From the New York Times:

Adventurous. Alone. Attacked.

The number of female solo travelers has skyrocketed, but amid Instagram-worthy escapades are tales of violence and death, raising questions about how the world is greeting women who travel alone.

By Megan Specia and Tariro Mzezewa
March 25, 2019

…Recent headlines about the deadly violence inflicted on women traveling alone have raised questions about how the world is greeting the documented rise in female solo travelers and about the role of social media in promoting the idea that far-off lands are easily accessible and safe. …

And violent episodes are just as likely to occur, experts note, in rich Western nations such as France, Italy and Germany as in the developing world. …

From her perspective, there are no dangerous countries, just dangerous people.

So, don’t look to the New York Times, ladies, for any useful information on how to avoid places with a higher chance of you being raped or murdered.

That would be racist.

Really? This would be news to Lonely Planet. According to their books there are big differences in how female travelers are treated depending on the country, and I think they know what they’re talking about.

  2. A healthy patriarchal society doesn’t have to conscript young single women like in Margaret Atwood’s stupid novel to nudge them into doing the right thing.

Instead it just look out for women’s interests by providing against preventable evils. In this case, the government would refuse to issue passports to single women.

However, the article spins that to say how safe it is, statistically speaking.

Stateside you may be able to carry a gun on the trail … you know, for wildcats and bears.

The great thing about articles encouraging women to travel solo, unlike articles that encourage college women to get drunk at parties (don’t blame the victim, women have the right to behave the same as men), is that American men are not available as the scapegoat when something happens. And you don’t get very far complaining about toxic masculinity of men overseas, especially in non-Western countries with completely different cultures.

  15. And violent episodes are just as likely to occur, experts note, in rich Western nations such as France, Italy and Germany as in the developing world. …

As Jack points out, this is the kind of legerdemain that gets these adventurous grrrls raped and murdered in the first place.

French and German girls are lucky, they don’t have to buy a world ticket and a bunch of expensive gear for the thrill of being violently ‘desired’ by an Arabian or jungle savage.

I met a reporter in Rome who was assigned to cover the never-ending Amanda Knox case. She was describing all the ins and outs, and I asked her directly, what’s the mystery? An Italian, a coed from the US, and an Ivorian drug dealer. The African drug dealer murdered Meredith Kercher, obviously.

Well, that (correct) conclusion wasn’t going to allow her to spend months in Rome writing stories on all the ins and outs of this ‘mystery,’ so she kept going on about the ins and outs.

There was an American woman killed in 2016 in Italy, and I guessed it was an African just by the way the news stories were written. Sure enough, her boyfriend found her body after a Senagalese she met in a nightclub and took home raped her and smashed her skull.

I’m getting my daughter’s husband from the ‘Farmers Only’ dating site.

One may note that despite copious numbers cited in the article, this particular assertion is not supported. Indeed, all the anecdotal evidence from the story says otherwise. But that’s just cuz we’re a bunch of racist noticers twisted into subhumanity by endemic English jurisprudence.

In the past women traveling alone might from time to time find compatriate male traveling companions to offer some protection on particularly worrisome legs of their trip. But nowadays, just as I would never be an elementary school teacher or a boy scout leader or babysit alone with a kid or have a closed-door meeting with a female subordinate or student or pick up a female hitchhiker, I would never spend any time with a solo female traveler. Why risk it? She’s on her own, she-is-woman-watch-her-roar. And the odds of any male offering to help her being a predator thus go up.

What an insufferable dumbass you are, Steve Sailer. Anglo-Saxons are the biggest rapists and murderers ever. How many Amerindian and black girls were raped and killed by Anglo-Saxons in North America? How many in the African and Asian colonies of Britain? Even Thomas Jefferson was a serial rapist and rumored to have fathereed children from his black slave girls. How many little Chinese girls were sold into sex slavery to rich English perverts in Hong Kong and Cingapure during the haydays of the British Empire? How many Indian girls were taken from their parents by the English colonial governors of India and raped?

You point out petty crimes committed by non-whites against white women, while you Anglos-Saxon SOBS committed, historically, organized theft, rape and murder on a an unfathomable scale that vastly surpasses any crimes committed by non-whites against the precious pink vaginas of your mothers and sisters.

Your entire argument in a nutshell: “We Anglos are better than those non-whites because we give more freedom and respect to *our* women, because we keep higher levels of peace in *our* societies, because we kill very little of *our* racial kin and keep order in *our* societies.”

Of course, let’s just ignore the mass rape and brutality committed by Anglos against non-Anglo women, the masive wars, invasions and murder on a genocidal scale that Anglos committed throughout the World for the profits of their industries and banks, the massive genocide of non-Anglos, and the mass disorder and debt slavery that Anglos have bestowed on much of the World and that only China and Russia have any sort of power to oppose.

Like a bumd puppy, you say:” See, we are really respectful of women, and orderly and nice…to other Anglos. Since only Anglos matter, that makes us good people.”

I have never in my life contemplated selfishness, and repulsive levels of callousness on this scale. Anglos-Saxons truly are the biggest pieces of shit on Earth.

You put all the crimes committed by non-whites and it does not add up to even a fraction of 1% of the crimes committed by Anglo-Saxons. Do you hear me, Steve Sailer?! Not even a fraction of 1%.

Not to mention Western countries are full of non-Western people at the moment.

  31. Remember, white males are the most violent and rape-prone people because of all the toxic masculinity in America. As we well know, all non-white people are unfairly victimized and stigmatized because of racism. Logically, the safest places to be are where there aren’t white males… right?

I honestly wonder how many people (especially women) believe this, and so let their guard down when in different countries. Personally, whenever I travel, I don’t trust anyone until I have very good reasons to—always be polite, but never gullible.

  32. The National Institute for Women, a government ministry, pointed to the murders of foreigners last summer in a statement to illustrate the issue: “We are faced with the fact that, beyond the damage it may cause to the image of the country, they are clear examples of the serious situation of violence against women, which has its most brutal expression in femicide.”

This is the first time I’ve seen the word “femicide,” but I have a feeling it won’t be the last.

I have watched Steves before and find some of his travel tips useful. But what annoys me about him is that he spends almost all of his time on European excursions and somehow never seems to show the viewers the extent of the third world invasion of Europe. Watching his shows makes it seems like Europe is still Europe, and the only diversity I see are Chinese tourists he occasionally films.

But it is not as though Rick doesn’t understand the concept of bringing in an alien population. I once saw his travel episode on Estonia. And he pointed out how under Soviet rule ethnic Russians were brought in, and how today those Russians remain a problem. Here is the quote from the video he uses.

“The plantation of people, as it seems is always the case when governments move people for political purposes, leaves a poorer and struggling ethnic minority. And their reluctance to assimilate leaves long term social challenges .”

    Ya think?

So clearly he and other liberals know that diversity has down sides. Yet in all the episodes I watched, I only saw him bring it up in regards to Russians in Estonia. Maybe he does have some episodes that show the demographic transformation of Europe, but I haven’t seen them.

According to their books there are big differences in how female travelers are treated depending on the country

I can tell you from firsthand experience that, indeed, unaccompanied female travelers are treated different in different parts of the world.

In Western Europe* and East Asia (esp. Japan and South Korea), females traveling alone are usually quite safe. Even in southern Europe, they might encounter some “forwardness” from young menfolk, but rarely anything violent. Africa, Middle East, South Asia, and Latin America are very different and Western (and increasingly East Asian) women who travel alone are sometimes accosted and assaulted.

*Excepting immigrants from Africa, Middle East, South Asia, and Latin America.

In my travels overseas, I occasionally ran into Western women going about alone or in small groups (with no men) in not-so-welcoming areas, and I always marveled at their naïve audacity. “But for the grace of God go they…” type of a thing. Or, as a friend of mine would say, too much “fat, happy, and dumb” back home.

The New York Times pressures Western nations to absorb dangerous wogs, in part by relentlessly character-assassinating any who resist – and damaging them by any means at hand until they do.

Then they demonize white Western women who exhibit a prudent and completely-natural reluctance to be alone or among said dangerous wogs, in part by humiliating any who survive such encounters as racist bubblebrains (“beckies”) afraid of the Real World.

Those sad cases who swallow the Times’ maliciously-deceitful propaganda, to their eternal regret, are then used as statistical fodder for the next round of lies (like, ferinstance, violent episodes just as likely to occur in France, Italy and Germany as in the developing world) before their carcasses are turned over to Joe Biden for final processing into Race Traitor Slurry (women have been suffering in the white man’s culture of rape).

The lesson? Simple! Never confuse the Pulitzer Prize with some respectable award fairly earned, like the Grammies or the Golden Globes. Rick Steves’ Europe, and really all White Americans’ Europe, is a series of fraternal, smiling, postcard-like ethnostates.

Come to think of it, this must be the source of his show’s popularity: Pitching a product to a receptive audience. (Who would want to watch a travel show featuring leering Muslim malle roustabouts, or semi-criminal Blacks in the ban·lieue? No one.)

Steves is a left-winger of some kind, but in the grand tradition of actions speaking louder than words, it does look like he is emotionally committed to a White Europe, a commitment that forms a core of his personal identity and likely that of his children too.

I would go so far as to say that it is only when the “Rick Steveses” of Western mankind start openly breaking the anti-White race taboo-consensus that we win. All it would take would be one (at first) Rick Steves-like figure to use the same language he used about Soviet settlers in post-1945 Estonia, but about Muslims and Blacks in today’s Western Europe. If such a figure is not quickly crushed, our own “1989” (political liberation) is next. Simply naming the problem, calmly but firmly, can cause a series of events that topples the taboo — if not successfully suppressed (“Richwined”) quickly.

To the contrary, I’m glad Steves hasn’t focused on the demographic invasion of Europe (though I haven’t seen recent episodes—maybe he does now?) — the strongly implicit pro-autochthonous visuals and tone of the show through the years is like a ‘liberal White Nationalist’ ideation of what Europe is and should be—problematic, no doubt, for future (and present) revisionists—“Europe was never white!” “There was no white culture!”

Of course it’s dangerous for women to travel alone in third-world countries, and of course we will argue endlessly about exactly how dangerous it is.

As usual, the media will miss the bigger story, which is the profound sadness and immense psychological damage wrought by a culture in which it is seen as normal for young women to take extended solo trips around the globe.

There are few things more depressing than the thought of a 20-something woman roughing it alone in Thailand or Patagonia, when she should be spending time with her family and loved ones. Women who engage in solitary travel are either pathological or demoralized by a culture of radical individualism.

Western women will not find what they are looking for in some Mongolian yurt. Not happiness or meaning or self-actualization. What they will find instead is loneliness and eventually, the feeling that they wasted their best years.

I can think of only two famous examples and neither were in East Asia (which could be as brutal as any other place to poor girls without any white help) or with children: Burton purrs somewhere in his Pilgrimage that an Arab house host accorded him a slave, but this could be boasting, and anyway it was the local practice and not something Burton did on his own; and the Afghan mess being kicked off supposedly by Alexander Burnes not being able to keep his honorable member inside the Kabul citadel, but that was consensual assignations with adult women.
Some of the later Rajs got a bit corrupt but again along established local lines.
Homosexuality in North Africa and Arabia on the other hand is a different story.
There is a fictitious Hong Kong odalisque sold to a white master in Trevanian’s novel Shibumi, but she’s a highly intelligent and cultured courtesan accepted as a wife.
The television show The Shield has an episode about a pedo pipeline in LA’s Koreatown: all of the customers are fat white bastard octopuses, but this is obviously the result of Current Year fiction writing diktats, and any white slimeball who decided to try it in real life would probably find justice instead.
Chinese people are not kind to strange men who appear to be after their women. The standard advice, in books about meeting a foreign girl overseas, in the Chinese case used to be Don’t.
About a year ago there was an outraged Muslim public personality whining on Twitter about what had happened to a Pakistani who done something to a Chinese girl and was now being badly beaten in a street by her father and brother, according to the Muslim celeb, just because he was brown.

Non-Muslims tend to exact vengeance on the outside perpetrators, up to and including an unmarked grave. I don’t generally hear of non-Muslims killing their own women even if they eloped with men unacceptable to their clan/tribe/ethnic group, let alone were assaulted by such men. Florence when I was there in 1980 was almost as bad.

The model dressed to the 9s, walked down the street, then went around the block and walked down the street again, driving the Italian men mad.

The model went home to America, married a nice American boy, then divorced him, and went back to Italy and found herself an Italian second husband. In 2011 she endorsed Italian men:

Increasingly, “wherever they may be” includes alone in foreign countries.

Gee I dunno. This seems like a far-fetched statement. How could this possibly be true? Can I see that evidence?

Jessica Nabongo, 34, is on a mission to become the first black woman to visit every country in the world. Born in Detroit, she has been to 158 so far — 54 of them alone — and hopes to complete her journey in October.

Ms. Nabongo acknowledged that “we tell women what not to do to avoid being attacked instead of telling men not to attack women.”

Hearing the news that Ranking Roger of the 1980s ska band English Beat and General Public had died of cancer at 56, I thought, wow, I didn’t realize he was only 17 in 1980 when the Beat put out their amazing “I Just Can’t Stop It” album. The best concert I ever saw was the English Beat opening for the enlarged Talking Heads in Pasadena in October 1980 on their Remain in Light tour. David Byrne was ecstatic about how perfect the concert was and brought Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger out for an encore with the Heads.

I watched a bunch of videos of the English Beat’s hit songs and realized that the Richard Spencer-looking white guy Dave Wakeling really carried both the English Beat and General Public creatively.

For example, here’s senior statesman Pete Townshend of The Who’s cover of the English Beat’s “Save It for Later:”

And here’s Pearl Jam’s live cover:

But the white singer-songwriter Wakeland was 7 years older than the black “hype man” Ranking Roger, whose job was to dance around with a tambourine and get the audience fired up, which Ranking Roger was really good at. Madness also had a hype man, an extremely Irish-looking guy who danced around without having to play an instrument.

Watching all these videos of the English Beat, I’d say Ranking Roger was about the #5 member, behind Wakeling, the guitar and bass players who went on to form 2/3 of Fine Young Cannibals with the mulatto falsetto singer with the Richar Nixon hairline, and the wonderful 50ish Jamaican saxophone player Saxa and the drummer. On the other hand, the 3 black guys in the band saved the 3 white guys from turning it into Gary Numan’s Tubeway Army.

But what a band it was. From 1980-1983 the English Beat toured America relentlessly, opening for all the cool superstar bands like The Police, The Pretenders, The Clash, and The Talking Heads, and in 1983 having REM open for them. Everybody who was cool could tell that the EB was an awesome band … except the public, who never much warmed to them. So in 1983 they split up, and divided into General Public and Fine Young Cannibals, who eventually each had a couple of quality hit singles.

I wonder if modern contrivances like Uber and AirBnB are part of the problem. Once upon a time to get hold of a NYC taxi medallion, you needed to be legal and you became the owner of a small business. London taxi drivers had to pass a rigorous test, now made obsolete by GPS, https://london-taxi.co.uk/the-knowledge/ . As the rent paid by travelers approaches the costs of operation little things like being able to pay a top quality night man to at least look threatening become unaffordable for the small businessman. AirBnBs often are located in ‘safe’ neighborhoods, so why even have a night man? Don’t expect much from you Uber driver, who unlike the old taxi medallion system, has nothing invested in the Uber system.

You get what you pay for, eventually.

A long time ago, my wife noticed that on Rick’s travel TV shows, in every city Rick toured, Rick would have a “local guide” to help him out. Usually Rick and the local guide would be depicted having dinner (with wine) at a small, charming local restaurant after seeing the sights. And this was the kicker – the guide was always female, much younger than Rick and reasonably attractive (at least compared to Rick). Not long after she noticed, I noticed that Rick had recently divorced his wife.

The Israeli article isn’t that good – it’s just a normal, factual presentation that you would expect from professional journalists doing their job. If this was an article about traffic deaths or worker safety, you would be able to find articles in the Western press that were just as well written and researched.

BUT, because it touches the third rails of race and immigration, we get Pravda level treatment in the Western press – the yield per hectare of the beet harvest in the Ukraine this year matches the levels of France!

Huh. In 1991 I sold a piece to the NYT travel section. This was a bad thing for the NYT to do because getting paid for writing is a real kick and so I naturally sent a lot more stuff. I did sell one more piece that same year, but of course that was just luck. Anyway, among the many pieces that did not suit the editors was one about hitchhiking. Reasons for rejection were almost always given, and in this case I was told the NYT did not want to be seen as encouraging an activity that might be illegal. Which, on Interstates, it would be. This was silly but I saw no point in arguing.

It was with only a mild sense of injustice that I found, some years later, on that same Sunday endpaper, a contribution about hitchhiking. And from a woman! And I think she’d actually thumbed in Africa. Where, perhaps, it’s not illegal.

That is to say they are bound to no constraints in their interactions with you, and thus hair-dragging is back on the menu. Presumably a Persian woman wouldn’t have been subjected to such group molestation. But Europeans can not be Persian, even when so foolish to think Persians can be European.

So because this dizzy Dutch girl has been indoctrinated to embrace a false premise, she places herself in physical jeopardy out of the belief that western sexual protections extend beyond the range of western men. They do not–as residents of Malmo could attest

Africans are still more prone to the magical thinking that Europe largely abandoned during the Enlightenment.

Magical thinking is the idea that the mind affects reality and what is believed is therefore true.
There is a video of a mixed race South African college girl denouncing White Man’s science and giving as an example the argument that White science can’t explain the fact that a witch doctor can call a lightning bolt out of a clear blue sky onto an enemy many miles away. The rebuttal of course is that they can’t, and it’s never happened. To her mind though, the simple belief that it is true is valid evidence supporting it.

Sadly magical thinking has re-infected much of the West. Progs have a vision of an idealized reality and anything that helps achieve that reality is the “real” truth even if factually false. Hence, race is a social construct, humans are perfectable, etc. Not factually correct, but if everyone is forced to act as if they are, then eventually they will be and the higher truth will triumph. Just another symptom of a degenerate civilization that is in the process of dying and being superseded by gimlet-eyed realists like the Chinese.

  165. “The number of female solo travelers has skyrocketed, but amid Instagram-worthy escapades are tales of violence and death, raising questions about how the world is greeting women who travel alone”

Some women travel alone to find love and companionship. That’s the idea of the German movie “Paradise Love”. It tells the story of a 50-year-old Austrian white woman who travels to Kenya as a sex tourist. This movie, I kid you not, is available in some public libraries. I saw perhaps half of this movie that was rented by a 60 year old White female.

    The plot;
“50-year-old Austrian woman Teresa is on holiday in a beach resort in Kenya. With the encouragement of other middle-aged women at the resort, she encounters younger men and has sex with them. At the same time, she worries whether they really find her attractive, and she often expresses concerns about her age, weight and appearance. Although the men profess love for her, some from the first moment they see her, she is wary at first. The men persist, calling her “Schatz” (treasure) and “love,” but ultimately they are soliciting her money. The importance of these “sugar mama” tourists is evident when the women leave the resort and are constantly solicited and approached by groups of men who profess their love in German and English”

50 year old white fat woman (not that there is any thing wrong with being fat) doesn’t get love and attention from Austrian men and goes to Africa to seek that love. There are actual sex scenes in the movie and itz surprising to me that this could be rented at a neighborhood library. No one was killed in the movie but the white woman forked over some money for the pleasure of Mudsharking.

The Moslems have at least one good idea of not letting women advertise their bodies and walking around un-escorted. The movie propaganda machine has done a good job of convincing the modern women of how strong and powerful they are.

These popular vacation spots are death traps for Americans

But some intrepid explorers just can’t be deterred. When the US State Department issued a warning against visiting Saudi Arabia, visitation by Americans spiked by nearly 12 percent. And journeyers such as Andy McGinlay, who was quoted in The Post last year about his travel habits, practically fetishize high-risk tourism. “I never feel more alive than I do when I step off the plane into some far-flung war zone or despotic country,” McGinlay said. “It’s a dangerous cocktail of adrenaline and the sense that I’m going somewhere nobody else has the balls to — I live for this feeling.”

Young wealthy English men and women (and most of us are “wealthy” by historical standards) began traveling on the “Grand Tour” as early as the 17th century. However, such travelers were always accompanied by family members, servants, chaperones, etc. and never allowed to travel alone, especially not females.

In general, I think it’s a great idea to learn about foreign cultures and to explore the cultural and natural treasures of the world, especially the Western world – there’s nothing wrong with that. However, it IS wrong (unsafe) for single women to travel alone, especially to third world countries. Such women should travel in groups, preferably on organized tours but at a minimum with a group of friends that includes at least 1 male. This does not entirely eliminate the risk of attack but it reduces it greatly.

Keep in mind however, that many young women who undertake such trips do so EXPRESSLY so that they can meet and have sex with locals or with fellow tourists (or with brown men that they pick up at European bars, etc.) Such women would view having chaperones as an old fashioned and unwelcome crimp on their lifestyle. So these deaths are just another case of women wanting to have it both ways – to be able to act like men and yet to receive the special protections traditionally afforded to women.

The Amanda Knox case was absolutely crazy in that it was freakin’ obvious that the murderer was the African drug dealer and not the American goodwhite vegan college girl (I don’t know whether Knox was an actual vegan but she had that kind of profile). Maybe it was some kind of Freudian displacement or projection that they had to pin in the American or the Italian version of the Great White Defendant.

A couple of factors added to this – first, as so often happens everywhere, the police formulated a (cockamamie) theory of the case and decided to pin guilt on someone (in this case Knox) and once they had developed this idée fixe, no amount of facts or evidence could ever budge them from this – any further evidence uncovered would just get twisted around in their mind to mean that Knox was EVEN MORE guilty even if it pointed in the opposite direction. Backing away from your original theory causes you to lose face or something.

Second, the Italian tabloid press (prompted as you say by the desire to have a story – dog bites man is not a story) took a dislike to Knox and made her into a witchlike character that everyone hated. They invented the total fiction that Knox was sexually aroused and delighted by Kercher’s gruesome murder rather than fainting and weeping and rending her garments as a proper Italian female would do in such situations (watch any Italian opera for the expected behavior) – this obviously meant that she was guilty. The fact that she was American maybe made her easier to hate.

That’s a very good question. How many? How many, for real, outside of Hollywood? I’m not saying all these things did not and do not happen (aside from the claim about Thomas Jefferson – there is no evidence that he was a rapist, much less a serial rapist). But what are your real statistics for conluding that the Angle-Saxons are the biggest perpetrators of these crimes? I really want to know.

I’m no fan of the British or American Empires, but it is irrefutable who have murdered the most people in this world. That is, statists, of all flavors, all religions, and all nationalities. The atheistic Communists, of course, lead the numbers by a wide margin.

In the case of Estonia, and Germans. In most of E. Europe from the Baltics to the Balkans, some combination of the local peasants and the educated classes and clergy and the landowners and the merchant class and the government bureaucrats were from different ethnic groups – various combinations of the “indigenous” locals plus Germans, Russians, Poles and Jews depending on where you were and when (plus Muslims in the Balkans). And with some gypsies sprinkled in for seasoning. The peasants would speak the local dialect (which was sometimes not even considered a language, at least not one worth writing down) but the educated classes would speak the prestige language or the language of the rulers (in the case of Estonia and the other Baltics, German although the Russian tried to impose Russian in the 19th c.) and the Jews would speak Yiddish. The pure mono-ethnic nation state where everyone is of the same ethnicity and religion and speaks only the indigenous peasant language is a very recent development – ethnic nationalism really got going in the 19th century as an aspiration but the reality was only made possible by the ethnic cleansing of WWII, which cleared out not only the Jews but the Germans from everywhere and the Poles from Ukraine and Lithuania, etc. Followed by even more ethnic cleansing upon the dissolution of Yugoslavia.

I’m gonna guess that incitement to mass riot based on false pretenses qualifies as a capital offense there. Regardless, I expect the fact that the ratio of executions* to homicides in China (20%) vs that stateside (0.2%) is highly relevant. When death penalty abolitionists say the death penalty isn’t a deterrent they presumably mean the 0.2% rate, after an average of 20 years of appeals after arrest. In China, the odds (20%) are far more daunting for accused murderers, on top of which the time after arrest to execution (or acquittal), including appeals, is perhaps 3 years. Between the 100x Chinese ratio vs the US in terms of executions to homicides and the rapid execution of convicted murderers, I expect even fight escalation is affected, i.e. gangs may seek to injure to deter rivals, but they studiously avoid anything that might lead to fatal injuries and hence murder charges.

    * The assumption here is that, while many crimes are capital offenses in China, the vast majority of executions there relate to homicides. Even in notorious food adulteration cases like the melamine powder-baby formula scandal, only a literal handful of culprits were executed, despite its widespread impact and the (possibly under-counted) deaths of 6 babies and the hospitalization of hundreds of thousands.

Because it’s all relative, isn’t it? Paris may seem like an African slum to a European who remembers what France was like 30 years ago, but to an American who lives in New York, DC or LA, Paris will still seem fairly white, and your average German city is still far more European than any city in the US. Turks and Lebanese probably read as “white” to most Americans anyway. The only city in Europe that really has American levels of “vibrancy” is probably London, but even there the blacks you run into on the tube or on the street are nowhere near as threatening as blacks in downtown Philadelphia or Chicago. Actually blacks in London are often less threatening than the angry white working class kids.

The Boy Wonder sous chef’s name was Craig Wollam. What is amazing (in this internet age) is that after the TV show went off the air, Craig disappeared without a trace. I don’t know if he changed his name out of shame or what, but there doesn’t seem to be any mention of him anywhere after 1997 – zippo, zip, nada. If you google for (for example) the guest pastry chefs that Julia Child had on her “Baking with Julia” show of the same period, almost all of them have ample paper trails (some, such a Martha Stewart, went on to even greater fame) but Craig disappears into the black hole (as do all of the aired re-runs of the show though I think there are some on YouTube)

Baking with Julia (still seen in re-runs) was a clever solution to the problem that Julia Child was much beloved by her PBS audience and still a ratings draw but was, in her mid-80s, approaching senility and no longer able to travel or to carry a cooking show on her own. The solution was to bring on a series of guest bakers who would do all of the actual work in the kitchen of her house in Cambridge. They would drag Julia downstairs and she would stand there peering over their shoulders (at 6’2″ although a bit hunchbacked she still towered over many of them). Occasionally she would be given some harmless job forming a little piece of dough into a ball or she would ask insightful (I assume scripted) questions now and then as she emerged from her daze – “Do you think that this would be good served with whipped cream?” but mostly she just stood there and let the chefs do the heavy lifting. They really pulled it off pretty well although who knows how much tape they left on the editing room floor.

Two men have been charged with rape after four British schoolgirls and their teacher were held at gunpoint and sexually assaulted during a trip to Ghana.

Ishmael Akyene, 34, of Ghana, and Daniel Akpan, 29, a Nigerian national, were charged with a string of offences and have both been remanded in custody.

The group of UK sixth-form teenagers – who cannot be named for legal reasons – were viciously held at gunpoint and raped in Accra, Ghana’s capital city, on December 8, 2018.

The pupils – made up of boys and girls – as well as two teachers, travelled to Ghana for a pre-Christmas holiday and to get a glimpse of how the local inhabitants live.

But shortly after their arrival, a number of armed men entered their accommodation and held the group at gunpoint and the female victims were subjected to serious sexual assaults.

Police in the UK assisting the West African country’s authorities in their investigation confirmed Akyene and Akpan had been charged, while local media reported that one other person, said to be their accomplice, is on the run.

‘Two men have been charged as part on an ongoing investigation by police in Ghana, which is being supported by a UK police force’, said a police spokesman.

‘Ishmael Akyene, aged 34 years, a Ghanaian national, has been charged by Ghanaian police with 14 counts of robbery, one count of rape, one count of conspiracy to rape, one count of possession of a firearm, one count of possession of an instrument intended for unlawful entry and one count of money laundering. He has been remanded in custody.

‘Daniel Akpan, aged 29 years, a Nigerian national, has been charged by Ghanaian police with 14 counts of robbery, two counts of rape, one count of conspiracy to rape, one count of possession of a firearm, one count of possession of an instrument intended for unlawful entry and one count of money laundering. He has also been remanded in custody.’

They have pleaded not guilty to all the charges against them, GhanaWeb reported.

The police statement continued: ‘The victims continue to be supported by specially trained police officers, their school and other agencies.

‘Detectives from UK policing will continue to support the Ghanaian authorities as the investigation continues. Work is ongoing to locate an outstanding suspect.’

Unconfirmed reports suggested that a security guard had been shot but UK police were not able to confirm this.

Jesus was just an itinerant preacher to them who committed no crime, but because he got a few Jewish priests hot and bothered, they had him whipped, publicly embarrassed, tortured and killed in what was then the most humiliatingly way possible.

It was said a man could walk across the entire empire and remain unmolested so long as he uttered the words “I am a Roman citizen.”

Reg, I know you know that most male homos don’t desire children. For purposes of edification, I quote the vile André Gide:

I call a pederast the man who, as the word indicates, falls in love with young boys. I call a sodomite (“The word is sodomite, sir,” said Verlaine to the judge who asked him if it were true that he was a sodomist) the man whose desire is addressed to mature men. […]

The pederasts, of whom I am one (why cannot I say this quite simply, without your immediately claiming to see a brag in my confession?), are much rarer, and the sodomites much more numerous, than I first thought. […] That such loves can spring up, that such relationships can be formed, it is not enough for me to say that this is natural; I maintain that it is good; each of the two finds exaltation, protection, a challenge in them; and I wonder whether it is for the youth or the elder man that they are more profitable.

I haven’t heard of killings but i have seen some pretty nasty pictures of a Cambodian professor that tried a hit and run, was dragged out from his car window and beaten within an inch of his life.
Such primitive law and order may seem barbaric to many westerners but it is undeniably effective compared to my native country where you have to call police and then hope the perpetrator stays in the same spot for 10 minutes, if the response is fast.

Then you should be helping get them ready, not luring them to a grisly death

Stop playing dumb. It’s really not a good look. The whole point is that women need to make better choices about their destinations.

Different women get ready for motherhood in different ways. I never was much of a traveler. I found adventure in reading and exploring ideas.

Calm down, fam. I agree that the gay lobby is annoying as all fuck (Google ‘Panti Bliss’ for information on my local variant). I know gays who agree with this, too.

This is what I was thinking of:

The sex isn’t the sole reason for the travel, but the thrill of anonymously banging exotic men is certainly part of the attraction.

The more passive or timid women stay at home and are perhaps looking for marriage partners. The more revved up women (think adventuress) like to travel and get their kicks in foreign lands. Getting it on with male talent abroad is in their conscious or sub-conscious mind. They might be headed to the third world or on up to the first world to have their fun.

With all the rumors swirling around about her being a tranny, they would love it/her in Afghanistan.

Is this guy for real? The statistics are there for anyone to see how low the rape statistics are for white males in the US vs non-white males. As for bringing Thomas Jefferson into the picture and saying that girls were sold into sex slavery in Hong Kong, India and Singapore, this guy’s really scraping the bottom of the barrel for rumors and innuendo. This Nick Diaz character has never heard of how to back up what you are saying with facts.

  270. @L Woods

White women are not worth a scintilla of financial or emotional investment. Deal with it boomers. The rest of us have had to.

Take it up with Atilla the Hen.

I’m pretty impressed that far lefties Rahm Emmanuel (mayor of Chicago, former Obama chief os staff) and David Axelrod (Obama campaign manager) have both come out against this decision to let Smollett off the hook, in very harsh terms.

You’d almost think they’re in favor of law and order.

    so fake

i guess they think the avg American really is that dumb
