From the New York Times:

Cubs Owners Reel After Emails of Family Patriarch Come Out

By Kevin Draper, Feb. 5, 2019

Major League Baseball and the Chicago Cubs moved to distance themselves from one of their own Tuesday, after the news outlet Splinter published a cache of racist emails sent and received by Joe Ricketts, the billionaire whose family owns the Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field.

Many of the published emails, sent between 2009 to 2013, focused on a fear of Muslims and contained conspiracy theories about former President Barack Obama. The false assertion that Obama, who identifies as Protestant, was Muslim and born outside the United States were prevalent in right-wing politics during his presidency.

In one email, Ricketts wrote to somebody identified only as S.V. that “Christians and Jews can have a mutual respect for each other to create a civil society,” but “Islam cannot do that.” He went on to write that, “we cannot ever let Islam become a large part of our society,”

Ricketts is a white male so he is not allowed to have an opinion on the future of America. As everybody knows, Muslims who don’t live here yet Are Who We Are. We must let Islam become a large part of our society just because some people worry that that wouldn’t be a good idea.

and that “Muslims are naturally my (our) enemy.”

Tom Ricketts continued: “My father is not involved with the operation of the Chicago Cubs in any way.”

In other sports leagues, offensive behavior has led to owners selling their franchises. Donald Sterling was forced to sell the Los Angeles Clippers of the N.B.A. after a tape of him making racist comments became public. Sterling was banned from the league for life. …

For Joe Ricketts, this is not the first time his political activities have harmed the Cubs. He is a major funder of conservative causes and gave $1 million to a political action committee supporting Donald Trump during his presidential campaign….

In 2012, The New York Times reported that Joe Ricketts was considering spending $10 million on a campaign that would attack Obama’s connection to Reverend Jeremiah Wright, a former spiritual adviser who Obama denounced during the 2008 presidential campaign. At the same time, the Cubs were asking Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel for $300 million in public money, as part of a $500 million renovation of Wrigley Field and the surrounding area.

Emanuel, who served in the White House as Obama’s chief of staff, was reportedly “livid” over the proposed campaign, and stopped talking to Cubs officials about the renovation shortly thereafter. The Ricketts family ultimately financed the renovations privately. Those renovations are ongoing.

In a statement Tuesday, Emanuel condemned the emails. “Joe Ricketts once said that I do not share his values. Truer words were never spoken,” he said. “The ignorance and intolerance he has espoused are not welcome in Chicago. I am proud not to share his bigoted opinions. Hate has no home in Chicago.”

After the NYT reporter hung up, Mayor Emanuel reiterated:

“Hate has no home home in Chicago. I am proud to say, however, that anti-Muslim hate has a home in my old house in suburban Wilmette, IL, where my father Dr. Benjamin M. Emanuel still lives. Dad was a member of Menachem Begin’s Irgun militia in 1947-48, or as we like to say back home in Wilmette, the Good Old Days. When I was appointed Obama’s White House chief of staff in 2008, my father explained about my role to the Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv, ‘Obviously he’ll influence the president to be pro-Israel. Why wouldn’t he? What is he, an Arab? He’s not going to be mopping floors at the White House.’ My father taught me everything I know about the utility of, uh, “population transfers.” Do you realize who used to live right next to the Gold Coast at Cabrini-Green, driving down property values? You’d be amazed. We bulldozed Cabrini-Green and affirmatively furthering fair housinged the welfare moms’ asses out to Dubuque, Iowa like Dad and Mr. Begin did to the Muslims back in the 1940s. Then we got Obama to sue Dubuque for not welcoming them! My dad really appreciated that topping of chutzpah. My brother Ari, co-chairman of the William Morris Agency, did too. It reminded him of how he stabbed Mike Ovitz in the back. No, I don’t know about the opinion of my brother Ezekiel, the famous ethicist. Nobody in our family ever listens to him. I mean, when you are mayor of Chicago or chairman of a top Hollywood talent agency, who has time for ethics? So Ezekiel just gives more lectures on how the rest of the world has to behave better. It’s a living, I guess …”

So well done, in fact, that when I saw the headline, I thought it pertained to that "Empire" actor whose assault claim has sunk to credibility nil and about which we of course hear no more. Time for a new racist villain ... preferably out of the Cubs' left-field bullpen.
    , @SMK
"Hate" -i.e., criticizing and telling the truth about Islam and opposing an invasion of Muslims and it's pernicious consequences- "has no home in Chicago." Nor does criticizing and telling the truth about blacks and Mestizos/Amerindians. But black hatred of whites, Muslim hatred of "infidels" and women of all races, and "Hispanic"/"Latino" hatred of "non-Hispanic whites," has a home in Chicago, the home of Calypso Louis and the Nation of Islam and the Rev. Wright and Luis Gutierrez, the drooling, foaming little Mestizo, who spits when he rages and hates. Their hatred, no matter how irrational, psychotic, murderous, and genocidal, is just and good and righteous, condoned and encouraged, often even praised. It's permissible, indeed peremptory, to hate the "haters" if the "haters" as defined by the left are white and non-leftist, "the basket of deplorables," "racist," "sexist," "misogynistic," "xenophobic," "Islamophobic," "homophobic," etc. To Hillary, apparently, black, Mestizo/Amerindian, and Islamic males aren't "sexist" (whatever that mean precisely), "misogynistic," and "homophobic." And they're not "racists," of course, since only whites can be "racists" and racial "supremacists."
  2. He’s absolutely right. Jews, apart from left-wing activist nutjobs and legal-privilege-claiming orthomafia, are model citizens in non-Jewish societies. Muslims are totalitarians who do not want to coexist.

'He’s absolutely right. Jews, apart from left-wing activist nutjobs and legal-privilege-claiming orthomafia, are model citizens in non-Jewish societies. Muslims are totalitarians who do not want to coexist.'

    Bullshit.

and that “Muslims are naturally my (our) enemy.”

Count me among the unimpressed with the "mutual respect" shown by Jews to the American Christians who so generously provided a prosperous and free nation for them to live in.

(The "respect" level seems to be actually going downhill from "White Christmas" to Nick Sandmann in my lifetime. Though our resident mischling Lot assures me they'll be on team white ... any generation now!)

With that caveat, how can anyone who calls themselves educated seriously argue about the Islam part of this statement?

The Ashkenazi Jews have at least been a non-integrating tribe riding along with Western Christian civilization. The Muslims have been the West direct history enemy continually attacking for the pretty much the last 1300 years.

Only through the intrepid defense of our great Christian heroes do we have the glories of the Western Civilization and all that came with it--republican government, rule-of-law, modern science, industrial development and ... all flowing into it, our incredible prosperity.

Anyone who thinks it's "ok", "no big deal" to let Muslims into the West is simply a complete an utter bozo. Or--of course--a traitor to it.

  3. Muslims are who you are, goyim

  4. Railing about Muslims is yet another boomercon cop out. It’s a red herring and a coward’s way out of criticizing those that are actually responsible for the overwhelming preponderance of the West’s misfortune.

Where did they get that? It's got some good stuff in it. I especially like this talking point:

Trans Americans serve proudly in our military, defending us at home and abroad. These patriots deserve our gratitude and our support, but @realdonaldtrump wants to ban them from service. We must stand for freedom. Trans rights are human rights. #StateOfTheHuman #WeWontGoBack

I love how they use the fact that if one person of any category has served in the US military, it conveys a sort of legitimacy to every member of that group. Yet if we are keeping track of who has served over the course of 244 or so years, it's clear no group has contributed more than evil, White racists. Imagine rewriting the above democrat talking point with the one below. Which one would be truer?

Racists serve proudly in our military, defending us at home and abroad. These patriots deserve our gratitude and our support, but @democrats and cucks want to ban them from service. We must stand for freedom. Racist rights are human rights. #StateOfTheHuman #WeWontGoBack

If these are not just some aspiring pol operative/graphic artist aspirational effort, what is interesting about them is how low-effort they are. There is nothing new nor insightful about them, just tired, retread talking points, clickbait-tier graphics.

OTOH, Trump pretty much phoned in the SOTU, so it seems everyone's just going through the motions now.

Oh really? Looks to me like most of the Middle East was a lot safer and stabler(and even civil) before Jews and Christian Cucks ganged up together to mess up Iraq, Libya, and Syria.

'American Muslims appear to be pretty chill, though–or at least most of them.'

    , @nebulafox
That's true. Our Muslim populace isn't perfect-Dearborn, Somalis in Minnesota-but on the whole, it is one Europe would seriously envy. But there are reasons for this:

    1) There aren't that many of them, and they are pretty geographically dispersed.

    2) Those that are here usually better educated, skilled, and more socioeconomically affluent than native-born Americans. Simply put, America's "problem demographic" lies elsewhere. For a host of reasons ranging from geography to culture to the immigration system to welfare benefits, there is little incentive for an underclass Muslim to choose the US over Europe. Underclass Salvadorans have little choice: it is either go north or stay home. Underclass Mirpuris, Afghans, and Anatolians have way better options for their purposes.

Many of these high-octane value immigrants, though far from all of them (one of my college roommates was a brilliant Pakistani computational physicist who was also a pious, if quietly so, Sunni Muslim) are also modest religious skeptics. It is rarely brought up by the Left that they are usually emigrating to America partially in order to live a more secular lifestyle without fear of the reprisal that would greet them in their native lands. In addition to that, there's a huge contingent of American Muslims who fled Iran in 1979. Many of them were thoroughly secularized due to their experiences, and even the religious Iranian-Americans tend to have absolutely no time for religion in politics in general-and Islamism in particular-as a result of the circumstances in which they ended up in the US.

    3) American culture is still better at assimilation than European cultures generally are. Democrats have been doing everything they can to mess that up in recent times, to the extreme detriment of society as a whole... though to be fair, the GOP isn't exactly helping matters here.

(Going against pretty much everything the self-loathing, "why must these ignorant rubes hold us back from sitting with the cool kids in Western Europe" media would like to believe, American culture is also more genuinely-as opposed to theoretically-accepting. Just ask a postdoc or coder of South Asian or Middle Eastern extraction who has experience of both.)

    , @Roger
The issue is what happens if we "ever let Islam become a large part of our society". I don't see how any non-Moslem could think that would improve the USA. It would be a disaster.

    , @Aardvark
I had noticed quite some years ago that if a world leader is left-wing, the left in this country adores them. However if they had engaged in ethnic cleansing then mysteriously they became right wing, even though they were still socialist in nature. Slobodan Milosevic comes to mind.

So Gov of VA, potential darling of the Democrat party... suddenly became a Republican, according to CNN when they had to break the story about it.

It's as if the lumpen-press said "He's ours!" until he was found to have done something reprehensible in his distant past and then suddenly "He's a Republican!" as if they could disown him...
  11. Steve,

The minute I saw this story I thought it was right up your alley, involving baseball, rich old white men saying racist things, Obama, birtherism, and Rahm Emmanuel’s sanctimony. As a former Chicagoan and White Sox fan, I demand Wrigley Field be closed immediately, razed to the ground, and the pitcher’s mound and outfield heavily salted or at least plowed under. MLB must force the sale of the Cubs franchise from the racist Ricketts (for as you showed with Derek and Conor Daly, the sins of the father will be visitied upon the sons, especially in sports) and the Cubs franchise moved to a more “woke” city like Austin, TX, or Portland, OR. Only then may we begin the racial healing necessary to mend this great nation.

When Sam Harris, as a guest on the Bill Mahrer Show, along with Ben Afleck, described Islam as "the mother lode of bad ideas," Afleck was livid and screamed, "that's racist, man"! Mahrer noted that Islam is a religion, not a race. That's true, of course. People of any race can be Muslims. But virtually all Muslims are nonwhite, i.e. non-European, and thus to criticize and tell the truth about Islam is "racist" as well as "Islamophobic, as is criticism of and opposition to an invasion of Muslims that has blighted the U.S. and harmed the UK and Western Europe far more radically and perniciously, a demographic and cultural transformation that will ultimately destroy what's left of British and European civilization when Muslims become the majority due to continued migration and the equally crucial and irreversibly disparate birthrates of Muslim and European women. And the presence of tens of millions of blacks will make the ruination of the UK and Western Europe all the more catastrophic.

All nonwhite (with the exception of Northeast "Asians") are sacred, the sacred victims of whites and "racism" and "bigotry" and prejudice and discrimination. And their sacredness is commensurate to their awfulness. Thus blacks and Muslims are more sacred than Mestizos and pure "Indios" from Mexico and Central American who, generally, are less awful.

Correct. See neighborhoods and towns where black population percentages rose from 5 to 15 to 30 to 50%. When blacks are 5%, they almost all at least pretend to behave and to value America. American Muslims appear to be pretty chill, though–or at least most of them.

Don't get lulled into complacency. They might seem agreeable when their numbers are 1 percent. But things will change if they approach 10 percent. They might even change at 5 percent. The point is people behave differently as their numbers increase.

Correct. See neighborhoods and towns where black population percentages rose from 5 to 15 to 30 to 50%. When blacks are 5%, they almost all at least pretend to behave and to value America. Long before they get to 50%, most blacks regularly show their seething contempt for whites and all that they see as white culture.

    Mohammedans are the same.

When the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone:

    United States — Muslim 1.0%
    Australia — Muslim 1.5%
    China — Muslim 1%-2%
    Italy — Muslim 1.5%
    Norway — Muslim 1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

    Denmark — Muslim 2%
    Germany — Muslim 3.7%
    United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7%
    Spain — Muslim 4%
    Thailand — Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law:

    France — Muslim 8%
    Philippines — Muslim 5%
    Sweden — Muslim 5%
    Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%
    The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%
    Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris — car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam — Mohammed cartoons):

    Guyana — Muslim 10%
    India — Muslim 13.4%
    Israel — Muslim 16%
    Kenya — Muslim 10%
    Russia — Muslim 10-15%

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

    Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

    Bosnia — Muslim 40%
    Chad — Muslim 53.1%
    Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

    Albania — Muslim 70%
    Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%
    Qatar — Muslim 77.5%
    Sudan — Muslim 70%

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:
    Bangladesh — Muslim 83%
    Egypt — Muslim 90%
    Gaza — Muslim 98.7%
    Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%
    Iran — Muslim 98%
    Iraq — Muslim 97%
    Jordan — Muslim 92%
    Morocco — Muslim 98.7%
    Pakistan — Muslim 97%
    Palestine — Muslim 99%
    Syria — Muslim 90%
    Tajikistan — Muslim 90%
    Turkey — Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of “Dar-es-Salaam”– the Islamic House of Peace — there’s supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:

    Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
    Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
    Somalia — Muslim 100%
    Yemen — Muslim 99.9%

Of course, that’s not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons. “Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world and all of us against the infidel.”

I'm sure there is a lot, but I never researched it.

The issue of course is that as compared to whites, far fewer blacks can pass the AFQT and of those fewer do well enough for demanding technical roles. Still, the military doe have success with some blacks and for them it is a good career option.

Very, very few blacks are capable of succeeding in elite military teams like the SEALs but there have been a few. Oddly enough, it seems that of pictures I've seen of black SEALs most are phenotypically really black, not mulatto.

American Muslims appear to be pretty chill, though--or at least most of them.

That’s true. Our Muslim populace isn’t perfect-Dearborn, Somalis in Minnesota-but on the whole, it is one Europe would seriously envy. But there are reasons for this:

    1) There aren’t that many of them, and they are pretty geographically dispersed.

    2) Those that are here usually better educated, skilled, and more socioeconomically affluent than native-born Americans. Simply put, America’s “problem demographic” lies elsewhere.

In addition to that, there’s a huge contingent of American Muslims who fled Iran in 1979. Many of them were thoroughly secularized due to their experiences, and even the religious Iranian-Americans tend to have absolutely no time for religion in politics in general-and Islamism in particular-as a result of the circumstances in which they ended up in the US.

  62. Comment timed out:

Because the GOP, if left free of the wrath of the base, would be more than happy to toss assimilation aside in order to get as much cheap labor as possible. Unassimilated labor remains cheap labor, unassimilated mass immigration means further social fragmentation and weakening of civil bonds and institutions, which means further power for the Job Creators. The H1-B visa program is a good example of this in action, as is the repeated attempts of the Bush clan to further intertwine the USA and Mexico economically so that they could have things more like their Mexican counterparts.

Yes, the Democrats, their donors, and the flatulent Cultural Left remain the main culprit on this particular issue. But let’s not pretend that the GOP dominated Senate is interested in restricting immigration any more than they are interested in ceasing our idiotic wars of choice in the Middle East. Thanks to the radioactive legacy of Bush II, their chances of installing their kind of GoodThinking Republican in the White House are marginal, but they will still buck any sort of populist presence in the White House.

It’s not enough to elect the President, you’ve got to also got to staff the civil service, Congress, etc: and this is an area where the populist right tends to be weak.

Cuomo (pauses to spit on the floor) - like Obama before him - is proof positive that there is no more dangerous legislative terrorist loose than the Re-Elected Democrat.

As bad as you think they are the first time around; it's the second term that's the toxic one. The mask of bipartisan affability is torn off and flung to the ground, and the psychopathic devotion to the Soros creed - to say nothing of the contemptuous hatred of the white electorate, particularly those with several children who don't swallow the program unquestioningly - emerges. The Lame Duck is now a thing of the past, replaced by the Suicide Bomber.

Given that every child in America has been warped by the schools for nearly two generations now (at the naive insistence of their parents, determined that the child "get an education" and "make something of himself") I'd say, if we are indeed headed for civil war, we hurry it up before we run out of Americans whose allegiance is to the Republic, as opposed to Howard Zinn, Emma Lazarus and "Dr" King.

Do ou happen to know of any material on the combat performance of black troops in Vietnam?

I’m sure there is a lot, but I never researched it.

I’d think that for those troops recruited under the normal AFQT standards it might be OK, but blacks were disproportionately part of “McNamara’s Folly” and for them I’m sure results were dismal.

Oddly enough, it seems that of pictures I’ve seen of black SEALs most are phenotypically really black, not mulatto.

  68. @nebulafox

83. @Jake
Correct. See neighborhoods and towns where black population percentages rose from 5 to 15 to 30 to 50%. When blacks are 5%, they almost all at least pretend to behave and to value America. Long before they get to 50%, most blacks regularly show their seething contempt for whites and all that they see as white culture.

    Mohammedans are the same.

When the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone:

    United States — Muslim 1.0%
    Australia — Muslim 1.5%
    China — Muslim 1%-2%
    Italy — Muslim 1.5%
    Norway — Muslim 1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

    Denmark — Muslim 2%
    Germany — Muslim 3.7%
    United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7%
    Spain — Muslim 4%
    Thailand — Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law:

    France — Muslim 8%
    Philippines — Muslim 5%
    Sweden — Muslim 5%
    Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%
    The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%
    Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris — car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam — Mohammed cartoons):

    Guyana — Muslim 10%
    India — Muslim 13.4%
    Israel — Muslim 16%
    Kenya — Muslim 10%
    Russia — Muslim 10-15%

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

    Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

    Bosnia — Muslim 40%
    Chad — Muslim 53.1%
    Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

    Albania — Muslim 70%
    Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%
    Qatar — Muslim 77.5%
    Sudan — Muslim 70%

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:
    Bangladesh — Muslim 83%
    Egypt — Muslim 90%
    Gaza — Muslim 98.7%
    Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%
    Iran — Muslim 98%
    Iraq — Muslim 97%
    Jordan — Muslim 92%
    Morocco — Muslim 98.7%
    Pakistan — Muslim 97%
    Palestine — Muslim 99%
    Syria — Muslim 90%
    Tajikistan — Muslim 90%
    Turkey — Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of “Dar-es-Salaam”– the Islamic House of Peace — there’s supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:

    Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
    Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
    Somalia — Muslim 100%
    Yemen — Muslim 99.9%

Of course, that’s not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons. “Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world and all of us against the infidel.”

Citation needed. Sure, it works in Iran…oh, wait, those are Muslims, not Christians – never mind.

  86. @J.Ross
He's absolutely right. Jews, apart from left-wing activist nutjobs and legal-privilege-claiming orthomafia, are model citizens in non-Jewish societies. Muslims are totalitarians who do not want to coexist.

In one email, Ricketts wrote to somebody identified only as S.V. that “Christians and Jews can have a mutual respect for each other to create a civil society,” but “Islam cannot do that.” He went on to write that, “we cannot ever let Islam become a large part of our society,”

and that “Muslims are naturally my (our) enemy.”

Count me among the unimpressed with the “mutual respect” shown by Jews to the American Christians who so generously provided a prosperous and free nation for them to live in.

(The “respect” level seems to be actually going downhill from “White Christmas” to Nick Sandmann in my lifetime. Though our resident mischling Lot assures me they’ll be on team white … any generation now!)

Only through the intrepid defense of our great Christian heroes do we have the glories of the Western Civilization and all that came with it–republican government, rule-of-law, modern science, industrial development and … all flowing into it, our incredible prosperity.

Anyone who thinks it’s “ok”, “no big deal” to let Muslims into the West is simply a complete an utter bozo. Or–of course–a traitor to it.

    >The Ashkenazi Jews have at least been a non-integrating tribe riding along with Western Christian civilization.

Historically false. The A Jews released from the ghettos by the French Revolution jumped at the chance to integrate into the world. They were so successful once they had the legal right to compete in the world that they made themselves more hated by competitors than they were hated for religious reasons before their 19th century emancipation. Many of them converted to Christianity. Most did not. Hitler's mother's cancer was unsuccessfully treated by a Jewish doctor. Hitler permitted that doctor to emigrate.

I call myself educated, and I seriously argue with the statement. First off, Muslims have sinned no more than they've been sinned against as far as the attacking goes.

Second, historically Jews have enjoyed much better relations with Muslims than they have with Christians. In fact, they only switched sides when it became apparent that we had become top dog.

'...The strange alliance between Saudi Arab and Zionist Jews, Neo Conservative war mongering Jews...'

This may not be a complete answer, but all are threatened by the sort of Islamic populism we saw in the Arab Spring. In a world with a powerful, revived Islam, Israel becomes a distinct improbability.

Hence all the efforts to nurture and provoke Islamic terrorism and its sequel, Western Islamophobia. At all costs, America and the West in general need to be kept in a state of fear and hate when it comes to Islam, which, speaking for myself, I find about as appealing as Mormonism -- but also about as menacing.

Islam is dull. I like drinking, I like looking at women, and I don't even think God exists, much less that Mohammed is his prophet.

Rahm Emanuel looks like a SS-Sturmbannführer straight out of Central Casting except he's about four inches too short. If I lived in Chitown I'd display a standee of him in full SS (or more fitting perhaps, SA) regalia anywhere I could.

Yep. And if it were not for the fact that public schools are the babysitters of our society, we would close them all. If we did, there would be no more mass shootings at public schools.

Public education is one of the desiderata of Marx's Communist Manifesto. Public education has not served America well.
  97. @AnotherDad

Hitler’s mother’s cancer was unsuccessfully treated by a Jewish doctor. Hitler permitted that doctor to emigrate.

  98. @mmack

Perhaps a Chick-Fil-A can be built at 1060 W. Addison after this all shakes out. Perhaps not.

The Cubs can partner with Subway and Clorox to hold a Jussie Day, making everything OK once again

I highly recommend Unz Review readers read "The Joys of Yiddish" by Leo Rosten - very informative, often funny and tells it like it is with all things Jewish

    Rahm Emanuel is a "Macher"

"The man who could miraculously produce a visa, or provide immigration papers, or get an exit permit for a Jew - a real operator, a real big shot."

I think it doesn't do very much or any good to try to show the hypocrisy of Jews in the USA, Jews in the Diaspora with how they talk and act about Muslim immigration, multi culturalism in Europe, UK, USA, Australia compared to how they talk, act regarding the same in Israel/Palestine.

Jews in the USA, Europe, UK - the West are almost always anti White, pro multiculturalism, even pro mass Muslim immigration to the West. At the same time the same Jews push for Israel as a Jewish ethno state, with strong border walls.

"What's mine is mine, what's yours is multi culturalism".

It's seems insane, more evil and impossible than the worst anti Semite conspiracy theory but it is simply reality that Israel/the Jews and the Saudi Sunni Islamist monarchists are on the same side in everything that matters:

On the same side in Middle East wars, sectarian hatreds slaughters both Sunni Saudi Arabia and Israel/International Jews oppose Iran, Russia, secular Syrian Assad.

Both Saudi Arabia/Israel took ~ 0 Syrian war refugees even though Israel is sitting on a part of Syria the Golan Heights.

Both Saudi Arabia/Israel the Jewish Diaspora insist Europe, UK, USA - the White West must accept unlimited numbers of Muslim migrants - anybody that does, says or even thinks differently is smeared and destroyed as a behind the pale evil White Racist.

Look what just happened to Iowa Rep. King - his crime was talking to mainstream European populist party leaders and admitting to reading Jean Respail's book

    "The Camp of the Saints".

The strange alliance between Saudi Arab and Zionist Jews, Neo Conservative war mongering Jews, Jews for open borders to the USA is best represented by the sham marriage between texting pervert Anthony Wiener and Hillary Clinton's chief of staff a really ugly, nasty Saudi Arabian Huma Abedin....

Its an Indian name. The HS is in the town of Onancock, which is in Accomack County. It was founded in the 17th century. Nice, quiet little town. Not much to do. As far as naming convention, other towns in the area include Wachapreague, Machipongo, Nassawadox, and Kiptopeke. Not much over there but farming and commercial fishing until you get up to Ocean City MD and then the Delaware beaches which is where DC area people go to get sand and sun.

Northam being from that part of VA explains his weird accent. That peninsula (which includes parts of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, hence the name Delmarva) was pretty closed off from the rest of the country until fairly recently. The Bay Bridge-Tunnel (connects the southern end of the peninsula to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area) and the Bay Bridge (connects to the Annapolis area) were opened in 1964 and 1952 respectively. Prior to that the only way onto the peninsula was by boat/plane or by driving down from near Wilmington, DE. For scale as to the remoteness, Onancock is about 170 miles from Wilmington.

I spent a few months working over there in the early 90's (and once had to go to the DMV in Onancock to renew my driver's license). Older folks you'd meet have an unusual and very distinct accent. It’s not like the Baltimore accent where o's are pronounced as a's (e.g. "let’s go down to the ocean" is "lets go danny ocean" or about going to an Orioles (O's) game "let’s go see dem A's) or the more usual Virginia drawl. A linguist might correct me, but my understanding is its a derivation of an 18th century British accent that has evolved on its own, without much outside interference until the bridges and tunnels were built mid-20th century. Somebody living mid-peninsula in say the 1920's was going to be pretty insulated from the rest of the US and accents would be less likely to blend.

A guy like Northam would have grown up watching TV and movies, went to VMI with people from off the peninsula but also have been exposed to lots of older Delmarva folks so his accent is a mashup of Delmarva and basic mid-Atlantic.

Someone interested in regional variations in accents/dialects would be well served to spend time on the islands and peninsulas from the Delmarva to North Carolina's Outer Banks to South Carolina and Georgia's barrier islands. They're distinct both from each other and from the accents on the mainland and the variation is much greater than you'd find in, for example, a similar length of coastline on the west coast. Older outer banks people sound almost like they're from Massachusetts (high tide is "hoi toide") while the Gullah dialects off the Georgia coast are pretty much what Africans learning English 300 years ago might have sounded like.

  111. @Aardvark

    True.

The Wahabbis seem closer to orthodox Judaism because Islam as practiced in the pure, undiluted form of 7th Century Arabia was itself closer to Judaism-or rather, the hybrid Jewish-Christian sects you saw in Arabia around the time of Muhammad, whose experience would have been with them, not the orthodox state religion of the Byzantine Empire. If you read the Qu'ran, you'll find Christians believing all sorts of stuff (both good and bad from the perspective of the author) that would have been considered downright heretical in Constantinople by that time.

Speaking on a wider basis, Islam as practiced by run-of-the-mill Muslims (especially in the era of globalization, which is making orthodox Islam more popular) comes closer to orthodox Judaism than any variant of modern Christianity. Naturally, given the casual and sometimes venomous anti-Semitism of the modern Muslim World, the Muslims themselves would fiercely deny that, but it is the truth. Orthodox Judaism and Islam are entire ways of life: they prescribe all kinds of detailed daily behavior and rituals, from how you clean yourself after sex to what you can and cannot eat. There's not much of an analogue to this elsewhere in the Western World anymore.

(And for all the avowed anti-Islamophobia of liberal Jews in the US, I don't think they'd be too pleased with the comparison, either.)

    >And anyway it wouldn’t explain any Shi’ite extremism. Islam is Islam and Muslim behavior is a function of their numbers.

But in practical terms, there's a major difference between the two: the Shi'ites pose absolutely no realistic threat to the interests of the United States, unlike the Wahhabis. They are outnumbered 7 to 1 in the region, and generally speaking, Shi'a extremism is about local sectarian politics with the occasional assassination of dissident guerillas or foreign ambassadors that the Iranian government doesn't like. Put basically, they keep their nonsense (mostly) in the Middle East where it belongs.

They do pose a threat to the interests of Israel and Saudi Arabia. But not to those of America. And no, contrary to what Lindsey Graham or CNN would like to tell you, those are not the same thing. We have our own oil supplies now, and but for a bunch of senile, spoiled hippies, we'd be using them while building nuclear plants en masse to solve the national security, cost, and environmental issues all in one go for the forseeable future. Everybody else would win: global warming advocates, those who want out of the Middle East, people looking for more affordable energy sources, period.

But virtually all Muslims are nonwhite, i.e. non-European, and thus to criticize and tell the truth about Islam is “racist” as well as “Islamophobic, as is criticism of and opposition to an invasion of Muslims that has blighted the U.S. and harmed the UK and Western Europe far more radically and perniciously, a demographic and cultural transformation that will ultimately destroy what’s left of British and European civilization when Muslims become the majority due to continued migration and the equally crucial and irreversibly disparate birthrates of Muslim and European women. And the presence of tens of millions of blacks will make the ruination of the UK and Western Europe all the more catastrophic.

All nonwhite (with the exception of Northeast “Asians”) are sacred, the sacred victims of whites and “racism” and “bigotry” and prejudice and discrimination. And their sacredness is commensurate to their awfulness. Thus blacks and Muslims are more sacred than Mestizos and pure “Indios” from Mexico and Central American who, generally, are less awful.

“Reverend Jeremiah Wright, a former spiritual adviser who Obama denounced during the 2008 presidential campaign.”

As I recall it, Obama specifically did not denounce that man.

“In his Philadelphia address, Obama stood by his friend. “As imperfect as he may be,” he said of Wright a month ago, “he has been like family to me. He strengthened my faith, officiated my wedding, and baptized my children. … I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community.”

He only denounced the comments, not the man himself.

“”What I think particularly angered me,” Obama said of Wright on Monday, “was his suggestion somehow that my previous denunciation of his remarks were somehow political posturing.””

I'm sure there is a lot, but I never researched it.

I'd think that for those troops recruited under the normal AFQT standards it might be OK, but blacks were disproportionately part of "McNamara's Folly" and for them I'm sure results were dismal.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_J2VwFDV4-g

The issue of course is that as compared to whites, far fewer blacks can pass the AFQT and of those fewer do well enough for demanding technical roles. Still, the military doe have success with some blacks and for them it is a good career option.

Very, very few blacks are capable of succeeding in elite military teams like the SEALs but there have been a few. Oddly enough, it seems that of pictures I've seen of black SEALs most are phenotypically really black, not mulatto.

Maybe not so odd; high-yellas got hella options in the private sector. Way more opportunities than mulattoes to fill them.

It’s not exactly uncommon for “based black” to correlate with “very black,” IME.

The Islamophilia in this thread is pretty sickening.

Go live in a Muslim dominated society for several years, then come back and tell us all how awesome it was.

    Thanks.

I missed the Islamophilia (not a crack; I just haven’t read the thread carefully yet), but Muslims’ lack of cucking for the Jews is enviable.

  121. @Father Coughlin
Normies better wake up fast. The purity spiral of political correctness is now a tornado. It will destroy everything in its path.

)))We((( will win. It’s inevitable, at this point. The only question now is the length of the timeline.

    History repeats…

  122. @AnotherDad

‘With that caveat, how can anyone who calls themselves educated seriously argue about the Islam part of this statement?

I call myself educated, and I seriously argue with the statement. First off, Muslims have sinned no more than they’ve been sinned against as far as the attacking goes.

Second, historically Jews have enjoyed much better relations with Muslims than they have with Christians. In fact, they only switched sides when it became apparent that we had become top dog.

I’d say you don’t know what you are talking about.

A strong case for birth control!

At all costs, America and the West in general need to be kept in a state of fear and hate when it comes to Islam, which, speaking for myself, I find about as appealing as Mormonism — but also about as menacing.

Islam is dull. I like drinking, I like looking at women, and I don’t even think God exists, much less that Mohammed is his prophet.

What do you personally believe to be the major threats to Western Civilization at this time?

Here’s a 1980s PBS documentary “Story of English” segment about Tangier Island in Chesapeake Bay. The locals back then had an accent that sounds vaguely Australian to me. Robert McNeil says it’s the closest thing in the US to West of England accent:

    • Replies: @J.Ross
Tangier Island was just on the radio because it's featured in a global warming documentary. It's sinking, and in particular it's losing grave sites, with human bone fragments washing up on the beach.
Re Maryland accent, the female school principle in the fourth season of the Wire has one, and in the commentary David Simon mentions that she's the only character in the series who authentically talks like the white people there. But then the male lead is an Englishman perfectly Housing his own accent in a general American idiom.
The mayor of Tangier Island's municipality talks a little in this first piece, he has that same accent.

    , @William Badwhite
Thanks. The Tangier accent is more pronounced by definitely similar to the Delmarva accent. I wonder how much TV and movies being available might affect the kids, or is there so much daily reinforcement from talking to family, neighbors, etc that the accent is maintained on track.
  125. @ThreeCranes
    Well done, Steve.

“Hate” -i.e., criticizing and telling the truth about Islam and opposing an invasion of Muslims and it’s pernicious consequences- “has no home in Chicago.” Nor does criticizing and telling the truth about blacks and Mestizos/Amerindians. But black hatred of whites, Muslim hatred of “infidels” and women of all races, and “Hispanic”/”Latino” hatred of “non-Hispanic whites,” has a home in Chicago, the home of Calypso Louis and the Nation of Islam and the Rev. Wright and Luis Gutierrez, the drooling, foaming little Mestizo, who spits when he rages and hates. Their hatred, no matter how irrational, psychotic, murderous, and genocidal, is just and good and righteous, condoned and encouraged, often even praised. It’s permissible, indeed peremptory, to hate the “haters” if the “haters” as defined by the left are white and non-leftist, “the basket of deplorables,” “racist,” “sexist,” “misogynistic,” “xenophobic,” “Islamophobic,” “homophobic,” etc. To Hillary, apparently, black, Mestizo/Amerindian, and Islamic males aren’t “sexist” (whatever that mean precisely), “misogynistic,” and “homophobic.” And they’re not “racists,” of course, since only whites can be “racists” and racial “supremacists.”

  126. @J.Ross
Then you've been deceived because there's no such thing, it's an alibi they tell to outsiders. Al-Qaeda and ISIS justify their actions using the rulings of non-Wahhabi, thoroughly mainstream jurists. And anyway it wouldn't explain any Shi'ite extremism. Islam is Islam and Muslim behavior is a function of their numbers.

If you read the Qu’ran, you’ll find Christians believing all sorts of stuff (both good and bad from the perspective of the author) that would have been considered downright heretical in Constantinople by that time.

There’s not much of an analogue to this elsewhere in the Western World anymore.

(And for all the avowed anti-Islamophobia of liberal Jews in the US, I don’t think they’d be too pleased with the comparison, either.)

    >And anyway it wouldn’t explain any Shi’ite extremism. Islam is Islam and Muslim behavior is a function of their numbers.

But in practical terms, there’s a major difference between the two: the Shi’ites pose absolutely no realistic threat to the interests of the United States, unlike the Wahhabis. They are outnumbered 7 to 1 in the region, and generally speaking, Shi’a extremism is about local sectarian politics with the occasional assassination of dissident guerillas or foreign ambassadors that the Iranian government doesn’t like. Put basically, they keep their nonsense (mostly) in the Middle East where it belongs.

They do pose a threat to the interests of Israel and Saudi Arabia. But not to those of America. And no, contrary to what Lindsey Graham or CNN would like to tell you, those are not the same thing. We have our own oil supplies now, and but for a bunch of senile, spoiled hippies, we’d be using them while building nuclear plants en masse to solve the national security, cost, and environmental issues all in one go for the forseeable future. Everybody else would win: global warming advocates, those who want out of the Middle East, people looking for more affordable energy sources, period.

The imaginary riff by Mayor Rahm is a hoot. Quite a set of brothers and father. Steve, I have a question. Seriously, what kind of mayor has Rahm been?
