From New24:

Tanzanian president seeks end to contraception

2018-09-10 18:30

President John Magufuli has urged Tanzanian women to “give up contraceptive methods” insisting his country needs more people, local media reported on Monday.

“You have cattle. You are big farmers. You can feed your children. Why then resort to birth control? This is my opinion, I see no reason to control births in Tanzania,” Magufuli said in a speech on Sunday, according to The Citizen daily newspaper.

“I have travelled to Europe and elsewhere and have seen the harmful effects of birth control. Some countries are now facing declining population growth. They are short of manpower.”

Magufuli urged Tanzanians to ignore bad advice disseminated by outsiders saying: “It is important to reproduce.”

“Women can now give up contraceptive methods,” he added.

Tanzania has a population of around 60 million people, up from 10 million at independence in 1961.

Tanzania is the green line below. The U.N. forecasted in 2017 that its population in 2100 will exceed 300 million.

Financial aid to Africa is a make work program for the children of western elites. How about not lighting African nations on fire and chasing all their talent, and every other African, to the 'west'.

Love'r or hate'r Ilhan Omar is some kind of political genius, and she is here not there. She has accomplished what founding stock blacks could not in 200+ years in a decade. Who is it 'The West' installed as ruler of Somalia that can't handle a youth gang?

Ilhan Omar could become first Somali-American in Congress after primary win

    I'm amazed.
    , @RadicalCenter
We are doing the same by paying african-“Americans” to breed.
    , @Andy
That's not enough, in my opinion, if Africans decline to do birth control, then there should be an international military blockade around the continent to avoid the rest of the world having to receive it's excess population.
    , @Joe Seater
You believe too much in propaganda, 'white' countries do not do anything for Africa but steal them.

The Chinese don't have the same desire to both work and improve the locals that Western colonizers have had. They often bring in a lot of their own labor for projects. One reason, of course, is that with technology there is simply less and less need for unskilled grunt labor, and the Chinese workers are just way more productive.

A few generations down the road--after the West has been destroyed by "our" "elites"--I suspect China will have genomically targeted bioweapons and they'll deal with the Africans that way. No need to deal with them to extract the necessary African resources.

In any case, it's hard to see an "African" future for the world, because any other group that gets itself organized can outthink and outwork them.

But who knows? The future is an undiscovered country.

China, and soon India, need the mineral resources of Africa. They will provide the expertise and capital to mechanize agriculture. A future energy source might make the Green Sahara possible. Chinese capital will also construct the transport links the British Empire was unable to finish.

While the progress of technology reduces the need for human labor in agriculture and manufacturing, it hasn't had the same impact in terms of services. Lots of rich people still want household servants, the taboo against them is falling in the West, and never disappeared in the rest of the world.

With social turmoil soon reaching a boiling point in the West, we’ll see just how well a country with an average IQ of 72 can do for itself. The Rainbow Nation essentially can’t keep the water running in Cape Town, and they have an average IQ of 77.

True, outsiders won't stop intervening in Africa, but in the case of countries like China or India, it will be for their own benefit, not Africa's. The new imperialists will extract what they need. Whether Africans profit from their presence will be irrelevant to them. And I can't see any possible foreign colonisation scenario that would result in Africa's being able to support its exploding population.

Can’t say he made the wrong observations or reached the wrong conclusions, at least regarding to Europe’s situation. Of course, Tanzania has a very different situation from Europe, in that it is under no threat of losing population for the next 50 years absent a total war, which overpopulation makes more likely to happen – so his advice is not the best for his country now, if it were to be followed.

On a side note, what a great thing a stay in the developed West does for third world leaders, isn’t it? They either learn Marxist stuff (and harm their own people) or learn common sense that doesn’t yet apply to their countries (and still harm their own people).

No, he has made the right conclusion. If Tanzania cuts back its population growth, but its neighbors don't, when the food runs out they will have more people and will conquer Tanzania.

It is a prisoner's dilemma; the Nash Equilibrium is uncontrolled population growth and mass starvation. Just like it has been for the rest of human history.

I do not think he has the same view of his country's climate that we do. And how do Africans perceive the months of low light levels and cold? I think his animal cunning has hit upon two truths - that the Euros accept claims on their resources from the needy and that he can expand his people and territory at their expense.

Perhaps the White birthrate in the Netherlands increased due to Eastern European immigrants boosting it, The same phenomenon is here in the UK where the White share of births was if memory serves me right 69% in 2008 and increased to 76% in 2014, it's been around that figure since. European immigrant Tfr is much higher in the UK than in their home nations ( Polish tfr in the UK is 2.1 ) . Cheers
    , @ThirdWorldSteveReader
The white surge in Brazil at year 2000 is likely not a surge, but a return to the usual classification; the proportions of white/black/brown are similar at 1980 and 2000. Rather, it seems that the census of 1991 is the different one, with more people declaring themselves brown instead of white or black.

The increase in both blacks and browns in 2010 is possibly an issue of reclassifcation as Affirmative Action took roots in the country.

I stumbled into this YouTube video where Robin Williams on the Tonight Show in 1991 does a bit on the then happening Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings (from 01:25). They talk about Bork (for whom Williams used his Burl Ives voice) from 03:05 in explanation of why Thomas was so mum.

He does a slightly racist pro-choice bit: To a pro-life supporter: “Here’s your very own crack baby.” Carson then goes: “Take care of this one for forty years!” (from 02:40).

I did a double take when Guantanamo came up. Has is been that long? Apparently it was just a random thing that Williams said, so the place must have been known somewhat pre-9/11, although I don’t remember ever having heard of it.

Jonathan Winters shows up later in a full-blown Civil War uniform, not sure which side, and promptly makes an injun joke.

Poorly informed people who comment on Africa’s ability to feed itself should spend more time watching the news. It turns out that virile men and fertile women can always find a way to have more children, and there are tired old European races that eagerly import millions of these vital 10 children per couple people.

It was once believed that individual countries could just decide to have a smaller population. It might work for racially homogeneous Japan, but not here. Or in Canada, which has its Century Initiative. The USA could easily support a billion people, and there’s no reason that this won’t happen. Didn’t I just read that the Republicans want to skip the fight over the Wall, in favor of some sort of tax package to benefit their donors?

The West has two choices. Expend vast resources and political will to build massive walls and legal barriers and ICE removal strategies, or be overwhelmed. If we do nothing, America will have 500 million Africans here by 2100 AD. It will be like watching a tsunami come in, that never stops or recedes.

Too bad Neal never mentioned immigration as one of those destroyers of historical inequities.

When it gets down to it — talking trade balances here — once we've brain-drained all our technology into other countries, once things have evened out, they're making cars in Bolivia and microwave ovens in Tadzhikistan and selling them here — once our edge in natural resources has been made irrelevant by giant Hong Kong ships and dirigibles that can ship North Dakota all the way to New Zealand for a nickel — once the Invisible Hand has taken away all those historical inequities and smeared them out into a broad global layer of what a Pakistani brickmaker would consider to be prosperity — y'know what? There's only four things we do better than anyone else:
    music
    movies
    microcode (software)
    high-speed pizza delivery

Here's a question - why does everyone assume that protecting the borders will be expensive and difficult? Barriers, manning them and internal enforcement. It is basically policing. It cannot be as expensive as invading the world.

Even in European countries that have low unemployment (Germany, Sweden etc.) most people from African and Arab countries are either employed in low level service jobs (dishwasher) or are unemployed (often with income from crimes augmenting their welfare income). Germany has reached the point, where about a third of its unemployment benefits go to people without German citizenship, even though the left has made it really easy to acquire citizenship. Of the 'refugees' Merkel has let in, only about 20% have some kind of work. (oddly enough most msm outlets say that it is a huge success, that 20% have some kind of work.)

I will look at google maps next time before posting. When I posted 1000 miles from Tanzania to Europe I figured at worst it must be 200o miles. So Tanzania's head honcho wants to supply Europe with fresh African bodies from 400o miles away. Kind of amazing.
I see how major black bodies supplier Nigeria is much closer...as in about 2200 miles to Sicily.

The day of Malthusian reckoning is coming for Africa. It's just a matter of how long white countries can defer it by sending aid and taking in Africa's population overflow. I wonder has anyone ever done a calculation of how many people the continent could support without external assistance, taking into account the true quality of its human capital.

At the moment, hundreds of students from U.S. universities dot the globe knee-deep in development projects. I am in Accra, Ghana, on a research project, and this city is awash with interns from Princeton, Harvard, and the like determined to transform the world. The stints come with good perks: dining and drinking with Accra’s high society, living in posh upscale neighborhoods, and for the really lucky ones, being chauffeured around the city in diplomatic vehicles.

In no way do I disapprove of development aid; occasionally, when the stars align, some occasional good does come out of development aid. But I think we should concede that it is often a perpetually dysfunctional system — perpetual because of the interests such a system serves for privileged and (sometimes) greedy joyriders. Development aid provides the wealthy with a philanthropic avenue, helps global powers keep a tight leash on third-world governmental regimes, and employs elite college graduates and allows them luxurious lifestyles in exotic cities. On weekdays, they gallivant between villages testing out Jeffrey Sachs’s moribund poverty eradication theories. Weekends are spent on getaway safaris.

Our elites and Mrs Jellaby's claim to believe simultaneously in a universal temporal utopia, irreducible human rights but also rampant relativism and glorious diversity.

Africans must be saved from themselves but encouraged to be themselves. To chivvy Africans is imperialism; to return illegal migrants to their own countries is fascistic.

One must at least mouth the belief that all countries should and can evolve into liberal democracies irrespective of capacity and desire. Africa is the graveyard of liberal pieties yet an African invasion of Europe is treated as if it was an interesting variation on, say, the European move from rural to urban living a couple of centuries ago.

The best scenario I can envision is that the Chinese take over as much of that continent as has resources for them. They’ll put up with a lot less crap than the white colonizers did.

“I have travelled to Europe and elsewhere and have seen the harmful effects of birth control. Some countries are now facing declining population growth. They are short of manpower.”

Magufuli urged Tanzanians to ignore bad advice disseminated by outsiders saying: “It is important to reproduce.”

Can't say he made the wrong observations or reached the wrong conclusions, at least regarding to Europe's situation. Of course, Tanzania has a very different situation from Europe, in that it is under no threat of losing population for the next 50 years absent a total war, which overpopulation makes more likely to happen - so his advice is not the best for his country now, if it were to be followed.

On a side note, what a great thing a stay in the developed West does for third world leaders, isn't it? They either learn Marxist stuff (and harm their own people) or learn common sense that doesn't yet apply to their countries (and still harm their own people).

No, he has made the right conclusion. If Tanzania cuts back its population growth, but its neighbors don’t, when the food runs out they will have more people and will conquer Tanzania.

Less resources spent on children, more to spend in military-age youth and their people-killing toys.

  58. The breaking point will be:

Many moderate skilled Arabs back in the 1980s/90s could move to Europe and got that sweet asylum-welfare/factory-jobs/service-jobs or they could found something in the oil-rich Gulf emirates. Still the Arab countries were/are better ruled, but ultimately still had/have youth-unemployment-rates of around 25%. That continues til today with comparatively lower birthrate than the SS-Africans.

Same was for many Latinos, who could move to the US and found an establishment willing to welcome them.

The South-East-Asians & Chinese had on the other hand a huge wave of labor-intensive industrial jobs coming in and a booming domestic sector.

There will more investment and jobs and growth in SS-Africa, but when a critical number of those lower-middle-class boys see no future and the road to Europe is closed, that’s when the culling start.

He does a slightly racist pro-choice bit: To a pro-life supporter: "Here's your very own crack baby." Carson then goes: "Take care of this one for forty years!" (from 02:40).

I did a double take when Guantanamo came up. Has is been that long? Apparently it was just a random thing that Williams said, so the place must have been known somewhat pre-9/11, although I don't remember ever having heard of it.

Jonathan Winters shows up later in a full-blown Civil War uniform, not sure which side, and promptly makes an injun joke.

I first heard of Guantanamo in 1994, when Clinton thwarted Fidel’s attempt to launch Mariel 2.0 by intercepting the rafters and putting them in detention camps.

We've got a big chunk of this thing called desert...

Not sure whether you’re speaking sarcastically about desert, but it doesn’t matter. First, there are people who want to live in deserts, even if they shouldn’t.

Second, America can easily grow enough food with the arable land we have to feed a billion people. Of course, you might need to cut down on your meat consumption and your high fructose corn syrup consumption to grow people-food, but Sacrifices Must Be Made.

The 1992 flick , A few Good Men, with Tom Cruise as a JAG , was based off supposed events in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. But , in those heady days of the 1990s , with the End of History upon us , that aspect or reference may not have gained traction

    Everyone should read Snow Crash.

When every schoolchild (and every current adult) is taught to admire the Underground Railroad, and at least half the population would feel compelled to civil disobedience in the face of “racists” who insist on closing the border, yes I do think that enforcement would be expensive.

Much cheaper than invading the world, that’s true. Or is it? The same war profiteers who loved the Afganistan and Iraq wars (and who are agitating for Cold War II: The Putening) would be happy to charge 10x for border security. In fact, I think they’d insist on it.

Yet this one would be worth the cost, which is why I find it risible that the cost of the wall is even an issue.

Also, Netherlands seems to have stabilized white births in the aughties somehow. White natalism or foreigner disnatalism ... or just baby accounting tricks?

That is an astounding success actually, since two years ago only 35000 people had jobs out of 1.5 million. If the 20% proportion is true, then they still have wider employment than Somalis in Britain and they have just about reached the employment level of young Muslim men in the UK.

So, I guess when they reach that level, then that is all the integrating they will do.

I will look at google maps next time before posting. When I posted 1000 miles from Tanzania to Europe I figured at worst it must be 200o miles. So Tanzania’s head honcho wants to supply Europe with fresh African bodies from 400o miles away. Kind of amazing.
I see how major black bodies supplier Nigeria is much closer…as in about 2200 miles to Sicily.

That’s not enough, in my opinion, if Africans decline to do birth control, then there should be an international military blockade around the continent to avoid the rest of the world having to receive it’s excess population.

Putin poses for photos with Russia’s biggest families and presents them with The Order of Parental Glory in bid to reverse country’s falling population

Leader did tried to look cheerful as he awkwardly leaned-in for photos with timid families from across country
Presented them with order and bouquets of flowers in Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow
Putin struggled to produce a smile during a selfie and puffed out his chest as he stood with men, women and children for ceremonial photos

He’s known as a ruthless leader who rules with an iron fist and takes no prisoners, but Vladimir Putin did his best to look cheerful as he leaned in for selfies and handed out awards.

The dictator played host to an event aimed at encouraging Russians to have more babies.

He presented the country’s biggest families with The Order of Parental Glory and a bouquets of flowers in the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow.

Putin was seen awkwardly leaning in for a selfie and puffing out his chest as he stood with clans from across the country for ceremonial photos.

Men, women and children part of families from Moscow, Kaliningrad Region, Kurgan Region, Stavropol Territory, Republic of Mordovia, Republic of Khakassia and Republic of Sakha, all stood rigid by the Russian leader and timidly posed waited for their pictures to be taken.

The purpose of International Children’s Day is to recognise activities that promote ‘the institution of the family and child-rearing and reverse the country’s falling population.

If he cuts too much of it, for too long, you mean. At the right moment, cutting populational growth may even help defeating your enemies who didn’t do it; it lowers the dependency ratio, which is good for industry, which is good for war. Less resources spent on children, more to spend in military-age youth and their people-killing toys.

The problem is if you do it for too long, then you are screwed.

Our elites and Mrs Jellaby’s claim to believe simultaneously in a universal temporal utopia, irreducible human rights but also rampant relativism and glorious diversity.

Only 9 miles from Gibraltar to Morrocco. There are already plans for a bridge. For engineering reasons I don’t understand it won’t go straight across. One of the ways a White non Jewish heterosexual who identifies as 100 percent male or female can get into college is if the parents spend $5,000 plus airfare for a 6 day stint in some African village “teaching” Africans how to build huts or irrigation ditches or whatever

Now the baby boomer peace corps people did have some useful skills because no matter how wealthy the families some manual labor was done by the kids and many men had handyman skills to pass on.

But with a couple generations Hispanic help these rich kids never even washed the car mowed a lawn or pulled some weeds.

Can’t afford $5,000 plus airfare? Check the black or Hispanic box depending on your last name and your kids are in like Flynn with full scholarship.

Only 9 miles from Gibraltar to Morrocco. There are already plans for a bridge. For engineering reasons I don’t understand it won’t go straight across. It swooshes out in the Atlantic from the coast of Spain to the coast of Morocco. I haven’t seen anything about it for a long time. Maybe the design wasn’t practical or couldn’t be done.

For some years now one can get MAs and even PHDs in Social Justice Entrepreneurship. It’s actually grant hustling and poverty pimping ala Hesse Jackson and Al Sharpton

100 years ago an ambitious young person who couldn’t get a job borrowed and scrounged some moment and set up his own business.

Now days an ambitious young person who can’t get a job borrows $500 or whatever it costs, sets up a non profit charitable and educational foundation and most importantly, hires a professional grant writer who works on commission

A few months later you’re executive director of a bogus do gooder non profit with a salary of 100K a year.

The big boom in non profits came about with affirmative action. Whites who couldn’t jobs jumped in

No its not just a Polish thing as other ethnic Europeans in the UK also have higher Tfr's, If you use Google translate to search Demographics of Poland in Polish you will find on the Wikipedia page Polish births in the UK. The numbers have increased significantly and while a small number of births are to non European partners the vast majority are with White partners ( Poles Brits etc ) All the data comes from the British office of national statistics ( ONS ). Cheers

Thank you. Good news of a sort at least!

. If the 20% proportion is true, then they still have wider employment than Somalis in Britain and they have just about reached the employment level of young Muslim men in the UK.

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/4411913/just-one-in-five-muslims-are-in-work-as-report-finds-they-are-held-back-by-racism/

Of course, they are held back by racism.

I hope you are not serious.

I was echoing the title in the hyperlink. And being facetious. I am here, aren’t I? And I am not Tiny Duck :P

Personally, I still think the actual, honest to God employment levels are at a bit more than the 35 k they had 2 years ago. Maybe 100k? Definitely not 20%, but I may be wrong. Still, UK Somalis are at 10%, half of those part time :))

There is no logical reason why we send our graduates over there, while importing their graduates to the West.

Yours are not crazy enough to stay there. They just go for the ego boost, the poverty tourism, the sex tourism and a vicarious colonial thrill. They soon come back and start lecturing you on the importance of taking Africans in.

The West has to stop providing financial aid to Africa. All we are doing is feeding stupidity.

You believe too much in propaganda, ‘white’ countries do not do anything for Africa but steal them.

There was a theory that high population density in England caused the industrial revolution. Tanzania is a big country. My guess is that’s the angle the President is looking at this from.
