Here are pictures of the most wanted criminals in Sweden:

http://www.swedensmostwanted.se/

These kind of most wanted lists tend to fill up with immigrants because immigrants or their sons or grandsons are more likely to stay out of jail longest by fleeing back to the home country (from which they often claimed they needed refuge in Sweden because their neighbors were — for some completely unaccountable reasons — out to get them). In contrast, homeboys tend to get arrested and sentenced fast because they are homeys, so the cops know where to find them, and thus they don’t stay wanted for long.

But still … I feel that I’ve been lied to by my Girl With the Dragon Tattoo hate porn DVDs. Or is that just proof of the true evil of the systemic racism of Sweden that the most wanted criminals are non-Swedes while the homegrown billionaire serial killers walk the streets of every city, free to rape and kill some more tonight? Yes, that is what it must be.

  1. I remember laughing when a girl I was dating told me about The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. She, well versed on the politically incorrect, assumed I was amused by rape capital Sweden’s poster boy rapist being a rich white guy. It was actually the thought of a tattooed woman wanting to kill, rather than shack up with, a violent rapist.

  3. Most are wanted for drug or murder charges (with a fair number of tax and accounting frauds). The most entertaining of the bunch is the one Swede: Sven Petersson, wanted for “Economic Crimes”. There might be one or two other Swedes (or Western Europeans) in the group, but the pictures speak for themselves.

OT: Sailer seems to be missing the main thrust of what’s been happening in France after the Paris butchery. It seems to have devolved into a pissing match between France and Israel over which loves the French Jews most. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/14/opinion/after-paris-attack-many-jews-question-their-future-in-france.html?_r=0. Bibi seems to have adopted Raim Emmanuel’s view to never let a crisis happen without some advantage leveraged. Nothing would satisfy him more than to increase Israeli numbers by a hundred thousand or so of excellent and productive Jews from France. Real Jews, for sure. No more of those 1/16th horror shows from the ex-Soviet Union.

  5. Meanwhile in Brussels things got a little too vibrant in a police van when one cop pulled his service weapon on another cop when their discussion on religion got too heated. The policeman of Moroccan origin had a firearm pointed at him by a Belgian-Belgian officer. They were on duty to police the “Je Suis Charlie” march, so I guess that’s how the topic came up. Multiculturalism is having a bad 2015 so far in Europe.

Every Finnish person I have ever met spoke flawless English. Among Finns interested in analytic number theory the proportion fluent in English must be north of 90 percent. So what was the point of a Finnish translation?

It’s interesting that the crime/murder rate in Indonesia is very low, yet in The Philippines it is significantly higher. The reason I say interesting is because both Filipinos and Indonesians have Austronesian/Malay blood pumping through their hearts and so are quite genetically closely related to each other from a racial/ethnic standpoint.

I did not see any Russians, but I saw one that looked Ukrainian (Oleksander Cherepovsky), and I saw a couple that were from the Balkans, including some Serbian (e.g., Milosevic), Bosnian Muslim (Samir Subasic) and Albanian (Gorqaj). I’m guessing that refugee status was easier to come by if one happened to be from the former Yugoslavia than if one were from Russia or Ukraine.

  41. I figured that guy was an ethnic Gypsy. Greek Gypsies long ago adopted the outward trappings of Greek identity (Greek names, language, nominal adherence to Orthodox Christianity), but still tend to be involved in the ‘professions’ that Roma groups the world over are renowned for, and have maintained the South Asian features of their ancestors.

A disproportionally large number of Roma have moved to Western and Northern Europe as the EU expands into the Balkans and the former Warsaw Pact. They must outnumber the traditional Roma populations of France, Britain, and Sweden by a significant margin at this point.

  43. The French Jews are “excellent human material” as the Israelis used to say – maybe they still do. Of course Bibi wants them. In any event, at least half are not Ashkenazi but Mizrachi/Sephardi, who arrived from Algeria and Tunisia and Libya at the same time as their Muslim “cousins” did, in the late 50s, early 1960s. But oddly enough, despite being immigrants, despite being darker, despite having odd names, despite arriving poor, despite being religious, they did not turn to crime, they did not turn to terror, they are not on welfare, they did not create no-go zones, they are not “alienated” from France or the West and they are socially and economically integrated into the French middle class. How is that even possible?

The growing criminal underclass on non-Nordics in Northern Europe is going to give little utopias like Sweden the same muti-culti-raci-crappy realities Americans have had to deal with for centuries.

Pretty soon, the Ann Joneses of the world won’t have clean, little Disneylands like Sweden to hold up as examples of government entitlement paradise anymore.

But that will be a sad day.

  46. Did not know half of French Jews were Sephardic and arrived post-WWII from North Africa. Very interesting. That fact is not mentioned much in the stuff I’ve read the last few days. The commentary suggests French Jews survived Dreyfus and Nazi occupation, and to have them leave now would be a tragedy of the first order (which is true regardless of their period of arrival). And obviously it does not surprise me that they are mainstream and successful. If a quarter left (100k or 25%) “France is no longer France” according to French politicians, but the lure of Israel has to be pretty strong. Why wouldn’t one leave? It’s amazing that a bunch of retarded, blood-thirsty Muslims might force out one of the last large Jewish populations in Western Europe. Just amazing.

  59. My wife likes to watch Swedish “crimis” (she speaks Norwegian and it’s close enough), and recently they’ve been writing foreign criminals into the shows. They are typically Balts, a very large number of whom work in Sweden. Yet I don’t see one single unambiguous Balt on the list. In fact, I don’t see many Russians, either. A few Yugos and some obvious gypsies with Eastern European names, sure, but the nearest Slavs and Balts are apparently nowhere near as menacing as Swedish TV makes them out to be.

I guess the Balts should be happy — when you become the bad guys on Sweden’s version of Law and Order you know your people have finally arrived.

A lot of Indonesians aren’t Muslim at all. Indonesia has a huge Chinese population, and Bali is largely Hindu. There are also still a lot of “Indos” scattered around the world who are of partial European ancestry, like Mark Paul Gosselaar and the Van Halen brothers.

My guess is that most whites who marry Indonesians are hitching up with Chinese.

Lund is a university town, and very free of immigrants, at least in the old town. My hosts told me that they were concentrated in specific areas, and that, if I wanted to be truly horrified, I should take the fifteen minute train ride to Malmö. I declined the offer with a smile – or was it without?
My hosts were anti-immigrant to a man. The fiercest was in fact a woman, a Nordic Amazon standing a good six foot one, who made it plain that the fate of the untermenschen at her hands would be material for a saga worthy of being recited for the next thousand years.

Yeah, I noticed that after I commented and I should have said Serb or Montenegrin. Those names are almost always impossible to distinguish, whereas even I can differentiate many Serbs and Croats despite being far from an expert in such matters.

However, the question of whether Serbs and Montenegrins are a ethnically distinct is itself a matter of some dispute. I believe the “we-are-not-Serbs” faction claims that voting trickery by “occupying” Serb soldiers was what resulted in Montenegro joining Yugoslavia in the first place, and Royalist intrigue was responsible for blurring two distinct peoples, but the details escape me. But other Montenegrins would disagree. If I am not mistaken, the most famous of them (next to the fictional Nero Wolfe), Milovan Djilas, regarded Montenegrins simply as Serbs.

Also, at one time, listing yourself as Montenegrin was less problematic, visa-wise, than being a Serb. Kind of like calling an American calling himself Canadian when he goes overseas.

  79. The super of my building is from Montenegro. The other day he sent his nephew to do some repairs. We were chatting and then I asked him “So you’re from Montenegro…?” He immediately seemed embarrassed, lowered his tone, and replied “we’re from Montenegro but we’re Serbian. It used to be one country.”

I expected a young guy to be more keen on identifying with the whole Montenegrin identity thing, but turns out I was wrong.

  80. “He immediately seemed embarrassed, lowered his tone, and replied “we’re from Montenegro but we’re Serbian. It used to be one country.”

That does seem odd. Then again, according to a New Yorker article I cannot locate, one of Montenegro’s primary sources of income is cigarette smuggling. Several key members of the “Serbian” ring of jewelry thieves, aka the Pink Panthers, are in fact from Montenegro.

Meanwhile, in Serbia, there is a lot of suspiciously heavy-handed effort directed towards proving that it is Kosovo that is a haven for crime, including that of organ-trafficking. Albanians do have something of a reputation for sex-trafficking and drug smuggling, but I’m not sure how elemental Kosovo itself is. (As I’ve noted previously, the Liam Neeson film Taken does feature Albanian sex-slavers, but instead of preying on Moldovans, Russians, and Ukrainians, those in the movie go after California girls in Paris. Anyway, in the matter of trying to identify ethnicities from names, the film is careful to give those Albanians distinctly Christian names like Marko and Petar. Call it a wild hunch, but I’m guessing the names of more typical Albanian sex-traffickers have a more Eastern lilt.)

  81. Not everyone in the world should have to speak and read English all the time. Sameness is boring, mind-stifling, and soul-sapping. Kudos to the Finns for fighting to keep their tongue alive.

  82. If there are, there aren’t many, and they have far fewer days ahead than behind. Sad to think that, more and more, the mind of the world is monolingual.

Many everyday English words are of Old Norse stock – when the Vikings came to Albion, they brought their tongue with them. Now the English are teaching the Swedes how to speak.

Sadly, English-speakers are also teaching the Swedes how to think – or how *not* to think, I should say – by dumping all of that multiculti skitsnack into their heads. But more and more Swedes are getting wise to the con.

  83. This is OT, but here are a few thoughts on the English tongue some 948 years and three months after the Battle of Hastings:

I remember when, as a child, I first read about the Norman invasion’s impact on the evolution of English. Not too long after that, I read about the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis. Studying both topics in close succession left me immensely disillusioned and depressed – I realized that if my tongue determined my thoughts, then my thoughts were determined by the actions of men who died over 900 years before I was born. I was subject to the tyranny of the dead.

Like most smart kids, I had always prided myself on knowing and using lots of “big” words. But then, in the midst of my disillusionment, I considered that most big words were merely synonyms of small words, and that their main value was to make my ideas seem more significant than they really were. Then I realized that the big words were mostly French, Latin, or Greek, and that the small words were mostly Germanic. So my pride was little more than mimicry of Norman snobbery – I was acting out the psychosocial dramas of eleventh-century England in twentieth-century America. I felt like a brand-new robot doomed to obey the obsolete commands of a long-dead programmer.

This idea still troubles me today. I’m no longer a hard-core Sapir-Whorfer, but it bothers me that there might be perfectly good thoughts that my English-thinking mind simply can’t bring itself to form. It also bothers me to see so many people still engaged in the same old psychosocial drama. For nearly a thousand years, English-speakers have been inculcated with the notion that French and, by extension, Latin and Greek are somehow better than English, and that the Frenchier/Latiner/Greeker English is, the better.

Life is a pissing match. We all want to believe that we’re better than the schlubs who surround us. If we hear the schlubs speaking Germanic words, then we who strive for superiority speak Romance words. But then we find that we’re not alone at the top – there are lots of snobby schlubs who speak Romance words. So some of us embrace a kind of reverse snobbery – we find extra value in speaking Germanic words, to demonstrate that we can out-snob the snobbiest and to signify that we will not allow the cultural descendants of 11th-century Normans to tell us how to talk.

In Romance words: By disregarding arbitrary principles of linguistic correctness and Romance-vocabulary superiority outlined by insecure pedants, this correspondent is attempting to establish his independence from patterns of thought to which English-speaking persons have been subjected for centuries.

In Germanic words: Fuck you, William*! Keep your rotten words away from my beloved tongue. Take your sword and swallow it, or shove it up your…

*Conquer and bastard come from French, so I couldn’t write his full name. Ass comes from arse, which comes from French, so I couldn’t write ass. I considered writing your wife’s [bad-word-for-vagina-starting-with-c], but that would have been going too far.

  84. Many of those who speak English well prefer to read books in translation. On a practical level, reading foreign-language texts always takes more time. The native language is also much better if you want to learn things outside your own field. Many people also fear that Finland is becoming a cultural colony of Anglosphere countries, and this process will accelerate if modern science books accessible to the general reader are not available in Finnish. If future teachers of math or physics only read English books and attend only English-language courses, they may find it difficult to teach the stuff in Finnish.

Of course, this is not a problem if you are mathematics professor with a cosmopolitan outlook. Such people do their specialized research in English and can make sure that their children get a good education. They might prefer to put their kids in an English language school. For them, there is probably no point in translating science books in Finnish. From a nationalist perspective, it makes more sense, even though Finland is a small market for books such as yours. My guess is that many copies were bought by the association of math and science teachers. They give similar books to pupils who do well in nationwide competitions, encouraging them to dig deeper and go for STEM fields at university. This way we can reach talented kids whose parents are not researchers, provide more equal opportunities of education and make Finland more competitive.

  85. The French Jews are predominately North African Jews who chose to move to France instead of Israel when it got too hot to stay in Algeria et al.

Can’t say as I blame them. Most Americans Jews made the same choice over the last 100+ years.

Things have turned out a bit strangely, tho. The Jews that wanted to stay in the West and make money off the goyim are now buying up expensive real estate in Israel for vacation homes. This, in turn, is pricing the blood and soil Jews (who did the right thing and made aliyah) out of the Israeli market. The B&S Jews find themselves having to move West (eg L.A., as Steve noted).

  86. Let me second A Finnish reader about this: reading books in English is usually slower for me, and I doubt it’ll ever get as fast as reading the same thing in my native tongue. Especially if it’s a difficult or specialized subject which is outside my field of expertise. For example for someone in Finland who just started to study analytic number theory it might be a lot easier to study from a Finnish language book than from an English one.
