From the New York Times:

Violent Crime in U.S. Rises for Second Consecutive Year
By TIMOTHY WILLIAMS SEPT. 25, 2017

Violent crime, including homicides, rose for the second consecutive year in 2016, driven by increases in a few urban centers including Baltimore, Chicago and Las Vegas, according to F.B.I. data released Monday.

Violent crimes increased nationally last year by 4.1 percent and homicides rose by 8.6 percent, one year after violence increased by 3.9 percent and homicides jumped by 10.8 percent. A total of 17,250 people were murdered in 2016, the F.B.I. said.

While crime over all and violent crime remain well below their levels of the 1980s and 1990s, last year was the first time violent crime increased in consecutive years since 2005 and 2006, according to the F.B.I. data, which is collected from local police departments around the nation and released annually.

Police officials and criminologists continue to express puzzlement about the upsurge.

It seems pretty obvious that the murder bulge has been concentrated among blacks killing blacks, especially in cities where Black Lives Matter was active and successful at discouraging cops. In both Baltimore and Chicago, for example, the increase in murders started the same week as BLM protests.

There were 14,164 homicides in 2014 (down slightly from 14,319 in 2013).

2014 was the year of Ferguson and the emergence of BLM, launching the contemporary era of homicide. In 2015 there were 15,583 killings. In 2016, 17,250.

That’s about 4,450 incremental homicides over the 2014 base rate during the last two years of the Obama Administration. That’s 1,000 more dead bodies than all the blacks lynched in U.S. history (according to the NAACP).

Heckuva job, Obammie.

Which ones did they ask? How about asking the cops themselves?

Instead of asking the cops, the Times then goes on to blame the cops, of course. Something about them causing themselves to become delegitimized!

Trump is a bit slow with the wall and unreliable on DACA, but his handling of the NFL (the ceremonial role of the president) is quite adroit. The NFL watching demographic strikes me as something that is squarely in Trump’s constituency. E.g. white working class, men in general. It is not your latte sipping demographic who revolve their lives around NFL.

Essentially he is “forking” them as in chess. Either the owners and the players do as he suggests (a win and a moral victory for the base) or they fight it and lose out with their demographic. The fact that the left is reflexively just opposing and doubling down on anything Trump suggests is really problematic, as they say, for the NFL establishment. If the NFL viewers weren’t kind of ok with the occasional player taking a knee during the anthem, they are certainly going to be insulted by whole teams failing to take the field during the anthem. And this will come to impact both ratings and attendance

    , @Inquiring Mind
How do you know that the Open Borders faction is not getting "forked" over DACA?

The "deal" has always been some degree of amnesty in exchange for some manner of toughening enforcement going forward. Not just with immigration, think of "sales tax amnesties" where you "come clean about what you owe" in exchange for no prosecution now but the hammer will come down on you if you don't 'fess up. Heck, that was the "deal" with the "Truth and Reconciliation" commissions in post minority-rule South Africa. Even the Gang of Eight deal had some enforcement even if it was only sham enforcement.

I hear all of these demands of a "clean DACA/DREAMer bill, no Wall, no conditions!" Well that's great, but that wasn't really the "mandate" from the last election. Furthermore, if the DACA'd people are such an urgent priority, their advocates would be willing to trade something in exchange for a deal? You know, like, DACA is serious business, we want that, people are in need and at risk, and in exchange, we will agree to your stupid, ugly, symbolic Wall?

Or is the symbolism of not having the Wall that important that the advocates would let the DREAM people twist in the wind? That is the forking I see taking place.

    , @AnotherDad

Trump is a bit slow with the wall and unreliable on DACA, but his handling of the NFL (the ceremonial role of the president) is quite adroit.

I can't really tell whether it's all super-duper adroit or not. I think he is pushing the NFL further into a difficult corner, but then it's one they have painted themselves.

Trump is actually a bit exposed here oddly because he's such a racial moderate.

What's been missing--from the white/citizenist/conservative side, is our nominal leaders actually making the point that BLM's assertions are a big fat lie:

Blacks are not in fact being picked on or persecuted by the police. (On average, obvious there are individual cases of animus.) A couple years back when I looked into the data, blacks accounted for about 30% of police shootings (killings). This is indeed twice the black % of the young male population, but black homicide rates are 6-8x whites and they account for 50+% of homicides. (Homicide would seem to be a relevant category to measure against because it's "some guy with a gun" which kicks off most of these police killings.) The bottom line is blacks are actually *undershot* by police. Based on black crime rates you would expect blacks to actually be something close to 50% of police shootings/killings and blacks are killed at a considerably lower rate than that.

Blacks committing 50% homicides and being only 30% of police shootings/killings would seem to be some pretty easy number to get out there, to point out that the police are not "singling out blacks" and that BLM's message is basically a lie. Yet our so-called "conservative" politicians are unable to offer up even this much.

At least they admit that there is an increase. Lots of denial out there.

The fact that homicide is up more than other crime? That is exactly what you would expect if ‘de-policing’ were occurring. Homicides can’t just be ignored. Neighborhoods aren’t keen on do it yourself body disposal. Meanwhile — other violent crimes are less likely to be noticed — if the underlying rate is constant.

I think we all know rather a lot about the Who/Whom of it. Technology should be reducing crime, all else being equal. Newer cars are too difficult to steal for amateurs. People carry less cash. Etc.

  8. Gotta love the way criminologists feel free to flout their own incompetence. We’re the trained experts in this area, but we have no idea what’s going on, and even if we did we don’t have the courage to tell you guys. For lesser professionals, such incompetence would be a source of shame and unemployment.

It's part of the wider 'expert problem' or as Nassim Nicholas Taleb calls them IYIs - Intellectuals Yet Idiots.

We've seen this in many fields....including the financial meltdown that started 2007 due to regulatory expert failure, Brexit vote expert doomsayers who are clearly wrong, climate actuals being well South of catastrophe expounding experts 25 years and 5 IPCC reports after the prediction of climate Armageddon, dietary advice change, and much more besides.

Criminologists, by and large, are paid by the government. 'Nuff said.

For those of you who think Hillary won’t run again….

Just stop with this nonsense. Hillary's just whining--it's what she does. She won't run again--unless she's even nuttier than I think. And if so she not only won't get the Democrat nomination, she'll just embarrass herself. Hillary lost an election that everyone thought she--and any decent Democratic candidate--should have been able win. A lot of Democrats weren't to happy to be strong armed into having her as the candidate in the first place, but losing to Trump is unforgiveable.

    ~~

For the record, the last losing candidate to get his party's nomination again was Nixon 49 years ago!

And his party--while not happy--did not think Nixon should have walked all over Kennedy. (And some thought it was stolen. Pretty much all thought the broadcast media had been in the tank for Kennedy.) And Nixon had to wait eight years with a conservative debacle in between.

Prior to that you had Stevenson--who had lost to America's war hero. And Dewey who had lost to Roosevelt during the middle of the War--which looked to be successfully concluded soon.

Hillary doesn't have these sorts of excuses. She got her turn at the plate with the bases loaded--and struck out. She's done.

Track violence via ZIP code back to 1960 or earlier and align the stats with social trends. There is no national violence increase; it's only local. Remove those areas from the stats and America practically becomes a sanctuary country for civility (well, minus television).

    Because it's an inflection point.

Crime is in a long secular trend down (first derivative negative) and suddenly turns around in 2014 and shoots up. That's what's news, what's worth noting.

That the crime rate isn't at its 1980--pre-lock-'em up--peak, or it's 1991 crack war high isn't the point. It's that the trend line turned from being a good one, to a really bad one.

Blacks have a different attitude toward crime. Police should go fetal until blacks start begging for more law enforcement.

The black-on-black crime was so bad in the crack cocaine era that the national negro leaders started playing the race card: white folks were racist since we didn't crack down on crime in the ghetto. They were begging cops to kick in doors, do drug raids and stop-and-frisks. Black folks demanded that penalties for crack cocaine (as opposed to powdered cocaine) be increased, because crack was some special kind of evil coke.

Once we put enough bruthas in jail and the ghetto got back to a comfy level of crime black folks changed their tune and started complaining about the racism of "mandatory minimums" and the "school to prison pipeline". White folks were now racist for the opposite reason: white folks sent too many black folks to jail.

The police just need to back off until the black-on-black murder rate gets high enough that black folks again start complaining about not enough law enforcement. Black folks are just different that way.

Sort of inconvenient for the narrative – either cops aggressively doing their jobs does reduce violent crime, or black bodies suddenly got a lot more violent towards each other.

At the end of the day, I think most racial activists don’t really care how many bodies there are as long as they get to rail against institutions that they claim are a part of white supremacy. The increase in deaths far outruns the number of black bodies killed by cops in any given year, but that won’t get anyone to take a knee in a football game.

Here is what the NFL’s solution should look like:

    1. Open a charity pool that will fund black rights\wrongs related causes.

    2. Invite players to donate portions of their salary to this fund. Owners will match donations dollar for dollar.

    3. Post the list of players donating and the amounts.

Place the burden on the players to put up or shut up. Collectively they earn billions of dollars each year and could use that money to great effect. Either the players actually do something positive or they look like laughable imbeciles who do not really care about the blacks they left behind.

Hillary Clinton and the Democrat Party are riling up the murderous thugs in the Black Lives Matter mob, but Hillary Clinton does not want to live anywhere near Blacks of any type.

Hypocrite Hillary Clinton went out of her way to make sure that she moved to a town that was mostly White. Baby boomer hypocrite Hillary Clinton says she adores and loves every damn Black in the United States. Hillary Clinton is a disgusting baby boomer hypocrite who wants you to live near the murderous thugs in the Black Lives Matter mob. Hillary Clinton laughs at her own lies while she is swigging wine in her fully fenced and Secret Service protected imperial compound in the mostly White town of Chappaqua, New York.

When is Hillary Clinton going to live near the murderous thugs in Baltimore or Chicago who populate the Black Lives Matter mob? Never, that’s when.

Shouldn't the kneelers scratch out (or tape over) the U.S. flag decal the league makes them wear on the back of their helmets. Are they men or slaves?

The flag was placed on the helmet in order to celebrate an imperialistic war against people of color!

THE SIDELINES : U.S. Flag to Grace NFL Helmets

    December 20, 1990|From L.A. Times Wire Services

NEW YORK — NFL players will wear American flag decals on their helmets, starting in this weekend’s games.

“This presentation of the American flag is a very appropriate method for the NFL clubs and players to affirm their support for the men and women of our armed forces on duty in Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf,” Commissioner Paul Tagliabue said today.

  33. Wonder how much longer they can get away with the “gosh, we don’t know what the reason can possibly beeee…” denial. Somehow, I doubt our media has integrity to admit they were wrong about the Ferguson Effect. Everything is on hold until the New York Times can figure out a way to retcon ownership of FE – without calling it that, of course. Something like “yeah, we were the first to recognize police weren’t doing their jobs.” Leaving out all context, of course. And without media held to blame as one of the architects of this new burst in negricide. Without media delegitimization of the country’s police forces would never have happened.

  38. Two things,

I think that a percentage black killed would be a more accurate and informative statistic than number black killed. If you take a percentage of black America killed over the years 1860-1960 and percent of black america killed in 2014-2017, that may be helpful in making a comparison.

Also, are there statistics on Black-on-black homicides during the periods during slavery and immediately following? That also might be a useful comparison.

Also, since you are into this kind of thing, why dont you create a “montage” or a list of all the terms these articles have used to describe the police force’s bewilderment. I am sure you will see that they go to great lengths to find new ways of saying the same thing

    The term
    express puzzlement
shows that they have exhausted normal and common phrases.

Trump is a bit slow with the wall and unreliable on DACA, but his handling of the NFL (the ceremonial role of the president) is quite adroit. The NFL watching demographic strikes me as something that is squarely in Trump's constituency. E.g. white working class, men in general. It is not your latte sipping demographic who revolve their lives around NFL.

Essentially he is "forking" them as in chess. Either the owners and the players do as he suggests (a win and a moral victory for the base) or they fight it and lose out with their demographic. The fact that the left is reflexively just opposing and doubling down on anything Trump suggests is really problematic, as they say, for the NFL establishment. If the NFL viewers weren't kind of ok with the occasional player taking a knee during the anthem, they are certainly going to be insulted by whole teams failing to take the field during the anthem. And this will come to impact both ratings and attendance

How do you know that the Open Borders faction is not getting “forked” over DACA?

The “deal” has always been some degree of amnesty in exchange for some manner of toughening enforcement going forward. Not just with immigration, think of “sales tax amnesties” where you “come clean about what you owe” in exchange for no prosecution now but the hammer will come down on you if you don’t ‘fess up. Heck, that was the “deal” with the “Truth and Reconciliation” commissions in post minority-rule South Africa. Even the Gang of Eight deal had some enforcement even if it was only sham enforcement.

I hear all of these demands of a “clean DACA/DREAMer bill, no Wall, no conditions!” Well that’s great, but that wasn’t really the “mandate” from the last election. Furthermore, if the DACA’d people are such an urgent priority, their advocates would be willing to trade something in exchange for a deal? You know, like, DACA is serious business, we want that, people are in need and at risk, and in exchange, we will agree to your stupid, ugly, symbolic Wall?

Or is the symbolism of not having the Wall that important that the advocates would let the DREAM people twist in the wind? That is the forking I see taking place.

He would also force the Dreamers to pay a fine as part of the process to grant them green cards....such a fine could raise the required funds required to build the wall, which would result in Mexicans financing the construction of the Wall. A fine of $7,500 would raise $15 billion from the Dreamers.

Sort of inconvenient for the narrative - either cops aggressively doing their jobs does reduce violent crime, or black bodies suddenly got a lot more violent towards each other.

At the end of the day, I think most racial activists don't really care how many bodies there are as long as they get to rail against institutions that they claim are a part of white supremacy. The increase in deaths far outruns the number of black bodies killed by cops in any given year, but that won't get anyone to take a knee in a football game.

White conservatives will get blamed for the deaths. We will be blamed for not taxing ourselves to redistribute to blacks, for not passing gun bans, and for being the primary purchasers of drugs (which is regrettably true).

Obama had the opportunity to save thousands of lives and improve race relations…instead he used his justice department to spear head the racial grievances of the left and instigate the BLM movement which is one of the reasons race relations in America are deteriorating.

it really began when Obama politicized the Trayvon Martin shooting which resulted in the BLM movement. President Obama could have helped avoid the riots and higher death rates if he had condemned the Trayvon supporters and stood up for George Zimmerman, a civilian Person of Color and Obama supporter…

The problem is black women's preferences for the most violent black men they can find. Remember the experiment with wild and tame foxes--in three generations relatively tame foxes bred with other relatively tame foxes produced foxes so tame that they would follow people around. Wild fox breeding produced foxes so aggressive they flung themselves against the cage bars to try and get at people. We're breeding a race of extremely violent black criminals. Given the fact that a generation is only about 15 years in the black community, we'll start seeing spillover into the white community by about 2040, if not sooner. The highest form of statesmanship is the prevention of evils while they are still preventible.

It's win lose. They off fellow black thugs, but there's a lot of black violence across racial lines. And it isn't all--or even most--some scumbag white drug dealers. It's innocent white people who are either just "in the way" or targeted out of racial hate.

Also all this black violence makes our nation's cities less livable. And you could feel reasonably safe in you white neighborhood--say Ferguson Missouri in 1970--and then the blacks come and bring their violence with them. You have to pack up and leave, or tolerate it.

If we could truly separate, then sure--while i'd wish them to get their act together, black violence wouldn't be my problem. But that's not the nation I've got.

The left/Soros/Obama/Hillary/the Democrats ginning up more black violence has made our nation worse. Killed some useless black thugs--sure. But still made things worse--less civilized.

Here is what the NFL's solution should look like:

The cynic in me believes they probably won't raise beyond a few million. This will make them look stupid and drive away their support.

Trump is a bit slow with the wall and unreliable on DACA, but his handling of the NFL (the ceremonial role of the president) is quite adroit.

I can’t really tell whether it’s all super-duper adroit or not. I think he is pushing the NFL further into a difficult corner, but then it’s one they have painted themselves.

Trump is actually a bit exposed here oddly because he’s such a racial moderate.

What’s been missing–from the white/citizenist/conservative side, is our nominal leaders actually making the point that BLM’s assertions are a big fat lie:

Blacks are not in fact being picked on or persecuted by the police. (On average, obvious there are individual cases of animus.) A couple years back when I looked into the data, blacks accounted for about 30% of police shootings (killings). This is indeed twice the black % of the young male population, but black homicide rates are 6-8x whites and they account for 50+% of homicides. (Homicide would seem to be a relevant category to measure against because it’s “some guy with a gun” which kicks off most of these police killings.) The bottom line is blacks are actually *undershot* by police. Based on black crime rates you would expect blacks to actually be something close to 50% of police shootings/killings and blacks are killed at a considerably lower rate than that.

Blacks committing 50% homicides and being only 30% of police shootings/killings would seem to be some pretty easy number to get out there, to point out that the police are not “singling out blacks” and that BLM’s message is basically a lie. Yet our so-called “conservative” politicians are unable to offer up even this much.

The NFL is 60-70% black, it already functions as a shakedown. A real shakedown would be for an alt-right movement demanding the NFL pay the medical costs of the largely white HS player base that suffers the effects of CTE, and then demand NFL funding for a rugby-like substite.

How exactly is this a problem?

We should see it for the boon that it is. Look the more these thugs off themselves in senseless violence the better it is for us. The fact we should encourage it because it's beneficial to society at large.

    It's a win win.

The problem is black women’s preferences for the most violent black men they can find. Remember the experiment with wild and tame foxes–in three generations relatively tame foxes bred with other relatively tame foxes produced foxes so tame that they would follow people around. Wild fox breeding produced foxes so aggressive they flung themselves against the cage bars to try and get at people. We’re breeding a race of extremely violent black criminals. Given the fact that a generation is only about 15 years in the black community, we’ll start seeing spillover into the white community by about 2040, if not sooner. The highest form of statesmanship is the prevention of evils while they are still preventible.

The last FBI expanded homicide data table 6 – homicides by race – was last updated in 2013. It then disappeared.

    http://homicidecenter.org/services/data-sharing/

There is obviously a lot of homicide data. Further, there are public lists and newspaper lists and tables in excel format.

    OK ….

Everyone knows that the increase is an increase in black homicides. That is the only reason it has been tolerated.

However, I don’t blame any and all academics for ducking the question. Why piss on the third rail?

The future — in my opinion — will include expanded, crowdsourced like data on crime.

It can’t be covered up. The internet is a bitch if you want to control the narrative.

    Check this out:

    http://homicidecenter.org/services/resources/police-shootings/

A crowdsourced homicide database could be constructed for a reasonable amount of money.

It is ‘only’ about 15,000 – 20,000 per year. Baltimore, Chicago, and St Louis is roughly 10% and is mostly done.

Police shootings are in the neighborhood of 1,000/year if they are inclusive.

A homicide crowd sourced database would contain 15,000 – 25,000 records. The best way to do it is to include everything and allow users to sort for the exact definition they want. Hence the larger number.

The public/open sourced police shootings database and some of the city data sets that are updated from the news daily have illustrated the data quality problems in the FBI and official data.

There are ALWAYS going to be data quality concerns. Like a car. You want Toyota quality, not Fiat quality data. One reason that you can’t put too fine a point on small changes.

Searching for 'Black family 1950s' I found the foto below -- also many similar ones.

BREAKDOWN OF THE BLACK FAMILY, AND ITS CONSEQUENCES

Economics professor Walter E. Williams writes: "According to the 1938 Encyclopaedia of the Social Sciences, that year 11 percent of black children and 3 percent of white children were born to unwed mothers." In mid-1960s America, the nation's out-of-wedlock birth rate (which stood at 7.7 percent at the time) began a rapid and relentless climb across all demographic lines, a climb that would continue unabated until 1994, when the Welfare Reform Act helped put the brakes on that trend. Today the overall American illegitimacy rate is about 40.7 percent (29.1 percent for non-Hispanic whites). For blacks, it is about 72 percent—approximately three times the level of black illegitimacy that existed when the War on Poverty began in 1964.

Etc -- also the advent of the Civil Rights movement: "that existed when the War on Poverty began" -- yet this subject/tragedy gets practically no national attention.

For instance the high school is now 48% Hispanic whereas just a few years ago it was 90% black and going back to the 50's/60's it was 90% white.

Of course the whole way those stats are presented is intentionally misleading (white/Hispanic conflation) which is what is important–and I believe was your intended point.

Also, since you are into this kind of thing, why dont you create a "montage" or a list of all the terms these articles have used to describe the police force's bewilderment. I am sure you will see that they go to great lengths to find new ways of saying the same thing

    The term
    express puzzlement
shows that they have exhausted normal and common phrases.

Well, the black community doesn't seem to mind. If anything, the leaders, elected and un-elected, of said community want even less policing than they have now.

Blacks have a different attitude toward crime. Police should go fetal until blacks start begging for more law enforcement.

The black-on-black crime was so bad in the crack cocaine era that the national negro leaders started playing the race card: white folks were racist since we didn’t crack down on crime in the ghetto. They were begging cops to kick in doors, do drug raids and stop-and-frisks. Black folks demanded that penalties for crack cocaine (as opposed to powdered cocaine) be increased, because crack was some special kind of evil coke.

Once we put enough bruthas in jail and the ghetto got back to a comfy level of crime black folks changed their tune and started complaining about the racism of “mandatory minimums” and the “school to prison pipeline”. White folks were now racist for the opposite reason: white folks sent too many black folks to jail.

The police just need to back off until the black-on-black murder rate gets high enough that black folks again start complaining about not enough law enforcement. Black folks are just different that way.

For those of you who think Hillary won’t run again….

Just stop with this nonsense. Hillary’s just whining–it’s what she does. She won’t run again–unless she’s even nuttier than I think. And if so she not only won’t get the Democrat nomination, she’ll just embarrass herself. Hillary lost an election that everyone thought she–and any decent Democratic candidate–should have been able win. A lot of Democrats weren’t to happy to be strong armed into having her as the candidate in the first place, but losing to Trump is unforgiveable.

    ~~

For the record, the last losing candidate to get his party’s nomination again was Nixon 49 years ago!

And his party–while not happy–did not think Nixon should have walked all over Kennedy. (And some thought it was stolen. Pretty much all thought the broadcast media had been in the tank for Kennedy.) And Nixon had to wait eight years with a conservative debacle in between.

Prior to that you had Stevenson–who had lost to America’s war hero. And Dewey who had lost to Roosevelt during the middle of the War–which looked to be successfully concluded soon.

Hillary doesn’t have these sorts of excuses. She got her turn at the plate with the bases loaded–and struck out. She’s done.

Why choose 2014 as the base year? The murder rate was slightly lower than W’s last year, just as that was marginally lower than in Clinton’s:

    Because it’s an inflection point.

Crime is in a long secular trend down (first derivative negative) and suddenly turns around in 2014 and shoots up. That’s what’s news, what’s worth noting.

That the crime rate isn’t at its 1980–pre-lock-’em up–peak, or it’s 1991 crack war high isn’t the point. It’s that the trend line turned from being a good one, to a really bad one.

Looks like the whole BLM thing was a disaster for blacks. They should oppose it. Instead they fanatically support it. This is typical of black thinking. I have a friend in the health care industry. He told me that you never see a black person donate an organ. Supposedly blacks don’t donate organs because “they don’t want whites to get them”. Of course most people need a match as genetically similar to themselves as possible. This means that blacks rarely GET organs as there are no suitable black donors. One more example of black self-defeating stupidity.

Maywood, IL is where I got cancer treatments in 1997. From driving by, it looked like a decent place popular among blacks with respectable jobs, like nurse at the Loyola medical center.

Searching for ‘Black family 1950s’ I found the foto below — also many similar ones.

BREAKDOWN OF THE BLACK FAMILY, AND ITS CONSEQUENCES

Economics professor Walter E. Williams writes: “According to the 1938 Encyclopaedia of the Social Sciences, that year 11 percent of black children and 3 percent of white children were born to unwed mothers.” In mid-1960s America, the nation’s out-of-wedlock birth rate (which stood at 7.7 percent at the time) began a rapid and relentless climb across all demographic lines, a climb that would continue unabated until 1994, when the Welfare Reform Act helped put the brakes on that trend. Today the overall American illegitimacy rate is about 40.7 percent (29.1 percent for non-Hispanic whites). For blacks, it is about 72 percent—approximately three times the level of black illegitimacy that existed when the War on Poverty began in 1964.

Etc — also the advent of the Civil Rights movement: “that existed when the War on Poverty began” — yet this subject/tragedy gets practically no national attention.

Looks like the whole BLM thing was a disaster for blacks. They should oppose it. Instead they fanatically support it. This is typical of black thinking. I have a friend in the health care industry. He told me that you never see a black person donate an organ. Supposedly blacks don't donate organs because "they don't want whites to get them". Of course most people need a match as genetically similar to themselves as possible. This means that blacks rarely GET organs as there are no suitable black donors. One more example of black self-defeating stupidity.

When I went to get my dl renewed all the posters advertising organ donation pictured blacks and Hispanics. Not sure if they were trying to be funny.

In today’s world that would be hate speech.

You are probably referring to the Loyola/Hines medical complex. This is located in the extreme south of Maywood Ill., just to the south is NorthRiverside. Most people stay out of Maywood while driving to work and back.A lot of Mexicans moving in. For instance the high school is now 48% Hispanic whereas just a few years ago it was 90% black and going back to the 50′s/60′s it was 90% white.

Why choose 2014 as the base year? The murder rate was slightly lower than W’s last year, just as that was marginally lower than in Clinton’s:

    Because it's an inflection point.

Crime is in a long secular trend down (first derivative negative) and suddenly turns around in 2014 and shoots up. That's what's news, what's worth noting.

That the crime rate isn't at its 1980--pre-lock-'em up--peak, or it's 1991 crack war high isn't the point. It's that the trend line turned from being a good one, to a really bad one.

I am of the opinion that crime was down in certain periods because more criminals were in jail during those periods. In my area criminals are being released due to overcrowding.
More criminals in jail less crime.
