I read this and thought “what’s an incel?”.

I looked that up–”involuntarily celebate”. And thought: Ok, there are no doubt a good number of nerdy guys who don’t have real girlfriends or wives. This isn’t what i ordinarily think of as a company’s business, but i could see doing some company “mixers” and on-line introduction/dating stuff to try and help these guys under the umbrella of “healthy lifestyle” and “better worklife balance”

Incels are involuntarily celibate. Majority rank at the bottom of the barrel. On attractiveness scales, think 2/10, or below. They don’t have status, charisma, or anything else to make them desirable. To make matters worse, they are mentally damaged from years of bullying in public schools, where their peers looked at them with contempt.

Your advice is sound for a small subset of these ‘incel’ men, specifically those with avoidant personalities who get anxious / shy around women, but it is old-fashioned I’m afraid. It would hardly work in today’s fast-paced sexual marketplace.

One thing I’d recommend to STEM type geeks is to check out the more female heavy doctoral departments-especially things like biology or chemical engineering, but also linguistics, history, anything that takes serious intellectual effort-where they can find more women who share, among other things, their scientific curiosity. If they are fellow introverts, they share romantic tastes, if they are an extrovert, they might end up creating a weird “let’s improve each other” exotic symmetry.

I think you are somehow confused about some differences between the sexes.

Men want sex more than women so women can dictate(ration) terms for sex.

In order to technically qualify as an incel, you would have to be fully committed to having sex, making every reasonable attempt to do so, and yet striking out time after time, every time. This would be an exceedingly rare creature indeed. In a society this large, with so many women about, virtually any man can find some woman to have sex with if he keeps applying himself.

I think the real issue here is men who are conditionally celibate. Their thought process runs something like….

“Sure, I would like to be having more sex, but I would also like to end up with a solid relationship, a good companion, and a family out of the deal. But most women today come with way too much baggage, and I just don’t want that kind of drama in my life. The hot girls attract too much attention from the wrong kind of guys; I could never be confident of their loyalty, and they would probably be lazy and high-maintenance anyway.
