A common theme in respectable discourse at present is that the selfish career ambitions of individual white men must often take a back seat to broader societal goals such as diversity, social justice, inclusion, fighting cultural appropriation, the war on whitewashing, and so forth.

On the other hand, a theme utterly unheard except in the most reprehensible hate speech is the idea that the career ambitions of individual Jews should sometimes take a back seat for any reason, even world peace.

Thus, in the New York Times today, Dennis Ross explains how Dennis Ross’s fabulous foreign policy career molding America’s stance toward Israel proves that the worst thing imaginable would have been if he’d been asked to have worked instead on, say, the South American desk at the State Department just because he’s profoundly biased in favor of Israel:

Memories of an Anti-Semitic State Department
By DENNIS B. ROSS SEPT. 26, 2017

The former C.I.A. officer Valerie Plame Wilson made news with her Twitter account last week when, on the first day of Rosh Hashana, she shared an article that said, “America’s Jews are driving America’s wars: Shouldn’t they recuse themselves when dealing with the Middle East?

“Recusal” is a pretty common practice — the idea is that judges or government officials recuse themselves from a role over subjects in which they are not disinterested.

The article, which appeared on a fringe website, said that Jewish neoconservatives were pushing for a war with Iran. Ms. Wilson, whose identity as a covert operative was leaked in 2003 by members of the George W. Bush administration nettled by the opposition of her husband, Ambassador Joseph Wilson, to the Iraq war, repeated the well-worn narrative that Jewish neoconservatives promoted the invasion of Iraq — and are beating the drum for a conflict with Iran.

Of course, most Jews are not neoconservatives, and most neoconservatives are not Jewish. In any case, it was two influential non-Jews, Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who played the central role with President Bush in deciding to invade Iraq in 2003. Ignoring the old saying about when you are in a hole you should stop digging, Ms. Wilson made some excuses and then mentioned that she is of Jewish descent. Finally, she apologized.

I have little interest in piling on Ms. Wilson. But the whole affair brought back some memories about how Jews were perceived within the national security apparatus for a long time. When I began working in the Pentagon during President Jimmy Carter’s administration, there was an unspoken but unmistakable assumption: If you were Jewish, you could not work on the Middle East because you would be biased.

However, if you knew about the Middle East because you came from a missionary family or from the oil industry, you were an expert. Never mind that having such a background might shape a particular view of the region, the United States’ interests in it, or Israel. People with these backgrounds were perceived to be unbiased, while Jews could not be objective and would be partial to Israel to the exclusion of American interests.

Sometimes, I would find this view expressed subtly. Other times it would be overt, including well after Secretary of State George Shultz tried to change the culture of the State Department during the early years of the Reagan’ administration. For Mr. Shultz, being Jewish was no longer a disqualification from working on Arab-Israeli issues. He was more interested in your knowledge than your identity. …

And yet, I remember well the time in 1990, when I was the head of the State Department’s policy planning staff, I was visited by a diplomatic security investigator who was doing a background check on someone who had listed me as a reference. This person was being considered for a senior position in the George H. W. Bush administration, not one directly involved with the Middle East.

At one point, the investigator asked me a question that is routine in these background checks: Was this person loyal to the United States? I answered yes, without a doubt. But his follow-up question was if this person had to choose between America’s interests and Israel’s, whose interests would he put first? There was nothing subtle about this presumption of dual loyalty.

“Why would you ask that question?” I asked, even though I realized I might not be helping the person using me as a reference. He answered, “Because he is Jewish.” So I went on: If he was Irish and had to work on problems related to Ireland or if he was Italian and had to work on Italy, would you ask that question? Initially, the investigator did not seem to know how to respond, but then I saw a look of recognition. He suddenly realized that I was Jewish. And, at that point, he changed the subject.

… Just like Ms. Wilson tweeting that Jews are pushing for a new war. It is the definition of prejudice. How can it not be when you label a whole group and ascribe to all those who are a part of it a particular negative trait or threatening behavior? It is the same today with those who single out all Muslims as dangerous extremists. It is just as unacceptable.

Today, surging nationalism and xenophobia promise to create even more prejudice. These attitudes foster an “us versus them” mentality. The “other” is a threat. And once you have singled out groups, the leap is small to imposing limits on them, quarantining them and rationalizing violence against them.

Rather than be worried about being mistrusted and accused of dual loyalties, Jewish American should feel proud. In uncertain times, identity can provide a source of security and comfort. And having a strong identity, being comfortable with who you are and whom you are connected to, need not come at the expense of others. As my rabbi, Jonathan Maltzman, pointed out in his Rosh Hashana sermon, the particular and the universal have always been embedded in Jewish identity.

Dennis Ross is the counselor at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and the author, most recently, of “Doomed to Succeed: The U.S.-Israeli Relationship from Truman to Obama.”

From Wikipedia a few years ago, when I was researching the Israeli thinktank Jewish People Planning Institute, of which Ross had been Chairman:

Dennis B. Ross (born November 26, 1948) is an American diplomat and author. He has served as the Director of Policy Planning in the State Department under President George H. W. Bush, the special Middle East coordinator under President Bill Clinton, and is currently a special adviser for the Persian Gulf and Southwest Asia (which includes Iran) to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Ross was born in San Francisco and grew up in Marin County. His Jewish mother and Catholic stepfather raised him in a non-religious atmosphere.[2]… He later became religiously Jewish after the Six Day War.[2] In 2002 he co-founded the Kol Shalom synagogue in Rockville, Maryland.[2]

During President Jimmy Carter‘s administration, Ross worked under Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz in the Pentagon. There, he co-authored a study recommending greater U.S. intervention in “the Persian Gulf Region because of our need for Persian Gulf oil and because events in the Persian Gulf affect the Arab-Israeli conflict.”[4] During the Reagan administration, Ross served as director of Near East and South Asian affairs in the National Security Council and Deputy Director of the Pentagon’s Office of Net Assessment (1982–84).[3]

… In the mid-1980s Ross co-founded with Martin Indyk the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC)-sponsored Washington Institute for Near East Policy (“WINEP”).[5] His first WINEP paper called for appointment of a “non-Arabist Special Middle East envoy” who would “not feel guilty about our relationship with Israel.” …

In the summer of 1993 President Bill Clinton named Ross Middle East envoy…. According to Aaron David Miller, a member of the Ross-led US negotiating team in 1999-2000, under Ross they frequently acted as “Israel’s lawyer”, and their policy of “no surprises” (meaning all US proposals were first reviewed by Israel), led to a lack of negotiating flexibility and independence.

But the point is that having Ross work on something other than Israel for the U.S. Government would have been anti-Semitism, which is the worst thing imaginable.

The Six-Day War and Yom Kippur War both seemed to have ignited a lot of lapsed American Jews into rediscovering their ethnic roots, faith, and Israel. It seems American Jews were just expected Israel to lose those wars, as dominant self-loathing mindset of Jews of the time was that they viewed themselves as the wussy/cowardly Woody Allen archetype (who of course made his jokes about being Hitler's barber and not having any courage to hurt him at the time).

Then Israel won and suddenly American Jews started seeming them as winners, and started heavily investing in their culture, rather than seeing themselves as the "hard luck losers" their theater and WW2 had taught them.

Interestingly, it was also at this time that the Troubles reignited in Ireland over British occupation of the North, leading many Irish-Americans to start once again taking an interest in Irish politics (and covertly funding IRA activities and taking interest in getting the Brits out).

Once it was clear that the U.S. was pulling out of Vietnam, communist agents saw their job at killing U.S. morale in the war was largely complete, and apparently after 1968 through the 1970s turned their attention to fomenting ethnic rebellions against other U.S. allies (the IRA against the British, the Arabs against the Israelis) and fomenting ethnic rebellion within the U.S. (FALN, Black Panthers).

These post-1968 communist actions were far less successful than creating the chaotic anti-war violence of the 1960s and getting a bunch of drugged out homesick college kids to rise up in various nations simultaneously in 1968. Without the Vietnam war as a unifying force, communists couldn't get a critical mass of people around to join in, and the groups became outlaws rather than the heroes of the 60s. (This is similar to how, after communists organized a lot of groups into successful unions, they stopped attending communist meetings).

To get off my tangent, Jews like Ross have an amazing ability to deny that the elephant in the room is in anyway causing a problem, and many highly-verbal but less-pragmatic people seem to fall for their nonsensical doubletalk. Someone should just read that article on TV somewhere and just start laughing at Ross's denial of reality. It's really the only way to combat his sheer nonsense---it doesn't deserve dignity, it deserves humiliation.

I knew a man who converted to Judaism just to join the IDF. He went over there for a few years and served then came back to the states and married this very strange Jewish woman. He had an Ordinary middle class American upbringing then became an extreme Zionist after reading about Israeli history. He was the staunchest Zionist I ever met.

He never talked about his religious convictions just political and military.

  2. Unless you deny the presence of the elephant in the room that also happens to be crushing your foot, you’re an anti-semitic bigot, honky bitch. Oh – and while I’m spitting in your face, allow me to blow some self-aggrandizingly ethnic smoke up my own ass.

Israel’s lawyer… I remember that from stories years ago about him harpooning the Palestinian-Israeli peace plans by simply making sure the board always tipped about 45 degrees in Israel’s favor. He made a comeback in the early years of the Obama Administration I believe, doing business at the same old stand.

No wonder our forefathers wanted to avoid these arrogant, insufferable assholes.

  3. Aaron David Miller, whom you cite against Ross, is Jewish and was often opposed to Israel’s interests (at least as perceived by Israel’s government).

Similarly, the leaders of J Street, the Meretz Party, and Ha’aretz newspaper are Jewish, and are hardly neocons.

Your point does not hold water.

Let me get this straight. Non-neoconservative Jews exist, and there also exists at least one prominent Jew who has criticized the founder of AIPAC, therefore none of Steve's points are valid, and we can safely stop Noticing any "coincidences" about American foreign policy vis-a-vis Israel and the extreme Jewish over-representation in the Departments of State and Defense.

    Did I get that right?

Side note: you may want to invest in an introductory Logic textbook.

Aaron David Miller, a former State Department official, says U.S. acted as 'Israel's lawyer' in peace talks.
Miller writes that many ethnic groups, such as the Irish and the Cubans, are deeply involved in American foreign relations; however, no group in America can compete with the clout of the Jewish community with its influence on centers of power.

Shultz and Weinberger were from Bechtel. The company and the oil bidness were material to implementation of US foreign policy. Oil makes the world economy run, and countries will overlook a lot of repression if it keeps the taps open. Witness how Japan, among others, kept going through various oil-related political criseslike embargoes.

  5. Anybody with more info please enlighten us…

I remember finding the brief assignments that foreign service officers worked at different diplomatic posts before rotating to completely different countries very puzzling. It didn’t make sense that after finally getting familiar with the situation & language that diplomats would be rotated someplace else and have to start all over to learn a whole new language and material. Eventually somebody explained that it was actually feature not a bug that the frequent rotation and perpetual restarting from zero made acquisition of deep familiarity, expertise & relationships in a country all but impossible. Diplomats are supposed to serve the United States and not the nation where they’re stationed, hence excessive familiarity (and the mixed loyalties that go with it) were to be avoided.

Can anybody confirm, deny or otherwise explain the actual rationale behind the brief rotations that inevitably make it impossible for our diplomats to acquire deep expertise of the lands they are covering?

Otherwise this “fringe website” cited by Ms. Plame sounds interesting….

As an ex spook told me the liaisons to foreign intelligence services were always treated with suspicion as they had a tendency to begin seeing things from the foreign intelligence agency's perspective, and in some cases were actually recruited. See Angleton who managed the Israel desk at the CIA or those Frenchies recently arrested who were suspected of being recruited by the Israelis.

"Going native" was always a problem. OTOH, being clueless about the natives is also a problem.
    , @Diversity Heretic
The risk is that diplomats with long experience in a specific country will "go native," and begin representing that country's interests back against the United States. They'll constantly explain how American interests are unrealistic and need to be adjusted in light of the interests of the country in which they serve. It's a very real risk and one of the reasons for diplomatic rotation.

  8. Of course it wouldn’t have been antisemitism if Ross had been assigned to the South America desk or something else at the State Department. But Ross does raise a legitimate point there about the paucity of disinterested personnel when it comes to the Mideast. Are there many foreign policy or national security officials who fall in the exact midpoint between Dennis Ross and Phil Geraldi? Maybe Kissinger did, but since then?

Seriously, a foreign policy establishment that would, e.g., prop up the PA and insist that they be "brought back to the table" AFTER supporting Saddam Hussein in the original Gulf War is not ubiquitously and univocally pro-Israel. There may have been any number of strong pro-Israel voices at various times at State, but to say that the State Dep't "Swamp" is so is ludicrous.

From Boston to Belfast: America's focus for the Irish 'troubles'; How much help does the IRA get from here? August 27, 1981

The American contribution, however, may still be only 15 to 20 percent of the IRA's total funding, which still depends heavily on bank heists in the Republic. More important to the terrorists than the dollar is the feeling that America is behind them. As Dublin Mayor Fergus O'Brien said on a recent visit to New York with the mayor of Belfast, "it is the moral support terrorists feel they have from Americans, and the financial aid from here, we hope to change."

point out that "nearly two per cent of the population of Northern Ireland have been killed or injured through political violence [...] If the equivalent ratio of victims to population had been produced in Great Britain in the same period some 100,000 people would have died, and if a similar level of political violence had taken place, the number of fatalities in the USA would have been over 500,000".[197] Using this relative comparison to the US, analyst John M. Gates suggests that whatever one calls the conflict, it was "certainly not" a "low intensity conflict".[198]

Euromongrels have the smarts to go after the German vote in the United States. President Trump is 1/2 German and 1/2 Scottish. President Trump is something of a Euromongrel. His Scottish ancestry may be Scandinavian and/or Celtic.

A Euromongrel who has ancestry that colonized, settled and pioneered America before it was the United States will explicitly combine the Southern Strategy with the German Strategy to win the presidency. That is basically what Trump did by winning Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Those state are loaded up with patriotic Americans of German ancestry. Trump is the start of the destruction of the WASP / Jew ruling class in the American Empire.

We’ve got to know his background. I’m saying these things because they are real, and if I don’t think that, and I think even if today the Prime Minister doesn’t think carefully about this, we could have a tragedy. So, these are problems which, as poly[technic] students, you’re colour-blind to, but when you face life in reality, it’s a different proposition.”

This is the one of the key differences between the Chinese or the Japanese versus say white Americans. Despite the Jewish edge in IQ, it's hard to imagine that Chinese or Japanese would ever put up with the kind of shit that white Americans have let Jews in this country do if hypothetically there was ever a Jewish population in East Asia. How can a relatively small group of people effectively hijack the political and military apparatus of an entire country of over 320 million?

What does it say about the men of a country when they can't even stand up for their fundamental right to self determination as a people? Or is this less a country of real men and instead more a country of emasculated eunuchs? Sometimes I wonder...

In this previous comment I said I would like to see NFL kneelers explain on camera why they’re kneeling — instead here is an op-ed by Eric Reid in the NYT:

Eric Reid: Why Colin Kaepernick and I Decided to Take a Knee

It contains the usual (We know that racism and white privilege are both very much alive today) — the only specific incident he mentions is Alton Sterling — you can look up that case — brief summary: black guy with long rap sheet (including violent offenses) who has a loaded weapon in his pocket violently resists arrest and is shot dead — the Obama DOJ investigates — under Trump it decides not to charge.

Like I said: putting each of these kneelers in front of a TV camera would ‘red pill’ a large number of white Americans — even more if eg Jared Taylor was then also given a few minutes.

Someone should just read that article on TV somewhere and just start laughing at Ross’s denial of reality. It’s really the only way to combat his sheer nonsense—it doesn’t deserve dignity, it deserves humiliation.

Catholics have the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, Jews have Israel.

From Boston to Belfast: America’s focus for the Irish ‘troubles’; How much help does the IRA get from here? August 27, 1981

The American contribution, however, may still be only 15 to 20 percent of the IRA’s total funding, which still depends heavily on bank heists in the Republic. More important to the terrorists than the dollar is the feeling that America is behind them. As Dublin Mayor Fergus O’Brien said on a recent visit to New York with the mayor of Belfast, “it is the moral support terrorists feel they have from Americans, and the financial aid from here, we hope to change.”

    https://www.csmonitor.com/1981/0827/082761.html

point out that “nearly two per cent of the population of Northern Ireland have been killed or injured through political violence [...] If the equivalent ratio of victims to population had been produced in Great Britain in the same period some 100,000 people would have died, and if a similar level of political violence had taken place, the number of fatalities in the USA would have been over 500,000″.[197] Using this relative comparison to the US, analyst John M. Gates suggests that whatever one calls the conflict, it was “certainly not” a “low intensity conflict”.[198]

As I say in a previous post, the U.S.'s fundamental incompetence in the domain of human intelligence is probably to blame for the failure to recognize and head off the aiding and abetting of the I.R.A.. At the time, the traditional prejudice that Jews would be biased toward Israel led them by blind luck to the correct conclusion, but since we are no longer allowed to hold this prejudice and our humanistic capacities are weaker than ever we cannot possibly get anywhere on this question.

On the Irish question, however, we never had a chance. The sense that Irish Catholics had largely assimilated into Anglo-American society by the third and fourth generation was for the most part correct. To understand how and why a significant number of them could reject their All-American flag-saluting upbringings and get "back into it" would have required a bird's-eye level of self criticism about American lore and American culture not particularly widespread in American culture and definitely not in Washington, D.C..

Yet had someone recognized this at the time, there would have been ample opportunity to nip the problem at the source. American Catholics at the time were still very much beholden to the guidance of the clergy, whose Irish counterparts inside Northern Ireland were not altogether thrilled at the strange juxtaposition between Catholic confessional identity and an irredentist ideal flirting with Marxist founding principles. Despite longstanding NI Protestant fears that "Home Rule is Rome Rule" the religious aspect of the Troubles always remained strictly confessional. There was plenty of opportunity to enlist the American Catholic hierarchy to curb moral support and stymie the material outflow, if anyone had cared to think of it.

    , @Anon
It may surprise you to learn that there are other Catholics besides Irish...

(or that the Irish government is not particularly pro-revolution, which revolution is pretty Marxist anyway)

Well I would hope if I were considered for the head of the Belfast station they would ask if my half Irish ancestry might affect my views, because of course they would, despite an effort to not they certainly would, and not only am I only technically half irish I’m half English and can get an english Passport. But I would certainly look at a situation through the lens of what had been culturally passed down.Wasnt Ronald Reagan reluctant to simply declare the IRA terrorists for Thatcher and pressured the Britts to wind down the occupation?
Whats odd is how the (((author))) thinks hes picked a safe red herring with Italy and Ireland, after all who cars about those dinky countries tight. Which begs the question why exactly is that, there’s hundreds of times more Irish here than jews, and much longer and were more closely culturally now and at the founding by our celtic cousins. So why the hell is Israel a third rate hellhole in the asshole of the world such a big fucking part of our national foreign policy if not because jews have used their influence to make it so.

  29. Concerns of American diplomacy in Poland via Wikileaks:

Cimoszewicz stated that it was “shameful” that the
private property issue had still not been solved, and
expressed his regrets that no consultations had taken place.
Citing his own family,s loss of property in Ukraine, he said
he understood the deep emotional attachment to ancestral
property, however, “history cannot be reversed” and in rem
restitution was just not possible. He rejected the idea of a
separate law on Jewish property as unrealistic.

    ——————-

Jewish community members generally agree that acts of
violence against Jews are rare in Poland. (NB: This is also
a reflection of Poland’s small Jewish population. While some
estimates place the total number of Jews as high as 50,000,
only about 4,000 are active members of Jewish communities).
That said, there are still reports of Polish youth shouting
anti-Semitic remarks, occasional cemetery desecrations, and
    prominent anti-Semitic graffiti.

    ——————-

A strong reason for Church leaders’ reluctance to
confront anti-Semitism, and Father Rydzyk specifically, is
the fear of exposing internal divisions.

    ——————-

The lack of anti-Semitic violence in Poland
notwithstanding, the Government, judiciary, and educational
system must do more to confront anti-Semitic rhetoric and
stereotypes. We continue to stress the need for such
undertakings in our dialogue with national and local
government officials. In addition, the Embassy provides
financial assistance to send Polish teachers to the United
States for Holocaust education and co-hosts related training
and conferences in Poland. We also promote tolerance by
sponsoring conferences and cultural events (e.g., photo
exhibitions, film festivals), by conducting outreach through
our various speakers programs, and through international
    visitor programs.

This is why the JQ, in some forms, can be seen as massive distraction. The Jews have God's protection, as long as they uphold the covenant. That wasn't the bargain with the rest of us.

Discussing the JQ is helpful in understanding that many in positions of power today don't have a vested interest in the the people whom they have power over, but that's where it ends.

The problem is that the US--an Anglo-German country that graciously opened its doors to some minority populations--has always had to contend with 5th column activists like you. For every American that advocates in favor of the core citizenry, there's a subversive like you who speaks up with a "that's not who we are" message about how America is multicultural. The message resonates with mid-western-nice-type white Americans, and in that atmosphere, it's much easier to take advantage by asserting a minority status.

And that is what you'd like to happen with Asian-Americans, isn't it? --to keep asserting their special immigration status, based in income but also in the US history of having minority populations, until they replace Jews in elite positions in the US.

LKY was right to say that ethnicities act in their own favor in multi-ethnic states. In this case, you're advocating for whites to turn on the smartest subset of their population and for them to keep importing your own ethnicity to work in high-paying, influential jobs. Nationalistic pragmatism, my ass.

If you want Americans to start standing up for their fundamental right to self-determination, you need to stop pretending that the basis of society is money and acknowledge that the US is based on shared culture that is basically white and not amenable to a large influx of Chinese.

George Kennan was hands down one of the wisest men we ever had in government, if a little out of place as an old style European conservative in American culture. He was pessimistic, realistic about human nature, introverted, and had a deep consciousness of the flaws of man. He knew that regimes come and go, but national psychology lives on. And his knowledge and clear deep attachment to the sprawling lands of the former Russian Empire, his love of the people and culture, and his dislike for the Bolsheviks who perverted it, was clearly sincere.

Which makes it particularly fitting that bien-pensant mediocrities spit on his grave today.

    In other news:

    http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/press_box/2010/12/nixons_jewish_problem.html

Apparently, we are supposed to find it "extremely offensive" that Nixon was unwilling to kill tens of millions of people in a nuclear holocaust because his critics demanded that American foreign policy toward Russia be subordinated to how nice it was for Jews. Not anti-Semitism, but "worse" than anti-Semitism.

Needless to say, this solicitous attitude toward human freedom didn't exactly extend to other people in the USSR, for whom life by and large still sucked-and most certainly not to Asians. The sheer naiveté a lot of lefties in the day regarding North Korea, Maoist China, the Khmer Rouge, the PKI, et all, is simply stunning.

Never mind that having such a background might shape a particular view of the region, the United States’ interests in it, or Israel. People with these backgrounds were perceived to be unbiased, while Jews could not be objective and would be partial to Israel to the exclusion of American interests.

Yes, why would people express suspicions of biases among Jews (read: actively religious/cultural Jews, rather than someone who happened to grow up Jewish but ignores all religious/cultural aspects) creating Middle Eastern foreign policy rather than oil workers or missionaries. Might it have to do with the difference between potentially supporting the interests of a foreign state vs. supporting the interests of an industry or religious agenda? The latter two can often be complementary to government policy, the former… not so much.

Anybody with more info please enlighten us...

I remember finding the brief assignments that foreign service officers worked at different diplomatic posts before rotating to completely different countries very puzzling. It didn't make sense that after finally getting familiar with the situation & language that diplomats would be rotated someplace else and have to start all over to learn a whole new language and material. Eventually somebody explained that it was actually feature not a bug that the frequent rotation and perpetual restarting from zero made acquisition of deep familiarity, expertise & relationships in a country all but impossible. Diplomats are supposed to serve the United States and not the nation where they're stationed, hence excessive familiarity (and the mixed loyalties that go with it) were to be avoided.

Can anybody confirm, deny or otherwise explain the actual rationale behind the brief rotations that inevitably make it impossible for our diplomats to acquire deep expertise of the lands they are covering?

Kissinger prioritised removing Soviet influence from the Middle East for a reason. As always these changes begin before they become apparent. Although it was really Clinton when it became institutionalised and publicly celebrated.

Of course it wouldn't have been antisemitism if Ross had been assigned to the South America desk or something else at the State Department. But Ross does raise a legitimate point there about the paucity of disinterested personnel when it comes to the Mideast. Are there many foreign policy or national security officials who fall in the exact midpoint between Dennis Ross and Phil Geraldi? Maybe Kissinger did, but since then?

Seriously, a foreign policy establishment that would, e.g., prop up the PA and insist that they be “brought back to the table” AFTER supporting Saddam Hussein in the original Gulf War is not ubiquitously and univocally pro-Israel. There may have been any number of strong pro-Israel voices at various times at State, but to say that the State Dep’t “Swamp” is so is ludicrous.

But what other group is automatically given dual citizenship in both the U.S. and Israel, and a guaranteed right to emigrate to Israel — which just happens to get billions a year in U.S. taxpayer money and has the most effective foreign lobby in Washington?

The question is, how can you not suspect them of dual loyalties?

In a thousand years there will still be Jews. How powerful or numerous they will be is an open question but they will certainly still exist.

Various nations of white people? Good question. I hope to hell we do.

In a thousand years there will still be Jews.

Probably so, but there may not be anymore Reform Jews in 50 years. The more liberal sects of Judaism are dying out rapidly because they aren’t having children and they don’t really believe in the religion anymore. They’ve replaced the God of Abraham with virulent SJWism and hand-wringing about the Holocaust. It’s an extremely toxic and unsustainable belief system.

You're right that the grandchildren (if any) of today's Reform Jews won't be Reform Jews but there will still be the children of Orthodox Jews who will bleed off into Reform Judaism on their way to intermarriage and atheism within a couple of generations. As long as there is a ongoing body of Orthodox Jews there will always be a small number of offspring who will want a lite version of their religion.

  51. Anonymous • Disclaimer says:

I used to work as a clearance background investigator in D.C. I don’t believe Ross or think he might have misremembered that background interview question.

I always used to feel a little uneasy when interviewing Jews about Jews when asking the standard question, “Do [Subject] have any sympathy or preference for any foreign country or organization?”* And of course, there would be hesitation and an answer about how Israel is important to [Subject], …yada, yada, yada… but there is no reason to question [Subject's] loyalty to the U.S.

In my work I had Subject’s (American-born Jews who obtained Israeli citizenship as adults) saying they would never renounce their Israeli citizenship because it’s too important to him/her. And it never appeared to affect his/her position in the federal government.

Federal jobs are not easy to get. Especially the more important ones I was doing clearance backgrounds on. But I would often see young American Jews largely with unimpressive academic backgrounds (2nd-tier or 3rd-tier schools) who had pretty extensive ties to Israel- including having lived and worked there, financial ties (Israeli bonds), etc.- landing these important gigs. It totally baffled me. Especially knowing that when picking this candidate they had to pass over a thousand gentile applicants with top-tier academic backgrounds and work experience who didn’t have any foreign involvement red flags.

*I’d also felt uneasy about interviewing Irish-Americans about Irish-American Subjects and asking them if they know about any alcohol misuse or abuse by Subject.

If there isn’t a term for this, there should be. Positing a fact together with a lie in order to make the lie look like truth. Neo-conservatism was created by Jews, and at least 80% of the identifiable neocons are Jewish, probably more. Irving Kristol, Bill’s father, was the “Godfather of Neo-conservatism.” The original bunch were Trotskyites who left the Democratic party because they felt the Republicans were a better bet to aid them in fighting wars for Israel. It’s about as Jewish as Zionism.

  55. The article, which appeared on a fringe website

As websites go, Unz.com seems particularly un-fringey. It’s on the fringe in terms of politics, but compared to most websites in a general sense, it’s not on the fringe.

repeated the well-worn narrative that Jewish neoconservatives promoted the invasion of Iraq

Let’s not misuse the English language, Ross. If that narrative is “well-worn,” then what’s the holocaust? Decomposing? Crumbled to dust? So tattered it fell apart years ago? Disintegrated?

and most neoconservatives are not Jewish.

I’m not sure that’s true, at the leadership level.

In any case, it was two influential non-Jews, Vice President Dick Cheney and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who played the central role with President Bush in deciding to invade Iraq in 2003.

Oh yeah, I’ve always said the War Party is an unholy alliance between the US military industrial complex, and Zionists.

Until relatively recently, Jews were rightly seen as security risks because of their Zionism; it’s loyalty to a foreign power, after all.

    Patented disloyal answer.

He suddenly realized that I was Jewish. And, at that point, he changed the subject.

So, he was being questioned by an ignoramus who didn’t know Ross is a very common Jewish surname. Gotcha.

… Just like Ms. Wilson tweeting that Jews are pushing for a new war. It is the definition of prejudice. How can it not be when you label a whole group and ascribe to all those who are a part of it a particular negative trait or threatening behavior?

Leaving aside the fact that the ignoramus was asking a question, not ascribing a behavior to an entire group, I am reminded here of Jewish behavior.

    Like, say, their:

1 habit of pinning “White Privilege” on Whites.
2 habit of pinning “antisemitism” on gentiles.
3 habit of blaming the “other” for absolutely EVERYTHING in each of the many Jew-gentile conflicts throughout history, with a partial exception for the very salient one going on right now that can’t be entirely whitewashed because too many people are watching at the moment.

It is the same today with those who single out all Muslims as dangerous extremists. It is just as unacceptable.

Of course, Ross’ entire reason for drawing this parallel is to protect his people, the Jews, from criticism.

Today, surging nationalism and xenophobia promise to create even more prejudice. These attitudes foster an “us versus them” mentality. The “other” is a threat. And once you have singled out groups, the leap is small to imposing limits on them, quarantining them and rationalizing violence against them.

This is really rich coming from a Jew. Jewish identity is at least as shot-through with an “us and them” mentality as any other in the world. The “other” is absolutely a threat. Jews impose very real limits on non-Jews in their homeland. And if you haven’t seen Jews rationalize violence against outgroups, you haven’t met many Zionists.

Rather than be worried about being mistrusted and accused of racism, White Americans should feel proud. In uncertain times, identity can provide a source of security and comfort. And having a strong identity, being comfortable with who you are and whom you are connected to, need not come at the expense of others. As my minister, John Malthus, pointed out in his Easter sermon, the particular and the universal have always been embedded in European identity.

Jews make the first statement, and vociferously oppose the second one; have a Zion for themselves, but adamantly oppose the idea of Zions for White Americans. It’s all down to their ethnic self-interest, period. Whites can learn valuable lessons by paying close attention to Jewish behavior.

A couple of musings come to mind:

    1. Had the State Department been a bit more paranoid about the Irish Question, there might have been some smaller chance of American arms causing trouble over in the British Isles.
    2. The reason there were no geopolitical implications for the U.S. of The Troubles in Northern Ireland is that by the 1970s Britain was as much an American vassal as an American ally. They could never have afforded to give us hell over the issue.
    3. Not all Americans of Irish and Italian ancestry are eligible to claim Irish or Italian nationality (though a large portion of Italian-Americans may), but in principle *every* Jew is eligible to make Aaliyah and claim Israeli nationality.
    4. Unlike claims of Israeli nationality, Irish and Italian nationality have no de jure coterminosity with a religious confession transcending country of birth.
    5. Nevertheless, it is remarkable that Irish-American involvement in The Troubles was not so much the stuff of interested recent immigrants as it was Third- and Fourth-Generation romantics who were coming to reject the White Bread suburban upbringing their parents and grandparents had drifted to conferring, and were searching for a more “primordial” anchoring tradition to give meaning and context to their lives.
    6. The fact that the investigator apparently had no knowledge of such significant differentials and realities and did not have as a reflex to trot them out in the event of such an inquiry as Ross’s is symptomatic of the U.S.’s general weakness in the arena of human intelligence gathering. If these are the people protecting our national secrets and ensuring our maneuverability around ennemies and “allies,” that bodes incredibly ill for the direction of our country.

Of course I've only been holding up Lee Kuan Yew as a paragon that we should all aspire to since like uh forever.

Helps if you teach them to worship one of the other group as a God…

As I say in a previous post, the U.S.’s fundamental incompetence in the domain of human intelligence is probably to blame for the failure to recognize and head off the aiding and abetting of the I.R.A..

To understand how and why a significant number of them could reject their All-American flag-saluting upbringings and get “back into it” would have required a bird’s-eye level of self criticism about American lore and American culture not particularly widespread in American culture and definitely not in Washington, D.C..

Despite longstanding NI Protestant fears that “Home Rule is Rome Rule” the religious aspect of the Troubles always remained strictly confessional. There was plenty of opportunity to enlist the American Catholic hierarchy to curb moral support and stymie the material outflow, if anyone had cared to think of it.

American Catholics were largely responsible for enforcement of the Hays Code, which during Hollywood's golden era kept movies clean and viewable by all US audiences.

While Hollywood types dismiss it as scourge and there a few oddities, like twin beds for married couples. That said, the vast majority of the rules lend themselves to high quality, universal entertainment. The Hays Code prevented sensationalism and dark story lines for their own sake.

And it shows in the movies of that era, the best of which are generally sexy, funny, and have complex story lines without devolving into cheap outs (nude shots in romantic scenes) that are so common today.

In other words the American Catholic hierachy had been definitely involved in similiar activities already. It's probable by the time the IRA came about, actually enlisting their help was completely off limits by the thinking of the era. There's also a distinct possibility that it might have not worked, as there was decay of quality of the clergy set in motion by latest 1930 that we're still struggling with.

  63. I remember when baby boomer Bill Clinton put that baby boomer Dennis Ross in some position of power. Dennis Ross was an agent for Jewish interests and he still is. Dennis Ross puts the interests of Jews and Israel ahead of the interests of the United States as a whole. Dennis Ross is a perfect example of the type of rat who infests the WASP / Jew ruling class in the American Empire.

Israel is a strategic liability for the American Empire. George W Bush and the Neo-Conservatives dragged the American Empire’s military into the Iraq War debacle. Once again, George W Bush and the Neo-Conservatives are perfect examples of the failures of the WASP / Jew ruling class.

The patriots in the United States must ask two simple questions: 1) Who are we as a nation? and 2) What are we fighting for? The answer to 1) is that the United States is a British Protestant settler nation that is now a European Christian nation. The answer to 2) is that we must only fight overseas for strict national interests narrowly defined. The Iraq War was fought to advance the foreign policy interests of Israel; the Neo-Conservative Jews who persuaded George W Bush to start that war should never be listened to again on anything.

Similarly, the leaders of J Street, the Meretz Party, and Ha'aretz newspaper are Jewish, and are hardly neocons.

Of course I've only been holding up Lee Kuan Yew as a paragon that we should all aspire to since like uh forever.

No, the Chinese only think its perfectly fine to let ourselves get pogrommed every few decades or so years by 85 IQ Malaysians. Chinese women purchased rape-resistant underwear, hundreds were murdered and raped, and the sum effect was to give their earned property to the looters.

    Very manly.

"As a people, we are pathetic and cowardly."

It's difficult when you're a wealthy minority in a country, are you going to go all-out and maybe lose the lot? But Mao's China caned India when they had a frontier scrap in 1961, and I think more recently too in the same area. A more equal contest, and Chinese were far from pathetic.

What Thomas Sowell calls "market-dominant minorities" are always vulnerable when rulers need to deflect popular anger elsewhere. I remember the Indonesia riots/rapes, which the BBC had a real problem about reporting as "racist", because they generally like to reserve that word for white people.

  72. You give examples of the Chinese being victims due to their status as market dominant minorities in various countries in Southeast Asia. This is nothing like allowing your own homeland to be hijacked by foreigners, where presumably you should be the prevailing and predominant majority.

Some Chinese women may have been raped by looters in the ensuing mayhem in places like Indonesia back in the day, but white American and European men will literally welcome foreigners such as Muslims and blacks into their own countries to rape their women, which I argue is an entirely new level of sad.

Is there a presumption of dual loyalty if the question is asked of a goy? It might seem like an odd question, a nonsequitur, but no, it certainly carries no presumption of dual loyalty; a loyal American says “of course I’d choose America over Israel, are you high?” but he doesn’t feel offended at any supposed presumption of dual loyalty.

No, that offense is reserved for people with a history and consciousness of dual or questionable loyalty. A quick review of spies and treachery in recent American history, with an eye toward surnames and demographics in mind, will confirm that (nuclear secrets are an especially juicy focus).

  75. So is there any validity to Ross’s point that being Jewish was considered a conflict of interest for working the Israel desk but being Irish or Italian didn’t exclude you from working on Ireland and Italy?

I don’t know about the Irish or Italians, but yes, I’ve read a thing or two about institutional practices of keeping Jews out of certain security apparatus areas (or subjecting them to extra scrutiny) because of concerns they’d leak stuff to Israel. That this lasted longer than you (or I, anyway) might think. (This stuff was long gone by the nineties, I’d guess, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it there were still some vestiges of it in the eighties)

Is this all just Jewish kvetching or does he have a point?

In a thousand years there will still be Jews. How powerful or numerous they will be is an open question but they will certainly still exist.

Various nations of white people? Good question. I hope to hell we do.

This is why the JQ, in some forms, can be seen as massive distraction. The Jews have God’s protection, as long as they uphold the covenant. That wasn’t the bargain with the rest of us.

Discussing the JQ is helpful in understanding that many in positions of power today don’t have a vested interest in the the people whom they have power over, but that’s where it ends.

What nonsense is this? The Jews' covenant was replaced by Jesus, whom they rejected.

Hebrews 8:13 'By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear'

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 'You suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jews who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last'

John 8:39-47 '“If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did. As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. You are doing the works of your own father.”
“We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.”
'Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”

More than the protection of a God, they have protection against outmarriage and many methods of remaining Jewish. Sure there is some boiling off but the core that remain are more Jewish as a result. The Reform are boiling off but the other strands remain. As long as the TFR less the boil off rate in general over time is above replacement there will always be Jews.

This was the key insight of The Ashkenazi Revolution brought to me by Jewamongyou who used to post here IIRC. Judaism is a temporal empire, a people who play the long game (though without the limits to chutzpah which would likely help them IMO). They are still a religion and have the constraints of a pre-scientific religion's frameworks to optimize what they do. This is from the outside looking in of course.

A spatial empire like the Roman Empire is practically bound to fail in time. That doesn't stop Zuckerberg having a hardon for Rome, and the modern DNA insight that Jews are half Italian would likely act as metaphorical Spanish Fly to Emperor Zuck.

Gates suggests that whatever one calls the conflict, it was "certainly not" a "low intensity conflict".[198]

The problem is that the US–an Anglo-German country that graciously opened its doors to some minority populations–has always had to contend with 5th column activists like you. For every American that advocates in favor of the core citizenry, there’s a subversive like you who speaks up with a “that’s not who we are” message about how America is multicultural. The message resonates with mid-western-nice-type white Americans, and in that atmosphere, it’s much easier to take advantage by asserting a minority status.

And that is what you’d like to happen with Asian-Americans, isn’t it? –to keep asserting their special immigration status, based in income but also in the US history of having minority populations, until they replace Jews in elite positions in the US.

LKY was right to say that ethnicities act in their own favor in multi-ethnic states. In this case, you’re advocating for whites to turn on the smartest subset of their population and for them to keep importing your own ethnicity to work in high-paying, influential jobs. Nationalistic pragmatism, my ass.

If you want Americans to start standing up for their fundamental right to self-determination, you need to stop pretending that the basis of society is money and acknowledge that the US is based on shared culture that is basically white and not amenable to a large influx of Chinese.

No. I've pointed out that I support restricting legal immigration. Given that East Asians tend to skew heavily towards quantitative STEM fields, I highly doubt that they'll be replacing Jewish predominance in the arenas of business and politics or the likes.

No, I've been saying that I support restricting legal immigration. I also stated that I support reducing the H-1B visa. My only point has been that to the extent that we do allow immigrants in legally, it should based primarily on skills. This seems to me to be a sensible immigration policy that many other countries embrace.

If you want Americans to start standing up for their fundamental right to self-determination, you need to stop pretending that the basis of society is money and acknowledge that the US is based on shared culture that is basically white and not amenable to a large influx of Chinese.

I've merely pointed out that it's unrealistic to expect America to be as white as Europe, given its very different history. 5 million Chinese Americans is less than 2% of the total American population and when compared with the 1380 million Chinese living in the mainland, I would argue it's a pretty insignificant amount. Also Chinese tend to be disproportionately concentrated in places like California and New York so this tends to minimize the adverse cultural impact that you alluded to, given that many white Americans in other parts of the country may not live in communities with as high a concentration of Asians.

Now I don't support kicking out anyone who's here legally. It's not my fault that a handful of Chinese in this country are able to exert a disproportionate academic and economic influence. I've tried to make this more palatable to my fellow white Americans by pointing out that at least Chinese Americans tend to be disproportionately skewed towards value creation.

    ------

Otherwise this "fringe website" cited by Ms. Plame sounds interesting....
    Might be worth checking out.

The risk is that diplomats with long experience in a specific country will “go native,” and begin representing that country’s interests back against the United States. They’ll constantly explain how American interests are unrealistic and need to be adjusted in light of the interests of the country in which they serve. Of course I've only been holding up Lee Kuan Yew as a paragon that we should all aspire to since like uh forever.

Americans of oriental descent seem quite receptive to Hebrew ideas.

Ross's argument that it is anti-Semitic even to ponder the possibility of a conflict of interest in appointing a Jew to a US government position dealing with the Jewish ethno-state is of course ludicrous. He knows it and we know it, and the assertion of this position is simply a demonstration of power.

But imagine if Obama had appointed his buddy Rashid Khalidi as America's Middle East Envoy or to head up the Near Eastern desk at State!

The Jews would have screamed bloody murder!

Keith Ellison would have been a good pick.

    Which White People Support Trump?

Pundits often talk about the “white vote,” but it’s more complicated than that. Voters who say they have German or Italian heritage lean most heavily to Trump and the GOP, a poll run for BuzzFeed News reveals.

And that is what you’d like to happen with Asian-Americans, isn’t it? –to keep asserting their special immigration status, based in income but also in the US history of having minority populations, until they replace Jews in elite positions in the US.

No. I’ve pointed out that I support restricting legal immigration. Given that East Asians tend to skew heavily towards quantitative STEM fields, I highly doubt that they’ll be replacing Jewish predominance in the arenas of business and politics or the likes.

LKY was right to say that ethnicities act in their own favor in multi-ethnic states. No, I’ve been saying that I support restricting legal immigration.

I’ve merely pointed out that it’s unrealistic to expect America to be as white as Europe, given its very different history. 5 million Chinese Americans is less than 2% of the total American population and when compared with the 1380 million Chinese living in the mainland, I would argue it’s a pretty insignificant amount. Also Chinese tend to be disproportionately concentrated in places like California and New York so this tends to minimize the adverse cultural impact that you alluded to, given that many white Americans in other parts of the country may not live in communities with as high a concentration of Asians.

Now I don’t support kicking out anyone who’s here legally. It’s not my fault that a handful of Chinese in this country are able to exert a disproportionate academic and economic influence. I’ve tried to make this more palatable to my fellow white Americans by pointing out that at least Chinese Americans tend to be disproportionately skewed towards value creation.

Probably so, but there may not be anymore Reform Jews in 50 years. The more liberal sects of Judaism are dying out rapidly because they aren't having children and they don't really believe in the religion anymore. They've replaced the God of Abraham with virulent SJWism and hand-wringing about the Holocaust. It's an extremely toxic and unsustainable belief system.

That’s what Janissaries are for. They will pick up the kids moving away from the more conservative variants.

Once you understand that Jews believe it's always late 1930s Germany on the eve of kristallnacht, and that all non-Jews are a hair's breadth from rounding them up, then you understand everything they do.

    It's their primary motivator.

That is the secondary motivator. The primary motivator is their tribal/racial competitiveness and contempt for assimilation. They then need a certain degree of animosity between them and host communities in order to enforce segregation.

Yes. This clicked into place for me when I read the Old Testament for the first time as an adult. Judaism needs enemies to retain a constant "under siege" mindset and reinforce separation and in-group/out-group boundaries.

It's like a cell membrane. Without enemies they would dissolve. Creating a constant stream of enemies (real and imagined) is baked into their operating system.

Is there a presumption of dual loyalty if the question is asked of a goy? It might seem like an odd question, a nonsequitur, but no, it certainly carries no presumption of dual loyalty; a loyal American says "of course I'd choose America over Israel, are you high?" but he doesn't feel offended at any supposed presumption of dual loyalty.

No, that offense is reserved for people with a history and consciousness of dual or questionable loyalty. A quick review of spies and treachery in recent American history, with an eye toward surnames and demographics in mind, will confirm that (nuclear secrets are an especially juicy focus).

    It betrays a guilty conscience.

That maybe how you perceive it.

This American perceives it as Daniel Chieh would like to join America, the proposition nation, is grateful to be here and would join us in it's long term protection, even if occasionally he rightly finds Americans like me to be dorks.

Yan Shen, if allowed power, would assume what my ancestors built was his due in life and plunder it as he sees fit, and if it all goes to hell, well, his kids can relearn Chinese assuming they ever lost the ability to speak in the first place.

Please be careful with this attitude. There is a whole young generation, who sees YouTube comments similar to this and thinks "Hmm...." In the whole of human history, a proposition citizenship is completely abnormal, with nationality/ethnicity normal, particularly in a place like China.

It maybe in my old age that I am the dinosaur for holding onto any idea of proposition nation or citizenship. And unlike yourself, I don't have some other nation to which to run. This is it. Objecting to the tides of history may not be in the cards.

Almost all CIA human operations in the Middle East are actually performed via liaison with countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan. Do they fall under suspicion within CIA?

No, the Chinese only think its perfectly fine to let ourselves get pogrommed every few decades or so years by 85 IQ Malaysians. Chinese women purchased rape-resistant underwear, hundreds were murdered and raped, and the sum effect was to give their earned property to the looters.

    Very manly.

As a people, we are pathetic and cowardly.

“As a people, we are pathetic and cowardly.”

It’s difficult when you’re a wealthy minority in a country, are you going to go all-out and maybe lose the lot? But Mao’s China caned India when they had a frontier scrap in 1961, and I think more recently too in the same area. A more equal contest, and Chinese were far from pathetic.

What Thomas Sowell calls “market-dominant minorities” are always vulnerable when rulers need to deflect popular anger elsewhere. I remember the Indonesia riots/rapes, which the BBC had a real problem about reporting as “racist”, because they generally like to reserve that word for white people.

Kissinger's relationship to Israel... was complicated. It was his observation that if the Israelis didn't have external enemies to fight, they'd be busy fighting each other. It was largely thanks to his miracle shuttle diplomacy in the 1970s that Israel's relationship with the greater region was permanently altered. Doing so required a lot of finesse, especially when it came to dealing with the individual Arab leaders and their sometimes disparate personalities and interests, such as Sadat and Assad. Interestingly enough, Golda Meir seems to be the one world leader capable of truly intimidating him. Almost like a Jewish mother would for her favorite son, in his own words.

Also interestingly enough, his boss, President Nixon (whose own relationship with Jews was... complex), was far more open to the idea of press-ganging the Israelis into an imposed peace in the Middle East involving the Soviet Union. In October of 1972 and February of 1973, he shot down Kissinger's proposals to wait until after the Israeli elections of fall of 1973. Had Watergate not occurred and Nixon retained full dominance in the relationship, we might have seen interesting changes to the timeline. Especially since the second Nixon administration was the last one dealing with a primarily Ashkenazim Labour government.

It was also Nixon's idea (unbeknownst to Kissinger, whom Nixon suspected of being too partial to the Israelis) to suspend arms sales to Israel in the summer of 1971, which was a successful gambit that led to Sadat expelling the Russians a year later. Then again, Operation Nickel Grass was Nixon's creature (his last creation, as it turned out), not Kissinger's, so to say that the American decision to back Israel was fully the work of the proto-neocons and the then Israel attached Democratic Party is a little bit of an oversimplication. Take it as you will. Fascinating history.

(Kissinger returned the favor in full, having connections to possibly opening a relationship with Cuba behind the pathologically anti-Castro Nixon's back.)

Um, yes? As commenters here have noted, rather a lot of Irish Americans have pretty strong views on Ireland, or did.

That said, it’s also true that we all bring baggage and biases to these conflicts. I don’t see how a Muslim or Christian expert would necessarily be any more trustworthy than a Jewish one on, say, the status of Jerusalem. Seems like a better solution is to mandate, unofficially, some sort of diversity in foreign-policy teams so that the biases balance off against one another.

Various nations of white people? Good question. I hope to hell we do.

This is why the JQ, in some forms, can be seen as massive distraction. The Jews have God's protection, as long as they uphold the covenant. That wasn't the bargain with the rest of us.

Discussing the JQ is helpful in understanding that many in positions of power today don't have a vested interest in the the people whom they have power over, but that's where it ends.

The Jews have God’s protection, as long as they uphold the covenant

What nonsense is this? The Jews’ covenant was replaced by Jesus, whom they rejected.

Hebrews 8:13 ‘By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear’

1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 ‘You suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jews who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last’

John 8:39-47 ‘“If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did. As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. You are doing the works of your own father.”
“We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.”
‘Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God.

Yeah and I can still meet Jews. No ancient Egyptians, Babylons, Hittites or even Romans. Not sure why God would renege completely (or at all) on the old covenant.

It is considerably easier to enter and stay in the new covenant, because there is forgiveness and Savior. Also that's not a comment on the new Israel or "faithful remnant" business. I'm just saying that objectively, I have a lot of evidence that the old covenant exists simultaneously with new.

There was plenty of opportunity to enlist the American Catholic hierarchy to curb moral support and stymie the material outflow, if anyone had cared to think of it.

American Catholics were largely responsible for enforcement of the Hays Code, which during Hollywood’s golden era kept movies clean and viewable by all US audiences.

It’s probable by the time the IRA came about, actually enlisting their help was completely off limits by the thinking of the era. There’s also a distinct possibility that it might have not worked, as there was decay of quality of the clergy set in motion by latest 1930 that we’re still struggling with.

To be clear, I am not anti-Catholic. Actually I am a Catholic, and sort-of practicing. Nor do I place any blame on the American hierarchy for not mediating a conflict that crossed outside of their jurisdiction. Furthermore, they stayed out of politics in the U.S. for good reason. Indeed, the central role of Joseph Breen and the National Legion of Decency in writing the Hays Code was brokered by none other than namesake Will Hays, a Presbyterian elder and a conservative Republican (at a time when Catholics voted largely Democrat, NDLR), and the Catholic origins of the code were deliberately not well-publicized. Protestants wanted Catholicism out of politics and it would have taken a similar figure, a well-placed devout conservative Protestant, to approach the churchmen to enlist their support against the IRA. The simple fact is not enough Protestant Americans cared that much.

I remember the Indonesia riots/rapes, which the BBC had a real problem about reporting as "racist", because they generally like to reserve that word for white people.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_1998_riots_of_Indonesia

Yeah you’re right. This is also what I pointed out in my response to him. But don’t worry. He already knows all of this. He’s not that dumb. He just likes to contradict me on basically anything I say.

Here’s what’s going on. Most people who comment on iSteve are white. There are a minority of non-white commenters. Our boy Daniel sees another Chinese American commenter and thinks to himself, well uh obviously I need to signal to everyone else here that I’m different. I’m not just another East Asian American toeing the racial party line. I’m avant garde! I’m hip!

So let me signal all of this by mindlessly disagreeing with anything Yan Shen says. Sometimes I’ll merely advocate for the same things he advocates for, but I’ll change the phrasing slightly and act like I’m worked up and uh yeah!

Didn't Kissinger halt the Iraeli advance in 1973 to try and stop a nuclear war?
From what I've read of him, he wasn't as much of a fanatical Zionist as the neocons

Kissinger’s relationship to Israel… was complicated. It was his observation that if the Israelis didn’t have external enemies to fight, they’d be busy fighting each other. It was largely thanks to his miracle shuttle diplomacy in the 1970s that Israel’s relationship with the greater region was permanently altered.

Also interestingly enough, his boss, President Nixon (whose own relationship with Jews was… complex), was far more open to the idea of press-ganging the Israelis into an imposed peace in the Middle East involving the Soviet Union. In October of 1972 and February of 1973, he shot down Kissinger’s proposals to wait until after the Israeli elections of fall of 1973. Had Watergate not occurred and Nixon retained full dominance in the relationship, we might have seen interesting changes to the timeline. Especially since the second Nixon administration was the last one dealing with a primarily Ashkenazim Labour government.

It was also Nixon’s idea (unbeknownst to Kissinger, whom Nixon suspected of being too partial to the Israelis) to suspend arms sales to Israel in the summer of 1971, which was a successful gambit that led to Sadat expelling the Russians a year later. Then again, Operation Nickel Grass was Nixon’s creature (his last creation, as it turned out), not Kissinger’s, so to say that the American decision to back Israel was fully the work of the proto-neocons and the then Israel attached Democratic Party is a little bit of an oversimplication. Take it as you will. Fascinating history.

(Kissinger returned the favor in full, having connections to possibly opening a relationship with Cuba behind the pathologically anti-Castro Nixon’s back.)

That maybe how you perceive it.

This American perceives it as Daniel Chieh would like to join America, the proposition nation, is grateful to be here and would join us in it’s long term protection, even if occasionally he rightly finds Americans like me to be dorks.

Yan Shen, if allowed power, would assume what my ancestors built was his due in life and plunder it as he sees fit, and if it all goes to hell, well, his kids can relearn Chinese assuming they ever lost the ability to speak in the first place.

But I’m sure you and the real crazies can start your 4th Reich of deporting all non-white citizens from America.

Please be careful with this attitude. There is a whole young generation, who sees YouTube comments similar to this and thinks “Hmm….” In the whole of human history, a proposition citizenship is completely abnormal, with nationality/ethnicity normal, particularly in a place like China.

It maybe in my old age that I am the dinosaur for holding onto any idea of proposition nation or citizenship. And unlike yourself, I don’t have some other nation to which to run. This is it. Objecting to the tides of history may not be in the cards.

  118. The career ambitions of individual US Jews like Ross are incompatible with a future for Israel as a Jewish state. It is wrong to think Ross has done anything for the continuation of a Jewish state.

In personal ambition and drive Jews greatly exceed the white gentile average even more than in IQ. As was said of Richard Hollbrooke:-

A subtle mind was harnessed to something not so subtle — a bucking stallion of ego, a force quite capable of trampling over anything that stood between Holbrooke and his ambitions. He did not simply want to understand history, he wanted to gallop across its stage.

Ross is a Zionist because it is good for his career, and for no other reason. He cannot help Israel because that would require supporting what every authentic Zionist dreams of : getting the Arabs out of the West Bank. But that would be bad for his nice living in a country other than Israel.

Of course I've only been holding up Lee Kuan Yew as a paragon that we should all aspire to since like uh forever.

Which makes it particularly fitting that bien-pensant mediocrities spit on his grave today.

    https://newrepublic.com/article/121921/perry-andersons-american-foreign-policy-and-its-thinkers

    In other news:

    http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/press_box/2010/12/nixons_jewish_problem.html

Apparently, we are supposed to find it “extremely offensive” that Nixon was unwilling to kill tens of millions of people in a nuclear holocaust because his critics demanded that American foreign policy toward Russia be subordinated to how nice it was for Jews. Not anti-Semitism, but “worse” than anti-Semitism.

Needless to say, this solicitous attitude toward human freedom didn’t exactly extend to other people in the USSR, for whom life by and large still sucked-and most certainly not to Asians. The sheer naiveté a lot of lefties in the day regarding North Korea, Maoist China, the Khmer Rouge, the PKI, et all, is simply stunning.

So is their any validity to Ross's point that being Jewish was considered a conflict of interest for working the Israel desk but being Irish or Italian didn't exclude you from working on Ireland and Italy?

Or that the State Dept. Middle East division was dominated by guys with either (Christian) missionary or oil industry backgrounds that gave them a natural pro-Arab slant?

Is this all just Jewish kvetching or does he have a point?

They used to have this problem even worse in the UK. You would have British guys who would fall in love (sometime literally) with the dashing Arabs on horseback (see Lawrence of Arabia) and "go native" - start wearing Arab robes and keffiyahs and daggers and such.

    http://i3.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article8519325.ece/ALTERNATES/s810/Lawrence-Thomas-Edward.jpg

Arabs were sort of a living version of the knights on horseback of British legend. While Jews were so insufferably boring - the British were accused of being a "nation of shopkeepers" and Jews reminded them of their own worst qualities. So naturally they would favor the romantic Arabs.

Yes. Even in the 1970s, the State Department was a fierce defender of the two-state plan regarding Israel, and (along with the Pentagon bureaucracy) opposed Nickel Grass.

Yeah, it's your old line about the hypocrisy of (some) Jews supporting affirmative action — discrimination against whites — but complaining about discrimination against Jews. What you keep overlooking is that Jews consider themselves white. So there's no hypocrisy; when they advocate affirmative action they accept that it discriminates against their children. The second part — opposing explicitly anti-Jewish hiring — simply means they aren't signing up to be discriminated against twice. What's so objectionable about that?

As for those of us who don't support affirmative action, if we support "meritocracy" that's not a code word for "pro-Jewish". I, for example, would like to see college admissions done mechanically, looking at some combination of SAT and achievement tests. Do you have anything against that?

Various nations of white people? Good question. I hope to hell we do.

This is why the JQ, in some forms, can be seen as massive distraction. The Jews have God's protection, as long as they uphold the covenant. That wasn't the bargain with the rest of us.

Discussing the JQ is helpful in understanding that many in positions of power today don't have a vested interest in the the people whom they have power over, but that's where it ends.

This is why the JQ, in some forms, can be seen as massive distraction. The Jews have God’s protection, as long as they uphold the covenant. That wasn’t the bargain with the rest of us.

They are still a religion and have the constraints of a pre-scientific religion’s frameworks to optimize what they do. This is from the outside looking in of course.

A spatial empire like the Roman Empire is practically bound to fail in time. That doesn’t stop Zuckerberg having a hardon for Rome, and the modern DNA insight that Jews are half Italian would likely act as metaphorical Spanish Fly to Emperor Zuck.

Agreed on everything you wrote regarding facts of Jewish ethnicity.

That said, plenty of cultures have mimicked Jewish culture and... I can't meet them on the street.

Add to that the painfully comical social ineptness, the general choice of mercantile/money as an occupation, and the general unwillingness to even train in self defense these are a people I should be reading about in a history book. They are the last people I might expect to meet and yet there they are.

In fact, one of the most efficient and effective nations on the planet attempted to kill them factory style. Not only was it an abject failure, less than 4 generations later they are the most suicidal nation in Europe, in a whole pantheon of suicidal nations. And surrounded by "We killed Jews" monuments.

I suspect that it all will backfire but for right now, the most logical option I can offer up is that the Jews are indeed under supernatural protection.

    This was the key insight

What was the insight and what was it key to?

It occurred to me that the longevity of Judaism can be explained best using the model of natural evolution and competition applied to religion/belief systems/ethnicity. Evolution cares only about survival and perpetuation of a species.

Thousands of years ago Judaism was one of many religions competing for followers in the Levant. The Old Testament makes a big deal about how Jews were always losing members to Baal and other religions. It was an existential threat.

Judaism evolved a set of remarkably powerful "antibodies" to defend against competing belief systems and groups. Together these antibodies preserve and perpetuate the integrity of the group. These antibodies include beliefs and practices like:

    - Perpetual siege mentality. Central to the Jewish mindset is a belief they are always under siege. There are enemies around every corner and under every bed. Perpetual threat keeps ppl in line and enforces in-group/out-group boundaries.

    - Superiority. Jews are the "chosen." They are destined to rule the world and protected by G-d. The "Chosen" should not mix with the un-"Chosen."

    - Huge focus on in-group/out-group identification through behavioral markers and rituals. There's a reason Judaism has so many rules as described in the Book of Deuteronomy. Complying with these rules reinforces in-group cohesion and out-group identification. (In college I had a Jewish roommate who would tsk, shake his head at me and say "Goy" when I ate a hamburger accompanied with a glass of milk.)

    - Judaism follows the maternal line. This ensured that children of male Jews marrying out (a group far larger than female Jews marrying out) were never included in the in-group with associated dilution.

There's more but you get the idea.

Taken together, these antibodies are responsible for Jews outcompeting other belief systems, preserving their identity persisting for thousands of years. They are like a hardy plant or animal species with an effective competitive strategy. It's the reason the Romans are gone but the Jews are still here. And the reason the Jews will still be here 1,000 years from now. The USA? We're going the way of the Roman Empire.

Not totally off-topic, here's a book that will virtually write himself: "Memories of Anti-Semitic Country Clubs", about the Golfocaust. If you choose to write it as a fake memoir, instead of a non-fiction scholarly book, it would make it to the NY times Top Ten.
The novel would cover great-uncle Irving"s struggle to shatter the barriers excluding him from playing golf with anti-semitic Wasp players, the Haven Mohanans of their times. From the roaring 20's to the mid-sixties. With a woke Millenial Jew as the narrator and great-nephew. His repeated failures to be accepted or even considered for membership, even after volunteering for the Army during WWII and liberating a Nazi concentration camp, which reminded him of a country club in reverse, where you can't get out if you're Jewish.
Woody Allen could shoot the movie ironically, in his own subdued style. Uncle Irving would die of a heart attack on a golf course, after finally gaining admittance to a posh country club in 1965, on his very first game, after 4 decades fighting it out with the racist Wasp establishment and having an affair with a married Shiksa heiress all those years.

You just gave away this $200 million idea for free! Very goyische of you.

Almost all CIA human operations in the Middle East are actually performed via liaison with countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan. Do they fall under suspicion within CIA?

Would explain some things. Some have accused Brennan, I believe Michael Scheuer has posed the question with his time in Saudi. I have seen it said he has a Sunni wife. That chap called Ayatollah Mike who was appointed to head up the anti Iran activities is apparently a Sunni convert.

This is why the JQ, in some forms, can be seen as massive distraction. The Jews have God’s protection, as long as they uphold the covenant. That wasn’t the bargain with the rest of us.

Agreed on everything you wrote regarding facts of Jewish ethnicity.

That said, plenty of cultures have mimicked Jewish culture and… I can’t meet them on the street.

And surrounded by “We killed Jews” monuments.

I suspect that it all will backfire but for right now, the most logical option I can offer up is that the Jews are indeed under supernatural protection.

Yeah you're right. This is also what I pointed out in my response to him. But don't worry. He already knows all of this. He's not that dumb. He just likes to contradict me on basically anything I say.

Here's what's going on. Most people who comment on iSteve are white. There are a minority of non-white commenters. Our boy Daniel sees another Chinese American commenter and thinks to himself, well uh obviously I need to signal to everyone else here that I'm different. I'm not just another East Asian American toeing the racial party line. I'm avant garde! I'm hip!

So let me signal all of this by mindlessly disagreeing with anything Yan Shen says. Sometimes I'll merely advocate for the same things he advocates for, but I'll change the phrasing slightly and act like I'm worked up and uh yeah!

Meanwhile when I say that America will probably never go back to being 90% white the way it was in 1965 and maybe we should reconcile ourselves with that fact, I'm being uh totally crazy and unrealistic.

I'll concede I'm late to the debate.

Some of the responses to Yan Shen's remarks have seemed pretty snippy. Perhaps the confidence of his tone put some off seeming smug ? Who knows. Some of his remarks I've found thoughtful and interesting.

Regarding the idea of "ethnically cleansing" by deporting or otherwise encouraging emigration of American citizens of Asian heritage? Whatever the the merits of this notion, it's very difficult to imagine if so many get all weepy and bleedy heart and have difficulty of saying "No." to just a few thousand dreamers who aren't even citizens.

Probably not germane to this particular thread, but I'd really like to get the view of Asian Americans in the community about some things I've been thinking about the future of their peoples in a churning multi-ethnic "meritocracy."

After barely one generation since 1965, the patterns are quite clear if one has the stomach to look honestly. East Asian heritage Americans are outperforming European heritage Americans. It's not just that they're getting the better jobs and higher incomes, they're increasingly moving into and dominating some of the best real estate (the good school districts) and building wealth and property portfolios that might give subsequent generations a head start and cementing their position in the meritocracy establishment while buffering them from downward mobility. I can't point to any specific statistics, but observations from my own situation seem to point to a clear trend of not just stagnation among White Americans but actual significant downward mobility in the most recent generations. If these trends continue, it isn't hard to imagine Asians becoming a market dominant minority unlike anything ever observed before among European immigrants. What will this mean? Will Whites join the Blacks in demanding tipping the scales to guarantee proportionate representation of their ethnicity among the powerful elite? Can we expect an ossified crypto-ethnic caste system to eventually emerge like the one perhaps explained by the invasion of the indo-Aryans into the subcontinent? Will Asian-heritage Americans perhaps eventually be lured back to the lands of their roots by opportunities of more dynamic economies & societies or a collapse of the Western ones that succumb enervated civilizations or perhaps to financial or economic crisis from living too long beyond their means from making too many unrealistic expectations & promises? Could they eventually interbreed & blend into a barely distinguishable melange of Eurasians like the (in)famous hybrid Euro-(Afro)-Amerindio La Raza in Latin America? Could their Asian & Eurasian sons be frustrated by the interracial intrasexual competition and return to Asia to find a mate in a league that is less competitive? Particularly fascinating are the Tiger-Mother / Lion-Father (Jewish / Hebrew) pairings that seem improbably common... What will become of their hybrid offspring? Interesting case studies... Mark Zuckerberg & Priscilla Chan, Amy "the Tiger Mother" Chua & Jed Rubenfeld's daughters, etc as well as the very many lesser known pairs with whom I'm acquainted. Hopefully it'll turn out better than Emma "the Mattress Girl" Sulkowicz or Elliot "the UCSB Incel Killer" Rodger...

In my current city it's impossible to be blind to the despair of the Asian guys who not only have to contend with a marriageable age male-female ratio of 130 / 100, when so many of their few potential targets are getting scooped up by the taller more masculine white and black guys. It's really quite sad & depressing.... They rarely complain openly, but if I were an Asian guy in this lousy situation I'd be raging. It's not hard to imagine what was going on in Elliot Rodger's mind...

The Jews have God’s protection, as long as they uphold the covenant

What nonsense is this?

What nonsense is this? The Jews’ covenant was replaced by Jesus, whom they rejected.

Yeah and I can still meet Jews. No ancient Egyptians, Babylons, Hittites or even Romans. Not sure why God would renege completely (or at all) on the old covenant.

It is considerably easier to enter and stay in the new covenant, because there is forgiveness and Savior. Also that’s not a comment on the new Israel or “faithful remnant” business. I’m just saying that objectively, I have a lot of evidence that the old covenant exists simultaneously with new.

Nothing you offer here indicates that Kissinger’s relationship to Israel was “complicated.”

That is the secondary motivator. The primary motivator is their tribal/racial competitiveness and contempt for assimilation. They then need a certain degree of animosity between them and host communities in order to enforce segregation.

They then need a certain degree of animosity between them and host communities in order to enforce segregation.

Yes. This clicked into place for me when I read the Old Testament for the first time as an adult. Judaism needs enemies to retain a constant “under siege” mindset and reinforce separation and in-group/out-group boundaries.

It’s like a cell membrane. Without enemies they would dissolve. Creating a constant stream of enemies (real and imagined) is baked into their operating system.

  149. For an example of dual loyalties that does not involve the Middle East, consider Jimmy Carter’s National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski. He armed the Afghan mujahideen six months before the Soviet invasion, with the purpose of pulling the USSR into an unwinnable war.

Did he later regret having armed and organised Islamic terrorists, creating widespread problems that continue to the present day? No, because he considered the defeat of the USSR to be far more important – see a 1998 interview at https://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/BRZ110A.html

Did he lack regret because the country of his birth, Poland, benefitted immensely from the collapse of the USSR, but is unaffected by Islamic terrorism? It is hard to avoid the conclusion that Mr Brzezinski’s decisions were influenced by his dual loyalty.

Do American Jews possess an ability that Mr Brzezinski lacked, that allows them to feel an affinity to their kin abroad, while serving only the interests of the United States if they happen to work at the State Department? Apart from anything else, this would require a superhuman level of self-control.

A spatial empire like the Roman Empire is practically bound to fail in time. That doesn't stop Zuckerberg having a hardon for Rome, and the modern DNA insight that Jews are half Italian would likely act as metaphorical Spanish Fly to Emperor Zuck.

Judaism evolved a set of remarkably powerful “antibodies” to defend against competing belief systems and groups.

Jews are the “chosen.” They are destined to rule the world and protected by G-d. The “Chosen” should not mix with the un-”Chosen.”

    - Huge focus on in-group/out-group identification through behavioral markers and rituals. There’s a reason Judaism has so many rules as described in the Book of Deuteronomy. Complying with these rules reinforces in-group cohesion and out-group identification. (In college I had a Jewish roommate who would tsk, shake his head at me and say “Goy” when I ate a hamburger accompanied with a glass of milk.)

    - Judaism follows the maternal line. This ensured that children of male Jews marrying out (a group far larger than female Jews marrying out) were never included in the in-group with associated dilution.

There’s more but you get the idea.

Taken together, these antibodies are responsible for Jews outcompeting other belief systems, preserving their identity persisting for thousands of years. They are like a hardy plant or animal species with an effective competitive strategy. It’s the reason the Romans are gone but the Jews are still here. And the reason the Jews will still be here 1,000 years from now. The USA? We’re going the way of the Roman Empire.

I have no idea where they got this false belief from? It bears no resemblance to reality!

There have been times and places where the Jews have not been besieged but these have always proven to be temporary. Arguably the US is the exception to the rule but that remains to be seen over the long run. The comfortable position of American Jews in American society is not that different from the position of German Jews in German society before 1933, but things went south for the German Jews very quickly.

Anti-semites love to point out that the Jews always end up getting expelled. This is either proof of their despicable and cursed nature or proof that other humans are intolerant and will always expel the "other".

Steve Sailer basically got it right. All in all, within the Nixon Administration, the State Department was pro-Arab (but certainly not at the levels of the current European left), Kissinger pro-Israeli (but certainly not at the levels of the Democrats of the day, let alone the eventual neocons), Nixon himself somewhere in between. Kissinger's main focus in the region was expelling the Soviets, whereas Nixon began to gravitate toward the idea of the USSR and the US imposing a peace plan-leading to an interesting and possibly unconstitutional event on Kissinger's part at the height of Watergate.

I should have added more in my post. Keep in mind, the "low point" in the American Israeli relationship came in 1975 when Kissinger started heavily pressing the Israelis to make concessions under Ford, according to Rabin. Unlike under Nixon, Kissinger more or less was the sole figure controlling foreign policy at this point. So it wasn't that he wasn't unwilling to pressure the Israelis. 156. What does it say about the men of a country when they can’t even stand up for their fundamental right to self determination as a people? Or is this less a country of real men and instead more a country of emasculated eunuchs?

A Chin asking Westerners about eunuchs is pretty rich. We have no history of castration, this side of the Roman Empire anyway. Chins? Oh very yes.

What’s next Kato? You gonna ask us if we’re a nation of foot-binders?

Simple chutzpah isn’t what made the Jews a success. Put down whatever photocopied book you bought next to a rickshaw in Macao.

    Steve Sailer says:

Catholics have the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team, Jews have Israel.

    I say:

    Absolutely spot on.

    Which White People Support Trump?

Pundits often talk about the “white vote,” but it’s more complicated than that. Voters who say they have German or Italian heritage lean most heavily to Trump and the GOP, a poll run for BuzzFeed News reveals.

For an example of dual loyalties that does not involve the Middle East, consider Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski. He armed the Afghan mujahideen six months before the Soviet invasion, with the purpose of pulling the USSR into an unwinnable war.

Did he later regret having armed and organised Islamic terrorists, creating widespread problems that continue to the present day? No, because he considered the defeat of the USSR to be far more important - see a 1998 interview at https://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/BRZ110A.html

Did he lack regret because the country of his birth, Poland, benefitted immensely from the collapse of the USSR, but is unaffected by Islamic terrorism? It is hard to avoid the conclusion that Mr Brzezinski's decisions were influenced by his dual loyalty.

Do American Jews possess an ability that Mr Brzezinski lacked, that allows them to feel an affinity to their kin abroad, while serving only the interests of the United States if they happen to work at the State Department? Apart from anything else, this would require a superhuman level of self-control.

Dual loyalty is such a problem — if only that Libyan-American troika of Clinton, Power, and Rice had been kept away from our foreign policy apparatus!

The main difference is that I’m a lot more realistic.

Yeah says the person who thinks Chinese Americans should pack it up and leave because a few fringe white nationalists on iSteve feel that way.

Meanwhile when I say that America will probably never go back to being 90% white the way it was in 1965 and maybe we should reconcile ourselves with that fact, I'm being uh totally crazy and unrealistic.

Keep digging yourself into a deeper and deeper hole please! Like they say about gambling, when you're in a bind never cut your losses and leave, always keep doubling down!

I’ll concede I’m late to the debate.

Some of the responses to Yan Shen’s remarks have seemed pretty snippy. Perhaps the confidence of his tone put some off seeming smug ? Who knows. Some of his remarks I’ve found thoughtful and interesting.

Regarding the idea of “ethnically cleansing” by deporting or otherwise encouraging emigration of American citizens of Asian heritage? Whatever the the merits of this notion, it’s very difficult to imagine if so many get all weepy and bleedy heart and have difficulty of saying “No.” to just a few thousand dreamers who aren’t even citizens.

Probably not germane to this particular thread, but I’d really like to get the view of Asian Americans in the community about some things I’ve been thinking about the future of their peoples in a churning multi-ethnic “meritocracy.”

After barely one generation since 1965, the patterns are quite clear if one has the stomach to look honestly. East Asian heritage Americans are outperforming European heritage Americans. It’s not just that they’re getting the better jobs and higher incomes, they’re increasingly moving into and dominating some of the best real estate (the good school districts) and building wealth and property portfolios that might give subsequent generations a head start and cementing their position in the meritocracy establishment while buffering them from downward mobility. I can’t point to any specific statistics, but observations from my own situation seem to point to a clear trend of not just stagnation among White Americans but actual significant downward mobility in the most recent generations. If these trends continue, it isn’t hard to imagine Asians becoming a market dominant minority unlike anything ever observed before among European immigrants. Particularly fascinating are the Tiger-Mother / Lion-Father (Jewish / Hebrew) pairings that seem improbably common… What will become of their hybrid offspring? Interesting case studies… Mark Zuckerberg & Priscilla Chan, Amy “the Tiger Mother” Chua & Jed Rubenfeld’s daughters, etc as well as the very many lesser known pairs with whom I’m acquainted. Hopefully it’ll turn out better than Emma “the Mattress Girl” Sulkowicz or Elliot “the UCSB Incel Killer” Rodger…

In my current city it’s impossible to be blind to the despair of the Asian guys who not only have to contend with a marriageable age male-female ratio of 130 / 100, when so many of their few potential targets are getting scooped up by the taller more masculine white and black guys. It’s really quite sad & depressing…. They rarely complain openly, but if I were an Asian guy in this lousy situation I’d be raging. China has in many ways been a hardcore "meritocracy." Its worthwhile to put it into quotes because what it measures are metrics and the merit is measured is only as valuable as the metrics reflect what is used, such that eight-legged essays may not be the best measure of governance and in more modern examples, Six Sigma metrics can be completely off the mark sometimes too. The underperformance of much of China historically implies that many of the metrics used might not have been correct, or perhaps the entire methodology is flawed.

At any rate, China itself has always defused frustration with any ossification by allowing some version of the Imperial Exams to permit upward mobility and I imagine that's a lot of the projection: why should anyone be upset, if at the end of the day, there's a way for everyone to compete fairly and the rules are obvious?

I'm sure it'll work, to a great extent, so as long as they stay united in awareness of their spoils - it won't matter who owns what, if you can simply use violence to get your way and have a friendly state that turns a blind eye for you. Once it becomes successfully profitable, it'll be able to continue to generate an increasing vigor for themselves.

Every once in a while an Asian guy will go postal, but 99.9% of them will suffer in silence in their mom's basement. The same thing that keeps them from getting a female also keeps them from acting out.

In Asia, there is a mail order bride business where lonely S. Korean farmers bring home brides from Vietnam and other poorer Asian countries but this doesn't seem to exist for E. Asian men in the US. What mail order bride business exists seems to be mostly for white guys. Maybe most single Asian men are happy enough with their video games and porn and really don't feel compelled to seek out flesh and blood company.

    Thank you for your reply.

While leaving the door open to the possibility (which you seem to suggest) of Kissinger's having mixed feelings, I would also observe that feelings of irritation, and even occasional acts of punishment, are not inconsistent with love and devotion. Witness a parent's relationship with their child.

Kissinger’s main focus in the region was expelling the Soviets, whereas Nixon began to gravitate toward the idea of the USSR and the US imposing a peace plan-leading to an interesting and possibly unconstitutional event on Kissinger’s part at the height of Watergate.

I should have added more in my post. Keep in mind, the “low point” in the American Israeli relationship came in 1975 when Kissinger started heavily pressing the Israelis to make concessions under Ford, according to Rabin. Unlike under Nixon, Kissinger more or less was the sole figure controlling foreign policy at this point. So it wasn’t that he wasn’t unwilling to pressure the Israelis. However, he always thought that doing so was, in the end, in their own interests. He was an Ashkenazim that probably felt more in common with the likes of Meir than he would with the Russian migrants and Sephardim that support Likud.

(Rabin and Sadat get shot down like dogs. How typical-in that region, only maniacs bent on more violence get political popularity.)

Did America's massive support for Israel leave them any choice?

***k the Jews, they don’t vote for us anyway.”

Jim Baker, 1991, around the time of the Madrid Conference. I’d imagine that a Watergate-less Nixon’s calculus would be similar in an alternate 1974 or 1975. Gerald Ford, bless his soul, tried his best, but was already something of a lame duck from the get-go.

Of course, this was one of the main factors in the foreign policy aspect of the overall revolt against Bush the Elder the succeeding year, but that’s another story.

In a thousand years there will still be Jews.

Probably so, but there may not be anymore Reform Jews in 50 years. The more liberal sects of Judaism are dying out rapidly because they aren't having children and they don't really believe in the religion anymore. They've replaced the God of Abraham with virulent SJWism and hand-wringing about the Holocaust. It's an extremely toxic and unsustainable belief system.

You’re right that the grandchildren (if any) of today’s Reform Jews won’t be Reform Jews but there will still be the children of Orthodox Jews who will bleed off into Reform Judaism on their way to intermarriage and atheism within a couple of generations. As long as there is a ongoing body of Orthodox Jews there will always be a small number of offspring who will want a lite version of their religion.

Perpetual siege mentality. Central to the Jewish mindset is a belief they are always under siege. There are enemies around every corner and under every bed.

This is either proof of their despicable and cursed nature or proof that other humans are intolerant and will always expel the “other”.

Jewish behavior which creates enemies is a feature of their operating system, not a bug.

Judaism needs enemies to sustain its tight in-group coherence and boundaries.

So the Jewish operating system creates them. I don't think it is a conscious decision. I think it's an evolved feature. They know not what they do. But enemy-creating behavior has been very successful in sustaining a distinct and entirely separate group of Fellow White People for thousands of years.

Every once in a while an Asian guy will go postal, but 99.9% of them will suffer in silence in their mom’s basement. The same thing that keeps them from getting a female also keeps them from acting out.

In Asia, there is a mail order bride business where lonely S. Korean farmers bring home brides from Vietnam and other poorer Asian countries but this doesn’t seem to exist for E. Asian men in the US. What mail order bride business exists seems to be mostly for white guys. Maybe most single Asian men are happy enough with their video games and porn and really don’t feel compelled to seek out flesh and blood company.

This has been true, not just for Jews, but for any group that failed to completely assimilate, religion-wise. There are two kinds of genetically-Jewish people in the Middle East - Jews who converted to Islam and Jews who remained Jews. Iranian propaganda outlets have retailed a bunch of rumors that the al Sauds are converted Jews from long ago. It wouldn't be surprising if they were. As a high-IQ people, once converted and assimilated, Jews are in prime position to become members of the mover and shaker class even in fairly insular communities. Ataturk was rumored to have descended from converted Jews. He remains a hero among a good number of Muslim Turks. There are undoubtedly a huge number of conversos in Latin America at the pinnacle of state power.

Hitler aside, who was in power for just over a decade, there have been basically no rulers who persecuted Jews simply on the basis of genetic heritage. It was always a religious issue - and the persecution extended to all heterodox faiths, whether Christian heresies like Catharism, Calvinism and other Protestant variants in Catholic lands or Catholicism in Protestant lands. Jewish paranoia re the preservation of the faith is understandable, but neither physical extermination nor expulsion is the norm and the pressure towards religious assimilation extends to everyone outside of the majority.

"Two Jewish-conspiracy posts back to back."

Alternatively, I published my Brooks post putting forward a hypothesis and then the New York Times publishes the Ross oped illustrating, to a comic extent, exactly what I had been talking in the Brooks post.

Yeah, it’s your old line about the hypocrisy of (some) Jews supporting affirmative action — discrimination against whites — but complaining about discrimination against Jews. What you keep overlooking is that Jews consider themselves white. So there’s no hypocrisy; when they advocate affirmative action they accept that it discriminates against their children. The second part — opposing explicitly anti-Jewish hiring — simply means they aren’t signing up to be discriminated against twice. What’s so objectionable about that?

As for those of us who don’t support affirmative action, if we support “meritocracy” that’s not a code word for “pro-Jewish”. I, for example, would like to see college admissions done mechanically, looking at some combination of SAT and achievement tests. Do you have anything against that?

This would bring us full circle to the admission system that prevailed at elite colleges before "too many" Jews started getting in in the 1920s. As I have mentioned before, Karabel shows in his book The Chosen that our entire "holistic" admission system with essays and recommendations and blah, blah, blah was erected purely as window dressing for discriminating against Jews. No one gave a damn about those things until the Jews started showing up in "excess" numbers.

Nowadays this system would result in all elite schools being majority Asian, so don't hold your breath. In NYC, the elite public admission by test high schools (Stuyvesant, Bronx Science) are 75%+ Asian even though the city overall is 13% Asian. More Asians than whites score at the top end of the math SATs despite whites being much more numerous - I'm too lazy to search for the stats .

That may be true, but it overlooks the point that was made recently I believe by another commenter here:

Jews tend to be represented in the upper range of whites.* So measures that disavantage the marginal white person -- who lives in a place like Ferguson, or who is "on the bubble" for an admissions place at Flagship State U. -- aren't really going to disadvantage Jews the way they disadvantage the marginal whites.

    * Same as Episcopalians and Unitarians, but Episcopalians and Unitarians are no longer overrepresented in the Media Megaphone, the Supreme Court, the Harvard faculty and other such key institutions; whereas Jews are.

I think that school desegregation is the purest and most easily understandable case where white elites can endorse anti-white discrimination, safe in the knowledge that it won't really affect them. A generation ago it was judges like Barefoot Sanders or Arthur Garrity who were likely to be in such roles.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barefoot_Sanders
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wendell_Arthur_Garrity_Jr.

Now, the loudest white voices arguing for school desegregation tend to be people like Jonathan Chait and Richard Kahlenberg, who live in white Chevy Chase and Bethesda. Today's elite is heavily Jewish, so they are the ones whose hypocrisy is visible. It's the burden of leadership.

In a nutshell, I argue that "they accept that [AA] discriminates against their children" is misleading because the upper end of whites know they won't really be affected by such discrimination, but loser redneck flyover working-class whites will.

Perpetual siege mentality. Central to the Jewish mindset is a belief they are always under siege. There are enemies around every corner and under every bed.

I have no idea where they got this false belief from? It bears no resemblance to reality!

Anti-semites love to point out that the Jews always end up getting expelled. This is either proof of their despicable and cursed nature or proof that other humans are intolerant and will always expel the "other".

Jewish behavior which creates enemies is a feature of their operating system, not a bug.

Judaism needs enemies to sustain its tight in-group coherence and boundaries.

So the Jewish operating system creates them. I don’t think it is a conscious decision. I think it’s an evolved feature. They know not what they do. But enemy-creating behavior has been very successful in sustaining a distinct and entirely separate group of Fellow White People for thousands of years.

    Absolutely spot on.

    Which White People Support Trump?

Pundits often talk about the “white vote,” but it’s more complicated than that. Voters who say they have German or Italian heritage lean most heavily to Trump and the GOP, a poll run for BuzzFeed News reveals.

Why are the German-Americans Trump’s most loyal supporters?

No. Everyone is "marginal" in some league, and one's expectations adapt to one's talents. People who have to settle for Yale because they didn't get into Harvard are no less unhappy than people who get turned down at UC Berkeley and have to attend UC Davis. (And it's not like with w any sizeable fraction of Jewish kids have a shot at Harvard anyway.)

Affirmative action is a tool that hammers whites (Jews included) all up and down the gamut. Jews who support affirmative action, and aren't deluding themselves about its effect on whites, surely realize it affects them too. They're willing to pay the price, because of their (in my opinion misplaced) sympathies for blacks and Latinos.

I do, however, agree with what you say about school desegregation. There, some people are indeed well enough placed (ie located) that they can count on avoiding the underclass, at least over a two-decade horizon.

OK, I get your point, and it reminded me that I once heard from a Jewish guy that Penn is full of Jewish students who wish they had gotten into Harvard (and probably would have, under a meritocratic system).

I would just say that somewhere along the spectrum from "I didn't get the Supreme Court clerkship" to "I go to a majority-black school and my friends get beaten up every day for racial reasons" * , it gets harder to say, "this is a sacrifice I'll make for the greater good," and easier to say, "this is a screwed-up system."

The boundary between the two responses may be fuzzy, but it's there...

    This was the key insight

What was the insight and what was it key to?

    https://jewamongyou.wordpress.com/2011/01/19/the-ashkenazi-revolution/

You will find a link to the book to download on the page.

The key insight is that Judaism is designed or evolved to persist, not necessarily to control a vast swath of territory (though it may do so in effect, that is not of primary importance).
