Another data point on the eternal question of who is on top of the Progressive Stack … From the New York Times:

Kevin Hart Steps Down as Oscars Host After Criticism Over Homophobic Tweets

By Jacey Fortin
Dec. 6, 2018

Days after it was announced that Kevin Hart would host the 2019 Academy Awards, backlash over some of his past comments prompted him to respond to his critics on Instagram. Then on Friday, he announced that he was not going to host the event.

Mr. Hart was in trouble because several of his tweets and comments — most of them several years old — used the word “gay” as an insult or were otherwise deemed homophobic.

I love it when the White haters eat each other. A lot of White men gays are ultra liberal but resent the effects of affirmative action in their lives. Also, gay men are disproportionately victims of street crime being out and about at night instead of going home. Street robbers lay in wait around bars clubs theaters restaurants to rob people out at night.

And gay men are out and about at night a bit or a lot boozed up and the blacks prey on them. Always 3 to 1 of course. Seldom more than 3 because more than 3 too many people to divvy up the loot. Very seldom 2 because Whitey might be able to fight back

A new take on “strong wimmin”!

Transgender MMA Fighter Breaks Female Opponent’s Skull. Are we getting too “politically correct” with reality

Transgender MMA Fighter Fallon Fox beat her female opponent Tamika Brents so severely that she suffered a broken skull. This took place in 2014.

In an interview following the fight, Brents said:

I’ve fought a lot of women and have never felt the strength that I felt in a fight as I did that night. I can’t answer whether it’s because she was born a man or not because I’m not a doctor. I can only say, I’ve never felt so overpowered ever in my life and I am an abnormally strong female in my own right… I still disagree with Fox fighting. Any other job or career I say have a go at it, but when it comes to a combat sport I think it just isn’t fair.

    Ashley McGuire said:

“Twenty years ago, if a man hit a woman so hard that he sent her to the hospital, he’d be in prison. Now he can get paid for it.”

(What happens when you kick a transgender in the ‘nads? Are the nerve endings functional?)

  13. It’s really fun watching the Left cannibalize each other. Most people with IQs above 39 probably don’t watch these awards any way. This is the providence of the LGBQTR##[email protected]%^ and other malevolent entities including the Magic Blacks and Jews. I would guess their ratings will crash again as the History Channel will get more views by showing reruns of Groundhogs have sex.

If I were Hart I would sue everyone for discrimination against being a Black Midget….that will teach them!

    I can believe *that*.

I’m not even sure what she is saying here. But goodwhite ladies seem to be clapping (though one is rather stone-faced).

As a comedian, Gadsby was a regular on the local and international comedy festival circuit for over 10 years. In 2018, Netflix released Nanette, which brought her to the attention of international audiences. On Rotten Tomatoes, Nanette received an approval rating of 100% based on reviews from 42 critics.

It dents the humor aspect, but the opponent in that match, Iran, is notorious for having transgenders on its women’s sports teams. They get to hide under all the garb.

I think that Chinese legalists are onto something when they say that man is inherently sinful in nature and requires constant iron fisted rule to keep him straight.

  19. Was Kevin Hart really a good choice to host the Oscars in the first place? Mawtone?
    Short answer,”Duh.”
Why would a guy whose forte is crude, loud, obscene and dumb, and yes, black humor be the choice to follow in the footsteps of Bob Hope and Johnny Carson?
There must be some Academy dudes who remember that a witty, somewhat sophisticated, verbally agile white adult male could host with humor and panache.

  20. @Father O'Hara

Nah, Hart’s here and still has a career.

If it came out that, say, Rob Halford tweeted the n-word at someone in 2009, then regardless of apology he’d be fired from his band and dropped or banned by every record label, talent agent, concert promoter and TV channel for the rest of his life.

In 1988 (Rain Man) there was no host. The late Charlie O’Donnell was a disembodied voice introducing the presenters. This was the ceremony famous for having Rob Lowe dancing with Snow White. 31. @Anonymous

You’re asking for the cart to go before the horse.

One of the reasons that gays are disproportionately victims of street crime is that they are the “shock troops of gentrification”.

  32. @NJ Transit Commuter

Nope. Once something is PC and SJW (one probably follows the other), it’s there forever. Ignoring this would have provided the Oscars to possible make some weak inroads into regaining their lost audience, but nope. Billy Crystal is liberal as all get out, but he knew the value of not alienating half of his audience. In reality, more like two-thirds because even low information, independent, voters see through the preaching, leaving a performer with only potentially 1/3 or the population to buy tickets or watch their shows.

Also, this summer I was reading that the black chick on SNL (of all people) was hoping they would tone down the Dem cheerleading/Trump hating in the upcoming season. I partially watched a few episodes, and nope, same as it’s been for the past several years.

*Notable exceptions are the ‘liberal in the bubble’, and ‘Trump dog’ skits, but I think they were likely thrown in for a semblance of fake balance.

  33. @snorlax

If Rob Halford had tweeted the N-word, there would be a quickie, maybe even seemingly sincere apology, possibly referencing a stern father who talked that way, his alcohol relapse, etc., but no way he’d be fired from the band again. Classic rock acts generate way to much money in Trump America for either promoters, venue owners, or most importantly, concert goers to care about something everyone would know was an indiscreet moment in a performer’s life.

Now if Taylor Swift had done it, she would be Dixie Chicked into retirement, or at least a hiatus of several years so the heat could die down.

Maybe you libertarians should into the mirror? This is all a consequence of you people deciding to tolerate open homosexuality and disregarding common wisdom as an artifact of the past, and now you have the gall to complain why it seems all of a sudden teen males are having their penises chopped off? It’s because you libertarian numbskulls decided to normalize and celebrate degeneracy on instead of suppressing as is normal. And now you people whine after you got your just deserts and you see you 12 year old girl look at tranny or bestiality porn? Haven’t you forgotten Calvinistic teaching about humanity’s inherent fallen nature? And the only thing keeping me from having anal sex with horses on national TV to cheering crowds is the jackboot of tradition and conservatism.

  40. ‘…the eternal question of who is on top of the Progressive Stack … ‘

It’s obviously spectacularly subjective, but one way to decide this is to look at posting what forms of bigotry makes you most apprehensive of disapproval. Ranking it this way, I see the stack as follows:

    1. Jews
    2. Sexual deviants
    3. Blacks
    4. American Indians
    5. The various flavors of Asian, so long as they’re not Muslims.
    6. Muslims

I omit whites, not out of any delicacy, but simply because I am white, and one can always abuse one’s own group in relative comfort. It’d be (7.), but that ranking wouldn’t mean anything other than indicating I myself was white.

C’mon man, Kevin Hart is a very likeable guy. In fact, I didn’t know until now that it was possible not to like him. The secret to his success is that he is non-threatening, but not denying his masculinity or blackness either. Cf. Patrice O’Neal vs. Craig Robinson on The Office. Patrice O’Neal, although very funny, played the Angry Black Guy, and it didn’t mesh with the vibe of The Office. Craig Robinson knew how to play the black guy who didn’t offend white sensibilities, and has profited from it ever since.

If anything, even the people on here should want black people to have more non-threatening, non-racist, largely apolitical role models like Kevin Hart.

And it’s not remotely funny. She is also a lousy speaker. How do you sell this as comedy or sell it at all?

  54. songbird says:

So, is it universal truth in the US, or just in Hollywood?

Somewhat on a tangent, it’s been quite a few years now but people still ask the question, why were there nipples on the batsuit in Batman Forever? The obvious answer is that Shumacher (the director) was gay. You can really understand it if you watch the full sequence, where the character is wearing the suit and it shows his rear end in the suit.

The whole thing is so blatantly weird, it makes one wonder about the extent of gay influence in movies and TV. Many times it is obvious, but what about the more subtle aspects?

  55. Bugg says:
    @South Texas Guy

Will always be mad at Halford…for not playing enough of “Point of Entry” in concert. Certain entertainers and their audiences have come around to the point that sexuality is one fact of a person, not everything.

Which is supposed to be what Hollywood claims to want. Instead you have a zero talent screeching queen like Billy Eichner(he’s GAY? YOU KNOW?) managing to get box office gold mine Kevin Hart off the Oscars. The movie business is dying, but all Hollywood sells is PC crap with MAshaeychart Ali (is he supposed to be in every movie this year?) and super hero cartoon stuff.

Gays don’t ruin everything they touch but they eventually feminize whatever’s not inherently women’s turf, e.g. art, music, education, religion, ESPN, and so forth. The reason why people in flyover support crude oafs like Trump is a desperate reaction to the effete norms of D.C. (which ties in to policy interests, because both parties have gone gay– a chicken/egg question). The m2f transgender phenomenon is more directly a product of homosexual lib movement, horning in on that Jesus-like status of the sinned-against LGBTQ. If presenting as non-straight helped one get into Harvard there would already be Kaplan Drag Queen Camps for the Asians but short of that prize, if you want any media* or finance or tech or really any corporate job, is there any advantage to NOT being gay? Libertarian late capitalism valorizes confirmed bachelorhood, free of distractions like having to raise kids or preserve morality, etc.

The tranny insanity, and even more remarkable the sheer totalitarianism where people are simply not allowed to object to men playing women’s sports–which huge majorities of people find obviously ridiculous and unfair–serve to confirm the correctness of my “right wing” politics.

I have a fair amount of intellectual self-confidence, but I’ve made plenty of mistakes–e.g. voting for George W Bush–like everyone else.

But “the left”, “liberals”, Democrats continual demonstrate a bunch of characteristics
    – utopianism
    – anti-empiracism
    – illogic
    – innumeracy
    – denial of human nature
    – failure to understand “incentives
    – feelings over reason
    – totalitarianism
    and now
    – insanity
that signal their utter intellectual unworthiness.

This isn’t just “a disagreement”. My opponents are simply intellectually unworthy–actually nuts.

Which is actually comforting in a way–to know one’s in the right. But raises dramatically raises the stakes. One can not share a nation with people like them–the nation will not survive.

Two elements of the Roseanne thing: The first is that ABC’s pres. of entertainment, an SJW female person of color, was gambling with someone else’s money; the second, and more relevant I believe, is that Roseanne was a Trump supporter (Tim Allen made similar complaints when his highly rated show was axed by ABC, tho he’s backed off since then).

My point was that a midwest, or really most anywhere, concert promoter with access to a private 2-5k seat venue wouldn’t face too much hassle for booking Judas Priest. Granted, a facility with at least partial municipal or large corporate ownership would be a different deal because they could have pressure put on them not to rent the space.

If execs at ABC and its parent, Disney, had more skin in the game, they wouldn’t be making so many foolish PC business decisions that affect the outcome of their creative properties. As it is, the exec who fired Roseanne, the guy who thought it was a good idea for ESPN to give an award to Bruce Jenner, and the Mary Jane who SJWed the Star Wars universe will still be able to walk away rich without ever having risked anything, except for the possibility of even more easy millions in their pockets.

“ABC lost a billion dollars in projected revenue by firing Roseanne.”

We’re in a post profit industry now. It’s no longer about making as much money as possible, it’s about making money from people on the right side of history, even if you make a lot less overall. These SJWs are so fanatical some of them would rather go out of business altogether than actually make stuff for normies – besides superhero movies which suck anyway (God, I hate them).

Don’t get me wrong. People in LA definitely want to make cash, but they also want to be accepted by their peers, so there is a growing risk aversion developing where talented people 1) go into streaming or video games 2) decide to make unappealing political crap that doesn’t sell but does boost one’s liberal bona fides 3) make guaranteed money from low-effort but low-value superhero stuff.

I remember the old days when people in the industry would claim that Hollywood is all about money, so you didn’t really need to worry about bias and the like. “If it makes money, they’ll make it” was the saying. Well, it’s not true. Not anymore at least. Even in the film class I was in, probably 9 of 10 students wanted to make movies with political messages over actual movies like comedies. I only saw two half-completed comedy scripts from fellow students the whole time I was there – and this was many years ago. The rest was claptrap garbage from wine sippers desperate to “make a statement” by boring the hell out of me and others with their extremist politics; one girl I knew and met up with years later actually thought “passing the Bechtel Test” was a good selling point for a big-budget, non-animated movie with a young, heterosexual female audience…phuleaze…and that was the least of it. Her script never got optioned. That new generation is coming up now, and it’s showing up in these crap superhero and Star Wars movies.

A lot of the backlash – quite bizarre – on YouTube against Kathleen Kennedy comes from the generation that remembers good movies from directors like Stephen Spielberg and are now bewildered by the trash they seeing. I think they have concocted this conspiracy theory in response that feminist ideologues are infiltrating their manosphere in order to insert secret political propaganda…and Kathleen Kennedy is at the center of this conspiracy. That’s unfortunate. In reality, it’s just that Hollywood sucks and is devoid of talent and innovation these days. No conspiracy theory required.

I met Kennedy a couple of times years ago, and she struck me as a competent enough sort and not too extreme politically (liberal but that was “liberal” back when “liberal” was “liberal” and not out-of-your-mind “SJW”). This new generation of hacks (gen x/millennials like Rian Johnson) screwed over old guard gals like Kathleen Kennedy with movies like Star Wars: The Last Jedi and other properties like Solo. The Spielberg-era folks came from a generation where guys like Spielberg, Scorsese, and Lucas rose up and became famous because they were good – you could attach them to a project and it would at least do okay because they had talent. This new generation? Losers. All of them. Kennedy probably just assumed that because Miller and Johnson were successful once, that proved that they knew what they were doing in the same way that it once did for Cameron and Spielberg. Nope.

For this new generation, it’s all about “making statements” — statements that, not coincidentally, portray the originator as more virtuous or more intelligent that his/her contemporaries. LA is just one big circlejerk now. Pathetic. It’s even rubbed off on guys like Spielberg who is being pressured to ruin Indiana Jones and Cameron who made a fool out of himself by attacking Patty for not changing (ruining) Wonder Woman’s look by making her look/act like a man, basically – yeah, young girls’ll looovvve that, sure; and word has it that he may have done the same for this Terminator movie…here’s to hoping he had the good sense not to go that far down the PC rabbit hole. We’ll see. If even James Cameron can’t make a normie movie anymore, then LA needs to pack it up and move to Hong Kong.

P.S. Bob is in no position to dump on Kathleen Kennedy. It was his call to oust Rosanne when they should have just forced her to apologize and banned her from using Twitter + enact social media policies for employees to prevent that kind of thing from happening again. Then they wouldn’t have had to fire James from GOTG. He lost Disney more money than she has – and most of that was really just idiots like L&M and Johnson’s fault.

P.P.S. Anyone seen Lord and Miller? I saw a milk carton the other day with their faces on it. Ha ha ha.

  111. it was ozzy osbourne who was fired, not rob halford. tony iommi fired osbourne around 1978. rob halford left judas priest on his own accord in 1992. i think most people could tell by 1991 or so, rob clearly wished he was in pantera, metallica, or some other current thrash band, and that he was done with judas priest.

rob is one of the nicest people on earth, he would never do anything like call africans names. but it does raise the question, is the current restriction on africans calling homos names, by the commissioners of various sports leagues, a friendly fire exercise, and not a totem pole revealing action? the enforcers agree to curtail african entertainers from calling people fags, in return for continued elevation of africans to near the top of the totem pole.

other posters are probably correct that homos can’t just go around bashing africans, and that this would probably be career ending today, whereas the other way around is merely worth a penalty. european homos are europeans, after all, and openly complaining about being victims of targeted street crime is something they’re not allowed to do anymore when it’s the vibrants doing it.

a more pertinent question is, what CAN entertainers do in 2018, to get them totally bumped and deplatformed? what if pantera still existed, and dime still played the confederate flag guitar? it’s possible they couldn’t get booked in some venues. this wasn’t an issue back then, now it could be.

that would only cost promoters a half million per show, something some of them would be willing to forgo. the bigger question is stuff like deplatforming roseanne barr and deliberately giving up hundreds of millions per season, or worse, turning the star wars IP into social justice warrior land. that’s a billion dollars less profit per movie type of decision, deliberately cutting the fan base in half and dropping a lot of the nerd guy fans who decide to check out.

that was something movie studios and sports leagues could never have afforded to do in the past. taking a big loss and actually going out of business were real threats in the past. but by 2018, most sports leagues, and a lot of movie studios make, or have made, so much money at this point, that they can afford to leave some profit on the table now, for more political goals. they’ll stay in business, still making a lot of money, while pursuing ideological ends as well. probably not a good future for anybody. if they get too political, they eventually WILL go out of business, as ESPN has found out.

“This wasn’t the conclusion I think everyone would have liked,” Ellis told CNN’s Erica Hill.

“We were hoping this was going to turn into a teachable moment,” she said, “that Kevin Hart would still be hosting the Oscars and he would be using this moment to show, not only his evolution around the LGBTQ community, but also to then use the Oscar stage…to help build unity and awareness around the LGBTQ community and how we are marginalized in this country.”

Of course, the lavender lobby has deliberately continued to use the term “tolerance” when in fact it no longer accurate describes their more ambitious agenda.

    To elaborate:

I don’t think you or any other man, or men as a whole, have any business telling women what we can or cannot do, except insofar as it is necessary for the security and sustainability of the nation. I think you are quite right to condemn voluntary childlessness, because it is a type of free-riding, as I have argued elsewhere. On the other hand, you are out of line in attempting to narrow and constrain in other ways. Playing field hockey may be unladylike or “feminist” (whatever that means), but that is a very trivial grounds indeed for dictating someone else’s life choices.

The assumption in the manosphere is that women’s needs don’t exceed the “belongingness and love” stage, that we have no need for or legitimate interest in esteem, creativity, or self-actualization. This is, of course, an assertion that we are like higher social mammals, i.e. dogs or horses, in our psychological constitution. It’s really tiresome and offensive tbh fam.

And yet no liberal, gay or straight, Gentile or Jewish, sees any danger presented by immigration from Muslim countries. Instead they see a danger in Trump trying to prevent that immigration. Assuming you believe this immigration is bad for “liberal” values, as I do, all I see is a group of supposedly intelligent people demanding to import the cause of their own demise.

The destruction of women’s professional sports is a good thing because it’s further proof that feminism has failed.

Out of pure spite, you disregard women’s health and wellbeing.

It’s feminism that has disregarded women’s health and wellbeing. Feminism is misogyny.

There is no bad reason to secure the existence of our people and a future for White children. Tolerance for incurable sexual defectives, women’s rights, animal welfare, ecology, an enriching commons with public libraries, coffee houses, theater, etc.

Put ‘em back in the closet. When they were in the closet they did little harm to society and were left alone as long as they didn’t get predatory or start interfering with children.

The idea that homosexuals have been persecuted is largely a myth. Mostly they’ve been ignored.

When the got liberated they established lots of bath houses and spread AIDS and lots of them died as a result.

Having them in the closet is better for everyone.

Oh I don’t know about that. In the absence of free speech, it’s hard to say what people are really thinking.

Instead they see a danger in Trump trying to prevent that immigration

There are certainly plenty of people who see a danger in immigration restriction. I won’t argue with you about that.

Assuming you believe this immigration is bad for “liberal” values, as I do, all I see is a group of supposedly intelligent people demanding to import the cause of their own demise.

I think part of the problem is that you overestimate the number of sincere, committed, principled liberals (think Patrick Henry) in the world today. Now as ever, most people just signal conformity with the mainstream. Many others use liberal talking points to advance their own ethnic, cultural, or economic interests, without actually believing in them.

I would argue that the essence of liberalism is the belief in progress and reconciliation driven by reason and mutual understanding. Idealistically, I am definitely a liberal. Needless to say, the real world often disappoints. I remember when I first became red-pilled, I actually thought that opposition to White advocacy was driven by misunderstanding. That is to say, I figured even most non-Whites would see our point of view, fairly presented. I still think that’s true sometimes, but it’s obviously much rarer than I thought.

One of the sad things about Christmas in the early 21st Century is that it makes me think of the person I would have been in saner times, full of good will towards the whole world.

Now imagine we were taking Boer refugees by the hundreds of thousands and one went into a black nightclub and began shooting – not to mention other Boers preaching in the Dutch Reformed Church that blacks were the child of Ham and therefore cursed.

How long before African Americans would demand an end to that immigration? Seconds? Minutes?

Your counterfactual about Boer refugees would never happen, because TPTB are determined to replace White people, not strengthen us with demographic reinforcements. For precisely that reason, gays who are worried about Muslim immigration are not allowed to get their hands on the megaphone. That doesn’t mean they don’t exist. How many women did you see in media standing up for Kavanaugh? Virtually none I suspect, even though we know from polls that he had many women supporters. Talking heads on (((television))) are not a representative sample of the population at large.

Specifically, should women have a right to go out on a date with a man and have him take her home when he asks.

Men being forward, taking the initiative, women being coy and discriminating., but seeking it as well. I think I saw that somewhere in my evolutionary psychology course. But don’t you see? (how can you do this thing to me?)

There’s bound to be talk tomorrow (think of my lifelong sorrow)
At least there will be plenty implied (if you got pnuemonia and died)

I don’t know what White civilisation is. When you say white do you include Jews, Arabs, Persians?

Do you mean European civilisation? Which European civilisation? Do you include Russia? Do you include Albania? They’re white and they’re European and they’re mostly Muslim.

Do you mean Christian civilisation? Which Christian civilisation? Catholic civilisation is pretty different to Orthodox civilisation or Protestant civilisation.

Or do you mean liberal civilisation, which is the exact antithesis of Christian civilisation?

Esteem, creativity and self-actualization are feelgood concepts. They’re for people who have never actually achieved anything.

You can’t be reasoned with if you refuse to acknowledge the dictionary definition of words. It is incumbent upon you, at the very least, to find what sense you can in the stated position of your interlocutor. Without this charitable spirit, you’re not arguing in good faith.

The question is precisely whether women ought to have the opportunity to achieve anything or not, and if so, what?

My objection to your position on women’s sports is this: You claim that

    (1) Feminism is harmful.
    (2) Evrything women do that doesn’t involve having babies is “feminism.”
    (3) Therefore, women doing anything other than having babies is harmful.

Hence you absolve yourself of any burden of producing evidence that any particular thing is harmful when done by women. IOW, here is a picture of you arguing about women’s rights:

Are you suggesting that women who play field hockey are “trying to be men”? If so, you’re just begging the question, which is precisely whether sports are necessarily for men only.

If feminism is so great why aren’t women happy? They’ve had half a century of society caving in to every feminist demand.

You continue to insist that “feminism” be treated as a bundled package. The question is not whether “feminism” makes women happy, but whether sports (or corporate jobs, or casual sex, or whatever) make women happy. You take them one by one in the absence of any compelling reason to do otherwise.

Of course, a thing making women happy doesn’t mean it is right, only that it is presumptively right.

Be forewarned there’s no gossip or good story.

Au contraire. The entire interview is fantastic. Chris Rock told Patrice point blank that he was ruining his career by being such an asshole. This was on the Opie & Anthony show, back when they were together and on top of their game.
