America’s leading wit, Commentary editor John Podhoretz, explains that you can just tell who is an anti-Semite by looking at his filthy face:

Screenshot 2017-10-21 20.43.42

JPod is upset by Gareth Porter’s article in The American Conservative:

Trump Trashes Iran Deal to Satisfy Netanyahu

U.S-Iran policy is closer to Israel than it has been in years.
By GARETH PORTER • October 20, 2017

Porter’s reference to the JCPOA means the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action or the Iran Deal. Presumably, JPod has strong opinions on the subject.

But JPod is also triggered by Gareth Porter’s obviously anti-Semitic physiognomy. The physical existence of people who look like Gareth Porter is a macroaggression against JPod.

Here’s JPod’s response to Porter.

Screenshot 2017-10-21 21.04.19

Poor Gareth Porter only qualifies as “repellent” on the JPod Scale, unlike some big timers who have made it all the way to “reprllent.”

Few people can understand someone as brilliant and erudite as JPod. It's a cross he has to bear. Uh, or something.
    , @FPD72
The burning coal reference comes from Proverbs 25:21-22, in which the reader is encouraged to show kindness toward his enemies, thereby actually increasing the severity of God’s judgment upon them. This proverb is cited by Paul in Romans 12:20 in his argument that Christians are not to take personal vengeance upon those who do them harm but allow God to deal with our enemies.

It would seem that JPod never learned the lesson of Proverbs 25:21 about showing kindness to enemies. Instead, his preferred tact is to go straight to divine wrath.

It’s actually not clear where each of you fall on the Jpod Outrage Scale. You should see if he’s willing to provide a handy chart to answer questions like “Does ‘reprllent’ outweigh capital-O ‘Offal’?” Your racism makes you loathsome filth, but Porter’s is the very coal lodged in his heart.

I would be legitimately interested to know what, if any, criticisms of Israel Jpod considers to be within the bounds of acceptable discourse. Are Jews such as Chomsky who disagree with Israeli government policies loathsome, reprllent filth?

So he is really dangerous for Jews, more dangerous than a fierce antisemite (because of his coolness and judgment – distance implies superiority, which Jews can’t stand).
And for a Jewish neoconservative which once was at the heart of power, it must be intolerable that distant, superior-looking WASPs still exist and have their say.Wherefore did all their Jewish parents sacrifice so much of their lives? No wonder, Podhoretz Jr. gets unhinged.

  45. Boy, some Jews don’t have much tolerance for push back. They get a little static from some goy guy and fly off the handle spewing invective and trash talk. Their veneer of civilized behavior wears off pretty easily, just a rub will do it.

Which is what I’ve said all along. Their cultural values–especially regarding freedom of thought and expression–are not compatible with those of a democracy of equal voices. They are fundamentally a paternalistic, Theocratic people.

What an effort it must take for them to keep up the facade, but they are borne up by the hope or prospect that it won’t be long until they win out and can let the mask drop once and for all. Then a guy like JPod lets the mask slip and we get a glimpse of the beast locked in the closet (the one with whom the Palestinians are already intimately familiar).

Podhoretz left out the word “virulent.” I thought it was sorta like a grammatical law that “virulent” has to go before “anti-semite.” And if the guy looks like a “straight out of central casting” anti-semite, well, whose fault is that? It’s not Italians or Poles who determine who gets what parts in movies. And then he calls Steve “racist?” Let’s talk about racism, eh?

Anyway, something for Podhoretz to read that’ll re-inform him as to why we invaded Iraq — the same reasons why we’ll undoubtedly go mess with Iran and create another new tidal wave of immigrants who’ll pour into Europe and not Israel: Chapter 8 of Mearsheimer & Walt’s book.

The term “anti-Jew” is clearer, more accurate than “anti-semitic.”

“Semitic” includes many peoples of the levant, not just Jews.

“Anti-semitic” never made sense to me. It’s almost as if “anti-semitic” is an attempt to create a stop word slur that sounds vaguely pathological without triggering thoughts related to the “Jew” brand. Almost.

I confess that I'm having a hard time getting worked up over Iran having atomic weapons. I don't see them as particularly crazy - they know that if they ever even try to use one against us or Israel, that they'll wake up as radioactive glass. Same thing goes for them shipping a nuke off to Hamas. For Iran, it's mostly about getting Saudi Arabia to back down. Iranian rants about Israel and/or the US are for internal consumption, not real policy.

Thanks, Buzz Mohawk, for noting the resemblance between Gareth Porter and Bill Nye, the Science Guy. And thanks to this website for being a good resource for physiognomy lore. The lesson I draw from this is that you can recognize an Anti-Semite from the candy-corn shape of his head (how Halloween-appropriate!):

Gareth Porter has a long history of Leftist stands in terms of 'peace,' which in a white Gentile often signals WASP (or Continental Germanic) Elite. And if so, his ancestors may well have spent WW2 sending the children of poorer, and less deserving, whites to die so that the sons of the rich could live and get richer at the expense of the non-wealthy whites and to the benefit of Liberal Jews.

But your main point is more than valid; it is one of the things that best defines people like Podhoretz: their Asperger-like childish self-absorption means they always toss tantrums and turn on the very people who saved them previously. They are vicious ingrates who, however slowly, bring destruction crashing down on their very heads, as they blame everyone else for not saving them.

I don’t see them as particularly crazy – they know that if they ever even try to use one against us or Israel, that they’ll wake up as radioactive glass. Same thing goes for them shipping a nuke off to Hamas. For Iran, it’s mostly about getting Saudi Arabia to back down. Iranian rants about Israel and/or the US are for internal consumption, not real policy.

Gareth's whole tone in his article seems to be that it's better to let Iran go nuclear than cozy up to Israel. In this case, Gareth sounds like a deranged nut. Letting a bunch of religious crazies get hold of nuclear weapons, especially when those crazies are fundamentally hostile to the US, our culture, and our Christian religion and would be happy to destroy us, is insane.

What would our Middle Ages have been like if one side of the Catholic/Protestant religious wars had nuclear weapons? We would have had one big fat dead Europe, that's what.

Muslims who think everything would become fine if the US completely converted to Islam are kidding themselves. Islamic countries still get into wars with each other all the time. Iran would still be sulking and angry at the US if we were Muslim, because we'd be a great power with a lot of influence in the Middle East and they wouldn't be. We'd still be fighting over oil, oil pipelines, power, influence, etc.

Anyway, why the heck should we arm an enemy country just because Gareth thinks the pain of cozying up to a country that's already a friend of ours is so horrible? Gareth is just plain dumb.

those crazies are fundamentally hostile to the US, our culture, and our Christian religion

Too many instances of “our” and “we” in this comment. And “our Christian religion”?

Sounds like a “Fellow White Person” looking out for “our” interests.

Possibly. He is a white Gentile born in Middle America, but so were Barack Obama's whore of a mother and her Liberal parents.

Good points. It’s one thing I will never understand about these people, that they will “turn on the very people who saved them previously”, as you say.

This has been true it seems all through their history. Odd.

Almost.

Say, Moses, are Egyptians Semitic? Or Negroid?

1 a :a member of any of a number of peoples of ancient southwestern Asia including the Akkadians, Phoenicians, Hebrews, and Arabs
b :a descendant of these peoples
2 :a member of a modern people speaking a Semitic language

“Filthy” “antisemites” “straight-out-of-central-casting” look like they do because Jew casting directors pick them, presumably because their looks stick in Jewish craws somehow. White peoples’ faces that Pod the (Very) Lesser doesn’t like look like the faces that Jewish casting directors didn’t like (in a good way), and were subsequently un-liked by Pod the (Very) Lesser in much the same way (except not good). This tells Pod the (Very) Lesser that there’s no Jewish conspiracy about goys’ unliked faces.

Podhoretz is actually a satisfactory book reviewer. It's just that you can hardly make a living at that anymore.

He actually worked in topical commentary for 23 years before taking the editor's chair at Commentary. Norman Podhoretz retired in 1995. It was his deputy Neil Kozodoy who was the editor when JP was appointed. It's a reasonable wager they were able to give the magazine to JPod because the American Jewish Committee wanted to unload it and the Podhoretz camarilla were the only ones who wanted it. Evidently they can collar enough donor money to keep the Commentary staff employed.

Some of these publications are shoestring operations. I was astonished to discover that Irving Kristol's The Public Interest generally had only four paid employees. It was shut down in 2003 because (one surmises) with Kristol's retirement, there really wasn't anyone who wanted to run it anymore (though Kristol's deputy Adam Wolfson did so for a couple of years). The Rockford Institute's 'Center on Religion and Society' had only five employees. It's successor, the "Institute on Religion and Public Life" was entirely housed in an eight-room office suite. As for Commentary, it's not a healthy operation. If you look at the regular contributors to it's online site, you discover that their median age is over 55 and they have one contributor under 40. For a good while, their principal producer of verbiage was Jonathan Tobin, who actually made his career in the Jewish press rather than starboard opinion journalism. Mr. Tobin is nearly 70. Boy, some Jews don't have much tolerance for push back. They get a little static from some goy guy and fly off the handle spewing invective and trash talk. Their veneer of civilized behavior wears off pretty easily, just a rub will do it.

Which is what I've said all along. Their cultural values--especially regarding freedom of thought and expression--are not compatible with those of a democracy of equal voices. They are fundamentally a paternalistic, Theocratic people.

What an effort it must take for them to keep up the facade, but they are borne up by the hope or prospect that it won't be long until they win out and can let the mask drop once and for all. Then a guy like JPod lets the mask slip and we get a glimpse of the beast locked in the closet (the one with whom the Palestinians are already intimately familiar).

What is needed is a wide-spread ans long-lasting program, not of Anti-semitism, but
    Counter-Semitism.
