Stock Tip: As Obama Huddles with Sharpton, Invest in World Star Hip Hop

President Obama is meeting this afternoon with Rev. Sharpton. Among reforms the President is proposing is buying 50,000 videocameras for policemen to wear, and trying to marginally demilitarize police equipment. If you can remember way back to August, that was what the kool kid konservatives were saying was the Real Problem in Ferguson: cops having too much body armor and the like. Even Ross Douthat fell for that one for awhile.

Anyway, as commenter anonymous-antimarxist notes, equipping even more cops with always active videocameras will keep World Star Hip Hop stocked full of hilarious hi-jinx in the ‘hood.

As you’ll recall, one cause of the rage of the privilege class in the prestige press is that in recent years, Americans have been able to increasingly watch on sites like World Star Hip Hop clips of blacks behaving badly. The national media have responded by turning the volume on the Megaphone up to 11: “Do Not Believe Your Lying Eyes! White Privilege! Black Bodies! Intersectionality! Invisible Knapsacks! Microaggressions!”

The convenience store where Michael Brown began his fatal crime spree had a security camera. The Obama Administration sure didn’t pay attention to that video.

Here’s an oldie but goodie from Philadelphia made possible by brand new video security cameras on the bus:

And I don’t believe for one moment that some “ghetto nerd” is the real impresario. Video hosting websites take big iron, big pipes and big money. Plain words, you don’t run one off an iPad while clad only in underroos running around your parents’ basement.

I would not be surprised to learn one day that some relatively anonymous fairly well to do white racialist was the money man behind it all, in order to create a medium where blacks let the world know how badly blacks misbehave. It’s one thing when we try to communicate with words how bad the black undertow is, but when blacks willingly upload videos showing the same thing, it’s a lot more effective.

By the way Steve thanks for the hat tip. I am honoured.

Every wonder how a website like WSHH that certainly does nothing to dissuade violent ghetto behaviour is nonetheless able to attract the major advertisers dying to attract all those black dollars.

Meanwhile if one visits conservative websites and especially Talk Radio one can not avoid noticing that they do not begin to draw the quality and quantity of advertisers that the buying power of their audiences should warrant.

Guess it must be on account of those Goyishe Kops like those at Sterling Copper Draper Pryce who are to blame.

WorldStarHipHop (WSHH) is an American hip-hop site, shock site, and content aggregating video blog.[2] Created in 2005, the site averages 1.1 million unique visitors a day. Alexa ranks the site 247th in site traffic in the United States and 983rd for worldwide traffic.[3][4] The site, operated by Worldstar, LLC,[5] was founded by Lee "Q" O 'Denat, a Hollis, Queens-based hip-hop fan,[4] and a dropout from Grover Cleveland High School,[6] who describes himself as a "Haitian ghetto nerd"

    http://www.vibe.com/article/worldstarhiphop-exposed-truth-behind-controversial-site

According to Q, his strategy pays off with “roughly” 2 million unique visitors a day. Alexa, a Web analytics company, ranks the site 225th in site traffic in the United States and the 900th in the world. By comparison, MTV.com notches 222nd and Travelocity.com at 232nd. Alexa says World Star’s visitors tend to be Black males under the age of 35 who are “moderately educated.” As a result of all this activity, Q says the site is valued “in the millions.”

World Star’s viewership may be subject for debate, but their revenue is real. According to the site’s rate card, they charge $500 to post a video, $1,250 for mixtape/DVD trailers and $5,000 for X-rated clips. Putting content in the featured top box costs $2,500 a day, while there is no charge for videos from established artists. Q says that Cîroc vodka paid several hundred thousand dollars for a comprehensive yearlong campaign. Money rolls in through Paypal, corporate checks and knots of duffel-bag cash (one of Q’s associates even alluded to a system where money was picked up at the front desk of hotels). Now, in hopes of growing into an empire, World Star has expanded into management and bookings, and inked a deal with Ed Hardy to introduce a World Star clothing line.

Pulling in that kind of money, one can hire a boiler room full of H1-B overstays and pay them in cash.

Remember that California is a really big state, not just high profile Los Angeles and San Francisco.

It has a huge blue collar employment base, and manufactures and distributes more than most countries, all of which happens far from the glamour addresses and coffee bars.

Drive around the Inland Empire east of LA, or down the I-5 corridor for easy examples, or visit the refineries in Carson or in the Pittsburg/Concord area of the Bay Area.

Libs say they want more cameras to minimize police brutality, but that’s just a red herring. They really want more cameras to catch more black criminals and/or to dissuade them from acting badly as their transgressions will be caught on camera.

Libs, esp Jews, are very sly. They excoriate us for ‘obsessing’ over such videos, but they want more such videos via more cameras to nab more street thugs so that cities will be safer.

Though libs say ‘teens’ than ‘blacks’, the cameras show black.

If you can’t say the word, show the image. It doesn’t lie.

Blacks are so stupid. ‘More cameras’ is what white folks want.

If cameras can dissuade them from acting badly that's great. That keeps the public safer and saves the expense of locking people up and then having to rationalize the existence of a disproportionately black prison population in terms of institutional racism when that isn't the whole story.

I would have thought that police would overwhelmingly support the use of body cameras. I know that part of the reason for cameras on transit buses is to protect drivers and transit agencies from law suits, not just to deter actual violent crime or vandalism. I know of a woman who threatened to sue a local bus company because she said that she hurt her back when she got up to give her seat to someone else. In this case I think she was a known liar, but regardless of that I can see how a security video would be useful in showing whether she had any reasonable grounds to sue, i.e. reckless driver, grabbed a broken hand rail etc.

Even with police bodycams, there appears to be a lot of media discretion in which "justifiable homicides" become national news events. I'm sure this incident has been brought up on this blog before, but look at the bodycam video from the police shooting of Dillon Taylor (who was white) last August in Salt Lake City:

    http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/news/58472404-78/taylor-cruz-hands-gill.html.csp

A search at the NYT website turns up one short article about the incident.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/28/us/seeking-answers-in-utah-shooting.html?module=Search&mabReward=relbias%3Ar%2C{%222%22%3A%22RI%3A13%22}

And in this local, not national news followup, notice how the officer is referred to as "non-white." I'm guessing that if he had been up for an award he would have been described as an "officer of color."

    http://wreg.com/2014/11/25/salt-lake-cop-cleared-in-shooting-of-unarmed-white-man/

I'm not defending Taylor's actions; he was apparently drunk, he acted like a thug, and he may have even had a death wish. But I am pointing out that in this case, the threshold of violence and level of direct threat to the officer was considerably less than in the case of Darren Wilson.

One of the best comments I’ve read on Ferguson to date by a commenter named Christopher on a Yahoo News story:

“The media is having a field day by inciting, arguably, the biggest display of manufactured racial anger and rioting across America in recent years. The merits of the case speak for themselves, but the media is laughing at everyone getting inflamed by their promulgation of increasingly ridiculous material, and all of the respectable Black men and women out there are being insulted, degraded, and demoralized by the unbelievable stupidity that is being displayed on televisions and computers everywhere. I’m surprised that the media themselves are not facing charges in this circus. To the rioters, I say, put down your hands, stop breaking the law, stop #$%$ where you sleep, and you will have nothing to worry about. And to the media, find another barrel to turn over and scrape the bottom of, we are all sick of this trash being rammed down our throats. Cut off the public venue for these idiots to make bigger fools of themselves. At this point, the media has more responsibility to quell the onslaught of racial tension than any citizen in uniform or public service.”

Incidentally, what is the demographic of Yahoo News readers? Anybody know? I’m looking forward to public opinion polls on Ferguson in the coming days.

  7. I question how prevalent these fight and attack incidents are. I have been visiting WSHH and liveLeak daily for the last few months. ( LiveLeak has some very funny commenters. Better than what you hear from professionals. WSHH commenters are total morons. ) They do not post an overwhelming number of these dysfunctional American society videos. Maybe 3 or 4 every week. WSHH also does a composite of Vine video snippets every week or so, which have a lot of beatdown violence. My point is that these two sites must be sucking up every video that is available. And in a country of 300 million maybe we are not as bad off as what we see indicates.

So true. This is the reason the Army sends its trauma docs to train in urban warfare zones. They get a couple dozen shooting victims a week and learn how to patch 'em up fast.

The problem comes in when the white folks leave, the city turns 24/7 ghetto, the ambulances stop running and the hospitals only have incompetent doctors. That's when the shooting death rate rises to more traditional levels.

Don’t miss Charles Barkley’s take on Ferguson:

    http://news.yahoo.com/why-charles-barkley-supports-ferguson-grand-jury-decision-163736319.html

What’s up with Charles Barkley? Why is HE the voice of black sanity? Why does he seem to be the only black person in the country willing to look at the evidence? He did the same thing with the Zimmerman trial — he listened to the evidence and recognized that Zimmerman acted in self defense.

    Quoting from the linked article:

“The true story came out from the grand jury testimony,” Barkley said, adding that he was made aware of “key forensic evidence, and several black witnesses that supported Officer Darren Wilson’s story…” He continued, “I can’t believe anything I hear on television anymore. And, that’s why I don’t like talking about race issues with the media anymore, because they (the media) love this stuff, and lead people to jump to conclusions. The media shouldn’t do that. They never do that when black people kill each other. ”

He also called those who rioted after the decision was announced “scumbags,” and said “There is no excuse for people to be out there burning down people’s businesses, burning down police cars.”

And in a marked departure from other prominent black leaders who have questioned tactics used by officers and, in some cases, accused officers of racial profiling and outright racism, Barkley supported police officers, especially those who work in black neighborhoods.

“[W]e have to be really careful with the cops, because if it wasn’t for the cops we would be living in the Wild, Wild West in our neighborhoods,” he said. “We can’t pick out certain incidentals that don’t go our way and act like the cops are all bad…. Do you know how bad some of these neighborhoods would be if it wasn’t for the cops?”

  14. Cultural Marxists have a Schrodinger’s Cat view of underclass behaviour. The simple act of filming it will change it for the better.

Steve, remember very real scandals in Chicago, during the height of the crack war years where the CPD was beating confessions out of gang bangers using telephone books.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_Burge

Now almost all police station interrogations are videoed.

Video technology gave smart cops the possibility of uncovering more confessors/defectors via game theory’s prisoner’s dilemma while rendering actual police brutality an increasingly ineffective, in fact counter productive, tactic.

Living in Cook County, I sat on a jury in 1995 for a first degree murder trial of a gang enforcer involving an inter gang execution style murder of a potential snitch that was done in the middle of the street in full view of dozens. The prosecution’s case went down in flames because every witness claimed that the cops tried to beat a confession out of them. Suddenly every Chicago detective was another Jon Budge and the all a defence attorney had to do was to get one black who believed this on the jury.

Also the advent of police station camera gave us that awesome insight into underclass criminal mentality, The First 48.

Calling for all police to wear body cameras will be the equivalent of the mid-eighties call lead by the Congressional Black Caucus for tougher sentences for dealing crack cocaine vs powder. In a decade or so the Cultural Marxist Media will have to try to brainwash everybody that it was YT’s idea.

I loved that article. Loved it! It's a brilliant, brilliant piece of debate-framing propaganda, well worth studying. A classic case of reiterating the standard narrative while pretending you're saying something edgy and new. What he's basically saying is, sure, we've all been told that blacks have advanced to the point that a black man can be president, but the truth is that finally enough white people are non-racist enough to vote for him. Of course, if you step back and think for even a fraction of a second you'll remember that the standard narrative was telling us well into 2008 that whites might still be too racist to vote for Obama. In other words, the marksmanship displayed in this Philadelphia shooting event resembled a typical warm midsummer weekend in Obama's Chicago where you have 30-50 "teens" getting shot, but with only maybe 1-2 casualties.

So true. This is the reason the Army sends its trauma docs to train in urban warfare zones. They get a couple dozen shooting victims a week and learn how to patch ‘em up fast.

The problem comes in when the white folks leave, the city turns 24/7 ghetto, the ambulances stop running and the hospitals only have incompetent doctors. That’s when the shooting death rate rises to more traditional levels.

A target of opportunity the Obama administration seems to be going for is greater federal control over local police. Obama the other day:

“They are going to co-chair a task force that is not only going to reach out and listen to law enforcement, and community activists and other stakeholders, but is going to report to me specifically in 90 days with concrete recommendations, including best practices for communities where law enforcement and neighborhoods are working well together — how do they create accountability; how do they create transparency; how do they create trust; and how can we at the federal level work with the state and local communities to make sure that some of those best practices get institutionalized.

So this is not going to be an endless report that we’re going to have collecting dust on the shelf. My expectation is concrete recommendations that we can begin to operationalize over the federal, state and local levels. And the good news is, is that we’ve got two folks who are respected by activists and respected by law enforcement, and I’m confident they’re going to do an outstanding job. I want them to help us make sure that crime continues to go down and more community trust in the police goes up.”

Note the short time frame, don’t-let-a-crisis-go-to-waste approach. Any bets on whether the “best practices” will include calling out the National Guard to make sure looters don’t loot? Yeah, I thought so. Once the feds get their hooks in you’ll have the DOJ second guessing every traffic stop.

Sharpton is the black 007. Reverend, race-hustler, “journalist,” drug-dealer…

Obama thinks he can spend 2 to 3 hundred million on videocameras for cops, and look like he’s doing something. How about incentives for States to mandate all cops on duty wear them every minute they’re on duty? To enact legislation stripping legal protections from cops who use force on the job and aren’t wearing their cameras?

Anyway, as commenter anonymous-antimarxist notes, equipping even more cops with always active videocameras will keep World Star Hip Hop stocked full of hilarious hi-jinx in the ‘hood.

Yes, while Obama’s reaction seems to lack any teeth, it is interesting that he likes the idea of body cameras for cops. Strongly suggests that he’s a genuine Kool-Aid drinker on the topic; that he really believes the trouble between cops and blacks is mostly due to cop malfeasance. Otherwise, he’d never go with the body camera thing.

Dude, come on, the behavior of the criminals on that show is unbelievable. How hard is it to memorize the rule "If you are guilty of a crime, just keep saying 'lawyer' over and over again?" How can a human be incapable of doing that one simple thing? When twenty years of their life is at stake? When they are habitual criminals? Have they had lots of experiences where they were able to talk their way out of violent felonies? Out of murders? Where do they get the idea that this is something they can bring off? It's insane. Don’t miss Charles Barkley’s take on Ferguson:

    http://news.yahoo.com/why-charles-barkley-supports-ferguson-grand-jury-decision-163736319.html

What's up with Charles Barkley? Why is HE the voice of black sanity? Why does he seem to be the only black person in the country willing to look at the evidence? He did the same thing with the Zimmerman trial -- he listened to the evidence and recognized that Zimmerman acted in self defense.

    Quoting from the linked article:

"The true story came out from the grand jury testimony," Barkley said, adding that he was made aware of "key forensic evidence, and several black witnesses that supported Officer Darren Wilson’s story..." He continued, "I can’t believe anything I hear on television anymore. And, that’s why I don’t like talking about race issues with the media anymore, because they (the media) love this stuff, and lead people to jump to conclusions. The media shouldn’t do that. They never do that when black people kill each other. "

He also called those who rioted after the decision was announced "scumbags," and said "There is no excuse for people to be out there burning down people's businesses, burning down police cars."

And in a marked departure from other prominent black leaders who have questioned tactics used by officers and, in some cases, accused officers of racial profiling and outright racism, Barkley supported police officers, especially those who work in black neighborhoods.

“[W]e have to be really careful with the cops, because if it wasn’t for the cops we would be living in the Wild, Wild West in our neighborhoods," he said. "We can’t pick out certain incidentals that don’t go our way and act like the cops are all bad.... Do you know how bad some of these neighborhoods would be if it wasn't for the cops?”

Well, you know what he said to his mama.

Mama: “Charles, why you vote for the Republicans? They only care about rich people.”

Libs say they want more cameras to minimize police brutality, but that's just a red herring. They really want more cameras to catch more black criminals and/or to dissuade them from acting badly as their transgressions will be caught on camera.

Libs, esp Jews, are very sly. They excoriate us for 'obsessing' over such videos, but they want more such videos via more cameras to nab more street thugs so that cities will be safer.

Though libs say 'teens' than 'blacks', the cameras show black.

If you can't say the word, show the image. It doesn't lie.

Blacks are so stupid. 'More cameras' is what white folks want.

Libs say they want more cameras to minimize police brutality, but that’s just a red herring. They really want more cameras to catch more black criminals and/or to dissuade them from acting badly as their transgressions will be caught on camera.

If cameras can dissuade them from acting badly that’s great. That keeps the public safer and saves the expense of locking people up and then having to rationalize the existence of a disproportionately black prison population in terms of institutional racism when that isn’t the whole story.

Even with police bodycams, there appears to be a lot of media discretion in which “justifiable homicides” become national news events. I’m sure this incident has been brought up on this blog before, but look at the bodycam video from the police shooting of Dillon Taylor (who was white) last August in Salt Lake City:

    http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/news/58472404-78/taylor-cruz-hands-gill.html.csp

A search at the NYT website turns up one short article about the incident.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/28/us/seeking-answers-in-utah-shooting.html?module=Search&mabReward=relbias%3Ar%2C{%222%22%3A%22RI%3A13%22}

And in this local, not national news followup, notice how the officer is referred to as “non-white.” I’m guessing that if he had been up for an award he would have been described as an “officer of color.”

    http://wreg.com/2014/11/25/salt-lake-cop-cleared-in-shooting-of-unarmed-white-man/

I’m not defending Taylor’s actions; he was apparently drunk, he acted like a thug, and he may have even had a death wish. But I am pointing out that in this case, the threshold of violence and level of direct threat to the officer was considerably less than in the case of Darren Wilson.

It’s actually 82. They round it up to make it look less bad. Not only that, but the curve is much more narrow, some 90% being bunched up between about 80 and 90. Very few even over 100 much less 120. That said, there are genuinely intelligent blacks, blacks with good work ethics and good managerial skills. I work with a couple.

I, for one, am glad the government is finally cracking down on all the blatant KKK activity going on in this nation. Surely the government wants to know I’m behind them 200%! You go, Media!

How does Ferguson work against Hilary?”

I don’t know. But, by all means, let’s find a way, and make it stick.

  57. By the way, since you mock the general sentiment that local cops ought to concentrate on things besides acquiring more helicopters and tear gas, where would you as the new James Q. Wilson expert on civic order draw the line? Maybe a goo-goo statute forbidding Lockheed and General Dynamics from lobbying the Fraternal Order of Police? Should National Guard be on the streets a week ahead of every Air Jordan release or Chief Keef concert, or are you comfortable only calling them up for Walmart Cyber Mondays

Al Sharpton and Hussein Obama have become real close lately, like Matt Damon and Ben Affleck level close. Like Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor level close.

Al Sharpton has become Hussein Obama's BFF.

There are collateral-damage branches of the Democratic Party whose low-level officials are none too happy with Obama’s “I do what I want” tack since last month. Bill Clinton also used to run up to Harlem and hide behind some blacks whenever relations with the party rank & file became strained. It didn’t solve anything but it did get him through a news cycle occasionally

    @ Luke Lea:

Barkley better be careful lest some white skanks in the pay of Sharpton start making rape allegations against him.
