From the Washington Times:

African migrants discover U.S. immigration loopholes
First all-African large group nabbed at border

By Stephen Dinan – The Washington Times – Friday, May 31, 2019

Border authorities nabbed a group of 116 illegal immigrants from Africa this week, saying it’s the first time they’ve found Africans taking advantage of the large-group tactic Central American migrants have learned to abuse.

The Africans were caught Thursday night near the border crossing in Del Rio, Texas — though instead of presenting themselves at the port of entry, they jumped the border, an official told reporters.

Like Central American groups, this one was comprised of children and families, and appeared to be attempting to exploit the same loopholes the Central Americans discovered they could use to gain an illegal foothold in the U.S. and escape deportation.

“Bring a child, get released,” said a Customs and Border Protection official.

CBP said the group included people from Angola, Cameroon and Congo. Other African migrants have previously benefitted from the family loophole, but never in such a single large group. …

The Africans marked the 182nd large group to be encountered since Oct. 1. The others have generally been comprised of Central Americans.

Large groups are defined as those with 100 or more persons traveling together. Before this year such groups were almost unknown.

Border officials struggle to explain why they’ve become so prevalent, other than to blame the smuggling cartels that control the illicit transit of people through Mexico and across the border.

Earlier this week, agents encountered the largest group ever, comprised of 1,036 people.

Border-wide, 4,500 people are being caught every day, putting the country on track for another record month in May, Homeland Secretary Kevin McAleenan said on Thursday.

Commenter Eagles asks:

Will they be eligible for reparations?

They are eligible for affirmative action right now.

The relevance of Africans is that there are already a lot more where those came from, and soon there will many more than there are now.

in all seriousness, it's probably jews.
    , @Sean
It's a business, they are in the hands of professionals in networks and with a few kids it would have cost them $10,000, though not necessarily all up front. These migrants are the from the wealthier families of their country, getting into debt in order to migrate to the West is an investment for them.
    , @CrunchybutRealistCon
As South Africa approaches failed state status, watch out for Johannesburg airport being used as a migrant conduit, and South African ports being used for all manner of smuggling. There are direct flights from Johannesburg to South America. Presumably once there, they could connect with an NGO funded caravan north of the Darien Gap or in Mexico.
Cheap international air travel would be the first choice for these folks. Sure there are container ships but how much trade is there between Africa and South America?
Migrants will constantly be sniffing around to see which countries and airports offer the easiest entry and they'll pay well to get fake passports & visas. The strength of South & Central American passport/entry controls will become a US problem very soon.

For a few years now Africans have been flying into Panama and other easy to enter Latin American countries and then traverse up via land through to Mexico and finally to the US border. Haitians have also been exploiting this route for years. There was a pile up during the Obama years after the admin caught on and barred them from entering. The Haitians have settled in Tijuana, biding their time.

They have children with them and will know enough to say they have a “well founded fear of persecution” in their home countries. Which means . . . they’re in. Say hello to 116 new “Americans.”

    Exactly.

This is the thing with Trump that is absolutely maddening.

The Democrats have become explicitly an Open-Borders-through-the-backdoor party.

They think it is perfectly legitimate--applaud--people forming caravans to crash our border and think it is illegitimate for America/Americans to stop them. The invaders must be accepted as refugees, and it is some sort of crime against humanity to detain the ones with kids--whether their kids or not--and they work hard to make it difficult to detain anyone for very long.

This is Open Borders. Anyone--from a shithole country at least--can just walk in. It is the Democrats position.

Trump needs to be pointing this out relentlessly--pressing the point at all times, all occasions--and pointing out exactly what it means: an end to America.

And Trump needs to be making a stand on this. Stop accepting assylum claims. Deport immediately. Or order the military to create the necessary detention facilities--camp in the desert, or the Aleutians, or Guantanamo, or best, Steve's idea, back in Honduras. And Trump needs to thumb his nose at any interference from courts. Be the commander-in-chief and protect the border. Give his constituents some support, something to root for.
  3. But Steve, those Africans are hard workers, risk takers, and natural conservatives. As any handshakeworthy conservative or National Review writer will confirm, they will be a boon and a blessing to the United States. And besides, who’s supposed to man all those factories that Trump is returning to America?

Better that than a lot of other things. Ebola spreads relatively slowly because it kills so quickly.

Stick them all in a camp, and that would take care of the problem before it reaches us.
    , @pyrrhus
Ebola doesn't kill that rapidly, usually at least 21 days, and can be spread by people who are asymptomatic....And Mexico has no ability to treat Ebola patients, while the US has only 11 beds with sufficient isolation...And then there's the possibility of mutation....
We are talking a major panic here if a couple of cases turn up in Mexico...
    , @Prester John
Ebola and God-Knows-What-Else. I notice that no one from the MSM ever wants to go NEAR the subject of health risk. In the old days people had to undergo a physical exam and were quarantined if they turned up positive for such as tuberculosis. Now? Hahahahahaha...!

Probably the more relevant per capita income (or perhaps per capita *welfare* income) is that of the United States. I wouldn't be at all shocked if these arrivals have family here in the United States purchasing their plane tickets for them. Their U.S. relatives have a front row seat on how to game the system. If I were DHS I'd be finding out how these "refugees" got here and who paid the airfare. Then I'd investigate them.

Probably the more relevant per capita income (or perhaps per capita *welfare* income) is that of the United States. I wouldn’t be at all shocked if these arrivals have family here in the United States purchasing their plane tickets for them. Their U.S. relatives have a front row seat on how to game the system. Afterwards, radical elements may abolish immigration and customs enforcement or perhaps saner elements will compromise by supporting mass African immigration while keeping de jure borders, for a time at least. Obviously, the country cannot support that. The median American net worth for those under 30 is just nine-thousand dollars; the average black woman has a net worth of just five dollars. The US has neither the social nor the financial capital to support tens of millions of poor Africans, which we all know are coming because the black racial group – represented by bigots like congresswoman Omar – won’t want to play second fiddle to Hispanics; they will want their relative share of the population increased to compensate for immigration elsewhere.

Just as the heresy of communism brought ruin to eastern Europe and Russia, the heresy of egalitarian libertarianism will utterly wreck the American Empire. Nice deflection on the part of the Economist, as if education standards just fall from the sky. And what has the ANC done about the situation? More rigorous standards? Better teachers? No, they’ve lowered the pass standard — multiple times. I think it’s maybe 20% or so for math proficiency now. Democracy. What a farce. And that right there is America’s future, too. There are direct flights from Johannesburg to South America. Presumably once there, they could connect with an NGO funded caravan north of the Darien Gap or in Mexico.
Cheap international air travel would be the first choice for these folks. Sure there are container ships but how much trade is there between Africa and South America?

You obviously don't under the situation and asylum law -- these people are coming to apply for asylum -- re Central America, ostensibly to escape poverty and high levels of ordinary criminality; 99% of them have no other plausible claim -- but these have never been and can never be grounds for asylum -- it is an abuse -- there are two relevant concepts here: 1) a safe country (for asylum purposes), and 2) a safe third country.

    1) Trump should declare (at least) the countries listed as 'safe' for asylum purposes: this would allow asylum requests to be rejected immediately; 2) he should ASAP conclude a 'safe third country' agreement with Mexico, quietly applying the same economic pressure he is now so publicly and clumsily using: this would preclude migrants from traveling thru Mexico to apply for asylum in the US -- they would have to apply in Mexico.

The EU has the Dublin Accord -- this requires anyone seeking asylum in the EU to apply in the first member country entered -- Merkel largely triggered the 2015 'refugee' crisis by announcing Germany would not enforce Dublin at the border, and that anyone entering would be accepted (especially Syrians, so large numbers thru away their ID docs and claimed to be Syrians) -- the numbers quickly swelled, with huge streams of migrants traveling eg thru the Balkans (or Italy and Austria) to enter Germany.

The Greens are notorious in Germany for repeatedly blocking declaring Tunisia and Morocco to be 'safe' countries ("sichere Herkunftsländer"), even though they jointly applied to host the soccer World Cup in the past.

The ignorance/stupidity around this issue is astonishing -- Trumps's buffoonish mishandling of it is a huge betrayal.

Not necessarily, but so what? The courts don't have authority over this decision. And it has a MUCH better rationale than the Muslim ban -- it's stopping an invasion.

Recorded on May 21, 1973 at Larrabee Sound in Los Angeles, it entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 89 on August 4, 1973, and on October 6, 1973, it became Cher’s second US solo number 1 hit. Mainland China also has an asylum law. There are hundreds of Somalis in Beijing that have claimed asylum and live in Beijing. Right now China is still a third world country (middle income to be more precise) but as it gets a lot wealthier, the problem will grow.

Hong Kong also has an asylum law and there are over 10,000 claiming under it (mostly Indians and Pakistanis). That might not sound high but for a small territory of 5 million, the per capita rate is on par with the US.

That per capita rate is not remotely on par with the USA. We have over 50 million “legal” migrants, and around 20 million “illegal” migrants. There are also tens of millions of offspring of previous “legal” migrants. At some point you’re looking at real numbers.

It most likely won't happen. Brazil is the future of every white country with the possible exception of places like Iceland and Eastern Europe. Ergo, start saving now, invest now, because, like Latin Americans, you are going to need a lot of money in 30-40 years to avoid the pitfalls of diversity. #1 will be being able to afford medical care outside of the state system that will be populated by and caring for the masses of Africans. Perhaps there will be a civil war in the future and we'll go back to separate nations. Perhaps it will be like countries like Peru and Mexico where there's interbreeding, with a small white elite on top, but no chance of separate countries or a return to European standards of civilization. And then in 10,000 years after another ice age and God knows what things will reconfigure themselves in some other way. Who knows. But right now, if you look at birth rates, population movements, political will, etc. the immediate future seems pretty set. Visit Europe now before it becomes overrun and unliveable.

    Exactly.

This is the thing with Trump that is absolutely maddening.

The Democrats have become explicitly an Open-Borders-through-the-backdoor party.

They think it is perfectly legitimate–applaud–people forming caravans to crash our border and think it is illegitimate for America/Americans to stop them. The invaders must be accepted as refugees, and it is some sort of crime against humanity to detain the ones with kids–whether their kids or not–and they work hard to make it difficult to detain anyone for very long.

This is Open Borders. Anyone–from a shithole country at least–can just walk in. It is the Democrats position.

Trump needs to be pointing this out relentlessly–pressing the point at all times, all occasions–and pointing out exactly what it means: an end to America.

And Trump needs to be making a stand on this. Stop accepting assylum claims. Deport immediately. Or order the military to create the necessary detention facilities–camp in the desert, or the Aleutians, or Guantanamo, or best, Steve’s idea, back in Honduras. And Trump needs to thumb his nose at any interference from courts. Be the commander-in-chief and protect the border. Give his constituents some support, something to root for.

Your chart about Africa's population explosion is good, but this chart is good too.

This chart shows that Trumpy was onto something when he said he'd defend and protect Medicare and Medicaid and Social Security and stop all the free trade deal scams and also stop illegal immigration and reduce legal immigration.

The voter chart says that most voters would support a candidate that says that Africa's population explosion must be contained in Africa.

There seems to be very little voter support for the kind of Libertarian lunatic candidate that promises an anything goes cultural policy and says we'll take away your Social Security kind of message.

    1) Trump should declare (at least) the countries listed as ‘safe’ for asylum purposes: this would allow asylum requests to be rejected immediately; 2) he should ASAP conclude a ‘safe third country’ agreement with Mexico, quietly applying the same economic pressure he is now so publicly and clumsily using: this would preclude migrants from traveling thru Mexico to apply for asylum in the US — they would have to apply in Mexico.

The EU has the Dublin Accord — this requires anyone seeking asylum in the EU to apply in the first member country entered — Merkel largely triggered the 2015 ‘refugee’ crisis by announcing Germany would not enforce Dublin at the border, and that anyone entering would be accepted (especially Syrians, so large numbers thru away their ID docs and claimed to be Syrians) — the numbers quickly swelled, with huge streams of migrants traveling eg thru the Balkans (or Italy and Austria) to enter Germany.

The Greens are notorious in Germany for repeatedly blocking declaring Tunisia and Morocco to be ‘safe’ countries (“sichere Herkunftsländer”), even though they jointly applied to host the soccer World Cup in the past.

The ignorance/stupidity around this issue is astonishing — Trumps’s buffoonish mishandling of it is a huge betrayal.

The African stuff, i had seen the threat--as had everyone demographically aware. But it's interesting how quickly the Africans are adapting to this new situation in America where the Democrats, the establishment have declared backdoor-Open-Borders.

Ebola doesn’t kill that rapidly, usually at least 21 days, and can be spread by people who are asymptomatic….And Mexico has no ability to treat Ebola patients, while the US has only 11 beds with sufficient isolation…And then there’s the possibility of mutation….

‘They triggered this crisis’: Lawyers suing EU over deaths of Libyan migrants in Mediterranean

The group of lawyers has asked the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the EU, outlining, in a 243-page document, actions taken by the bloc to deter migration which they say violated human rights.

EU policies “intended to sacrifice the lives of migrants in distress at sea, with the sole objective of dissuading others in similar situation from seeking safe haven in Europe," the lawyers say, as quoted by The Guardian.

RT could at least provide the link as courtesy.

ICC submission calls for prosecution of EU over migrant deaths: Member states should face punitive action over deaths in Mediterranean, say lawyers

It is claimed that the evidence in the dossier establishes criminal liability within the jurisdiction of the ICC for “causing the death of thousands of human beings per year, the refoulement [forcible return] of tens of thousands migrants attempting to flee Libya and the subsequent commission of murder, deportation, imprisonment, enslavement, torture, rape, persecution and other inhuman acts against them”.

The Triton policy introduced the “most lethal and organised attack against civilian population the ICC had jurisdiction over in its entire history,” the legal document asserts. “European Union and Member States’ officials had foreknowledge and full awareness of the lethal consequences of their conduct.”

The submission does not single out individual politicians or officials for specific responsibility but does quote diplomatic cables and comments from national leaders, including Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron.

I hope this isn't an RT-style cheap shot at American protectionism. By all means mock the neocons, but don't dis America for trying to protect its manufacturing base.

The last 30 years have shown that extreme free trade and mass immigration go hand in hand.

Well it’s mainly money printing which does it, but I digress.

EU policies “intended to sacrifice the lives of migrants in distress at sea, with the sole objective of dissuading others in similar situation from seeking safe haven in Europe,” the lawyers say, as quoted by The Guardian.

RT could at least provide the link as courtesy.

I’m still not happy about “human toy dolls to pleasure their narcissistic urges.” Too long, too many fancy words.

    What would China do?

Mainland China also has an asylum law. There are hundreds of Somalis in Beijing that have claimed asylum and live in Beijing. Right now China is still a third world country (middle income to be more precise) but as it gets a lot wealthier, the problem will grow.

Hong Kong also has an asylum law and there are over 10,000 claiming under it (mostly Indians and Pakistanis). That might not sound high but for a small territory of 5 million, the per capita rate is on par with the US.

    Apparently, you are mathematically illiterate.

Hundreds of Somalis in a country of 1.3 BILLION????

Somalis are cockroaches and pests, but there are few enough for the Chinese to easily string them all up on lampposts. Now look at Sweden or France. You wouldn’t even see 200 Somalis in Beijing, but you can play ‘spot the white person’ all day in Paris.

    10,000 / 5,000,000 = 0.002

    30,000,000 / 360,000,000 = 0.0833

Proving that you are an idiot.

One of the replies to that Customs and Border Patrol tweet points out that a plane ticket from the capital of Congo to Mexico City costs about $4,000. I looked it up, and the annual per capita GDP of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is $457.

Maybe it was Jussie Smollett, bringing in more reliable African helpers for his next victimization project.

Ebola and God-Knows-What-Else. I notice that no one from the MSM ever wants to go NEAR the subject of health risk. In the old days people had to undergo a physical exam and were quarantined if they turned up positive for such as tuberculosis. Now? Hahahahahaha...!

In my obscure neck of the woods, the local hospital recently shut down a few rooms in the ER to outfit them for treating Ebola cases. So some people are expecting trouble.

    a different thing

No it isn't: it's the same thing -- "inadmissible" means inadmissible for asylum purposes -- this isn't/he wasn't talking about a 'travel ban' -- they aren't 'traveling' -- they aren't coming on tourist visas -- these people are coming to apply for asylum -- so this problem must be handled via the usual and appropriate measures: by declaring countries to be 'safe', and by concluding 'safe third country' agreements with transit nations, in this case Mexico.

Fucking hell man -- I cannot make it any simpler than that.

No it isn’t: it’s the same thing — “inadmissible” means inadmissible for asylum purposes —

New tactic from The Cartels is to bus 300 and more people to remote locations where there is no Border Patrol and no fence. They then walk a mile or two into US territory. They phone up the Border Patrol to come pick them up for asylum processing. Good luck forcing these asylum claimants back into Mexico. Though our military could do it.

    Sub-Saharan Africa must be quarantined.

The American Empire and the Russians and the Chinese and the French and the Germans and others must work together to keep the African population explosion contained in Africa.

ISOLATIONISM is the answer to Africa's population explosion.

Africans must be isolated from the rest of the nations of the world in a joint compact to protect civilization from the sub-Saharan African Blacks.

The old time understanding of the word ISOLATIONISM must be re-conceptualized to signify the political will and political power to keep the African population explosion confined within Africa.

It most likely won’t happen. Perhaps there will be a civil war in the future and we’ll go back to separate nations. Perhaps it will be like countries like Peru and Mexico where there’s interbreeding, with a small white elite on top, but no chance of separate countries or a return to European standards of civilization. And then in 10,000 years after another ice age and God knows what things will reconfigure themselves in some other way. Who knows. But right now, if you look at birth rates, population movements, political will, etc. the immediate future seems pretty set. Visit Europe now before it becomes overrun and unliveable.
