It’s clear from his picture because of the combination of beard and smile. With a beard, if you are trying to be attractive to women, you go for a more stern, badass expression, especially when you have gray in it. At most, a smirk, not a full smile.
Younger guys who don’t have much gravitas do better with an engaging smile, although even there a jerkboy expression works better, or (rare but effective when done right) a full laugh.
This guy is not trying to look good to women.

Creepy ad by two virulent anti-American and very white Mexican elitists. I’m sure the NYT’s owner, another anti-American, very white Mexican, Carlos Slim will appreciate it. But I doubt the ad will be effective because the PC narrative keeps losing lately. Ads like this are only effective when they are riding a wave so it corners and destroys the opposition without a response. But with all the illegal alien problems (murder, drugs, drunk driving, assault, fraud, etc…) causing havoc everyday, a counter ad by Gillespie is very easy to make especially since he was an open borders guy not too long ago. Another point, this ad uses children actors in a way that reminds me of LBJ’s “Daisy” nuclear bomb ad made by the psychotic Bill Moyer (a fundamentalist Baptist deacon’s son). However, this ad will probably backfire.

Bill Clinton’s advice fell on deaf ears. They are doubling down.

I'm friends with a number of Greek-Americans, or more accurately Americans of Greek descent (they're all 100% assimilated and are basic white guys). Most of them are quite successful - one owns a ton of real estate in the Bay Area, one owns a very successful BMW dealership, one is a surgeon, one is an executive at Oracle, etc.
I asked one "hey all the greeks that I know here seem to be pretty ambitious and hard-working, but Greece itself sucks...please explain"?
He said that Greece was in such bad shape after WW2 and then in the following years was so badly governed, that the Greeks with any motivation at all had left by the 1970's. All that remained were people too lazy to leave, people that liked the socialism and corruption, and the elderly.

The Left hasn’t figured out the secret sauce to get Latinos to the polls in the numbers they represent. Such sauce probably doesn’t exist, but over-the-top scare tactics isn’t a bad recipe to try at this point, given how poorly D’s are faring in national and state-level elections.

The ad in question is a stake right through the heart of insipid civic nationalism. The Republican Party will now go WHITE in explicit terms. President Trump was elected because German voters in the Great Lakes region rejected Hillary Clinton’s call for open borders mass immigration, foreign policy hyper-interventionism and job-killing trade deal scams.
DEBT AND DEMOGRAPHY
It is clear that Northern Virginia has enriched itself through monetary extremism. Government-related expenditures fueled by Federal Reserve Bank monetary extremism have allowed an area close to the Rome on the Potomac to become wealthy and decidedly non-White. When the monetary extremism ends, Northern Virginia will become Detroit with warmer weather.
Young White people, under attack from anti-White demographic trends brought on by mass immigration, will begin to refuse to pay the government debt that enriched those born before 1965.
That ad was infuriating but it should wake some of the White cuckservatives up.
We can joke or delight in glee at what they have come to, but this is a pretty outrageous ad, implying that Gillespie voters want to murder brown children. I guess the “dream” aspect gives them deniability, or whatever. As usual you can imagine an analogous spot, showing a white guy waking up from a dream in which a black mob is descending on him like Reginald Denny, and figure the response that would get.

When I was single and was still meeting women: I was immediately attracted because I could ‘see’ intelligence in the way her eyes were (my first observation would not have been her eyes-the obvious stuff would be-but it was a close second). You can ‘see’ curiosity, or insight, somehow, just in the way a person’s eyes are. I don’t know what it is-my sense is that there is a bit of cynicism/questioning/skepticism, and that is somehow reflected in the way someone’s eyes are (in the same way ‘doe-eyed,’ on an adult, shows-I believe reasonably accurately-the opposite). (this is a really tough balance: too much cynicism, and it appears standoffish or hostile or unappealingly negative). Note that the effect can be a behavior to a certain extent: one can look more or less happy, more or less extroverted, more or less inviting, based on mood. But I think alot of it is pretty hardwired: the range of one’s ‘invitingness’ or ‘intelligence appearing’ or ‘friendliness’ in appearance is, I believe, pretty genetically defined.

The genius of this ad is the nightmare aspect. Grown Latinos can probably chuckle over the cartoonish silliness until it gets to the wake-up, when it suddenly becomes a “protecting my children” issue, regardless of whether the cartoon represents reality. Which is a stupid turn of phrase, but we have to talk that way because the non-category homosexual has polluted the language.

But this social sanction was not directed at penetrators-of-men, specifically. It is directed at any activity which reliably results in men ejaculating anywhere but a fertile human vagina. Masturbators, penetrators-of-animals, contraception-users, etc. So, there is not really any obsession with teh ghey in traditional Christianity or Judaism: the focus is non-procreative ejaculation (roughly). Before the 19th C, it was just one among many perversions.

great observation, btw. just like some people stay human all through some terrible thing, like a war, and some go on a looting spree when there’s a citywide power blackout. in modern culture however, that’s a social engineering problem, not a moral or character problem.
