A major bakery on the Northwest Side [of Chicago] once known for making Little Debbie snack cakes was sold earlier this month after an immigration audit cost the company about a third of its workers.
About 800 employees of the main Cloverhill Bakery on the Northwest Side and the company’s bakeries in Cicero and Romeoville lost their jobs when the audit found many were hired after presenting fake or stolen IDs. …
Aryzta bought Cloverhill in 2014. At the time, according to bakery employees and community organizers, most of the employees were natives of Mexico, most who’d been hired through Labor Network, a temporary-employment agency.
But many of those workers weren’t temporary in the dictionary sense of the word. Most were so-called “permatemps” — temp workers who actually were permanently employed at Cloverhill. Most had been there for years, at least, and some for decades.
Maybe Robert Mueller, after nailing small-time identity theft grifter Richard Pinedo, could pay attention to this kind of massive identity scam?
In 2015, under the Obama administration, ICE inspected the documentation of Labor Network’s employees at Cloverhill. In May 2017, the Trump administration sent letters to about 800 employees, saying they weren’t authorized to work in the United States, records examined by the Chicago Sun-Times show.
Those Hispanic employees didn’t return to work, leaving the bakery desperate to fill their jobs. So the company turned to another placement agency, Metro Staff Inc., and it provided Cloverhill with workers screened through the government’s “E-Verification” program. Most of those new employees are African American.
Ed French, owner of Elgin-based Metro Staff Inc., says his company became the main provider of workers for the bakery and that about 80 percent of them are black. …
According to a former consultant to the bakery, MSI paid the black workers $14 an hour, versus the $10 an hour the Mexican workers were making through Labor Network.
The consultant, Felix Okwusa, says the bakery offered its remaining Hispanic workers a $1-an-hour premium to train the black replacement workers.
But Okwusa says Cloverhill soon ran into problems. In a memo to the company, Okwusa, who is African American, wrote that the black workers “displayed a higher turnover rate of over 40 percent and a lower efficiency rate than their Hispanic co-workers.” …
Lynne Lane, a union steward at Cloverhill, says there are tensions as the two groups work side by side. Lane, who is black, says it was black workers at the bakery who called a government hotline to report the Mexican workers to immigration authorities.
“It was [African American] workers in the plant that saw, you know, like I said, that had been treated unfairly and treated like secondary-class citizens” by Hispanic workers, Lane says. “So it was a whole lot of employees in the company. Well, they was given a number, as far as I know. They was given a number to call … to call Immigration.”

Back to the main post, this article got me thinking about a time many years ago (probably W's first term) where a local Chinese buffet was raided by ICE and the next time I was in there many of the Chinese workers had been replaced by Hispanics (in my area they'd be Puerto Ricans). It now wouldn't surprise if some cheesed off Puerto Rican called The Man in on his boss's relatives.
Liberals and cucks would have to openly concede HBD and the differential IQ of the races to mount an effective protest, and they are not going to do that.
How many years of experience did the black employees have in comparision to the years of illegally gained employment experience of the illegally employed Hispanic workers who had left and who had apparently been protected in thier illegal conduct – for years – by the Hispanic employees that were either citizens or legally authorized to work in the US?
Related, I wasn’t a fan of Trump putting the tax cuts ahead of immigration, but it seems to have led to a lot of bonuses and raises.

The "tax cut" provision that raises taxes for many upper middle class Californians may wipe out half our local office holders. I'd gladly trade that for lower third world immigration. e-Verify IS the big stuff. Put some employers in jail and hit companies with big fines and you cut off the jobs in a hurry. Without jobs, the most powerful magnet for illegal immigration gets turned off. Implement e-Verify and biometric testing for everybody coming into and out of the country, coupled with real penalties for overstaying a visa, and watch the number of illegals drop significantly.

I think adding one more item would make your suggestion perfect. Model ICE enforcement on IRS enforcement. Offer a toll free number to call to report illegal employers and if your tip leads to successful prosecution then the one who tipped ICE off gets a cut of the fines.

The way to deal with the ‘Oh, wow, those IDs were fake, who knew?” situation is either to require that companies outsource this to qualified and approved contracting companies, like the Consumer Product Safety Commission requires for things like lead testing, or require audit trails where the ID checker must be identified himself and affirmatively state, on a form or a computer screen, the steps taken to verify ID, complete with record retention requriements such as clear digital photos of the ID and check-offs like “The Illinois drivers license shown was verified under magnification to have clear micro printing of the word ILLINOIS inside the upper left border,” and so on. If there is a future problem, it will be easy to prove fraud by a particular individual and send him to the slammer.
This is the sort of story that would make a thousand heads explode in America’s power centers, which is just one of several reasons it’ll never play big there.
In this case, what happens in Chicago will stay in Chicago, and the movers and shakers in NY and DC can carry on with Business As Usual. Close one though, huh.

There have been a few times when discussing the impact illegal immigration has on black unemployment, I have asked my fellow liberals in some more liberal forums why they hated blacks. That didn't make me popular.

The more times this happens, the more likely that the smartest blacks will vote to return President Trump to office in 2020.

Shockingly, illegal employees are less likely to be problems than legal employees. Helot labor is so much better than free citizens.
Blacks in Chicago are Americans and should be preferred over foreign workers. It’s not like you can fix these problems overnight, but actually having jobs for people in the black community is a necessary first step.

Mueller Indictment – The “Russian Influence” Is A Commercial Marketing Scheme
The published indictment gives support to our long held believe that there was no “Russian influence” campaign during the U.S. election. What is described and denounced as such was instead a commercial marketing scheme which ran click-bait websites to generate advertisement revenue and created online crowds around virtual persona to promote whatever its commercial customers wanted to promote. The size of the operation was tiny when compared to the hundreds of millions in campaign expenditures. It had no influence on the election outcome.
The indictment is fodder for the public to prove that the Mueller investigation is “doing something”. It distracts from further questioning the origin of the Steele dossier. It is full of unproven assertions and assumptions. It is a sham in that none of the Russian persons or companies indicted will ever come in front of a U.S. court. That is bad because the indictment is build on the theory of a new crime which, unless a court throws it out, can be used to incriminate other people in other cases and might even apply to this blog. The later part of this post will refer to that.

What happened to the black-brown alliance? The Sun-Times doesn’t sneer and deride the black tattlers as they would if they were white. If whites called the hotline then we’d hear how whites don’t work as hard as immigrants and just can’t stand the workplace and nation getting a little browner.
Despite my libertarian leanings, I am all for mandatory ID cards that show your citizenship/legal residency status and that you need to produce to get a job or vote. Most countries operate this way, including Mexico.
These same blacks who’re benefitting from Trump’s “white supremacist” immigration actions will still trot off to the polls to vote Democrat in 2018 and 2020. And in Chicago some will even vote from Democrats 4-5 times.

Ann Dunham's alleged marriage with Barack Obama never happened. A dump of CIA surveillance documents from the period after Barry's birth refers to his mother as "Miss Dunham."
Hillary's team almost certainly knew much of the true story but was unable to use it for political reasons. If she had challenged him, he would have pulled some "poor fatherless child" and "put-upon African-American" drama which would have finished Hillary politically with the Democratic electorate.
Even if the Kenyan was actually the bio-dad (or accepted paternity in Marshal Davis' place), there was most likely no marriage at all. Obama senior would have had to state his marital status on immigration forms, and bigamy would have led to instant expulsion. Even if he had purported to marry Ann, the marriage would have been invalid due to bigamy.
Legally, if Ann was unmarried when Barry was born (I think he may be 2-3 years older than he claims), then Obama would be eligible for the presidency EVEN IF born outside the U.S. This may be why Hillary never challenged him.

You are right. We have a duty to our black brethren – we don’t owe illegals squat.
I was too, but the politics of it may not have presented that as an option. It seems logical but in the horse trading behind the scenes not everyone who is weak on immigration was necessarily a tax-cut hawk.
This, in a nutshell, describes the “stealth” racism towards blacks the left has practiced for decades. The first prong of it is abortion and Planned Parenthood, which has disproportionately targeted blacks. If abortion were completely illegal, there would be a lot more black people, and the left knows that. The second prong is immigration. While it doesn’t affect the black population in total, it has reduced their percentage of the total by a significant amount. If the 1965 immigration act had not been passed, and if abortion were illegal, instead of 15% of the population what would the black percentage be now? Maybe twice that at least?
Why do people keep expecting peasant-culture people to not have peasant-culture attitudes? The first thing any immigrant does in a new country is complain about the lower and underclass of their new home as if:
Those people were the overwhelming majority and that the host country doesn’t deserve it’s wealth, therefore they are shockingly underpaid and should cheat the welfare state.

Well said FPD72. And Trump not pushing E-verify to the top of the agenda–pretty much the easiest sell by saying “American workers” and “oppose American worker protections”–is very disappointing.

The reason Mexico has a much higher murder rate than The U.S is because the Mexican drug cartels are way more dangerous, violent, and murder way more people than low level Black American drugdealers from the projects.
The Mexican drug cartels murder a much larger swath of people like innocent civilians, journalists, news reporters, politicians, law enforcement, etc while low level Black American drugdealers mostly murder other low level Black American drugdealers.

Slightly OT, but related to being black in Chicago. During the Chicago Blackhawks vs. Washington Capitals hockey game, played at Chicago’s United Center, Devante Smith-Pelly of the Caps was taunted with a racial slur, while he was in the penalty box. The fans nearby chanted “Basketball, basketball, basketball” at Smith-Pelly, who is black. I am sure that soon, when the rare white player on an NBA team stands at the foul line he will be greeted with chants of “Hockey, hockey, hockey.” The United Center is named after the sponsoring airline, not, you know, people coming together.

I.e. you're paying for something which benefits you--and perhaps which someone in some other state must provide for themselves. Now, of course, that's not someone the typical California Republican wants to hear, because they are--correctly--aware that those higher taxes in fact are just looting by an expansive parasitic state sector, and now they have to pay a larger part of the cost of it themselves (rather than see it shifted to other state's taxpayers).
It seems to me a good way to tackle these sort of "take back" reforms is to do a huge reform that creates a new code with much lower rates and slashes away absolutely everything (but child deductions). Then taxpayers can decided if they want to mess with the old code. Most people would not.

There was a story in one of the local papers recently that this Chicago ID would be accepted for voting purposes. It also underscores Trump's general dishonesty in his campaign promises. He advocated to end the carried interest rule that lets Wall Street scumbags pay 20% federal rates on their income instead of ordinary income rates. Of course he broke that promise.

As to the idea of an identification. Well, for very good reasons we maintain a tradition against "show us your papers!," but that – like juries, democracy, governmental welfare, and so much else – only works for a homogenous society with secure borders. Sadly, instead of choosing to be very strict about who can enter the place so we can permit those within great freedom (knowing they belong here and, barring the odd psychopath, mean us no harm) we have chosen to let everyone and his brother come and go as he pleases, and are this on the fast track to control and distrust between governmental officials and laypersons and amongst those laypersons. It's like choosing promiscuous sodomy and a cocktail of anti-retroviral drugs every day over just being discerning about sex in the first place. (Another area in which the more assinine choice has become the accepted way of doing things – not merely coincidentally!)

Blacks may be less conscientious workers but remember the old saying “the devil makes works for idle hands.” Much cheaper for society to subsidise an inefficient black factory worker than house and monitor a black prisoner. Social costs are for the general taxpayer to worry about.

This does not strike me as an unqualified success. The reason that American companies either moved manufacturing overseas or switched to a Hispanic workforce is that American blacks are not really great employees. They didn’t do a great job putting together Detroit cars, they are not great at your local post office and DMV, they are not great anywhere. They work less hard than Hispanics, they don’t show up or show up late and they cause more problems in the workplace. There is a big commercial bakery near where I live and they have a mostly black workforce but they are all Liberians and not American blacks. Ever since the US expanded welfare, American blacks prefer to receive welfare (or take government jobs where they can get away with slacking off) instead of working in private industry.
Stop fooling yourself. Most black employees are only smart and industrious in Wakanda. The ones we have here – not so much. Blacks want to work up to a point but their lives are “complicated” – the car won’t start, the babysitter didn’t show up, their son got arrested and they need to bail him out, etc. Somehow stuff keeps getting in the way of them being smart and industrious.
Okay. So what is to be done?
A few things would be helpful: 1. Figuring out a way to increase white fertility (without increasing non-white fertility even more). 2. Figuring out a way to decrease black fertility - abortion and birth control have been great for this. It would also be nice to figure out a way to put the black family back together again and make 2 parent families the black norm again instead of the rare exception. Illegitimacy rates were always higher with blacks but never as high as they are now. 3. Figuring out a way to get more whites to immigrate to the US. Maybe as Europe spins out of control this will become popular again.

If we needed a tax increase, ending the state and local deductions might have been OK. Instead they were raised to pay for giant tax cuts mainly for those with $1 million and higher incomes, plus some crumbs for the middle class, many of which have expirations on them.

Beats the f*ck out of me. Slavery was America’s original sin. That’s exactly right. I’ve been thinking about this since Mr. Trump was elected. Making sure that citizens have jobs – all citizens – will help save the black community from the plague visited upon them by soft-headed liberals and leftists: namely, welfare and all other forms of dependency, including the doctrine of blacks as victims. I just want to make sure he gets credit for it, and that everyone understands that the root cause for black unemployment is illegal immigration.

There were people standing in line all day for the chance to work. Oh, and every one that I saw in line was black.
There were about 10 times as many applicants waiting in line as there were jobs. Some other new store openings in Chicago had 20 to 30 times as many applicants as jobs. We are talking up to 10,000 blacks waiting in line.
So, do black jobs matter?

Blacks always vote how they are told to vote by their Big Men. Who are rarely really of their own choosing.
Not all Blacks, but between 80 and a little over 90 percent, which is functionally the same thing.
When an election isn’t important or when the black vote won’t throw it anyway, they just don’t tell the blacks to vote or how to and the results can be a wild card. When it’s important, the word always gets out to the black rank and file and they vote as they ‘be supposed to’.
The GOP can’t play that game even if they wanted to. Walking around money? They have no idea how to hand it out, to whom or how much. Besides, it’s kind of like some schmo offering to pull off a contract killing for the mob or a biker gang. Even if they had him do it, they aren’t going to pay him, they are going to kill him because there are no consequences to doing so and they eliminate a witness and possible rat. The Dems know when they pay results will be had and if not they have some leverage in the matter. Probably not a rubout, but things like loss of ecclesiastical creditation, exposure of mistresses, et al. All these guys are heavily compromised.
The GOP needs to focus on who will vote for them, which is white men and their wives, provided they are not completely debased or a member of a special interest group to which the Dems pander already.

Agree with your sentiment, but consider that more blacks have immigrated to the USA of their own free will in any recent ten-year period than were brought here during the entire 300 years of the Middle Passage. So while your sentiments are laudable, they may not be entirely legitimate.

Like so much else, the same thing that happened to downscale blacks-from the destruction of the nuclear family to the hollowing out of jobs-began to hit working class whites a few decades later. It is really more of a class based issue than anything: the blacks just got hit first, for a mix of reasons. The only thing that has changed is that the Democrats now take the position the Republicans did regarding blacks in the 80s. Normally, political polarization would mean the GOP takes the opposite tack, but since the GOP remains as incapable of criticizing employers as ever, this leaves the alt-right to be in the weird position of the Democrats of the 1980s. One person’s spoiled dysfunctional ingrates are another’s oppressed, ripped off workers… and vice versa. All depends on who you fetishize and who you couldn’t care less about.
(I should add-I think both views are wildly un-nuanced. There is a cultural problem in white working class communities, much like there was-there is-in poor black ones, especially regarding personal responsibility. It’s not a shock that many employers would prefer to look elsewhere. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of employers, who have been spoiled absolutely rotten by the last few administrations, who would go out of their way to “ensure” that “no qualified native candidates” popped up in their search-skipping over genuinely qualified ones who are willing to work-just to save a quick buck. This is flagrantly against greater societal stability and health-and would never be tolerated by the real economic success stories of the modern era in Asia. This is a national security issue, properly framed.)

Actually, getting a license in California is a bit of a pain in the ass unless you are a Mexican. The whole system is set up not so much to accommodate aliens as it is to specifically accommodate Mexicans. If a person is from some other nation, the bureaucrats are confused and nonplussed and unearth all kinds of hoops one must jump through to get to a point where one can do the things the system is already set up to do straightaway for Mexicans. The actual legislation of course is neutral, but the practice is to favour Mexicans (and begrudgingly accommodate others to keep with the letter of the statute…).
As to the idea of an identification. Well, for very good reasons we maintain a tradition against “show us your papers!,” but that – like juries, democracy, governmental welfare, and so much else – only works for a homogenous society with secure borders. Sadly, instead of choosing to be very strict about who can enter the place so we can permit those within great freedom (knowing they belong here and, barring the odd psychopath, mean us no harm) we have chosen to let everyone and his brother come and go as he pleases, and are this on the fast track to control and distrust between governmental officials and laypersons and amongst those laypersons.
