‘Clock Teen’ Defamation Lawsuits Dismissed Against FOX, The Blaze

Some defamation, civil rights lawsuits filed on behalf of Texas teen remain open

Parts of a defamation lawsuit filed on behalf of a teenage Muslim student who brought a suspicious-looking clock to a North Texas classroom have been dismissed, NBC 5 has learned.

The family of Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old boy who was arrested and charged with possessing a hoax bomb after bringing a homemade clock to Irving MacArthur High School, filed a federal lawsuit last summer against Texas school officials and others alleging they violated the teen’s civil rights.

The incident turned Mohamed into an international celebrity of sorts and he was even invited to the White House for Astronomy Night. …

NBC 5 learned Tuesday that the suits against several media outlets, including The Blaze, FOX television stations, Jim Hanson, The Center for Security Policy and Glenn Beck have been dismissed.

Defamation cases are still pending against Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne, Ben Ferguson, Ben Shapiro and NW Communications of Texas and are scheduled a final dismissal hearing on Jan. 30.

It’s striking what a high percentage of SJW manias evaporate in a humiliating fashion when they get into the actual justice system.

“Caitlyn Jenner reportedly planning nude photo shoot in 2017″

    http://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/01/09/caitlyn-jenner-reportedly-planning-nude-photo-shoot-in-2017/

Caitlyn Jenner, the Olympic athlete-turned-reality television star, was reportedly unhappy with the lack of media attention she received in 2016 — and is making a New Year’s resolution to change that.

The retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete formerly known as Bruce Jenner is planning to pose nude this year to make up for a “slow 2016,” according to news reports.

“Cait wants to do something along the lines of what Kim did on the cover of Paper magazine. No one has worked harder than Cait to get the body she wants and, naturally, she wants to show it off,” said one source.

Jenner’s show “I Am Cait” was cancelled in August after only two seasons on E! Entertainment Channel. At the time, a member of the production team told reporters: “There just weren’t enough viewers.”

What’s amazing is that even today, the justice system can still stand up against SJW ideology and do the right thing, when so many other institutions have completely fallen. It’s creeping in, though. Plenty of judicial activism.

Don’t worry. Eventually the grown ups will retire and the multicultural heirs of our republic will have a chance to appoint replacements who have been weened on the “right” SJW narrative to be able to reach the “right” decisions.

  6. You want immigrants to assimilate into American culture?

Attention-seeking ‘multi-million dollar’ lawsuits sounds about right.

Haven’t been following this but am I mistaken when judging that the people in charge had a nervous nanny moment when they saw a couple of cables and a printed circuit board? Could it be that many people no longer even know that there is actually (chinese) electronics under the brushed metal of “consumer goods” and that you actually need explosives to make a bomb so that anything bare-electronics + muslim is “bomby” enough to cause a bout of nervousness?

  9. It’s kind of hilarious that Trump had prostitutes peeing on the bed where Obama slept, and also kind of hilarious that the author of the document seems to think that this amounts to defiling a holy relic.

I’m under few illusions that Trump is some kind of exemplar of family values. There are few things that I would not expect a young billionaire New York real estate developer to be up to back in the 70′s and 80′s. I made peace with that fact long ago.

It’s amazing how many SJW manias don’t evaporate when they get into the judicial system: affirmative action/anti-white discrimination in violation of the 14th Amendment, “hate crimes,” the “constitutional right” to anal intercourse and gay marriage, the “constitutional right” to abortion, gun control in direct violation of the Second Amendment, etc.

Control of the law schools and the judiciary matters. Immensely.

  11. “During the lengthy hearing, Judge Moore pressed Mohamed’s lawyer, Fort Worth attorney Susan Hutchison, to provide any facts that would suggest that Hanson and the other defendants had said anything false or defamatory about Mohamed or his son during the television broadcasts. After spending a painfully embarrassing 15 minutes flipping through reams of paper, Mohamed’s lawyer was unable to provide any such evidence.”

That’s kind of an important piece of evidence, eh?

  19. Russian intelligence officers planned to blackmail Donald Trump with knowledge of his alleged “perverted sexual acts,” a new report obtained by Buzzfeed alleges. The unverified report by a person claiming to be a former British intelligence official alleges that Russian officials intended to blackmail Trump with evidence of him allegedly hiring multiple sex workers to perform “golden showers” in front of him. The hotel where the acts allegedly occurred were said to be under Russian surveillance.

Sounds pretty believable to me. As we all know, there are lots of American hotels under Russian surveillance. Russians own a fairly large part of the hotels in the U.S., especially the more upscale hotels. Very few are under domestic surveillance though, which is why the establishment doesn’t have any such tapes.

I’d also imagine that if Trump were to carry out such acts, he’d choose a hotel rather than his own Trump tower. Easier to get away with stuff at someone else’s establishment.

Lastly, I’d like to say that American media reports on Russia tend to be fairly credible. I wouldn’t find any reason to question their veracity.

  20. I don’t find it striking at all. These hoaxers have easy audiences.

None of the real “bad boys” I knew in high school were geniuses of tomfoolery like Ferris Bueler. Their parents just didn’t care, so it was simple for them to get away with things. Ferris, on the other hand, had attentive parents and a jealous sister on his case.

That’s why Tom Sawyer was cleverer than Huck Finn. Huck’s pappy was a drunk, and then he was all alone with Jim. Tom had Aunt Polly to deal with.

Who was around to sharpen Clock Boy’s lying skills? All the racist anti-Muslims whose nooses he tricked his way out of all those years?

I can’t wait to see Eric Holder get his ass legally handed to him in the justice system by The Trump Administration for the next 8 years.

Eric Holder is such a pathetic attorney general. He legally got his ass kicked when it came to Sanford, Florida and Ferguson, Missouri. He is an obvious affirmative action hire, which is why Eric Holder is extremely bad at his job.

  22. bringing a homemade clock to Irving MacArthur High School,

Brian Bosworth graduated from Irving MacArthur High School. When Bosworth was being recruited by colleges, Barry Switzer showed up in the cafeteria one day wearing a fur coat, yelling for “The Boz”.

  23. Yes you are mistaken. This kid had a brief case with a red digital numerical display prominently, well, displayed. It looked like every bomb in every movie and cartoon, intentionally so.

  25. It still chafes me every time I see Ahmed’s prop referred to as a “homemade clock”.

  26. Who was around to sharpen Clock Boy’s lying skills? All the racist anti-Muslims whose nooses he tricked his way out of all those years?

His dad presumably acted as his coach to sharpen those “skills”.

  27. It was just the electronics from a digital clock placed inside a suitcase. Pace Obama, NASA, Zuckerberg, et al., Clock Boy’s stunt required zero engineering ability. Yes, anybody who knows anything about electronics or explosives would immediately recognized that it was not a bomb, but it was a school and he was showing it to teachers, not engineers.

IIRC, the first teacher he showed it to explicitly told him not to show it to other teachers to avoid exactly the kind of attention it ended up getting, but he kept showing it to people until he found somebody who would give him the reaction he was looking for.

  28. The first female tenured law professor of Asian descent in the US, Mari Matsuda, has explicitly called for “hate crime” laws to only apply to victims from “non historically oppressed groups.”

  33. It plays into Trump’s themes in multiple ways:

    1) The CIA is inept. They’re getting disinfo’d by 4Chan kids living in mom’s basement.

    2) The intelligence services have decided they want to be a domestic political party.

  34. Everything is so far politicized that it is not really even a farce anymore.

    Maybe Postmodern.

When I read that the Russians had some juicy sex-related info on Trump that they could use to blackmail him, I was curious about it.

What a letdown. He hires prostitutes to pee on the bed that Obama slept on? Half the electorate would support that. Trump punkd them, I thought.

Now I read that it was fiction concocted in a comments section and then included in the authoritative report signed off by 17 intelligence agencies?

    Maybe he did punk them.

Of course, like that fake Trump mocks disabled reporters thing, the real truth doesn’t matter. Which is even funnier, because that whole thing was about the Muslims in Jersey who were cheering after 9/11. Except they weren’t or they were, or they weren’t Muslims. Etc..

  35. It’s a 4Chan hoax which McCain fell for and gave to the CIA and Harry Reid. Reid sat on it because it was obviously fake. It now came out because Buzzfeed published it stupidly, not realizing it had factual errors and was completely made up by an anonymous 4chan user. This is absolutely hilarious, but it represents the end of the CIA.

  37. “The family of Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old boy who was arrested and charged with possessing a hoax bomb after bringing a homemade clock to Irving MacArthur High School”

It wasn’t a “homemade clock”, nor did he “invent a clock”. If you disconnect a computer, move it to another room, and then reconnect it, you are not “building a computer” or “inventing a computer”, nor is the computer in any sense “homemade”.

  38. We don’t need to pick one or the other. When you’re neutral regarding the parties, then you’re free to root either for what helps your side most or, more rarely, on the merits of the case. Either way, it would be against Clock Boy.

  39. Two things that have risen considerably in my estimation over the last year or so: Donald Trump and 4chan. I enjoyed the latter’s “free bleeding” troll of feminists, but if they have actually punked McCain and the CIA that is simply awesome.

  40. Take clock apart. Lightly stir parts. Attempt rebuild. Use supplemental parts to personalize or garnish.

Once the dust has settled we can make a final assessment of victim status hierarchies. BHO has yet to disavow. Does he not know what time it is?

  41. It’s striking what a high percentage of SJW manias evaporate in a humiliating fashion when they get into the actual justice system.

    …For now.

The Left has noticed that Due Process is hurting their attempts to destroy the lives of all those who oppose them. Don’t think that Ginsberg, Sotomayor, etc. haven’t gotten the memo that it’s time to stop giving Due Process rights to enemies of the Left. A “separate but equal” justice system will be created by the Left, bandied about in legal academia for years, before being ruthlessly and quickly forced onto the country the next time the Left gets into power.

  51. They already have a separate but equal system in jurisprudence, unsupported by any actual constitutional law or precedent dating before SCOTUS went crazy in the 30s. Look to the infamous Footnote Four from U.S. v. Caroline Products.

As regards judicial review, there is a presumption of constitutionality in most cases, but “strict scrutiny” is applied in cases affecting “discrete and insular minorities,” for no reason whatsoever. (Ostensibly, because black people because 14th amendment.) There’s no reason why this principle can’t be stretched to include applying not just extra constitutional protection but extra-everything when minorities need it and none whatsoever to the opponents of minorities.

We’re already a ways down the road.

  52. I dunno. Maybe 4chan is in itself an infinichan hoax.

  53. Already been outed as fake news. Looks like the deep state is trying to threaten/intimidate Trump.

  54. Nice try at casting your own paranoia onto this. The reason the Paleo Right nationalists dislike Ben Shapiro is that he was part of the clique starting in the late 90s who worked to suppress the immigration issue & marginalize non-Neocons from influence.
Whether that is related to his ethnicity, I leave for him to declare.
He has double standards when it comes to sovereignty for Israel vs the USA, and also tried to villify isolationists during Bush 2.
Then, his final denouement came in aligning with #NeverTrump while pretending that he agreed with Ann Coulter’s thesis in Adios America. If Shapiro really was on board for patriotic immigration controls, he would not have vehemently opposed the only real candidate with any conviction on the issue. The guy is basically getting famous from picking low hanging fruit by lampooning campus hippies, while aligning with a corrupt neocon establishment when it comes down to the big decisions.

  55. No, I think you were right the first time.
