The attack on Trump today in Dayton.

Trump attacker playing Stanley Kowalski last fall

The man arrested for charging at Donald Trump today in Akron, Ohio is amateur actor Tommy DiMassimo, who recently appeared as Stanley Kowalski in a Wright State U. production of A Streetcar Named Desire. His now deleted Twitter account was under the moniker “Marlon Bando.” He had previously played Mr. Darcy in a Wright State mounting of Pride and Prejudice.

DiMassimo has a history of highly theatrical Hate Whitey statements, threats, and gestures like dragging an American flag around as part of an anti-white protest. Here’s an archive of his tweets.

His mother Faye DiMassimo is an important executive in mayor Kasim Reed’s Atlanta city government.

Although Tommy sometimes seems to try to look black or Arab in his self-promoting provocations, the DiMassimos appear to be white (although that might not be 100% true — I haven’t found a picture of his father.)

Tommy is listed as a white male on his booking statement.

Rupert Pupkin is Robert De Niro’s anti-hero in Martin Scorsese’s 1983 comedy The King of Comedy, which is a sort of follow-up to Taxi Driver in which De Niro played Travis Bickle, who tries to murder a Presidential candidate and then rescues a 13-year-old prostitute played by Jody Foster, which in turn led to John Hinckley Jr. nearly murdering President Reagan to impress Foster. In the latter movie, Rupert Pupkin is a talentless would-be comedian who takes hostage the host of the top late night show, played by Jerry Lewis, and holds him hostage in return for being allowed to do his routine on national television.

There are a lot of flakey and potentially dangerous people out there, so perhaps it would be prudent for the Respectable Media to tone down the Trump Is Hitler rhetoric before something permanent happens, like it did to immigration restrictionist Dutch PM candidate Pim Fortuyn in 2002. But, you know, Fortuyn had it coming.

Here’s Trump’s reaction to the attack

I don’t think he’s trying to look black and Arab per se so much as adopting a thuggish, hip hop type style that many young males adopt. John Gotti’s grandson, named John Gotti himself, for example has a similar style, and he’d probably torch your car if you told him that he was trying to look like a black or Arab:

  5. …. so wouldn’t it be prudent for the Respectable Media to tone down the Trump Is Hitler rhetoric before something permanent happens like it did with Pim Fortuyn?

You’re right about this. I’d add that some of the most unhinged people seem to be at the Glen Beck end of the spectrum. Beck, Erik Erikson, Matt Walsh and several others are tweeting furiously against Trump, sometimes in literally apocalyptic terms. I hadn’t heard of most of these Blaze.com people until a few days ago but they have tens of thousands of followers. I get the impression these people have no sense that Trump and his supporters are well within the normal bounds of democratic, constitutional politics and instead they’re certain the American Republic is in immediate danger.

    4) So much weird video on this guy. Flag-stomping activism, drooling gaze at black male bodies, recurring music video theme of bare-chested black men shooting white police in some kind of Marxist revolution, etc etc.

  13. On one hand, this guy will probably get a fine for disorderly conduct. On the other, he could have been shot by the Secret Service. I’m not sure what his goal could have been–both outcomes would have been pathetic. Maybe he wanted the crowd to beat him up or something.

    Steve,

In the 24 hours leading up to the rally, DiMassimo tweeted about hating white people, becoming a martyr, and physically attacking Trump at the rally.

    Here’s an archive:

    https://archive.is/jqPws

And he was released on $3,000 bail after a few hours?? Should be in jail!

  16. I’ve just been reading the list of assassination attempts on US presidents. I’d say Trump is relatively safe. The most likely people to try it would be Muslim terrorists because of his promise to cut off Muslim immigration. It’s unlikely any would-be assassin will come from the SJW ranks. In the past, it was mostly right-wingers or psychotics/fanatics without any clear ideology who tried it.

I take heart that my vote counts for so much less than an inhabitant of Puerto Rico or someone in Wyoming, both societies well versed in how to manage 21st-century societies with large numbers of inhabitants. Our country needs, and probably will get, more Puerto Rican style probity, in regards our public resources and tax revenue, and Wyoming savvy in regards to the complex world we live in.

Of course, maybe Wyoming people understand what is at stake, but don’t really care about those of us living in more populous areas. Do tornadoes hit Wyoming? One can only hope.

While extending a big middle finger to the inhabitants of that state, and hoping that Pres. Trump will resettle refugees in their midst. I have to ask, who or which demographic voted for the Twink?

Lackwit Scandinavians or Mormons (not that any of those categories are exclusive) went for Cruz, I’m guessing. But Marcuito?

Cruz gets 8 delegates because 616 idiots, or thereabouts, think that an unctuous delivery = statesmanship & piety.

Trump needs to use the kind of Blackwater mercs who protected Paul Bremer outside The Green Zone. I wasn’t impressed how a solitary fat unathletic guy could make it within feet of Trump before being wrestled to the ground. Secret Service might be good as far as executive bodyguards go, but the anti-Trump rhetoric and threats are way beyond a lone political assassin. Drugs cartels and oligarchs want him dead. Show hosts like Bill Maher are openly wishing for it. Even establishment conservatives are wishing for it.

But cheating can usually only help in a close contest. If Trump wins that actual vote by a big margin, I don’t think they can cheat enough without getting caught.

The question is, who will do the cheating? Will it be in Republican controlled counties, or Democratic controlled counties?

  39. He may have a respectable beard but as the guy has zero glute development he needs to invest in a belt.

  40. The silent middle majority will register its disgust and fear on election day.

But it’s a question of timing. If you want to vote in Florida’s primary next Tuesday, you have to have registered as a member of the relevant party by a few weeks ago. Angry voters from “the middle” can’t do shit next Tuesday unless they’re already registered Republicans.

  41. I don’t know about Kowalski, but Brando as Kowalski was pretty fit.

  42. Of course he looks like Stanley Kowalski. His Twitter handle is Marlon Brando.

  43. Do you think Tarantino’s particular take on Sicilian genetics has anything to do with the fact his mom dated blacks when he was a kid?

  44. Regardless, Cruz isn’t winning Florida, even if Trump doesn’t. Cruz isn’t winning Ohio either. Cruz will only be picking up delegates in big states with diverse populations (MO, IL, NC), the kind of states he consistently loses to Trump. His comments blaming Trump for the cancellation of his rally won’t play well in those states.

Wyoming is the kind of place Cruz does well: places with few minorities. He’s running out of those states.

  50. Went to Wright State back in the early 80s. The theatre majors would sometimes show up in the “quad” in their leg warmers and do interpretive dance, much to everyone’s delight. One summer I worked as a bouncer for a local disco joint which featured acts by “Dow and Astrid” a comedy duo. Dow had also attended the Wright State theatre program and worked the Trolley Stop in the historic district where he livened his act with local bluegrass and folk riffs. He had a song “50 Ways to Kill Your Lover” with lyrics “Hit her with a bus, Gus. Shoot in the head, Fred. Stick her face in the fan, Sam” etc etc.

He would dress in an ape costume and stumble around the stage to the tune of “2001, A Space Odyssey” until he found a guitar, then after sniffing and shaking it would start belting out black Delta blues interspersed with jokes. Or he would put on an old man mask and tell old people jokes (“She told the cop I assaulted her. I said what am I being charged with Assault With a Dead Weapon? ta-doom-tish I mean she’s so ugly..(the crowd yells “How ugly is she?”)…etc etc).

Inevitably someone would show up yelling about how they were going to get rich with Amway. So he did a skit to the tune of Sinatra’s “My Way” where he would dress up as a nerd singing “What is a Nerd? What has he got?” with the refrain “What’s more than this? I’m selling Amway” which the crowd drunkenly sang along with.

Not hardly . If you have ever trained or been in a fight you would realize that 90% + of americans ( and this chubby hipster is definitely included in the demographic ) cannot keep swinging and throwing haymakers , let alone getting knocked down and getting up multiple times for more than 2 or 3 minutes . If you doubt me , go to any gym and start wailing on the heavy bag with haymakers and round house kicks . See how many 3 minute rounds you can go with 1 minute rests between rounds .

They are often derided by liberals for their devotion to such an antiquated document. Yet Cruz just caved on the 1st Amendment less than 24 hours after Chicago. Look at 100 Swedes and 100 Sudanese mixed together and you would be able to correctly identify each person as a Swede or Sundanese. Now, if you had 100 Swedes and 100 Greeks, you’d get some of them right, maybe more than half, but you’d often identify a Swede as a Greek or vice versa. 100 Swedes and 100 Poles (or Germans), you’d have a very hard time telling the difference.

    * “Much easier if the cops handle it, don’t we agree…” A response to the “Trump beats up hippies” story line, plus the “don’t we agree” which pushes the crowd to actually agree with him.

    * “What a great job” Acknowledges the cops, which plays well with the crowd.

    * “And to think I had such an easy life, what do I need this for” Addresses the rich guy story line, plus shifts it to his quasi-humble assertion that he’s just returning something to the nation where he gained great wealth.

And all done with a sort of wise-guy New Yorker affect.

He’s been at this sort of thing a long time and he’s an instinctive salesman. I can’t think of any other candidate this cycle who could have extemporaneously created as good of a response.

Trump’s no conservative, doesn’t have much of an intellectual framework to guide his beliefs, and would sell out any of his current positions to gain some sort of “deal”, but, dammit, he keeps on putting on a class for how to deal with the anti-free-speech left.

Until quite recently, the king of Sweden was styled, “king of the Swedes, the Goths, and the Vandals.” Swedes, properly so called, come from Suecia, the middle part of modern Sweden. The Goths in question are the inhabitants of Gotland, the southern third of Sweden. The Vandals are the Wends, an originally Slavic people from the former Wasa domains in what is now northern Poland. The claim to these three kingdoms accounts for the three crowns on the Swedish coat of arms.

“Greeks are pretty similar to Turks, but we draw a big line because that’s where Christianity ends and Islam begins. But Greeks are closer to Turks than they are to Swedes, genetically.”

In ancient times, most of Asia Minor was colonized by Greeks. Ephesus, Colossae, Antioch, Laodicea, and other places mentioned in the New Testament, were populated by ethnic Greeks, as was Bithynia, where Pliny the Younger served as a Roman colonial governor. Claudiopolis, the capital of Bithynia, was reputed to have been settled by Greeks from Arcadia. The Hellenophilic emperor Hadrian is supposed to have been as charmed by the archaic purity of the Greek spoken by his favorite Antinous as he was by the boy’s physical beauty.

The Seljuk Turks were comparatively late invaders and of different racial/ethnic stock. As late as 1140 AD, the Byzantines still held all of those Greek colonial settlements. Ethnic Greeks still maintained distinct communities in the Ottoman Empire right up until its end. They were driven out by Ataturk’s revolution.

  106. In fairness, I have seen people in very good cardio shape who can run several miles gas out in thirty seconds of throwing punches with 16 ounce gloves on because everyone pushes the punches before being taught how to snap them like a whip.

Anyone who has trained in boxing for even just a few months will be able to see punches from an opponent come long before they land, too. This is because virtually everyone telegraphs their punches by chicken winging their arms out to the side first or raring back and winding up. Train a few months with some real boxers and 99 percent of the public will look underwater windmilling away in comparison.

And @ mike1, wrestling is a good base and great for keeping the fight standing or taking down a better boxer, but what if you run into someone you can’t take down – a better wrestler, someone very athletic and bigger, or someone who stuns you with a punch before you can shoot a double or single leg? Or what if you clinch and get put in the plum by someone who knows muay thai? Heck, I have seen decent footwork circling alone give wrestlers hell because they are used to straight in engagement. Wrestlers dont win all the mma fights anymore, and that hasn’t been true for a long time. Trump’s no conservative, doesn’t have much of an intellectual framework to guide his beliefs, and would sell out any of his current positions to gain some sort of “deal”, but, dammit, he keeps on putting on a class for how to deal with the anti-free-speech left.

What is a conservative? The common denominator seems to be globalism, belligerent Zionist foreign policy and all for the investor class.

I would say a guy who’s even open to deal-making, let alone actually making deals, is infinitely preferable to every other candidate and politician who who dares not deviate from his overlords. This is why Trump is being barraged with calumnious attacks like no other person in history.

  115. This subject deserves some elaboration.

Modern Italians, and indeed the whole of Southern Europe, are 2-3+% sub-Saharan on average, and in some regions are actually majority non-European, being North African and/or West Asian. This is a genetic fact. This is the result of ancient Roman conquest, migration and Islamic invasion.

In the case of Portugal they additionally imported black slaves and assimilated them.

You can clearly see by DiMassimo’s pics that he is very representative of this genetic reality both phenotypically and in his behavior. He clearly has some sub-Saharan admixture.

No intelligent person trains to take a punch. You train to avoid a punch.

Some people do have an innate resistance to physical trauma while others can be KO’d easily, or suffer permanent brain damage or death from the same level of damage.

Concussive damage is cumulative. It’s not like a muscle that benefits from being worked. The more damage you take, the worse it gets and it never adapts to become stronger. You always want to avoid concussive damage, especially within 1-2 months of initial injury.

Severe and permanent damage is from repeated blows. That’s why MMA is actually less damaging than boxing and football where athletes in the latter two take repeated concussive damage over a short duration.

Bullies generally harass weaker people who they think are not a threat. They are sadistic cowards by nature.

The impression I get is that it’s hard to make any ideological classification of the would-be assassin anyhow – I suspect mental illness was the main factor in what most of them did. Would any sane person risk lethal injection to replace Obama with Biden, or Bush with Cheney? Of course Trump is genuinely different from the alternatives available. But today’s SJWs are a fairly soft bunch, and I think – and hope – none of them will ever have the courage to try being the next Lee Harvey Oswald.

  134. Problematizing the normal is Tres Alinsky.

  135. In general you are correct, but no one reacts well to being hit until it has happened enough times that they are used to dealing wih the brain freezing. This comes from years of seeing people learning to box, and from conversations with high level boxing coaches who have trained hundreds of people. The ability to absorb punches without being knocked out – having a “good chin” – is a totally different discussion and subject, though that is pretty much like punching power and almost totally genetic, at least the physical part is.

No one trains to get punched on purpose, but in boxing it is unavoidable when one first starts sparring. It is similar to nfl qbs learning not to panic when being hit in the pocket – not a natural response at all and they have to train their brain to not freak out and freeze. But until one has experienced being punched or tackled hard in the pocket as a qb enough times to control their brains reaction to it, 100 percent of people will freeze and panic after being hit. If you doubt this then you have not trained with actual boxers of a high ability who can land punches at will on people new to boxing – and avoiding punches via defense is by far the hardest aspect of boxing to learn and separates decent skill levels from good boxers every single time.

As far as brain trauma, it was thought that mm was a lot safer initially, but it turns out that people being pinned against the fence or floor and being hit in the head is far more dangerous than once thought because the brain and head have nowhere to roll with the ounch and move. It is why so many mma fighters who were competing a lot around a decade ago seem totally punch drunk now. If you are worried about brain damage, then football, boxing, and mma are sports to avoid.

  136. I hadn’t thought of that. It would have been reasonable to pull out a gun in the circumstances, seeing that his attackers had made it past the security boundaries. But how would it have played out then? It would enhance his popularity with a lot of supporters, but the media would spin it against him. The aggressors would be interviewed later and made to seem benign and likeable, and Trump would be made to look a bit paranoid and scary.

    4. 5. muslims are still enslaving people and slaughtering them all over africa and the mid east, and now even in europe with the rape scandal in England

    6. the media and politicians like obama used hate speech to cause ferguson and baltimore to be burned to the ground in cases where they ended up being completely wrong on the facts of the case

    7. sjw types are always talking about rape culture, but ignore the numerous claims against bill clinton and the recent rapefugee crisis in europe from muslim immigrants with an explosion of sexual asssaults

These examples are just off the top of my head, but they demonstrate that the people applauding trump being silenced at a rally do not care about murder or hate speech leading to murder, or else they would be protesting all of the above. Uh, no, it’s not a “genetic fact” that in some parts of Southern Europe they are majority non-European. Even Kevin MacDonald doesn’t ascribe whole heartedly to that nonsense.

FACT: Italians are white. Historical Europeans for last 20plus thousand years were white.

FACT: Spain and Portugal imported some black slaves as in a few thousand at most in nations of close to a couple of million by the way. This occured around the mid 1400′s but both nations soon quit importing them to Iberia once their New World empires proved to be a more suitable place (and more profitable place) for widespread slave labor. If anything, since it occurred nearly 600 yrs ago, these miniscule Sub-saharan populations would’ve mostly died out since they didn’t have any DNA to continually replenish their supplies.

    Stop with the leg pulling.

But it does go to show that in 2016, John Derbyshire’s “ethnomascism” does appear to be in full force. That this Dimassimo is acting out in the trenches the theories laid out by earlier adherents such as Tim Wise: That white people should be ashamed of being white.
