From the Washington Post:

ICE has detained or deported prominent immigration activists

By Maria Sacchetti and David Weigel January 19 at 8:04 PM

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has detained or deported several prominent immigrant activists across the country, prompting accusations from advocates that the Trump administration is improperly targeting political opponents. …

Montrevil, who was deported to Haiti on Jan. 16, came to the U.S. legally in 1986 and was ordered deported in 1994. He has multiple felony convictions related to drug possession, according to ICE. But in an interview with the radio show Democracy Now, he questioned the timing of his deportation.

“I have been under supervision for 15 years, and I’ve never violated,” Montrevil said. “I have always made my appointment. And I stay out of trouble. I have volunteered, and I work and take care of my kids. I pay taxes every year. I did everything right. Everything they asked me to do, I have done it. So why target me now?”

Another way of looking at it is: why have you spent 24 years in the U.S. since you were ordered deported?

From the leftist Alternet:

Jean Montrevil came to the United States legally with a green card. He and 12 siblings arrived from Haiti in 1986, after his U.S. citizen dad sponsored them. “We came to America to make it big,” Montrevil says. “Along the way, I got stupid.”

He stumbled into the taxi business. A fellow cabbie opened the door to drugs. “I started selling marijuana to passengers. From there, I took off.”

Montrevil didn’t get very far. In 1989, at age 20, he was arrested in New Jersey, driving down I-95. “No one told me it was a corridor,” Montrevil recalls. “Police stopped black guys driving nice cars all the time, looking for people like me.” Just months into selling, he was busted for cocaine.

Out on bail, he made another drug run to Virginia. A federal agent and deputy sheriff found an ounce of crack hidden in his car’s gas tank. Montrevil would’ve gotten five years under mandatory federal sentencing guidelines. But prosecuted in Virginia state court, he got 27 years. Inside, he caught an assault conviction for fighting with another inmate.

“1989 was a rough year,” Montrevil says. “Prison saved my life.” Released early for good behavior, he opened a store selling candles and religious supplies in Brooklyn in 2000. He believes that the 11 years he served kept him from getting killed in the underground drug trade.

Three-time loser Haitian national drug dealers Are Who We Are.

Twelve!!! How many times has this been repeated since 1965? This is crazy and helps explain how the demographic tables have been turned upside down in so short a time.

BTW, for anyone keeping track I believe we are at the point were more non-Europeans have immigrated to America than Europeans. From JFK’s book on immigration written in 1958, he calculated about 42 million immigrants had come since Jamestown Colony in 1607. Obviously most of those were Europeans, but there were still around half a million Chinese and Japanese in his list.

Since 1965 we’ve had anywhere from 50 to 60 million immigrants. The overwhelming majority are non-European and that number grows by at least a million per year. So we have to either be close to or beyond the point where more non-Europeans have come here than Europeans. The only reason there are more Euros currently is that they have been here longer and have more descendants.

I bring this up because one of the arguments I’ve heard in regards to immigration is that it was unfair to non-Europeans because they were excluded. Note, this is said even by those who claim America was made for all and never publicly recite the key paragraph that was the naturalization act of 1790.

Anyway even if one subscribes to this argument, it is now beyond its due date. BTW in regards to chain migration, our European immigrant ancestors of pre-1965 were not allowed this privilege.

While I agree with the general gist of what you are saying (first comment, istevefan), I did not know JFK wrote a book on immigration and am curious about the data. How many slaves from Africa were imported between 1650 and 1807, and what were the populations at the time of the various places conquered by American arms and/ or purchased? Because both of these have to be accounted for to get a complete picture.

Check this out. Immigrants in New York, 9 children, living in filthy public housing. Wife is only 36, still many fertile years ahead. Looks like they are Albanian, Bosnia, whatever. I just see lots of resentful muslims. Numbers, numbers, numbers, numbers.

JFK...he calculated about 42 million immigrants had come since Jamestown Colony in 1607

Among Europeans there were quite a few who went back. From the huge wave between 1880-1920 it was estimated that up to 20% eventually went back. America at that time was seen by many as a place where one can make more money, save, and go back to Europe to buy a farm.

In the post-1965 wave the return percentage is miniscule. The difference between Europe and America in 1880-1920 was not as dramatic as today's difference between America and the Third World. That also accounts for the huge chain migration increase. A large percentage of today's Third World migrants are middle to upper classes in their former countries. They are escaping the social misery back home and no amount of money will convince them to go back. They are coming to stay and plan to bring all family, clan, friends if they can. That's why they are so single-mindedly fanatical about this.

When you rationally analyse the trends and the numbers, US will within two generations become an overcrowded country of 500-700 million people with a Third World demographic profile. Among the 7 billion people in the Third World 3-5% of them are already within two nodes in the migration chain that will allow them to move to US. It is only a question of time. You can slow it down, but the catastrophic decision was made decades ago by the bipartisan elites. I think it is over.

  6. I love the second excerpt. The guy can’t and won’t deny that he was dealing drugs, but the real issue is that police unfairly target black guys driving nice cars in that “corridor” (which nobody told him about!) If only the police stopped patrolling high-crime areas, then black crime rates would go way down.

Apparently, for drug dealers being "fast and loose" was not merely a lifestyle choice, but a driving ambition. The whole point of NJ Troopers on the NJ Turnpike is to stop traffic offenders. Having used it as a drug courier route, it did not occur that others (like the police) would come to the same conclusion.

Montrevil's mitigation is his own stupidity. They really aren't sending their best.

After all, what matters the most is the bureaucracy, the media, the lawyers, and NGOs. Not voters. If voters mattered you would not see fifty year careers in the Senate. We are an oligarchy, and the oligarchs have had enough of Trump, White men, and deplorables.

I will admit that the GOP leadership does seem to be maintaining message discipline, even if Sen. Graham is counter-signaling.

Outside of the Right-wing bubble, the "Europe is doomed" trope is widely seen as a joke. Look at PeterSweden, he's a subject of mockery from all sides, IMO he's just a blond Daniel Pipes without the intellectualism.

Sweden does have a budget surplus, as does Germany and the Netherlands.

There is only so much work our messaging can do when we face the combined wrath of the media/academia complex. I will retain my optimism for when we start hearing about why "jus soli" needs to be abolished.

To end some of the dreamer agrument Trump has to hold to this and force Mexico to go from paying Juan 2.5 per hour at the auto plant to 5 per hour. I will admit that the GOP leadership does seem to be maintaining message discipline, even if Sen. Graham is counter-signaling.

Outside of the Right-wing bubble, the “Europe is doomed” trope is widely seen as a joke. Look at PeterSweden, he’s a subject of mockery from all sides, IMO he’s just a blond Daniel Pipes without the intellectualism.

Sweden does have a budget surplus, as does Germany and the Netherlands.

There is only so much work our messaging can do when we face the combined wrath of the media/academia complex. I will retain my optimism for when we start hearing about why “jus soli” needs to be abolished.

I have several European friends, and they like to make fun of America, but they also say Europe is doomed.

In their cases, I think they see it more clearly than the boiling frogs, because they only go back each summer or every other year or something.

    It is apparently depressing.

Of course, these are Europeans who self-selected not to live in Europe.

Jean Montrevil came to the United States legally with a green card. He and 12 siblings arrived from Haiti in 1986, after his U.S. citizen dad sponsored them.

Twelve!!! How many times has this been repeated since 1965? This is crazy and helps explain how the demographic tables have been turned upside down in so short a time.

BTW, for anyone keeping track I believe we are at the point were more non-Europeans have immigrated to America than Europeans. From JFK's book on immigration written in 1958, he calculated about 42 million immigrants had come since Jamestown Colony in 1607. Obviously most of those were Europeans, but there were still around half a million Chinese and Japanese in his list.

Since 1965 we've had anywhere from 50 to 60 million immigrants. The overwhelming majority are non-European and that number grows by at least a million per year. So we have to either be close to or beyond the point where more non-Europeans have come here than Europeans. The only reason there are more Euros currently is that they have been here longer and have more descendants.

I bring this up because one of the arguments I've heard in regards to immigration is that it was unfair to non-Europeans because they were excluded.

Check this out. Immigrants in New York, 9 children, living in filthy public housing. Wife is only 36, still many fertile years ahead. Looks like they are Albanian, Bosnia, whatever. I just see lots of resentful muslims. Numbers, numbers, numbers, numbers.

Perhaps the metro areas of Western Europe are "doomed", but the rest of Europe still has a better chance of "survival" than most of our Southern states.

The EU sanctions on Russia must be unanimously renewed by every member state. It only takes one country to crack the ice. Escaping the sanctions could mean a Russian TFR headed towards Israeli levels, and a torrent of funding to RT. Perhaps Italy will deliver this spring, if there is a deal between M5S and Lega.

I “stumbled” into the NYC taxi business at the same time as this dude. Never felt the compulsion to sell drugs to passengers. In fact, reading this, the thought never entered my head before today.

What does the writer mean by “stumbled”? Is this a euphemistic turn of phrase implying he was unjustly denied his right “to make it big”, and had to take up cab driving because of the racist “man”?

The Metro areas of Europe are the only ones that matter. They hold the vast majority of the population, determine policy, and are where all the wealth is concentrated. Indeed with most European nations being 25-35% Muslim, in real not fake news terms, and 50% or more Muslim in terms of men under 30, yes Europe is already a Muslim possession. No one should deny it.

Any more than America is not 50% non-White already, as more than 50% of babies born in the US are non-White.

Best bet, start converting now to either Islam as a master or Judaism as a refugee to Israel, or start learning Spanish and figure on riding out things in whatever lesser s-hole is left in South America -- Uruguay or Argentina. “The whole family agreed she would be better off leaving, that she should come here because she would be safe in America,” said Morales, 30, a carpenter with temporary legal status.

So the sister just came at the behest of the rest of the family (because her neighborhood in Guatemala was violent ... so move to another neighborhood!), who appear to also be illegal with those Obama-era temporary work permits.

The Swedes are in for a rude awakening in 15 years when the crop of young foreign men currently in primary school grows up. I hear sex ratios of 155 to 100, and white males are not the majority of the young uns.

Hungary, Poland (etc) look to hold out. Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Southern Brazil will actually look less like crapholes in the years ahead in comparison to Paris, Malmo, Barcelona, etc. I'd even take Medellin, which has cleaned up remarkably. Or Russia. The Chechens, Dagestanis and Uzbeks are nowhere near as bad as the rapacious afghans, pakis and arabs that Western Europe is getting.

Yes, but this shutdown is over illegals. Many young people have drunk the Kool Aid about illegal Haitian drug dealers being Who We Are, but others have taken the red pill when they see who is coming in. They see that in Europe too, maybe more than the subsidized welfare state.

Trump's ad setting up Dem complicity in the next illegal alien murder is good because that is the side Schumer is fighting for now and Trump will hold him to it.

Why some African Americans are moving to Africa

… A new wave of African Americans is escaping the incessant racism and prejudice in the United States. From Senegal and Ghana to The Gambia, communities are emerging in defiance of conventional wisdom that Africa is a continent everyone is trying to leave.

… “Howard prepares you for a world where black people are in charge, which is a completely different experience compared to people who have gone to predominantly white universities.”

… “When Ghanaians find out that I live here, they’re usually confused about why I chose to live here as an American. There is definitely certain access and privilege being American here, but it’s great to finally cash in on that because it doesn’t mean anything in America.”

I dunno, I think this is a winner for Dems. And yes, Nice White Ladies reading the article are probably rage-filled at the icky beta White males oppressing poor Haitian Drug dealers. After all, its never OK to be White. Noe ever.

After all, what matters the most is the bureaucracy, the media, the lawyers, and NGOs. Not voters. If voters mattered you would not see fifty year careers in the Senate. We are an oligarchy, and the oligarchs have had enough of Trump, White men, and deplorables.

The only votes that matter are the nine Supreme Court Judges voting to remove Trump and install Hillary or whoever Chucky Schemer has planned to take office.

Whiskey, as this blog’s anti-prophet, I’m glad you’re making pronouncements on how this is a ‘winner’, which tells me its a car crash for the Dems.

Minnesota might tip to Red State in next election – a few more Somalian attrocities should do the trick

Western Europe, yes. The schools are where the action is, as the majority of the white population is over 35. Hard to breed or fight when you are changing your incontinence briefs every 4 hours.

As Renaud Camus says in this inspiring speech : “What is possible in one direction should also be possible in the other”.

  54. There are many such stories most involving illegal aliens. They arrived and then as youths or young adult were involved in significant illegal activity and then started to fight removal. At some point the courts order deportation and then a pro illegal alien administration (notably Obama) grants a deferral of removal. One this week in Detroit saw a 39 year old illegal alien removed (he too had a drug conviction and ran a landscaping business alleged to hire unauthorized workers). A sane immigration policy removes immigration violators rapidly. -it is fairer.

  56. @Mr. Anon

They were profiling. They were looking for drug-dealers like me.

Apparently, for drug dealers being “fast and loose” was not merely a lifestyle choice, but a driving ambition. The whole point of NJ Troopers on the NJ Turnpike is to stop traffic offenders. Having used it as a drug courier route, it did not occur that others (like the police) would come to the same conclusion.

Montrevil’s mitigation is his own stupidity. They really aren’t sending their best.

IOW, at some point staying in the USA becomes an acquired right that can be ordered by the court due to inaction on the part of the government.

Adverse possession of U.S. citizenship or at least legal residency. Is that a thing?

I would have thought that the increased rates of rape and grenade attacks would be an awakening. And by the way, why does Sweden get to be the only immigrant accepting country to enjoy GRENADE attacks? It seems insane enough, but is it really isolated there?

Unless the kids came over on tourist visas or were even smuggled in and weren’t legally sponsored at all.

JFK…he calculated about 42 million immigrants had come since Jamestown Colony in 1607

The difference between Europe and America in 1880-1920 was not as dramatic as today’s difference between America and the Third World. That also accounts for the huge chain migration increase. A large percentage of today’s Third World migrants are middle to upper classes in their former countries. They are escaping the social misery back home and no amount of money will convince them to go back. They are coming to stay and plan to bring all family, clan, friends if they can. That’s why they are so single-mindedly fanatical about this.

The crucial tipping point *must* come when there is enough of a minority electorate to ensure permanent Democrat Party rule.

That point, really, cannot be too far away. Considering that the majority of current US births are non-white, tipping point cannot be more than a generation (25 years) away.

There is no future and no hope for White men in Europe, North America, Australia, or New Zealand (led by a pro-immigrant, naturally, pregnant White woman). [Women are the most pro immigrant group as they are naturally Social Darwinists by their very nature.]

Odds on PeterSweden converting to Islam or Orthodox Judaism as Whiskey recommends???

  67. Jean Montrevil came to the United States legally with a green card. He and 12 siblings arrived from Haiti in 1986, after his U.S. citizen dad sponsored them.

Fun fact: the Child Citizenship Act of 2000 would have automatically given US citizenship to Jean Montrevil if he were just a few years younger. See 8 USC 1431. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1431

The CCA was sold to the public as “cutting red tape for American parents adopting babies from overseas”. In reality it handed out citizenship like candy to a bunch of random bastards and stepchildren who’d been left behind in the old country while dad abandoned them to immigrate to America.

Instead of making the kids go through the usual niceties of the naturalization process like living here for five years, learning English, and demonstrating attachment to the good order of the country, they got citizenship automatically by virtue of living in the US for one day with their “American” dad, even if dad himself only got his American citizenship that year. The Magic Dirt and the fiat of Congress instantly transformed them into Good Americans. Isn’t legal immigration so heartwarming?

In simpler terms: for every Jean Montrevil they’re trying to deport, there’s plenty more younger and wilder versions of him who are undeportable because a Republican Congress and Clinton conspired to make them into “citizens” automatically.

Apparently, around 40 million Europeans in total emigrated to the USA from the 1600s to present.
Today, we have 200 million white American descendants of them. A multiplier of five for 400 years. Modest, as these things go, a rate of less than 1% per annum.
400,000 imported black African slaves multiplied to give around 50 million present-day African-Americans. A multiplier of at least 12 times.
Whatever slavery or ‘discrimination’ did to blacks,it did not deplete their vitality and fecundity.

Indeed. Apparently, finding all those “Dreamers” who will be the next Hidden Figures to decode the wormhole for the Mars colonization - or make Tesla profitable, (the former being more probable) are as elusive as all the great white preppy serial rapists filling every quad on every campus. So we get broken glass and dirty mattress stories of dreamers.

Maybe in 30-40 years, long after the Current Year has been retconned into official State History, holloywood 3.0 will be making 3D holographic child porn movies about how these dreamers finally rid the whitemale scourge from the idea of America in time for darth Bezos to win the Bitcoin wars before passing peacefully in his sleep from a creatine-HGH-T stack overdose.

Or maybe the scratch and dent angle is more ‘authentic’ to the virtue-signaling leftoids who buy into the dream even more then the actual dreamers who are just quietly bleeding the coffers and breeding the ballot boxes into making our brave new world come true.

Its not over with until the fat lady sings. Trump is bring up the issue that third world governments lower their wages to attract more foreign companies. For example, the Mexican government is making it harder for indpt unions there and keep wages even lower. Trump and the AFL-CIO called them out on this. To end some of the dreamer agrument Trump has to hold to this and force Mexico to go from paying Juan 2.5 per hour at the auto plant to 5 per hour. If Juan has more money he is able to shop at the Mexican version of Walmart and more retail workers are also hired at a higher price. The left’s agrument against stagnant wages in Mexico, Central America, Haiti, Vietnam is over.
