Trump Already Lessening Illegal Immigration

From Yahoo News:

The fears of the undocumented in the time of Trump

AFP
Javier Tovar, with Said Betanzos in Tijuana
AFPNovember 11, 2016

Los Angeles (AFP) – When would-be immigrants Bernardino and Samuel got word in Mexico of the election of Donald Trump, they immediately gave up their plans to cross illegally into the United States. …

Bernardino, a 34-year-old Honduran who declined to give his last name, was looking for a “coyote” to help him slip into the United States near the border city of Tijuana when he abandoned his plan. So did 18-year-old Samuel, a Salvadoran.

Both men said they feared that if they are caught, their family members living north of the border might suffer.

“Imagine if they stop me, after a while my family living over there would have problems. The truth I never imagined is that the blond man might win,” Samuel said at Padre Chava’s breakfast hall, a soup kitchen in downtown Tijuana that provides food and clothing for more than 1,000 immigrants every day.

It’s usually the other side that does that to us!

Does the blond man winning portend new hairstyle trends or just more pinatas for kid birthday parties and the next Cinco de Mayo? As administrations come and go fashion follows suit. No more Obama mom jeans, expect a more professional look with a dress code in the White House now. Trump could be very subversive of the media by encouraging polite behavior by staff, taking the mickey out of the democratic press corps.

It’s funny hearing Snoop Dogg refer to Tim Kaine as the N Word.

Snoop Dogg is hatin because Donald Trump is going to deport all of his Mexican gangbanger Vato friends in Long Beach, South Central, Watts, Compton, East Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, and Inglewood.

Snoop Dogg has close ties with the urban inner city anchor baby and undocumented Vatos.

I have an acquaintance, who's wife (asian) is a volunteer for a charitable organization. Their strategy is to go into neighborhoods in Tijuana, and select needy homes for refurbishment. They volunteer the labor, done by professionals in construction, and materials are from donations.

They strip a shitty Tiajuana home to the studs, rebuild with quality materials, new modern fixtures, add a room if possible, and leave dirt-poor families with what is essentially a new home. The families are all happy as clams. They love their refurbished house, and it provides the motivation to stay put, and work with what they have. If you have a decent home to return to, that you own, it makes facing a tough outside environment a lot easier, than returning to a tin-roofed shack.

This is the strategy we should embark on, rather than letting immigrants, legally nor not, transport themselves here, we should transport OUR lifestyle strategies, and world view to THEM. If they proceed to fail, they do it there, not here. If they do well, their success can likely spread like a virus to their neighbors.

Bringing their people here, and leaving those "too stupid to leave" behind, creates a weak country, since those with the "get up and go" get up and illegally immigrate, leaving the mediocre morass behind to do what they're told.

The point being, the "grand social experiment" is done on THEIR turf, not imported to ours, working with qualified candidates who might make something of their good fortune. It's a HELL of a lot more efficient, and cost effective, than bringing assorted unqualified folks HERE to sink or swim.

Illegal immigration allows for the best of a poor country to leave, and that's a social crime that liberal democrats are addicted to enabling, because they just can't let go of slavery. They must have house servants at low cost, regardless of the social outcome of either their country, or the country they victimize via the encouragement of illegal immigration.

    , @ic1000
    > ... ," Samuel said at Padre Chava’s breakfast hall, a soup kitchen in downtown Tijuana that provides food and clothing for more than 1,000 immigrants every day.

The reporter writes fuzzy prose about this breakfast hall. It appears not to serve "immigrants" -- it's in Tijuana, so "immigrants" would be Central Americans, Indians from the central highlands, etc., who have come to Northern Mexico to work and live.

Doubtful. This is a country that is famously unwelcome to poor foreigners from the South -- Mexico for the Mexicans.

If the average client stays a week at Father Chava's establishment, it would be a soup kitchen in downtown Tijuana that provides food and clothing for 50,000 people a year, to prepare them to illegally cross the Mexico-US border to become illegal aliens in the United States.

I'd expect that coyotes join with the narco cartels and the Soros Foundation in enthusiastically supporting these kinds of establishments. Good for business.

Not so. Illegal immigrant's rights are still limited. There's not a lot they can do. Eisenhower, when he got fed up, sent illegal Mexican's back by the busloads.

Also, if you understand anything about Mexican culture, you know they are people who like to have a nice day. They don't have the patience to put up with constant contention and uncertainty in a country they don't fully understand. They will gravitate towards certainty, and that's in Mexico, not here.

The big bomb that has yet to be dropped is stopping federal dollars to Sanctuary cities. That's gonna put a lot of liberal politician's balls in a vice, especially in California. I can't wait to see what they do when willfully undermining federal law starts costing them money. Or rather, I can't wait to hear their justifications when they drop like a house of cards. In NYC, we might be seeing an insane amount of rentals opening up on the upper west side. How is whitey, desperate to live in Manhattan, going to craft a protest over that outcome? Above 125th street on the west side, it's essentially Dominican. Massive piles of illegal Dominican immigrants dominate the land there, since they ethnically cleansed it of blacks decades ago. In Los Angeles, where libs are howling to the moon over outrageous rent increases, what are they going to say when decent swaths of Boyle Heights opens up with reasonable rents?

I cannot wait. The next 4 years is going to be awesome. As the new conservative republican movement rebrands and grows, the dems, like a dysfunctional family, will destroy itself. I LOVE the fact that they're currently doubling down. Keep protesting, you idiots!

good for those homeowners, and prolly the only ethical alternative to open borders. But in practise, raising living standards in the 3rd world only encourages immigration to the west.
Unfortunately, only a harsh border regime can control immigration. But that prolly flies in the face of ethical considerations.

We aren't anti-Mexican, we just want them to fix their own country and be happy there. If Mexico becomes more like Canada , you won't see many people jumping the fence. And we should welcome Mexicans as tourists in our country. We can have a border and still allow trade and tourism.

Nah. Since this story features Mexican priests I should just point out a sort-of related story I read the other day about Mexican police finding a kidnapped priest who was still alive but with obvious "marks of torture". Kidnappings of Roman Catholic priests, especially of the "activist" stripe (not necessarily full Liberation Theology, just against the more egregious forms of local corruption), is pretty common in Mexico.

As bad as black crime and social dysfunction is, on reflection I rather like how it does not leave the confines of its own neighborhoods, let alone organize paramilitary forces to attack police, the judiciary, or the families of innocent citizens who get in their way.

I think the would be illegal might have just given policy makers a way to keep illegals out. How about targeting illegal and legal family members who support their illegals family members for special persecution for traficking? That would very quickly discourage them from bringing their relatives, and the relatives would not come here out of fear for their family members.

It is the support system of immigrants already here that drives more immigration.

I bet the money for that Tijuana soup kitchen comes straight outta Cali. There’s lots of low-hanging fruit in this illegal immigration racket. One might even say that it’s “rotting in the fields.”

I like the idea of home improvement for Mexicans as a method to deter immigration, but

we should transport OUR lifestyle strategies, and world view to THEM

we’ve been trying this in SE Asia and the middle east over for fifty years at a cost of hundreds of billions in US taxpayer dollars and close to 100,000 US lives with zero success.

Of course, none of this should come as any shock to anyone who's actually been paying attention...

Had the President-elect consulted me on the matter, I would have advised him to answer all such questions concerning Supreme Court nominees in the following way:

The only criteria I will use for nominating judges will be their qualifications, competence and integrity. I will choose judges whom I believe to be dedicated to ruling according to the Constitution and upholding the rule-of-law-- NOT any particular ideology or agenda of any type. Neither my personal views on any particular issue, nor those of any of the judges I will nominate should be relevant to this matter of Supreme Court nominees. Having said that, I will also say that it's hardly a secret that the judicial philosophy I have just described is one which rejects rulings such as Roe vs. Wade vs. Obergefell vs. Hodges...

Nah. Since this story features Mexican priests I should just point out a sort-of related story I read the other day about Mexican police finding a kidnapped priest who was still alive but with obvious “marks of torture”. Kidnappings of Roman Catholic priests, especially of the “activist” stripe (not necessarily full Liberation Theology, just against the more egregious forms of local corruption), is pretty common in Mexico.

As bad as black crime and social dysfunction is, on reflection I rather like how it does not leave the confines of its own neighborhoods, let alone organize paramilitary forces to attack police, the judiciary, or the families of innocent citizens who get in their way.

Aside from when I fell out of a tree and broke my arm at 7 years old, I've never had a need to go to a hospital emergency room. Over the past five years, several urgent care centers have popped up all over my Florida city; all them open long hours and accept my HMO health insurance. On three occasions over the past five years, I've had a (non-critical emergency) medical need, paid my $20 co-pay and was seen by a PA or ARNP w/i ten minutes. It seems like these places are hungry and competing for patients.

  71. If Trump needs a new law to cut off funding to criminal sanctuary cities, as I suspect he does, then his first order of business should be cracking down on criminal employers of criminal aliens, starting at the top. And in criminal sanctuary cities. It’s only right that they take the brunt of the crackdown. Elections have consequences. In politics, you reward your friends, and punish your enemies. From what I've seen in the mainstream media and Negro discussion boards, the vast majority of Black Americans said they are extremely offended about what Donald Trump has said about Mexicans and building a wall.

I don't see any problem with him saying that non-felon-committing illegal aliens are OK people --- as long as he boots their illegal asses back to Mexico. Most of these folks are just people wanting a better life after having gotten shit on by NAFTA (about which, read here, and prepare to become angry!). Can't really blame them since we've done nothing to secure our borders. Personally, I have no animus against someone wanting a better life, but they need to go about immigrating in the right way, the legal way -- and right now, the U.S. doesn't need any immigrants from anywhere, though I DO think we should take Christian refugees from the Middle East, people against whom actual genocide is being committed while the mainstream media sleep, of course.

Middle-Eastern Christians, who'd fit into this country well, unlike Muslims, are being slaughtered by Muslims at a rate of one every 5 minutes -- but Obama won't let them into this country, and even refuses to call what's going on "genocide." But other than true refugees who'd assimilate here, we shouldn't take immigrants from any-damned-where at this point in our History, with our economy the way it is, our industry gone (for now!), and a welfare state in full force.

Another uncomfortable factoid libs ignore is the fact that California is essentially desert scrubland, and desalinization plants costs a lot of money to run, and carry a large "exhaust" problem:

Salt. You can't just dump it back into the water.

Not to mention the overall inherent damage to the environment where they plop their desalinization plant.

This brings us back to illegal immigration. If Ann Coulter's estimates are correct, and her past reporting gives us no reason to assume otherwise, we have around 40 million illegals scattered about these United States. If we were to hazard a guess of how many were in California, I don't think at least 5 million, not including their anchor babies, would be unreasonable.

So if we do the math of how many gallons of water an average person uses per day, multiply by 5 million, and we're talking a significant amount of water being sucked out of our supply daily, to hydrate illegals and their anchor babies. This is putting us on a direct course to desalinization plants, as well as repurposing sewage water, as San Diego has begun doing.

Why does everything Democrats touch turn into a massive shitshow?

I can't think of any major social movements they've been behind that didn't turn rancid.

They even made a movie about it with Tim Hutton called "The Book of Daniel," that was all about the Rosenberg's victimization. I notice it's not available on Netflix. Never will be.

If America is like a bus, more immigrants will mean blacks getting pushed to the back of the bus by more and more arrivals.

If blacks wanna be Californized in all of America, okay!!

Blacks used to be the #1 minority. Biggest and most important minority. But they are now #2 due to massive Hispanic immigration. And India says it wants to export 300 million Hindus to other nations.

So, if we have total open borders and if all those Hindus wanna come to US, are blacks fine with that? 3oo million more Hindus in the USA!!! And limitless arrival from South of Border and all of Latin America.

How common is black sympathy for Mexicans in greater LA? Municipalities and neighborhoods that used to be overwhelmingly black (e.g. Compton) now have solid Mexican/Central American majorities. Black's may still control mayor's offices and city councils at the moment but that will not last.

“How common is black sympathy for Mexicans in greater LA?”

From what I’ve seen in the mainstream media and Negro discussion boards, the vast majority of Black Americans said they are extremely offended about what Donald Trump has said about Mexicans and building a wall.

Black Americans like to be the guardians for all Nonwhite groups.

Black Americans are extremely paranoid that after Donald Trump comes for the Hispanics and the Muslims, he’s going to go after them next.

Just stop for goodness sake. You're just embarrassing yourself. You rode this pony too long during the election. Now you look like the vaudeville comedian who can't figure out why his schtick doesn't work anymore. Find a different fake identity or switch it up. Do a robot "duck", or a ghost duck. Anything. This is simply boring, annoying and sad.

You could do like I did awhile back–put his name on “Commenters to ignore.” You’ll never have to read him again.

Didn't Trump say on 60 Minutes last night that non-criminal illegal aliens are great people?

I don’t see any problem with him saying that non-felon-committing illegal aliens are OK people — as long as he boots their illegal asses back to Mexico. Most of these folks are just people wanting a better life after having gotten shit on by NAFTA (about which, read here, and prepare to become angry!). Can’t really blame them since we’ve done nothing to secure our borders. Personally, I have no animus against someone wanting a better life, but they need to go about immigrating in the right way, the legal way — and right now, the U.S. doesn’t need any immigrants from anywhere, though I DO think we should take Christian refugees from the Middle East, people against whom actual genocide is being committed while the mainstream media sleep, of course.

Middle-Eastern Christians, who’d fit into this country well, unlike Muslims, are being slaughtered by Muslims at a rate of one every 5 minutes — but Obama won’t let them into this country, and even refuses to call what’s going on “genocide.” But other than true refugees who’d assimilate here, we shouldn’t take immigrants from any-damned-where at this point in our History, with our economy the way it is, our industry gone (for now!), and a welfare state in full force.

You do realise Kris Kobach has been brought into the fold? That he doesn’t need to respond on 60 Minutes as if he were WhiteAvenger1488? That its not 100% either or?

That black woman is so stupid.

Okay, they'll just be squeezed further to the back of the bus.

I bet the money for that Tijuana soup kitchen comes straight outta Cali. There’s lots of low-hanging fruit in this illegal immigration racket. One might even say that it’s “rotting in the fields.”

Unlawful entry is a crime, but a lot of illegals enter lawfully as fake asylum applicants and visa overstays.

Most of them are also identity thieves, many illegally vote, and for all intents and purposes all of them have failed to register as resident aliens (obscure law that’s usually only enforced in espionage cases, but it is on the books and it is a felony).

According to census.gov, blacks are just 9.1% of the population in LA County (surprisingly that's up 0.4% since 2010). Aren't blacks politically and economically a non-factor in La County?

Blacks are only 9% of LA county but they used to have large majorities in cities like Compton within the county.

Steve, you going to write about the 60 Minutes interview? Did you notice that Ivanka said her focus was going to be wage inequality for women? Not that you can really expect Trump's daughter to be more conservative than W's daughters are.

Did you notice that he said the non-felon illegals here are great people?

Also from the 60 MINUTES interview:

    https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/trump-i-will-appoint-pro-life-justices-but-gay-marriage-is-settled-law

[...]Stahl noted that some states might completely outlaw abortions and Trump simply responded, “Well, they’ll perhaps have to go to another state.”

Asked about LGBTQ issues, Trump defended himself. “I have been in their corner,” he said. Regarding homosexual “marriage,” Trump flatly stated, “It’s settled law,” and “I’m fine with that.”

Of course, none of this should come as any shock to anyone who’s actually been paying attention

Had the President-elect consulted me on the matter, I would have advised him to answer all such questions concerning Supreme Court nominees in the following way:

The only criteria I will use for nominating judges will be their qualifications, competence and integrity. I will choose judges whom I believe to be dedicated to ruling according to the Constitution and upholding the rule-of-law– NOT any particular ideology or agenda of any type. Neither my personal views on any particular issue, nor those of any of the judges I will nominate should be relevant to this matter of Supreme Court nominees. Having said that, I will also say that it’s hardly a secret that the judicial philosophy I have just described is one which rejects rulings such as Roe vs. Wade vs. Obergefell vs. Hodges…

We aren’t anti-Mexican, we just want them to fix their own country and be happy there. If Mexico becomes more like Canada , you won’t see many people jumping the fence. And we should welcome Mexicans as tourists in our country. We can have a border and still allow trade and tourism.

need to make it a crime for legal and illegal immigrants to collect welfare, food stamps and Medicaid. Then start prosecuting.
it should be a crime for illegal and legal aliens to even apply for food stamps, welfare and medicaid.

51 percent (8.3 million) of legal and illegal immigrants in the US reported using one or more welfare programs in 2012. Need to immediately cut off these 8 million aliens from benefits.

Only U.S. citizens should be eligible for welfare benefits. Even legal green card holders should not be eligible.
