With a young researcher named Noah Carl being denounced by hundreds of academics demanding his firing for noticing, among other hatestats, the correlation in British elections between the number of allegations of electoral fraud in a district, the rate of cousin marriage in a district (which tends to be a proxy for enforced arranged marriages and male domination), and the size of the South Asian population, it is worth noting what iSteve commenters familiar with the election fraud issue in England have observed:

Richard S says:

As far as I’m aware there are two related issues with electoral fraud in England. Firstly there is the actual practice of manipulating “postal votes” and secondly, and more insidiously,a lot of these family units are composed of UK-born males of Pakistani origin and their enslaved non-English-speaking immigrant wives who .. how to say this .. are not necessarily conversant with English democratic traditions.

dearieme says:

Tony Blair’s government encouraged and allowed massive moslem immigration, and changed the voting laws, with the express intention of inviting election fraud in support of the Labour Party. This was clearly based on racist assumptions about Pakistanis and Bangladeshis; nobody made the slightest fuss about this racism at the time – or since. It’s also worth noting that having done all this Blair then launched aggressive wars against moslem countries – but then he is a bear of little brain.

James N. Kennett says:

For all the celebration in the UK of the centenary of votes for women, one aspect of the the abuse of postal voting is that many Muslim women are disenfranchised by their husbands. Needless to say, feminists and other SJWs really don’t give a s**t.

The problems with electoral fraud in the UK’s Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities are well known and have been widely reported. What is slightly remarkable is that an academic has attempted to analyse the phenomenon using statistical and social-science methods. Good for him – but his colleagues will make him pay for his blasphemy.

A commenter points to Ben Judah’s article on Bradford, England in Politico:

This is where I meet Ron McKay.

He is [MP George] Galloway’s close aide and “best friend” for 38 years. He is said to wield a lot of influence in Respect. He is from Glasgow, and has a puffy face.

I introduce myself as a POLITICO journalist and with his agreement begin recording the interview on my iPhone.

“It’s been a brutal, a brutal election campaign, and no doubt it will get worse,” he says, “It’s different, Bradford. This Bradford West election is different from any other election we’ve had.”

He soothes his brow, complaining he is tired.

How does the politics of Bradford work?

“It would take me much longer than I’ve got to explain biraderi politics in Bradford, clan-based politics, and people actually do deliver 20, 30, 50 votes. Through their extended families, what tends to happen is, the kind of head of the household, or the kind of head of the clan, makes a decision how they’ll vote. So if somebody, in I don’t know, Penge (South London) said I could deliver you 50 votes you would laugh. But here . . . it’s true. They deliver bundles of votes.” …

“The Pakistanis here,” says McKay, “by and large almost to a man and woman are from Mirpur, Azad Kashmir (the part of Kashmir administered by Pakistan) — so there’s an extensive family network, links, clan-based networks. In a way that doesn’t really apply elsewhere, that I can think of, not even in East London, where there’s Bangladeshis and they all come from Sylhet. It’s not to the same extent as it is here.”

… Kashmiris and Bangladeshis — both are remarkably well organized politically and have captured local Labour party machines

“You have to understand the politics at work,” says McKay, “the mosques are very important, and the way the community operates religiously through the mosques, because Bradford West (is) probably 60 percent Asian, maybe higher. Much more so than in the other constituencies in Bradford. The Asians are by and large in this — in three or four wards.”

His tone is matter-of-fact anthropological.

Kashmiris and Bangladeshis are two of Britain’s least successful migrant groups. But both are remarkably well organized politically — and have captured local Labour party machines, becoming the new bloc votes in the ethnic neighborhoods of London, Birmingham and Bradford.

Galloway — who claims to be left-wing — thrives in Bradford’s biraderi clan-based politics.

His team does not hide its strategy.

“George is a hugely well-known politician who’s supported their causes, for 30 odd years, particularly Palestine,” says McKay, “Which is very close to this community’s heart, or the Muslim community’s heart. So he’s got a head start there, obviously. His record is very well known, in supporting causes that Muslims support against wars and imperialism. And there’s been a lot of house meetings and going to mosques.” …

“But to go back to the clan system,” says McKay, “What George and we did very successfully in the by-election is to some extent break that, through young people, and a kind of revolt of young people in being told who to vote for. It was huge, a tsunami of support, I’ve never seen anything like it.”

To take Bradford West in a by-election in 2012, Galloway beat the biraderi clan of Imran Hussein. This man is the scion of a Pakistani clan which dominated over the local branch of the Labour Party.

Galloway both appealed to the smaller clans cut out of the spoils, and to younger people, repressed by clan voting. He offered them both worlds: fun, street politics — and Muslim grievance. Imran Hussein and his clan were defeated.

… McKay tells me Galloway has now reconciled with this clan at Kashmir Day in the Pakistani Consulate. Accompanied by his father, Imran Hussein embraced Galloway three times.

McKay says the clan stills controls the Labour Party in Bradford West, and that this reconciliation was to stop Respect putting up a candidate in Bradford East, the neighboring seat where Hussein is trying to win election. …

I ask McKay: do you think this is no longer democracy?

“It is democracy as we know it. There’s still a secret ballot for those who aren’t filling in postal votes.”

McKay estimates 20 percent of Bradford West votes by post.

The UN has signalled that it wants to dramatically expand hate crimes laws to include almost all discussion of “migrants.” Governments are already using “migrants” to steal elections and will increase this use in the near future. Discussion of electioneering requires discussion of “migrants.” So (in the name of fighting “racism”) the UN is effectively proposing that criticising the government be made illegal.

I really doubt this matters. I’m sure the women readily vote for whomever the rest of the clan are voting for, out of their own volition. I have no idea why people are so obsessed with portraying women as “victims” of men when, in general, they’re eager and willing accomplices. I’d bet if every British Muslim woman was given a chance to vote privately, the vote counts would be almost identical. For both men and women from this culture, the mentality is clan first, religion second, and country last.

As for the “enslavement” claim, the enslavers aren’t the husbands. The enslavers are the mothers-in-law, who want more domestic servants and grandchildren. The mothers-in-law rule the households in these cultures, dispensing punishment on whomever fights back against the mother hen. However, that doesn’t fit into the paradigm that people understand, so we have to pretend as if the husbands are the ones controlling the wives.

With respect to how family dynamics work in Islamic cultures, the Muslim mother-in-law and the Jewish mother-in-law actually have some similarity.

Jews, however, are a lot more cerebral than Muslims. Muslims are like Jewish hillbillies.

These Yemeni Jews could relate pretty well to the British Pakis.

When British industrial oligarchs opened the floodgates to foreign labor migration, the working-class had no idea what was to come.

The West has served as a release valve for unstable Muslim societies. Of course, the West has also destabilized many of those same societies.

Many of these countries have substantial brain drain problems, but it is the professional class that tend to complain the loudest about corruption.

Most Western countries have enabled Third World immigration to function by means of family networks, both legal through chain migration, and illegal through family businesses employing relatives off the books.

Moving troublesome youth out of the Muslim world improves the geostrategic picture for Israel. Corrupt Muslim governments are in no position to force Israel to withdraw from the West Bank.

And the historically most Anti-Semitic force in Europe, the nationalist right, is now arguably the most pro-Israel force.

The idea that Western leaders (or their oligarchs masters) are letting in immigrants to shift the vote is as naive as the old liberal BS that the Iraq War was for oil. Israel Shamir lays out what is going on in his recent article distilling Ron Unz’s work.

    http://www.unz.com/ishamir/unz-goes-nuclear/

…Smart people’s kids are usually not that smart, and have much less drive. For this reason, I wouldn’t be bothered too much by Jewish achievement of the elder generation; the young generation will waste it all right.

The problem is, there is more than one way to shine. One is to be brilliant, another is to dim others to shine in their background. In Israel, the Jews promoted plethora of laws and regulations circumscribing Palestinians’ ability to compete. In the US, Jewish support of migration from underdeveloped countries and discrimination of the white American students achieve a similar effect as it lowers the average ability of non-Jewish population and allows the Jews to excel in comparison.

So the US Jews have learned how to perpetuate their dominance, by jealously guarding the gates of the best universities…

Americans aren’t rebellious by nature; that’s why the US is so prosperous and that’s why the lot of a working American is going from bad to worse. Yes, Scylla and Charybdis guard the passage to well-being: over-rebellious folk grows poor as revolutions diminish the treasury; on the other hand, over-docile folk grows poor because their betters oppress them fearing not for harsh response. Wise elites navigate these narrow straits cautiously like the Swedes did until 1990. Obstinate elites have to be cured by revolution, like in England or France, or by state terror, as in Russia or China.

Now you have to live with Jewified elites. Historically, the record is not encouraging. Jews are not very good in the top dog position. They are too obstinate, doctrinaire and despise the low classes to whom they feel no affinity…

    Things change:

POLL: ONLY 13% OF BRITISH JEWS INTEND TO VOTE LABOR AT GENERAL ELECTION
The near monolithic support for the Conservative Party among British Jewry comes at the tail end of a year long period which has seen repeat antisemitism controversies in Labor.

Prof. Geoffrey Alderman, a historian who has extensively covered British Jews’ involvement in politics for decades and who polled the community from the 1970s to early ’90s, told the Post that “The reservoir of rock-solid Jewish Labour voters that one was once accustomed to in the half century following the Second World War has gone – it’s been breached.”

Asked why only 20 years ago Labour had once electorally excelled in seats with high Jewish populations, whereas it now finds itself lagging behind, Alderman noted that “Tony Blair was regarded as a friend of the Jewish people and a friend of Israel. That pedigree is not enjoyed by the present leadership of the Labour Party.””

  18. This goes back to something I’ve said many times.

Some populations tend to be extremely clannish, along the lines of extended family, language, religion, caste, etc. Other populations tend to be much more individualistic and socially atomized.

When clannish populations come into contact with individualistic populations, there’s a tendency for the former to exploit the latter. Not just because of ingroup-outgroup morality, but also because it’s easier a large clan structure to dominate lucrative economic and social niches.

No matter how competitive you are as an individual, it’s to beat an entire clan of people working against you. We see this in politics, in which clan blocs determine election outcomes. We see this in entrepreneurship, in which clan labor probably makes it easier to operate a small mom-and-pop taxi, takeaway, gas station, or convenience store. We see this in organized crime, in which ethnic mafias tend to dominate the underworld. We even see this in the corporate world, in which a clannish ethnic group can dominate certain sectors or businesses (like H-1Bs in tech).

The strength of the Muslims is that currently, they’re fanatically clannish. Whites, on the other hand, are very individualistic to the point of having almost no sense of extended family, ethnic, or religious identity. So when the former come into contact with the latter, the latter tend to be exploited or pushed around.

Whites are actually very dependent on the govt, police, media, and military to protect them and their interests. The good news is that Whites are very adept at building large-scale functional institutions to offer this protection. The bad news is that in recent decades, these institutions have come under the control of individuals who aren’t particularly loyal to White indigenous populations, or in some cases often (((outright hostile))) to Whites.

Whites, however, weren’t always so atomized. There was a time when they had much more attachment to various identities, whether it be a neighborhood, Church denomination, or ethnicity. Back then, not only did they not get pushed around on their turf, they went overseas and conquered/exploited others. There was a time when the British used the “divide and rule” strategy with much effectiveness in South Asia and other regions of the world. Today, it is they who are divided and increasingly ruled by foreign tribes. Something to think about.

The take home point is that, in some respects, it’s often quite beneficial to belong to a society that’s at least mildly clannish. That way, you don’t get exploited or kicked around by outsiders.

It’s also a good idea to make sure your country’s institutions are run by at least mildly ethnocentric people who at least sort of care about their country and their people. In the developed world, this is becoming increasingly rare.

Whenever ethnocentric types attempt to climb into power (Trump, Le Pen, Salvini, Orban, etc), they often face enormous resistance from financial&business interests and most especially from (((the global ruling class))).

I think one reason why Russia and now apparently even China are portrayed so harshly in American media is because they offer an alternative model for how national rulers should operate. Both Russia and China are very powerful developed countries who operate outside the norms of the globalist order. Both countries are run by nationalist strongmen who feel at least a vague sense of camaraderie with their majority-populations and who won’t subvert their national interests to global interests.

Fertility rates are rather low in Iran. Only the truly backward (Yemen, Afghanistan, Niger) countries still have pre-industrial fertility.

Most illegal migrants have come from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Eritrea, Somalia. Most legal migrants in the West from the Muslim world were from Pakistan, India, Turkey, Algeria and Morocco.

All of those countries have to a degree been destabilized by the West since 1945.

By contrast, Jordan has not been destabilized by the West, as it has been considered a bulwark of Western influence in the Middle East. Despite Jordan being a rather poor country, it hasn’t seen massive emigration to the West, but has seen labor outflow to wealthier Gulf Arab states. Israel actually imports Thai and Filipino workers instead of Palestinians or Jordanians. Despite shouldering the burden of the largest Syrian refugee camps, Jordan is still stable.

There has been some scandal over “ballot harvesting” of senior citizens, IIRC. Apparently legal in some states, but not in others.

Leftists often complain that GOP voter ID laws are misguided, as the real fraud comes from mail ballots that tend to be used more by GOP voters. Voter ID is thus a “poll tax” that underclass Dem voters are unable to pay.

Part of what complicates efforts like this is the length of the American ballot. The UK ballot is for only 1 MP every five years.

Nothing is stopping the GOP from running its own “registration drives” in conservative areas. But our typical attitude is that responsible citizens will be able to register themselves without hand-holding.

  32. This marginal issue gets to much attention on the right. The idea that vote hungry centre-left political parties are the prime movers of non-white immigration in western countries is pretty weak and a convenient red herring for cuckservatives. Relative to the centre-right parties, most centre-left parties today are politically weaker than when they has strong union support and lots of white working class voters. The period from 1945 to 1965 was a golden age for the centre left, and it has never been able to recapture that level of popularity by trying to attract middle class bohemians/hipsters and non-white voters. In Europe the centre-left is in big trouble and is losing lots of support to the nationalist right and the far left greens.

Similarly, Tony Blair, who may have had a conscious plan to increase non-white immigration, wasn’t really a leftist. He was a centrist neoliberal (like Bill Clinton) who just decided to use the Labour Party as his vehicle for pushing neoliberal reforms.

The prime movers in my view are leftist NGOs, soft power obsessed elites, refugee loving green parties, and certain elements of big business. Soft power is a big issue that most people on the right ignore. Western elites started pushing anti-racism and open borders at precisely the time that foreign policy big wigs started pushing the idea that western prosperity depended not on military power or manufacturing muscle, but on soft power influence over the third world.

If by “destabilize” you mean that the West has technically and financially assisted those countries to the point where their populations well exceed the carrying capacities of traditional agriculture on their poor soils, then yes, I agree. Even without further population growth (which most of them will still get), they cannot pull back from global trade, finance and migration flows without suffering mass famine.

Continued financial dependence on the rich world and/or continued mass emigration is firmly in their future. Financial subsidy and immigration pressure is in ours.

That’s a huge difference. Maybe it’s not as easily predictive, say, as the dirt gap or the years married gap (where you can use publicly available data), but that difference is massive. If you vote Republican, there is an 85% chance you think that the US favors non-whites over whites, and if you vote Democrat, there is an 87% chance you think the opposite (and are probably on crack).

That’s basically what the political representation comes down to in 2018.

Probably most of you read Breitbart on a daily basis like I do, but for the few that don’t, or maybe you’re busy, there you go.

Don’t British Jews tend to vote Conservative?

That’s probably not the best metric to look at, given that the Tories are more pro-Israel and pro-business, and most Jews are no longer working class. You have to look at some other metric, like support for social conservatism for the native population and wider society. It’s not enough to look at personal support for social conservatism for oneself, family, and community, as there are Orthodox Jews who don’t care whether or not social conservatism is inculcated in the wider society as long as socially conservative and religious Jewish life can be maintained and protected in Jewish communities.

More particularly it illustrates the symbiotic evolution (so to speak) of the Labour Party and the UK’s third world origin population.

In the same way that lichens are combinations of fungi and algae, the fungi providing the ‘protection’ and the alga the ‘power’, regarding third world ethnic genetic interest, the Labour Party provides the ‘protection’ – and political power for itself, its raison d’etre, and the immigrants provide the life energy of the Labour Party, in terms of votes, the lifeblood of political parties. Thus, both sides are locked in a ‘virtuous circle’ from their viewpoint. The ultimate end is permanent Labour rule in a third world majority Britain.

Bet the Jews (not all Jews, etc. etc.) regret being so enthusiastic about immigration…

Promoting the “victim culture” was another grave error. It gives people a spurious reason to hate Israel, and by extension all Jews, over the Palestine issue. From the article:

“George is a hugely well-known politician who’s supported their causes, for 30 odd years, particularly Palestine,” says McKay, “Which is very close to this [clan-based Mirpuri Pakistani] community’s heart, or the Muslim community’s heart.”

Pakistani Muslims have no particular interest in Palestine, and are more likely to oppose Pakistanis from other clans, or perhaps to have a historic antagonism against Hindus. George Galloway and Ron McKay have a better understanding of clan politics than they let on, and they know it is “my clan against the other clans of my tribe, my tribe against the other tribes, Islam against other religions”. They have cynically used the Palestine issue in order to be elected by people with whom they have nothing in common.

  99. @Dave Pinsen

Somewhat related, Niall Ferguson says all immigration, even skilled immigration from Northern Europe is unpopular. I wonder if that’s true.

Even if mass immigration from Poland was entirely in the UK’s best interests, the problem was that it was too rapid. It may have been the biggest wave of immigration in a decade since 1066! Suddenly, schools, doctors, and other public services were oversubscribed. Despite steady immigration since 1948, it was the first time that the authorities needed (and failed) to plan for a sudden increase in the population.

The politicians who encourage immigration have a tried-and-tested technique to silence their critics – to accuse them of racism. They hadn’t given the matter any other thought for 60 years. But they couldn’t use this weapon, because – at least in the modern usage of the term – the Polish immigrants are the same race as the Brits.

This mass immigration was one of the factors that caused people to vote for Brexit.

A combination of taxes and oppressive debt led the ancient world into serfdom and feudalism. It took the Black Plague to tilt the balance of power to labourers, who could finally escape their feudal bonds and hold themselves and their services out to the highest bidder; then an increasing commercial class of freemen continued the experiment with liberty and prosperity for another seven centuries. It didn’t take too long from the creation of the social welfare, which seduced the weakest among us with promises of free shit and supposed security, to then justify ratcheting up the tax burden to pay for it all. Then TPTB started piling on the debt, first by pushing an ethos of Buy-Now-Pay-Later to the lowest level of commercial transactions (think of that the next time you whip out a credit card at Starbucks), and drove it home by making qualifications like degrees such Holy Grail for which the consuming classes were willing sell themselves and their souls into debt serfdom “to get ahead.” Now everyone is clamoring for the big reset, but it will come at a price.

The past 800 years of increasing Liberty and Prosperity were great while they lasted, but slavery and serfdom were the norm for the masses for several millenia, so I guess we have to get ready for the great reversion to the mean.

Niall Ferguson’s narrative is correct, but misses an important point. We are (excepting the last 10 years) at the most prosperous time in history. Why is the political situation so grim?

To find the answer, follow the money. Much of our prosperity is built on private debt. Far from being a necessary injection of capital, this money has created a real-estate asset bubble; it results in excessive extraction of money from the real economy, via the financial sector, to the wealthy. At the same time, corporations avoid tax using offshore companies and trusts, and often they too have been asset-stripped and exist chiefly to service the debts on their balance sheets.

Somehow these issues do not have much impact in political debate. Instead, the news cycle is dominated by events that are usually quite unimportant.

That is 20,000 spousal visas in 1996, 25,000 in 1997 and 30,000 per year too many.

But then 1 over the entire time frame is 1 too many.

    Total Population Of India/Pakistan/Bangladesh:

1,700 million people, 1,757,000 square miles

Three massive countries in South Asia are colonizing a tiny, already overpopulated island nation on the western edge of Europe. Bangladesh *alone* is almost exactly three times the size of England. Pakistan is 3.5 times the size of the UK, and aboutseven times the size of England. India is 13 times the size of the UK and 25 times the size of England.

Why has the UK thrown it’s already overpopulated self open to an effectively unlimited influx of people from some pretty damn big nations?

According to the stats on MigrationWatch, total U.K. spousal visas issued were 20,000 in 1996 and then went up to 25,000 in 1997. Up to 2004 they averaged 30,000 per year. That is not really a huge flood.

30,000 per year is equivalent to about 150,000 per year in the US. That’s about half of what *total* legal immigration to the US was in the 70s.

And that’s 30,000 spousal visas to people breeding at far faster rates than the native British population. There are a lot of things you have to consider when thinking about immigration. The absolute number of immigrants is just one of them. Their share of the *breeding age* population is another. Their birthrate is another.

There’s still a secret ballot for those who aren’t filling in postal votes.

Mail-in ballots are the absolute god-awful dumbest idea in the history of polling. They could very well be the downfall of Western democracy (though that’s probably the goal).

I do like the fact that mail-in ballots give you the chance to consider some of the down ballot races that otherwise get almost no attention (though you still often don’t have much info to base your vote on), but otherwise their susceptibility to fraud and manipulation (not to mention extending the counting time to almost ridiculous lengths) is enormous.

If you want to vote get your ass off the couch and get to a polling place. If you are too effing lazy to bother stopping it at a school or church or community center that is probably not more than a mile from your house then your vote doesn’t deserve to be counted.

Of course 25,000 over the course of 20 years is 500,000 – the population of a major English city such as Manchester.

To this must be superadded the offspring directly attributable to the imported spouse, let’s allow to children per spouse. That makes another million – around 2% of the English population.

Not added are the vast numbers of elderly dependents etc concomitant to spousal ‘family reunion’.

  130. @Wilkey

And total spousal visas issued (that is for all nationalities) have been averaging 16,000 annually over the past five years since the income restrictions were introduced. About 50% of those in a year are for South Asians.

In comparison, Polish-born residents of the UK went from 95,000 in 2004 to 922,000 in 2017 per Migration Watch. For the EU-8 as a whole (Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia) it went from 167K in 2004 to 1.44m in 2017. So if there was an invasion\population replacement in the offing it was being driven by white European Christians whose offspring would be indistinguishable from the native British.

Just as Kenyans around Nairobi can tell at a glance which of the 25 tribes in the area someone belongs to, I’m finding that I can not only tell an Eastern European by sight about three times out of five, but I’m starting to distinguish the Lithuanians and Latvians from the Poles.

what they do then is kill the chicken scare the monkeys make a brutal example of one of you. Mao was correct power always is in essence ability and willingness to do superior violence. You need both elements white male conservatives still vastly out power the left and could in a day take over even the most cucked western nation if they were willing to exercise that power. some are afraid watching the little tranny butcher the chicken, others are too lazy or self obsessed to give a shit probably having no children, some are pozd by (((leftist))) false consciousness, or ruined by leftist education in ability to reason, and of course many realize what a civil war can wreak and are loath to begin one so hope for miracles.
The (((left))) understands all this perfectly they dont import brownskins just for votes they are a proxy army who they think they can control better than white men. The left knows all their apparent victory could go down in a few days if they cant get the guns and the freedom of speech and enough browns in and in the police army etc. (((They))) think generationaly the cucked right thinks well they dont think they whine and whimper a bit.
This all stops only one way white men rise up and take their nations back, otherwise expect some south african end.

Has any previous period of prosperity had so few marriages and the feeling that marriage and children are a legal and social impossibility?

The Julian Laws were enacted by the Emperor Augustus to encourage marriage and procreation among the upper classes in the early Roman Empire (late 1st Century BC).

No one is sure why the Western Roman Empire eventually collapsed, because there are so few records from the 5th Century AD; however, declining population is sometimes suggested as a contributing factor.

  135. I’m actually quite surprised folks seem a bit surprised as it is. The concept of clan is not just to settle feuds. It extends all the way into politics and even at work, even in apparently “high-tech” industries. The IT sector in this country (outside of really geeky companies like docker/gargle etc) is practically controlled and administered by the Indians [dot], whereas the construction industry by the mestizos. These two industries were practically the monopoly of white men a scant 25 years ago.

Heck, white men pioneered high tech back in the day [Unix, C, Linux etc] and now they have been marginalized and stand a bleak chance of a comeback (except in the case of highly visible nerds who are hard to dismiss).

So this comes as practically no surprise considering the UK pakis are some of the most clannish even by their own standards. They apparently all seem to come from the same city per the article.

I’ve no idea whether the same thing applies (nit necessarily yellow dots, but some kind of identifying “watermark”) to ink-jet or mono printers btw.

The ostensible reasons – money counterfeiting – are unlikely I’d have thought to apply to many of the fairly low-end printers known to have the feature.

Under the Tories, there used to be a regulation called the “Primary Purpose rule.” The regulation made it somewhat difficult for British migrants to import a spouse. After Blair was elected in 1997, the regulation was eliminated and it became much easier for migrants to bring in their spouses. That triggered a significant amount of growth in foreign populations in the UK.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/special/politics97/news/06/0605/straw.shtml

The Government has scrapped one of Britain’s toughest immigration laws. The Primary Purpose rule, which has barred entry into the UK for thousands of people married to British citizens, has been dropped.

Home Secretary Jack Straw said it was being ended because “it is arbitrary, unfair and ineffective and has penalised genuine cases, divided families and unnecessarily increased the administrative burden on the immigration system.”

The move was described as “hugely welcome” by Claude Moraes of the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants, who said it would be beneficial, both practically and symbolically.

Previously, the Primary Purpose rule required foreign nationals married to British citizens to prove that the primary purpose of their marriage was not to obtain British residency.

If those wishing to take up residency in the UK could not prove this to the satisfaction of immigration officers, they were denied entry into the United Kingdom. The change in the law is expected to place the burden of proof on immigration officials rather than those applying for residency.

In abolishing the rule, Labour is honouring one of its election manifesto commitments. The abolition of the rule will bring immediate benefits to more than 1,000 couples who were barred from the UK on the basis of the rule in 1996 alone.

Mr Straw said he was determined to build an immigration and asylum system that was “fairer, faster and firmer”. He stressed that the other rules on married partners applying to enter Britain – such as those saying the marriage must not be one of convenience and not place a financial burden on the state – would remain.

Mr Straw said the rules would be amended from Wednesday and added, “Entry clearance officers are being instructed not to refuse entry clearance applications where the refusal depends solely on the primary purpose rule.”

Mr Straw’s announcement came in a written reply to a question from Keith Vaz, the Labour MP for Leicester East, who was quick to welcome the change.

Mr Vaz said, “This is an historic decision. Jack Straw should be congratulated on this move. Thousands of people separated under this cruel and malicious rule will now be treated with the respect they deserve. Today’s announcement is the first step towards restoring justice to Britain’s immigration policy.”

They are *STILL* coming, and in massive numbers.

What about all those Deliveroo and pizza delivery moped drivers who have literally mushroomed all over the place?

But there’s still a wee bit of concern among “heritage” brits about the incoming poles. I believe this is because European whites are still a bit more feudal and clannish, especially in eastern europe compared to the more “individualism” washed whites this side of the pond.

This is both a blessing and a curse. They easily rally around when confronted with a threat to their identity. It is, however, harder for them to think of themselves in terms of a pan-white identity. At any given rate, compared to the “Free market individualism” BS that has seeped deep into shitlibs here, that is a yuuuuuuge improvement

I thought about that and rejected it. Almost nothing is similar. Marriage here declines across the board following a coordinated attack by media and law. In that case it was a handful of spoiled brats who delayed settling down by choice. I think this is sui generis: voluntary national suicide.
