As part of the broad European trend, in Denmark’s parliament the left-of-center Social Democrats, the official opposition & single biggest party, are moving toward increased immigration restriction.

From Bloomberg:

Denmark’s Biggest Party Adopts Anti-Immigrant View
By Christian Wienberg
June 6, 2018, 2:09 AM PDT

Danish Social Democrats break with party of EU’s Vestager

Move is latest in Left’s embrace of tougher immigration rules

Having anti-immigration policies has gone well and truly mainstream in Denmark.

The country’s biggest political group, the opposition Social Democrats, this week ended long-standing ties with the Social Liberals that count European Commissioner Margrethe Vestager among their members. …

The Social Democrats are the main left of center party and the official opposition, while the Social Liberals are a smaller, but not insignificant, centrist party that idolizes Richard Florida’s book “The Rise of the Creative Class.”

Instead, Social Democrat leader Mette Frederiksen has publicly acknowledged a closer bond with the Danish People’s Party, which has talked of dragging Denmark out of the Schengen agreement and targets a drastic reduction in the number of immigrants and asylum seekers allowed into the country.

So this is kind of like if, I dunno, Joe Biden announced that Gavin Newsome and Kamala Harris had been kicked out of the Democratic Party for being too pro immigration and getting in the way of a potential Democratic deal with Trump to build The Wall.

(It’s worth noting that a former Social Democrat prime minister, Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, back in 1999 attacked the DPP for its harsh views on immigration, using a metaphor to imply the group would never be fit for polite society.)

With general elections due no later than June 2019, most polls show that Frederiksen has a good chance of becoming Denmark’s next prime minister. If she defeats the center-right coalition of Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen, Frederiksen said this week she intends to form a one-party government, without the Social Liberals. At the same time, she has made clear she’d be happy to accept parliamentary support from the DPP.

Defending her decision to turn her back on the Social Liberals, Frederiksen said, “The differences have become too big.” She said her new affiliations have brought the Social Democrats more “in line with the view of Danes on immigration, and we will continue on that route.” …

Will the American media try to spin even this as the Rising Tide of Fascism?

An awful lot of the impediments thrown by the global establishment in the way of rational immigration reform have been based purely on verbally demonizing anybody pointing out the need to cut back on immigration, such as German center-left technocrat Thilo Sarrazin, as Far Right (i.e., Nazi). But as highly respectable parties like Denmark’s Social Democrats come around on immigration, how much longer can they keep up this smear campaign?

Perhaps in the future, immigration limitation will be seen as a centrist to left of center issue with the pro-business parties of the right being pro-mass immigration? For example, America’s 1920s immigration law reforms were part of a broad center-left good government movement led by progressives with the support of labor against business interests and ethnic lobbies.

Francis Fukuyama called democratization “getting to Denmark” because all around the world people see Denmark as the prototypical “normal country” that they’d like to emulate.

Interestingly, in 2000s, Denmark has taken the lead on immigration limitation (e.g., with Europe’s first measures cracking down on arranged cousin marriages for the purpose of immigration fraud).

That’s not coincidental.

    Exactly right Mishra.

The cosmopolitan globalists are waging a--somewhat successful--semantic battle against sane people.

Immigration is population replacement--that's called "basic math". (What happened to the native Americans?--"immigration".)

The real "center" would be no immigration, keeping the nation's demographics, integration of people to national culture.

Mass--much less "open"--immigration is national destruction/genocide. So some Danish party shifting stance in response to invasion by the rapefugees, but still allowing for any immigration, isn't becoming "far right", they are simply moving rightward in the "left" spectrum. Genocide on the installment plan.

    A legitimate spectrum:

Nazis -- invade their countries, enslave their populations, take their land for lebensraum.
Extreme right -- round up all the non-national ethnics for deportation
Far right -- non-integrated ethnics encouraged to go home; incompatible ones (ex. Muslims) forced to leave
Right -- non-integrable ethnics (ex. Muslims) encouraged to leave
Center Right -- non-citizens sent home; national assimilation pushed

Center -- no immigration, everyone integrates to national culture

Center Left -- small high-skilled immigration of only integrable people, who reduce income inequality
Left -- significant immigration quotas and assimilation
Far Left -- generous immigration quotas, and multiculturalism
Extreme Left -- "refugees welcome!" "no one is illegal"
Commies -- "we shall have open borders!"
Genocidal Commies -- "the white race is the cancer of human history"

Denmark is too insignificant a country. It can be safely be ignored. Only developments in places like the UK, France, Germany, Italy etc. will have an impact.

Frankly I think that your list is too large. Only UK, France, and Germany. Italy is dying - average age of 45 and losing 250,000 ethnic I-ties per year - and this trend will only accelerate. The EU elites can simply wait out the demographics game.

Germany might have the best chance... the AfD is the only true alternative party with any clout of the three countries. However, the UK has the highest white birth rate (also increasing) and many immigrants from Poland and Romania, who are quite conservative. Unfortunately, their electoral system makes it difficult for any sort of peaceful revolution.

France is just a mess... I hope the socialists and leftists there can stymie Macron. That said, they are not better on the immigration front.

However, every country counts. I would not discount any European countries trying to right their own ship. Strength in numbers.
  5. Danish firecracker political leader Pernille Vermund is defending Denmark from the evils of mass immigration and multiculturalism.

Pernille Vermund has noticed what Sailer has noticed about the totalitarian media “verbally demonizing anybody pointing out the need to cut back on immigration.”

  6. A country with less than 6 million people and a birthrate that was getting so low that it actually came up with a “do it for Mom” campaign to get people busy enough to breed isn’t exactly in a position to tolerate much immigration. Actually, they can’t tolerate any immigration and remain Denmark.

At some point it becomes obvious that you have to act right now to save your country. Hungary, Poland and Denmark will survive. England and Sweden won’t. Jury still out on America.

    • Replies: @Diversity Heretic
Austria is also taking steps to restrict immigration, although I think the numbers there are already really high. There may be hope. France, however, is probably doomed.
    , @UrbaneFrancoOntarian
Yup, America learned the hard way that you cannot wait until it is too late. If immigration were stopped COMPLETELY right now to the USA, whites would still eventually fall below the 50% of new births due to demographic momentum. "Whites" (jews, arabs) are currently 51.7% of newborns... it has stalled and is six years past 2012, when they called for it to fall under 50%. But our time is coming.

You have to stop cancer early on. The UK is actually seeing its percentage of white births increase due to Eastern European immigrants. And Denmark actually has quite a decent birth rate, of 1.77 children per woman in 2017 (and around 1.8 before that). It did dip quite low in the 1980s. All the more reason to cut of migrants.
  7. Will the American media try to spin even this as the Rising Tide of Fascism?

When the cognitive dissonance gets too great, examples that don’t fit the narrative can just be ignored. Denmark is a country of less than six million (about the same population as the Atlanta metro area) on a few small islands islands and peninsula between Germany and Sweden (and it’s easier to move between Germany and Sweden by ferry than winding through Denmark). In other words, it won’t be hard to “memory hole” whatever is happening in Denmark and paper it over with Big Lies.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/28/business/economy/denmark-jobs-full-employment.html

As for the media talking heads hyperventilating, let them. All the “impending fascism” comparisons do is make them look ridiculous. The effect is enhanced for working and lower-middle class Americans given their open lack of even pretended concern for their wages or job security.

  11. One of the many insane things about current Leftist policy stances is that sealing the borders and eliminating immigration is one of the BEST things you could do if you actually want a welfare state with socialized everything to succeed and prosper. I have my doubts that a welfare state with socialized everything is capable of prospering under any circumstances, but it seems self-evident that the best chance is with a fixed, homogeneous population.

There are many things to hate about the Left but the massively self-contradictory policies they push are an element I don’t see commented on as much.

    Spot on Polynices. Well said.

The truth is everything the Democrats claim to value is made distinctly *worse* by immigration. I've posted my list here a few times--won't do it now. But you start with employment, wages, income inequality and proceed through affordable housing, global warming all the environmental stuff, onto feminism and their looney tunes LGBQWERTY obsessions. All made much worse by immigration.

The only point of mass immigration is breaking having a coherent nation--a population of shared tradition, culture, religion, race and values--that can actually stand up to the super-state, and, of course, the immigrant vote bank for the super-state.
    , @The Last Real Calvinist
Nothing about leftist open borders policy makes sense if you take them at their word on what their real motivations are.

They don't care about their own nations and people; they are pride-filled post-Christian heretics who are trying to 'save the world' by rebuilding Babel. If you look at them this way, most of their actions fall into place.

    , @nebulafox
Barb Jordan ("We should be making it easier for Americans to get work, not harder!") was swapped out for Ezra Klein ("A minimum wage is racist against the global poor and Silicon Valley CEOs are a moral example for America"). That kind of says it all. Though, on the other hand, the GOP has gone from being the party of proudly cold-blooded realists about human nature to the party of free-market fetishists, destructive Wilsonian foreign policy idealists, and Rovian professional mental escapists. A huge part of why immigration "reform" seems to pop up on Capitol Hill all the time in spite of the American people consistently rejecting it is the GOP's insane desire to benefit billionaires and CEOs that by and large don't even support them. The Chamber of Commerce clowns are as much of a danger to the greater interests of American society as the SJWs-in short, the toxic combination of Economic Right and Cultural Left.

And Dominionist freaks in the GOP still manage to prevent any sort of sane policy aimed toward curbing African birthrates.

    >I have my doubts that a welfare state with socialized everything is capable of prospering under any circumstances, but it seems self-evident that the best chance is with a fixed, homogeneous population.

There is an exception I could point out: Singapore. But nobody seems to note that Singapore makes multiculturalism work through authoritarian policies that stand no chance of being adopted in the US any time soon. For example, the reason there are no ethnic ghettoes in Singapore is simple: it's just not allowed. HDB planners are assigned a strict quota for each major ethnicity with every estate. This kind of Plato's Republic style planning goes against pretty much every fiber in America's national DNA, so...

Note that even after '65, immigration to the US in the 1970s and 1980s was nothing remotely near the torrent wave that came in the past 25 years. It was limited to numbers that the American economy could handle, and it was also far more selective for skills and likelihood of assimilation. Like so much else that is wrong with the United States these days, the 1990s seems to be the watershed moment. When the USSR collapsed and the Baby Boomers took power, our ruling class lost any sense of prudence or restraint...

  12. Somebody on the internet suggested that the Sweden Democrats were strongest in the part of Sweden close to Denmark. You might say Swedish women and Swedish men ethnically close to Danes provided the numbers for the surge in support for the Sweden Democrats.

As a part Dane, I hope that the Danes can start breeding again. They have about 2/3 the population of ethnic Swedes (which has an additional million parasites) in Sweden. Within a generation, it would be possible to have enough population to retake Skåneland and quite possibly more of the territory. We can conveniently find some Danish artifacts there to solidify our eventual claim.

Hopefully this might even be done by Danes simply walking across the border and calling themselves Swedish. If anyone asks, tell them Barbara Lerner Spectre sent us, we’re just helping make Sweden more multicultural, we’re going to be part of that transformation too.

Actually if you read the latest demographic papers on Austria you will find that the non European population in Austria is quite small ( around 5% ) So the new Austria Govt have a great opportunity as does Italy to turn things around. Also France is going to turn around too, Front National now rebranded as National Rally are moving firmly in the direction of Ethnic Nationalism and are now looking at coalition building in future similar to Austria & Italy also Le Pen had the highest share of the youth vote in the first round which is very promising . Europeans are beginning to take our own side

    , @UrbaneFrancoOntarian

Britain is looking shaky as well.

Not so. The share of white births has actually increased to 76.7% in the UK, with Scotland/Ireland/Wales doing much better. Of course, that number is unacceptably low for a white country, and it is being buoyed by Eastern European immigrants, but nonetheless is making great progress. Hardly the 51.7% of the USA.

The USA is finished, to be quite frank. As I enumerated in a previous comment, the 51.7% "white" births include Arab, Jewish, and mixed children with white mothers. Even if all immigration ceased it will still fall below 50%. Seeing as Trump is doing nothing significant to halt immigration, that will fall faster. Amazing it's held up this long. The only hope is balkanization, or as a pipe dream, a massive spike in white births as the working class whites are empowered by Trump. So far this latter theory has shown no evidence of occurring.

France, I do believe, is finished, without any out scenarios like the USA. Vive la France, c'est une belle langue, but Quebec, la Belle Province, will be holding the torch as the last white, French region.

The sad fact is that even though Cameron is right, he speaks of public demand for immigration control as a disease to be cured, not simply a desire of the people that should be addressed by their democratically elected leaders.

He might as well have said "You have to take on the causes of this cancer..." as if the people expressing their desire for less immigration were some unfortunate disease that must be grudgingly addressed by their doctor (and we, the elite, will stick them with a big bill for it later, for doing them the favor of no longer screwing them over by supporting mass invasion).

Maybe Cameron had to speak that only way you can get the elite to do finally do something the people you want you have to first denigrate the people.

Like I say every time a European "mainstream" party makes immigration-skeptical noises:

One of the many insane things about current Leftist policy stances is that sealing the borders and eliminating immigration is one of the BEST things you could do if you actually want a welfare state with socialized everything to succeed and prosper. I have my doubts that a welfare state with socialized everything is capable of prospering under any circumstances, but it seems self-evident that the best chance is with a fixed, homogeneous population.

There are many things to hate about the Left but the massively self-contradictory policies they push are an element I don't see commented on as much.

    Spot on Polynices. Well said.

The truth is everything the Democrats claim to value is made distinctly *worse* by immigration. I’ve posted my list here a few times–won’t do it now. But you start with employment, wages, income inequality and proceed through affordable housing, global warming all the environmental stuff, onto feminism and their looney tunes LGBQWERTY obsessions. All made much worse by immigration.

The only point of mass immigration is breaking having a coherent nation–a population of shared tradition, culture, religion, race and values–that can actually stand up to the super-state, and, of course, the immigrant vote bank for the super-state.

  37. @Anonymous

But as highly respectable parties like Denmark’s Social Democrats come around on immigration, how much longer can they keep up this smear campaign?

Denmark is too insignificant a country. It can be safely be ignored. Only developments in places like the UK, France, Germany, Italy etc. will have an impact.

Frankly I think that your list is too large. Only UK, France, and Germany. Italy is dying – average age of 45 and losing 250,000 ethnic I-ties per year – and this trend will only accelerate. The EU elites can simply wait out the demographics game.

Germany might have the best chance… the AfD is the only true alternative party with any clout of the three countries. However, the UK has the highest white birth rate (also increasing) and many immigrants from Poland and Romania, who are quite conservative. Unfortunately, their electoral system makes it difficult for any sort of peaceful revolution.

France is just a mess… I hope the socialists and leftists there can stymie Macron. That said, they are not better on the immigration front.

However, every country counts. I would not discount any European countries trying to right their own ship. Strength in numbers.

Italy is more relevant than you think because it has always had an unstable government that threatens the stability of the EU, and because it owes a ton of money to the European Central Bank, which also threatens the stability of the EU and French and German banks.
    , @Dante
Those demographic indicators can be improved in Italy ( Europe in general ) by robust pro Natalist policies and a return to conservative values which is precisely what both Salvini & Di Maio have been talking about doing for years and now that they are in power those policies are being implemented. Add to that re-immigration of Italian youth and Italy can improve its demography as can all Europeans, it's worth a mention too that ALL European Nationalists or Nationalist inspired parties are pro family and anti abortion so the more Nationalists win the better Europe will do. Also as someone with a background in demography some of the defeatist comments are way off reality, So i'd like to state again that France is not finished neither is Europe. These nationalist inspired trends reflect Europeans waking up and taking our own side
  38. @theMann
A country with less than 6 million people and a birthrate that was getting so low that it actually came up with a "do it for Mom" campaign to get people busy enough to breed isn't exactly in a position to tolerate much immigration. Actually, they can't tolerate any immigration and remain Denmark.

At some point it becomes obvious that you have to act right now to save your country. Hungary, Poland and Denmark will survive. England and Sweden won't. Jury still out on America.

Yup, America learned the hard way that you cannot wait until it is too late. If immigration were stopped COMPLETELY right now to the USA, whites would still eventually fall below the 50% of new births due to demographic momentum. “Whites” (jews, arabs) are currently 51.7% of newborns… it has stalled and is six years past 2012, when they called for it to fall under 50%.

  39. @Alfa158
Yep, France is finished. Over 40% of babies now being born there have at least one foreign born parent, and then you add in all the kids whose parents were born in France but aren’t of French extraction. Britain is looking shaky as well.
From here in California, I think the US is already done for, and the rest of the country outside the SW is just starting to realize it as well.
I’m hoping that Eastern Europe and perhaps Italy can hold the line.

As I enumerated in a previous comment, the 51.7% “white” births include Arab, Jewish, and mixed children with white mothers. Even if all immigration ceased it will still fall below 50%. Seeing as Trump is doing nothing significant to halt immigration, that will fall faster. Amazing it’s held up this long. The only hope is balkanization, or as a pipe dream, a massive spike in white births as the working class whites are empowered by Trump. So far this latter theory has shown no evidence of occurring.

France, I do believe, is finished, without any out scenarios like the USA. Vive la France, c’est une belle langue, but Quebec, la Belle Province, will be holding the torch as the last white, French region.

    • Replies: @S. Anonyia
Only the historically whiter parts of the U.S are finished once mass immigration takes its toll.

Areas that have always have lots of non-whites, and are accustomed to that dynamic- like the Deep South and Texas- will soldier on, a more functional version of southern Brazil. They will probably align themselves with the better Latin American (as they once did 150 + years ago) countries when the U.S inevitably Balkanizes.

We are used to navigating a multiethnic society and have not lost our identity. Unlike Californians, Nortberners and Midwesterners.

The default do-nothing option is US Brazilianization.

Brazil's white minority live in gated communities protected by armed guards, and politics is a racial special interest free-for-all with massive corruption. Basically it's a multi-cultural disaster with highly developed racial awareness. Blacks assign status to each other according to skin tone (whiter is better).

There may be a route out of this fate through the dissolution of the United States.

If most powers (taxation, spending, immigration) reverted to individual states, they would be largely autonomous within a loose North American Federation. Then, for example, California would be clearly Hispanic and make their own decisions, but Red States could retain their own Constitution based identities.
  40. @Mishima Zaibatsu
On a very similar note, globalist former UK PM David Cameron said this week that stricter immigration controls are the solution to populism.

“It’s no good saying to people — "you’re wrong to be concerned about high levels of immigration, just get used to it and understand what a benefit it is.

"People want immigration control and expect governments to deliver on it.

"It’s no good saying to people— ‘well you’ve just got to understand the beauties and wonders of free market economics,’ when people are very clear the economy is not working for everybody.

"We deal with it through programs like the government has done — minimum wages, better training, more apprenticeships. You have to take on the causes of this populism and deal with these arguments, not wave them away.”

This is proof that all leaders are controlled. Cameron felt this way the whole time as PM, yet still jacked up immigrants. Now, out of the job, he can speak freely about it.

Maybe. But the usual route is that former political leaders become even more controlled by powerful interests after they leave office, so as to collect all those speaking fees, corporate directorships, ad nauseum. First Term President Bill Clinton gave us the Jordan Commission. Ex-President Bill Clinton collected $150 million+ in speaking fees after leaving office by telling Fortune 500 companies what they wanted to hear. Tony Blair might have made it to $100 million even faster than Clinton did (and without a wife in high office) so I have no doubt this route is available in the UK, as well.
  41. On a trip across Europe I was astounded by the happiness and openness of the Danes in particular. Strangers would come up to me and start talking about whatever, touching your shoulder like you were old friends. Another memory that sticks out was the horror on everyone’s face when an Arab guy was yelling at and shoving his wife in the street. They clearly weren’t conditioned yet to ignore and avoid unpleasantness like Other places.

It’s nice to see such a lovely place stand up for itself.

Nothing about leftist open borders policy makes sense if you take them at their word on what their real motivations are.

They don’t care about their own nations and people; they are pride-filled post-Christian heretics who are trying to ‘save the world’ by rebuilding Babel. If you look at them this way, most of their actions fall into place.

Allowing dual citizenship makes it possible to expel criminal immigrants. Without that law they would de jure be stateless citizens, a breach of European human rights conventions.

    Interesting.

Of course, a generation or so ago, lefty Denmark prided itself on being ‘liberal’ – a manifestation of which was a permissive immigration policy ‘open’ to so called ‘asylum seekers’ and the generality of the third world wishing to loot the the acquired wealth of the Danish people. The usual justifications were trotted out, Economist style ‘liberalism’, damned lies about funding pensions etc.

As far as I know there never was a Danish Enoch Powell, and at the very least the Danish people acquiesced with the political bullshit – until that is, 40 years too late they actually could see for themselves the truth about third world people.
Thus arose anti immigrant sentiment, and thus in the market place of political power, the Danish political class was forced, against its better instincts to accommodate this sentiment – an illustration of the truth that ultimately all that politicians care about is their own careers.

A familiar pattern in Europe, apparently. Sweden appears to be heading the same way, and even the Italians – who came a generation later to all this shit, seem to be following the pattern:

A spell of frenzied politically inspired madness – followed by the slow rise of plain common sense from the people, which, alas, is always 40 years too late.

That party was taken over 20 years ago or so by gays allied with atheist/agnostic artsy-fartsy and journalist types, and almost all the money came from London. The SNP leadership is actually very much, seemingly totally at times, anti-Scottish in every way that deals with the historic peoples of Scotland and their cultures. The SNP is equally anti-Catholic and anti-conservative Protestant, while being pro-Jewish and proMoslem and Pro-Sikh. The SNP - behind the scenes even more than vocally leading - is dismissive, even condemnatory, of peoples of Scottish heritage elsewhere (US, Canada, Australia, etc.) attempting to maintain their ancestral inks, such as in running Highland Games or wearing clan tartans.

I simply cannot fathom that. The Scottish "nationalists" want independence for Scotland, only to hand most real power over to the EU and to allow their country to be flooded by foreigners, European and otherwise. Then when the whole country (i.e., the UK) actually does increase real Scottish autonomy by voting the UK out of the EU the SNP throws a shit fit. Is the SNP led by idiots or lying extremists? I really don't know. I guess, in a sense, has co-opted the concept of Scottish nationalism to use for an ideology that is decidedly anti-nationalist and anti-Scottish.

The people I feel badly for are the people of Oświęcim. Imagine foreign invaders perform a horrible crime against humanity in your town, and your town is henceforth forever known by its name in the invaders' language (i.e., Auschwitz).
  58. Our Globalist/Leftist/Cultural Marxist media demonizes those who have even a modicum of common sense on almost any issue as ‘far right’ and ‘Nazis.

Nazi is a nickname for National Socialist Workers’s Party of Germany. The Nazi Party was founded in a gay bar. It rose to power on the streets because of its Brownshirts, who were run by Ernest Rohm, who was a gay pedophile very much into S&M. Most of the Brownshirt leaders were as perverse as Rohm. The Nazis were defined religiously and philosophically by dabbling in Theosophy (just like the vast majority of Marxists and Anarchists) and half-hearted attempts to plan a revival of Germanic paganism.

The Nazis were another group of violent ultra Leftists determined to destroy everything in order to replace what vestiges of Christendom remained.

Today, the Neocons are to Nazis what the SJW crowd is to Weimar era Bolsheviks and Anarchists. All are evil: Leftist anti-Christendom, anti-Natural Law, anti-family, evil.

It is noteworthy in this regard that the so-called 'Scottish Nationalist Party' are, in fact, rabid immigrationists.

The SNP – behind the scenes even more than vocally leading – is dismissive, even condemnatory, of peoples of Scottish heritage elsewhere (US, Canada, Australia, etc.) attempting to maintain their ancestral inks, such as in running Highland Games or wearing clan tartans.

  60. @Anonymous
Italy is more relevant than you think because it has always had an unstable government that threatens the stability of the EU, and because it owes a ton of money to the European Central Bank, which also threatens the stability of the EU and French and German banks.

German banks (and the Jewish run French banks) and German industrialists are the most important people in ruining Europe for their own gain.

That is, of the nations that have not voted to get out of the EU. The English bankers and industrialists, and the now ‘old money’ Mohammedans with UK citizenship, are equally reprehensible, equally determined to elect a totally new people, for their gain.

  61. @Polynices

Barb Jordan (“We should be making it easier for Americans to get work, not harder!”) was swapped out for Ezra Klein (“A minimum wage is racist against the global poor and Silicon Valley CEOs are a moral example for America”). That kind of says it all. Though, on the other hand, the GOP has gone from being the party of proudly cold-blooded realists about human nature to the party of free-market fetishists, destructive Wilsonian foreign policy idealists, and Rovian professional mental escapists. A huge part of why immigration “reform” seems to pop up on Capitol Hill all the time in spite of the American people consistently rejecting it is the GOP’s insane desire to benefit billionaires and CEOs that by and large don’t even support them.

For example, the reason there are no ethnic ghettoes in Singapore is simple: it’s just not allowed. HDB planners are assigned a strict quota for each major ethnicity with every estate. This kind of Plato’s Republic style planning goes against pretty much every fiber in America’s national DNA, so…

Note that even after ’65, immigration to the US in the 1970s and 1980s was nothing remotely near the torrent wave that came in the past 25 years. It was limited to numbers that the American economy could handle, and it was also far more selective for skills and likelihood of assimilation. Like so much else that is wrong with the United States these days, the 1990s seems to be the watershed moment. I agree. The ratio is the more relevant stat. By that measure, Danish women stand out for their resistance to the POZ.

Poland is an outlier because of Catholic religious piety. My guess is that they are more orthodox (little O) in their cultural views. You see the same thing in France, where cultural conservatism is a more important part of the far Right. (Marion Le Pen)

That is not a factor in thoroughly secular Denmark, though.

    , @Rosie
OK, so here is the female "far right" vote as a rounded percentage of the male "far right" vote, from largest to smallest:

    Poland 600%
    Latvia 100%
    France 85%
    Netherlands 85%
    Norway 81%
    Denmark 77%
    Romania 75%
    Turkey 68%
    Bulgaria 58%
    Finland 53%
    Greece 51%
    Belgium 50%
    Russia 44%
    Slovakia 43%
    Croatia 43%
    Hungary 40%
    Germany 38%

Broken out this way, it becomes very clear that WE women are responding better to right-wing parties than EE women, with Poland being a clear outlier. An interesting question is whether that is because EE parties are more radical, or whether EE women are just naive about foreigners and voting "idealistically" as a result of that. A third possibility is that the WE parties are just better at marketing nationalist policies to women. It could well be some combination of these.

Belgium stands out as a country overrun with immigrants where the women still don't get it. A possible explanation would be that the immigrant population is more segregated/concentrated there, so many Belgian women just don't encounter them on a regular basis. (I don't know if this is true BTW. I'm speculating.)

Also noteworthy is the difference between Romanian women and Hungarian women, the former with a strong WE-like showing of 75% compared to the pathetic 40% for Hungarian women, which is barely better than the 38% showing of the ruthlessly demoralized German women. I wonder what that's all about.

One thing is clear: It is silly to assume appeals to women are pointless. The FR is always going to rely primarily on men's votes, but getting from 40% to 80% would do these parties a lot of good.

  64. Perhaps in the future, immigration limitation will be seen as a centrist to left of center issue with the pro-business parties of the right being pro-mass immigration?

Nah, I don’t ever see that happening. The Left is now comprised of hipsters who are told what is cool and not cool by people like George Soros and his allies and minions. Their first and most important rules are to never move right, and to never, ever adopt any political idea that is favored by “proles.”

When the Left wins, it moves left. When it loses, it moves left. If it ever moves to the right on anything it is merely a feint – “boob bait for bubbas,” so to speak. Contrast that with the GOP, whose leaders are always saying they need to move left when they lose, and that when they win…they also need to move left.

Ethnic nationalism for everyone but (non-Jewish) whites is now the most important political position held by the Global Left. Beating whites into minority status in every single white country in the world is the most uncompromiseable part of their agenda.

I simply cannot fathom that. The Scottish “nationalists” want independence for Scotland, only to hand most real power over to the EU and to allow their country to be flooded by foreigners, European and otherwise. Then when the whole country (i.e., the UK) actually does increase real Scottish autonomy by voting the UK out of the EU the SNP throws a shit fit. Is the SNP led by idiots or lying extremists? Scottish nationalism is a coalition of people from all over the political spectrum who happen to agree on Scottish independence, but disagree on much else. 'Blood and soil' nationalists probably aren't even the majority. Stopping Afro/Asian/EU immigration is one of the things they don't all agree on. Making an issue of this risks breaking the coalition.

And anyway, the vast majority of immigration to Britain goes to England, while the vast majority of immigration to Scotland comes from England. There is little immediate danger of Scotland being swamped with Poles and Pakistanis, but there is a serious danger of being swamped by the English - as has already happened for example to South Wales.

    , @Pericles
Tell me, what good is independence without gibs?

Much like Catalonia, the aim is 'single mother freedom', where your lifestyle is sponsored by someone else far away who you'll never need to know, while your opinion counts as much as anyone else's, or perhaps more because you're a poor victim.

Brazil’s *rich* minority lives in closed compounds. And isn’t anywhere near the entirety of whites, even defining “white” strictly (BTW, defining strictly, a decent fraction of the rich is “not really white”).

“We deal with it through programs like the government has done — minimum wages, better training, more apprenticeships. You have to take on the *causes* of *this* populism and deal with these arguments, not wave them away.”

The sad fact is that even though Cameron is right, he speaks of public demand for immigration control as a disease to be cured, not simply a desire of the people that should be addressed by their democratically elected leaders.

He might as well have said “You have to take on the causes of this cancer…” as if the people expressing their desire for less immigration were some unfortunate disease that must be grudgingly addressed by their doctor (and we, the elite, will stick them with a big bill for it later, for doing them the favor of no longer screwing them over by supporting mass invasion).

Maybe Cameron had to speak that only way you can get the elite to do finally do something the people you want you have to first denigrate the people.

Step one for Denmark: make dual citizenship illegal again. For some reason I don't understand (lobbying by Danes living abroad?), they legalized it four years ago.

For that matter it should be step one for America too.

Allowing dual citizenship makes it possible to expel criminal immigrants. Without that law they would de jure be stateless citizens, a breach of European human rights conventions.

I'm under the impression that Marine Le Pen, while not opposed to embracing cultural Catholicism as a means of defending French-ness from mass immigration/globalism, is pretty staunchly secular as per post-1791 French political tradition. Her 2010 NYT opinion article defending French separation of church from state certainly gives that impression, and she refused to take part in the heavily trad Catholic Paris anti-gay marriage demonstrations in 2015. Note that certain very non-Catholic demographics like Jews (well, the ones not fleeing to Israel) or homosexuals who would have treated her father like the plague, understandably so, have no qualms about voting for her.

(Interestingly enough, Richard Dawkins and other hardcore Western European atheists have recently occasionally made noises about cultural Christianity being an important lesser of two evils as opposed to unfiltered Islam making further inroads.)

She's even got Muslim supporters: usually among the older first wave that came in the 1950s and 1960s from Algeria or Morocco or their children, back when France pursued a very hardcore assimilationist line with new arrivals. They have very little use for newer generations of Muslim arrivals who cause much of the street crime-many of them are shopkeepers who are victims of said street crime-while mooching off welfare and openly holding France and French culture in contempt.

    • Replies: @nebulafox
No, that's not true. I'm not a Singaporean, but my girlfriend is, so I'm a regular visitor. Their immigration policies are a lot saner and more thought out than ours or Europe's, needless to say, but unlike ethnically homogeneous South Korea/Japan/Taiwan, Singapore does have non-trivial amounts of immigration. One of the main complaints that Singaporean citizens have about their government is too much immigration keeping rental prices and job competition high, which defeats the efforts of the government to get people to have more kids.

What's missed by the immigration enthusiasts when they praise the Singapore model is this:

    1) Singapore openly and unapologetically uses your ethnicity as a determining factor. Whites and East Asians are on the top, Muslims and Africans are on the bottom, Hindu Indians, Thais, and Filipinos are somewhere in between. The biggest group of immigrants are far and away from the PRC, to an island that is 2/3rd Chinese already. The Singaporean government is hyper-paranoid about keeping the ethnic balance of the island roughly stable, which should surprise nobody familiar with the conditions of Singapore's birth in the 1960s. The low birthrates of native Chinese are a persistent irritant for the government, and necessitates making the immigration demographic even more PRC-heavy to keep things proportional. One reason the Singaporean government tries to attract as many Malaysian Chinese (fleeing official discrimination and racism in Malaysia) as possible is to make things a little less PRC heavy.

This still causes tensions, given the jarringly different mentalities of Singaporean Chinese and PRC Chinese (that the PRC Chinese are even less popular with the Malays and Indians of the island goes without saying), but the Singaporean government is supremely uninterested in making the island anything other than majority ethnically Chinese. The Singaporean government also is trying to make sure that native Malay birthrates don't get too low (they are far and away the highest of the native big 3, but still below replacement rate), that way the Malays don't become a minority within a minority, while still avoiding mass immigration of bumipurtra from Malaysia or Indonesia. The idea is basically that a stable, under control native Muslim demographic with a stake in the system is the least of three evils as opposed to a ghettoized, shrinking demographic with little to lose or mass Muslim immigration.

(And while you won't get them to officially admit it, one of the clever tricks the Singaporean government has come up with is counting Filipinos as ethnically Malay-which despite the religious differences and generally being more "Western" than any other Asians, they basically are racially, as Austro-Polynesians-to fulfill that immigration quotient.)

    2) Singapore is only likely to give you citizenship if you have high-octane skills that Singapore can use to its benefit. Manual laborers from the subcontient might be invited in to clean the streets or run the Indian restaurants. They don't become citizens. That option is open only for people who it is in Singapore's interests to invite in permanently.

And that Singapore's government has *zero* tolerance for illegal immigration-read, absolutely none-should go without saying.

    >Singapore is an authoritarian police state

No, that's not quite true either. Singapore is not a democracy, but neither is it a police state. The government could not care less if you criticize it with your buddies over some beer or hookah. Mass surveillance, while theoretically allowed, doesn't exist in practice. Nobody is punished for accessing foreign news sources. Freedom of travel is pretty much a given. And with a few exceptions, Internet censorship has traditionally been nonexistent. The government will even let you protest... in a certain, designated area upon filling out a permit. Just like prostitution. Yeah, Singapore in a nutshell right there....

China is patterning its own more subtle methods of modern repression off of Singapore's model for a reason-much more effective than tanks and torture, and much better PR. Our own elite is paying attention to the wrong things about China and Singapore while ignoring the right things, because, well, that's just how they roll.

With that being said, the government has gotten a lot more strict about sex content on the Web in recent years, and this has a lot to do with hardcore evangelical Christianity taking off with the ethnic Chinese, like everywhere else in Southeast Asia. (To say nothing of China itself. Fastest growing Christian country in the world.) That this is not popular with the island's young people, many of whom openly fantasize about escaping and working elsewhere (while hanging on to their passports, citizenship, and HDB rights) should go without saying. They already are having a difficult time summoning the energy for sex given their workload.

Interesting table. Thanks. I think it would be better to express the differences as ratios instead of as difference in percentages. I wish there was a better way of formatting tables here, but hopefully this gets the point across.

Poland is an interesting outlier (6x F/M ratio, only negative % gap). Does anyone have thoughts on that?

OK, so here is the female “far right” vote as a rounded percentage of the male “far right” vote, from largest to smallest:

    Poland 600%
    Latvia 100%
    France 85%
    Netherlands 85%
    Norway 81%
    Denmark 77%
    Romania 75%
    Turkey 68%
    Bulgaria 58%
    Finland 53%
    Greece 51%
    Belgium 50%
    Russia 44%
    Slovakia 43%
    Croatia 43%
    Hungary 40%
    Germany 38%

Broken out this way, it becomes very clear that WE women are responding better to right-wing parties than EE women, with Poland being a clear outlier. An interesting question is whether that is because EE parties are more radical, or whether EE women are just naive about foreigners and voting “idealistically” as a result of that. A third possibility is that the WE parties are just better at marketing nationalist policies to women. It could well be some combination of these.

Belgium stands out as a country overrun with immigrants where the women still don’t get it. A possible explanation would be that the immigrant population is more segregated/concentrated there, so many Belgian women just don’t encounter them on a regular basis. (I don’t know if this is true BTW. I’m speculating.)

Also noteworthy is the difference between Romanian women and Hungarian women, the former with a strong WE-like showing of 75% compared to the pathetic 40% for Hungarian women, which is barely better than the 38% showing of the ruthlessly demoralized German women. I wonder what that’s all about.

One thing is clear: It is silly to assume appeals to women are pointless. The FR is always going to rely primarily on men’s votes, but getting from 40% to 80% would do these parties a lot of good.

    • Replies: @Rosie
BTW, another possible explanation is that women are just a bit slower on the uptake as far as threat-detection is concerned. Of course, that still leaves me puzzled about Hungarian women, considering their experiences with the Gypsies.

The Polish number is noise since almost all Polish political parties are "far-right" on immigration by western European standards. In particular the main Polish "center-right" party PiS is somewhat to the right of Marine Le Pen.

This is nonsense. PO, the main opposition party has a stance that would fit right in within the Western European mainstream. PSL (agrarian/green party), ditto. SLD (social democrats) will very likely make a return in the next parliament, they are polling very strongly, and their stance is not too dissimilar.

Even PiS - ruling party and often described as "right-wing populist" - is not that different. Poland is still getting a lot of non-white migrants, primarily for work. It's just that they tend to be Chinese, Vietnamese, Indians, Nepalese etc. We're going in an Australian direction - lots of work-migration and very low amounts of refugees - and last time I checked they were well-within the Western mainstream but hardly "far-right".

It is noteworthy in this regard that the so-called ‘Scottish Nationalist Party’ are, in fact, rabid immigrationists.

Scottish nationalism is a coalition of people from all over the political spectrum who happen to agree on Scottish independence, but disagree on much else. ‘Blood and soil’ nationalists probably aren’t even the majority. Stopping Afro/Asian/EU immigration is one of the things they don’t all agree on. Making an issue of this risks breaking the coalition.

And anyway, the vast majority of immigration to Britain goes to England, while the vast majority of immigration to Scotland comes from England. There is little immediate danger of Scotland being swamped with Poles and Pakistanis, but there is a serious danger of being swamped by the English – as has already happened for example to South Wales.

Tell me, what good is independence without gibs?

Much like Catalonia, the aim is ‘single mother freedom’, where your lifestyle is sponsored by someone else far away who you’ll never need to know, while your opinion counts as much as anyone else’s, or perhaps more because you’re a poor victim.

  82. @Buck Turgidson
Singapore is an authoritarian police state that allows almost zero immigration.

No, that’s not true. I’m not a Singaporean, but my girlfriend is, so I’m a regular visitor. Their immigration policies are a lot saner and more thought out than ours or Europe’s, needless to say, but unlike ethnically homogeneous South Korea/Japan/Taiwan, Singapore does have non-trivial amounts of immigration. One of the main complaints that Singaporean citizens have about their government is too much immigration keeping rental prices and job competition high, which defeats the efforts of the government to get people to have more kids.

What’s missed by the immigration enthusiasts when they praise the Singapore model is this:

    1) Singapore openly and unapologetically uses your ethnicity as a determining factor. Whites and East Asians are on the top, Muslims and Africans are on the bottom, Hindu Indians, Thais, and Filipinos are somewhere in between. The biggest group of immigrants are far and away from the PRC, to an island that is 2/3rd Chinese already. The Singaporean government is hyper-paranoid about keeping the ethnic balance of the island roughly stable, which should surprise nobody familiar with the conditions of Singapore’s birth in the 1960s.

The Singaporean government also is trying to make sure that native Malay birthrates don’t get too low (they are far and away the highest of the native big 3, but still below replacement rate), that way the Malays don’t become a minority within a minority, while still avoiding mass immigration of bumipurtra from Malaysia or Indonesia. The idea is basically that a stable, under control native Muslim demographic with a stake in the system is the least of three evils as opposed to a ghettoized, shrinking demographic with little to lose or mass Muslim immigration.

(And while you won’t get them to officially admit it, one of the clever tricks the Singaporean government has come up with is counting Filipinos as ethnically Malay-which despite the religious differences and generally being more “Western” than any other Asians, they basically are racially, as Austro-Polynesians-to fulfill that immigration quotient.)

    2) Singapore is only likely to give you citizenship if you have high-octane skills that Singapore can use to its benefit. Manual laborers from the subcontient might be invited in to clean the streets or run the Indian restaurants. They don’t become citizens. That option is open only for people who it is in Singapore’s interests to invite in permanently.

And that Singapore’s government has *zero* tolerance for illegal immigration-read, absolutely none-should go without saying.

    >Singapore is an authoritarian police state

No, that’s not quite true either. Singapore is not a democracy, but neither is it a police state. The government could not care less if you criticize it with your buddies over some beer or hookah. Mass surveillance, while theoretically allowed, doesn’t exist in practice. Nobody is punished for accessing foreign news sources. Freedom of travel is pretty much a given. And with a few exceptions, Internet censorship has traditionally been nonexistent. The government will even let you protest… in a certain, designated area upon filling out a permit. Just like prostitution. Yeah, Singapore in a nutshell right there….

China is patterning its own more subtle methods of modern repression off of Singapore’s model for a reason-much more effective than tanks and torture, and much better PR. Our own elite is paying attention to the wrong things about China and Singapore while ignoring the right things, because, well, that’s just how they roll.

With that being said, the government has gotten a lot more strict about sex content on the Web in recent years, and this has a lot to do with hardcore evangelical Christianity taking off with the ethnic Chinese, like everywhere else in Southeast Asia. I think it would be better to express the differences as ratios instead of as difference in percentages.

I’m under the impression that Marine Le Pen, while not opposed to embracing cultural Catholicism as a means of defending French-ness from mass immigration/globalism, is pretty staunchly secular as per post-1791 French political tradition.

She’s even got Muslim supporters: usually among the older first wave that came in the 1950s and 1960s from Algeria or Morocco or their children, back when France pursued a very hardcore assimilationist line with new arrivals. They have very little use for newer generations of Muslim arrivals who cause much of the street crime-many of them are shopkeepers who are victims of said street crime-while mooching off welfare and openly holding France and French culture in contempt.

"Far right" is what the MSM call people who don't want their civilized countries transformed into third-world hellholes.

“Far right” is what the MSM call people who don’t want their civilized countries transformed into third-world hellholes.

    Exactly right Mishra.

The cosmopolitan globalists are waging a–somewhat successful–semantic battle against sane people.

Immigration is population replacement–that’s called “basic math”. (What happened to the native Americans?–“immigration”.)

The real “center” would be no immigration, keeping the nation’s demographics, integration of people to national culture.

Mass–much less “open”–immigration is national destruction/genocide. So some Danish party shifting stance in response to invasion by the rapefugees, but still allowing for any immigration, isn’t becoming “far right”, they are simply moving rightward in the “left” spectrum. Genocide on the installment plan.

    A legitimate spectrum:

Nazis — invade their countries, enslave their populations, take their land for lebensraum.
Extreme right — round up all the non-national ethnics for deportation
Far right — non-integrated ethnics encouraged to go home; incompatible ones (ex. Muslims) forced to leave
Right — non-integrable ethnics (ex. Muslims) encouraged to leave
Center Right — non-citizens sent home; national assimilation pushed

Center — no immigration, everyone integrates to national culture

Center Left — small high-skilled immigration of only integrable people, who reduce income inequality
Left — significant immigration quotas and assimilation
Far Left — generous immigration quotas, and multiculturalism
Extreme Left — “refugees welcome!” “no one is illegal”
Commies — “we shall have open borders!”
Genocidal Commies — “the white race is the cancer of human history”

  85. This deserves a gold border.

  86. @Diversity Heretic
Austria is also taking steps to restrict immigration, although I think the numbers there are already really high. There may be hope. France, however, is probably doomed.

  87. @UrbaneFrancoOntarian

Those demographic indicators can be improved in Italy ( Europe in general ) by robust pro Natalist policies and a return to conservative values which is precisely what both Salvini & Di Maio have been talking about doing for years and now that they are in power those policies are being implemented. Add to that re-immigration of Italian youth and Italy can improve its demography as can all Europeans, it’s worth a mention too that ALL European Nationalists or Nationalist inspired parties are pro family and anti abortion so the more Nationalists win the better Europe will do. Also as someone with a background in demography some of the defeatist comments are way off reality, So i’d like to state again that France is not finished neither is Europe. These nationalist inspired trends reflect Europeans waking up and taking our own side

  88. @Anonymous
LOL so what? Millions of Poles were killed by Nazis yet now most people think Poles were Nazis because that's what they hear on their TVs.

The people I feel badly for are the people of Oświęcim. Imagine foreign invaders perform a horrible crime against humanity in your town, and your town is henceforth forever known by its name in the invaders’ language (i.e., Auschwitz).
