Reaching out to minorities is a loser for the right – except in the case of US-born kids of Asian descent. Most of them want to be American and most of them are fine people, the kind you’d want for your neighbors. It’d only take a few tweaks – such as coming out publicly against affirmative action on the grounds that it discriminates against Asian-Americans – and they’d go GOP forever.

Way OT, but as I was exploring how one might use Shiny in web applications, I encountered an example which is pretty interesting for exhibiting the population explosion problem in Africa. It displays various population growth features in all countries, based on recent UN data.

My children are nearly half nonwhite (my wife is Filipina) and are being raised to fit in well among the saner segment of commenters on sites like unz, vdare, and takimag.
