From the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation:

Somali family reaches milestone — welcomes 150th member to Canada

It started 20 years ago when Marcus Askar fled civil war in Somalia and found refuge in Winnipeg

By Jillian Taylor, CBC News Posted: Nov 09, 2017

A Somali family celebrated a milestone Wednesday night when the 150th family member arrived in Canada, in the 150th year of Canada’s founding.

“I am feeling so joyful,” said Marcus Askar, who started it all 20 years ago when he fled civil war in Somalia and found refuge in Winnipeg.

On Wednesday, Askar welcomed three relatives — Ismail Ali Askar (his youngest brother), Ilhan hussen Ahmed and Ayanleh hussen Ahmed. …

Askar, who comes from a family of eight boys and five girls, said all but two of his siblings are now in Canada.

One can only imagine how high the Somalis crank up the heat. Canadian governments must greatly subsidize the heating bills for these 3rd world types, useless Somalis etc. Somalis and other engage in rampant fraud as far as bringing in fake family members. DNA checks are needed.

Canada – Bringing in the useless refugees that Americans are too lazy to.

In America, we have the Low Income Energy Assistance Program. It's a Fed program, administered by the state. In many states, if you receive food stamps, it is assumed you qualify for the heating program. Refugees also get cash payouts through TANF, or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. I'm rather certain Canadia has even more lavish benefits. It's a good thing money is free.
    , @Anonymous
For a town such as Winnipeg, the yearly heating bill - never mind the carbon footprint - per typical resident must be enormous. And then you've got the indirect cost of heating schools, hospitals, police stations, prisons, public offices etc.
Taking Schaeffer's number into consideration, I sincerely doubt that many of the immigrants to Winnipeg even earn enough to keep themselves warm.

Perhaps the pioneers of nuclear energy, (too cheap to meter), had this scenario in mind.

It's odd that they can print that without comment. I'm sure there are 150 people living I'm somehow related to, but that's not what I think of when someone says "family." I don't think the CBC audience does, either. Shouldn't there be a parenthetical statement along the lines of "in Somaliland, the whole village is your family?"

They use terms like "family reunification," and our hearts are warmed by thoughts of nuclear families embracing after years apart. We don't think about second-great-thrice removed-cousin-neighbors who vaguely recall having run into eachother once in the Old Country.

Granted, far-removed Somali relations would be more willing to jump to my defense with a machete, if I were Somali, than are my American immediate relatives.

Canada & Sweden are some of the dumbest countries in the world. I watched a documentary a few years ago about a building development in Toronto that is almost exclusively Somali.

They turned it into a den of crime and poverty. Why would countries not terribly involved in the world order go out of their way to bring in Somalis? It makes no sense.

The Left, which doesn’t believe in nuclear families for whites, believes that it is absolutely essential to this man’s happiness and well-being demand that we allow every single one of his brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, and in-laws to move to the country he voluntarily moved to.

One of the leftist memes going around not long ago involved bashing “racist” conservatives who hadn’t moved away from the town they grew up in (i.e., no longer lived near their families). But these same leftists believe it would be horribly, horribly wrong for these immigrants to live away from their extended families.

Since Pearson became PM of Canada, they have defined themselves as the "moral superpower".

Sweden has been riven with guilt over its neutral WWII stance, and tries to make up for it by adopting a more leftist "human rights" foreign policy than the USSR did.

The people determine the culture, and thus the politics.

Also worth noting how debased the Protestant clergy is in both countries.

The government simply reflects the culture of an unmoored people wasting away into a degenerate and depressing globohomo future.

  40. In 1939 Nazi Germany invaded Poland with 1.5 million troops. They had to arm them and provide uniforms and logistical support. Less than six years later they were sent home.

Since 2015 Germany has been invaded by more than 2 million, but who’s counting when you don’t control borders. These invaders didn’t need uniforms, weapons or logistical support. They came armed with weaponized pathos for which the trusting Europeans are extraordinarily vulnerable.

The Germans welcomed them with open arms (and legs) and provided them with housing, health care and all manner of diversions (including their fertile daughters).

6 years… even 6 generations from now, you can bet that these invaders and their posterity will continue to occupy their new “Lebensraum” in the heart of Europe that they have so successfully conquered even without any weapons or real serious organization. Those in power have now decided to guarantee Family Reunification (aka Chain Migration) and are trying to placate a nervous German public that has by now finally grown cautious with very hopeful projections that only 100,000 will take advantage of this and that they should ignore alternative alarmist projections that claim this would invite as many as 7 million. If Germany is obliging itself to “welcome” families of 150 for each of the more than 2 million who are already there, then even the most alarmist prognoses could prove quite understated. Even as they flout so many laws, the invaders are masters of exploiting westerners’ naive commitment to the rule of law. Scourged with many immigration activists who are very familiar with the law, the Germans’ newest “friends and neighbors” are trained to game the system and exploit every avenue the law provides. If these advocates are clever, they will act fast and get their new millions of invaders inside the door before the Germans wise up and shut it. Once they’re in the country and entitled to stay, short of forcible “ethnic cleansing,” they’re impossible to remove.

People, especially around here, claim that Europeans are so much smarter than Africans.

The experience of that time was still one of material scarcity. The leadership assumed that their population would naturally expand to fill the ecosystem to the exclusion of Others; thus the thinking was to spatially expand the ecosystem.

They didn't imagine that the leisure class's conspicuous consumption would morph into the care and feeding of hostile ethnic groups.

No, a Master Corporal and a pair of Privates caught some skinny stealing a bag of rice so they beat him to death and posed for pictures with the carcass like he was a trophy buck.

They disbanded the entire Airborne regiment.

But the soldiers and officers had to go somewhere. They mostly ended up in the third battalion of my regiment, the RCR.

The Airborne soldiers who went on to become Sergeants and Warrants in 3RCR were more than happy to continue on the "savage lunkhead" image.

And now you know... the rest of the story!

Any real Syrian refugees would seek refuge in the government controlled part of the country in the first place. Others, who had decided to emigrate, would have limited options as it's totally not up to them where they could go. The EU and the US invited these "Syrians" from Pakistan, Chechnya and elsewhere, various non-profits, NGOs and other scam operations with their directors and employees are making easy money at the taxpayers expense, the Left gets future voters. When Germany and the USSR attacked in 1939, not one Pole sought refuge in them, only an idiot or a collaborator would have tried. It's a fallacy that since some country has had a colony somewhere, or invaded another place, it now must take in people from those places, though many treat it as an unquestionable, absolute truth, a law of the universe.

The CBC site apparently does not allow comments -- I wonder why not? -- and what many would say about this story if they were allowed.

While there I noticed a teaser link for this story -- wondering what the "Winnipeg case" was, I clicked:

He needs to hear about the pain': Victim impact statements delay sentencing in Winnipeg case

It's about the killing of a 17 y/o HS student -- I had to continue clicking back thru past stories to find a foto of the killer:

    https://i.cbc.ca/1.3457766.1456089754!/fileImage/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/original_620/nicholas-bell-wright.jpg

When the term “fake news” was new I proposed identifying it by whether a site allowed comments, since a purveyor of fake news would want to squash people pointing out errors and contradictions.

In 1939 Nazi Germany invaded Poland with 1.5 million troops. They had to arm them and provide uniforms and logistical support. Less than six years later they were sent home.

Since 2015 Germany has been invaded by more than 2 million, but who's counting when you don't control borders. These invaders didn't need uniforms, weapons or logistical support. They came armed with weaponized pathos for which the trusting Europeans are extraordinarily vulnerable.

The Germans welcomed them with open arms (and legs) and provided them with housing, health care and all manner of diversions (including their fertile daughters).

6 years... even 6 generations from now, you can bet that these invaders and their posterity will continue to occupy their new "Lebensraum" in the heart of Europe that they have so successfully conquered even without any weapons or real serious organization. If Germany is obliging itself to "welcome" families of 150 for each of the more than 2 million who are already there, then even the most alarmist prognoses could prove quite understated. Even as they flout so many laws, the invaders are masters of exploiting westerners' naive commitment to the rule of law. Scourged with many immigration activists who are very familiar with the law, the Germans' newest "friends and neighbors" are trained to game the system and exploit every avenue the law provides. If these advocates are clever, they will act fast and get their new millions of invaders inside the door before the Germans wise up and shut it. Once they're in the country and entitled to stay, short of forcible "ethnic cleansing," they're impossible to remove.

Canada - Bringing in the useless refugees that Americans are too lazy to.

In America, we have the Low Income Energy Assistance Program. It’s a Fed program, administered by the state. In many states, if you receive food stamps, it is assumed you qualify for the heating program. Refugees also get cash payouts through TANF, or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families. I’m rather certain Canadia has even more lavish benefits. It’s a good thing money is free.

For a town such as Winnipeg, the yearly heating bill – never mind the carbon footprint – per typical resident must be enormous. And then you’ve got the indirect cost of heating schools, hospitals, police stations, prisons, public offices etc.
Taking Schaeffer’s number into consideration, I sincerely doubt that many of the immigrants to Winnipeg even earn enough to keep themselves warm.

A lefty alderman in my town has rental property here, and being a good moonbat, he rents to Section 8 applicants. He was bitching about how high his heating bills are in his 2 properties since he started renting to people who, as I pointed out to him, don't have the wherewithal to put a roof over their heads without the state's help. He wanted to know what not having first/last/security to put down on an apartment has to do with heating bills. I asked if they get their place free, why wouldn't they act like the heat is free and leave it on 78 degrees all day.

It would seem that by contemporary rules, the best way to invade, occupy and conquer foreign territory would not be the direct way by sending one's own armed forces, but rather to perpetrate human rights violations on one's own people like assad did in Syria, thus arming them with pathos that all the altruistic and generous countries of the world let them in and sponsor their own invasion and conquest.

The Canadian right-wing of Harper/Scheer has defined itself as being "free-market fundamentalist" and rapidly supportive of economic integration with the US and free-trade in general.

By historical standards, the Canadian Right was Anti-American and supportive of strengtheing the links with Britain and the other Dominions. They were also more economically interventionist than they are today.

Canada has a relatively strong Green Party by Anglo standards, especially considering they don't have proportional representation. I would guess there is an implicit whiteness in wanting to prevent overdevelopment. The Right would do well to adopt an environmental stance, which will be difficult while it is dominated by Alberta oil interests.

Quebec and the Maritimes are the least economically dynamic, and whitest of the Canadian provinces. Toronto and the major metros in Western Canada are either majority-nonwhite or close. Calgary has a Muslim Mayor. The Conservatives were blown out in Atlantic Canada in the last election, and they will continue to be until they abandon their economic stance. Their leading Francophone politician (Bernier) is also a free-market fundamentalist.

(Canadian readers can point out where I am wrong)

    Yes.

Rachid Raffa is tired and bitter.

It's been 43 years since he chose to settle in Quebec City after leaving Algeria. But as his encounters with racism become more commonplace, he's come to feel less at home.

"When I came to this country in 1975 I got off at the wrong airport," the 68-year-old said during a recent lunch break from his job at the provincial Ministry of Transport.

"I should have landed elsewhere in Canada."

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/quebec-city-mosque-shooting-public-racism-1.4495692

Quebec City is still nearly 95% white, and the locals like it just the way it is.

In Quebec, outside Montreal, they still value their homogeneity, so Somali invader-clans are likely to get short shrift. Ergo they go to Winnipeg instead lol.

Over the past decade or so Quebec City has quietly become the most alt-right/conservative city in Canada, replacing Calgary, which is starting to reach Vancouver/Toronto levels of suicidal multiculturalism.

Now there's a political party (the CAQ) leading in the polls with an election coming up, that is opposed to the multicult and committed to reducing immigration to Quebec.

It's a fight between this new, conservative nationalist movement based in Quebec City, and the old, left-liberal establishment in Montreal. The rest of Quebec seems to be leaning...

Only answer I can offer is the corrupt and degenerate governments Canada and Sweden have.

Since Pearson became PM of Canada, they have defined themselves as the “moral superpower”.

Sweden has been riven with guilt over its neutral WWII stance, and tries to make up for it by adopting a more leftist “human rights” foreign policy than the USSR did.

The people determine the culture, and thus the politics.

Also worth noting how debased the Protestant clergy is in both countries.

The government simply reflects the culture of an unmoored people wasting away into a degenerate and depressing globohomo future.

Could Quebeckers set an example for Anglos to follow as the latter face the prospect of soon becoming a minority not only in their major urban centers but in provinces like Ontario and BC? One thing for sure: if Quebec separatism was a debatable option in the days of the two solitudes, it is now the only viable one within a country that will be majoritarily Asian and African well before century’s end.

The Canadian right-wing of Harper/Scheer has defined itself as being “free-market fundamentalist” and rapidly supportive of economic integration with the US and free-trade in general.

By historical standards, the Canadian Right was Anti-American and supportive of strengtheing the links with Britain and the other Dominions. They were also more economically interventionist than they are today.

Canada has a relatively strong Green Party by Anglo standards, especially considering they don’t have proportional representation.

Economics are not the issue. Free trade here, protectionist there, tax up, tax down: none of it justifies swamping the country with Asians and Africans. On that score, Conservatives and Liberals have been on the same page since Trudeau the Elder got the multicultural ball rolling. When his son declared Canada a post-national state with no core identity, that was simply a summation of forty years of bipartisan effort. I believe Canada, except for Quebec, is the only Western nation that doesn’t have an electable politician, let alone party, who is critical of immigration.

  64. They did a similar story when this Somali clan in Winnipeg sponsored their 100th member.

Given their fecundity, this clan could number in the thousands in mere decades. Without famine or war, nothing will limit their growth.

The amount of social services they will consume will be staggering. It is likely they will form their own neighborhood enclave, where their laws and culture will prevail.

    Yes.

Rachid Raffa is tired and bitter.

It’s been 43 years since he chose to settle in Quebec City after leaving Algeria. But as his encounters with racism become more commonplace, he’s come to feel less at home.

“When I came to this country in 1975 I got off at the wrong airport,” the 68-year-old said during a recent lunch break from his job at the provincial Ministry of Transport.

“I should have landed elsewhere in Canada.”

Now there’s a political party (the CAQ) leading in the polls with an election coming up, that is opposed to the multicult and committed to reducing immigration to Quebec.

It’s a fight between this new, conservative nationalist movement based in Quebec City, and the old, left-liberal establishment in Montreal. The rest of Quebec seems to be leaning…

In the First World, nobody can afford to have big families because they have to pay for housing, healthcare and education for their own family and children that these refugees get just for being wretched refuse.

I wish my government treated me like wretched refuse!

I think you're on to something.

Democracy is a paradise for idiots, morons, slackers, immigrants, and other ne'er-do-wells because legally and politically they're the equals of the intelligent, the industrious, the motivated and the native-born.

Was it Bastiat or Tocqueville who said it worked until people realized they could vote themselves rich? We are at that point now.

No chance. As seen on facebook from a Quebecois friend:

    ===
"...living in Canada must be so nice. You don't have to deal with racists, and everyone is so polite that every conversation must be distilled pleasantness.'

    NO.

My taxi driver today was pro-Trump, anti-immigration (but not immigrants 'like me', I'm from 'the white country'), and kept spewing out incorrect facts that, every time I refuted with correct information, suddenly were no longer relevant to the conversation.

As always, this particular conversation springs up because I have an accent and am white. This isn't the first time some fuckup has opened with 'I bet you were leaving because of all the immigrants'. I am not a repository for your ignorance and spite, old white men! If you're not going to even pretend to have some tolerance when AT WORK then you should quit immediately; I'd hate to think what you'd've been like if I were of a different skin tone. I reported him to his boss, hope he learns some manners on the streets!

Maybe someone brown will give him hamburger money then. I won't!"

    ====

Quebec is semi-allowed to be “racist” because they are a “minority” (they’re defending Quebecois identity, not “whiteness”). They have been unapologetically nativist even in policy, but if an Albertan or gordie forbid an Ontairion tried that they’d be in trouble.

One thing that I believe no one has mentioned here and which adds a bit of flavour to this story is that the Minister in charge of immigration here is himself a Somali refugee. I’m not talking conspiracy here because I’m convinced the situation would be the same regardless of who was Minister, so thorough is the indoctrination of our politicians; I’m just saying how cute is that?

If only that foolish Austrian had figured out this particular brilliant strategy, his “1000 Year Empire” might have held on to that Lebensraum for more than those 6 years.

It would seem that by contemporary rules, the best way to invade, occupy and conquer foreign territory would not be the direct way by sending one’s own armed forces, but rather to perpetrate human rights violations on one’s own people like assad did in Syria, thus arming them with pathos that all the altruistic and generous countries of the world let them in and sponsor their own invasion and conquest.

  72. Askar “fled civil war in Somalia.” Fled the civil war that he and other Muslims started is the typical story.

If the Askars are orthodox they will be driven to subdue Canada under Islamic “sharia” law. This is what “Islam” means: submission. They must force you to submit, which means they will start civil war in Canada too, to the extent that they are orthodox, and MOST Muslims in the west are quite orthodox. Over 50% in every western country seek to live-under/impose sharia law.

The only actual refugees from the Islamic world are the Christians and other non-Muslims who the Muslims have been systematically aggressing against. Crazy to consider the perpetrators of Islamic destructiveness as refugees from said destruction.

It constantly amazes me how innumerate liberals are.

A lefty alderman in my town has rental property here, and being a good moonbat, he rents to Section 8 applicants. He was bitching about how high his heating bills are in his 2 properties since he started renting to people who, as I pointed out to him, don’t have the wherewithal to put a roof over their heads without the state’s help. He wanted to know what not having first/last/security to put down on an apartment has to do with heating bills. I asked if they get their place free, why wouldn’t they act like the heat is free and leave it on 78 degrees all day.

I think I saw a light go on, but I couldn’t be sure.
