White Conqui scum like Del Toro’s white ancestors invaded, raped, genocided, and exploited the brown natives of Mexico and other ‘Latin american’ nations. Even now, poverty and corruption are endemic in nations still ruled by white Conqui elites.

So, the conditions drive the brown natives to seek better life in the US cuz gringos run things better and treat them like human beings. (Even illegals are treated better in the US than they would be in their home nations.) But scum like Del Toro point their fingers at gringo.

Latins have no character. They are almost as bad as the Greeks.

What happens is that eventually police resources get diverted to solving murders related to beefs over sneakers or drug turf and quality of life crimes increase. As the quality of life crimes increase, the zone where the shootouts occur expands, as does the locus of other serious crimes (rapes, burglaries and robberies).

I'm going to expect some heavy duty race rioting as well - consider what arose under Obama and Holder/Lynch and imagine that on steroids.

White people tend not to remain in the proximity of large numbers of blacks rioting on a semi-regular basis.

Except that when the lefties get back in power, they'll use the black and brown homicide rate as a pretext to disarm whites.
  4. This new “rule of law” byline reminds of the following posts.

As a result, the function of conservatism in society is to preserve and protect liberalism from its own excesses. Conservatives are the abused enablers of progressives and always will be, mopping up the vomit and excrement after the drunken binges to make sure that they can continue.

The only way to put an end to the self abuse is to fully realize and accept the truth: that liberalism and leftism just are the same thing. The conservative disposition, with its built-in tendency to accept things as they are and not think them through to the point of critical insanity, screams against this.

  5. Come on, Steve, you can’t expect African-Americans to overcome the legacy of violence and oppression bestowed upon them by the pale European man in just a few generations. It will take at least a couple hundred more years of gentle understanding and at least 10-20 trillion more in financial assistance. What if YOUR ancestors had been brought to the New World (so-called; actually, many beautiful, peaceful people already resided here at the time of your arrival) in chains? How would YOU do on those math tests? Wouldn’t you be angry at the degradations foisted upon your ancestors?

  6. I am hoping this trend is reversed in the near future – I want the repopulation of the urban centers along with the increase in property values to continue. Trump will get no credit for it, but he’ll be doing more to preserve the way of life upwardly mobile urban whites have carved out for themselves than Obama, as well as helping urban black home owners retain whatever value they have managed to accumulate rather than being totally destroyed, a la Ferguson.

    Amen to that.

I know an African-American colleague who had to move from the city to the suburbs to get away from the crime, of which he was a personal victim. He was fed up with the "n*gg**rs*" (his choice of words) and worried about the safety of his daughter.

Wealthy people in cities spend all their money on eating out as much as possible. Wealthy people in the suburbs spend their money on raising their children as best they can. It's debatable which life strategy leads to the most happiness for the people who undertake it but there's not much room for debate over which is better for society.

    >the way of life that upwardly mobile urban whites have carved out for themselves than Obama

The way of life that is ideologically centered around hating people like me? Fuck these people. Let them suffer. Trump needs to help rural and exurban and suburban people, and preferably in that order.

Secondary point, I would dispute that urban liberal high income whites are "upwardly mobile". The urban whites arent a smart fraction of poorer whites coming to the cities for better opportunities and "moving up". Nearly all of the young professional people I knew living the urban white life in were similar to myself, the children of rich parents from that city's suburbs. Many were subsidized in various ways by same. It's not really upward mobility to achieve a comparable quality of life to your parents at a much greater cost and with less security. I'd say they are just less downwardly mobile thn most people.

    , @Alec Leamas
I'm going the other way, since I was a kid in Philadelphia in the 70s-80s and into the 90s and remember the urban crime wave, Section 8 abuse and white flight. I'm buying land and getting into residential development and construction. Those suburban born and bred kids LARPing big city life will eventually run home to the bucolic joys of backyards, aggressive cops, the television Showman District Attorneys, and sky high property and school taxes (which serve their exclusive purpose) when enough pretty young white girls get found dead in dumpsters.

I'm betting on the worm turning, since the genie is already out of the bottle.

I have come to think of this as Trump's "almost true" strategy. If you give a true hate stat the media clowns just yell racist and don't actually publish the stat. If it's almost true though, some attempt to rebut it. To do so they have to publish it (win 1, due to anchoring) and often the rebuttal gives a clue that there really is a problem (win 2). For an example of win 2 think something like (exaggerated): "this wasn't the fastest rise, 1991 was worse." Or for a real example, see Trump's partially wrong racial crime stats during the election. Early on some media published all of them and pointed out "and this one is wrong" leading to the obvious question "what about the others?" Of course since then the media actually learned and now only publishes the incorrect stat.

  9. Republicans fear for their safety as Obamacare protests grow

At a closed-door meeting, House lawmakers discuss strategies to counter [i.e. surrender to] potential violence.

    http://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/republicans-obamacare-protests-safety-234733

House Republicans during a closed-door meeting Tuesday discussed how to protect themselves and their staffs from protesters storming town halls and offices in opposition to repealing Obamacare, sources in the room told Politico.

House GOP Conference Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers invited Rep. David Reichert, a former county sheriff, to present lawmakers with protective measures they should have in place. Among the suggestions: having a physical exit strategy at town halls, or a backdoor in congressional offices to slip out of, in case demonstrations turn violent; having local police monitor town halls; replacing any glass office-door entrances with heavy doors and deadbolts; and setting up intercoms to ensure those entering congressional offices are there for appointments, not to cause chaos.

“The message was: One, be careful for security purposes. Watch your back. And two, be receptive. Honor the First Amendment, engage, be friendly, be nice,” said Republican Study Committee Chairman

Not very good trolling, given the graph at the top of the page.

Here's a longer term view. Homicide rates in the US don't correlate well with political party, or prosperity either. The murder rate dropped like a rock during the Depression and shot up during the prosperous 60s.

  13. The Buffalo News published a story this weekend about a 10 year old Buffalo boy who was blinded by a shot to the head last year. His sixteen year old brother has since been shot and killed. His mother shares no last name with any of her three sons, who all have different last names. There is a cultural dysfunctionality in a certain community that defies all attempts to help it. There are no studies that show this, but I think in some cities and certain neighborhoods, the out of wedlock child birth rate approaches 100%. Sad for these two brothers but I blame their mother and every mother like her.

" There are no studies that show this, but I think in some cities and certain neighborhoods, the out of wedlock child birth rate approaches 100%. Sad for these two brothers but I blame their mother and every mother like her."

    Blame and Causation.

Blame assumes free will and an ability to make choices.
Skinner rejected free will as an un-testable construct that had no place in science. He would have tried to change the contingencies in the mother's environment to control her behavior (e.g., not paying her to have children out of wedlock).
My church, Anglican, believes in predestination but holds that we have free will (g-d is great)!!
This belief seems useful if inconsistent. People "behave better" when they are held accountable for their actions.

Causation has been abandoned by some.
Those who still use the concept look at multiple factors in determining events.
They would try to determine how much of the mothers behavior was due to genetic predisposition/limitations, how much is due to systems created in the last century that encouraged promiscuity, violence and other forms of self indulgence.

Based on the rambling above some people would argue that any solution to the problem of black/brown/lower class dysfunction must be complex.
Actually it is likely to be very simple.

I don't have the stats by neighborhood, but the overall black illegitimacy rate is around 75%. If we assume that in the best black neighborhoods, the rate is "only" 50% (twice the white Anglo rate) then the worst areas would have to be 100% to balance out.

It’s hard to tell what can be done about the black homicide rate. It’s just a fact that they’re intrinsically more prone to violence than other groups. The bottom third would be considered mentally retarded by white standards. That’s not helped by the dysfunctional breeding pattern of women who are graduates of special ed and on welfare having children by men who go back and forth to prison. A heavy hand quells their misbehavior whether in the schools or on the sidewalks. However, other groups don’t need or want a heavy presence of law enforcement. It might not be possible to have two systems working at the same time, one for them and one for us. People have gotten shot within a block of police stations or at anti-violence rallies so there’s a level of craziness to all of it. A high level of black insanity is par for the course so the real job is how to seal it off and prevent the spillover.

  17. @AndrewR
As long as they keep it among themselves, I don't really care. Most of the victims live by the sword anyway.

Totally agree–except considerable medical bills for the survivors are borne by taxpayers.

    • Replies: @Jack D
One of the reasons that the homicide rate has gone down is that, thanks to the experience gained in our recent foreign adventures, hospitals are a lot better at saving people who have been wounded by gunshot wounds. However, it's not an uncommon sight in the ghetto to see young men in wheelchairs because they have been shot in the spine and are permanently paralyzed. Also, there have been cases where black families insist that their comatose loved ones be kept (at tremendous taxpayer expense) on ventilators for years on end while they prayed for them to wake up.
  18. The crime rate doesn’t look that bad for non-blacks. Aren’t liberals supposed to be the ones always worried about whether this or that policy “disproportionately harms minorities”? If blacks were a nation, their murder rate would be among the top 5 in the world. Yet they tell us that crime is no big deal and Trump is racist for worrying about it because overall the murder rate is not what it was 20 years ago.

  19. another interesting troubling data set concerning homicides.

The average homicide clearance rate in the 1960s was close to 90 percent; by 2010 it was 65%. It has fallen further since. Since 2011 just 62% of killers are convicted for their crimes.

strange that with the technology available to the police, such as DNA, more surveillance, more police officers, etc…yet it seems that less of the killers are being caught and prosecuted than in the past.

That assumes a fact not in evidence (because, in fact, it does not exist): a socio-economic-status (SES) distribution that approximates the normal curve, with roughly equal tails. There are a lot more "worst [black] areas" (left-hand tail) than there are "best black neighborhoods" (right-hand tail) in America. The noir bourgeoisie must be doing a lot better than that, to balance off the ones for whom marriage has become a lost art!?!
    , @Buffalo Joe
Jack, I need some math help here. If you have one child out of wedlock, then in your case, 100% of your children are illegitimate, but if you have three kids, by three different fathers isn't the rate really 300% ? Nah, probably not, but multiple kids by multiple fathers has to skew the numbers.

One of the reasons that the homicide rate has gone down is that, thanks to the experience gained in our recent foreign adventures, hospitals are a lot better at saving people who have been wounded by gunshot wounds. However, it’s not an uncommon sight in the ghetto to see young men in wheelchairs because they have been shot in the spine and are permanently paralyzed. Also, there have been cases where black families insist that their comatose loved ones be kept (at tremendous taxpayer expense) on ventilators for years on end while they prayed for them to wake up.

My girlfriend's first nursing job after college was on the spinal cord injury floor at the old Boston City Hospital back in the late 80s. Her patients were kids shot during the neighborhood crack wars. She said her heart went out to them...until they opened their mouths. Then she wanted to give them a placebo instead of the pain meds.

Thank goodness that an anonymous journalist writing for an arch-Globalist magazine was quickly able to debunk Heather Mac Donald, a Stanford-educated attorney who literally “wrote the book” on this subject! Now we know that our ruling class was right, all along: the problem is simply the guns– not the gunsels. The matching graph– on perpetrators, by race– was only left out in order to reduce catastrophic anthropogenic global warming (a.k.a., “climate change”). Just a swell, pro-social effort, all the way around, by a magazine that always has the best interests of the “forgotten man” at heart!

in some cities and certain neighborhoods, the out of wedlock child birth rate approaches 100%.

I don't have the stats by neighborhood, but the overall black illegitimacy rate is around 75%. If we assume that in the best black neighborhoods, the rate is "only" 50% (twice the white Anglo rate) then the worst areas would have to be 100% to balance out.

That assumes a fact not in evidence (because, in fact, it does not exist): a socio-economic-status (SES) distribution that approximates the normal curve, with roughly equal tails. There are a lot more “worst [black] areas” (left-hand tail) than there are “best black neighborhoods” (right-hand tail) in America. The noir bourgeoisie must be doing a lot better than that, to balance off the ones for whom marriage has become a lost art!?!

We may be seeing the emergence of big-city mayors who have decided blacks are too expensive to police anymore. Nearly all the big cities have large financial holes in their budgets, and if you catch blacks committing crime, you have to pay to take them to trial. Hostile black jurors keep doing catch and release with their own kind, and their nullification means the money is wasted taking blacks to court at all. Even if a jury manages to convict blacks, it costs a lot of money to incarcerate them. If your cops hassle or injure them, they may sue your city in an attempt to win the ghetto lottery, and you can’t afford to keep losing these lawsuits (tried before yet another big city set of black jurors who secretly want their brothas and sistas to get rich) if have to meet your pension obligations, etc.

In 2005 , Whitaker gained access to a woman's apartment that he knew by claiming to need to use her bathroom. Whitaker strangled her into unconsciousness, raped her and then stabbed her in the neck twice. He took a plead deal and was sentenced to FOUR YEARS IN PRISON! I am hoping this trend is reversed in the near future - I want the repopulation of the urban centers along with the increase in property values to continue. Trump will get no credit for it, but he'll be doing more to preserve the way of life upwardly mobile urban whites have carved out for themselves than Obama, as well as helping urban black home owners retain whatever value they have managed to accumulate rather than being totally destroyed, a la Ferguson.

I’m going the other way, since I was a kid in Philadelphia in the 70s-80s and into the 90s and remember the urban crime wave, Section 8 abuse and white flight. I’m buying land and getting into residential development and construction.

I’m betting on the worm turning, since the genie is already out of the bottle.

As long as they keep it among themselves, I don’t really care. Most of the victims live by the sword anyway.

What happens is that eventually police resources get diverted to solving murders related to beefs over sneakers or drug turf and quality of life crimes increase. As the quality of life crimes increase, the zone where the shootouts occur expands, as does the locus of other serious crimes (rapes, burglaries and robberies).

I’m going to expect some heavy duty race rioting as well – consider what arose under Obama and Holder/Lynch and imagine that on steroids.

White people tend not to remain in the proximity of large numbers of blacks rioting on a semi-regular basis.

  48. The 80s increase in black murder rates had a chemical explanation – the crack cocaine epidemic. The increase that happened on Obama’s watch was purely political. I suspect it may have not a little to do with the full-scale replacement of blacks in the job market by immigrants, as well.

Jack, I need some math help here. If you have one child out of wedlock, then in your case, 100% of your children are illegitimate, but if you have three kids, by three different fathers isn’t the rate really 300% ? Nah, probably not, but multiple kids by multiple fathers has to skew the numbers.

Wealthy people in cities spend all their money on eating out as much as possible. Wealthy people in the suburbs spend their money on raising their children as best they can. It's debatable which life strategy leads to the most happiness for the people who undertake it but there's not much room for debate over which is better for society.

another interesting troubling data set concerning homicides.

strange that with the technology available to the police, such as DNA, more surveillance, more police officers, etc...yet it seems that less of the killers are being caught and prosecuted than in the past.

    That is perplexing

I love how at the end of the thread the host (who's to his damning-with-faint-praise credit quite reasonable and intellectually-honest by liberal standards) announces that in future threads he'll only allow comments about "how to stop" Trump.

The reasonable and intellectually honest ones are the worst. Aaronson is like Scott Alexander, I think: sure, all the factual claims that underpin liberalism are false and, sure, democracy usually doesn’t work at all and never seems to work that well and, sure, the Left does seem to be a tad deranged now you mention it, and, sure, I guess the concept of marginal utility might apply to immigration, but ….. JEWISH! HOLOCAUST!

All told, I was bit disappointed with the Boldmug stuff. It was like a greatest hits collection; he hit all the right notes, but there was nothing new. Still, I read the whole thing.

Can't agree. Here in Massachusetts even so much as a reasonable and intellectually-honest liberal is a rare luxury to be savored.

He clearly induced some serious cognitive dissonance. If MM had shown up in Aaronson's comment section prior to Inauguration Day he might've been able to score a convert or a few.

A little while ago some random clicking brought me to SJW/antifa corners of Tumblr; they've determined that Scott Alexander is a Nazi, deserving of punching. I do have to say there's a certain voyeuristic thrill in watching the contradictions be heightened.

Kick the crack a few years, you'll still never touch that first high. But at least you're high.

Agreed that it was disappointing he didn't really have anything "new" to say besides commentary on current events. We did get his most convincingly-argued defense of the Confederacy, although that's not something I'm particularly exercised about.

Still, even if we've heard everything before, I love his unique debating style of attacking his opponent's strongest points and defending his weakest, rather than the opposite. And hopefully this means UR will get resurrected in some form.

So Trump's statement about murder at its fastest rise is not so wrong. Tell that to Jake Tapper of Fake News Network!

Didn't Girls try to normalize rimming or something? I can still remember my liberal pro-gay upbringing collapsing like a house of cards when I was taught about that in sex education.

If what you say is true (I don't have TV), it reminds me of this.

My fervent hope and prayer is that the only way to really stop Trump is the Zen approach of not trying to stop him (i.e. to focus instead on the long overdue task of getting their shit together). Pretty sure that’s a fool’s hope, but I’m going with it. YOLO.

Meh. I don't think there's any male human alive without a sexual predilection someone's disgusted by. Pussygate was all the Nice White Ladies being disgusted at the way straight guys talk about sex behind their backs. As are most other feminist outrages.

And as your example demonstrates, I don't think there's anything gays do that straights don't do also. In college I was in the audience for a heterosexual, er, performance involving several live goldfish. (I was very high and didn't know what my artsy friend was getting me into).

Anyway, nobody was hurt except for the goldfish. The female participant, who did all the goldfish-related acts you're imagining and more, is doubtlessly disgusted by the way Donald Trump and Billy Bush talk about pussy.

Be nice to the gays. As Jesus said: as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Actually if my ER/trauma unit experience was any guide it was the other way around.

I've met a good number of medic veterans who credit "inner city" trauma center experience with preparing to save lives on the battlefield. "The war at home" produces more opportunities to learn by doing than today's military.

Even the MSM covered this at length in the Aughts:

    LA:
    http://articles.latimes.com/2003/mar/07/local/me-navy7

    Baltimore:
    http://thechart.blogs.cnn.com/2011/07/15/u-s-er-work-prepares-military-docs-for-battlefield-injuries/

Some of that did in fact get carried back to the field:

    London:
    http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/doctors-to-be-taught-battlefield-surgery-in-inner-city-hospitals-as-gun-crime-rises-179230.html

I’ve read a bunch of books by Navy SEALs recently and in one of them the guy was training to be a medic with his team and did some of his training at an urban hospital. Probably goes both ways.

    Amen to that.

I know an African-American colleague who had to move from the city to the suburbs to get away from the crime, of which he was a personal victim. He was fed up with the "n*gg**rs*" (his choice of words) and worried about the safety of his daughter.

My girlfriend’s first nursing job after college was on the spinal cord injury floor at the old Boston City Hospital back in the late 80s. Her patients were kids shot during the neighborhood crack wars. She said her heart went out to them…until they opened their mouths. Then she wanted to give them a placebo instead of the pain meds.
