  1. Let’s call this what it is: an attempt to remake the demographics of our country by cracking down on immigrants.

Unfettered illegal immigration into our country does not remake the demographics of our country.

Cracking down on unfettered illegal immigration remakes the demographics of our country.

War Is Peace, Freedom Is Slavery, Ignorance Is Strength.

Fair enough. They are businesses, and precarious businesses at that.

But it occurred to me that underrepresented minorities, who are disproportionately poor, are also being blocked from reading these newspapers. How do these media folk sleep at night knowing that? 🙂

President Trump said in a tweet Monday night that U.S. immigration agents are planning to make these kind of mass arrests starting “next week,” an apparent reference to a plan in preparation for months that aims to round up thousands of migrant parents and children in a blitz operation across major U.S. cities.

    Thousands? Thousands? Calling Dr. Evil.

Give me a break. There are 12 million illegals, 22 million according to some sources. Do the math. Trump could be making “mass = thousands blitz” arrests until the end of his second term and have minimal effect on the demographics of the country.

He’d have to round up roughly 30,000 or so people per day, process them get them through the court system, and transport them home. Peak, he’d need holding facilities for 2 or 3 million people, assuming two or three months until disposition in court, which is optimistic. Or catch and release: How many would show up? To keep up they would have to arrest hundreds of thousands per day, including no-shows.

Let’s face it: These kind of announcements are fake theater from Trump. The 12 million on his inauguration day remains 12 million. It will never fall. Only a serious self-deportation regime would be able to get rid of 12 million illegals. No jobs, no remittances, no bank accounts, no housing. Trump’s not going to do that, and the courts would stop him anyway.

Wake me up when Bannon and Sessions return, Kris Kobach is DHS secretary, and Stephen Miller has a real post with hundreds of staff. Sessions’s first job should be neutering the circuit courts.

  12. No, it’s an attempt to stop re-making the demographics of the country. Therefore totally unacceptable. America is a proposition nation built on the core Judeo-Christian value of being a melting-pot for the world, as the Founding Father Israel Zangwill so corely put it. It is a nation of immigrants built on the other core Judeo-Christian value of endless immigration by huddled mass yearning to breathe free, as the Founding Mother Emma Lazarus also so corely put it. Trump is not who we are and never was.

Eliot Higgins’ Bellingcat channel suspended by YouTube, then quickly restored

The worry was short-lived however. Less than two hours later, the NATO golden boy had his account restored — so he can continue investigating international incidents and war crimes from the comfort of his living room in Leicester.

Higgins, a former underwear salesman with no military background or expertise in weapons analysis, shot to Western Media fame when he began blogging the results of his open-source “investigations” — which somehow always pinned the blame on Russia or another convenient Western adversary. His diligent work caught the eye of the NATO-funded Atlantic Council, which was eager to throw money at him to keep the “research” flowing.

In a democracy, demographics are destiny. So it’s not surprising the Dems noticed the GOP was actually starting to fight back and decided to do something about it. The question is whether the GOP is going to be too busy figuring out ways to keep its big donors from paying taxes to do anything about it.

This is Trumps MO. He will do a mile of border wall, and send 2 miles of Twitter copy letting everyone know about it. He’ll remain silent about the remaining hundreds of miles of promised but unbuilt wall. You just need to trust him that a ‘big, beautiful’ wall will materialize in his second term I guess.

I suspect he’ll do a sweep and have about a dozen people deported, so technically he can say he’s on the case, but meaningful change is very doubtful.

But yeah, they got smarter. I’m surprised it took ’em this long; my best guess is they were still making money off the ads from incognito mode and then the ad companies got wise and complained.

Let’s fact it: all of this is an entirely predictable consequence of the social revolutions of the 1960s, the end of segregation, and the “civil rights” movement. Enoch Powell predicted it in Britain, and George Wallace predicted it in the U.S.

Harris is the miscegenated product of a Jamaican and a Subcontinental who was raised in Canada… but she criticizes what she sees as an attempt to “remake the demographics of our country.”

Who is the “our” she refers to? Obviously, nonwhite Third World immigrants like her parents and their nonwhite offspring like herself.

Without Hart-Celler, without Loving v. Virginia, without the Civil Rights Act of 1964, without desegregation, without forced busing and affirmative action, we wouldn’t be having this discussion today.

We’re fighting a rearguard action, though. Whites lost these battles in the 1960s. Harris is a U.S. Senator… and we’re internet dissidents bitching about a fait accompli.

She’s right, of course. It is HER country, not ours, and she knows that we’re upset that we lost it.

One might naively suppose that “community” standards would be a reflection of, well, the standards of the community and popular sentiment. 45. gregor says:

Steve, you just don’t get it. You, confused old white man that you are, are thinking in terms of what the current demographics actually are and what they used to be. Harris meanwhile is thinking of the future and of America’s dark destiny. The racists are trying to cut immigration and maintain current demographics. You might think that’s “preserving” rather than “changing” the demographics. But in terms of the projected demographic glide path, it’s “changing the demographics.” It is our destiny, after all, as we’ve been told many times. It’s sort of like how reducing the projected increase in gibs is a “spending cut.”

More seriously, the underlying assumption here is that the demographic changes are not a result of active policy but rather a “natural” occurrence.

The Serious Violence Strategy, published by the Government in 2018, states “the evidence on links between serious violence and ethnicity is limited. Once other factors are controlled for, it is not clear from the evidence whether ethnicity is a predictor of offending or victimisation”.

Looks like the Civil Service is wholly Woke. They apparently have no idea if a Chinaman is likely to be more or less violent than a Congolese, “once other factors are controlled for”.

I suppose it works if among the “other factors” are “living in a high-crime area”, in which case we’re back in “why do so many middle-class kids get into the best State schools?” territory.

  49. Trump or no Trump, I don’t think US is sustainable as a functioning wealthy power in next 1-4 decades. Even with the change of policy, diversity destroyed it already.

Except for WW 3 & globally unpredictable events, the most likely future is huge Brazil with pockets of cultural & technological excellence.

The next possible future is dissolution in a few countries, but I don’t think it to be very likely; some/many think it will be next Rhodesia or South Africa, but I don’t believe it.

America is too big; too wealthy; too powerful technologically, militarily, culturally & economically. On the other hand, safe & prosperous life with hope & future for your children is impossible for a country with so many competing cultural-racial groups who don’t have anything more in common except greed.

Harris’ broaching of the term “demographic change” should be clarifying and liberating to our side. We should embrace it, make it an open issue, and counter with the questions: “What’s the right demography for America? How will we achieve it? And who do you trust to maintain it?”

It’s a sign of a certain kind of desperation from the Left when they abandon their (supposed) “high-ground” strategy of using euphemism and abstract argument to surreptitiously advance their aims. Maybe it’s just that Trump exasperates them; but he has a talent for forcing them to reveal their hand, and he seems to have done so in this case.

Regardless, the Right has always crippled itself by conceding the Left’s moral categories, and arguing around them by invoking bloodless “principles” to justify ends that would strengthen the Right. (“Lower taxes actually increases revenue to government” would be an example of this argument style that marries self-interest with self-defeat). How much more effective would it be for all parties to baldly admit that we are battling for the future demography of this country?

I tend to agree with you, but I think the big trigger was the unpopular war in Vietnam. We often have social discontent, but when you have social discontent coupled with a war, you often get the government caving in.

For example, WW1 was the big war to spread democracy, or so they say. It ended up giving us the 19th Amendment. WW2 lead to the desegregation of the military. Vietnam gave life to all those student protests. Wars that require people to be drafted also require the government to give in to some of the demands of those being drafted, lest they be unable to prosecute their wars.

Wars also seem to lead to the enlargement of government power, and usually the government is left bigger and with more power than it had before the war, e.g. the Patriot Act.

    @Anon

He’d have to round up roughly 30,000 or so people per day, process them get them through the court system, and transport them home.

The US does not have to round up such large numbers. All it takes is a coordinated effort to prevent illegals from obtaining employment, benefits, housing, etc. Of course, we are being opposed tooth and nail. But previous experience shows the bulk of illegals will self-deport if they think the jig is up.

In 2006 the Christian Science Monitor ran a story about President Eisenhower’s Operation Wetback. In it they interviewed some border agents who were veterans of that operation.

Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America’s southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.

President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents – less than one-tenth of today’s force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.

Somebody needs to make Trump read this. It should form the basis of his plans.

Then on June 17, 1954, what was called “Operation Wetback” began. Because political resistance was lower in California and Arizona, the roundup of aliens began there. Some 750 agents swept northward through agricultural areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Another 488,000, fearing arrest, had fled the country.

By mid-July, the crackdown extended northward into Utah, Nevada, and Idaho, and eastward to Texas.

By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and an estimated 500,000 to 700,000 illegals had left the Lone Star State voluntarily.

Unlike today, Mexicans caught in the roundup were not simply released at the border, where they could easily reenter the US. To discourage their return, Swing arranged for buses and trains to take many aliens deep within Mexico before being set free.

Tens of thousands more were put aboard two hired ships, the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried the aliens from Port Isabel, Texas, to Vera Cruz, Mexico, more than 500 miles south.

The sea voyage was “a rough trip, and they did not like it,” says Don Coppock, who worked his way up from Border Patrolman in 1941 to eventually head the Border Patrol from 1960 to 1973.

The US does not have to round up such large numbers. All it takes is a coordinated effort to prevent illegals from obtaining employment, benefits, housing, etc. Of course, we are being opposed tooth and nail. But previous experience shows the bulk of illegals will self-deport if they think the jig is up.

Exactly right. All that would need to be done is to require everyone to have ID which shows your citizenship/residency status and you couldn’t do anything without it, and people would go back to where they came from. Birthright citizenship for illegals would have to go away as well. Obviously the will to do this is not there yet.

Now, add the further reflections to be found in this work by Randolph Bourne written in 1918 in the heat of the war fever occasioned by the Great War (WW1).

    https://antiwar.com/bourne.php

Note the quote from Lincoln above the main text which, if my memory serves me well, was uttered in opposition to the Mexican-American War. But he seems later to have been persuaded of the wisdom of the all-powerful state and its right to compel membership of the states who initially joined (and any successors) “these” United States to be members of “the” United States (a non-trivial distinction) in perpetuity. The earlier point still stands, as we have progressively seen the Warfare State indeed become the norm; big money to be made in war, and more importantly, an ever tighter grip on POWER for our political class can be secured through regularizing the Warfare State. This easily bleeds over into Trotskyite “continual revolution” at home, further linking this to the thrust of your observations.

No. Harris would lose to Trump. Not a landslide but solidly. Much easier than his race with Clinton. She’s unpleasant and rubs the minoritarianism in white people’s faces.

However, Biden, less so Sanders, and definitely–my pick of the likely nominee–Warren can potentially give Trump trouble.

Mainly because Trump has adamantly refused to govern on the populist/nationalist program that got him elected, nor even (competently) rhetorically ass whip the Democrats incredible jacked-up extremism.

  106. @PiltdownMan

Let’s call this what it is: an attempt to remake the demographics of our country by cracking down on immigrants.

The entire “progressive”–multiculti, minoritarian–narrative is absolutely eviscerated by the simple word “separation”.

We whites/conservatives/traditionalists make no demands on Kamala Harris or her ilk. We simply want to be able to continue to live in our traditional fashion, with our norms and culture.

The plain reality, is the minoritarian ideology is not a demand for anyone’s freedom from “oppression”, but the thuggish demand that whites be enslaved, controlled, managed for the benefit of other tribes.

    ~

It’s great that Harris and company are stupid enough to mention demographics–as obviously the actual demographic “remaking” going on is destroying white nations.

What we lack are conservative/politicians who are not cowards–are not afraid of race, and the torrent of “racist!”, “Nazi!”, “Hitler!” abuse the establishment media’s Jews and fellow travellers will unleash–and willing to point out that simple truth. Who is doing what to whom.

Even the first step, mandatory E-verify–first for new hires, then over a short period (maybe a year phase in)–would clear out millions.

Some serious, ass in jail, enforcement would be necessary, but pull away employment and this cancer will start to starve and die.

And it’s a trivial sell–American jobs for Americans. Employers who push back are un-American, greedy scumbags. “Let them setup their business overseas.”

Your point? If it’s that i could be wrong, that’s obvious. I’m a human being not God. I think it’s unlikely Harris is the nominee. She’s unpleasant and the Democrats have better more electable candidates (Warren for one). And i think it’s very unlikely Harris will beat Trump. It’s one thing to elect a low-key cipher like Obama–esp. given Bush’s screwups and bubble-pop recession. It’s another thing to elect an actively unpleasant ABW, who rubs whites’ noses in it.

But … i could be wrong. Some weird set of circumstances makes Harris the nominee. The nation goes into a recession. Trump does more blowhorn tweeting, while President Kushner governs in his usual f’you-people-who-actually-elected-my-father-in-law fashion.

I agree. And I think that shutting down remittances (don’t just tax them) would solve half the problem, and it would be easy.

As an expat on the business end of the Patriot Act and its associated laws, I can tell you that the financial industry now knows how to qualify its customers and cut them off if they don’t meet requirements.

And Treasury knows how to play hardball. People who think that illegals will just find alternatives to bank remittances have yet to meet the financial crimes enforcers. Carrying a little cash back for a friend? By the way, are you registered as an exchange? Selling Bitcoin? By the way, are you verifying citizenship? An overseas company using an overseas bank? We can ask your non-US bank to transfer your balance to the Treasury Department, and they will do it

And then there is money laundering. Money laundering, in practice, means anything that is not structuring. Structuring is defined, in practice, as anything that is not money laundering. It’s almost impossible to move money over a border without committing some kind of crime.

The beauty of using financial enforcement is that this shit is so scary that it would send most activists scurrying into their hidey holes rather than risk coming up on the radar of the IRS. And it’s truly weird how bipartisan the support is for any sort of revenue collection is.

No fan of Trump, but you’re wrong. California doesn’t like her (as evidenced by the last poll). No national independents would vote for her. Assuming Democrats constitute 30% of the real electorate (likely to vote), Harris only gets 20% since few center-left or leftist Democrats would vote for her. Trump has his core voting block of 20-25% of the electorate and you know he’d probably pick up at least 20% of the independent vote (should a corporate Democrat/hand-picked Hillary candidate get the nomination), and Trump wins. But Harris getting the nomination is extremely unlikely as it stands.

First is wealth. The wealth relies a great deal massive deficit spending and budget deficits. How much real wealth is being generated anymore? If the dollar ceases being the “mandatory” world currency that can all melt away pretty quickly.
Second, the powerful military is fine for sporadic high technology air attacks against low tech targets. I don’t think it would do quite as well against an enemy even close to our capabilities who has the ability and will to credibly shoot back. Not even Bolton is crazy enough to propose bending China or Russia to our policies by threatening to send carrier air groups into their waters. I also doubt we have the ground combat reserves or national willingness to take even Vietnam War rates of casualties.

The beauty of using financial enforcement is that …

Is that it works. Hence, they won’t use it because they don’t want to cut down on illegal immigration. It’s also why they won’t build a proper physical barrier, but gladly spent billions a decade ago building a “virtual wall” with high tech gizmos that was designed to pacify us while still permitting border crossings.
