumbling in many parts. Watched workers ‘work’. What a joke. I built my own house and have those skills. I could outproduce 3 or 4 of these loafers.

The norte american anglos attending this conference were shocked. One said, ” I never would have admitted the attractiveness of the utopian socialists, but now I do.” You have to have been a leftie to understand this.

The darkies were always begging and complaining. No racial integration there….why? civil society of course, which even the commies don’t dare touch when it comes to marriage. Only liberals today could develop State Plans for intermarriage.

Elian was returned to his family from Whiteland. If the situation was reversed, the Cubans never would have allowed it.

Not defending D.C. at all, but let's be honest: The crackpot regime in North Korea is a big problem.

Funny how nobody ever says the Spanish stole Mexico from the Aztecs or Peru from the Incas. This “stole the land” is a self-serving argument used by non-whites to justify non-white immigration (it was “wrong” for whites to go there and build the best countries in the world, but it is “right” for them to go there and reap all the benefits and rewards that whites created). To compare conditions, circumstances, etc. in 17th-19th century America, Australia, Canada, etc. with those in 2017 is so absurd as to be not an apples and oranges, but an apples and asteroids comparison.

But like I said, its a self-serving “argument”.

As a white guy, I wish that I could agree with you. But white guys put up with the Bolshevik nightmare for seventy years.

Sir, that’s a very shallow way of looking at it. Yes, white men can be very strong and independent as seen in the Founding Fathers, but cut my people some slack in the North for being brainwashed.

If that were my perception, then I would agree with you. But that's not how I see it. From what little I know, most of the elected leaders since South Korea's establishment have been considered puppets of the US. I have no problem admitting the incompetence of my people, but again, I didn't see Eastern Europeans rise up to overthrow Communist rule. Besides, the US military pointing its immense military might and nuclear weapons of its own at North Korea doesn't have some effect on our relations? Have South Korean-US behavior in response to NK always been civil, reasonable? And with America having such a stellar track record of bringing peace and prosperity throughout the most of its foreign policy, the Norks surely are unjustified in spreading propaganda about US imperialism.

Also your attempt to blame past events such as WW1 and WW2 for current failures is an old dodge usually used by black people. It doesn’t work for me either.

I've never heard blacks say that before, but in either case, you are not making an argument here. And neither am I getting my views from niggers.

What do you know about the sinking of the Lusitania being a flimsy pretext for America joining WWI? And what do you know about Soviet spy infiltration of the White House leading to war between Japan and America?

You bring up a good point. I intentionally do not mention these things based on the context of the conversation because attacking them in such a way in this context may just be alienating, and it's besides the point. Also, I blame Jews for controlling America in much of the 20th century, and not simply just "white America."

Having published this article in particular, I think the proprietor of the Unz Review should review "Truth in Advertising" legislation and choose a more legally-appropriate label for the site. As the site's new label, may I be the first to suggest "The Open Trench Latrine"?

I take it from your use of the military term “latrine” that you have some familiarity with the military. You may even have some sympathy for the military; perhaps you are even military or ex-military.

You certainly aren’t a lawyer, with your clumsy reference to “Truth in Advertising” legislation. What’s not “legally-appropriate” about “The Unz Review”?

I might venture to suggest a more “legally-appropriate” label for the US Army, but, if I may take the Quakers as my exemplar, I forbear to swear.

enslave...come on. All peoples have practiced slavery. Whites are the only people who abolished it. Just like it will be Whites who Abolish female genital mutilation , starting in the US....a quaint custom from Arabs, Muzzies, and Darkest Africa.

The Trail of Tears. The seminoles or whoever they were, brought their black slaves along with them.

American Indians, north and south, are total savages...and were. JW

I wrote a detailed article about this situation in 2013.

    http://www.g2mil.com/casey.htm

Here are five paragraphs of interest:

North Korea remains a favorite threat for the Pentagon. After the Cold War ended, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Army General Colin Powell admitted: "I'm running out of demons. I'm running out of villains. I'm down to Castro and Kim Il Sung." Two decades later, North Korea remains a favorite demon for Army Generals.

According the CIA Factbook, South Korea has almost 11 million men fit for military duty, so the "declining birthrate" excuse to downsize and cut costs is absurd. South Korea spends roughly half as much of its GDP on national defense compared to the USA and its economy continues rapid growth as it surpasses the USA in many areas of technology -- ever hear of Samsung? Most Americans would be outraged by these facts, which is why they never appear in our major corporate media.

Thanks for the post and the links

Why don't you get off your high horse sport. I believe western-derived countries should only have an immigration policy that makes sense for THEM (if they should have any immigration at all) and not one that is supposed to be some kind of penance for supposed historical wrongs. Nor do 'Injuns' benefit from it in any case.
  105. This is one issue in which I side with the Deep State.

The US learned the hard way not to get too close to another superpower, when nearly a million Chinese crossed the Yalu river. China did not have nuclear weapons then. Their first test was in 1964.

I highly doubt the US is eager to risk another war with China, now that China has nukes and a lot of stolen US military technology (thanks PC!).

If the US was going to invade North Korea for the lulz, wouldn’t they have already done so since the ceasefire? The lesson of Libya and Iraq are probably as much about making sure that if you sit on top of massive oil reserves and aren’t a nuclear armed superpower, then sell your oil in USD.

No, it seems to me that the issue here is the development of ICBMs capable of hitting US targets. NK already has nukes. They lack the delivery system. Once built, NK is unlikely to use them. Should the US let NK develop them? Good question. I think the US is as unlikely to attack a NK without an ICBM program as NK, if armed with ICBMs, would launch a first strike on the US.

The US is in a position to bully. There is a certain amount of wisdom in not pissing off a bully. And if the Chinese trusted KJU, why do they not give him some free ICBMs? Probably because it would result in a massive trade war with the US in which they would lose, but also because if you remove capability, intent becomes a moot point.

You don’t know about the Chinese, do you? They, like Americans, think they’re the center of the world. They would annex Korea if they could.

I do believe SK has no intention to conquer the world tho, [sic]

Yeah, it’s not our homeland so I understand if he does. I don’t want (too many) whites in Korea, either.

The way you fawn over the murkkans, I wonder if you know or even care about the genocide uncle sham inflicted on your people ,
    in NK/SK ?

You bring up a good point. I intentionally do not mention these things based on the context of the conversation because attacking them in such a way in this context may just be alienating, and it’s besides the point. Also, I blame Jews for controlling America in much of the 20th century, and not simply just “white America.”

Sir, that’s a very shallow way of looking at it. Yes, white men can be very strong and independent as seen in the Founding Fathers, but cut my people some slack in the North for being brainwashed.

We freedom loving white men thought we had finally voted for a non deep state candidate. He’s not off to a good start. I am quite confident there are enough of us to use force if necessary.

If that were my perception, then I would agree with you. But that’s not how I see it. From what little I know, most of the elected leaders since South Korea’s establishment have been considered puppets of the US. I have no problem admitting the incompetence of my people, but again, I didn’t see Eastern Europeans rise up to overthrow Communist rule. Besides, the US military pointing its immense military might and nuclear weapons of its own at North Korea doesn’t have some effect on our relations? Have South Korean-US behavior in response to NK always been civil, reasonable? And with America having such a stellar track record of bringing peace and prosperity throughout the most of its foreign policy, the Norks surely are unjustified in spreading propaganda about US imperialism.

Also your attempt to blame past events such as WW1 and WW2 for current failures is an old dodge usually used by black people. It doesn’t work for me either.

I’ve never heard blacks say that before, but in either case, you are not making an argument here. And neither am I getting my views from niggers.

What do you know about the sinking of the Lusitania being a flimsy pretext for America joining WWI? And what do you know about Soviet spy infiltration of the White House leading to war between Japan and America?

Yeah, Trump aka the US isn’t helping us with the current situation. He’s been aggravating it. Also, it’s hard for me to know how much agency us Koreans actually have in all these affairs, and how much of it is influenced by America, and also Zionist influence on the Deep State.

We freedom loving white men thought we had finally voted for a non deep state candidate. He’s not off to a good start. I am quite confident there are enough of us to use force if necessary.

For the sake of America and the freedom of mankind, I hope you’re right. There is no greater threat to elites who want to rule the world than free white persons of good character, armed and independent.

I live near Stanford U. and used to go to powwows wherein the wretched get free rent from the White Folks. , I used to wonder about the apparent reticence of these folks, trying to get a little chat started.

I drove thru Pine Ridge Rez a few years ago. Went into the gas station and convenience coffee shop. Silence . These folks are so stupid. IQ average of pure blood at 83. One savage followed me into the bathroom, I checked him out and concluded he was harmless, but he did beg. Nope.

I got out of there lickety split. The local check cashing store had bullet proof glass everywhere, etc.

As I drove into the rez, there was a late model SUV parked in the middle of the road with a squaw sitting in it. Nothing new here folks, move along.

No, I have to be strong and punch him back.
Might makes right. Strength is the first virtue.
Now, I still think what the whites did to the natives was kinda fucked up, and morally/ethically speaking, it's fucked up to pick on the weak, and yes, whites are responsible for a lot of death and destruction in the world but even more so the Jews that controlled them.
In any case, Korea has been weak for far too long, and I as a man cannot tolerate this victim complex.

come to think of it, who invented the race equality myth? Only whites, especially the blue of eye and blonde of hair northern whites. We are Guilty, nevertheless of Everything.

Spreading Democracy, Nation Building, etc. is kin to this...all driven by surplus altruism in the White genome. No other race has ever invented the myth of race equality, just as no other race has invented democracy, elections, and all that other bourgeois junk.

Arguably, the race equality myth, besides underlying commerce, also contributes to the notion that because We did it...Whites...that Others can do it as well. This leads to One Worldlism, Globalist economics, and Human Rights on global scale...thereby facilitating immigration by darkies of low intelligence, and all the other wrecks/disasters in slow motion of our country, culture, and race.

Of course, the Jews piled on with their race equality myth books, opportunistically exploiting the chink in our armor...altruism...to further their own goal of neutralizing White self-confidence and racial solidarity. They even convinced Whites that Jewish social and racial solidarity is just fine, but...if whites pursue their own racial interests, we are nazis, etc.

    Joe Webb

    Excellent comment, JW.
Question here regarding labeling, naming the problem, FWIW.

Would you say the race equality myth could be also called “secular universalism”?

A play on the doctrine of religious universalism that assumes all people go to heaven, no judgment or wrath by an Almighty Being, only “love”.

Perhaps “secular universalism” is too much of a stretch of the term.
OTOH, heck, there are Christians of all stripes who have been bribed – or duped – or lambasted (preached) – into buying into the myth of race equality, whatever we label that mistaken notion.
