From the Daily Mail:

[Michele] McPhee, an Emmy-award nominated reporter with the ABC News investigative team, writes that he felt ‘double crossed’ and that he turned on America for failing to keep up its side of the bargain after he worked for them.

In Maximum Harm, McPhee says that as a result the federal government played a ‘direct role in creating the monster that Tamerlan Tsarnaev became’.

She argues that they recruited Tamerlan as an operative in late 2010 and that he was the ‘perfect candidate’ because he was ‘broke, desperate for citizenship and with a new wife and a baby to take care of, he spoke fluent English, Russian and a dialect of Chechen’.

Tamerlan was not jailed for his involvement in a triple murder in 2011 because he was ‘too valuable as an asset working for the federal government on a drug case with ties to overseas terrorism’.

Tamerlan was also providing them with intelligence on the mosque he attended and its ties to Al Qaeda.

Another issue was where Tamerlan got his money from. On Tamerlan’s death certificate the Medical Examiner listed ‘Never Worked’ as his occupation but he drove a Mercedes. …

McPhee told DailyMail.com that she believed that the CIA were running Tamerlan while he was in Russia and that the FBI were in charge of him when he returned to America, citing sources she had spoken to. …

McPhee writes: ‘Surely to stop Tamerlan at the airport for additional screening based on his physical profile alone – he was a dark-skinned Muslim male with a long beard – or because he was leaving a terrorist hotbed would have been insensitive racial profiling.

‘But the idea that a man whose name was on two terrorist watch lists somehow managed to clear customs because government officials claimed his name was misspelled on those lists is inconceivable.

Well, never attribute to malice etc. The reporter admits she doesn’t have proof.

But the whole Tsarnaev story has always been insanely screwy.

To get something this messed up, it helps to have the government involved. The more outrageous the atrocity, the more likely that agents provocateur and deep state officials have embarrassing ties.

Even the long Daily Mail story leaves out interesting details like Tamerlan’s Uncle Ruslan’s CIA connections.

And then there’s the unmentioned question of how in the world Tamerlan’s buddy Ibragim Todashev, a suspect in the Waltham triple ritual homicide on the tenth anniversary of 9/11, got refugee status or asylum or whatever, when his father back home in Russia was only a few steps down the org chart from Vlad Putin and Ramzan Kadyrov. Todashev got gunned down by the FBI halfway through writing up his confession (according to the FBI).

Maybe Todashev was a Chechen/Russian double agent working for Kadyrov and Putin? (His dad was a pretty high-ranking government official resporting to the mayor of Grozny who was appointed by Chechen strongman Kadyrov who was appointed by Vlad.)

Maybe Tamerlan saw himself as a triple agent working for Putin and the CIA and the Chechen Islamist rebels?

Maybe it was all Chuck Barris-like bluster to impress dumb girls and drug-induced paranoia?

Screenshot 2017-03-23 00.40.14

Indeed.

But this kind of stuff does get confusing. It’s like a John le Carré “wilderness of mirrors” spy novel, if everybody involved had been punched in the head a lot.

By the way, the Washington Post has gone back in to the back issues to update their 2013 story to read that the Tsarnaevs weren’t refugees (since we all know that only idiots like Trump worry about refugees), they were asylees.

Totally different.

I’ve long called for a National Immigration Safety Board, modeled on the National Transportation Safety Board, to study and publicly report upon massive fiascos like the Tsarnaeves.

  1. Tamerlan’s uncle Ruslan had been married to the daughter of former top CIA official Graham Fuller. Move along now, nothing to see here!

    • Replies: @Inquiring Mind
When I heard Uncle Ruslan castigating those two on TV, my first reaction was "How refreshing!" He exclaimed, "They are losers!", a welcome change from the trope that they were misunderstood, couldn't have done this, and if they did, it is because everyone in the U.S. is a racist xenophobe? That was pretty much the reaction of Momma and Poppa to what their two dear sons were accused of?

Later it occurred to me that Uncle Ruslan was engaged in an activity in which he had practice. An activity that a lot of folks where he is from have lots of practice? That Ruslan was "denouncing" his wayward nephews in the style of how Soviet citizens were once expected to "denounce" close relatives in trouble with the authorities?

The Fuller reveal, however, adds another level to this.

  2. Accurate or not, we have the impression that the CIA was a kind of club of Yalies back in the day. How much are the intelligence agencies family affairs? How much does having a relative in an agency raise your chances of being in the agency yourself?

    • Replies: @Sunbeam
More importantly to me, is there any evidence that the CIA has ever been effective at being an intelligence agency?

Literally what have they ever gotten right?
    , @Sid
In the early days of the CIA (including back when it was the OSS), it was dominated by Yalies and other Ivy Leaguers. This was true up until around the 70s or so. Around that time, Ivy Leaguers went to Wall Street, while former military types staffed the CIA. It had a vastly different office culture in the 80s than it did in the 50s.

Nowadays, I imagine a lot of the field agents are military types, but the analysts are probably IR and cultural studies majors. This is likely why the CIA has such a venomous center-left perspective on current events today (i.e., Assad needs to be overthrown by jihadis, Putin is the worst human being since Hitler, etc.)
  3. Mother of pearl the CIA and FBI are rotten to the core.

  4. On a similar matter, was Oklahoma Bomber Timothy McVeigh working for the American Deep State ? Lots of people who have studied the case think so. Is McVeigh still alive ? Quite possibly, as there is no independent evidence that he has been executed.
What is the evidence that Tsarnaev is dead and his brother in prison ?

  6. No big deal, but French (like Spanish and all Romance languages) has the principle of “noun-pronoun agreement”: the adjective “agrees with” the noun in both number and gender.

So it’s “casa blanca”, “casas blancas”, “agent provocateur”, and “agents provocateurs“.

    • Replies: @Eustace Tilley (not)
Sorry. Meant to say "noun-adjective agreement".
  7. Was Boston Bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev Working for the U.S. Deep State?

Almost certainly he was. The pattern is getting more and more obvious.

Although I have no truck with 9/11 Truthers, it seems pretty clear that the government wasn’t exactly anxious about foiling the terror plots that were afoot that day. 9/11 was not a “false flag,” but a real act of terror done under the cover of some convoluted Deep State op that had long since gotten out of control.

ISIS is even more obviously a creation of the American Deep State that has slipped the leash. That is why the Obama administration was never serious about defeating them, but instead flew 9000 sorties to bomb empty grid squares in the desert.

Of course it is very difficult to definitively prove any of this, and the hypotheses one posits to connect the dots may well turn out to be wrong in the details; but the discerning mind can still start to perceive the truth seeping through the tissue of interwoven lies, like being in a sorcerer’s castle on certain moonlit nights, when the blood of the imprisoned souls oozes through the tapestries on the walls.

  9. Isn’t the State Department just official cover for a certain intelligence agency?

  10. Makes sense, the shooting of Todashev remains the most alarming aspect as it sounds like an execution.

Used to think the various lefty conspiracy theories about heroin smuggling from SE Asia in the 70s and cocaine from Latin America in the 80s, the JFK assassination etc. were nonsense. I know better now.

    • Replies: @Art Deco
No, you don't know better. See Richard Grenier on Kennedy Assassination aficionados. Most aren't serious leftists and have no coherent perspective (except thinking they live in a mad world with monsters under the bed).
  11. doesn’t every refugee get a free mercedes

  12. Goes a long way to explain why the city of Boston was completely shut down for one man vs some of the other terror issues when it hasn’t been a huge deal to find the suspect so quickly.

  13. Times like this you wish Trump was more Nixonian and less Trumpian. Trump will try to win propaganda victories in a blustering manner “Obama spied on me” which kind of works I suppose. Will it lead to any change except saving face for his supporters.

But imagine the propaganda coup of a proper investigation of this Tsarnaev affair. It hits on some of the issues Trump has brought up. Corruption and incompetence in the bureaucracy, the obstacle that is PC, immigration, etc. And on top of this he can get one over his current enemies in the deep state and use it as a pretence to restructure it and immigration. Perhaps Bannon+Miller aren’t that smart or maybe they don’t quite have the influence imagined.

Has there been obvious decline in Deep State attributable to diversity?
The more I notice the issue the more it comes up in varied places. A professor I had International Studies told the class about how from the 70’s onward the was an increasing diversification of the UN and how Western powers would start to set up parallel institutions to maintain the efficacy and integrity of the UN work. This annoyed the now diverse UN institutions. When I pressed him on what was going he tried to walk a middle line but had to acknowledge that third world countries wouldn’t exactly send their best to represent them and that this had a highly corrupting influence. Not to mention the lowering of the competency. Not exactly Scandinavian material like Dag Hammarskjöld.

    >>Times like this you wish Trump was more Nixonian and less Trumpian.

No. Nixon fought the deep state and the deep state won. Having a deep state plant like Kissinger as national security advisor was not a smart move.
  14. anonymous • Disclaimer says:

Of course some government agency was involved. They were waved through under false pretext as refugees/asylum seekers when that was obviously untrue and apparent to anyone who’d spend a few minutes checking. They were going to be recruits of some sort but turned out to be marginal and criminal. The reporter speculates as to motive for the eventual blowup so that’s up for discussion. Thanks to Mr Sailer for having zeroed in on the buggy nature of this case early on.

    That is my initial impression.

Any alibi/excuse like this would be red meat for younger brother's defense attorney.

More likely a family propensity for violence (maybe shared with his CIA uncle) led him into drug dealing and any cover up over drug killings was to protect the CIA/uncle/citizenship for good terrorists program.
    , @Bill
Pretty sure the point is that they murdered and maimed random individuals here because of the CIA.
  17. There are enough murders committed by Federal agencies to make anyone a conspiracy theorist. I’m even re-thinking JFK. How did he get 3 shots off in 6 seconds?

How did he get 3 shots off in 6 seconds?

That's easy. I can do that and I'm nothing much with a rifle. Just do it in your head. Get your iPhone or whatever stop watch. Hit start, then go:

BANG! khu-chunk (make sound and motion of operating a rifle bolt)
    BANG! khu-chunk
    BANG!

Even without rushing the bolt movement you have plenty of time. Remember, you only move the bolt twice. The first bullet is already in the chamber.

I'm assuming he was resting the rifle on something when shooting, but I don't know.

Yep; just quickly off the top of my head:

1970, Kent State University, four unarmed students.
1992, Ruby Ridge, Idaho, unarmed teenager Sammy Weaver, his unarmed mother, Vickie Weaver, and their dog.
1996, Waco, TX, 76 American men, women, and children that just want to be left alone on their own property.

No government agent was punished for any of the above 82 murders or the slaughter of the dog.

You do know that "Conspiracy theory" was a rarely used term until it was implanted into the mainstream media by the CIA in the mid 60's as the Warren Report bullshit was unraveling, don't you?

Israel police arrest suspect in threats on US Jewish targets

    By DANIEL ESTRIN
    Just now
JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli police on Thursday arrested a 19-year-old Israeli Jewish man as the primary suspect in a string of bomb threats targeting Jewish community centers and other institutions in the U.S., marking a potential breakthrough in a case that stoked fears across the United States.

“He’s the guy who was behind the JCC threats,” Rosenfeld said, referring to the dozens of anonymous threats phoned in to Jewish community centers in the U.S. over the past two months.

Rosenfeld said the suspect allegedly placed dozens of threatening phone calls to public venues, synagogues and community buildings in the U.S., New Zealand and Australia. He also placed a threat to Delta Airlines, causing a flight in February 2015 to make an emergency landing.

At first glance, I'd say the motivation is crystal clear: Hate Hoax.

Two other points in the article: Article claims that the 18-19 y.o. American Israeli who had been making these phone threats (from his bedroom? What is the relevance of this detail?) could not have been motivated by anti-Semitism because he is Jewish. Not necessarily.

Article also repeats claim about vandalism at Jewish cemeteries, even though we had a strong rebuttal about this two weeks ago, namely, that headstones (and not just Jewish ones) topple due to age, and are left on site.

I realize some people think that only covers "some" of the gravestones, but let's think this through. If someone commits desecration or vandalism they are usually doing it to demonstrate hatred or contempt, and they wish to inspire upsetting emotions in their targets. For example, this is why people don't normally burn American flags in their backyards.

If you have a cemetery with many overturned gravestones from natural causes, then sneaking into the cemetery to flip over some more is going to have zero effect. Hence, it just does not compute to me as a good setting for committing a hate crime.

Speaking of which, as a student of Eastern Europe, I know that many cemeteries over there have been ravaged in the 20th Century for many groups. It's sad, and I feel for the many ethnic groups involved, including Jews. I would also point out that it happens in the US, too, the settlement of this country means that there are many scattered family plots or impromptu plots that were never properly recorded and/or have never been properly preserved or respected.

Getting back on topic, I checked ADL to see if they had further comment, their stance is that the lack of hate crimes legislation in five states is the motivation for these cemetery attacks.

It's pretty obvious that the wave of anti-semitic crime hoaxes was directed against Trump. The fact that the guy in Israel was arrested as well as the "journalist" in Missouri as well as the guy in Schenectady (2 day ago) may indicate that Sessions and DOJ begin to act on the side of Trump. Too bad that Sessions recused himself on Russian hacking investigation but with the revelation from Devin Nunes Sessions may get involved in Trump team surveillance that most likely was conducted by Brits just like Napolitano claimed.

  20. Back when Trump ordered Homeland Security to make public reports on illegal immigrant crimes, some very smart jews informed us that publicly reporting on crimes by immigrants is the first step leading to another holocaust. So sadly I don’t think the National Immigration Safety Board is going to fly.

  21. Tsarnaev the younger was in the year below me at UMass Dartmouth. After the attack, a girl in a student group I was in admitted to spending time hanging out with him, and said he spent most of his time smoking pot in his dorm, and never went to class.

No explanation why the university did not kick him out after multiple failing semesters, but considering the 6 year graduation rate of 46%, one can guess.

UMD is a huge offender when it comes to accepting foreign students paying full tuition, with special (read: fake) classes just for them so they can nominally graduate with an American degree. Most of these students have only the faintest grasp of the English language, and so they all receive gentlemen’s C’s.

They wanted to increase the gravy train, so when I was graduating they were discussing a “downtown campus” specifically for these foreign students, to hide them from faculty and American students who would be unhappy to have students getting the same degree despite not having earned it, or even being able to write a basic essay in English.

Perhaps if Tsarnaev had been in the foreign student cash cow track with a plan to go home afterwards to command industry with his prestigious American degree, rather than in the american track where many fail out, he wouldn’t have been so easily radicalized by his brother.

But I never heard anyone at UMass ask any of these questions, and as far as I know it’s business as usual, at this and many other American universities.

    • Agree: E. Rekshun

UMASS Dartmouth has a 4-year completion rate of 28%. That's under par, but normal range (I think it's about the median for Ohio's public colleges, to take one example). The share of students recruited from abroad (6.5%) is higher than normal (about 3.5%), but still a contextually modest number.

'Home' in this case would be in Russia, where an American degree is no more prestigious than a Russian degree is in America.

Yossef Bodansky wrote a book called Chechen Jihad (2007). 10 minutes before the Boston attack I began to wonder if we were due for a Chechen attack and I decided to call Bodansky’s boss, Greg Copley, at the International Strategic Studies Association. First time I talked to Copley, who some believe is the greatest strategic thinker in Western Civilization. We started talking at 2:44 PM and spoke for a little over 4 minutes. Copley hadn’t heard anything about an impending attack and we ended up talking about immigration, secession and making U.S. population more “efficient.” Call ended, walked off putting green and ordered a beer in the clubhouse. Minutes later saw the attack on TV. According to the final FBI timeline the first bomb was placed on the ground at 2:45 pm, bombs went off at 2:49 pm (exact minute Copley phone call ended). Took a pic of an image from the cell phone used to make the call and posted it at the top of my Twitter @Uranus_Einstein.

There are indeed older cemeteries where the gravestones have toppled from age or settlement. Apparently in old graveyards in the UK this is so widespread that they have a program of intentionally laying the stones down so they don't fall and hurt visitors. But the incidents that have been in the news (St. Louis and Philadelphia come to mind) clearly involved vandalism - hundreds of stones did not just topple on their own overnight.

    http://www.jewishledger.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Philadelphia-Jewish-cemetery-vandalized-620x350.jpg

As for E. Europe, there are the ravages of neglect and then there is intentional destruction.

When I visited the Jewish cemetery in my father's shtetl, it was clearly neglected but it was also clearly a cemetery - a number of monuments were still intact as was the iron fence that surrounded it. There is a neglected Jewish cemetery not far from where I live that is in no better shape.

    https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7MFNw1q5Y38/WLR9Eqdo4lI/AAAAAAAAIes/fFmiAgutEegI3EKyDV5orYac4-Elzpl3wCLcB/w1200-h630-p-k-no-nu/Pan_email.jpg

But, when I visited my mother's shtetl in Western Ukraine, a toothless old man pointed us to a nearby hill. At first we thought he had mislead us because it was just an empty field. Finally after searching for a while, we found 1 fragment of a gravestone with Hebrew lettering.

When we got down I asked a different toothless old lady what happened to the Jewish cemetery. She told me that after the war they had used all the gravestones to pave the floor of the cow barn at the kolkhoz (collective farm).

There are assholes and crazies going about their business all the time, sometimes calling in bomb threats, sometimes harassing some random person for some reason, sometimes desecrating graves or spray painting swastikas or ethnic slurs on houses.

Sometimes news media start paying attention, either because of slow news day, or a desired narrative they want to push, or because of some spectacular attack that gets everyone paying attention. And then, two things happen:

    a. We see more coverage of this stuff, which seems like it means that more is happening but might just mean stuff nobody bothered reporting last year now gets reported.

    b. Crazy people and assholes see the coverage, and their craziness or assholish nature seizes on the idea and they do more of it.

Tamerlan's uncle Ruslan had been married to the daughter of former top CIA official Graham Fuller. Move along now, nothing to see here!

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_E._Fuller#After_government

When I heard Uncle Ruslan castigating those two on TV, my first reaction was “How refreshing!” He exclaimed, “They are losers!”, a welcome change from the trope that they were misunderstood, couldn’t have done this, and if they did, it is because everyone in the U.S. is a racist xenophobe? That was pretty much the reaction of Momma and Poppa to what their two dear sons were accused of?

Later it occurred to me that Uncle Ruslan was engaged in an activity in which he had practice. An activity that a lot of folks where he is from have lots of practice? That Ruslan was “denouncing” his wayward nephews in the style of how Soviet citizens were once expected to “denounce” close relatives in trouble with the authorities?

The Fuller reveal, however, adds another level to this.

I remember he said something like "if you aren't dead already, turn yourself in".

I immediately understood that to be a demand that joker kill himself.

That's what the "loser" bit was about too. He was denying him family glory and promising shame and therefore hoping the nephew would kill himself before all of the details about the uncle were investigated and made public.

    He needn't have worried!

  30. @Chrisnonymous
Accurate or not, we have the impression that the CIA was a kind of club of Yalies back in the day. How much are the intelligence agencies family affairs? How much does having a relative in an agency raise your chances of being in the agency yourself?

OT – But there may be a break in the string of bomb threats made to the Jewish centers around the nation.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli police on Thursday arrested a 19-year-old Israeli Jewish man as the primary suspect in a string of bomb threats targeting Jewish community centers and other institutions in the U.S., marking a potential breakthrough in the case.

Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld described the suspect as a hacker, but said his motives were still unclear. Israeli media identified him as an American-Israeli dual citizen and said he had been found unfit for compulsory service in the Israeli military.

“He’s the guy who was behind the JCC threats,” Rosenfeld said, referring to the dozens of anonymous threats phoned in to Jewish community centers in the U.S. over the past two months.

The FBI, which had taken part in the investigation, confirmed the arrest but had no other comment.

The Anti-Defamation League says there have been more than 150 bomb threats against Jewish community centers and day schools in 37 states and two Canadian provinces since Jan. 9. Those threats led to evacuations of the buildings, upset Jewish communities and raised fears of rising anti-Semitism. The threats were accompanied by acts of vandalism on several Jewish cemeteries.

The threats led to criticism of President Donald Trump’s administration for not speaking out fast enough. Last month, the White House denounced the threats and rejected “anti-Semitic and hateful threats in the strongest terms.”

U.S. authorities have also arrested a former journalist from St. Louis for allegedly threatening Jewish organizations. Juan Thompson has been indicted in New York on one count of cyberstalking.

But Israeli police described the local man as the primary suspect in the wave of threats.

using jihadists as a cat's paw is always a bad idea

  39. I too wonder how Tamerlane got all his money. I earn decent money in SoCal and I drive old, crappy cars.

I’d agree that his working for the government as some informer is likely, if only because SO MANY Jihadis in Europe were the same — informers who at the same time were ardent jihadis and went on to kill people for Jihad and Islam. There is no “betrayal” here — Tamerlane got: all the chicks he wanted including some teen virgin and another one who became his wife and bore him a son while working 70 hours a week to support him. Along with that Mercedes. His brother cut a wide swath through the female student population.

The motivation is pretty clear — Muslims like killing people, they do it at every opportunity. And they do it because the rewards for doing it are pretty big — women all over the place. Its WHY PC and suchlike defend Muslims ESPECIALLY after they kill a bunch of people. It turns on gays and women who get a thrill up their legs about the killing because its dominance which stimulates them the way baseball statistics and math and science generally turn them off.

Part of not being conquered and ruled as slaves by Muslims, their ultimate goal per Erdogan and others, is crushing gays and women who are the natural and eternal enemy of White men due to their love of violence by men. White men have largely escaped the violence trap — it turns women on but the consequences can be horrific, from Verdun to Rwanda to Nagasaki to Dresden. This has been at considerable cost — and White women and gays want to go right back there figuring the violence won’t affect *THEM* (it will but they are stupid) because it turns them on. Yes its that simple.

Thought experiment — if Muslims (and Black criminals) were magically turned into nerdy dudes who obsessed over baseball stats and killed people with a keystroke on a laptop, would women and gays get all hot and bothered by them? My guess is no — its the up close and personal stuff that turns them on.

  41. @SPMoore8

There are indeed older cemeteries where the gravestones have toppled from age or settlement. Apparently in old graveyards in the UK this is so widespread that they have a program of intentionally laying the stones down so they don’t fall and hurt visitors. But the incidents that have been in the news (St. Louis and Philadelphia come to mind) clearly involved vandalism – hundreds of stones did not just topple on their own overnight.

As for E. Europe, there are the ravages of neglect and then there is intentional destruction.

When I visited the Jewish cemetery in my father’s shtetl, it was clearly neglected but it was also clearly a cemetery – a number of monuments were still intact as was the iron fence that surrounded it. There is a neglected Jewish cemetery not far from where I live that is in no better shape.

But, when I visited my mother’s shtetl in Western Ukraine, a toothless old man pointed us to a nearby hill.

In many English churchyards old gravestones have been removed and used as paving stones or as edging stones for embankments (I wonder if over the centuries the ground rises as more and more are buried, while the paths stay at the same, church door level?).

Don't recall it happening within living memory. The 'repurposed' stones I've seen are always old enough that no close relative is likely to make a fuss - like 200 years old. Still seems odd though, to deliberately remove a memorial.

Same as date of birth and other information would have been asked. Ever taken a child or friend to an emergency room? Ever been around when a co worker or fellow tenant has a heart attack? The medics will ask anyone who is around what is the name of the victim and other information such as: has the person been ill? Do you know if he or she was seeing a Dr?

I think it's very common in Europe that you only get a grave for a certain # of years and then if there's no family to pay again they reuse the plot. You can imagine that otherwise Europe would be covered with cemeteries by now.

Even in the US cemeteries are not as permanent as you might think. There were a number of older cemeteries in downtown Philadelphia that were built over long ago when they were less sentimental about such things. They were supposed to "relocate" the graves to cemeteries further out but in fact this was done in a very slapdash manner. Just recently they were digging to build a new apartment building on land that had once been a cemetery that was supposedly "relocated" in the 19th century and they found hundreds of graves, like something from a horror movie. The relocation must have consisted of removing the tombstones - too much work digging up all those graves by hand.. Fortunately these were white people - if they had found blacks they would have been forced to build a museum which is what happened when they found a black cemetery in lower Manhattan. But since these are just white people they are just going to relocate the bones to the cemetery where they are already supposed to be and then proceed with the construction.

In Germany, many church graveyards go back many centuries and filled out long, long ago.

So for centuries they have been reusing grave plots there.

Once common scheme is 20 years for an individual plot, 40 years for a family plot.

A graveyard will fill up a section in series. Then after the last lease in that section expires, they removed the headstones, return them to family if desired/possible, and exhume what remains may remain. They then leave the section fallow for a bit after clearing, then start the process over.

It is illegal to bury an embalmed body, as it won't decay. There is much discussion in Germany about the best soil conditions to encourage decay of bodies in graveyards.

Despite this being an age old practice in Germany, it can still be traumatic when a grave is cleared and loved ones are still alive.

Back on topic, the baby boom/chechny series of articles were among the best of iSteve IMO.

Israeli police earlier said they arrested the Israeli Jewish man and considered him the primary suspect in the threats. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said Thursday the suspect's motives are unclear."

Some family members lived in section 8, paying 1/3 of the cash welfare check, maybe $300.00 a month for rent and some utilities. They were also on food stamps. Plus he was a student and got the Pell and other grants which never need to be paid back.

The murder investigation was botched. Then after the Boston bombings when the FBI was interviewing his supposed accomplice in the murders the accomplice confessed and then grabbed for the FBI agent's gun whereupon he was shot and killed (or at least this is what the FBI says happened).

Law enforcement really did not cover themselves with glory from start to finish in this case, including when another cop was hit with friendly fire when they were chasing the brothers.

If it hadn't been for the Chinese guy who escaped his carjacking and told the cops that he had a GPS tracker in his Mercedes, who knows when the cops would have caught up with the brothers - probably after they had bombed Time Square if then.

Abhorrent idea from the perspective of a bureaucrat exploiting lethal levels of moral hazard to indulge spymaster fantasies.

  63. The thing about not arresting him for the triple murder because he was an anti-terrorism asset sounds insanely unbelievable.

However, the highly accurately detailed TV show The Wire in its second season (the only White one) shows a local police detective reflexively know that the Greek head of a huge international drug cartel will get away with murder because he is considered an asset by DHS.

Also, I spoke at length with the Indian official in charge of investigating the Mumbai attack and he said that the mastermind, David Coleman Headley got away with incredible crimes over and over again because he was an asset. In fact, based on his experience, he was actually surprised that his asset status didn’t get him out of that whole Mumbai unpleasantness too.

Before the medical examiners office wrote never worked on the occupation line the clerk would have asked relatives what his occupation was. No, he and his younger brother did not murder and maim random individuals because the CIA destroyed their authentic Wally & Beaver character. This woman's a blockhead, and likely an attention-whore fantasist to boot.

    That is my initial impression.

Any alibi/excuse like this would be red meat for younger brother’s defense attorney.

  79. anon • Disclaimer says:

    Maybe.

His uncle clearly worked for the CIA in Chechnya and if the family got into the US because of that then that would be a good enough reason to cover up for the nephews.

Although contra that – a triple murder is a sizable thing.

Many colonial era gravestones in the US are completely illegible, that's probably part of it. They fall down, they can't be read, whatever. I've heard in Scotland they actually reused graves after a dignified interval. Still kind of sad. Then again Mozart is buried in an unmarked grave, and when I was in the service we did numerous burials at sea.

I think it’s very common in Europe that you only get a grave for a certain # of years and then if there’s no family to pay again they reuse the plot. You can imagine that otherwise Europe would be covered with cemeteries by now.

Even in the US cemeteries are not as permanent as you might think. There were a number of older cemeteries in downtown Philadelphia that were built over long ago when they were less sentimental about such things. They were supposed to “relocate” the graves to cemeteries further out but in fact this was done in a very slapdash manner. Just recently they were digging to build a new apartment building on land that had once been a cemetery that was supposedly “relocated” in the 19th century and they found hundreds of graves, like something from a horror movie. The relocation must have consisted of removing the tombstones – too much work digging up all those graves by hand.. Fortunately these were white people – if they had found blacks they would have been forced to build a museum which is what happened when they found a black cemetery in lower Manhattan. But since these are just white people they are just going to relocate the bones to the cemetery where they are already supposed to be and then proceed with the construction.

More likely a family propensity for violence (maybe shared with his CIA uncle) led him into drug dealing and any cover up over drug killings was to protect the CIA/uncle/citizenship for good terrorists program.

  82. @Alden
"Tamerlan was not jailed for his involvement in a triple murder in 2011'

He was not jailed because there was no evidence whatsoever that he was either a murderer or an accessory.

The murder investigation was botched. Then after the Boston bombings when the FBI was interviewing his supposed accomplice in the murders the accomplice confessed and then grabbed for the FBI agent’s gun whereupon he was shot and killed (or at least this is what the FBI says happened).

Law enforcement really did not cover themselves with glory from start to finish in this case, including when another cop was hit with friendly fire when they were chasing the brothers.

If it hadn’t been for the Chinese guy who escaped his carjacking and told the cops that he had a GPS tracker in his Mercedes, who knows when the cops would have caught up with the brothers – probably after they had bombed Time Square if then.

  83. I think that it is important to realize that this “Deep State” narrative does not really change the policy proposals most of us support.

Arguing that the Deep State is involved in these affairs is essentially a method of white-washing Islam. If the Deep State is behind Tsarnaev, 9/11, tube bombings, and Westminster Bridge, then why are we so worried about Muslims? We just need to attack a Shadow Government or dismiss Islamic expressions of war on the West as so much CIA agitprop.

The thing to remember is that Deep State machinations would be impossible without the fodder available to manipulate. Actual jihadis, Muslims with legitimate grievances, Muslim patsies and other “manipulables” are necessary for Deep State plans to succeed. They would never be able to do this with the Amish.

Therefore, the solution to Deep State manipulation is the same: end mass immigration of Muslims and deport the Muslims that are here. Without jihadis, patsies and legitimate grievancers, the Deep State can’t operate.

The whole Mail article is a limited hangout shoring up of an increasingly unraveling false flag operation.

that was my take also – something is unraveling somewhere and this is deflection

(although i’m not convinced about the false flag bit. HBD is the most likely answer imo. the character traits that got the uncle recruited by the CIA to blow up Russian school children in exchange for a passport are the character traits that might lead the nephew to get into drug dealing and jihadism)

Times like this you wish Trump was more Nixonian and less Trumpian. Trump will try to win propaganda victories in a blustering manner "Obama spied on me" which kind of works I suppose.

Perhaps Bannon+Miller aren't that smart or maybe they don't quite have the influence imagined.

Has there been obvious decline in Deep State attributable to diversity?
The more I notice the issue the more it comes up in varied places. A professor I had International Studies told the class about how from the 70's onward the was an increasing diversification of the UN and how Western powers would start to set up parallel institutions to maintain the efficacy and integrity of the UN work. This annoyed the now diverse UN institutions. When I pressed him on what was going he tried to walk a middle line but had to acknowledge that third world countries wouldn't exactly send their best to represent them and that this had a highly corrupting influence.

Martin Kramer: "Jews living in blue state suburbs inhabit the most secure domain known to humankind since Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden. There is nothing that will change that on the horizon.

So the episode says more about the abiding insecurities of American Jews and the organizational dynamics of the community, than it says about anti-Semitism. That is certainly a topic worthy of closer scrutiny."

Most of these students have only the faintest grasp of the English language, and so they all receive gentlemen's C's.

They wanted to increase the gravy train, so when I was graduating they were discussing a "downtown campus" specifically for these foreign students, to hide them from faculty and American students who would be unhappy to have students getting the same degree despite not having earned it, or even being able to write a basic essay in English.

Perhaps if Tsarnaev had been in the foreign student cash cow track with a plan to go home afterwards to command industry with his prestigious American degree, rather than in the american track where many fail out, he wouldn't have been so easily radicalized by his brother.

But I never heard anyone at UMass ask any of these questions, and as far as I know it's business as usual, at this and many other American universities.

UMASS Dartmouth has a 4-year completion rate of 28%. That’s under par, but normal range (I think it’s about the median for Ohio’s public colleges, to take one example). The share of students recruited from abroad (6.5%) is higher than normal (about 3.5%), but still a contextually modest number.

It is illegal to bury an embalmed body, as it won’t decay. There is much discussion in Germany about the best soil conditions to encourage decay of bodies in graveyards.

Despite this being an age old practice in Germany, it can still be traumatic when a grave is cleared and loved ones are still alive.

The problem is people always want this stuff to go "right to the top!" so they get carried away.

The CIA/Cubans/Mafia wanted Castro gone for their own reasons leading to a private army and the Bay of Pigs.

The most likely explanation for the assassination is some element of the CIA/Cuban/Mafia alliance wanted revenge on JFK for Bay of Pigs.

If so the people involved in initially creating that alliance would want it covered up - not because they were behind the killing but because they started a ball rolling that led to the killing.

Same (maybe) with the Boston bombers. If they were only in the country cos their uncle was a CIA agent in Chechnya that's enough to want to keep stuff covered up.

Elmore Leonard's books are quite valuable in this respect as they focus on the type of person who gets recruited to do that kind of work - psychos and adrenaline junkies who take risks because it makes them high.

Well, the rioters at Kent State, after destroying downtown Kent whilest on a car-burning rampage, were throwing chunks of concrete, screaming "kill, kill, kill," and chasing the retreating Guardsmen. So "unarmed" seems, at best, a half-truth. Maybe the people who were hit were unarmed, but the Guardsmen were not shooting at unarmed students. And "murder" seems downright delusional.

No argument on the other two.

There are now three big forces in the world: Globalism(largely controlled by Jews), Nationalism(controlled by gentiles of each nation), and Islam.

Nationalism is powerful but it is not a grand ideology. It is limited within particular national borders.

In contrast, globalism and Islam seek world dominance. It is no wonder that the main clash is between these two ideo-empires.

Islam is universalist, and globalism is imperialist. When Big Forces collide, each vies for supremacy.

It’s like Cold Front meeting Warm Front. It leads to storms and hails.

Both are violent on a worldwide scale. Muslims will use violence and war to spread Jihad.
Globalism will use bombs, sanctions, financial warfare, and worse to destroy entire nations that won’t put out. Look at fate of Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, etc.

Marxism was the other grand ideology, but it died. Whatever radical element it had joined up with globalism that is a fusion of oligarch capitalists, decadents, and radical nihilism. In former Soviet Republic states, many former Marxists reverted to Islam.

    So, it’s Globalism vs Islam.

We accuse Islam of violence, and yes, Muslims can be violent.

But globalism has been the far more aggressive, destructive, and invasive force. Muslim terrorism killed 1000s in the West. Globalist imperialism has come close to killing a million or more in the Muslim World.

Because of the Cold War, there was a kind of alliance between globalists and Muslims, esp in Afghanistan. But fall of communism no longer made the alliance viable.

In material terms, globalism is 1000x more powerful and well-funded than Islam despite the riches of Saudis and Gulf states(that, despite their Islamism, is allied with globo-US against Iran).

But Islam has certain advantages. Islam is spreading worldwide. Muslims have no guilt conscience. Every Muslim is a warrior of the heart and womb.

In contrast, the warrior culture of globalism is purely mercenary. It hires and pays soldiers to fight for ‘muh liberty’, but its ideology revolves around Beastie Boys ‘right to party’, homomania, ‘pussy hats’, and tattoos & piercings. Globalism is mega-rich but utterly vacuous and degenerate morally and spiritually. Whites and yellows who are the core demography of globalism have forgotten how to create life. They prefer materiality and ‘liberty’ over life, family, and culture.

Also, there is lack of unity between elites and masses in globalism. Among Muslims, there is spiritual unity between Muslim leaders and Muslim masses. Among globalists, it’s a case of Jewish oligarchs like Soros and Adelson throwing cash around to foment divisions or support Israel in a world in which Jews are less than 0.1% of the population. Most people of the globo-west have no strong idea of what globalism is about. For some, it’s Hollywood movies for the world. For SJW’s, it worship of Statue of Liberty. For homos, it’s homo parade in every nation.

Globalist soldiers are the best in the world in training and equipment, but the globalist masses have no idea what they’re fighting for.
But every Muslim knows why a Muslim fights and carries on with Jihad either violently or culturally or reproductively.

How much of Muslim terror in the West is for Jihad; how much is it for revenge?
If it’s a matter of revenge, it has less to do with ideology and more to do with a sense of ‘justice’.
It’s like US got revenge for Pearl Harbor and 9/11. Indeed, US extended the revenge for 9/11 even to Iraq even though Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11.
So, the logic of revenge is part of politics.

So, some of these attacks by Muslims are not about religion but about retaliation for globalism’s war on the Muslim world. Even 9/11 was ‘blowback’. If Muslims attack all things ‘infidel’, why don’t they target Brazil and Japan with their vile decadent cultures?

Imagine if China became far more powerful than the US. Suppose China stations troops in the US and carries out operations that decimate entire cities. Suppose so many Americans are reduced to refugee status like in the original RED DAWN. Suppose China decides to put on a Nice Humanitarian Face and allow American refugees to come live in China. While some Americans might be cuckishly grateful for China’s generosity, might not some Americans want to get even with the ‘slanty-eyed buggers’? Might they not carry out acts of terror? Would it be proper to blame the violence on Uncle-Sam-ism? Wouldn’t the violence really be more about revenge than any belief in American values?

So, I think much of the Muslim violence has to be seen as retaliatory than religious.
If the US feels what it did in WWII against Germany and Japan was morally justified on grounds of revenge, then Muslims have a case too.

That said, because Muslims do have a universalist, warrior, and missionary creed, Islam rage(even when retaliatory) takes on a prophetic and even apocalyptic tone. Once Muslims get riled up, their rage just keeps burning. It’s sort of like once Jews have a certain resentment, it never seems to go away until their enemy is totally ground into the dirt.

Also, Muslims must be frustrated by the schizo character of globalism. It has the mightiest military in the world that can destroy entire Muslim nations in no time. But when Muslims go to the West, they don’t see a race of mighty warriors and heroes but a bunch of cucks, pansies, wussies, and dorks who get pushed around by shameless sluts, henpecking feminists, goofy Jews, funny homos, nasty Negroes, and even trannies.
The West is still defined by the image of the White Male, and the globo military is still dominated by white men from top to bottom. They are badass killers who make Muslims shi* their pants in the desert, like in the movie AMERICAN SNIPER.
But when Muslims come to the West, they see all those pansy white boys who cower before Negroes, kiss toes of Jews, get henpecked by wenches, pushed around by slut daughters, and do nothing to protect their women from rape gangs.

Muslims fear the globo-mercenary force, but they see the west as a soft underbelly, or an overripe fruit just waiting to drop from the tree.

Nationalism would be the best thing for most nations, but globalism weakens all nationalisms. Only nations sufficiently big like China, Russia, and Iran can maintain true nationalism against the globalist tide. All other nations have become vassals of the US empire whose invite/invade strategy is messing up the whole world.
But unlike most peoples, Muslims will not succumb to globalist since they have a grand eternalist sense of what is right and wrong.
In contrast, Japanese no longer feel any sacred connection to their culture or history. Into globo-disposable cosplay culture, they follow the US and even have homo parades. Japanese people have become like gadgets and robots and cartoon characters.

So, non-Muslim nations that cannot sustain autonomous nationalism like Russia, China, and Iran just succumb to globalism.
But Muslims resist because they do have a durable sense of what is right, holy, and sacred.
Also, they still believe in the faith. In contrast, no one cares about the church of England whose latest theme is ‘gay marriage’. Because Christianity is a pacifistic religion, it wilts and fades without the protection of a Noble Warrior Class.
In contrast, Islam is a fusion of warrior creed and spiritual vision. To believe in and of itself is to be a warrior. A Muslim can defend himself. In contrast, a true Christian must turn the other cheek, and if he chooses to fight, he must feel guilty afterwards.
Also, materialist globalism means you are NOTHING unless you got status and money. In contrast, even the lowest poorest Muslim feels as the man of God.
There is a kind of quasi-spirituality to globalism with its New Age do-gooderism, but can anyone explain what Ashley Judd and madonna were yammering about at the ‘pussy hat’ pandemonium? It’s virtue as faddishness.

So, in a way, Samuel Huntington called it right. It is about Islam vs the West. But he was wrong in one sense because Globalism, not the West, is the main contender with Islam. Globalism has already swallowed up the West; it is fusing the West with the Rest, and this voracity is advancing at rapid pace and unfortunately succeeding all too well in Latin America, Asian, and non-Muslim Africa. They are all turning into variations of Rammstein’s Amerika, and the US and EU are being third-world-ized in turn by these crass materialists whose main culture is rap, hollywood, and video games.

It is Muslims who’ve thrown the monkey wrench into this globalist project by rejecting globalist ideology and values(and we should be thankful for that since it sticks in the craw of the GLOB monster). Even though Muslim mass entry into the West happens under globalism, Muslims will not bow down to globalist creeds and fads.

Now, I think sharia is pretty backward and brutish. But, does anyone really think current Western values are any better?
Worship of homos and trannies? Christian bakers destroyed for decency and integrity?
Goy worship of Jews and Zionism in Congress?
Anti-white vitriol from the mass media?
Rap Music as expression of america pride?
White boys raised to be cuck-wussies into Gayria, Negria, and Zioria?

What kind of girls white fathers are now raising? Should these men be prouder than Muslim men because they have ‘western values’ that is now little more than cuckery of the likes of Justin Trudeau?

I think that it is important to realize that this "Deep State" narrative does not really change the policy proposals most of us support.

Actual jihadis, Muslims with legitimate grievances, Muslim patsies and other "manipulables" are necessary for Deep State plans to succeed. They would never be able to do this with the Amish.

Therefore, the solution to Deep State manipulation is the same: end mass immigration of Muslims and deport the Muslims that are here. Without jihadis, patsies and legitimate grievancers, the Deep State can't operate.

Arguing that the Deep State is involved in these affairs is essentially a method of white-washing Islam.

You can wrap the two together – the Deep State trying to use jihadists as a cat’s paw will always blow up in their faces cos…etc

  105. There’s zero real evidence the Bomb Brothers planted the bombs. Nope. The agent/s who actually planted the bombs were sober and knew what they were doing.

What happened? Two stoned patsies were videotaped participating in another drill exactly as they were instructed to do by their handlers.

Remember, kids, if black ops government guys ever ask you to participate in a “terrorism response drill” just say no.

Well, I do believe that the Russians killed their own minister in Turkey, and blew up their own jet with the marching band on it, or whatever it was. So there’s that.

The problem is people always want this stuff to go “right to the top!” so they get carried away.

The CIA/Cubans/Mafia wanted Castro gone for their own reasons leading to a private army and the Bay of Pigs.

The most likely explanation for the assassination is some element of the CIA/Cuban/Mafia alliance wanted revenge on JFK for Bay of Pigs.

If so the people involved in initially creating that alliance would want it covered up – not because they were behind the killing but because they started a ball rolling that led to the killing.

Same (maybe) with the Boston bombers. If they were only in the country cos their uncle was a CIA agent in Chechnya that’s enough to want to keep stuff covered up.

Elmore Leonard’s books are quite valuable in this respect as they focus on the type of person who gets recruited to do that kind of work – psychos and adrenaline junkies who take risks because it makes them high.

I remember he said something like “if you aren’t dead already, turn yourself in”.

I immediately understood that to be a demand that joker kill himself.

That’s what the “loser” bit was about too. He was denying him family glory and promising shame and therefore hoping the nephew would kill himself before all of the details about the uncle were investigated and made public.

    He needn’t have worried!

Perhaps if Tsarnaev had been in the foreign student cash cow track with a plan to go home afterwards to command industry with his prestigious American degree

‘Home’ in this case would be in Russia, where an American degree is no more prestigious than a Russian degree is in America.

My brother studied IR in the US, became a raving leftist having been a centrist beforehand. The heavy indoctrination you get in US universities has had a big effect across institutions there.

Frightening if true. There are many dumb, intellectually lazy, politically rigid people in those majors.

No, he and his younger brother did not murder and maim random individuals because the CIA destroyed their authentic Wally & Beaver character. This woman's a blockhead, and likely an attention-whore fantasist to boot.

Pretty sure the point is that they murdered and maimed random individuals here because of the CIA.

  131. Both Boston and the San Bernardino shootings were similar , Craft international operatives were employed in both cases. California couple were found handcuffed and shot, according to their lawyer. Boston bombers were framed and one was executed.

  132. @E. Rekshun
There are enough murders committed by Federal agencies to make anyone a conspiracy theorist.

Well, the rioters at Kent State, after destroying downtown Kent whilest on a car-burning rampage, were throwing chunks of concrete, screaming “kill, kill, kill,” and chasing the retreating Guardsmen. So “unarmed” seems, at best, a half-truth. Maybe the people who were hit were unarmed, but the Guardsmen were not shooting at unarmed students. And “murder” seems downright delusional.

No argument on the other two.

  133. @Art Deco
Murdered? I take it you were present?

It’s called inference to the best explanation (abductive reasoning if you want to be a fancy-pants). They teach it in philosophy departments and everything. There are even books!

I know that back in the 1890s they started relocating all the graves in a number of cities ostensibly for public health reasons. That's how you get cities like Colma south of SF which is wall to wall graves. But the story you tell is pretty terrible in any case.

Once, in between housing situations, I took my van into Colma to sleep overnight: it’s a very peaceful place because even its most diverse inhabitants have…calmed down.

I think that it is important to realize that this "Deep State" narrative does not really change the policy proposals most of us support.

In the 90’s remember it was White right wing extremists. There just weren’t enough of them for the ambitions of the Bush Jong-il.

If every Muslim became Amish tomorrow, they’d be onto the Hindu’s next.

  140. I forgot to add hitting moving target at 271 feet. Sorry.

There are moving targets, and there are moving targets. Kennedy was sitting in a limo moving slowly in a consistent direction. So he was about as easy to hit as a moving target gets, shooter location aside.

I admit that Stone had a point in his movie; you want to take your shot as the target is moving directly toward you, if possible, i.e., you want to be on a point along his current vector. On the other hand, that would put the windshield of the limo in your shot, or the target going away from you. Windshield glass is no joke, and without elevation, lots of bodies could get in the way.

270 feet is 90 yards. That’s short range with a rifle. It’s short range with a semi-automatic rifle, never mind a bolt gun. Heck, it isn’t that far out of an NFL QB’s range with a football – maybe even an overinflated one.

Oswald hit Kennedy with two of three shots; that doesn’t sound miraculous at first blush. Especially not a braced shot.

Maybe someone could set up a game version of the shoot, plugging in all the known data, and let people try for themselves.

I don’t know if Oswald was the only shooter, or if there was a conspiracy. But on the face of it, I don’t think the difficulty of the shoot was prohibitive for a competent marksman*. I hear the rifle he used was a POS, but I hear shooters talk about getting good results from weapons people call “POS” all the time. One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. A lot of rifles look accurate from 90 yards. (Also, I didn’t see any talk of the rifle being junk in a quick scan of This Page)

    * Which Oswald was; he qualified as sharpshooter and marksman in the Marines.

I think a lot of the conspiracy theories swirling around Oswald can be explained by a leftist conspiracy to ignore and downplay the obvious Communist, “anti-Fascist” motives of Oswald the leftist nut; the guy actually defected to the Soviet Union and lived there for two and a half years, FFS. Blame Dallas, blame the CIA, blame the mob – blame anybody but the asshole leftist antifa defector to the Soviets.

I found this after a quick web search:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._Kennedy_assassination_rifle

CBS conducted a firing test in 1967 at the H. P. White Ballistics Laboratory located in Street, Maryland. For the test, 11 marksmen from diverse backgrounds were invited to participate: 3 Maryland State Troopers, 1 weapons engineer, 1 sporting goods dealer, 1 sportsman, 1 ballistics technician, 1 ex-paratrooper, and 3 H. P. White employees. CBS provided several Carcano rifles for the test. Oswald’s rifle was not used in this test. The targets were color-coded orange for head/shoulder silhouette and blue for a near miss. The results of the CBS test were as follows: 7 of 11 shooters were able to fire three rounds under 5.6 seconds (64%). Of those 7 shooters, 6 hit the orange target once (86%), and 5 hit the orange target twice (71%). Out of 60 rounds fired, 25 hit the orange (42%), 21 hit the blue portion of the target (35%), and there were 14 misses on the target (23%).

One volunteer was unable to operate his rifle effectively, so the following statistics are based on the 10 remaining shooters. The average time of all 10 was 5.64 seconds. The mode was 5.55 seconds and the mean was 5.70 seconds. The average for the top five shooters was 5.12 seconds, and for the bottom five shooters 6.16 seconds. There was a high occurrence of jamming during the test. On average, the rifles jammed after 6 rounds. The most rounds fired without jamming were 14, 11, 10 in a row. The least was 0 (back to back).

The first shooter to lead off the experiment was Al Sherman, Maryland State Trooper. The record of his effort: 5.0 sec: 2 orange, 1 blue / 6.0 sec: 2 orange, 1 blue / NT (jam at 3rd cartridge)/ 5.2 sec: 1 orange, 2 low / 5.0 sec: 1 orange, 2 blue. Sherman was able to fire 8 rounds before his rifle jammed. Of all the shooters, the fastest times were: 4.1 sec, 4.3 sec, 4.9 sec, 5.0 sec. The best accuracy was 3 orange in 5.2 seconds. The rifles were oiled and allowed to cool down between shooters. CBS reporter Dan Rather attended this experiment.

Yeah, but why? -- as I recall: plenty of dope, seemingly no problem getting chicks -- so why the 'hate'? -- anyway, I was wondering/asking about how/if the question of motive was addressed at the trial -- eg what if any evidence of motive was offered.
  142. Another interesting tidbit I saw was that the scope on Oswald’s rifle was very conveniently skewed; as it happened, its placement meant that Oswald didn’t have to lead Kennedy at all, he could just put the crosshairs right on target. I’m sure that just solidifies the conspiracy theory in the minds of its adherents. I do admit it’s consistent with a master plan, carried out by experts (though that fact would be in the minority, IMO).

  143. He hit the target 2x and missed once. When he hit the POTUS, JFK was barely moving left to right but rather moving forward from the bottom to the top of Oswald’s POV.

This unpaid money order is the key to understanding that the FBI and Warren Commission knowingly created the hoax that Oswald purchased a mail order rifle from Klein's that he used to assassinate President Kennedy.

This unpaid money order is one of the most important "smoking guns" found in the Warren Volumes. It proves that Oswald did not purchase a mail order rifle, and it shows that both the FBI and Warren Commission knew that this unpaid money order had never been cashed or deposited.

You've had 53 years to come up with the goods which demonstrate that Lee Harvey Oswald was anything but what he appeared to be: an incompetent human being with delusions of grandeur (but considerable aptitude for getting fired from ordinary wage jobs). When you get to first base, let us know. (And, while you're at it, you might come up with a non-fantastical hypothesis as to why the CIA would want to be rid of a perfectly mainstream politician).

‘You’ve had 53 years to come up with the goods which demonstrate that Lee Harvey Oswald was anything but what he appeared to be.”

Former OSS and State Department analyst Harold Weisberg’s Whitewash; A Report on the Warren Report was published by 1966, and Mark Lane’s Rush to Judgment followed. Both were highly critical of the Warren Commission, which ignored evidence of at least two Oswalds.

So, the goods, as you put it, have been there for some time. The good gets better if you remember it’s never too late to relieve yourself of your ignorance, if that’s what it is.

The broader point is if the CIA were involved in murky events which were only indirectly connected to the JFK assassination they’d still want those covered up.

    3) Ignore the evidence that Oswald never received the rifle.
    4) Ignore the evidence of several shooters in Dealy Plaza on Nov. 22, 1963.
    5) Ignore the fact that any sniper up in that TSBD 6th floor window intent on killing JFK had a much easier shot while his motorcade was on Houston before turning onto Elm.

A lot of rifles look accurate from 90 yards. (Also, I didn't see any talk of the rifle being junk in a quick scan of This Page)

    * Which Oswald was; he qualified as sharpshooter and marksman in the Marines.

I think a lot of the conspiracy theories swirling around Oswald can be explained by a leftist conspiracy to ignore and downplay the obvious Communist, "anti-Fascist" motives of Oswald the leftist nut; the guy actually defected to the Soviet Union and lived there for two and a half years, FFS. Blame Dallas, blame the CIA, blame the mob - blame anybody but the asshole leftist antifa defector to the Soviets.

Oswald's rifle was not used in this test.

Maybe someone could set up a game version of the shoot, plugging in all the known data, and let people try for themselves.

Someone did: JFK Reloaded. It’s over 10 years old, but anyone that enjoy this kind of simulator can download it at this site.

What exactly was the motivation for the Boston bombing? -- I never got the motive, but I did not follow the trial -- normally the prosecution devotes some effort to exposing the motive because this helps convince a jury of guilt -- perhaps someone can enlighten me.

Yeah, but why? — as I recall: plenty of dope, seemingly no problem getting chicks — so why the ‘hate’? — anyway, I was wondering/asking about how/if the question of motive was addressed at the trial — eg what if any evidence of motive was offered.

If you visit the assassination site in Dallas it's clear how easy the shot was and how close Oswald was. It was really a turkey shoot. Anyone with Oswald's Marine training could have made that shot with their eyes closed. A really good marksman could have done it with a pistol, it was that close (90 yards, angled down from a 6th floor window to the street directly in front). Kennedy's limo had just turned the corner and was only going a few mph.

That’s it Jack D, ignore all the evidence, and base your bogus belief on a visit to TSBD:

    1) Ignore the evidence that there were several Oswalds.
    2) Ignore the evidence that the rifle found was a Mauser,
    3) Ignore the evidence that Oswald never received the rifle.

And let me ask, have you fired a Mannlicher-Carcano with a misaligned scope at a moving target?

  154. @Olorin
Must be true. After all, it was on ABC News.

And Muslims have shown themselves to be completely unable to plan and conduct terrorist operations without "the" "government" of the US puppeteering them, right?

Yeah. I note the ABC woman ‘admits’ that she has no evidence.

Yes. When finally I looked at the Secret Service reenactment at the time of the 50th anniversary many doubts dissolved away. Dealey Plaza was not, I realized, some great space and JFK’s car passed right under Oswald.

  156. Sparkon, I was just dealing with one argument made. Which I did to my satisfaction. I know almost nothing about the details of Kennedy’s assassination. If you want to draw a larger point (about Konspiracy Kookery in general, I suppose) from what I’m saying, it’s that every time I look into Konspiracy Kookery, it comes up short. Maybe you guys need to huddle up and tighten the narrative? Presenting shitty evidence tends to contaminate an entire case.

The rife found on the 6th floor, Texas School Book Depository was identified as a Mauser by several Dallas cops.

Dallas cops can’t be wrong? You do know that a lot of rifles look like a lot of other rifles, and that many rifles are patterned after or even designed to look like other rifles, right?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_F._Kennedy_assassination_rifle

Roger Craig stated in a filmed interview that he was standing with the other officers and examining the rifle up close, within 6-8 inches and he saw “7.65 Mauser” stamped on the barrel. He further states that Weitzman saw it too and pointed it out.

Seems a rather niggling detail to base a Konspiracy theory on. The Carcano in question fires 7.92 Mauser, which, if stamped on the receiver, could easily be the reason the cops thought the rifle was a Mauser.

Do you happen to have a photo of the Carcano in question, next to any similar-looking Mausers that were produced? That might provide some explanations, too. I did a quick image search, but didn’t see anything. And I’m not that invested in this issue.

Describing the Mannlicher-Carcano, the gunsmith at Klien’s recalled:

Lots of gun dealers (and gun fanboys) are fond of calling lots guns “junk.” Particularly the ones they haven’t sold, or budget guns that do a perfect job of going “bang,” but don’t live up to a dealer’s concept of proper profit margins. Did he go into any detail, as to why it was junk? Did he examine the barrel, the action? Because that’s what matters to shooters. Many other things matter to gun dealers and enthusiasts, crap that has nothing whatever to do with accuracy or reliability.

A signed and sworn affidavit is not "shitty evidence." Coupled with the initial statements of several officers, and especially Roger Craig's courageous lifetime refusal to back-down, it is in fact very strong evidence that the rifle found was a Mauser.

That is eminently clear, and begs the question: Considering your self-professed ignorance, what are you doing here holding forth on the subject?

‘Amazing that this kind of nonsense is allowed to stand unchallenged, while my response to it gets held up in moderation for over 10 hours, and counting.

Is it because 25% of world’s prisoner are in the US that accounts for 5% of world’s population?

About forty (40) percent of prisoners in Federal and state US prisons are non-citizens.

About forty (40) percent of prisoners in Federal and state US prisons are non-citizens.

Could you provide a source for that statistic?

I’ve never had much regard for eyewitness testimony, though it’s a case by case thing, obviously. I see no reason to give much weight to a Dallas cop’s initial evaluation of a foreign rifle. Especially not when two of the other guys who made the same evaluation later changed their opinion.

That is eminently clear, and begs the question: Considering your self-professed ignorance, what are you doing here holding forth on the subject?

That’s the beauty of knowledge, it gives no shit who holds it.

  162. That’s the beauty of knowledge, it gives no shit who holds it.

To be more specific: I didn’t know any specifics of the shoot. Then someone implied that the shoot was difficult, and Oswald was a poor shot. But, being naturally skeptical, especially of Konspiracy Kooks, I figured I’d run that down for myself. Five minutes of searching later, I found that the shoot was very easy, and Oswald was a good shot. Surprise, surprise, surprise, Konspiracy Kook was full of shit. Maybe if this wasn’t such a routine occurrence with Konspiracy Kooks, they wouldn’t inspire such skepticism.

  163. A signed and sworn affidavit is not “shitty evidence.” Coupled with the initial statements of several officers, and especially Roger Craig’s courageous lifetime refusal to back-down, it is in fact very strong evidence that the rifle found was a Mauser.

Konspiracy Kooks also tend not to argue very well. E.g., here, you have ignored what I was actually calling shitty evidence (lies about the difficulty of the shoot, competence of the shooter), and used an implied straw man argument (that I was call one thing shitty, when in fact I was calling something else shitty). Either that, or you have ignored the argument I was making, that shitty evidence tends to contaminate an entire case.
