From ABC 15 in Darlington County, South Carolina in 2017:

Lamar elects first female African-American mayor

by Tonya Brown Thursday, November 9th 2017

Lamar, S.C. (WPDE) — Darnell Byrd-Mcpherson has been elected as the first African-American woman mayor for the Town of Lamar.

Last month:

Lamar mayor’s cars vandalized, may be considered hate crime

by Tonya Brown Friday, February 8th 2019

Darlington County, SC (WPDE) — Lamar Mayor Darnell Byrd-McPherson said someone came onto her property Wednesday night and vandalized her cars.

Byrd-McPherson said the vandalism maybe investigated as a hate crime.

She released the following statement on the incident:

“The incident happened last night. Even though I drove my car today, I thought it was pollen. My husband and our neighbor noticed the cars looked like someone had spray painted on both our vehicles, which were parked in our front yard.

“As an aside, during the 70s, crosses were burned in the yard of our home when my Mother was involved with the civil rights movement. On this very same corner in this very same front yard!

“Again, we are grateful the person or persons did not try to take our lives but the culprits will be identified and prosecuted.

“Love conquers hate and my husband and I refuse to be intimidated by those who perpetrated this act of vandalism which I classify as an act of hatred.”

Byrd-McPherson referenced how bills are being introduced to address hate crimes in the South Carolina General Assembly. She added hate crimes are on the rise in the state.

And finally:

Well. As a genderqueer shantak I am grateful that we cleared up who it was that gets to determine what is a hate crime: the same party to determines one’s own pronouns.

Ah, so it was also a sexual assault.

Once again, the trees of the South bear strange fruit.

    Trees are just so hateful.

Plants can hate, too, but if it was pollen it would be more like a plant sex crime.

Hate Crime: if one is a member of group X and commits a crime against a member of a group that is not X, the perp shall then be guilty of the crime of hate with the specified premium sentence.

The next question is how many groups.

    5 or 52?

I like the cops’ comment that, no, they didn’t take a sample for lab tests because it was obviously pollen.

The woman herself contradicts her own story, saying it wiped right off cleanly and had none of the characteristics of spray paint.

I guess she’s unfamiliar with pollen. The rancher in New Mexico who found the Roswell “spacecraft” was unfamiliar with Mylar plastic, so it seemed like a from-the-future supermaterial that regained its shape no matter what you did. Today any kid knows it from cereal bags and is frustrated by the way it defies any attempt to be waded up and thrown away. So if you’re not familiar with something, it’s easy for your imagination to get carried away

  15. It is a scientific fact that oak trees are prejudiced against certain vehicles and they can really lay it on some years.

A few years ago after freshly washing my black car the neighborhood oak trees decided to dump on me and the display was punctuated by one of the misfit neighbor children (race unknown–it was a pretty mixed up neighborhood) had traced fuck you in the yellow pollen on the driver door with their finger.

Please do not get any ideas here; I don’t want anybody causing unnecessary trouble for their sensitized neighbors.

Perhaps someone more talented than I am could write a parody of the famous “A Blind Man’s Penis” song:

My lawn jockey ignited yesterday and I was fined
    and I was fined
My lawn jockey ignited yesterday and I was fined
    and I was fined

Siemens electrics lit him up from inside
Turns out the short was caused by cicadas in his behind
Cicadas crawling up in in his behind

The cops said I was wascist because lawn jocks are way behind
lawn jocks are way behind the times
The First Amendment protects speech but not athletic statues
Statues that to negroes that are unkind
Statues that to negroes are unkind

Gates Barbecue has a lawn jockey on the front
but that’s protected even if the place goes up in smoke and charred contraband
Ollie Gates is a good thinker and you’re a jamoke
A jamoke because your hide is just too uncoked and bland

This was written by John Trubee, as a project to see if he could write something so debased and crude the song sharks would refuse and refund his money. Surprisingly, they recorded it, making the formerly failed country singer Ramsey Kearney something of a hipster celebrity in his dotage.

  17. This has been discussed over and over on this site, but these people do indeed know they’re lying, but believe their lie is serving a greater purpose (although the pollen for spray paint is a new one). The last time I was in a black chuch, before O. was out of office, they had both of his books for sale at a small kiosk along with others by black ministers and such.

Oh, and by the way, not sure if Steve covered it, but the Methodists put the kibosh on a lot of the gay stuff in the past week or two due to the lobbying of the black Methodists.

I guess it’s like poker. You have a chance of figuring out a player who’s playing rationally, but very little chance of one who is not. This is to say (again, been covered here before), as socially coservative as church-going blacks are, it’s still an article of faith that they have to vote for libs/dems/lefties no matter what. And I, and I’m assuming the vast majority of Whites can’t wrap their mind around this. Most church goers are in the R column, except them.

It should be obvious to everyone that the trees in question were simply trying to raise awareness. It’s also possible that the trees were offended by POCs’ well-known prejudices against the natural world, and were exacting revenge. Nature can be cruel like that.

  27. @anon

It will also be logged at the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism and most likely has already been sent to the FBI to be part of their hate crime statistics. Will they remove it since the cops saw it was just pollen? Probably not. After all, the “victim” remains “adamant”, and besides, it would be extra work.

The fraudulent statistics are being made in real time here. The “victim” even gave the stats a shout out:

“She added hate crimes are on the rise in the state.”

    Bullsh*t.

  28. I’ve lived in areas where the cars left outside are always covered with yellow pollen during that time of year. If the Mayor has lived in Lamar more than a year, how can she NOT KNOW what it was?

  29. This is the same kind of … achoooo…. same damn …. achooooo! Geeze!… sniff… shit that they …. waaaachooooiey! …. hand me that roll of toilet paper …. shit that they …. uhhh, uhhhhhh … pulled on that Emmett Tchooooo … ill!

I guess Lamar is too small to have a car wash, but how about Darlington? I’ve seen cars turn so yellow-green this time of year that you really can’t tell what color they are supposed to be. Of course, if you’re not a sell-out to whitey, you’d have a bright enough purple, green, or orange car to where the color shines through. Clear-coat, baby!

  30. @Change that Matters

The problem is not that Lamar is 46% black. It’s just that it’s a self-serve car-wash desert.

  31. Hateful trees are producing more hate-pollen because of Global Warming™/Climate Change™/Extreme Weather™ or whatever we are at war with now.

She has lived in the area her whole life, so she is familiar with pollen. She thought it was pollen until her husband convinced her it was paint and a hate crime. 35. In the incident report obtained by Newsweek, her husband asked her, “Where did you go today? The car is covered in paint.”

The report went on to detail how the mayor and her husband streaked a finger over the tarnished parts surfacing the car and “realized it was not paint and that the substance could be removed with a finger; similar to pollen.”

She explained in the interview with Newsweek that there were no words or symbols drawn on the cars. The cars were parked in the street near the end of the couple’s driveway, a block and a half from Lamar’s downtown.

“To me that was the message,” she said.

The mayor is hard-pressed to understand why she was targeted.

“I have a good reputation,” she said. I have never been subjected to something like this.”

Both cars were rigorously cleaned the day after the incident, and therefore a sample of the substance, whatever it was, wasn’t preserved.

The substance wasn’t saved and the cars were actually cleaned—pressure-washed twice—there was no substance, and so they didn’t have it for the investigation,” argued McPherson.

Though the possibility was raised that the car’s mysterious coating could have been pollen and not the result of foul play, McPherson remained convinced someone was behind it.

“It’s something,” she said. “Something that’s sticky that’s stuck to my car and took two different solutions to get it off.”

Kilgo explained that once the mayor was intent that she had been attacked, the local agency referred the matter to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division or SLED.

“Due the suspicion from her of it being a hate crime, we couldn’t say no,” he said.

The report added that the mayor also had “a possible suspect in mind at the time” of the incident.

    Even More White Supremacist Fliers

    https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2019/03/06/analysis-finds-increase-white-supremacist-propaganda-college-campuses

The article is about the Identity Evropa organization.
It turns out that an organization focused on European identity and culture is automatically “white supremacist”, “neo-Nazi”, and of course a “hate group”.
So it’s perfectly reasonable that being a member of an organization focused on European identity and culture should get a person fired, and it’s perfectly reasonable that the police and university administrators should do everything they can to suppress the activities of such an organization.
It’s not OK to be white if you’re proud of being white. Maybe it’s OK to be white if you’re ashamed to be white.
