Does Sweden Have a Problem with Immigration-Related Crime?
Search Text Case Sensitive  Exact Words  Include Comments

Of course not!

We all know, from first principles, that immigrants are Good.

We also know that Sweden’s natives are very, very white, and thus are Bad.

Therefore, we know, both from abstract reason and from documentaries like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which people are the real problem in Sweden: the white nativist native whites.

And also the Russians. (If any.)

From my review in Taki’s Magazine:

Fight the (Imaginary) Power
by Steve Sailer
December 28, 2011

The more popular it is to worry over some organized threat, the less of a danger it likely is in reality. After all, if some group or institution was truly fearsome, most people would either be terrified into silence or admiration.

For example, Dan Brown made a fortune off his The Da Vinci Code pulp novel during this low ebb of the Catholic Church’s powers with a tale of how a nearly omnipotent Church conspires to cover up pagan feminism’s golden age. … But Brown is practically Edward Gibbon compared to his successor as a global publishing sensation, the late Stieg Larsson, author of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (or as it was originally titled in Sweden, Men Who Hate Women). Himself a hate-filled lefty nerd, Larsson concocted an elaborate fantasy world for true believers in the conventional wisdom. …

You may have somehow garnered the impression that Sweden is a politically correct social democracy where the main problems women face (qua women) are oppression and rape at the hands of Muslim immigrants whose traditional misogyny is sometimes excused in the name of multicultural sensitivity. Otherwise, Scandinavia would appear to be a feminist utopia. …

But readers of Larsson’s Millennium trilogy, which has sold nearly 30 million books, know better. Larsson fearlessly exposed the true plagues menacing contemporary Sweden: rich Nazis, Christian male chauvinists, rapist legal officials, and two generations of billionaire serial killers—the first preying on Jewish women, the second on immigrant women. …

Read the whole thing there.

    Despite Fincher’s expertise, his Girl with the Dragon Tattoo winds up being The Da Vinci Code of the 2010s, only with more anal rape.

  5. Of course Sweden doesn’t have an immigration problem. Naturally, it has an integration problem. The native Swedes are failing the immigrants. The high crime rates and general terrible behaviors of the Muslims and Africans prove that.

    As we all know, there’s a gentle, law-abiding, high-IQ Swede inside of everyone, regardless of race. We’re all the same, and by the same, I mean, that everyone should be just like us. That’s the beauty of diversity: We all act like liberal whites because what else could be better.

    The hubris and conceit of liberal whites ranks right up there with the Christian missionaries of old. Same singer, different song, except this time instead of going out into the world to preach, these missionaries are bring the heathen to our shores.

    I used to think how terrible it’d be to live with the Puritans. Now I know.

  6. Does Sweden Have a Problem with Immigration-related Crime?

    Apparently there is a problem on Friday nights, according to high-level sources, however Muslims tend not to drink alcohol. In any case what is immigration-related crime? Is that stuff like forging visas, marrying cousins, female circumcision, driving on the wrong side of the road, and so on?

    Plenty of Muslims break the rules of their own religion. I read that many wealthy Gulf Arab Muslims in the oil industry love to snort cocaine at parties.

  7. Sweden is very, very white and therefore very liberal. I was there in 2013 on business, and couldn’t help but notice the embarrassing leftism on display. Museums pointed out diversity and progressiveness almost to parody. And anecdotally it permeated conversations as well. There were a few German bars around which I stopped in since the drinking options weren’t great. Striking up a conversation with a young couple, all they could talk about was how diverse America was when finding out I was from the US. They wished for more immigrants since Sweden was “too white” and of course being more diverse was just the right thing to do. Standard leftist self loathing. I tried to stay cheerful and not just roll my eyes. From the look of the gruff German bartender it didn’t seem he agreed with their flights of fancy either. Fast forward to today and examine the returns. Fires, riots, rapes, explosive crime rates. I hate to feel schadenfreude, since it could have been his mother, sister, wife getting raped…..but be careful what you wish for.

    Swedes are very reserved, so their version of the Silent Majority probably takes more to shake loose from their passivity. For their sake I hope they are waking up.

  8. The media has had a jolly time ridiculing Trump for his technically incorrect statement about Sweden in his rally — he said “yesterday” when “tomorrow” was the correct day. They have in the process made the subject of immigration in Sweden a major news item.

    There’s a problem with this logic.

    “When the Nazis came for the communists,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a communist.
    When they locked up the social democrats,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a social democrat.
    When they came for the trade unionists,
    I did not speak out;
    I was not a trade unionist.
    When they came for the Jews,
    I remained silent;
    I wasn’t a Jew.
    When they came for me,
    there was no one left to speak out.”

    Who’s to guarantee that communists, social democrats, trade unionists, and Jews would have stood up for you? If the Nazis came for you last, it probably means you’re right-wing, and those on the left would have seen you as ‘Nazi’, and if they had the power, they would have come for you first. After all, progs today seem happy with mob violence against Trump supporters. Progs love to see ‘nazis’ get punched.

    Another spin:

    When Asians came to invade my country,
    I remained silent
    because I didn’t want to be called ‘exclusionary’.

    When Mexicans came to invade my country,
    I remained silent
    because I didn’t want to be called ‘intolerant’.

    When Arabs came to invade my country,
    I did not speak out
    because I didn’t want to be called a ‘xenophobe’.

    When Africans came to invade my country
    I remained silent
    because I didn’t want to be called a ‘racist’.

    When the invaders all screamed for my head,
    no one could hear my cry of ‘innocence’.

    Haven’t people figured out that ‘inclusion’ is euphemism for INVASION?

    I mean Sweden survived as Sweden because it EXCLUDED itself from the rest of the world that is NOT Sweden. And Norway got independence from Sweden in 1905. How did it do this? It excluded itself from the Sweden-Norway Union.

    This ‘inclusion’ fixation is totally nuts. It is especially hilarious when peddled by elite institutions that retain their power and privilege by excluding most peoples.

    How can any system sustain itself by open-ended inclusion? Sure, inclusion can be beneficial if good things are added. But globalist meaning of inclusion means lack of discriminating standards. It means include everyone. What kind of system can sustain itself under such madness?

    Inclusion is Invasion.

    When a people say ‘include us’, it really means ‘let us invade you’.

    Sweden didn't get invaded much because it's strategically located on the road to the North Pole.

    Perhaps the single most frequent site for battles is Adrianople on the northwest border of Turkey. John Keegan, I believe, counted 15 battles fought there over the last few thousand years. Why? It's on the road to Constantinople, which is really strategic.

    , @Hapalong Cassidy
    Speaking of Norway, I wonder how the immigration situation there compares to Sweden and Denmark. Even more specifically, I wonder what impact the Anders Breivik incident has had on their politics. This could have gone of two ways. 1. Either the left wing doubled down like they always do (which would include continuing the same immigration policies as Sweden), and using the Breivik massacre to discredit the entire right, or 2. Since the Breivik massacre represents the only time in recent memory when the left has been punched directly in the mouth by the right, the left in Norway has become more subdued and the country has drifted towards the right.
    , @Santoculto
    Inclusion is rooting or definitive fixation.

  14. I enjoyed “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” well enough (though it sure does take a while for anything to happen in it) as an authentic foray into Swedish culture… i.e., in additon to all the myopic cultural references, it was written by a bona fide suicidally politically correct Swede. If that isn’t a peek into another culture, I don’t know what is. I enjoy Hollywood movies well enough too; I’m simply under no illusions as to their documentary value, and will take the (very) odd one that may happen to line up with my own beliefs as a pleasant surprise. Now, if you wanted me to tell you about something I really enjoy that also happens to line up with the way I think, I’d have to go to misanthropic French novelists…

    The author, Stieg Larsson, was a life long inhabitant of the far left and also founded Expo, a magazine dedicated to anti-Nazism and pro-immigration. A typical Swedish shit journalist, in other words, but one who struck gold.

    He was assassinated by capitalism, one day walking too many stairs up to his office and having a heart attack, and died intestate, which, most amusingly, meant his unmarried shitlib partner Eva ended up with nothing and his estranged (but also commie) brothers with a lot of dough. Some caterwauling followed, without effect.

    Yes, this is very typical. Frequently I only find out about a riot that was hardly covered at all in the media through follow up stories about how most Muslims didn't support the riot, and how the police are recruiting youth role models (i.e. gang leaders) to be employed by the government as consultants on how to control the violence.

    Trump called the media the 'enemy of the American People.'

    This entire discussion about whether or not immigrants commit crimes at disproportionate rates in countries like Sweden is a bit of a red herring in my opinion as far as liberals are concerned. I suspect that if they were being honest, most liberals would admit that whether or not immigrants were disproportionately crime prone was beside the point, that taking in refugees was a fundamental moral obligation and that even if immigrants were in fact more prone to crime, it must be because of economic and social disenfranchisement and a failure upon the part of the host country to adequately embrace and assimilate the migrant population.

    I would love to see a mainstream media discussion about what it fundamentally means for a group of people to be part of a country and whether or not nations have obligations to citizens other than their own. Of course, given the sheer stupidity of the punditry and the generally low quality of public discourse, I'm not getting my hopes up.

    As I've stated before, if only Sweden were ruled by a modern day Lee Kuan Yew, I suspect that we wouldn't be observing nearly as much PC insanity emanating from that country...

    Amazing in the sense that they obviously work very hard to keep people out of prison.

    Creative bookkeeping can disappear a lot of crime. Downgrading charges is routine here in NYC. For along time, cops have been using drug possession charges to put away bad guys they know are guilty of much worse.

    Here in NYC, they've decided that decriminalizing crime is the answer, because Broken Windows worked so well we have to get rid of it:

    http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/de-blasio-signs-laws-reducing-penalties-minor-crimes-nyc-article-1.2672419

    Everyone knows 'minor crimes' are crimes that affect other people. For instance, the guy they arrested for murdering the jogger in Howard Beach:

    “He doesn’t have a criminal record,” a source said. “But he’s had previous incidents in which he has expressed a hatred for women. He’s thought of hurting women or attacking women. He’s expressed a deep-seated aggression towards women. But it was nothing he’s ever acted on.

    Until Aug. 2, officials said.”

    No criminal record, but: "Police later discovered that Lewis had been hit with three summonses — dating to 2013 — near the Howard Beach crime scene."

    You saved me from digging this out, host. Because I thought of this quote halfway through your fourth sentence.

    An editor of mine sent me the trilogy for my winter reading, with much enthusiasm. I got about halfway through the first one and flung it across the room.

    Next day they became 3 out of the only 4 books I’ve ever burned.

    Sprinkled the ashes (from the firepit, since I wouldn’t pollute the wood stove with them) under one of my favorite white rhododendrons. Wood pulp to ashes, ashes to humus, humus to wood. The idea was to reconsecrate the xylem, there at the boundary between forest and firebreak.

    That beautiful robust rhodie died the next spring. True story.

    ‘Most crime happens in the Girl with Dragon Tattoo’ US comedian jokes as Sweden BURNS

    Just hours after Donald Trump was slammed by the Swedish Prime Minister, Stefan Löfven, for claiming the country was in crisis as a result of its liberal refugee policy, a violent clash erupted between police and rioters in a Stockholm suburb.

    Cars can be seen burning as a mob of around 30 rioters attack police and throw stones at the attending officers.

    Violence was sparked after the police had tried to arrest a wanted person on the subway in the hard-hit suburb of Rinkeby.

    Despite the ongoing incident, Stephen Colbert saw fit to joke about the violence as he tore into both President Trump and Fox News.

    I think we can now officially declare that their mirth and sarcasm has backfired.

    “Yesterday” was fine if it referred to events in the past. These “incidents” have been going on for a while in Sweden.

    Haven't people figured out that 'inclusion' is euphemism for INVASION?

    I mean Sweden survived as Sweden because it EXCLUDED itself from the rest of the world that is NOT Sweden. And Norway got independence from Sweden in 1905. How did it do this? It excluded itself from the Sweden-Norway Union.

    This 'inclusion' fixation is totally nuts.

    When a people say 'include us', it really means 'let us invade you'.

    Sweden didn’t get invaded much because it’s strategically located on the road to the North Pole.

    Perhaps the single most frequent site for battles is Adrianople on the northwest border of Turkey. John Keegan, I believe, counted 15 battles fought there over the last few thousand years. Why? It’s on the road to Constantinople, which is really strategic.

    That's Moldbug at his finest:
    http://unqualified-reservations.blogspot.com/2013/09/technology-communism-and-brown-scare.html

    The logic of the witch hunter is simple. It has hardly changed since Matthew Hopkins' day. The first requirement is to invert the reality of power. Power at its most basic level is the power to harm or destroy other human beings. The obvious reality is that witch hunters gang up and destroy witches. Whereas witches are never, ever seen to gang up and destroy witch hunters. By this test alone, we can see that the conspiracy is imaginary (Brown Scare) rather than real (Red Scare).

    Think about it. Obviously, if the witches had any power whatsoever, they wouldn't waste their time gallivanting around on broomsticks, fellating Satan and cursing cows with sour milk. They're getting burned right and left, for Christ's sake! Priorities! No, they'd turn the tables and lay some serious voodoo on the witch-hunters. In a country where anyone who speaks out against the witches is soon found dangling by his heels from an oak at midnight with his head shrunk to the size of a baseball, we won't see a lot of witch-hunting and we know there's a serious witch problem. In a country where witch-hunting is a stable and lucrative career, and also an amateur pastime enjoyed by millions of hobbyists on the weekend, we know there are no real witches worth a damn.

    There's a problem with this logic.

    "When the Nazis came for the communists,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a communist.
    When they locked up the social democrats,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a social democrat.
    When they came for the trade unionists,
    I did not speak out;
    I was not a trade unionist.
    When they came for the Jews,
    I remained silent;
    I wasn't a Jew.
    When they came for me,
    there was no one left to speak out."

    Who's to guarantee that communists, social democrats, trade unionists, and Jews would have stood up for you? If the Nazis came for you last, it probably means you're right-wing, and those on the left would have seen you as 'Nazi', and if they had the power, they would have come for you first. After all, progs today seem happy with mob violence against Trump supporters. Progs love to see 'nazis' get punched.

    Another spin:

    When Asians came to invade my country,
    I remained silent
    because I didn't want to be called 'exclusionary'.

    When Mexicans came to invade my country,
    I remained silent
    because I didn't want to be called 'intolerant'.

    When Arabs came to invade my country,
    I did not speak out
    because I didn't want to be called a 'xenophobe'.

    When Africans came to invade my country
    I remained silent
    because I didn't want to be called a 'racist'.

    When the invaders all screamed for my head,
    no one could hear my cry of 'innocence'.

    So what you’re saying is invaders were marching through your country and you didn’t take to the hills, organise a resistance? Pathetic!

    Tis better to have a died a man, defending the hearth of your ancestors than to have screamed like a woman when the invaders dragged cowering from beneath your bed.

    Well, they do show up in force when the local population gets restless about all the rapin' going on. The six migrants who raped a handicapped woman on the island of Gotland last year were of course ultimately not charged, but when locals were upset with this, authorities shipped in lots of police to quell any disagreement. Whew, crisis averted!

    But really, it's a very dysfunctional organization and has been so for a long time. How did they end up so useless? I think you basically start out with a low crime society, then go through a period of far leftism where criminals are victims, then you import a lot of muslims and blacks but can't or won't change how the system works. They currently have a useless pro-muslim bureaucrat climber as a boss, that can't help either. Presumably the ability to respond to burglaries has been cost cut through the years. There can't be a lot of organizational pride left there.

    I guess it doesn't help to mention that in the far north of Sweden, there can now be a six hour drive to the closest police station. When every second counts, eh?

    Not that amazing. After the riots and car burnings shown in the latest Rinkeby videos, the authorities were proud to announce that no arrests had been made. There are many ways to keep the crime rate down.

    Amazing in the sense that they obviously work very hard to keep people out of prison.

    Creative bookkeeping can disappear a lot of crime. Downgrading charges is routine here in NYC. For along time, cops have been using drug possession charges to put away bad guys they know are guilty of much worse.

    Here in NYC, they’ve decided that decriminalizing crime is the answer, because Broken Windows worked so well we have to get rid of it:

    http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/de-blasio-signs-laws-reducing-penalties-minor-crimes-nyc-article-1.2672419

    Everyone knows ‘minor crimes’ are crimes that affect other people.

    No criminal record, but: “Police later discovered that Lewis had been hit with three summonses — dating to 2013 — near the Howard Beach crime scene.”

    I read somewhere that he died intestate because he was afraid to marry. It seems that in Sweden when you marry you have to publish your address and he was afraid to let racists know where he lived. You'd imagine he could have arranged a temporary address for the purpose, but it didn't seem to occur to him.

    A fitting end, one might say.

    When a people say 'include us', it really means 'let us invade you'.

    There's a problem with this logic.

    "When the Nazis came for the communists,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a communist.
    When they locked up the social democrats,
    I remained silent;
    I was not a social democrat.
    When they came for the trade unionists,
    I did not speak out;
    I was not a trade unionist.
    When they came for the Jews,
    I remained silent;

    … I could not speak out
    Because it was no longer my country.

    Swedish police have a shockingly poor crime clearance rate, as shown by statistics.

    Most if not all of the crimes reported at last summer's refugee rape fest were quietly closed due to 'lack of evidence'. No witnesses at a music festival, one supposes. No nothing.

    Anecdotally, a friend of mine in a nice suburb (near Rinkeby, as it happens) had burglars abscond with belongings worth several tens of thousands of dollars, and the police didn't even show up the next day to examine the crime scene or take a statement. He got a mailed statement he could take to his insurance company though.

    It's a worthless organization.

    So Wallender and Martin Beck have retired, leaving the force to a younger generation?

  71. Swedish Meatball Heads Have Destroyed Sweden Using Mass Immigration. Minnesota on same course.

    Swedish people are mostly stupid. But not all Swedes are stupid morons. There are many Swedes in Sweden and the United States who understand that mass immigration is a destructive force that will kill cultural cohesion.

    There are a lot of Swedes in the United States. Most of them are in Minnesota and surrounding states. New Jersey and New Hampshire also have some Swedes. The area that became the colony of New Jersey was split by the Dutch and the Swedes before the English dislodged them from control of the region. New Hampshire is damn close to Britain and Scandinavia; look at a globe.

    The Swedish Lutherans in New Hampshire are moneygrubbers who profit from importing REFUGEE OVERLOAD into New Hampshire. These New Hampshire Swedes are immoral and evil. The same type of immoral and evil Swedes are importing non-Europeans into Sweden.

    Sweden looks set to join France and the United States as nations heading for civil war. The cause of the upcoming civil wars in Sweden, France and the United States will be mass immigration. The civil wars will be bloody and they may take a long time to settle.

    I hope the Swedes in the United States and Sweden reconsider their enthusiasm for importing non-Europeans into the United States and Sweden. That will determine how severe the civil wars will be.

    MEXICO CITY — Mexico will vigorously fight U.S. mass deportations of undocumented immigrants back to Mexico and refuse to accept any non-Mexicans expelled across the border, Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray vowed Wednesday.

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2017/02/22/foriegn-minister-mexico-immigrations-proposals/98252710/

    Same issue for the Europeans trying to expel immigrants back to MENA and sub-Saharan Africa. What happens when the immigrants’ home countries refuse to take them back? The Europeans have tried bribing the home countries … which quickly morphs into an expensive extortion racket.

    I wager a little 19th Century “gunboat” diplomacy is in order. Otherwise, the principle is established that, although military invasions are passé these days, soft invasions to take over countries through mass migration is de rigueur as a new-found human right … and irreversible.

    You saved me from digging this out, host. Because I thought of this quote halfway through your fourth sentence.

    An editor of mine sent me the trilogy for my winter reading, with much enthusiasm. I got about halfway through the first one and flung it across the room.

    Next day they became 3 out of the only 4 books I've ever burned.

    Sprinkled the ashes (from the firepit, since I wouldn't pollute the wood stove with them) under one of my favorite white rhododendrons. Wood pulp to ashes, ashes to humus, humus to wood. The idea was to reconsecrate the xylem, there at the boundary between forest and firebreak.

    That beautiful robust rhodie died the next spring. True story.

    The books seem no worse than average for the genre, judging by the one I read. The logic of the witch hunter is simple. It has hardly changed since Matthew Hopkins’ day.

Obviously, if the witches had any power whatsoever, they wouldn’t waste their time gallivanting around on broomsticks, fellating Satan and cursing cows with sour milk. They’re getting burned right and left, for Christ’s sake! Priorities! No, they’d turn the tables and lay some serious voodoo on the witch-hunters. In a country where anyone who speaks out against the witches is soon found dangling by his heels from an oak at midnight with his head shrunk to the size of a baseball, we won’t see a lot of witch-hunting and we know there’s a serious witch problem. In a country where witch-hunting is a stable and lucrative career, and also an amateur pastime enjoyed by millions of hobbyists on the weekend, we know there are no real witches worth a damn.

    Sweden is very, very white and therefore very liberal. I was there in 2013 on business, and couldn't help but notice the embarrassing leftism on display. Museums pointed out diversity and progressiveness almost to parody. And anecdotally it permeated conversations as well. There were a few German bars around which I stopped in since the drinking options weren't great. Striking up a conversation with a young couple, all they could talk about was how diverse America was when finding out I was from the US. They wished for more immigrants since Sweden was "too white" and of course being more diverse was just the right thing to do. Standard leftist self loathing. I tried to stay cheerful and not just roll my eyes. From the look of the gruff German bartender it didn't seem he agreed with their flights of fancy either. Fast forward to today and examine the returns. Fires, riots, rapes, explosive crime rates. I hate to feel schadenfreude, since it could have been his mother, sister, wife getting raped.....but be careful what you wish for.

    Swedes are very reserved, so their version of the Silent Majority probably takes more to shake loose from their passivity. For their sake I hope they are waking up.
