Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Beverly Hills) embodies the trend toward Immigrant Narcissism:

In other words: What makes America great is me.

And my cousins.

Luckily for you, I’ve got lots more cousins where these came from.

It would be racist of America to not let all my cousins in.

You wouldn’t want to be racist, now would you?

"Solipsism would be a more accurate term– “you folks wouldn’t exist without us.”"

Which defines this post by our intrepid host. The fact is that you, me, and Mr. Sailer all had our ancestors who came to this great land and were on some level persecuted for being an immigrants...even white Europeans! However, most made the best of the situation for themselves and their posterity.

Our old country was just as awesome as our current country and our new country of the future!

    Transgendering Stonewall

The intersectional left revises the history of the gay rights struggle in service of a political agenda that finds virtue in marginalization

    by James Kirchick

    11 July 2019

Was Anne Frank “bisexual?” Keen to claim her as one of their own, some queer activists are citing previously overlooked passages from the complete and unabridged second edition of Frank’s diary as evidence that the world’s most famous Holocaust victim swung both ways. “I remember that once when I slept with a girl friend I had a strong desire to kiss her, and that I did do so,” Frank wrote about a sleepover with her best friend. Disregard, if you can, the strange fixation with the sexuality of a hormonal adolescent girl; seizing upon the private musings of a 14-year-old about her school crush as prima-facie evidence of bisexuality does little to illuminate, and much to occlude, the reason she and her family were hiding in the attic, which is that they were Jews. It is of a piece with other, modish forms of historical revisionism driven by contemporary political demands, like the claim that Muslims are “the new Jews,” that Syrian refugees are the modern-day equivalent of Jews fleeing Nazi Germany, or that detention centers holding individuals who voluntarily cross the internationally recognized border of a democratic country are akin to “concentration camps” where people—based upon their ethnicity—were forcibly herded prior to their mass extermination at the hands of a ruthlessly efficient totalitarian state.

Stonewall revisionism has even reached the upper echelons of the gay mainstream establishment, with the Human Rights Campaign, the country’s leading LGBT advocacy group, and Mayor Pete Buttigieg, the first serious openly gay presidential candidate, mouthing its mantras. “Harassed by local police simply for congregating, Stonewall’s LGBTQ patrons—most of whom were trans women of color—decided to take a stand and fight back against the brutal intimidation they regularly faced at the hands of police,” asserts an article on the website of HRC. Buttigieg, no doubt smarting from accusations that he’s not gay enough, last month tweeted that “#Pride celebrates a movement that traces back to the courage of trans women of color 50 years ago this weekend.”

Contemporaneous press accounts and the most credible scholarship both confirm that the crowd which partook in the Stonewall uprising was primarily not trans, female, and of color, but gay, male, and white. “Hundreds of young men went on a rampage in Greenwich Village,” the Times reported the day after the uprising began, using “young men” repeatedly to describe the rioters. A story in the next day’s paper again referred to “large crowds of young men” engaged in fisticuffs with police. The Village Voice reported that, of the 200 people ejected from the Stonewall Inn the first night of the riots, only five people dressed as women were arrested.

Gay people have been lied about for millennia—by organized religion, by the medical establishment, by the media, by governments. Much of our history remains in the closet, hidden by generations of enforced secrecy and private shame. That this latest bit of deceit comes from another constituent in the LGBT acronym doesn’t make it any more acceptable. “If people start telling stories not as they were but as they would like them to be, that procedure can be used by anybody for any purpose,” Robert Bryan, the Stonewall veteran, told the Times—words that those who perpetually bemoan our truthfully challenged president would be especially well advised to heed.

What might have been a laudable effort to highlight the role of transgender people alongside gay people in a major historical event has been corrupted by an effort to expunge gay people, and gay men in particular, from that story. After the AIDS epidemic nearly destroyed a generation of gay men, the stealing of Stonewall amounts to a second erasure.

    🙂

Gotta pander to that key "trans woman of color" demographic, which makes up about .00001% of the electorate.

I guess it can't really be about their votes so much as that they represent the current singularity of Diversity Pokeman points. So pandering to them is a virtue signalling multiplier.

  6. What would make America even greater is if the immigrants who did come here didn’t bitch non-stop about how awful America and Americans are. What a huge sacrifice it must have been for them to leave their perfect countries and their perfect countrymen to come here and live amongst us racists, bigots, xenophobes, scofflaws, and n’er-do-wells. 7. Most people think rather simplistically, even magically, about public policy. That’s how invisible racism can cause so many bad things, how one-party communist dictatorship would bring about paradise on earth, and how open borders will cleanse the original sins of American birth.

When offering free medical care, housing, food, child support, and education to 50 million entrants a year for a decade does not cleanse the sins of the USA but instead makes them more insidious and vivid (like “racism” since 1964 has steadily worsened the more has been done about it, accelerating with the election of Obama), and the country collapses into political and social disorder, the only remaining solution will be woke-tech-bolshevism.

WTB will perfect the complete control of information alongside silent and deftly targeted regulation (cancellation of bank account, government benefits, credit, job, gun, kitchen knife) against natives predicted to harbor immigration-control or anti-war thoughts. Tea Partiers and war protesters will not be shot down by tanks, they will, without acknowledgement, be quietly denied their smartphones and driver’s licenses. Hitler and Stalin were clumsy amateurs at totalitarian control.

As information becomes completely controlled, obscure factions of Alphabets, Kochists, Soristas, and Zuckians will contend behind the scenes for central command, and successive winners will ruthlessly strengthen the monopoly of power in order to purge past rivals and deter future ones. To the extent that members of the inner party better know the truth, some will pretend otherwise, but most will find refuge in double-think (the concept of double-think, however, will be deleted from youtube and wikipedia).

As the effects of stealthy racism, patriarchy, and nativism apparently persist and worsen with the decline in the number of Americans, the struggles against them will intensify in a run-away process, eventually including masochistic group suicides of white Protestants (when covered by CNN, reported with sarcastic and sneering commentary) and unpunished flashmob cleansings and occupations of native-born zones.

Every year will be said to be better than the last, and past years will be increasingly portrayed as worse, according to 24-hour news and social media, despite interstates lined with polyglot millions in tent cities policed by drones, robocops, and the google translate app. All wars will be popular wars and will be fought by international mercenaries in order to force global inclusion of marginalized groups, and increase the flow of “refugees” into the territory formerly known as the USA.

  11. This is all ultimately the result of economic illiteracy (Per capita GDP declines are never mentioned) and immigrants not being a small enough minority. It has unfortunate implications because it means the solution is ‘core America’ being more assertive in it’s cultural dominance.

And there is no effective way to do this politely, it must be done forcefully. The unspoken truth is assimilation is code for being a small minority that isn’t culturally validated.

Another unfortunate implication is that the great wave for all it’s assimilation by 2019 (Except among a group accustomed to being a diaspora) undermined America’s identity permanently enough to perhaps make it impossible to define sufficiently to deal with this new larger and more alien mass of people without American identity becoming meaningless. Each wave of immigration, small or big requires that identity to be stretched a little more to accommodate it, may we have reached it’s breaking point?

As the blue-eyed white Buttigieg demonstrates, being an ‘immigrant’ per say undermines one’s connection to a land and makes one more inclined to narcissistically argue for more immigration. Modern America has to pretend ethnicity and nativism don’t matter and that race is all that counts. But that really isn’t true. I’ve seen plenty of white immigrants in Europe get all twitchy and thin-skinned doing a ‘what have the native population ever done for us’ routine and lumping in a skilled German engineer with an African boat person in equal economic contribution to their adoptive country.

The essential problem is you aren’t allowed to make arguments against immigration because you aren’t allowed to suggest that the presence of an immigration can have any negative impact. It’s what I like to call the immigrant veto. The second a non-North Western European lands in a North Western European country (Or derived countries) the natives lose all self-determination.

Growing in Southern California in the 1970s and 80s? “Hey man, you need to go back to China.” Yeah right.

But seriously, this guy is about the same age as me. Can I state definitively that in his 50 years on this Earth no one ever said this to him, or pulled their eyes out at the side to make fun of his eyes on the elementary school play ground? Of course not. Such is life in multicultural Southern California. Kids tease each other over their weight, whether they have a funny-sounding name, or their hair, whatever. And then they move on to the next target to pick on.

How about I recount every insult and borderline assault perpetrated against me by black people and use that as an argument for this or that policy related to black people and their political greiveances? There aren’t many such incidents and they are trivial, but they actually happened, a couple were a little scary at the time, and they were racially motivated (use of racial slurs is the giveaway).

  24. Growing up in America, I didn’t have people telling me to go anywhere. All the white people I lived around understood that we were all Americans. This was nice.

Industrial resources in California could not be developed without the aid of ‘Chinese cheap labor’. That the Central Pacific Railroad was built by the agency of Chinese labor; that every agricultural and mechanical industry has been developed through this agency; and in fact the whole material prosperity of the Pacific Coast is due alone to this ‘blessing in disguise’ which a wise Providence has conferred upon this people...This plan and logical deduction is, if it is His will that it should be so, that the heathen may be converted to Christianity.

--Reverend S.L. Baldwin, Boston, [date unknown]

They [the Chinese] are a harmless race when white men either let them alone or treat them no worse than dogs, for they seldom think of resenting the vilest insults or the cruelest injuries. They are quiet, peaceable, free from drunkenness, and industrious as the day is long. So long as a Chinaman has strength to use his hands he needs no support from anybody; white men often complain of want of work, but a Chinaman offers no such complaint; he manages to find something to do.

India_____Yes _________Lots, but like it better here__The British Raj

    China____Yes_________More than you’d think______Didn’t think of W Civ

    Indians___Yes_________Still pissed off____________Didn’t stop immigration

Mexico___Yes_________Can’t say no to free________Spanish conquistadors

    Somalia__God, yes_____Can’t wait to lecture us_____European colonialism

Based on my unscientific chart, I think that there are a lot of national groups (not all) who hate us because we look like Europeans who oppressed them in past centuries, and in spite of the fact that Western Civilization ultimately gave even average people the ability to live like kings in past ages only dreamt about.

Only the Amerindians really hate us for us, and some of their hatred is instructive; I think they’re still mad at themselves about not uniting and barring the door to all those Europeans. A word to the wise is sufficient.

What would make America even greater is if the immigrants who did come here didn't bitch non-stop about how awful America and Americans are. What a huge sacrifice it must have been for them to leave their perfect countries and their perfect countrymen to come here and live amongst us racists, bigots, xenophobes, scofflaws, and n'er-do-wells. I wouldn't want to keep them from their paradisiacal homelands any longer.

Tiny, have you read the recent tome We Waz D'riginal Stockbrokers N'shit by a Howard University Professor of African American Studies?

It demonstrates how Subsaharan Africans actually invented the first systems of commodities trading with stable rates of exchange for goats, wives, spears, and other commodities. Later on, Europeans "discovered" this system and brought it back to the Continent applying it to porkbellies and timber and the like without giving the Africans credit for inventing it.

  35. Ted, we now know why Americans want you to go back to China.

Gotta pander to that key “trans woman of color” demographic, which makes up about .00001% of the electorate.

I guess it can’t really be about their votes so much as that they represent the current singularity of Diversity Pokeman points. So pandering to them is a virtue signalling multiplier.

Always amusing when catching a glimpse of ethno self-interest in all its naked glory.

Since its founding, the Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships and nearly $1 milion in fellowships and internships.

Maybe we need some sort of "Index of Resentment" that shows how much each of the worlds ethnic and national groups hate Americans, how much, and why.

    Country___Hate Us?____How Much Hate?_________Why Hate Americans?

India_____Yes _________Lots, but like it better here__The British Raj

    China____Yes_________More than you'd think______Didn't think of W Civ

    Indians___Yes_________Still pissed off____________Didn't stop immigration

Mexico___Yes_________Can't say no to free________Spanish conquistadors

    Somalia__God, yes_____Can't wait to lecture us_____European colonialism

Based on my unscientific chart, I think that there are a lot of national groups (not all) who hate us because we look like Europeans who oppressed them in past centuries, and in spite of the fact that Western Civilization ultimately gave even average people the ability to live like kings in past ages only dreamt about.

Only the Amerindians really hate us for us, and some of their hatred is instructive; I think they're still mad at themselves about not uniting and barring the door to all those Europeans. A word to the wise is sufficient.

Injuns were quite keen to team up with colonists to bash other injuns because guns etc.

How presumptuous -- and deranged -- must one be to even conceive such a thought?

“How presumptuous — and deranged — must one be to even conceive such a thought?”

Industrial resources in California could not be developed without the aid of ‘Chinese cheap labor’. That the Central Pacific Railroad was built by the agency of Chinese labor; that every agricultural and mechanical industry has been developed through this agency; and in fact the whole material prosperity of the Pacific Coast is due alone to this ‘blessing in disguise’ which a wise Providence has conferred upon this people…This plan and logical deduction is, if it is His will that it should be so, that the heathen may be converted to Christianity.

–Reverend S.L.

–Mark Twain, Roughing It, (Chapter XIII, “The Gentle, Inoffensive Chinese”), 1871

Don't play Goy, I mean coy here. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Italians, for example, were generally looked as rabble rousers for their union activities. Men such as Arturo Giovannitti, Carlo Tresca, and Joe Ettor were in the forefront of organizing Italians and other immigrant laborers in demanding better working conditions and shorter working hours in a wide range of activities. Nativists viewed such efforts as being "violent socialist endeavors". Another exampleare the "studies" conducted on Polish immigrants in the early 20th century, most notably by Carl Brigham. Relying heaving on English aptitude tests from the American military, Brigham concluded Poles have inferior intelligence, with their population diluting the superior "Nordic" American stock.

"Nearly half of Italian immigrants went back home."

Source? Was it single men or entire families? For what reasons?

"That made the assimilation of the ones who stayed that much easier– for them and for us."

So you believe in magic dirt and civic nationalism for immigrants. Great to know!

Nativists wanted higher wages for natives. The only reason Italians– and other nationalities of the day– were let in is that they worked much more cheaply than the locals.

You could at least be honest enough to admit that.

Many Italian immigrants never planned to stay in the United States permanently. The proportion returning to Italy varied between 11 percent and 73 percent. Unlike most earlier immigrants to America, they did not want to farm, which implied a permanence that did not figure in their plans.
