As I’ve long argued, Israel is an extremely relevant role model for the U.S. Judging from current Israeli politics, the future will be, for those of us who enjoy obnoxious arguments, fun. From the Times of Israel:

Israeli lawmaker proclaims supremacy of ‘Jewish race’

Likud’s MK Miki Zohar says Jews are the smartest in the world, so know Netanyahu isn’t corrupt
By STUART WINER
13 June 2018, 9:13 pm 48

A lawmaker from the ruling Likud party said Wednesday that the “Jewish race” is the smartest in the world and possessing of the “highest human capital,” which is why, he said, the Israeli public did not buy into the allegations of wrongdoing by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu….

His assertions led to a Twitter spat with Joint (Arab) List party MK Ahmad Tibi, who noted Nazi Germany’s treatment of Jews as a race during the Holocaust.

“I can tell you something very basic,” Zohar said during the Radio 103FM debate. “You can’t fool the Jews, no matter what is the media writes. The public in Israel is a public that belongs to the Jewish race, and the entire Jewish race is the highest human capital, the smartest, the most comprehending. The public knows what the prime minister is doing for the country and how excellent he is at his job.” …

“What can you do? We were blessed by God… and I will continue to say that at every opportunity,” he said. “I don’t have to be ashamed about the Jewish people being the Chosen People; the smartest, most special people in the world.”

Zohar cited the many innovations and discoveries made by Jews, and said that Israel had achieved more in its 70-year span than some peoples had in thousands of years.

“You can understand why we usually win a lot of Nobel Prizes,” he said.

Because you help and promote your own tribe to the detriment of other groups while, at the same time, literally making a federal case out of it whenever you even suspect the goyim of trying to do the same thing?

  8. Recently caught an episode of “Young Sheldon,” the “Big Bang Theory” spinoff created by the (Jewish) TV producer Chuck Lorre. In the episode young Sheldon Cooper decides that he needs to become Jewish, because ‘most of the great scientists are Jewish’ (no mention of Newton, Darwin, Galileo, Planck, Watson, etc, etc). So Sheldon calls the head of a Jewish temple in Houston, who tells him (in a roundabout sorta way) to stay the hell away from Judaism.

    To sum it up:
Christian congregations: “Please, come join us! We are here to help you!”
Jewish congregations: “If you aren’t ethnically Jewish stay the hell out!”

    That’s what I say, Bubi!

    Difference between Israel and US.

    1. In Israel, you can say Jews are the best and supreme.

    2. In the US, you must treat Jews as if they are the best and the most supreme while saying Jewishness is a lesson against supremacism. So, you must FEEL that Jews are supreme without ever SAYING so.

  12. “Miki” is short for Makhlouf. That doesn’t sound very Old Testamental. Is he one of those “Oriental Jews” that are Likud’s base?

    Ahmed Tibi = Baited him.

MK Tibi should marry one of the D’Abo girls of England. Then she’d be Mrs Tibi-D’abo, and carry the name of the mountain overlooking Barcelona.

That won’t go over very well with Ilhan Omar. And more importantly, her backers, Sakat Chakrabarti, and Cenk Ughyur. Or their backers, the government of Qatar.

That is the other side of globalism. A local argument made in a local language gets spread around the world and all of a sudden it is an international incident.

If an Israeli Jewish politician in Israel wants to argue with an Israeli Arab one about which people is smarter, what do I care? However now that they’ve baited the Chakrabarti machine I fully expect Mr. Brown Hitler to get the US Congress and ultimately the US government involved.

I have an unhealthy obsession with Rabbi Meir Kahane. The more you look into him, the weirder it all gets. He goes from obscure Howard Beach Rabbi to an FBI informant who infiltrates the John Birch Society by pretending to be a gentile. Kahane’s machinations in the John Birch Society lead to a woman jumping off the Queensborough Bridge. Then Kahane starts the Jewish Defense League and runs a bombing campaign against Russian interests first in New York and then all over the country. He eventually moves to Israel and starts a right wing party that is eventually banned.

Kahane was assassinated in Midtown Manhattan by a muslim extremist who was defended by William Kunstler and found not guilty. Kahane’s assailant would go on to participate in the first World Trade Center bombing! Hard to believe it is all real.

Much like Commentary’s Norman Podhoretyz, Kahane’s radical zionism arose in part out of his negative experiences with integration in the outer boroughs of New York City in the 1960’s. This is not to say that Kahane was not utterly immersed in radical zionist politics from an early age, he surely was, but the apparent failure of integration in New York City, likely deeply affected his thinking.

“But currently, Jews are the smartest people on the planet. They are winning this war because of this fact.”

I think that’s a bit deceptive as it doesn’t account for population size differences. Japan has the world’s highest average IQ, not Israel (94), and I would argue that country is much superior when compared to Israel in nearly every measurable way. English proficiency is also very high in Israel compared with Japan; I’m sure this advantages them in the Nobel Prize department*. Another Asian nation, South Korea, has the world’s highest per capita patent ratio and sports a slew of globally important corporations. Asia additionally hosts influential telecommunications, video game, mobile phone, and internet companies And that list doesn’t include rising AI, chip manufacturing, and biotech companies in China.

Israeli industry, on the other hand, is greatly subsidized by the United States through specialized trade deals and foreign aid transfers. The vaunted IDF, for example, is largely composed of American technology; and a significant portion of what they independently invent is based on stolen, reverse engineered American tech or is much less valuable compared to a project like the F-22 or F-35 (again, they’ll get the latter even though the US developed it at enormous cost).

As a whole, Asians are easily able to compete globally with Jews when they want to. I would say that CJK Asians are better than Jews. I don’t even think we’ve seen the Chinese IQ max out yet – probably will hit 103 or 104. A small subset of humans, Jews, may be technically more intelligent over all, but Asians are far more numerous, which in my book makes them the superior people – smart plus large.

IMHO: they are winning the war because they are more ruthless and more Machiavellian. It’s not just that they are smarter. Whites are smarter than some other groups but still lose out to them all the time because they are a moralistic, “good” people.

*Along with the fact that the prize has been around since long before Asia began industrializing. S. Korea was still a dictatorship in the late 1980s + half of Nobel Prize winners are older than ~60, so the whole “Jews winning Nobel Prizes = superior” argument holds less water than some people might think. As Ron Unz has demonstrated, Asians (Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans) are now easily competing with and out competing Jews in technical pursuits in the United States among the younger generation.

    1. They’re highly articulate and extroverted, while Asians tend toward introversion and lack English fluency. So Jews are much more capable of getting promoted into powerful positions.

Gratitude in return for what? What exactly does Israel do for us that a country such as Qatar doesn’t do much better? And ‘trusted ally”? I wouldn’t say that at all:

Disagree. Times are definitely changing. New poll: Americans’ support for Israel falls to lowest point in a decade.

“While support for Israel among Democrats dropped by 6%, Republican support declined by 13%, a staggering figure in light of Republican President Donald Trump’s cultivation of an intensely close relationship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.”

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/new-poll-americans-support-for-israel-declines-to-lowest-point-in-a-decade/

Note: this is probably why the ADL is banning alt-right/Israel-skeptic books on Amazon. Ron Unz has a great piece on the subject, but I don’t think he made that connection.

A majority of Americans think foreign aid to Israel is too much/way too much:

    Your God.

*I wonder if the GOP could get real levels of black support, breaking the democrat coalition, by 1) going economically populist 2) turning on Israel and rich Jews in the United States. Republican support for Israel has been noted as falling at a “staggering” pace in spite of Trump’s unqualified support for that country? Is there an opportunity here for a new coalition? After all, you can’t have a DR3 policy while supporting a bunch of whites oppressing browns at the same time.

No, we wouldn’t. If they were “like” Likud, maybe; if they looked out for our interests. But literally being an agent of Israel makes that impossible. Israeli Likud builds a fence around Israel because that’s what’s good for Israel. American Likud refuses to build a fence around America because that’s not good for Israelis living in America – more immigration means more votes for the Israeli power structure and more cheap labor for their Fortune 500 friends. “Jews have 2 advantages over Asians. 1. They’re highly articulate and extroverted, while Asians tend toward introversion and lack English fluency. So Jews are much more capable of getting promoted into powerful positions.”

True, but that will change in time. China is such a massive market that even if only a small percentage of their population masters English, they will prove more than competitive globally. Translation technologies will also make that increasingly easy. Example: look for China to start seriously investing in an export video games and movie industry, aided by a policy inviting artists to China, within the next 10 years (insider source). I sense a real opportunity to appeal to a global market now that the US is consumed with low quality superhero junk* and China has just the right size market to fund it. It would be a great soft power move. The Huawei kidnapping proves China needs more cultural softpower just like the Gulf War proved old military tactics would no longer work in the future.

*The surprise Asian hit Alita: Battle Angel proves this point. It did well in Asia but was overlooked or even attacked by crazed American SJWs in the US. There is a market out there not being served. Also, note that the Japanese are again dominant over the United States in the influential video games market: the US makes low quality multiplayer junk for low IQs while Asians are able to successfully cater to smarter, more influential demographics in Asia and Europe. Considering the immense size of that industry, three times larger than Hollywood, China will jump into it at some point. Tencent is already putting out feelers by investing in Epic, etc. Personally, I don’t think the Americans can compete against the Chinese in that market any more than they could against the much smaller Japanese. That’s why Sony is being pressured behind the scenes to censor their games for innocuous things like women’s butts, even in games rated for adults (because pc American companies like Microsoft can’t compete, so the playing field has to be leveled to keep them in the market). Outside North America, the Japanese hold nearly 90% market share; they do well even on Microsoft’s home turf.

“2. Once they’re in a position of power, Jews nepotistically hire lots of fellow Jews.”

Lol, Chinese are pretty bad at that kind of thing, too. Maybe not quite as bad, but enough to give the Jews a run for their money considering their population size.

I had dinner at Rice U. back in the 1970s with Robert Wilson, who had just won the Physics Nobel Prize with Arno Penzias for discovering at Bell Labs in 1964 the background radiation that proved that the universe had originated in the Big Bang.

This has long been one of the most controversial Physics Nobels because it was a huge discovery, but, on the other hand, Wilson and Penzias didn’t understand the implications of their puzzling finding. They had to call up a theoretical physicist at Princeton to explain it to them, but he didn’t share in the Nobel.

A few decades later I recounted this to a professor of astronomy at one of the UC colleges. He replied, “Do you think it’s a coincidence they gave the Nobel to Wilson, the finest experimental astronomer of his generation? Do you think it’s a coincidence that the best technical astronomer made the biggest discovery of his generation?”

    “Oh,” I said.

Anyway, the 3 hard science Nobels are, undoubtedly, prone to human error. But the Swedes typically wait 5 to 30 years to make the award, so my impression is that the hard science winners are as worthy a collection of honorees as anybody.

I’m not sure the Native Americans who had their civilizations destroyed at the hands of the Conquistadors appreciated the “help” they got in being converted. There’s a difference between “our doors are always open” and herding people in off the street. Christianity has often strayed into the latter. As a business model you can’t knock it – Christianity has been spectacularly successful in gaining adherents. But from a purely ethical POV it can be questionable. The Consequences of Teen Motherhood Can Last for Generations

    https://www.theatlantic.com/family/archive/2019/03/bad-news-about-declining-teen-pregnancy-rates/584500/

A child whose mother had her as a teenager is set up to have a tough life. Compared with peers whose parents gave birth later, this child is at a greater risk of being born prematurely, of struggling to acquire basic skills such as literacy and self-control, and of underperforming in school.

This child is also more likely to become a teen mother herself. Adolescent pregnancy isn’t genetic, but it is hereditary in a way. The child of a teen mom is bound to inherit the circumstances—poverty, familial instability—that potentially contributed to the pregnancy in the first place.

It’s both genetic (whose expression depends on environmental factors) and heritable.

The good news is that women around the world are having children later in life

But what’s especially noteworthy, again, is that the correlation between a child’s school readiness and the age at which her grandma became a mother seems to persist even when the child’s own mother was not a teen mom.

It’s certainly possible that a young mother could exacerbate a child’s development, but the most likely explanation for most of the difference in school “readiness” (as in “the kids are smart, but just need a moment to gather their wits”?) is that (fifth law of behavioral genetics per Kirkegaard AKA replicated finding number 4 in behavioral genetics per Plomin) low cognitive ability, poverty, low self-control, low literacy, and greater tendancy to get pregnant and give birth as a teen are all intercorrelated with underlying genetically and developmentally linked neurological and brain deficiencies.

The investigators did a Chetty-style mashup of Census data and public school teacher-source child evaluations, so parental SES could have been estimated if they had wanted to.

Wall-Wieler attributes this phenomenon to the insidious and persistent consequences of poverty, and to the inability of education systems to usher many kids out of that trap.

    No. Wrong.

“Teen parenthood doesn’t lead to social and economic disadvantage,” Karen Benjamin Guzzo, a Bowling Green State University sociologist who studies demography and family trends, told me in an email. “It’s the other way around.” In other words, most teen moms are poor not because of their adolescent pregnancy, but because poverty tends to beget more poverty.

No. They are poor because poorness and teen pregnancy and all the rest are heritable.

Ironically, the kids produced from fresh ova and sperm of teens are probably going to have a lower additional mutations than the Frankenkids of IVF-using 40-something elites, but the start line mutational load is the problem.

the background radiation that proved that the universe had originated in the Big Bang.

It’s this very sort of unmotivated entailment that gets to the heart of my point. It does not prove what they think it proves.

George Smoot, another Nobel laureate in the microwave background train, simply massaged his COBE findings out of statistical noise. Not out of any deliberate motive to defraud, mind you; I’m sure he fully believed that he was doing actual science. The very problem is that he thinks so, and that practically the entire consortium of the world’s preeminent physicists, including those on the Nobel committee, agree with him. Smoot is undoubtedly a bright guy, but I have to question the judgment of anybody who doesn’t realize that the microwave background anisotropy is simply a massive case of seeing what you want to see.

The whole Big Bang cosmological paradigm is already starting to go by the boards. Once it does, it will be both legitimate and instructive to wonder what all those Nobel Prizes really meant.

While I agree they are reasonably fair, and certainly more fair than the peace prize, even in the hard sciences the Nobel Prize committee whiffs on occasion. One of the earliest physics prizes, IIRC, was for an improvement to lighthouse design. More recently I can think of a few of the physics prizes that I sorta thought were head-scratchers. The one for graphene, for instance; while it was great work it seemed like it was prematurely awarded; there was an assumption that graphene would take the world by storm just like silicon had…hasn’t really happened yet, but I suppose it still might…nonetheless seems a little premature to award given that they made Higgs wait until he was at the end of his life for his prize.

As physics gets more and more mined out there are a lot of what you might call ‘mezzanine level discoveries’ and fewer truly superlative ones; it gets tough to make the award. This is the kind of situation when politics can creep in and you can start putting a political thumb on the scale without it being too conspicuous, which I expect will start happening within my lifetime.

Hey, great (((deal))); a billion people settling for what 15m people get.

  146. As I’ve long argued, Israel is an extremely relevant role model for the U.S. Judging from current Israeli politics, the future will be, for those of us who enjoy obnoxious arguments, fun.

Steve, your desire to point to Israel to make points–“hey look, a fence!”–and remind American Jews how actual nations behave, and that their behavior to their fellow Americans is … uh … “suboptimal”, has some merit.

But i don’t think you’re correct here. Israel can have “obnoxious” arguments because at root it’s a nation. “We’re special” or “we’re the best” is the kind of thing that people can say when said people are actually in charge of a nation. Jews are in charge–and an overwhelming majority of the people allowed to vote–and Arabs aren’t. So a Jewish politician can say what is congenial to Jews without sweating it.

In contrast in the US, Steve King gets stripped of his committee assignments and officially denounced for blundering around daring to suggest that white people–i.e. Western Civilization–doesn’t suck and bemoaning how the people and culture that built the nation are routinely abused.

Now obviously King’s particular defenstration was under–and ochrestrated by–the current nasty Jewish supremacy, where flyover country goyim daring to smile in the face of a minority, rather than bend over and grab ankles, evokes rage, much less daring to suggest whites are good people and built this nation.

But even after the Jewish suzerainty weakens and it’s fringes all around i don’t think that’s going to mean we get back to free speech. Rather i think you end up with controlled political speech designed to contain hostility–like the seven pager the Democrats just produced to denounce Ilan Omar–for making true but “offensive”, i.e. coalition disturbing statements–but without actually denouncing her.

It’s fundamental. Diversity creates contention and conflict. Ergo the society norms–and worse the state–put an increasingly heavy boot on people’s throats, to not generate conflict the state doesn’t see in its interest.

If you want free speech–have a nation.

You can have a White Christianland but it will be limited to New Jersey since that’s the total amount of land that Jews have for their homeland.

Yeah right. If only Jews had a bigger homeland. The size of the Jewish homeland is immaterial. Israel could be the size of Canada and half of world Jewry would still not return. It’s not the geographic limitations of Israel that is the problem, it’s the demographic one. Israel’s market is too small to justify an inordinate number employed in professional fields that the large markets of White Christian lands support. So enough with this lamenting about the size of Israel.

Further, to suggest that a people who have founded and peopled the major nations of 3 continents be reduced to living in a mass the size of New Jersey is ridiculous, and you know it.

Most people in America, black or white, Jewish or Gentile, have no problem with “America is the greatest” type rhetoric. The problem comes when WN’s claim America for themselves and insist that America is a White Christian (preferably Protestant) nation. The Founding Fathers were very careful to set up America on non-sectarian, non-racial lines (and this was doubly affirmed in the post-Civil War amendments). White Christians did a lot of great stuff and America as we know it wouldn’t exist without them (although America was never as lily white as in their imaginations – Crispus Attucks shows up in the narrative literally on day 1) but one of the things that they forgot (or maybe they weren’t so dumb and consciously omitted) to do was declare themselves as having a permanent privileged role as the Senior Partners of American society. Something like this was tried in the South and it failed.

Israel OTOH was explicitly founded as the (one and only) Jewish state in a partition, just like Pakistan was the Muslim state and India the Hindu state as a result of a similar partition around the same time. Minorities are protected but the leading role of the Jews is enshrined as surely as the leading role of the Communist Party is enshrined in Red China.

Armageddon: According to Mormon prophets, some important events must take place before the battle actually begins:

    1. The house of Israel will be gathered from among the heathen (the Gentiles) and returned to their own land (see Ezekiel 36:24; 37:21).

    2. The land of Israel will be rebuilt and reinhabited by the covenant people (see Ezekiel 36:10–12, 33–36).

    3. The land will become highly productive and fruitful, even like the Garden of Eden (see Ezekiel 36:8, 29–30, 34–35).

    4. There will be one nation in the land of Israel again (see Ezekiel 37:22).

    5. Jerusalem will be reestablished as the capital city of the Israelites (see Zechariah 1:16–17; 2:12; 12:6; 3 Nephi 20:46).

    6. Judah will become powerful in politics and warfare (see Isaiah 19:16–17; Zechariah 10:3, 5–6).

    7. A great combination of organizations serving Satan will arise in the last days. This combination has several names: the “beast … out of the sea” (Revelation 13:1), representing the kingdoms of the earth (see JST, Revelation 13:1; 17:8–14; Bruce R. McConkie, Doctrinal New Testament Commentary 3:520); the “great and abominable church,” “the church of the devil,” “the great whore,” and “the mother of … abominations” (Revelation 17:1, 5).

I think the doctrine goes something along the lines of “all the righteous” migrating to the North American continent; and then Israel with all its chosen ones going up in flames. This just prior to the rest of world ending in nuclear armageddon as those righteous gathered on the North American continent are “lifted unto the heavens”.

We are talking about 1790, and the USA at that time is under our present Constitution with our first President and first session of Congress. I don’t know when the last indentured servants came. But based upon this, there was a material amount during colonial times

Between one-half and two-thirds of white immigrants to the American colonies between the 1630s and American Revolution had come under indentures.[2] However, while almost half the European immigrants to the Thirteen Colonies were indentured servants, at any one time they were outnumbered by workers who had never been indentured, or whose indenture had expired, and thus free wage labor was the more prevalent for Europeans in the colonies.

You have to think with this many people having been indentured, that any alive and free after 1790 would have applied for naturalization.

Jack, this line you have about the founding is such a Jewish parody. It’s always enlightening to see the Jewish id–there is no people! there is no nation! But it isn’t even worth serious comment.

I know modern Jewish leftism seems to have a real issue penchant for binarity, but in the real world things aren’t binary. It’s actually quite possible to have a set of universal principles for your nation but it nonetheless is a particular people. (As a simple logical matter, no one serious ever works for their self-abolishment, and the founders were serious men, not the cucked fools we see today.)

The founders simply weren’t as stupid or confused as people are now under modern Jewish policed discourse. And they weren’t stupid when talking about it practically–not under the sort of “official founding documents” speech. Everyone understood that they were various sorts of British people with some nearby easily assimiable NW European neighbors. Several wrote correspondence to the effect that the institutional framework they’d created was one suited to their particular people, and (probably) not to any other. (Which events have tended to bear out.) When the “founding principles” documents were done and it was down to brass tacks legislating the founders had no problem–ex. first immigration act–doing what was necessary to preserve what they’d created.

If you want to talk about the evolution of America and the idea of the American nation … fine.

But i don’t recall any of the founders being named Ben Wattenberg or declaring America a “universal nation”.

When the “founding principles” documents were done and it was down to brass tacks legislating the founders had no problem–ex. first immigration act–doing what was necessary to preserve what they’d created.

Right. The Constitution was a general framework and was not designed to be a gigantic Bible-sized document that micromanaged the nation. The Founders were prescient in knowing about human nature and they added the many protections of checks and balances. On the other hand they could not foresee the immivasion that we would later face. In retrospect it would have been better had the text of the Naturalization Act of 1790 been inserted as part of the Constitution a mere 18 months earlier.

However, that omission should not be used to assume that the Founders wanted some sort of universal nation. Judging by the first laws they did pass and various correspondence, Federal Papers, etc., anyone but the most obtuse knows that the Founders did not envision a universal nation. And that is why the Founders are despised today by our newly minted post-1965 citizenry. Because today’s diverse citizenry knows the Founders would not have wanted them here.

Meanwhile Israel doesn’t even have a written Constitution, but that doesn’t seem to hurt them on the immigration front. People instead point to its “founding principles” in which it was created as the Jewish State. Yet with the USA, because the sentiment of the 1790 Naturalization Act WAS NOT in our Constitution,we are forever doomed to take in the world. Forget any other documents from the same time period, such as the aforementioned naturalization act or some of the Federalist Papers, etc., since they weren’t in the Constitution, they are irrelevant to this matter.

Why do we send any foreign aid to anyone? Because our leaders don’t understand the condition the country is in or don’t care. This isn’t the US 1956. Why do we have troops in Germany (which spends 1% of GDP on defense)?

I would pull our troops out of Europe and everywhere else, slash the foreign aid budget to zero, absolute zero, and cut defense spending by 1/3.

Israel/Zionism is basically the Id of Jewish identity: Jewish Israelis, liberated from political correctness and diversity, can celebrate their ethnic pride to a rather extreme degree. Are you describing the historical USA, or contemporary?

the situation of the two is not remotely comparable. So there are things that are appropriate for Israelis to do (and for American Jews to support) that are NOT appropriate for Americans to do.

But they are comparable. What it boils down to is the right to exist. Whether you are a nation of 7 million or 200 million, you have the same right to exist and to preserve your existence for future generations. This includes not just maintaining your population, but maintaining possession of your land. Though history has shown that others will, and often do, try to take some people’s land, people have the right to defend themselves even if that means eventually failing.

Israelis have the right to try to keep Israel. And Europeans have the right to keep not just the the nations they created in the New World, but also their home continent as well. The problem we have today is that while the former are supported in their efforts to keep Israel, the latter are prevented from doing the same. To rub salt into the proverbial open wound, the governments of the latter actively help the former hold onto Israel via heavy aid and political maneuvering, while actively engaged in undermining their own nations and preventing any defense from arising.

Racist forest? Sweden sparks PC debate over plans to take ‘N-word’ out of woodland name

An uninhabited woodland in central Sweden has become the center of a debate on political correctness, after complaints from minority groups that its name was racist forced local government to consider a rebrand.

Mora municipality in Dalarna County agreed to rethink the name of the area called Negerbyn, or ‘Negro Village,’ following complaints from the Afro-Swedish National Association in February. While the location includes the word “village,” the area is uninhabited, containing just one empty building, two ponds, and a stream.

“This is a racist word,” the association’s Nantale Kitali told the Expressen newspaper. She explained that Afro-Swedes and black people of African heritage found the “N-word” offensive, and that its origins as a word of colonial oppression by whites in Africa made it unacceptable today.

“Using this word employs a kind of dehumanization that includes pre-conceptions of black people as being lazy, unintelligent and more like animals compared with white people. This is nothing we want to be associated with today,” she added.

Well there’s something called the extremes. Between religions that seem to actively discourage converts and those that won’t leave you alone (JW’s, Mormons, evangelicals) maybe there’s some kind of happy median. Part of the reason religions are given special status in our society is because they are based on belief. Discouraging new believers seems somewhat contrary to that notion.

I remember seeing a different TV version of this. There was an episode of Different Strokes (also a show with a Jewish producer, Norman Lear) where Arnold (who is black, for those too young to know the series) wants to become Jewish. The rabbi, played by Milton Berle (iirc), also discourages him from joining the tribe.

Mormons are at least sensible enough to know who to pursue and who to leave alone, to a large extent. This seems consistent with my theory that the real purpose of the mission for young males is not so much to make converts as to make self-reliant, capable young men out of the ‘mishies’.

The Orthodox Christians are not very proselytizing, neither are Amish. In fact you really cannot convert to Amish, though you might sort of marry in and your kids might be taken for Amish, but the full trip takes three generations at least.

Jews do take converts but they make it tough. Ironically converts are really only accepted as Jews by the religious Orthodox, nonreligious Jews think they’re posers or nuts.

Arthur Miller famously arranged a “conversion” for second wife Marilyn Monroe with ” a very humanistic rabbi” which most Jews guffawed at, but Liz Taylor was taken somewhat more seriously as an authentic Jewess since she really tried. Somewhat, but not really.

Esther and Purim are just fantasies about what they’d like to do to the Goyim but Persian Jews lived in Persia for 2,700 years and are still there. They were never expelled, just left voluntarily after the 1979 revolution

Egypt, Jews were there from ancient times and never left until the 1950s. From Alexander the Great around 325 BC a large thriving Jewish community existed in Alexandria until the 1950s.

Syria Algeria Iraq Morocco, continuous thriving communities from ancient times till the establishment of Israel. They weren’t all dragged off as slaves to Rome after the revolt. Most were allowed to stay. Some stayed Jewish others converted to Christianity and Islam. Palestine and Jerusalem always had big Jewish communities

The CPAC crowd just can’t help playing by the moral rules of the enemy (as Z-Man puts it)—as if ONLY a universal nation could have a claim to legitimacy.

Right because they don’t have the stones to admit to the history of the founding as you described, lest they be labeled racists. So they continue to take positions that won’t hold the ground because they are afraid to defend the actual ground.

As I wrote on an earlier comment, the Israelis are right in having a sort of mission statement. They claim to be the Jewish state. So every policy decision they make from immigration on down has to dovetail with that goal. Because of this it makes it easier to preserve their status as the Jewish state.

But our cucks are too afraid to acknowledge our Founding as though it is something to be ashamed of. Every nation was probably born out of a similar desire for peoples of common background to live among and be ruled by others of the same group. Yet our guys have been gaslit into believing that is somehow wrong and that our Founding means something other than what it was. Of course it’s not just the New World nations being fed this crap, even our homelands in Europe apparently were not carved out for specific groups either. But that is another post.

Hence, cucks can’t oppose immigration on the basis of it changing our population into something unrecognizable to our Founders well within 300 years of our Founding. So they oppose ILLEGAL immigration instead. This of course leaves them open to increasingly levels of LEGAL immigration which is really the primary driver of change. End result, they defended a worthless position and will lose the war.

Also, cucks have increasingly tied their outlook to the GDP. If our economy grows by an extra percent, it must be good and in line with the Founders wishes. End result, LEGAL immigration increase GDP, so once again they must relent to big biz and others and take in an increasingly higher amount of immigrants. Of course since it is all LEGAL they think it’s OK. But once again they are defending a worthless position and will lose the war.

If only they had the courage to come out like the Israelis and have a similar type statement, they would be able to judge every policy by that metric and probably would have held onto some semblance of our nation. Even the Founders wrote something along the lines of “for ourselves and our posterity”. But we can’t even have that.

I’m writing this vanity card in Israel. I like it here. Not for the geography, or architecture, or even the history. No, I like it because for the first time in my life I’m surrounded with DNA much like my own. Until I got here, until I wandered around Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, I didn’t realize how much my double helix yearned to be around similar strands. Now that’s not to say that I don’t occasionally have that very same genetic experience in Beverly Hills (particularly in Chinese restaurants on Sunday night). But the sheer homogeneity of Israel overwhelms any over-priced kung pao gathering at Mr. Chow’s. The cop, the cab driver, the hotel concierge, the pilot, the waiter, the shoe salesman, the beautiful girl looking right through me as if I didn’t exist — all Jewish! If I had to sum it up, I’d say the sensation is like being at a B’nai B’rith summer camp that is surrounded by millions of crazy bastards who hate the sound of kids playing tetherball, and all the poor little camp has going for it is pluckiness and nukes. Anyway, I have to believe my visceral and very pleasant reaction is some sort of evolutionary, tribal thing. Some sort of survival gene that makes human beings want to stay with their birth group. Which raises the question, why have I spent a lifetime moving away from that group? How did Chaim become Chuck? How did Levine become Lorre? The only answer I come up with is this: When I was a little boy in Hebrew school the rabbis regularly told us that we were the chosen people. That we were God’s favorites. Which is all well and good except that I went home, observed my family and, despite my tender age, thought to myself, “bull$#*!.”

At the time, Chrysler was the number three automaker, with a hefty dead load. Tennenbaum recommended having Bear Stearns have a closer look at Chrysler for him. Kirk refused and Tennenbaum complained to then Bear Stearns’ chairman, Alan Greenberg. Greenberg told Tennenbaum, “Don’t tell Babe Ruth how to hold his bat.” Over the next couple years, shares of Chrysler more than tripled.”

As I wrote on an earlier comment, the Israelis are right in having a sort of mission statement. They claim to be the Jewish state. So every policy decision they make from immigration on down has to dovetail with that goal. Because of this it makes it easier to preserve their status as the Jewish state.

That really isn’t a necessary element. It should be enough to ask, “What is in the interests of our group?” Jews, Blacks, subcons all operate on that basis, even without an express grant in the Constitution.

I originally read it to be a prediction a pro-Jewish-rhetoric arms race:

Obsequious Blue-teamers and Red-teamers competing to see who can praise the Jews more lavishly, more totally. Those weird, cult-like, unanimous standing ovations, etc., are not enough! Not nearly enough. So it keeps escalating.

Finally, either a Blue-team or Red-team hothead demands a U.S. House Resolution declaring “The Supremacy of Jewish Race” (exactly as in the crude comment from the Israeli government official yesterday), to finally own the other team.

Following that vote, President Kushner and the ADL jointly draw up a “True Enemies of the People: Anti-Semites in the U.S. Congress” (hit)list — All those who declined to vote ‘Yes’ are on the list. (The ADL by this time having been promoted to Federal Bureau for the Suppression of Anti-Semitism and given all monies previously earmarked for ICE and wall money, by executive decision.)

And which still cost US taxpayers money – money that you don’t have to pay.

There are too many Americans employed in the weapons biz. There should be fewer of them so employed, making fewer weapons, and mostly for our own military.

There are also tax-deductible contributions made to “charities” like Friends of the IDF, which also partially defrays Israeli military spending.

I’m curious – is it legal for American citizens to give money to any other country’s military? Can I send a check to the Chilean Air Force or the Australian Navy or the Ghurka regiment?

And, as the Anonymous commenter pointed out, US aid comes in a variety of other forms as well.

It’s not the mean, it’s the ‘motion. High mean IQ is not critical, small standard deviation is. The key to social cohesion is transferrance of ideas and emotion. There is no way they would want that to happen. The thought of a collective European armed force that could rival ours worldwide is not something our power structure would want. We want to have the dominant military so nothing happens around the world without our say-so. How do you know who invented zero? Reconstructed Indo European language has a decimal numerical system. This was lost in civilizational decline. Old English has sepetate words for eleven and twelve. The etymology of these is something like one left two left, after ten. Old English speakers didn’t count much past twelve. When they started to they gave thirteen and subsequent numbers logical names. The ancient Indo Europeans had names for one through ten, mostly unchanged from the names we use today, but no unique names for eleven and twelve. They used a decimal based number system. To me this suggests that they also had mathematics and a zero. I might be wrong though I’m not an expert.

Yet with the USA, because the sentiment of the 1790 Naturalization Act WAS NOT in our Constitution,we are forever doomed to take in the world. Re my “anti-Semitism”:
Since “anti-Semitism” means disagree with Jewish minoritarianism and anti-nationalism, i guess that’s fair. I don’t have any problem with Jews like Stephen Miller or Mickey Kaus who aren’t trying to piss on me.

To your point–the fertility aspect of it obviously having some merit:
Here’s my reasoning. Judaism is not a universal religion. If this guy wanted to switch from being Amish to being say some more mainstream sort of dissenting protestant–ok, unremarkable. (I’ve met one family that defected to modernity.) If he wanted to become a Catholic–ok. If he decided “the Buddha” had figured it out … i’d think that was goofy, but Buddhism is a universal religion. If you really believe the Budda got it right … ok. If he believed in one God but decided that Jesus Christ was not the Son of God, but Muhammed was a Prophet and converted to Islam–i’d be a repulsed, an embarrassing backward step for any Christian. But if that’s what he believes at least it’s logically coherent. Islam is universalized Judaism open to all.

But Judaism is not a universal religion. It’s the religion of a particular people–Jews. And this guy is not a Jew! You’re taking the tribal religion of a people that is not you. That’s pathetic and cucky.

That’s my reasoning and feeling about this. And it really has nothing to do with my anti-Semitism (i.e. my majoritarian nationalism). Same feeling if a white guy convert to Shintoism. Sorry dude, you ain’t effing Japanese.

    Not embarassing:
    — religion you were raised in
    — traditional religion of your tribe
    — universal religion, that you sincerely believe is the truth

Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews are really ethnic Jews, but Ashkenazi Jews had nothing to do with Israel, Israelites, or the people of the Old Testament until 1000 AD or thereabouts. They converted. They have some Middle Eastern DNA because of intermarriage with the other kinds of Jews, but they are not Israelites in any true sense except in the percentage of non-Ashkenaz Jew they have. (Which may be considerable, negligible or zero.)

Judaism is particularist religion, but not purely so, because they do have some provision for conversion. They make it tough and never try to get anyone on the outside in-they discourage it, but if you are persistent they might let you in.

    1. that’s a Wikipedia cite and wiki is often wrong

2 Jews later called Mizrahi arrived in Morocco cerca 2,500 years ago. In 700 AD some of the tribes joined Muslim tribes and conquered Spain.

3 Contrary to Ellis Island mythology many Moroccan Jews remained in Morocco and never went to Spain or anywhere else until the French and Spanish colonial powers left and they were forced to migrate to Israel.

4 those Moroccan mizrahi Jews were in Morocco around 2,500 years. They never left for Europe. They greatly resent the forced removal to Israel and their place on the 5 tier Israeli caste system, number 4, just above the Arabs but far below the blue eyed Russian communist Zionist ruling caste of Israel.

So some Spanish Jews ended up in Morocco if the wiki cite is true That doesn’t mean an ancient mizrahi community didn’t exist for 2,500 years until the Israeli government “ saved” them through forced removal.

David Levy was a Mizrahi Moroccan Jew forcibly removed to Israel as a child.

His father was a carpenter skilled in everything from framing to cabinet making. Naturally he brought all his tools and even some special wood for furniture making. His tools and the wood were confiscated at the border to prevent him making a good living at his skilled trade. That happened to all the tradesmen at the border.

The Levys were sent as basically serfs to a collective farm where they were put to work at unskilled farm labor. They were housed in a different area from the blue eyed Russian zionists and forbidden to use the common areas especially the swimming pools.

That didn’t happen to just David Levys family, it happened to all the Moroccan mizrahi Jews according to Levy’s auto biography. David Levy became the first Mizrahi ( not sephardi) member of parliament. According to his autobiography he overcame great prejudice to get into politics.

I just looked at Levy’s Wikipedia entry. It’s completely different from his autobiography, going on and on about how he joyfully planted cotton and trees.

He was more or less a serf on the kibbutz but resented every minute of it. So did his father the carpenter and his mother removed from her Morricsn home to a barracks on a soviet style collective farm sneered at by blue eyed Russians because of their so called primitive culture.

Levy’s wiki entry as contrasted with his autobiography is the epitome of why I don’t believe Wikipedia.

Well… the problem you’ve got is that the Big Bang scenario does not just hinge on the CMB; there’s also the Hubble expansion, the primordial nucleosynthesis, the cut-off points on the main sequence on the H-R diagram in the oldest globular clusters, and, no doubt other details that cosmologists could mention.

What makes science work is that successful scientific theories are not simply judged to be slightly more probable than alternatives. Rather, a really successful scientific theory has massive evidence in its favor such that it would be simply eccentric to believe that the theory is entirely wrong (subject to further refinement, yes, but radically wrong, no).

Another good example is plate tectonics: I myself lived through the plate tectonics revolution; I remember reading about Wegener’s “continental drift” as an interesting speculation. But, in the ’50s and early ’60s, a great deal of evidence was gathered and brought together — paleomagnetic stripes on the ocean floor, study of mid-oceanic ridges, understanding of subduction zones, paleomagnetic studies of the continents, etc. — so that by the fall of 1973, when I took geology from Gene Shoemaker, it would have been weird to argue that plate tectonics was false. (N.B. Plate tectonics was not the same as Wegener’s continental-drift theory.)

The same point can be made about evolution, Maxwellian electrodynamics, the theory of molecular bonding, the heliocentric model of the solar system, and many other successful scientific theories. We can of course refine these theories — as Einstein explained the tiny precession of the perihelion of Mercury with General Relativity — but they will almost certainly never be proven to be simply and entirely wrong.

The core results of science are here to stay. The earth is still round. Get used to it.

It wasn’t a bad joke. But what I meant is that the brainless poster has the superficial idea that a family of 12 converting to Islam or Judaism, (and my guess is he’d say to a snake-handling holy roller cult) it’s all the same. He literally has no idea what he is talking about.

Probably the posting I take issue with imagines that joining Orthodox Judaism is similar to walking into an ISIS camp, falling on your knees, and being issued a weapon.

Remember, this family successfully completed their conversion to Orthodox Judaism. That takes *years* of study, ritual observance, community involvement, counseling, and absorption in living a Jewish life. They want their lives filled with Torah Judaism (although there can a bumps on the road in a large family, like teenagers).

If they were dabblers in cults who tried Judaism for a week and then moved on, sure, maybe they’re the kind of seekers who’d also be attracted to Islam. Like most of these westerners who adopt Islam, there’s a void they’re feeling and they’re looking for a total commitment to something. But after undergoing all it takes to convert to Orthodox Judaism–and then Islam? No way at all. Plus–they look like a nice happy family.

The social insects generally have an unusually high degree of genetic relatedness.

Any human group as large as modern ethnic groups does not have that high a degree of relatedness. Mathematically, it is very hard to make “group selection” work at that level. That is why David Sloan Wilson is an eccentric among biologists. (As far as I can tell, Kevin MacDonald is just altogether ignorant of the science.)

There is a simpler solution: humans evolved in small hunter-gatherer bands in which there was a high degree of genetic relatedness. Group loyalty was simply a matter of kin selection (the “selfish gene” and all that). See George Williams’ classic Adaptation and Natural Selection or, for a pop-science presentation, Dawkins’ books such as The Selfish Gene.

Group loyalty to large collectivities (religion, nation, ethnic group) is not a matter of biological selection; rather, it is a matter of people manipulating others by appealing to (fake) kinship instincts — which is why demagogues, religious leaders, etc. use kinship terms such as brother, fatherland, etc.

The Assad family, with the exception of their closeness with Iran and Hezbollah, have essentially given Israel over 50 years of relative quiet in the north. If those in power had wanted them gone, they would have been gone.

If Qaddafi was such a lethal threat – to anyone, not just Israel – it would not have taken over 40 years for the US to get rid of him.

Hans the free born German non-indentured migrant arriving in 1840 was a citizen who could vote if he met the property requirements the day after he walked off the boat.

False! The Naturalization Act of 1802, which replaced the Naturalization Act of 1798, was then in force, and its requirements are summarized as follows:

The United States Congress passed the Naturalization Law of 1802 on April 14, 1802. The 1802 act replaced the Naturalization Act of 1798, and provided:

*The “free white” requirement remained in place
*The alien had to declare, at least three years in advance, his intent to become a U.S. citizen.
*The previous 14-year residency requirement was reduced to 5 years.
*Resident children of naturalized citizens were to be considered citizens
*Children born abroad of US citizens were to be considered citizens
*Former British soldiers during the “late war” were barred unless the state legislature made an exception for them.

The 1802 Act further directed the clerk of the court to record the entry of all aliens into the United States. The clerk collected information including the applicant’s name, birthplace, age, nation of allegiance, country of emigration, and place of intended settlement, and granted each applicant a certificate that could be exhibited to the court as evidence of time of arrival in the United States.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naturalization_Law_of_1802

This law was a liberalization of the act of 1798, which required residency of 14 years before an alien became eligible for citizenship.

I thought you said that NONE of the Moroccan Jews were Sephardi?

Nowadays it’s fairly common to see blue-eyed Russian looking “Jews” in Israel from the former Soviet Union, but at the time that Levy emigrated, blue eyes were pretty rare among the Ashkenazi masters of Israel (Ariel Sharon of Subbotnik descent being a rare exception). Askenazis never had blue eyes in the Nazi cartoons, so I guess they were brown eyed devils to the Nazis but blue eyed devils to you.

When Levy arrived, Israel was a Labor Socialist country with a Permit Raj. My father had intended to start a shoe factory in Israel with his brothers – they sent one brother ahead with the machinery from Germany (where they had been living in a DP camp) and it too got confiscated at the port. At that point the remaining brothers switched their plans and immigrated to the US. So I can thank the Labor Socialists for being an American (actually for my existence because my parents met here). So this had nothing to do with discrimination against Moroccans – shitty socialists are equally shitty to everyone. That being said, the Ashkenazim probably didn’t think too highly of Levy’s primitive hand tools – nowadays we are all into crafts and stuff but the Socialists of the time were thinking that doors & such should be made in modern , mechanized (state owned) factories. Moroccans produce some beautiful wood carvings and such but the stuff that they do is kind of folkloric and not quite straight by Western standards and I’m sure it would have taken his dad a week to make 1 door.

As DNA tests show, Judaism is not a race or ethnicity, or at least not a pure one. Jews living in Europe have European DNA, Yemenite Jews have Arab DNA and look Arab, the Jews of India looked like S. Asians, Chinese Jews looked Chinese, etc.

I fail to see why a Jew converting to Christianity is A-OK but a Christian family converting to Judaism is LARPing. If it’s a sincere conversion, it’s valid either way. Judaism has, for various reasons (mainly because it was highly discouraged by the non-Jewish ruling powers – in Muslim lands a capital offense) not actively sought converts in the modern era but there is a mechanism for conversion.

Christianity was, by design, made easy to adopt because they were looking for converts. Judaism takes the opposite approach – casual seekers are sent away. You really have to prove that your desire to convert is sincere and complete and then you will be accepted.

This brings me to one of my favorite jokes. Moshe and Sam are strolling in Miami Beach and pass a church. Outside the church there is a sign – “$100 reward paid for conversion!” Moshe says to Sam, “Let’s do it – it’ll be a quick $100.” Sam demurs but Moshe enters the church. There he meets the minister – the minister asks him if he accepts Jesus, he baptizes him, etc. and after a while he emerges from the church. As soon as he comes out , Sam asks him, “Nu, Moshe, did they give you the $100?” And Moshe replies, “You people, all you ever think about is money!”

Ashkenazi Jews had nothing to do with Israel, Israelites, or the people of the Old Testament until 1000 AD or thereabouts. They converted.

It never ceases to amaze me how people here are willing to have their own version of the facts, as if facts were nothing more than opinions. Nowadays we have DNA so these things can be understood with perfect certainty, even if the historic record is muddled. In the 19th century you could have all sorts of crackpot theories about how the Jews were really Turkic (Khazar) converts or whatever but you can’t maintain that bullshit in the face of DNA evidence. The Jews have been on the Maury Povich show and Mr. Khazar is not the baby daddy.

Ashkenazi Jews (virtually all Jews) are a hybrid group. After less than 500 years, most American Indians are hybrids too. The Jews have had 2,000 years in the Diaspora. There was a lot of intermixing, especially in the female line (just as the Mestizos of Mexico are Spanish in the male line and Indian (local) on the female side). But almost all Ashkenazi Jews have at least partial descent from the Jews of Israel. Ashkenazi Jews have a distinctive DNA profile different from other Europeans or any other group reflecting this mixed heritage.

It’s not “free” money in that it has strings attached. One of those strings is that most of the money has to be spent in the US buying US weapons systems. If not “free money” it’s at least free stuff. But spending that taxpayer $ inside the US is better for the US economy (but it’s still a drain).

Keep in mind that there are other strings attached, explicit and implicit. For example, it’s implied that Israel will not lease any military bases to Russia or to China or to collaborate with them with respect to military intelligence (and Israel has a lot of intelligence to share). People here keep wanting to cut Israel loose, and I understand why, but keep in mind that it’s a two-way street. An Israel detached from the US would surely seek allies elsewhere and the US might not like it.

US aid to Israel is around $3 billion/year. Trump just proposed a $5 TRILLION budget. So the $3 billion doesn’t really mean shit in the context of the overall US budget – it’s not even a rounding error.

I fail to see why … a Christian family converting to Judaism is LARPing.

Well, in general, converting to another religion, completely out of the blue, is a little eccentric. If (for reasons other than e.g. marriage or assimilation as an immigrant) you convert to a religion that’s borderline synonymous with a specific ethnic group, such as the Coptic Church, Shinto, Hinduism, Santeria or that family’s previous foray into the Amish, that’s doubly eccentric. And sufficient religious eccentricity — LaVeyan Satanism, reconstructed Norse paganism, my friend’s Lithuanian+Jewish anesthesiologist dad the “Buddhist monk” — is LARPing. It’s a question of where you draw the line. Is this family? A lesbian bishop? A lesbian rabbi? John Walker Lindh?

Christianity was, by design, made easy to adopt because they were looking for converts. Judaism takes the opposite approach – casual seekers are sent away. You really have to prove that your desire to convert is sincere and complete and then you will be accepted.

The difference is somewhat semantic; you’re considered a Christian from the moment of baptism, but that’s provided your conversion is sincere and complete. If you don’t subsequently adhere to Christianity, then you aren’t a Christian.

The strictures of serious/historical Christianity (e.g. attend church and conduct no business on Sunday, remain celibate until monogamous marriage and practice no birth control, fast for Lent, make penance for your sins, pray for your enemies) might be less intense than those of Orthodox Judaism or Islam, but they’re still pretty major compared to a secular lifestyle or to most historical pagan religions.

    Anonymous[339] asked me:

[Dave]Group loyalty was simply a matter of kin selection

[Anon]What does this sentence even mean?

    Okay, I’ll elaborate.

Natural selection works on genes. Because we share a lot of genes with close kin, we can often advance our genes’ fate by helping our kin: hence, kin selection.

In a small hunter-gatherer band, most people are kin, so the group basically consists of kin. In that context, helping the group and helping kin are the same thing.

In a larger group, where most people are not close kin, helping kin and helping the group of generally non-kin are not at all the same thing.

    Is that clearer?

Of course, humans can and do form attachments to larger groups, but it cannot simply be a matter of natural selection.

That of course makes it interesting to try to understand what other mechanisms are at work.

    Dave

The takeaway from MacDonald’s third book is that the Jewish community knows this and has accordingly spawned intellectual and political movements to atomize their competition.

I have come to this conclusion as well through my empirical experiences and observations.

However, I don’t know that they “know” it consciously (not that it matters to the outcome). My theory is that, like species, different groups have evolved different practices and behaviors to improve group fitness.

Undermining the cohesion of other groups whilst maintaining your own group’s cohesion strikes me as an effective group fitness strategy.

For example, proselytizing “There is only one race, the human race” and “It is racist not to want to miscegenate” for other groups whilst maintaining cultural practices to discourage outgroup marriage for one’s own group or maintaining an expressly ethnocentric state for your group while undermining ethnocentrism in other states.

My other hypothesis is that one of the best ways to maintain group cohesion is to have perpetual external enemies. Behaviors, cultural beliefs and practices might evolve and perpetuate because they ensure needed enmity (both real and perceived) from outgroups. That could be quite helpful for group fitness and cohesion — maybe even enough to resist assimilation for thousands of years and remain a distinct and separate group whilst living in foreign lands.

(He found out his father was not, in fact , his biological father and moreover was a drunk and violent, so he changed his name to dissociate himself from the father: his mother died years before.) He told me that after the name change , when job hunting, he got a lot better responses from businesses that were Jewish owned.

Nativists had held those groups in contempt for “alien ways of life”, yet by the power of magic dirt, those groups have transformed themselves into one of the natives.

They don’t make very good courtroom lawyers for the same reason Ashkenazi Jews do: they are very much the “opposite-from-Jews”.

I support the Anglo-Saxon ideals of limited government wholeheartedly and would prefer rule by the right kind of Britons over that of Poles any day. Still, I’d prefer Polish (gentile) rule over Jewish rule with equal amplitude. Rule of non-Jews by Jews is a bad situation for the non-Jews.

It’s not “free” money in that it has strings attached. One of those strings is that most of the money has to be spent in the US buying US weapons systems.

Frankly, that is talmudic-like bullshit. It’s free money. It’s our money which we give to someone else. It’s money which they don’t have to spend, freeing up other of their monies. And, currently, 25% of it can be spent in Israel. This is supposed to change with the current expropriation appropriation, but we’ll see. What does change for the next ten years is that instead of an amount certain, the amount will be a “not less than”, which means it could be increased by Congess at will.

Keep in mind that there are other strings attached, explicit and implicit. For example, it’s implied that Israel will not lease any military bases to Russia or to China or to collaborate with them with respect to military intelligence (and Israel has a lot of intelligence to share).

Yeah, including with the Soviet Union, according to some reports. Also, does Israel have to refrain from exporting US derived military technology to China, which they have done in the past?

People here keep wanting to cut Israel loose, and I understand why, but keep in mind that it’s a two-way street. An Israel detached from the US would surely seek allies elsewhere and the US might not like it.

We’ll be fine. Send us a postcard when you get a new sugar-daddy.

US aid to Israel is around $3 billion/year. Trump just proposed a $5 TRILLION budget. So the $3 billion doesn’t really mean shit in the context of the overall US budget – it’s not even a rounding error.

And this argument again: It’s nothing really – a rounding error. Don’t dare end it!

As I’ve said before in this forum, a black lady lives across the street, next to her is a Shi’ite Iranian family, across from them are Jewish immigrants from South Africa, there is an Asian lady nearby, and so on. Sorry, but your hunch is wrong.

My kids are in a good college, so there are lots of Asians, but also many other ethnic groups. Their college friends seem to be largely Asian, quite a few Caucasians, a handful of Hispanics, a small number of blacks — multi-ethnic, but leaning towards Asians (understandable in STEM).

I do of course care about the SES of our neighbors, my kids’ friends, etc. Somehow, a significant number of commenters here seem to have trouble grasping the idea that a lot of us want friends and neighbors with middle-class values, but do not care that much what their ethnic background is, as long as they have middle-class values.

Some people here have actually lashed out at me for living in a neighborhood that is mixed in terms of racial/ethnic groups (though not social class). Some people, I fear, have problems.

But, why on earth would I care more about you than about the black lady who lives across the street. I know her. I don’t really know you. She has helped me out from time to time. You never have. And, I actually can help her when she has a problem, simply because she lives nearby. I can’t personally help you.

It’d be silly for me to care more about you than my neighbor, just because your and my skin color may be similar (though I can assure you that you are not as white as I!).

You think I should care about you because we have genes in common? In truth, not many more genes than I have in common with the black lady across the street, unless of course you are a member of the one long-lost side of my family!

With all due respect, an attachment to my “race’ seems to me to just make no sense at all.

I care about people who are closely related or for whom I have taken on responsibility (like my kids). I care about people I know well or who live nearby. I care about people who have common values, attitudes, culture, and goals to my own.

But, just because you and I share a tiny number more of genes than my black neighbor and I? Sorry: that is too insignificant to make a difference to me.

I wish you well, as I wish all (innocent) human beings well. But, beyond that, I only care about you because you are my countryman, just like the black lady across the street.

I don’t think that makes sense. I can think of some white folks (a few in my extended family!) that the country would be better off without.

Should we let in hundreds of millions of low-IQ, uneducated immigrants from the Third World who will immediately go on welfare? No, but we also shouldn’t let in hundreds of millions of low-IQ, uneducated immigrants who will immediately go on welfare who happen to be white folks, either!

Indeed, we probably should not let in hundreds of millions of immigrants period, because assimilating new immigrants to our cultural and political and social traditions is hard, both for us and them.

So, why again should I care more about ben tillman (who is, I take it white but who lives far away from me) than my black neighbor who lives across the street? She is certainly not a recent immigrant: indeed, her ancestors have no doubt lived int his country longer than those of many commenters here! Seems to me that treating her as an individual makes sense.

South Africa is stark proof that it matters which tribe is in charge. Closer to home, twenty percent-black is around the inflection point for neighborhoods. Whites (and Asians) start putting their kids in private schools, then leaving. Property values head south, you get what Chris Rock used to call “the other mall,” and the death spiral begins.

Fourth cousins (i.e. sharing a great-great-great-grandparent) are genetically speaking such distant relations that they aren’t really related at all. Elizabeth Warren tested a little under 0.4% (0.39% to be exact) American Indian; you’re on average a little under 0.1% (0.5^10 • 100% ≈ 0.098%) related to your fourth cousin. Depending on how spread out your extended family is, for most people somewhere between 1 in 100 and 1 in 1,000 strangers you meet will be a 10th degree (e.g. fourth cousin) or closer relative; increase the probability one order of magnitude for people of the same ethnic group and another order of magnitude if they share your or a recent female ancestor’s surname.
