From ABC News:

After FBI Interview, Hillary Clinton Goes to See ‘Hamilton’

What did Hillary Clinton decide to do the night following her interview with the FBI regarding her private email server?

Go see “Hamilton,” of course.

… The Clintons have also already seen “Hamilton.” They saw it before it came to Broadway at the Public Theater.

Also, on July 12, “Hamilton” is doing a special performance of the show as a fundraiser for Clinton’s campaign.

This would make a good speech for Mrs. Clinton (played by Nikki Minaj) to rap in Hillary!:

“If we broke up the big banks tomorrow,” Mrs. Clinton asked the audience of black, white and Hispanic union members, “would that end racism? Would that end sexism? Would that end discrimination against the L.G.B.T. community?,” she said, using an abbreviation for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. “Would that make people feel more welcoming to immigrants overnight?”

At each question, the crowd called back with a resounding no.

In other words, such utopian goals as ending racism, ending sexism, ending LGBT discrimination, and welcoming immigrants overnight (!) are touted as very important struggles in order to distract from economic/financial issues such as the power of large investment banks, etc.

    Well done, Hillary.

In History and Utopia, Cioran plays the game of trying to imagine how, behind the scenes, the powerful and clever deride the sleepwalking dullars they manipulate for power. They must laugh a lot, and despise them a lot, Cioran guesses.

I think the only one thing we can blame is nature, for how unmercifully it distributes intellect.

Once somebody gets the chance to manipulate somebody else, it's always going to happen. What shouldn't be there is the chance to.
The Founding Fathers had designed weights and balances that, if their recommendations were followed (first of all, that on immigration), would have preserved freedom in the USA.

Once you have ample immigration, you have difference between peoples. Difference causes resentment (even the difference between homosexuals, disregarded by the many, and heterosexuals); resentment is a body of "anger energy" that awaits the best demagogue or demagoguery to turn into its arm. It's a resource, like oil. It's there to be used by someone.

The difference is, oilfields and seams can't be created. Social anger can. So, they have this most precious of instruments of control and power, with the fantastic attribute that it can be created, apparently with no limit.
You don't exoect them to restrain themselves from creating and fostering resentment, feelings of entitlement and victimhood, do you?

  3. I watched part of the 60 Minutes story on the Hamilton “musical,” and the parts of the show I heard sounded awful. Are people just pretending to like it? (I hope so.)

    • Replies: @Louie
It's just easily digestible hip hop for white people, which lets them learn about history while also feeling hip themselves. Like a 40-something white person jamming out to a black Eyed Peas song.
    , @whorefinder
Exactly my feeling. The whole show's plot/premise and it's rich-and-famous worshipers and critical toe licking just make it sound like a giant Virtue Signalling Event for the Leftist elite.

Seriously, it sounds the kind of mock-parody of a Big Important Broadway Musical you'd see lampooned in a movie/play-within-a-play/novel designed to satirize modern Broadway. I keep expecting to wake up and have the entire thing be the musical at the heart of a remake of The Producers, or else the premise of a South Park episode (yes, yes, I know they made their own musical).

It's like when Oscar season rolls around and some movie gets touted as The GREAT New Lefty-Hollywood Movie That Will Change Everyone's Life. Then non-elite people watch it and shrug and go "nbd" or, worse, "man, that sucked."

American Beauty, anyone? The Social Network, Crash, Selma, and Twelve Years a Slave all also spring to mind.

One thing: ya gotta hand it to Miranda. The dude knows how to get a lot of media to pay attention to and talk up a show only a small number of rich-and-connected people have seen. The man is a good promoter, if nothing else.

The actors/rappers in it are very talented and intelligent. I have heard a few speak on TV. The show is witty, kinetic and high spirited. If I saw it I would find it clever and interesting for about ten minutes, then boredom would set in. The only thing that would keep me from leaving at intermission would be the damn thousand dollars I spent on a ticket!
    , @Ivy
Liking Hamilton seems to have some subtext and peer pressure, somewhat like not stopping the clapping at a Stalin speech.
    , @Glossy
I have an allergic reaction to rapping, so the little bits of it that I've seen sounded awful to me. But some people seem to like rapping, so that wouldn't be an obstacle for them. Are all the people who genuinely like rapping stupid? Perhaps. I mean, the guys who review hip hop for the Village Voice or whatever aren't stupid, but they might be faking their enthusiasm.
  4. I did not understand her comment. Is she saying there is some connection between banks and racism? Or there is not? It seems to make no sense.

Or it's just some exercise in 1984-style duckspeak (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Newspeak_words#Duckspeak) (I hear George Orwell may have been deriding the prattle of Fabian Socialists with that term, not sure whether true)

She's saying we need to prioritize fighting "racism" and other types of "bigotry" before we think about inconveniencing the plutocrats in any way.
    , @pink_point
Her comment is the cleverest thing a skillful demagogue would say to the crowd she was addressing.

It is obviously a cheap trick to distract from the fact that she is the choice for the mega rich, there are still left wingers out there that believe that they stand for the poor. The political narrative is shifting so fast however that I don't think this will be needed at all in the near future, being left wing will for almost everyone mean being pro billionaire and pro non white.
    , @Mr. Anon
"I did not understand her comment. Is she saying there is some connection between banks and racism? Or there is not? It seems to make no sense."

It is a statement of obvious misdirection that denotes an almost boundless cynicism and hypocrisy. It was almost as brazen as when Bill Clinton denounced the Defence of Marriage Act while he was signing it - literally during the very act of signing the thing.

(Canadians went total fag, but that is to be expected.)

2017 will see the beginnings of the break up of the EU, WN rising, Israeli national policies being enacted throughout the West, with massive pushback from leftist, Jew led neoreactionaries.

Internationalist Cuckservatives will join with Hillary to oppress the Massed Whites. All sort of halal organisations will pour massive amounts of oil money into ensuring that the White West be destroyed from within. Liking Hamilton seems to have some subtext and peer pressure, somewhat like not stopping the clapping at a Stalin speech.

I listened to a podcast recently from Joe Posnanski, the sportswriter, and Michael Schur, a writer/producer for the TV series 'Parks and Recreation'. The whole podcast was a discussion of Posnanski having taken his early-adolescent daughter to see 'Hamilton'. These two grown men, who normally talk nothing but sports, were desperate to outdo each other in their love and devotion to Hamilton. Posnanski recounted how impossibly high he and his daughter had set their expectations for the show as they prepared to see it -- and then how each and every moment of the show overwhelmingly exceeded those expecations. Both Schur and Posnanski used the word 'transcendent' over and over and over. They described seeing the show as one of the high-water marks in their lives. Posnanski then described how his daughter, and many other members of the congregation, uh, audience, wept openly throughout the show at their sheer overwhelming joy at being in its presence. And on and on and on . . . .

The difference with the Stalin speech is that everyone there knew that Stalin was a monomanical madman, so they kept clapping out of fear. Many in the 'Hamilton' crowd seem to be clapping out of love . . . .

Some people say black isn’t a color, because optical experts who understand the physics involved in the illusion of color to your optic nerves will tell you its imperceptive aspects violate the concept of color of which there are 256 hues, but that’s just racist isn’t it? When you think about it, everything is racist based on the color of your skin or the melanin content of your epidermis. And in this topsy turvy world of newspeak, obfuscation, dogmatic pseudoscientific beliefs and cultural marxism, the Truth is lost on those who find it hurts their feelings.

Nah, I don't think Miranda is gay. He comes from a lefty-politically powerful family; he would have no issue coming out as gay and being accepted by them. Despite any hype, he's not some ruffian from the ghetto who's got religious and social baggage there (not that it happens a lot there these days anyway). He married a woman unconnected with Broadway; if he were gay, he wouldn't bother marrying, or only marry some rich backer chick.

Perhaps one other reason Miranda is reaping a lot of hype is because Broadway sees him as the Youngish Straight Musical Maker.

I watched part of the 60 Minutes story on the Hamilton "musical," and the parts of the show I heard sounded awful. Are people just pretending to like it? (I hope so.)

I have an allergic reaction to rapping, so the little bits of it that I’ve seen sounded awful to me. But some people seem to like rapping, so that wouldn’t be an obstacle for them. Are all the people who genuinely like rapping stupid? Perhaps. I mean, the guys who review hip hop for the Village Voice or whatever aren’t stupid, but they might be faking their enthusiasm.

From the first "rapper" I can remember, Blondie, I always thought rapping was for retards. The intro should be, "RRRRrrrrrapping For Reeeeee-Tards!". Morons. It's a venue for those without talent to push entertainment out to those without the ability to recognize the truth of it. Along the way, rapping as experienced and internalized by Blaxx did a Hell of a lot of damage and the carnage continues to this day.

As for Whites and their uneasy relationship to it all? Feels like the people that used to claim they "liked" the band Little Feat. Little Feat sucked, worst band ever after Molly Hatchet. No one liked Little Feat, nobody. But for some reason, it was cool to say you DID.

Bad era, the 70's. The retarded idiocy required in claiming to like Little Feat when you didn't is only exceeded by the White retards' idiocy in claiming to like Rap. Because it's cool. You endure it, this Hamilton. Then there are the cop killer rappers, Cube and Snoop and all those other assholes of no account or talent, smile nicely on Broadway at this blaspheme, pay proper homage to the retards and go home, hoping never to hear it again. She's BAD, which isn't the same as good, but appeals to who she wants to vote for her. The Low-Info Emo ignorant, imperceptive Anti-White bigots who hate success because its just unfair to losers and lazy bums.
Some people say black isn't a color, because optical experts who understand the physics involved in the illusion of color to your optic nerves will tell you its imperceptive aspects violate the concept of color of which there are 256 hues, but that's just racist isn't it? When you think about it, everything is racist based on the color of your skin or the melanin content of your epidermis. And in this topsy turvy world of newspeak, obfuscation, dogmatic pseudoscientific beliefs and cultural marxism, the Truth is lost on those who find it hurts their feelings.
So, what difference at this point does it make?

At each question, the crowd called back with a resounding no.

In other words, such utopian goals as ending racism, ending sexism, ending LGBT discrimination, and welcoming immigrants overnight (!) are touted as very important struggles in order to distract from economic/financial issues such as the power of large investment banks, etc.

It wasn't. Uptight, repressed squares in the suburbs - essentially the plot of any number of movies dating back to the late 1950s. Hollywood is still pushing that line as edgy, whereas in reality it is trite, predictable, and wildly out of date. America in 2000 (let alone today) is hardly repressed and uptight. Nah, I don’t think Miranda is gay. He comes from a lefty-politically powerful family; he would have no issue coming out as gay and being accepted by them. Despite any hype, he’s not some ruffian from the ghetto who’s got religious and social baggage there (not that it happens a lot there these days anyway). He married a woman unconnected with Broadway; if he were gay, he wouldn’t bother marrying, or only marry some rich backer chick.

Liking Hamilton seems to have some subtext and peer pressure, somewhat like not stopping the clapping at a Stalin speech.

I listened to a podcast recently from Joe Posnanski, the sportswriter, and Michael Schur, a writer/producer for the TV series ‘Parks and Recreation’. The whole podcast was a discussion of Posnanski having taken his early-adolescent daughter to see ‘Hamilton’. These two grown men, who normally talk nothing but sports, were desperate to outdo each other in their love and devotion to Hamilton. Posnanski recounted how impossibly high he and his daughter had set their expectations for the show as they prepared to see it — and then how each and every moment of the show overwhelmingly exceeded those expecations. Both Schur and Posnanski used the word ‘transcendent’ over and over and over.

Many in the ‘Hamilton’ crowd seem to be clapping out of love . . . .
