Perhaps I’ve been overhasty in assuming that the Coalition of the Margins so diligently assembled by the Democratic Party has little to unite them other than the KKKrazy Glue of hate hoaxes implicating Great White Defendants.

For example, recall last week’s Hate Crime Crisis of the Century, in which the Governor of New York proudly announced that the NYPD’s manhunt for the terrorist who drew swastikas in chalk on a Queens playground had got their man (and then released him to his mom because he’s twelve).

Today, it turns out, however, that this wasn’t a Lone Wolf 12-year-old, it was a multicultural gang of two 12-year-olds, and they are Diverse!

From the New York Times:

Two 12-Year-Olds Drew Swastikas on a Playground. Is That a Hate Crime?

By Ginia Bellafante
March 7, 2019

At some point during the winter break last month, someone covered the playground of a public school in the Rego Park section of Queens with swastikas and other anti-Semitic sentiments. Either poor spellers or unfamiliar with the exact phrasing of the Nazi salute, whoever was responsible inscribed the words “Hail Hiter” on the ground in chalk.

Several days later, two boys were arrested and charged with aggravated harassment. They came from the neighborhood, one that has long been predominantly white and Jewish but grown more diverse in recent years with an influx of Asian immigrants.

After the initial arrest, the Police Department’s chief of detectives, Dermot Shea, quickly took to Twitter to commend the “great job” accomplished by his colleagues in the hate-crimes unit he oversees and to say that “no matter the face of hate,” New York will exhibit “ZERO tolerance” for it.

In this case the face of hate was the face of two children of color — one black, the other Asian — who were 12 years old.

Cynics like Steve Sailer have long suggested that the Democrats’ Coalition of the Fringes will find few common goals to draw them together, but this shows that America’s black and Asian juvenile delinquents can come together to draw non-dyslexic swastikas and even a quite accurate hammer & sickle in chalk in order to annoy their neighborhood’s socially dominant ex-Soviet Central Asian Bukharian Jews. As we know, Diversity is our strength, and if that’s not Diversity I don’t know what is.

… Surely the bigotry that has been making more frequent appearances on the American stage since the Trump years is partly to blame.

The causal mechanism of how this is Trump’s Fault is perhaps still vague at this point, but trust me, Ginia Bellafante, it just is.

Whatever the cause, it seems fairly clear that arresting 12-year-olds, especially at a time when criminal justice reform has concentrated on diverting young minorities from the system, cannot be considered a solution. …

“Do you remember the song from ‘South Pacific,’ ‘you have to be taught to hate?’” asked Toby Ann Stavisky, a state senator representing the relevant district in Queens.

I’ve long argued that Oscar Hammerstein II is, along with perhaps James Michener, the most influential thinker of the Obama Age.

“These children were taught to hate, and I’d be very interested to learn where they learned to hate.”

After all, until Trump came along, nobody had ever heard of 12-year-old boys being bad.

Or perhaps we might also wonder if and where they learned that it is perfectly fine to express a mischievous, rebellious or playful side through the use of such cruel and divisive imagery. …

Just this week during an assembly at Sidwell Friends, the progressive Quaker school in Washington from which Chelsea Clinton and Malia Obama graduated, a student participating in a trivia contest flashed a user name consisting of two swastikas onto a screen visible to the whole auditorium. …

And in Orange County, Calif., a group of high-school students came under fire for building a swastika out of red, plastic beer cups during a drinking game at a party. Were they bilious members of the alt-right? …

… We do know that the school where the defacements occurred will conduct a read-aloud of “A Picture Book of Anne Frank,” and have students create stenciled murals “around positive messages about diversity and inclusiveness, including around religion,” according to the city’s Department of Education.

I saw a poster in Texas for her upcoming gig in San Antonio. Of course kids acting so kid-like is a nice hit of publicity for that. It is a crime. So is thought now that hate crimes are on the books. Things are made illegal by new laws which may seem unrelated all the time. Civil rights legislation caused a watershed of delegitimization of previous laws now seen as racist, such as rejecting problem customers. This is a necessary condition of our system. Unlike in China, our government cannot contradict itself. Once you have x, you have x+1 -- you don't need to spell it out or even foresee it, a federal judge will ukase it six months from now. It's a favorite trick by the creeping-tyranny Democrats. The red flag law they're forcing through in Michigan will only suspend Constitutional rights and due process at the verbal claim of a close relative -- at first. Once the law is in place it will be a simple matter to simply expand that detail. This is the reason why they ever wanted hate crimes laws in the first place. They get the edge of their crowbar into place and they they work on it.

Excellent point. This ideological insanity is beginning to resemble the behavior of the enforcer-goons in the Soviet Union in the 1930s when wrapping a piece of fish in a newspaper with a photo of Comrade Stalin in it would get you 10 years in the Gulag.
  7. Orange County has traditionally been perceived as anti-semitic by Jews. Especially the coastal communities, like Newport, Huntington, Costa Mesa, etc.

Back in the 80s, Nazi-costumed youths used to supposedly hang out at the Huntington piers.

Outside of LA county, there are still sizeable numbers of White conservatives along the coast of Southern California. Many of them have very good looking children. Tons of Chads and Beckys. I think Jews feel an aversion to these people.

For Jews, the OC is hostile territory.

This Nazi salute thing will exacerbate that perception.

    That should do it.

After all, 12 year-old boys would never goof off in a Very Special Assembly wherein everyone reads aloud from ‘A Picture Book of Anne Frank’ and everyone is forced to create a ‘stenciled mural’ ( for extra certainty about how the mural will turn out).

I’m guessing ‘Asian’ is intentionally ambiguous when describing the kid. Tensions between Jews and a certain ‘Asian’ religion are pretty high right now.

BTW, Toby Stavisky took office in 1999, replacing her husband who joined the NY State Legislature in 1966 and died in office. Given the new demographics of her district, and moderate views, Toby is open to a challenge from a Mohammedan in Prog clothing. (Her son is a big consultant in the City, but his connections were with Crowley’s paper tiger Queens county machine, RIP.)

Toby Stavisky is very much like Phyllis Kahn, who served her district for 44 years until the demographics changed and she was defeated by Rep. Ilhan Omar.

I’ve long predicted that this would be a serious fault line with the Dems, and so it is. The Realignment continues apace. Let’s see how the donors respond.

Paul Krugman says he isn’t concerned about ‘liberal’ antisemitism, but of course Omar’s isn’t coming from her ‘liberalism’ or leftist critique of Israel. Wishful thinking on the Nobel winner’s part.

Is this another case of the police withholding information, from the New York Times and its readers in this case, to give them time to dig a deeper hole, to walk themselves further out on the plank?

Although, now that I think of it, this awkward wording seemed to me to be a foreshadowing of something:

No matter the face of hate, the NYPD, partnered with the community, has ZERO tolerance.

I honestly do not think these kids were drawing a hammer and sickle to target Bukharian Jews:

and even a quite accurate hammer & sickle in chalk in order to annoy their neighborhood’s socially dominant ex-Soviet Central Asian Bukharian Jews.

They were just goofing with cool, edgy symbols.

I think Jews feel an aversion to these people.

It is envy. Fear and loathing. Jews feel inadequate and insecure and have anxiety that their youth will want to intermarry with the attractive Gentiles.

… We do know that the school where the defacements occurred will conduct a read-aloud of “A Picture Book of Anne Frank,” and have students create stenciled murals “around positive messages about diversity and inclusiveness, including around religion,” according to the city’s Department of Education.

    That should do it.

After all, 12 year-old boys would never goof off in a Very Special Assembly wherein everyone reads aloud from 'A Picture Book of Anne Frank' and everyone is forced to create a 'stenciled mural' ( for extra certainty about how the mural will turn out).

I'm guessing 'Asian' is intentionally ambiguous when describing the kid. Tensions between Jews and a certain 'Asian' religion are pretty high right now.

BTW, Toby Stavisky took office in 1999, replacing her husband who joined the NY State Legislature in 1966 and died in office. Given the new demographics of her district, and moderate views, Toby is open to a challenge from a Mohammedan in Prog clothing. (Her son is a big consultant in the City, but his connections were with Crowley's paper tiger Queens county machine, RIP.)

Toby Stavisky is very much like Phyllis Kahn, who served her district for 44 years until the demographics changed and she was defeated by Rep. Ilhan Omar.

I've long predicted that this would be a serious fault line with the Dems, and so it is. The Realignment continues apace. Let's see how the donors respond.

Paul Krugman says he isn't concerned about 'liberal' antisemitism, but of course Omar's isn't coming from her 'liberalism' or leftist critique of Israel. Wishful thinking on the Nobel winner's part.

You nailed my reaction as well Ghost.

Bad enough to have to get your required dose of tedious tolerance indoctrination in the form of the diary of a long dead self-absorbed teen girl. But the sheer joy of getting an extra special dose of be-nice-and-behave lecturing from tedious women in the form of readings about this same girl and then stencil in propaganda … that’s just gotta be the pitch perfect way to motivate adolescent boys.

  41. I have a simple solution to this national crisis: Let’s go ahead and officially rehabilitate the swastika.

As everyone here is aware it’s not the Nazis’ symbol. It a cool looking design and has a long deep history in human civilization, especially among Indo-European peoples. In the West it’s been around forever, shows up in a variety of contexts and was considering lucky. And in the East–Hinduism, Buddhism–it’s a very auspicious symbol, and hasn’t undergone the whole de-Nazification thing.

The Hindus and Buddhist aren’t giving it up. And since by Jewish ideology we’re “a nation of immigrants”–i.e. immigration forever–and there are way way way more Hindus and Buddhists in the world than Jews, it’s certain that America will eventually be a pro-swastika nation again.

So let’s just get it over with. Rehabilitate the swastika now and we can all stop pissing and moaning over 12 year old boys drawing them. (They’ll have to work on–the much more complicated–penis-labia chalk art to get a rise out of the “grown ups”.)

Seriously, if I wanted to wear a shirt with a swastika on it... it's an offensive symbol and I have no desire to create a scene, but technically there is nothing illegal about this is there?

I mean, we were told it's OK to burn the Stars and Stripes, because it's merely a symbol and we have freedom of expression. A swastika is merely a symbol as well, and we are still supposed to have freedom of expression. I just don't recall such hysteria over washroom swastika graffiti in the past. Generally, It was washed off and people went on with their day.

There is a hysteria being generated out of almost nothing. It's a strange thing to witness. To think that a chalk swastika drawn by children has been getting national press for a week. It's remarkable, and a bit scary.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/07/opinion/case-for-reparations.html

He sat next to a black woman who claimed that black people have it worse today than they did in 1953. Therefore, apparently, it follows that if we just turbocharge everything we’ve done since then, the results will somehow reverse everything that they claim has gone wrong.

The relevant aphorism is, “When in a hole, start digging much faster.” I may not have that exactly right–I’m working from memory.

  74. So, the next time a Hindu draws what the Germans called the “bent cross” [I’ll have to look up the actual German-language term, but it was never “swastika!”] then Hari, Rami, or whoever will be promptly arrested?

  75. The Utterly Deranged Powers that Be only thought it was a crime when they thought a white kid it. Now that is known to be an African American and an “Asian” (Pakistani?) all is well. Youthful hijinks. Just chalk. Old Meme: Indication of Trump Racist Society. New Meme: Thoughtful anti-zionist protest of some kind that should be encouraged.

  76. @Stephen Paul Foster
"Not only is drawing a swastika in chalk not a “hate crime”, it is not a crime period. What the hell crime is it? It cannot be vandalism because it is non-permanent chalk that would wash away in the first rain."

Excellent point. This ideological insanity is beginning to resemble the behavior of the enforcer-goons in the Soviet Union in the 1930s when wrapping a piece of fish in a newspaper with a photo of Comrade Stalin in it would get you 10 years in the Gulag.

    Vey!!

Time for mandatory “Holocaust Studies” to be introduced in the NYC elementary school system.

And stawdink at pre-K. What is it awready?

    This. Will. Not. Be. Tolerated.

  77. I read numerous news reports about the arrest, including two NYPD twitter accounts and every one of the states that a single 12 YO AA male was arrested. The only report of a second Asian 12 YO is from the story in the NY Times.

Did they simply invent the second suspect?

  78. For the umpteenth time, a NY Times article descends into parody.

  79. @Ghost of Bull Moose

Agree that the punishment session with the Anne Frank Picture Book and the struggle session forced art stencils with the moving and healing diversity themes will drive them straight to 4chan.

What do the people at the D. of E. think this will accomplish? Weren’t they ever twelve-year-old kids?

They were suckups then and since that’s when they reached maturity, being either female or effeminate, they’re still suckups now.

    Not complicated.

The old Shriner's Temple in Chicago had tiny swastikas inlaid in the interior walls.

    Pretty cool, you ask me.

I’ve seen it in 19th-century churches, stained glass.

I missed the memo declaring "Asians" as people of color--the new go-to category for the anti-white brigade.

The gym I use has plenty of Asians and Hispanics--none of them appear to me as "of color." Blacks, however, do.

I’m wondering if the media is adopting the British euphemism for Pakistanis and other Muslims: Asian, which we use to refer to Chinese, Japanese, or Koreans.

    I call them Orientals.

Indians I call Indians. Pakis I call Pakis, or they can be called subcontinentals, or in the case of mislim Paks, Middle Easterners.

"Asian" could mean anything, including white. Isn't a bunch of Russia in Asia? No one calls Putin an "Asian".

About 30 years ago, when I was teaching at a large midwestern university, a professor of education told me he thought that South Pacific song was just about the most profound song ever written. I asked if we have so much trouble teaching algebra, how come we are so successful teaching hate. Maybe we should use the same methods.

It’s also the worst, lamest song of the musical. Preachy and well-meaning, of course.

“An Auschwitz survivor and stepsister of Holocaust diarist Anne Frank will meet on Thursday with some California high school students seen in viral online photos giving Nazi salutes over a swastika made of red cups used in a drinking game.”

Before it’s too late, the ADL/SPLC should consider using some of their vast resources to clone at least one Holocaust survivor. This person can then be quickly mobilized anytime a pre-schooler draws a swastika on the playground or high schoolers play Swastika Beer Pong.

I saw her on TV. With all the Anne Frank propaganda all these years, I’d never heard of her. The mother died so she must be the daughter of con artist Otto by a second marriage. Never heard of his second marriage either.

A thousand years from now Holocaust month will be bigger than Easter and Christmas; excuse me conspicuous consumption of Chinese crap on cred cards and spring break.
