The Alarmist, Last week there was an article, I read it in the Sacramento Bee, about Kori Doty, a transgender, non binary ( I am not making that up) who gave birth to a child at a friend's house so that the British Columbia government could not assign the child a sex-gender. Doty prefers to be called "they." So I's guessing that "it' might not be a problem to some of "them."

  3. OT – where have all the good men gone?

    https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jul/07/egg-freezing-women-30s-40s-lack-of-eligible-men-knights-shining-armour

“New research on egg freezing has this week confirmed what single, well-educated women have instinctively known for years: there is a dearth of eligible men out there.

Professor Marcia Inhorn, an anthropologist at Yale University, and her colleagues interviewed 150 women in their late 30s and early 40s who opted for egg freezing in the US and Israel. Their results show that women were not intentionally postponing childbearing for educational or career reasons, as is often assumed in media coverage of this phenomenon, but rather preserving their remaining fertility because they did not have partners to create a family with. The researchers conclude that women see egg freezing as “a technological concession to the man deficit”, using it to “buy time” while continuing their search for a suitable partner to father their children.

Having begun similar research in the UK last year, at the London Women’s Clinic and the University of Cambridge Centre for Family Research, I can confirm that the picture on this side of the Atlantic looks pretty similar.”

i.e. we don't want people pointing out that

    (1) If you are a woman, the time to find a good husband is when you are in your 20s and at the peak of your physical attractiveness. The "eligible men" you want prefer women who are under 30 and don't care about your career success. Just because you are okay with a man in his 30s or 40s who is financially successful doesn't mean men want the same things in a woman.

    (2) If women prefer husbands who are at least as successful in their careers as them; while at the same time they want the same opportunities to make money as men, there's no way this can work out mathematically.
    , @guest
What constitutes "good" or "eligible?" Could be less than 1% of the male population, for all I know. Can we just call a spade a spade and say these women are too picky, improvident, and unable to run their own sex lives?

The oft-invoked 80-20 ratio doesn't hold, but a significant percentage of the male population sits unused on the shelf while these women bed a series of attractive strangers/not ultimately committed lovers. Now we have to listen to them bitch about a lack of men good enough to inseminate them. Bitching by lonely men, on the other hand, is met with derision, laughter, and fear, possibly with sexual harassment charges to follow.

Hey, here's an idea: lower your standards. Also, go back in time and rope in a hottie while you still have your looks and before you've carved the thousandth notch on your bedpost.

For a liberal, words are everything. For a progressive conservative, numbers come first and labels are incidental.

Names and labels are powerful. That’s why some the term “white man” is short and snappy and “LGBTQZD person of color” is too ridiculous to say often enough to build up an argument. That’s why “rednecks” voted for Donald Trump and a coalition too varied to catch in a phrase other than they’re obviously better, did not. Women, jews and homosexuals understand instinctively that if you can stop a person talking at all, he’ll never arrive at the stage where he can mention your own misbehavior.

This is also the reason why we lack terms for such enormously important ideas. There really is no comfortable way to refer to races other than with the countries they happen to live in. French whites are clearly different from British whites (look at ‘em) but the only thing to call them is “the French”, which leaves you open to the retort “citizenship is not a race”. You could say “the French race” as was usual in the past, but that would require you to know about that antique phrase, to be sturdy enough to weather the resulting hyperventilation and to know enough about the term “race” not to be caught in the usual simplistic fallacies. That’s a lot of work.

Then there’s the two ways in which the word “nation” is used which are too subtle for most people to understand but which always leaves an out for the (((verbally agile))) person you’re arguing with. Is it a people in a country or a race?

There's something really psychotic about mainline Protestanism today.

I understand folks who are basically secular--i'm secular. But if you have utter contempt for the tenets of your religion, they why are you there? Why are you showing up just to wreck it for people who actually have faith and want to practice their religion--in this case Christianity which is far and away the best religion in the world for building pleasant, law-abiding, cohesive societies?

Maybe that's the answer right there--the desire to wreck it. My answer is ... "women".

I am very interested to see if 4Chan can take down CNN in this war.

Before, 4Chan took down a bunch of separate hack journalists/critics. True, they were coordinated journos, and fed from the trough, but they were individuals. Now, 4Chan is taking on a much-better financed, consolidated organization.

It’s like when a guerilla army organizes itself enough to take on a standing army toe-to-toe.

I know 4Chan has the know-how, but I would caution one point: CNN is controlled by the CIA/FBI/NSA cabal. Those latter groups do know about hacking and meme warfare, even if they are behind the curve on this one. The Alphabet Agencies don’t want their precious mouthpieces to go down—it’ll give them less power—so they are likely preparing a counter-strike. They might be behind 4Chan skills-wise, but remember they have the resources to overwhelm and take some scalps.

If taking down CNN is too hard, 4Chan should focus on Kacynski, Zucker, Cuomo, Reid, and a few others responsible for this witchhunting. The CIA would give those scalps up and replace them with other owned agents rather than fight, while 4Chan could then save all-out frontal assaults for another day.

    Life imitates over-the-top comedy:

“Cop faces complaint for ID’ing transgender woman as male on traffic ticket

Shelby Kendall considers herself female, as does her doctor and the state of Florida.

But that wasn’t good enough for a Fort Lauderdale police officer who pulled her over in January and issued the transgender woman a ticket that identified her as male — even though her driver’s license lists her as female.

Now, Officer James Brinton faces a hearing Monday before the Citizens Police Review Board over the complaint Kendall filed after the incident.

“If I’ve done everything I need to do for the state of Florida to recognize me as a female, he doesn’t have a right to purposely mis-gender me,” Kendall, 48, said Friday. “It was inappropriate and kind of bullying and sends a message to the transgender community.”

Brinton told investigators he thought that the driver’s license information showing Kendall as female was a mistake.

When he asked Kendall why the driver’s license identified her as female, she told him she identified as female, according to the police investigation of Kendall’s complaint.

“Well, for the purposes of this citation, you’re a male,” Brinton told Kendall when he issued her the traffic citation, the report said.

Police investigators have recommended Brinton receive a letter of reprimand. The Citizens Police Review Board on Monday can endorse or object to the recommendation, with the final decision resting with the city manager.

More training about transgender issues should also be part of the police response to the incident, LGBT activist Michael Rajner said.

“What concerns me is that the officer felt it was not necessary for him to correct the [citation],” Rajner said. “He robbed that individual of her dignity.”

The encounter occurred about 5 p.m. Jan. 28, when Brinton said he noticed a black Chevrolet Camaro drag racing a Mustang, heading west on State Road 84, according to the police report.

Brinton told investigators that he followed the Camaro into a Winn-Dixie parking lot with his police lights on and then walked up to the parked car, driven by Kendall.

Kendall gave Brinton her license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance and the officer went back to his car to check the information, according to police.

Soon after, Kendall pulled her Camaro forward to let another driver pull out of a parking space she was blocking.

Brinton said he thought Kendall could have been trying to get away and the officer ran to the Camaro and ordered her out of the vehicle, the police report said.

Brinton handcuffed Kendall and searched her and the Camaro. Then, as Kendall was watched by a backup officer who had arrived at the scene, Brinton used his computer to prepare a citation, the report said.

Brinton’s computer took information scanned from Kendall’s license and automatically filled in portions of the citation. That included identifying Kendall as female, the police report said.

Brinton then changed the reckless driving citation to list Kendall as male. Brinton was asked by investigators why he didn’t re-write the ticket after Kendall said she identified as female. Brinton said he decided against it because the ticket was already saved and printed, according to the report.

Four days later, Kendall called police Internal Affairs to report her concerns about Brinton.

“I wasn’t really contesting why I was pulled over,” Kendall said. “I was more contesting how I was treated.”

The police department acknowledged Friday that its procedure is to base identifications on a valid Florida driver’s license.

“The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is committed to the equal treatment of all of our neighbors and visitors,” Police Chief Rick Maglione said in a statement released Friday. “Furthermore, we endeavor to take appropriate action if there are incidents discovered where it is alleged we veered from that position.

“I believe the department’s actions concerning the investigation before the Citizens’ Police Review Board clearly illustrates our commitment.”

Kendall, a real estate agent from Fort Lauderdale, said she started the process of transitioning to female in 2014.

In addition to undergoing physical changes, Kendall said she provided the state a letter from her doctor in order to have the “sex” designation on her driver’s license changed from male to female. Kendall said the long process of surgeries and other difficulties involved in transitioning is hard enough and shouldn’t include getting “flack” from the police.

“You can turn a very small, minor detail into a very big deal,” Kendall said. “I wanted to see change in the department in case other people experience the same thing.”

Hahaha! I've been STM* the whole time reading your news clip, Geezer. Here's the thing, Kendall, I was all on board with your beef about the cop till I read about the whole drag-racing-with-the-mustang part. It's not the racing that I have a problem with - the Camaro/Mustang rivalry will always be with us (I know, the Mustang is lighter, but the Camaro has more low-end torque, I get it!)

The problem, "Kendall", is that, as you stated, you spent a lot of effort in physically transitioning into a woman, bureaucratically changing into a woman, and maybe even menstrually changing into a woman. However, you missed the whole part about emotionally changing into a woman. Why in the Sam Hill are you worried about that Mustang beating you off the green light, when you should be adjusting your make-up, bra, and hair instead. Had you been pulled over for weaving among 3 lanes because you were doing your makeup with the rear-view mirror, then I imagine Johnny Law would have checked the right box without thinking.

Never go partial retard. If you are going to go retard, go all out FULL RETARD**.

Those who are faithful Anglicans probably remember the traditional, more dour Anglicanism of their youth and are helplessly clinging to that tradition and their fond memories of it. Its hard to give up the religion of one's culture and youth; just ask any Christian missionary working in a non-Christian country.

I would advise such folks to look up "Anglo-Catholicism" or, if that is too "papist", look at Orthodox churches in the east.

The hilarious part is that the only pushback within the Anglican Church is coming from the black bishops of Africa; they are staunchly socially conservative. At last black Africa is giving something back to the white Western world: moral resistance to the perils of relativism and MArxism.

I understand folks who are basically secular–i’m secular. But if you have utter contempt for the tenets of your religion, they why are you there? Why are you showing up just to wreck it for people who actually have faith and want to practice their religion–in this case Christianity which is far and away the best religion in the world for building pleasant, law-abiding, cohesive societies?

I'd say gay men and pro immigration advocates ruined Protestantism.
. I know a couple who joined the local episcopal cathederal 20 years ago. The finally left and took their annual 5 figure donation with them because of the hysterical pro open unending immigration sermons. Last I heard that church sponsored about 40 Syrian Muslim rapefugees. Not one woman priest and the bishop is that rarity in the episcopal church, a hetero man married to a woman.

    Agree 100%. Your "2 + 2 = 5" statement is a gem and spot on.

We have two Democrats in my NE Ohio area who are rhetorically all in with gay and trans politics. Their actual job is to maintain themselves in office, dispense patronage jobs, broker deals, and the like. Forcing a constituent, such as a businessman seeking an answer to a question, to agree that "2 + 2 = 5", to agree against his will to a position he finds odious, is how they compel obeisance. Anything less than instant enthusiasm could have the legislator dragging his feet on constituent service. It friggin' works.

Why won’t the MSM and educated white elite who is pushing this insanity mention that ethnics will kill trannies if they’re caught. Even white guys will if the tranny does the “crying game” on them.

I know of several local cases where trannies where throttled to extinction because they hit on guys and they found out she was a he and went bonkers on the freak. In one case it was a cross dressing cowboy who hit on Mexican day laborers at the local cantina, it’s body was found in the local lake within a hour. The other a young emo dressing like a girl and hitting on guys at a party until the guys got sick of it and sent it to the morgue.

In Los Angeles the Mexicans will beat the f**k out of them or even shank them if they’re caught in the wrong neighborhood.

Generally the MSM doesn’t know how to treat these cases. If they publicize them it shows the trannies as sick perverts trolling for sex partners. So in many cases what they do is skip all the relevant details and just tell people that some precious freak got throttled, shanked or shot for some mysterious reason.

It took a while, but the Protestant Reformation finally has degraded into what it always was: political expediency and mental illness disguised as rational criticism of the management of the One True Faith.

I salute those Protestant theologians of the past who actually weighed their positions with great care, but sadly they were always rearranging deck-chairs on a slow-moving Titanic.

You are being muddled: the Protestants didn’t leave the One True Faith; they left the Roman Catholic Church. That Church itself had flounced out from the True Faith in 1054.

The reformation was caused by the printing press. It made bibles widely available. Which meant the sex, violence, genocide, incest, treason, sadism etc of the Hebrew bible could be salivated over when secular porn was unavailable.

The Christian/ Catholic part of the bible is goody goody liberalism.
The early Protestants weren't Christians but weirdo wanna be jews. They didn't believe Jesus was God. As Calvin, Knox and others proclaimed, "there is but one God, the God of Israel."

Catholics believe Jesus is God. The reformation Protestants proclaimed Jesus was not God.

The Book of Dinah epitomizes the Hebrew bible. Dinah's father was the sheik of a Jewish tribe that shared a well with a non Jewish tribe. Father told Dinah to prance around the well unveiled and seduce the son of the non Jewish sheik. By holding out for marriage Dinah conned the guy into asking for marriage.

Jewish sheik conned non Jewish sheik into agreeing into to mass conversion including circumcision for all men and boys. Non Jewish sheik agreed. All the men and boys of the tribe were circumcised.

Jews knew that circumcision wounds became infected and on the third day the men and boys would be too sick to defend themselves.

So the Jews killed all the men and boys and made the women and girls slaves whom they sold at great profit.

That kind of sex, murder, and sadism was what got the reformation going.

The church of Martin Luther scans tens of millions of dollars a year from the taxpayers and floods Minnesota, the Dakotas and Idaho with the lowest trash Muslim Africans with average IQs in the 70s, in life long welfare who have a thriving FGM network going.

The Church of England has devised a new sacrament for trans . It's some kind of pseudo baptism to give them new name to fit their new gender and give them a blessing. The CofE, wankers at prayer.

I doubt there will be many of these rituals as the CofE is dead except for the funeral

With widely available porn including sadism there is no need to wallow in the Hebrew bible anymore.

Are there any Anglicans reading this? Are you still giving your tithes and time to that church?

Those who are faithful Anglicans probably remember the traditional, more dour Anglicanism of their youth and are helplessly clinging to that tradition and their fond memories of it. Its hard to give up the religion of one’s culture and youth; just ask any Christian missionary working in a non-Christian country.

I would advise such folks to look up “Anglo-Catholicism” or, if that is too “papist”, look at Orthodox churches in the east.

The hilarious part is that the only pushback within the Anglican Church is coming from the black bishops of Africa; they are staunchly socially conservative. At last black Africa is giving something back to the white Western world: moral resistance to the perils of relativism and MArxism.

. VIOLATIONS OF THE NEW YORK CITY HUMAN RIGHTS LAW’S PROHIBITIONS ON GENDER DISCRIMINATION

Gender discrimination under the NYCHRL includes discrimination on the basis of gender identity, gender expression, and transgender status. 7 The definition of gender also encompasses discrimination against someone for being intersex. Under the NYCHRL, gender discrimination can be based on one’s perceived or actual gender identity, which may or may not conform to one’s sex assigned at birth, or on the ways in which one expresses gender, such as through appearance or communication style. Gender discrimination is prohibited in employment, housing, public accommodations, discriminatory harassment, and bias-based profiling by police and exists whenever there is disparate treatment of an individual on account of gender. When an individual is treated “less well than others on account of their gender,” 8 that is gender discrimination under the NYCHRL.

The Commission can impose civil penalties up to $125,000 for violations, and up to $250,000 for violations that are the result of willful, wanton, or malicious conduct.

    Life imitates over-the-top comedy:

"Cop faces complaint for ID'ing transgender woman as male on traffic ticket

“I believe the department's actions concerning the investigation before the Citizens' Police Review Board clearly illustrates our commitment.”

Hahaha! I’ve been STM* the whole time reading your news clip, Geezer. Here’s the thing, Kendall, I was all on board with your beef about the cop till I read about the whole drag-racing-with-the-mustang part. It’s not the racing that I have a problem with – the Camaro/Mustang rivalry will always be with us (I know, the Mustang is lighter, but the Camaro has more low-end torque, I get it!)

The problem, “Kendall”, is that, as you stated, you spent a lot of effort in physically transitioning into a woman, bureaucratically changing into a woman, and maybe even menstrually changing into a woman.

  47. Meaning needlessly mean-spirited towards transgendered is not going to help win allies or advance discourse on serious, existential issues like HBD, open borders agendas, and Global South population catastrophe. In fact it turns off dissident moderates and liberals like myself, who otherwise will agree with you on verboten topics.

Steve likes to talk about being grounded in reality. Transgendered individuals are attested to across millennia and widely divergent cultures. It’s clearly a real facet of human biodiversity and I don’t see any legitimate way that it is harmful per se. It’s just different. Ironically genetic women like myself are much more tolerant of people identifying as women than men. The almost singular obsession with genetic males who identify as women is also a pretty clear sign many of you are not being fair or rational.

That said, like any group, there some nutter activists who take things to absurd places, like not being allowed to assume a person who is pregnant is a woman, and just plain crazy people associated with the phenomenon. It’s really not even a ‘movement’ or ideology, just people with some sort of shared birth defect or mental condition. Taking out legitimate grievances on specific actions on all trans people is the very definition of bigotry.

I take no position on your objections. I wish only to posit a theory why men object more to other men pretending to be women than do women themselves. I believe it is because the imposters overwhelmingly seek sexual activity with other men, and normal men are (rightly and understandably) horrified at the prospect of being deceived into intimage contact with the imposters. This revulsion is elemental and limbic; akin to the disgust reflex to, for example, eating faeces (and for similarly deep-seated, biochemical reasons). It will never be suppressed.

Transgendered individuals are attested to across millennia and widely divergent cultures.

There are many delusions which have been attested to across millennia. People believing themselves to be animals or divine beings, for example.

I don’t see any legitimate way that it is harmful per se.

I don't see any legitimate way that admitting that a man in a dress is really a man, regardless of what he says, is harmful per se either.

In fact it turns off dissident moderates and liberals like myself, who otherwise will agree with you on verboten topics.

If you're going to change your mind about HBD just because we refuse to play the stupid liberal game of the week, then what are you doing here now?

That said, like any group, there some nutter activists who take things to absurd places,

Well. Ten years ago, you would have been saying the same thing about the people who are currently demanding that we pretend men in dresses are women. That's the problem with you people. You always talk about how "Well, these are just nutter activists!", and then a few years later, you insist that we believe everything those nutter activists said back then.

And those "nutter activists" just managed to put a law in place in Canada that can literally send you to jail for telling the truth. So you'll excuse me if I don't even believe your "just a few nutter activists" line anyway.

It’s really not even a ‘movement’ or ideology, just people with some sort of shared birth defect or mental condition. Taking out legitimate grievances on specific actions on all trans people is the very definition of bigotry.

Refusing to play along with someone's delusions isn't "taking anything out on them". It's being honest.

Also, "bigotry" is a stupid word. Only idiots ever use it, and nobody on this site feels bad when someone calls them a "bigot" anymore.

And that's not to say my own hands are clean by that standard, or that we should censor facts to save feelings. I did start the thread about the Anglicans, but I thought it was too good to pass up and figured someone else would've brought it up anyway.

I do attempt to refer to people as their preferred gender, within reason, and in general I'm pretty laissez-faire with the non-violent, non-addiction-related decisions of consenting adults. I live in the ultra-lefty Boston area, and as far as I've seen letting trans people choose their own bath and locker rooms, as we do, has no appreciable effect on safety, so I don't take issue with that either.

But that preamble out of the way, I'd probably phrase my objection in a different way, but I too am very troubled by the issue Steve is referring to, which is that Canada will now criminally prosecute you for referring to a person by the "wrong" pronoun. Whatever our opinions on trans issues, I think any of us ought to be terrified by the ascendance worldwide of the totalitarian left.

Moving back to America, the transgender movement's agenda has evolved in ways that I believe simply can't be reconciled with a reasonable and humane society. It is one thing if we are talking about consenting adults, and quite another to talk about children.

Kids say the darnedest things, and one of the very most common is "I wish I were a boy/girl." This is an endearing (and virtually always meaningless) non-sequitur, not a medical self-diagnosis. Studies have consistently shown that even children who go through whole phases of insisting they are the opposite gender overwhelmingly identify with their birth gender as adults, although most do turn out to be gay.

Somehow, the mainstream left-liberal position has become that when your 4-year-old tells you "I wish I were a boy/girl," you must bring him/her to a child psychiatrist, who is professionally mandated to diagnose gender dysphoria (any other outcome being evil "conversion therapy," grounds for revocation of license), which must be followed up by pumping the tyke full of the opposite sex's puberty hormones.

This is sickening child abuse. Any parent who does such a thing should have their children taken away immediately and probably be jailed for good measure. But the mainstream left-liberal position is now black-is-white, not doing that is sickening child abuse, and any parents who don't follow that course of action should have CPS and the cops sicced on them.

If not supporting mandatory severe life-altering child abuse makes one a trans-hater, then I'm a trans-hater. Go trans-haters.

I am interested in vigorously opposing the people who insist that I assent to the claim that so-called transsexuals are not psychologically distressed. From the linked article:

“Mr Larner is seen walking two dogs as he launches into a tirade of racist abuse and spits in the face of a black cameraman.

“Foreigners, c**t,” Mr Larner shouts at the protesters. “Foreign c**ts. F*** off. F*** off you rapist c**ts.

“W*nkers, people like you stink like sh*t,” he says as the video comes to a close.

When one of the protestors walks up to Mr Larner and appears to headbutt him, Mr Larner retreats. As he does so he repeatedly shouts “National Front” and points to himself.”

Technically, none of that is actually racist, unless one uses the definition that “racism” is whatever liberals dislike.

I wonder how referring to Her/Him as "It" might go down.

The Alarmist, Last week there was an article, I read it in the Sacramento Bee, about Kori Doty, a transgender, non binary ( I am not making that up) who gave birth to a child at a friend’s house so that the British Columbia government could not assign the child a sex-gender. Doty prefers to be called “they.” So I’s guessing that “it’ might not be a problem to some of “them.”

We have two Democrats in my NE Ohio area who are rhetorically all in with gay and trans politics. Their actual job is to maintain themselves in office, dispense patronage jobs, broker deals, and the like. Forcing a constituent, such as a businessman seeking an answer to a question, to agree that “2 + 2 = 5″, to agree against his will to a position he finds odious, is how they compel obeisance. Anything less than instant enthusiasm could have the legislator dragging his feet on constituent service. It friggin’ works.

    Life imitates over-the-top comedy:

"Cop faces complaint for ID'ing transgender woman as male on traffic ticket

“I believe the department's actions concerning the investigation before the Citizens' Police Review Board clearly illustrates our commitment.”

“I wanted to see change in the department in case other people experience the same thing.”

    https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jul/07/egg-freezing-women-30s-40s-lack-of-eligible-men-knights-shining-armour

"New research on egg freezing has this week confirmed what single, well-educated women have instinctively known for years: there is a dearth of eligible men out there.

Having begun similar research in the UK last year, at the London Women’s Clinic and the University of Cambridge Centre for Family Research, I can confirm that the picture on this side of the Atlantic looks pretty similar."

i.e. we don’t want people pointing out that

    (1) If you are a woman, the time to find a good husband is when you are in your 20s and at the peak of your physical attractiveness. The “eligible men” you want prefer women who are under 30 and don’t care about your career success. Just because you are okay with a man in his 30s or 40s who is financially successful doesn’t mean men want the same things in a woman.

    (2) If women prefer husbands who are at least as successful in their careers as them; while at the same time they want the same opportunities to make money as men, there’s no way this can work out mathematically.

I don't understand how any normal person could continue to support that church. It's not even just apostate anymore, it's nuts.

Are there any Anglicans reading this? Are you still giving your tithes and time to that church?

As far as I’m concerned, Anglicanism has been a write-off for decades. They should just shut the whole thing down and invite in Eastern Orthodox missionaries after a suitable pause.

Women can play that game too, although they don’t seem to do it as often. This, although there’s no transgender element to it, is about the most bizarre sex case I’ve ever come across.

You are being muddled: the Protestants didn't leave the One True Faith; they left the Roman Catholic Church.

The early Protestants weren’t Christians but weirdo wanna be jews. They didn’t believe Jesus was God. As Calvin, Knox and others proclaimed, “there is but one God, the God of Israel.”

Catholics believe Jesus is God. The reformation Protestants proclaimed Jesus was not God.

The Book of Dinah epitomizes the Hebrew bible. Dinah’s father was the sheik of a Jewish tribe that shared a well with a non Jewish tribe.

It’s some kind of pseudo baptism to give them new name to fit their new gender and give them a blessing. The CofE, wankers at prayer.

I doubt there will be many of these rituals as the CofE is dead except for the funeral

With widely available porn including sadism there is no need to wallow in the Hebrew bible anymore.

Wasn’t it the episcopal church of America that first appointed gay men married to gay men as priests and even bishops? Or was it one of those wacko Puritan descendants like Congregationalists or universalist Unitarians. I’ve read there are more than 40 thousand Protestant sects.
How to choose which one channels the true word of God.

It's clearly a real facet of human biodiversity and I don't see any legitimate way that it is harmful per se. It's just different.

It's really not even a 'movement' or ideology, just people with some sort of shared birth defect or mental condition. Taking out legitimate grievances on specific actions on all trans people is the very definition of bigotry.

I’m actually mostly with you on this one (which does put me in the minority among Sailer commenters).

I’d prefer if we cut down on the unnecessary hostility in general, particularly towards groups that are potential allies and aren’t likely to mug you: women, LGBT, Jews, Asians, union workers, teachers…, and even more so towards individual allies of whatever description.

And that’s not to say my own hands are clean by that standard, or that we should censor facts to save feelings. I did start the thread about the Anglicans, but I thought it was too good to pass up and figured someone else would’ve brought it up anyway.

I do attempt to refer to people as their preferred gender, within reason, and in general I’m pretty laissez-faire with the non-violent, non-addiction-related decisions of consenting adults. I live in the ultra-lefty Boston area, and as far as I’ve seen letting trans people choose their own bath and locker rooms, as we do, has no appreciable effect on safety, so I don’t take issue with that either.

But that preamble out of the way, I’d probably phrase my objection in a different way, but I too am very troubled by the issue Steve is referring to, which is that Canada will now criminally prosecute you for referring to a person by the “wrong” pronoun. Whatever our opinions on trans issues, I think any of us ought to be terrified by the ascendance worldwide of the totalitarian left.

Moving back to America, the transgender movement’s agenda has evolved in ways that I believe simply can’t be reconciled with a reasonable and humane society. It is one thing if we are talking about consenting adults, and quite another to talk about children.

Kids say the darnedest things, and one of the very most common is “I wish I were a boy/girl.” This is an endearing (and virtually always meaningless) non-sequitur, not a medical self-diagnosis. Studies have consistently shown that even children who go through whole phases of insisting they are the opposite gender overwhelmingly identify with their birth gender as adults, although most do turn out to be gay.

Somehow, the mainstream left-liberal position has become that when your 4-year-old tells you “I wish I were a boy/girl,” you must bring him/her to a child psychiatrist, who is professionally mandated to diagnose gender dysphoria (any other outcome being evil “conversion therapy,” grounds for revocation of license), which must be followed up by pumping the tyke full of the opposite sex’s puberty hormones.

This is sickening child abuse. Any parent who does such a thing should have their children taken away immediately and probably be jailed for good measure. But the mainstream left-liberal position is now black-is-white, not doing that is sickening child abuse, and any parents who don’t follow that course of action should have CPS and the cops sicced on them.

If not supporting mandatory severe life-altering child abuse makes one a trans-hater, then I’m a trans-hater. Go trans-haters.

"women".

I’d say gay men and pro immigration advocates ruined Protestantism.

"comments are closed on this article"

i.e. we don't want people pointing out that

It’s the men who don’t want to get married.

While it's true that there are a significant number of men who have the option to get married but don't, I think there are still lots of men who do want to marry, particularly if the bride is thin, childless, and under 30.

In fact, these "where are all the good men?" articles are almost 100% written by women who are over 30 and refuse to accept that aging is uniquely detrimental to female sexual marketplace value. Even in their 30s, most of these women could get married if they were willing to accept a man who is not tall and with a solid career.

"It's the men who don't want to get married"

With good reason, but are we even talking about marriage, here?

More likely the women freezing their eggs can't get any form of trustworthy commitment from the sort of men they want to commit to them. I.e. me who can have sex with women of equal or superior attractiveness if they feel like it.

This makes me wonder how soon it will be before straight boys who refuse to date or take a trans to the prom will be shamed and banished from their school. Couple of years ago this would have been laughable, now I am not so sure.

A big fuss was made of the Houses of Parliament chaplain. She was a giant of a black woman. I estimated about 6’1 and at least 500 pounds. Her head was shaved. Her skin was very dark. Her features were barely human.

Her outfit was a massive red robe, some sort of bogus Catholic cardinal costume. She carried the bishops crozier I think it’s called.

She was big as those people on TV who can’t wear anything but 30 yards of fabric.
She looked like one of those 19th century freak show fat ladies.

I was trying to say that these women are insisting on a husband who has both - height and career. Of course, it also depends on who the woman is, what kind of shape she is in, and how she has aged.

Anyway, the bottom line is that in the West, women have never had it so good in terms of dating and marriage options. The reason they perceive difficulty is that (1) they can't accept that between ages 25 and 35, they go from having an extreme advantage to having a modest advantage; and (2) they want and pursue the same income opportunities as men while eschewing men who make less money.

The problem isn't with trannies per as, but their insane histrionics and tendency towards self destructive attention whoring that leads to a Chernobyl effect.

Trannies that aren't insane (Blair White) do okay with the Right. Unfortunately, as much as the original commenter wants to pretend otherwise, there isn't some huge block of transsexuals who are interested in nationalism.

A number of valid points very well said. I particularly like your second paragraph. Those of us on the Right need to stop lumping together all the groups traditionally associated with the Left and start engaging in more "enemy of my enemy is my friend" calculations/strategies (but without compromising on the really important stuff).

I was trying to say that these women are insisting on a husband who has both – height and career. Of course, it also depends on who the woman is, what kind of shape she is in, and how she has aged.

Anyway, the bottom line is that in the West, women have never had it so good in terms of dating and marriage options. The reason they perceive difficulty is that (1) they can’t accept that between ages 25 and 35, they go from having an extreme advantage to having a modest advantage; and (2) they want and pursue the same income opportunities as men while eschewing men who make less money.

It's clearly a real facet of human biodiversity and I don't see any legitimate way that it is harmful per se. It's just different.

It's really not even a 'movement' or ideology, just people with some sort of shared birth defect or mental condition. Taking out legitimate grievances on specific actions on all trans people is the very definition of bigotry.

Your trolling is hilarious, please continue, Mr. Soros is getting his money’s worth out of you, freak.

Wait … I was told open borders Jews and Israel Jews were at odds with each other. Now the Israel ambassador says Soros criticism is anti semantec.

    If the poster instead read:

“Let’s not allow (((Soros))) to have the last laugh !”

He might have a case. The poster does not mention his partial Jewishness.

Maybe need to rewrite the great works of literature to clarify the authors’ cryptic references to LBGT. E.g.

Leftism is getting more and more irrational as time goes on. Their positions on practically everything at this point are untenable, its held together by irrational fears, projection, lies, and hatred of white men.

Just looking at a list of now 71 different pronouns, who the h*ll could possibly keep up with (or would waste their time learning) all these different things, their different uses (subject, object, possessive, plural, etc)? It's ridiculous. God only knows how something like that is going to get translated into a language like French down the road where all objects have a formal pronoun. Chairs are Xir but handbags are Xim....

And people are supposed to keep a straight face when someone wants to be addressed by 'Neutrois' or tells you they're a two spirit elf or some nonsense?

It’s something of a feature of Leftism due to the “No enemy on tbe Left” principle that many of them accept. There’s nothing to prevent the most extreme wackos from hijacking the enterprise. If moderates try to halt the runaway way train, they’re defenestrated as “fascists”.

"women".

Women do bear a large portion of tbe responsibility for the foundering os Western societies.

They know all this gender foolishness is irrational and hypocritical. They know that men who dress as women are not women.

The whole point is to force you to say 2+2=5, to continue to break down defiance to their will and to identify those who resist.

In reality they couldn't give 2 sh*ts about transgender rights, just use them as useful idiots to achieve their ends.

I’ve no doubt that there’s a lot of simple opportunism on the Left, but I get the strong impression that many of them are in fact delusional. They really believe.

I’m not interested in being mean to so-called transsexuals. I am interested in vigorously opposing the people who insist that I assent to the claim that so-called transsexuals are not psychologically distressed. Those are pretty much the same people whom I oppose regarding the other issues you mention.

With good reason, but are we even talking about marriage, here?

More likely the women freezing their eggs can’t get any form of trustworthy commitment from the sort of men they want to commit to them. I.e. me who can have sex with women of equal or superior attractiveness if they feel like it.

OT - where have all the good men gone?

    https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jul/07/egg-freezing-women-30s-40s-lack-of-eligible-men-knights-shining-armour

"New research on egg freezing has this week confirmed what single, well-educated women have instinctively known for years: there is a dearth of eligible men out there.

Having begun similar research in the UK last year, at the London Women’s Clinic and the University of Cambridge Centre for Family Research, I can confirm that the picture on this side of the Atlantic looks pretty similar."

What constitutes “good” or “eligible?” Could be less than 1% of the male population, for all I know. Can we just call a spade a spade and say these women are too picky, improvident, and unable to run their own sex lives?

The oft-invoked 80-20 ratio doesn’t hold, but a significant percentage of the male population sits unused on the shelf while these women bed a series of attractive strangers/not ultimately committed lovers. Now we have to listen to them bitch about a lack of men good enough to inseminate them. Bitching by lonely men, on the other hand, is met with derision, laughter, and fear, possibly with sexual harassment charges to follow.

Hey, here’s an idea: lower your standards. Also, go back in time and rope in a hottie while you still have your looks and before you’ve carved the thousandth notch on your bedpost.

"comments are closed on this article"

i.e. we don't want people pointing out that

It can work out mathematically with harems. I assume that’s where we’re headed.
