From ABC News:

Puzzling number of men tied to Ferguson protests have died

Six young men with connections to Ferguson protests have died, drawing attention on social media and speculation in the activist community that something sinister is at play

By JIM SALTER Associated PressFERGUSON, Mo. — Mar 17, 2019 7:28 AM ET
Two young men were found dead inside torched cars. Three others died of apparent suicides. Another collapsed on a bus, his death ruled an overdose.

Six deaths, all involving men with connections to protests in Ferguson, Missouri, drew attention on social media and speculation in the activist community that something sinister was at play.

Police say there is no evidence the deaths have anything to do with the protests stemming from a white police officer’s fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown and that only two were homicides. …

If there is one thing we learned from Ferguson, it’s that Black Twitter is never wrong about everything.

Yeah, "Furgeson" was Aug 2014, so coming up on five years, how many hundreds or thousands of people had "connections to Ferguson protests" so is it actually strange that only six died since then?

Charles, Margaret Sullivan, former editor of the Buffalo News, was slammed by Buffalo's black community for pointing out that 7 of the 8 shooting victims at the downtown Buffalo City Grill masacre, had criminal records. The shooter, Ricardo MacCray, was a recently released gang member who was tossed from an anniversary party at the Grill. Five of the eight victims died and McCray hid out in the community for a couple of weeks. Play with fire and you get burned.

  5. Two “young men” were found dead insider torched cars? There were two separate cars? Well that is a bit disconcerting.

  6. Being found shot to death in a burning car is not uncommon in the ghetto – so I have heard. The drug overdose kind of fits too. But, suicide? The overall suicide rate for blacks is about a third of that for whites.

That's called "clickbait." It's a device to get people to "click" on the article. They will soon find out the article isn't about what they thought it was about, and will not read it, but that's okay. The statistics the site is generating only could how many hits arrive, not how long they stay or how much reading they do. The high number of "hits" allows the website to charge higher advertising rates.

How come we didn’t hear about this modern-day lynching at the time?:

In October, 24-year-old Danye Jones was found hanging from a tree in the yard of his north St. Louis County home. His mother, Melissa McKinnies, was active in Ferguson and posted on Facebook after her son’s death, “They lynched my baby.” But the death was ruled a suicide.

People appear to feed off of his energy. Masri told an officer, ‘What happens when we take your gun?’ That officer then protects his gun. Another officer protecting his gun was answered with screams, ‘He has his hand on his gun!’

Then citizens surrounded him and chanted, ‘Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot.’

At one point you can hear Masri tell officers, while pointing at each one, ‘I`m praying for your death and you death and your death and your death.’

(Masri appeared extraordinarily bitter that the police had previously insisted that he not drive a car whilst banned, out of his mind or uninsured.)

    Separate nations.

You can manage some (limited) amount of diversity if everyone understands that the majority culture is dominant and is essentially the program that society is going to operate under.

But since the rise of Jewish minoritarianism that assumption--which existed when i was a kid--has been destroyed. That means endless strife. Some of the more "vibrant" members of society think their minority cred means no white--or any other outside--authority should dare show its face around them. Given the reigning minoritarian ideology, hard to say they are wrong.

    A very old sentiment.

You can't succeed if you attack the problem that way.

The problem is that the political establishment has, since FDR, relied upon urban populations (city people). Both Democrats and Republicans wrote off the non-city population during the AD 1950s, and the Democrats claimed to [1] write off the non-city population about 20 years earlier, c.a. AD 1932. The New Deal effectively destroyed the Republican Party as more than a niche party of small business owners, and if it weren't for the large corporations (Corporate Republicans) [2], the Republican Party would have gone the way of the Whigs, Eisenhower or not. As it was, the Corporate Republicans established themselves as what amounted to an unusually effective lobbying group within the Democratic Party. The general view during c.a. 1950-1960 was that the US had a mixed (fascist, strictly speaking) economy [3], within which the Republicans managed capital allocation and the Democrats were effectively the personnel department. This view changed during the AD 1960s, as corporations aged and productivity dropped, and changed yet more after c.a AD AD 2008.

The point of the above is that the entire political establishment (Democrat, Republican, fringe parties, lone nuts) is elected and kept in power only by the urban vote.[4]

    Trump's constituency is non-urban [5].

Therefore, the US political establishment reacts Trump about as you would react to somebody trying to smother you with a pillow: immediate life or death attack.

The problem is that, worldwide, cities became unproductive after WW II (c.a. 1950s for initial wave, and there were subsequent waves). Cities were economically productive in that they were centers for light manufacturing. This became uneconomic when (a) city populations began to legislate their own wages, and (b) improvements in transportation (human and cargo) and communications made it physically possible and economically possible to move light manufacturing to the countryside, and, later, to East Asia. This change rendered the AD 1930s US political dependence on the cities obsolete.

Think about it: the entire political establishment of the US, at the hour of their triumph, when they have a real war to lead (the Cold War) found that their power base (the cities) didn't have jobs for their constituents. No jobs -> depopulation -> no votes -> no power base -> NO POWER !!! Panic. I actually saw some of that panic [6,7], albeit at a remove since I was working in NYC at the time.

Ever since that time, the US political establishment has been loading their cities up with foreigners who, since most of them cannot hold down a job, are unaffected by the inability of jobs and thus will remain in cities. The US capital budget (seized by the Federal Government during WW II and kept during the Cold War) has been diverted to supporting this new city population. The US stock of capital knowledge was sold to China in exchange for goods that were, ultimately, used to support this new city population. Laws were changed to win the urban vote, and institutions (the universities and the national / corporate labs, and of course NASA) were severely underfunded so that these funds could be used to fund city populations.

This, my friend, is what you're up against. Saying that this is economically dysfunctional is saying the obvious -- it has been said since the AD 1930s [8].

To win you will have to replace an entire governing elite, and do so in competition with many other groups that want to do exactly the same thing.

    To quote Musashi:

I cannot describe in detail how to use these five approaches. You must become well acquainted with my "in harmony with the long sword" Way, learn large-scale timing, understand the enemy's long sword, and become used to the five approaches from the outset. You will always win by using these five methods, with various timing considerations discerning the enemy's spirit. You must consider all this carefully.

    Counterinsurgency

1] but didn't really depend solely on city voters, as Democrats still relied upon the Solid South
2] A contemporary source, Whyte, discusses Corporate Republicans at length in _The organization Man_, AD 1956.
3] A little noticed outcome of WW II is that the fascist form of government won over the parliamentary form of government (called "democracy" in the US) and the socialist form of government. All the Western victors went essentially fascist during the war, and are just now reverting command economy socialism. The Eastern victor (USSR) tried to go fascist and failed, going fascist under Putin. The PRC started off socialist command economy under Mao, and reverted to fascism (its present form) after Mao died. As I said, little noticed.
4] This political dominance of urban populations is true worldwide, even in non-democracies. Most of the population increase has gone to form economically unproductive megacities. Even in the PRC much government effort goes into ensuring the economic welfare of cities.

Stuff black people never do: Shooting into houses, vandalizing homes, running cars off the road. It must be YT and cops:

“Something is happening,” said Cori Bush, a frequent leader of the Ferguson protests. “I’ve been vocal about the things that I’ve experienced and still experience — the harassment, the intimidation, the death threats, the death attempts.”

Bush said her car has been run off the road, her home has been vandalized, and in 2014 someone shot a bullet into her car, narrowly missing her daughter, who was 13 at the time.

She suspects white supremacists or police sympathizers. Living under constant threat is exhausting, she said, but she won’t give in.

From “VOODOO” Death: Walter Bradford Cannon, MA, MD (American journal of public health vol. 92,10 (2002))

In records of anthropologists and others who have lived with primitive people in widely scattered parts of the world is the testimony that when subjected to spells or sorcery or the use of “black magic” men may be brought to death. Among the natives of South America and Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the islands of the Pacific, as well as among the negroes of nearby Haiti, “voodoo” death has been reported by apparently competent observers. The phenomenon is so extraordinary and so foreign to the experience of civilized people that it seems incredible; certainly if it is authentic it deserves careful consideration...

First . . . is the fixed assurance that because of certain conditions, such as being subject to bone pointing or other magic, or failing to observe sacred tribal regulations, death is sure to supervene. This is a belief so firmly held by all members of the tribe that the individual not only has that conviction himself but is obsessed by the knowledge that all his fellows likewise hold it. Thereby he becomes a pariah, wholly deprived of the confidence and social support of the tribe. In his isolation the malicious spirits which he believes are all about him and capable of irresistibly and calamitously maltreating him, exert supremely their evil power. . . .

“St. Louis police investigating link between Ferguson activist’s murder (2016) and 2014 killing — after both victims were found fatally shot inside torched cars.”

“DeAndre Joshua, was killed in 2014 the night a St. Louis grand jury decided not to indict the Ferguson police officer who killed Michael Brown, when otherwise peaceful protests turned into chaotic riots, arson and looting. Cops didn’t find his body until the following day.”

“Joshua’s partially burned body was found inside his charred white Pontiac Grand Prix near the Canfield Green Apartments, the complex where Michael Brown was fatally shot by Ferguson police. The St. Louis native had a single gunshot wound to his head.”

(On September 6, 2016) “Darren Seals, 29, a prominent Ferguson activist, was found shot to death inside a torched car … the exact same way. Seals, a Ferguson resident identified as a factory line worker and hip hop musician by the St. Louis American, was a leader in the Ferguson protests and continued his anti-police brutality activism up until this death this week. Being found shot to death in a burning car is not uncommon in the ghetto - so I have heard. The drug overdose kind of fits too. But, suicide? The overall suicide rate for blacks is about a third of that for whites.

Those protests did lead to a rash of murders of police officers. Still, I find it hard to believe that there might be some kind of police vigilante gang carrying out a campaign of retribution

It was Bassem Masri who said this as he streamed video that was live at the time. Masri yelled at an officer, 'Coward straight pig out here bitch! You gotta go. Your life is in danger homie.'

People appear to feed off of his energy. Masri told an officer, 'What happens when we take your gun?' That officer then protects his gun. Another officer protecting his gun was answered with screams, 'He has his hand on his gun!'

Then citizens surrounded him and chanted, 'Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot.'

At one point you can hear Masri tell officers, while pointing at each one, 'I`m praying for your death and you death and your death and your death.'

Stuff black people never do: Shooting into houses, vandalizing homes, running cars off the road. It must be YT and cops:

"Something is happening," said Cori Bush, a frequent leader of the Ferguson protests. "I've been vocal about the things that I've experienced and still experience — the harassment, the intimidation, the death threats, the death attempts."

Bush said her car has been run off the road, her home has been vandalized, and in 2014 someone shot a bullet into her car, narrowly missing her daughter, who was 13 at the time.

She suspects white supremacists or police sympathizers. Living under constant threat is exhausting, she said, but she won't give in.

"They shut us up and they win," Bush said.

Constant threat just amplifies the epigenetics, condemning the next generation to low SAT scores.

The phenomenon is so extraordinary and so foreign to the experience of civilized people that it seems incredible; certainly if it is authentic it deserves careful consideration…

First . . . is the fixed assurance that because of certain conditions, such as being subject to bone pointing or other magic, or failing to observe sacred tribal regulations, death is sure to supervene. This is a belief so firmly held by all members of the tribe that the individual not only has that conviction himself but is obsessed by the knowledge that all his fellows likewise hold it. Thereby he becomes a pariah, wholly deprived of the confidence and social support of the tribe. In his isolation the malicious spirits which he believes are all about him and capable of irresistibly and calamitously maltreating him, exert supremely their evil power. . . .

    Separate nations.

You can manage some (limited) amount of diversity if everyone understands that the majority culture is dominant and is essentially the program that society is going to operate under.

But since the rise of Jewish minoritarianism that assumption–which existed when i was a kid–has been destroyed. That means endless strife. Some of the more “vibrant” members of society think their minority cred means no white–or any other outside–authority should dare show its face around them. Given the reigning minoritarian ideology, hard to say they are wrong.

True - there has to be a dominant culture, and it doesn't mean that members of racial or ethnic minorities cannot be part of it, either. It just has to mean there is a general consensus on how things ought to be done and what sort of behavior is permissible and what is not.

The elites have hammered into society the idea that the majority may not judge any minority racial or ethnic group, thus we have tolerance on array of behavior that the elites themselves would not permit or practice in their own lives but which has done major damage to the ability of designated victim groups to form stable households or climb any further than the bottom rungs of the economic ladder. It also puts the beliefs of groups like Muslims off the table when their views on women, gays, and so on practiced by white Christians would be subject to unrelenting hostility and mockery in the media and court system.

The sooner public policy reflects this, the sooner the society at large can help those who fail that test.

The sooner public policy reflects this, the sooner the society at large can help those who fail that test.

    A very old sentiment.

You can’t succeed if you attack the problem that way.

The problem is that the political establishment has, since FDR, relied upon urban populations (city people). Both Democrats and Republicans wrote off the non-city population during the AD 1950s, and the Democrats claimed to [1] write off the non-city population about 20 years earlier, c.a. AD 1932. The New Deal effectively destroyed the Republican Party as more than a niche party of small business owners, and if it weren’t for the large corporations (Corporate Republicans) [2], the Republican Party would have gone the way of the Whigs, Eisenhower or not.

    Trump’s constituency is non-urban [5].

Think about it: the entire political establishment of the US, at the hour of their triumph, when they have a real war to lead (the Cold War) found that their power base (the cities) didn’t have jobs for their constituents.

This, my friend, is what you’re up against. Saying that this is economically dysfunctional is saying the obvious — it has been said since the AD 1930s [8].

To win you will have to replace an entire governing elite, and do so in competition with many other groups that want to do exactly the same thing.

    To quote Musashi:

I cannot describe in detail how to use these five approaches. You must become well acquainted with my “in harmony with the long sword” Way, learn large-scale timing, understand the enemy’s long sword, and become used to the five approaches from the outset. You will always win by using these five methods, with various timing considerations discerning the enemy’s spirit. You must consider all this carefully.

    Counterinsurgency

1] but didn’t really depend solely on city voters, as Democrats still relied upon the Solid South
2] A contemporary source, Whyte, discusses Corporate Republicans at length in _The organization Man_, AD 1956.
3] A little noticed outcome of WW II is that the fascist form of government won over the parliamentary form of government (called “democracy” in the US) and the socialist form of government.

What a mystery - it's not like the type of person who enthusiastically participates in rioting and civil unrest might regularly find themselves in high-risk situations.

I've been assured that these leaders are America's moral lodestars, so something sinister is definitely afoot.

Those protests did lead to a rash of murders of police officers.

    What rash of police murders?

According to Officer Down Memorial page:
    In 2010 180 deaths
    2011 187
    2012 141
    2013 128
    2014 158
    2015 164
    2016 171
    2017 152
    2018 150

Being a cop is much safer than many actual productive jobs.

    • Replies: @Federalist
Are these police officer deaths only homicides?

When I looked at the Officer Down Memorial page, it wanted me to log in to look at statistics. I could click on photos of fallen officers. One died of a heart attack during some kind of training exercise and another was hit by a car. So, it looks like they are including officers killed in accidents or by natural causes while on duty.

It looks like the officer deaths increased for a few years beginning around the time of Ferguson and then decreased for the last two years. 2010 and 2011 were very high for whatever reason. Of course, if these numbers are for officer deaths of all causes, then the Ferguson Effect (if any) would not be clear.
    , @Mr. Anon

    What rash of police murders?

There were a number of notable ambush murders for about two years after Ferguson, including the Dallas police massacre:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_shooting_of_Dallas_police_officers

All-in-all though, you are correct. Police Officer is not the most dangerous job - not nearly. And a lot of cops who are killed on duty die in traffic accidents, many of them due to stupidity and recklessness.

The JEW/WASP ruling class is using mass legal immigration and illegal immigration as a demographic weapon to attack Whites Without College Degrees and the White lower middle class and the White working class and regular Whites.

What is now coming to a boil is the obvious and unsustainable fact that the JEW portion of the JEW/WASP ruling class is intent on attacking and destroying the United States as a European Christian nation.

This is why Israel must be preserved as a repository for JEWS when the inevitable expulsions occur in most European Christian nations and the JEWS are quarantined permanently in Israel.

True – there has to be a dominant culture, and it doesn’t mean that members of racial or ethnic minorities cannot be part of it, either.

"St. Louis police investigating link between Ferguson activist's murder (2016) and 2014 killing — after both victims were found fatally shot inside torched cars."

"DeAndre Joshua, was killed in 2014 the night a St. Louis grand jury decided not to indict the Ferguson police officer who killed Michael Brown, when otherwise peaceful protests turned into chaotic riots, arson and looting. Cops didn't find his body until the following day."

"Joshua's partially burned body was found inside his charred white Pontiac Grand Prix near the Canfield Green Apartments, the complex where Michael Brown was fatally shot by Ferguson police. The St. Louis native had a single gunshot wound to his head."

(On September 6, 2016) "Darren Seals, 29, a prominent Ferguson activist, was found shot to death inside a torched car … the exact same way. Seals, a Ferguson resident identified as a factory line worker and hip hop musician by the St. Louis American, was a leader in the Ferguson protests and continued his anti-police brutality activism up until this death this week. He was an outspoken critic of the Black Lives Matter movement, and frequently accused the group's leaders of hijacking Ferguson activism."

When the current owners age out of their homes, there are just not enough white people who are interested in buying them. If the white population of a country declines and the black and brown population goes up, those people have to live somewhere and that somewhere is places like Ferguson. White plutocrats and the White upper middle class are using the non-White and non-Christian underclass as a demographic weapon to attack the White lower middle class and the White working class.

Shelly Adelson and the JEW-controlled ISRAEL FIRST FACTION in the GOP is Trump’s biggest vulnerability.

Why does the JEW-controlled corporate propaganda apparatus focus so much on the Koch Boys and disregard Shelly Adelson and his control of the GOP?

Those protests did lead to a rash of murders of police officers.

    What rash of police murders?

According to Officer Down Memorial page:
    In 2010 180 deaths
    2011 187
    2012 141
    2013 128
    2014 158
    2015 164
    2016 171
    2017 152
    2018 150

Being a cop is much safer than many actual productive jobs.

    RIP Dick Dale

    • Replies: @Anonymous
Dick Dale died Saturday. He was a surfer, a pilot, and a revolutionary popular musician who never quite became mainstream but his influence was outsized. A very decent guy, I hung out with him on a couple of occasions.

Without Dick Dale the electric guitar would have evolved in a very different, and probably less fun way:

    1960s

Dale began playing in local country bars where he met Texas Tiny,[16] who gave him the name "Dick Dale" because he thought it was a good name for a country singer.

Dale employed non-Western scales in his playing. He regularly used reverb, which became a trademark of surf guitar. Being left-handed, Dale tried to play a right-handed guitar, but then changed to a left handed model. However, he did so without restringing the guitar, leading him to effectively play the guitar upside-down, often playing by reaching over the fretboard, rather than wrapping his fingers up from underneath. He partnered with Leo Fender to test new equipment, later saying "When it can withstand the barrage of punishment from Dick Dale, then it is fit for the human consumption." His combination of loud amplifiers and heavy gauge strings led him to be called the "Father of Heavy Metal". After blowing up several Fender amplifiers, Leo Fender and Freddie Tavares saw Dale play at the Rendezvous Ballroom, Balboa, California and identified the problem arose from him creating a sound louder than the audience screaming. The pair visited the James B. Lansing loudspeaker company and ask for a custom 15-inch loudspeaker, which became the JBL D130F model, and was known as the Single Showman Amp. Dale's combination of a Fender Stratocaster and Fender Showman Amp allowed him to attain significantly louder volume levels unobtainable by then-conventional equipment.

Dale's performances at the Rendezvous Ballroom in Balboa in mid to late 1961 are credited with the creation of the surf music phenomenon. Dale successfully asked for permission to use the 3,000 person capacity ballroom for surfer dances after overcrowding at a local ice cream parlor where he performed made him seek other venues. The Rendezvous ownership and the city of Newport Beach agreed to Dale's request on the condition that he prohibit alcohol sales and implement a dress code. Dale's events at the ballrooms, called "stomps," quickly became legendary, and the events routinely sold out.

This was no joke: Dale blew the cones clean out of speakers, melted picks and caused tweed era amplifiers to fail. (The only other instance of this was when David Gilmour had Alembic preamps put in his Strats and the Hiwatts started eating power transformers. )

He was also and incidentally the only rock and roll musician who ever made an appearance in a Marilyn Monroe film, Let's Make Love.

He must have had the constitution of a Cape buffalo to have withstood the medical issues he had and continually tour, especially in the last few years. He was a long term cancer survivor who had a relapse and subsequent colostomy in the early 2010s and said that "he had to tour to stay alive" since, insurance didn't cover all the expenses he had. He was booked up for several months when he died.

    He will not be forgotten.

Dublin has changed a lot in the last 30 years. You'll see Asians (dot Indian) and Africans (as noted above you don't want to run into a gang of 'youths'), and the "Polski Sklep" (Polish shop) can be found in the centre and in the suburbs - lots of Eastern Europeans. But the centre's still a pretty nice place to wander round as a tourist. The vanished old warehouses on either side of the Liffey are now glass and steel blocks as global capital fastens onto Ireland's 12% corporation tax rate - Citi, BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, Google etc. Just behind them you'll still see single-storey cottages - probably worth a fortune now.

"as the grey unyielding concrete makes a city of my town"

While the south side, where the embassies and hotels are and onwards south along the DART seafront railway towards Bray and the Wicklow Mountains, is very pleasant (Bono and quite a few others have houses there), I gather the north side is a whole lot rougher. The Dublin authorities have cunningly hidden it away from most visitors - the bus from the airport (on the north side of town) dives into a tunnel, and when you come out you're approaching the concrete and glass zone.

The shooter, Ricardo MacCray, was a recently released gang member who was tossed from an anniversary party at the Grill. Five of the eight victims died and McCray hid out in the community for a couple of weeks. Play with fire and you get burned.

Amendment: Your genes or those of your extended family i.e. your race. The prevelance of the altruism gene in whites who evolved to live at harsh northern latitudes explains why the Scandinavians implemented social welfare democracies. The banks and other value transferers make as much money as possible, screwing over working people; the phaggots and slatterns run amok, drunkenness and blasphemy triumph.

Something sinister has affected the Irish people. It is a bad country to raise a family. I have heard that a lot of Poles have moved the Ireland to find work. While the south side, where the embassies and hotels are and onwards south along the DART seafront railway towards Bray and the Wicklow Mountains, is very pleasant (Bono and quite a few others have houses there), I gather the north side is a whole lot rougher. The Dublin authorities have cunningly hidden it away from most visitors – the bus from the airport (on the north side of town) dives into a tunnel, and when you come out you’re approaching the concrete and glass zone.

He was shot shortly before 1:30 AM on the 1900 block of Bienville Street while riding a bike. I don't know if there are places where one would normally ride a bike at 1:30 in the morning, but that sure ain't one of them. I don't know if he was buying drugs or selling but he was definitely up to no good.

His home city was Charleston. He was reportedly in New Orleans to ‘to connect with other musicians in the area and enjoy Mardi Gras.’ Being charitable, that could explain why he was out late at night in an unfamiliar neighbourhood.

A low IQ dude who impregnates a bunch of women depends on having high IQ people around who have both the ability and willingness to pay taxes to support the children. If you set up such a income transfer system, the results will be dysgenic and eventually it will collapse and then all the descendants of the low IQ dude will starve to death simultaneously. Unfortunately, I think we might be headed in that direction.

This is why one, with an 85 IQ can be a good man, and one, with a 185 IQ can be a bad man.

I'm not a Dublin hand, just a few days there recently after a long interval, so others are probably better placed to tell you. Depends on your budget I guess (mine was limited!). The "hotel zone" is around Ballsbridge and also in the centre - but we stayed in a relatively cheap but nice 'Bed and Breakfast' a couple of stops south of Dublin on the DART railway, went in and out on the trains which are frequent and inexpensive.

Trip Advisor is probably your best bet for reviews and prices, as well as general Dublin info for tourists. Lots of Q&As.

Giant's Causeway is right up at the top of Northern Ireland so you'll probably need a car and to rise early if you're going on a day-trip. There's the Bushmills Distillery close nearby if you want to see Irish whiskey being made. The coast up there's meant to be lovely, I've never been. I'd do as much reading up online as possible, so you can make the best use of your time. Might be worth staying in more than one place - a few days here, a few there - but read up on places first.

So here we are in the 1930s. This is when we start seeing a strengthening of labor unions, a federal minimum wage, the establishment of Social Security and unemployment insurance, and increased taxes on the wealthy and corporations. Economist Paul Krugman calls this phenomenon “The Great Compression” because these policies created a lot more parity — and held inequality at bay for about 40 years.

You can see that in this graph. It shows that, from the 1940s through the mid-1980s, the richest one person got a much smaller portion of the whole:

That lasted until the late-1970s — and you saw what happened from then on. It’s what economists call “The Great Divergence,” or a great increase in wealth inequality.

    So, what caused this?
Wealthy people began making more of their money from investments and business income

Everyone else continued to make money on salaries and wages. Even from 1996 to 2006, things changed drastically:

Can anyone say this is an improvement over being a colony of a pre-replacement England (barring the Gorta Mór, which was largely exacerbated by English policies)? RIP Dick Dale

    1960s

Dale began playing in local country bars where he met Texas Tiny,[16] who gave him the name “Dick Dale” because he thought it was a good name for a country singer.

He partnered with Leo Fender to test new equipment, later saying “When it can withstand the barrage of punishment from Dick Dale, then it is fit for the human consumption.” His combination of loud amplifiers and heavy gauge strings led him to be called the “Father of Heavy Metal”. Dale’s combination of a Fender Stratocaster and Fender Showman Amp allowed him to attain significantly louder volume levels unobtainable by then-conventional equipment.

Dale’s performances at the Rendezvous Ballroom in Balboa in mid to late 1961 are credited with the creation of the surf music phenomenon. Dale successfully asked for permission to use the 3,000 person capacity ballroom for surfer dances after overcrowding at a local ice cream parlor where he performed made him seek other venues. The Rendezvous ownership and the city of Newport Beach agreed to Dale’s request on the condition that he prohibit alcohol sales and implement a dress code. Dale’s events at the ballrooms, called “stomps,” quickly became legendary, and the events routinely sold out.

This was no joke: Dale blew the cones clean out of speakers, melted picks and caused tweed era amplifiers to fail. (The only other instance of this was when David Gilmour had Alembic preamps put in his Strats and the Hiwatts started eating power transformers. )

He was also and incidentally the only rock and roll musician who ever made an appearance in a Marilyn Monroe film, Let’s Make Love.

He must have had the constitution of a Cape buffalo to have withstood the medical issues he had and continually tour, especially in the last few years. He was a long term cancer survivor who had a relapse and subsequent colostomy in the early 2010s and said that “he had to tour to stay alive” since, insurance didn’t cover all the expenses he had. He was booked up for several months when he died.

    He will not be forgotten.

    2017 152
    2018 150

Being a cop is much safer than many actual productive jobs.

    What rash of police murders?

There were a number of notable ambush murders for about two years after Ferguson, including the Dallas police massacre:

No argument there, but what about agency? Conspiracy theories aside, the Jews have played an outsized role in the demise of the West, but assigning blame is more difficult.

For example, whom do we blame for Black violence? The entire Black race, only the violent Blacks, the Good Whites that tolerate it, the long-dead Whites that brought the slaves over? I blame violence primarily on violent people, but note that some races are more prone to certain types of violence (intra vs inter-group violence, random violence, etc).

In the West, certain sick ideas have taken hold. The Jews, as a group, have an outsize role in this, but anyone that advances these ideas also shares the blame. I don't follow Irish politics, but I'm guessing that if you removed all the Jews from the equation not much would change in Ireland.

The Bantu? The Watusi? Surely you don't mean the Joos - there are 2,500 Jews in all of Ireland. How few Joos can a nation have before they lose the ability to manipulate the entire goyish population like puppets on a string? 1? 0?
  170. @International Jew
But you proposed a theory (linking Jews to lax immigration policies). JackD then proceeded to test your theory against the evidence.

    Not really.

If you find yourself saying something over and over, you should quit saying it. Repetition isn't an improvement. You can torture your spouse or children that way if you so choose (I wouldn't recommend it)--but your relations have to put up you with your antics.

    We don't.

Lmao, I mean, you do unless Steve censors me. Fortunately he doesn’t usually do so. Your comment is ridiculous.

Using "LOL" and "LMAO" a lot, or even a little, sounds pretty low-brow to my ears.

Maybe you aren't the guy to give style pointers.

    How may I help you?

The next story is interesting for the lack of details:

Charge upgraded to murder for Memphis boy, 11, in shooting
Police in Tennessee say an 11-year-old boy now faces a murder charge after a teenager he is accused of shooting died of his injuries

A story about an 11-year old killer that, when or if the facts ever come to light, may be one of the iSteviest ever.

    https://www.necn.com/news/new-england/Autopsy-Planned-On-Man-Who-Died-in-New-Hampshire-Shootings-507297531.html

The authorities won’t even release any information about whether or not one of the dead couple’s little adoptees did the deed.

  174. @Hippopotamusdrome
Hey Steve, are you ever going to have a post about those 76 brown-skinned people that were shot this month in Chicago?

Actually, St. Louis has a higher violent crime rate than Chicago. So do many cities.

To a large extent, life is a test to see if your genes can survive to future generations.

Amendment: Your genes or those of your extended family i.e. your race. The prevelance of the altruism gene in whites who evolved to live at harsh northern latitudes explains why the Scandinavians implemented social welfare democracies. But when whites set up altruistic societies and non-whites and MENAs, who lack altruism, move in, the system makes the founders less, not more viable.

Don’t forget that, even with Whites, we still have dysgenic demographic trends. Obviously, we need to stop the 3rd-world invasion/migrant crisis first. But the next step in civilization is to manage our gene pool (via CRISPR or whatever).

  177. @anon1
You are conveniently ignoring international Jewry and the key role it played in creating cultural Marxism .a.k.a. political correctness.

I don’t follow Irish politics, but I’m guessing that if you removed all the Jews from the equation not much would change in Ireland.

That's a reasonable point of view. I think the first thing that is required is that we be able to speak honestly about different groups, about their weaknesses and proclivities. And that goes for all groups - yours, mine, and others.

Respectfully disagree. My opinion is this is neither stupid nor naive, it is the first step in a deliberate and cynical attempt at another "burning black churches" narrative. The Times is attempting to get black voters revved up, as they did for the Clintons. The NYT is working, again, for the Democratic Party. The Times' loyalty is kind of touching.

Its not about black voters, rather liberal whites. Look at 2018, it’s all those closet liberal white republican Romney voters that finally came out as #BLM loving sucks.

A new horror-thriller, "The Ferguson Effect," coming out this fall, directed by Jordan Peele.

Apparently he’s going to be the narrator for the new Twilight Zone reboot. No thanks.

Did I miss it or has iSteve not commented upon the passing of two SoCal greats: Dick Dale and Hal Blaine? Blaine is all over the Beach Boys recordings, really got a great sound. Dick Dale invented a sub-genre.

Dick Dale, born Richard Anthony Monsour, was a Lebanese-American boy from Boston.
