There has been much talk about how the future salvation of the country lies in the inevitable dying off of the Old Deplorables, to be replaced by the new, improved majority, the People of Color.

On the other hand, the mainstream establishment also assumes that the various problems of minorities can be solved by social programs diluting their small numbers into the vast quantities of middle class white neighborhoods and public schools. After all, nothing has changed over the last 50 years and this is still a middle class white country, right? So we can bus a few blacks here, give Section 8 vouchers to a few miscellaneous there, problem solved!

Something does not compute.

From The Daily Caller:

America’s Public Schools Are Getting Significantly Less White

ALEX PFEIFFER
11:02 PM 09/12/2016

America’s demographics are changing rapidly and no where reflects that as much as the country’s schools.

The younger the set of the United States population, the more likely minorities make up a larger number. Currently, the five and under age group in the U.S is majority-minority and recent census data shows the most common age for Hispanics is 47 years younger than it is for whites.

A look at America’s three largest states shows the differences in classroom demographics.

In the 1995-1996 California school year, whites made up 40.42 percent of students and Hispanics trailed with 38.74 percent of the student population. Fast forward 20 years and Hispanics make up 53.97 percent of California’s student population, and whites represent just 24.10 percent.

The demographic shift seen in California public schools was even more significant in Texas. In the 1994-1995 school year, Hispanics made up 36.1 percent of students statewide, and another 46.9 percent were white.

Twenty years later, Texas public school students are 29 percent white and 52 percent Hispanic. Texas, as a whole, is 38.8 percent Hispanic and 43.0 percent white.

New York Department of Education figures show that between the school year ending in 2000 and 2014, public schools statewide got 9.2 percent less white, and 6.7 percent more Hispanic. The state during this same time period became just 5.4 percent less white, and 3.7 percent more Hispanic.

In all three of these states, the proportion of black students remained relatively consistent. For the first time ever in 2014, minority babies outnumber white ones so the American school children population will continue to get less white.

There is definitely that vibe emerging.

Fortunately, being a sinophile like The Derb, I waded into that gene pool early and often. I still find a lot of the pling plang pretty grating (see Brian Eno on Chinese opera) and am incredulous when I see Asian PhDs minted in the hard core science still subscribing to various voodoos (the bacterial pneumonia is at best the proximate cause, it was really "fire liver").

But all in all, it was a strategic move and I've made my peace with it. They may not be in the eschelons of the Zuckerbergs, Sandbergs, and Brins (yet), but they make up for it in volume. There is a lot money sloshing around in those cirlces and the tide has yet to ebb (in the case of Vancouver, the flood was just diverted to Toronto).

This demographic change in America's K-12 population is bad news for Blacks who believe their Black kids can only get a good education if they attend Magic Dirt schools with a large White student body.

Remember the Left always say Blacks on average academically underperform because they attend extremely Black racially segregated schools. Blacks need to rub the heads of White students for academic good luck. Blacks can't learn if all of their classmates racially look like them.

You've hit on something that also struck me when I read the item Steve posted: It's almost certain that the residue of White kids left in these schools are those whose parents didn't have the resources to get them out. Some of these are undoubtedly the children of decent, White, working class parents; the preferred victims of our prog elites. The rest are just dysfunctional residue that happens to be White instead of Negro, Asian, Indio, or other. So the situation is probably even worse than the statistics suggest.
    , @Formerly CARealist
Well homeschooling in my area is depriving PS's of lots of white children. Also the charter schools, Christian schools and Catholic schools. Very few middle-class parents of any color want their kids going off to a local PS past the 6th grade.

Some do, of course, and they bitch constantly about "they just watch movies in class" or "they don't have to really study to get an A". One mom told me about her son's bike being stolen and him being bullied, and yet she keeps him there at that ruinous place.

I have to say that two families I know and respect have kept their kids in public HS's for sports and band opportunities. They despise the politics and apathy of the education, but they love the golf and football and band. Honestly, what is HS for but the great social events?

It maybe impossible for them to win the presidency now. The majority of the top 10 most populous U.S states with the most electoral votes are strong blue Democratic states.

In every presidential election the Republican candidate automatically starts off losing New York, California, Pennsylvania, and Illinois, states with the largest cities in the country.

The notion that Blacks and Mexicans are going to form an unbeatable party with the elites? I don’t see how that works.

Chicago is a case in point. In 1983, Blacks had close to a majority and the old Daley machine had been running on fumes for years. They elected Harold Washington.

In 1989, Daley was elected. And subsequently, Mexicans have grown to about 1/3 of the population. Blacks seems to be getting depopulated or have self deported and are closer to 30%.

Everyone has had too much ‘up close and personal’ experience to care about social justice. Demolishing the projects and actually reclaiming the land was inspiring. Chicago is an expensive place to live. Clinton took a major chunk out of welfare via ‘reform’. There is no way for someone to get Section 8 here. Their Southside neighborhoods are too violent. Its cold in Chicago and not a fun place to be black and poor.

I don’t know much about the Mexican neighborhoods, but it is commercially active. there is a lot of shopping and street vendors and whatnot.

So … I’m not giving up on White yet. New York’s comeback was done by the boom in financial services beginning in the late 80′s. New York being the World Financial Capital. There is nothing like pouring huge amounts of money into a community to make everything work a lot better. Let’s just call it a lubricant that was a factor in the police and crime reduction successes. Chicago lost a lot of business through consolidation of major companies — especially financial. So it didn’t have the absurd sums of cash flowing through their machine. But it still has a lot of economic advantages. You have the problems with decades of bloated pension liabilities and public service unions — but its not insurmountable.

The contrast in commercial activity between low income Hispanic & black areas is pretty jarring, yet seldomly commented upon. I've noticed this in the DC area.

Hispanic areas are full of an array of restaurants, stores and other services. Whereas the black areas have some fast food joints, liquor stores & storefront churches.

The black areas there are security bars everywhere. Few buildings without them not so much in the Hispanic areas.

Indeed. And thank goodness all the tax money rolling in from those barber shops and taco stands is going to fund Social Security and Medicare for all the rapidly aging white people, just like The Economist said it would.

I've noticed the lack of any activity in Black neighborhoods as well. I live very close to one and often take the bus through there, and have looked for apartments in Black neighborhoods (the one I live next to is supposed to be the new hot thing on the real estate market, but there is no visible sign of that). And I have noticed that Latino neighborhoods do have commercial activity.

Its a fair and interesting question as to why this is the case. Of course, there are two other types of neighborhoods with no commercial activity, both typically white with high -often very high- real estate values. The first are certain residential suburban neighborhoods where commercial activity is illegal due to restrictive covenants or zoning. The second are hyper-gentrified urban neighborhoods where all the apartments are owned by foreign investors who are using them as places to park their money and don't live there, so all the stores and restaurants die. The latter type are not common, but there are several examples in Manhattan where I used to live.

Since I like seeing commercial activity when I walk around, I've learned to avoid very low income Black neighborhoods* and very high income White neighborhoods. But I'm obviously more familiar with the reasons for the lack of businesses in the high income places.

    * yeah, street crime, but interestingly enough the only times I have been mugged have been in the deserted high income places.
    , @Formerly CARealist
Aren't there thriving middle class black neighborhoods in southern cities and burbs? When we were in Atlanta we saw competent, hard working black Americans all over. In private industry jobs (hotels, airports, driving, restaurants). Not top-paying jobs, but real jobs nonetheless. I'll take that over these expensive make-work gov't jobs that white people fill in other areas.
    , @Jefferson
"Hispanic areas are full of an array of restaurants, stores and other services. Whereas the black areas have some fast food joints, liquor stores & storefront churches."

Hispanic neighborhoods have more businesses than African American neighborhoods, but the Hispanic commercial areas still strongly smell like piss. Hispanic commercial areas are not as clean and well maintained as White Gringo commercial areas.

The difference between the smell of San Francisco's Mexican Mission commercial area for example compared to San Francisco's White Gringo Marina commercial area is like night and day.

Most progressive plans to improve the academic prospects of minority public school students is to force them into schools with lots of whites, but it appears there aren’t enough of them to go around to confer their magic fairy dust on more melanin-rich peers. I am guessing we will see more lefties try to make the case that private schools are immoral because they let whites escape the benefits of diversity.

It is interesting how the tone of the progressives shifted over the years from one in which they insisted minorities (by which they mostly mean blacks) could create the same neighborhoods, schools, and other successes as whites if only they were given more ‘resources’ to the current position that they basically really, really need whites in their lives. They are tiptoeing up to the traditionally conservative view that certain values and cultural habits are good and others hold you back, but they can’t bring themselves to say that quite yet.

IQ isn't everything, as you know.

East Asian cultural respect for elders & authority, and the need to save face, both work hard against innovation, invention and honesty. Imagine how many Chinese scientists are willing to admit the test of their hypotheses failed? If we have a reproducibility problem in science now, imagine as China gains ground.

Anecdotally (from a close family member) even the (presumably cream of the crop) Chinese engineers in the USA are...truly lousy. Let's also not forget Japan, Inc.'s Digital HD TV disaster.

East Asians do, on average, test well on IQ tests. They're also getting a great reputation for cheating on tests like the SAT. They do not, however, have many laurels to stand upon when it comes to innovation and quality, unless they're improving (or reverse engineering) someone else's breakthrough.

You’ve hit on something that also struck me when I read the item Steve posted: It’s almost certain that the residue of White kids left in these schools are those whose parents didn’t have the resources to get them out. Some of these are undoubtedly the children of decent, White, working class parents; the preferred victims of our prog elites. The rest are just dysfunctional residue that happens to be White instead of Negro, Asian, Indio, or other. So the situation is probably even worse than the statistics suggest.

Tell me again how heroic the "Greatest Generation" was?

They inherited an entire continent and they lost it. They had the moral and physical power to stand up to open borders and mass 3rd world immigration, but they were cowed into silence.

All in exchange for a pat on the head about how they had "saved freedom" by giving Stalin half of Europe.

On their watch, the country went from 90% White to less than half White in the under five category.

Agreed. Let’s be honest, they let America die.

Please do not take this wrong (like advocating the slaughter of Jews), what is the outcome if the Allies were to have lost or just had a draw?

How many folks died after WWII “fighting” communism or were killed by their own paranoid “leaders”? And how many have died via Islam since WWII?

No generation has stood too well against the onslaught of modernity. Among other strains, the increased wealth = fertility decline. The Greatest Generation played the immigration gambit to compensate, but they got invaders instead of immigrants.

Are we merely on a wrong road where we can backtrack, or drive towards a better destination? Or have we gone over a cliff, and all we can do is enjoy the scenery as we plunge toward oblivion?
    , @Almost Missouri

How many folks died after WWII “fighting” communism or were killed by their own paranoid “leaders”?

After WWII, many millions died in Europe, both violently and through deprivation, mostly German-speakers. I wouldn't necessarily categorize this as due to Communism though, since a lot of it was ethnic cleansing dressed up as something ideological.

Soviet/Russian Communism's big (ideological) body count was before and during the war, when consolidating its grip on power. After WWII, the Soviets were kind of tapped out. Then the big Communist democides were in the Far East: China, Cambodia etc.

And how many have died via Islam since WWII?

I think Islam has only just restarted getting lethal recently. Through most of the 20th century, Islam was just too beaten down, colonized, fragmented and poor to do much, other than get by and breed.

But to your larger point, yes, it is worth asking how the US's (and the West's) current steep downward trajectory would compare to a hypothetical present where the US had not meddled in Europe's wars a century ago. A German win/draw in WWI looks pretty benign right now. No big festering ethnic grievance to reignite in WWII. Far fewer killed. WWI's bloodletting occurred disproportionately in the final year as the end-game bit in. European culture would have been less damaged and discredited. And the great bonus: no WWII, at least in Europe.

Even a less vindictive Versailles could have accomplished some of that. Even a second world war but without any Hitler-figure would have been an improvement. Versailles at least seems not to have been the US's fault, the treaties being unpopular and unratified here.

Having tipped the scales to no great outcome in WWI, the US could have stayed aloof in WWII. Pearl Harbor made a Pacific war inevitable of course, but not European war. In the Bush years, we constantly heard of the folly of the a "war of choice" against a country that had not attacked us. But one never heard then or now aught against (Democrat) Roosevelt's far bloodier war of choice against a country that hadn't attacked us, which was heavily prioritized over a war against a country that had.

The obvious knock against the Reich is the Holocaust and related horrors, and rightly so, but as Pat Buchanan gingerly tried to point out, the war didn't prevent it and probably accelerated it! He was of course roundly denounced by the usual suspects for pronouncing this fairly obvious fact that has always been in plain sight, if largely unspoken.

But the relevant aspect is what would an Imperial Germany or a Third Reich be doing in the late 20th and early 21st century? One assumes the decrepit Austro-Hungarian Empire would have followed the zeitgeist and broken up one way or another into its constituent ethnic nations. But what of the largest and most productive European ethnic nation? Would a clapped-out German Empire or doddering Reich now be supinely waving in third world hordes and acquiescing in EU dilution, just as today's liberal democratic Germany is? Or would Kaiserliche grandeur or fascist discipline have steeled the nation to maintain Western heritage in a way the defeated and despised Germany did not? Is imagination of such a cure worse than the disease?

As events unfold, I am more and more inclined to think they couldn't have been much worse.

Indeed. And thank goodness all the tax money rolling in from those barber shops and taco stands is going to fund Social Security and Medicare for all the rapidly aging white people, just like The Economist said it would.

  26. In absolute numbers, not proportion, I think there have been fewer white children in present day America than 1970 America for some years now. A useful summary to reference.

Of course the meme that mainstream and libertarian economists believe is no country can function without constant population growth in the younger generations through importing millions of immigrants. When you look at satellite photos of Japan from space, their economic devastation and inability to have even electricity at night is self-evident.

I’ve noticed the lack of any activity in Black neighborhoods as well.

The second are hyper-gentrified urban neighborhoods where all the apartments are owned by foreign investors who are using them as places to park their money and don’t live there, so all the stores and restaurants die. The latter type are not common, but there are several examples in Manhattan where I used to live.

Since I like seeing commercial activity when I walk around, I’ve learned to avoid very low income Black neighborhoods* and very high income White neighborhoods. But I’m obviously more familiar with the reasons for the lack of businesses in the high income places.

    * yeah, street crime, but interestingly enough the only times I have been mugged have been in the deserted high income places.

Blacks can’t learn if all of their classmates racially look like them.

Oh, don’t worry about that. Ten years from now, black students’ classmates will mostly look like the cast of Apocalypto. Whether or not they’ll learn anything is another matter, though.

Aren’t there thriving middle class black neighborhoods in southern cities and burbs? When we were in Atlanta we saw competent, hard working black Americans all over. In private industry jobs (hotels, airports, driving, restaurants). Not top-paying jobs, but real jobs nonetheless. I’ll take that over these expensive make-work gov’t jobs that white people fill in other areas.

Well homeschooling in my area is depriving PS’s of lots of white children. Also the charter schools, Christian schools and Catholic schools. Very few middle-class parents of any color want their kids going off to a local PS past the 6th grade.

Some do, of course, and they bitch constantly about “they just watch movies in class” or “they don’t have to really study to get an A”. One mom told me about her son’s bike being stolen and him being bullied, and yet she keeps him there at that ruinous place.

I have to say that two families I know and respect have kept their kids in public HS’s for sports and band opportunities. They despise the politics and apathy of the education, but they love the golf and football and band. Honestly, what is HS for but the great social events?

The idea of single-family homeschooling doesn't appeal to me. A more compelling idea collaborative homeschooling: parents with similarly-aged kids banding together to school their children. I wonder how popular that kind of model is?

It would be a good way for middle class parents to live in affordable neighborhoods without subjecting their kids to the local school system and to the brainwashing of government schools, but still afford their kids the socialization allowed by modern schools.

Chicago is going to have one of the two most awe-inspiring skylines in the U.S. for decades to come. Portland and Austin won't be able to compete with Chicago in skylines until maybe the next century.

Austin hasn’t even had a skyline as such until recently. You can see one of the new glass towers from the top of Rogers Hill, but that’s about it. The Capitol dome and UT Tower aren’t that prominent from a distance.

I’m curious – at what point to “young deplorables” become “youths,” the all-encompassing word for people under 40 behaving badly?

of course, certain types of behaviour are not ‘bad’ I guess.

Here is an example of some “migrant youths” vibrantly celebrating in the Netherlands.

I love how the local Socialist Party leader, I guy called Patrick Zoomermeijer, referred to them as “unpolished diamonds.”

I dont speak Dutch, so I can’t vouch for the translation, so it’s possible that the word for “turd” was mistakenly translated as “diamond,” because I think unpolished turds is a better fit, but that’s me.

    Bottom line:
Whites do best in all white schools.
Blacks to best if they are the ONLY BLACK in an otherwise all white school.

As black percentage rises (and white declines), performance for both declines, but it declines faster for whites, when controlling for SES.

Ever since Brown v The Board of Education it has been official government policy to "subsidize" black student performance by throwing white students under the school bus.

Even most of the excellent non ghetto public schools in California are majority Nonwhite, Asian to be exact. Your White kids will not get beat up for being White in these schools, but they might feel racially isolated and not make any friends because most Asians in California only like to hang out with other Asians. Asian bubbles are a huge problem in California because it indicates a lack of assimilation into the American mainstream. Asians in California are tribal cliquish on steroids.

Good luck making any friends if you are a White person who lives in The San Gabriel Valley, Cupertino, Milpitas, or Daly City for example.

There is definitely that vibe emerging.

Fortunately, being a sinophile like The Derb, I waded into that gene pool early and often. I still find a lot of the pling plang pretty grating (see Brian Eno on Chinese opera) and am incredulous when I see Asian PhDs minted in the hard core science still subscribing to various voodoos (the bacterial pneumonia is at best the proximate cause, it was really “fire liver”).

But all in all, it was a strategic move and I’ve made my peace with it. They may not be in the eschelons of the Zuckerbergs, Sandbergs, and Brins (yet), but they make up for it in volume. Ha! “Basket of deplorables” is actually quite a neatly-turned phrase. Clinton almost certainly did not come up with it herself, so the question is was it a regular staff-writer hack, or one of her Hollywood phony-friends (Aaron Sorkin?) Something very satisfying in even quite skilled instances of word-smithery easily boomeranging on their wielders in politics.

As for the graphic, how long before the lower-information sort of black voter (i.e. one without an Ivy-level postgraduate degree) knows with a “certainty” that in his comments on Harambe, Trump deplored the shooting of the gorilla, saying preserving the animal was more important than something happening to the black child? Like CIA selling crack in the ghetto, this would not be the sort of thing a James Carville argues for with a Don Lemmon on the air; rather it’d be the sort of thing a Carville mumbles to a state-level hack that he really needs to start working into his ground game by October.

Hispanic neighborhoods have more businesses than African American neighborhoods, but the Hispanic commercial areas still strongly smell like piss. Hispanic commercial areas are not as clean and well maintained as White Gringo commercial areas.

The difference between the smell of San Francisco’s Mexican Mission commercial area for example compared to San Francisco’s White Gringo Marina commercial area is like night and day.

"Even most of the excellent non ghetto public schools in California are majority Nonwhite, Asian to be exact. Your White kids will not get beat up for being White in these schools, but they might feel racially isolated and not make any friends because most Asians in California only like to hang out with other Asians. Asian bubbles are a huge problem in California because it indicates a lack of assimilation into the American mainstream. Asians in California are tribal cliquish on steroids."

I think this is going to be a big issue going forward (and I'm talking a time range of decades to a century).

There's a long history of the overseas Chinese being unpopular where they have landed. Why not here?

Additionally there seems to me to be some kind of... fetishism about IQ on this site.

It's a tool. Maybe the most valuable one. But at the end of the day I, and the people I identify with have certain - interests.

And if the balkanized America I think I see coming actually occurs, then I guess Asians (or should I say Chinese, since a lot of other Asians are going to be against the Chinese) will be just another participant in the "War of Each Against All."

IQ isn’t everything, as you know.

East Asian cultural respect for elders & authority, and the need to save face, both work hard against innovation, invention and honesty. Imagine how many Chinese scientists are willing to admit the test of their hypotheses failed? If we have a reproducibility problem in science now, imagine as China gains ground.

Anecdotally (from a close family member) even the (presumably cream of the crop) Chinese engineers in the USA are…truly lousy. Let’s also not forget Japan, Inc.’s Digital HD TV disaster.

East Asians do, on average, test well on IQ tests. They’re also getting a great reputation for cheating on tests like the SAT. They do not, however, have many laurels to stand upon when it comes to innovation and quality, unless they’re improving (or reverse engineering) someone else’s breakthrough.

"As a quick and dirty guide, it will simply be impossible for the Republican party to ever win the presidency again 20 to 30 years from now."

Repubs lose Illinois because Illinois is a corrupt cesspool run by Chicago pols, which is why we shouldn’t be surprised to find out that the Obama Administration was openly running a Pay for Play, selling offices like ambassadorships to the highest bidders.

The USA is, after 50 years of gangrenous rot, a hollow corpse of what it once was.

The majority of our property taxes goes to education, to teach our kids things we don't believe with kids we don't want them to be exposed to.

    It’s worse than you know:

    http://www.lagriffedulion.f2s.com/diversity.htm

This is a statistical analysis of one of the few apples-to-apples testing systems that allow both race and socio-economic status (SES) to be teased out of test scores.

    Bottom line:
Whites do best in all white schools.
Blacks to best if they are the ONLY BLACK in an otherwise all white school.

As black percentage rises (and white declines), performance for both declines, but it declines faster for whites, when controlling for SES.

Ever since Brown v The Board of Education it has been official government policy to “subsidize” black student performance by throwing white students under the school bus.

" Honestly, what is HS for but the great social events?"

Name the social activities modeled in the hallways of government schools that you want your children to emulate.

Homeschoolers excel in extra curricular and social activities unrelated to government institutions.

HS football games are big extravaganzas and lots of fun for the students. The band does its thing, the cheerleaders, the boosters, the food, the clandestine drinking and making out.

The dances and proms are even more fun. Really, all you do is get stoned/drunk and dance and flirt your heart out. Laughter and food and friends. Maybe lose some virginity.

    Education in America!

I’m sorry those were formerly black southies! since the influx of nasty yankee blacks the bars are going up!

What possible job could be more valuable for a mother than to be educating her own children. Please go back to reading your Economist rag.

The pressure on women to homeschool without assistance from family, neighborhood/friends or paid help is one of the reasons for lower fertility. The whole either/or of expensive private school or homeschool with no support is fertility-reducing.

How many folks died after WWII “fighting” communism or were killed by their own paranoid “leaders”?

After WWII, many millions died in Europe, both violently and through deprivation, mostly German-speakers. I wouldn’t necessarily categorize this as due to Communism though, since a lot of it was ethnic cleansing dressed up as something ideological.

Soviet/Russian Communism’s big (ideological) body count was before and during the war, when consolidating its grip on power.

But to your larger point, yes, it is worth asking how the US’s (and the West’s) current steep downward trajectory would compare to a hypothetical present where the US had not meddled in Europe’s wars a century ago. A German win/draw in WWI looks pretty benign right now. No big festering ethnic grievance to reignite in WWII. Far fewer killed. WWI’s bloodletting occurred disproportionately in the final year as the end-game bit in. European culture would have been less damaged and discredited. And the great bonus: no WWII, at least in Europe.

Even a less vindictive Versailles could have accomplished some of that. Even a second world war but without any Hitler-figure would have been an improvement. Versailles at least seems not to have been the US’s fault, the treaties being unpopular and unratified here.

Having tipped the scales to no great outcome in WWI, the US could have stayed aloof in WWII. Pearl Harbor made a Pacific war inevitable of course, but not European war. In the Bush years, we constantly heard of the folly of the a “war of choice” against a country that had not attacked us. But one never heard then or now aught against (Democrat) Roosevelt’s far bloodier war of choice against a country that hadn’t attacked us, which was heavily prioritized over a war against a country that had.

The obvious knock against the Reich is the Holocaust and related horrors, and rightly so, but as Pat Buchanan gingerly tried to point out, the war didn’t prevent it and probably accelerated it!

Would a clapped-out German Empire or doddering Reich now be supinely waving in third world hordes and acquiescing in EU dilution, just as today’s liberal democratic Germany is? Or would Kaiserliche grandeur or fascist discipline have steeled the nation to maintain Western heritage in a way the defeated and despised Germany did not? Is imagination of such a cure worse than the disease?

As events unfold, I am more and more inclined to think they couldn’t have been much worse.

Well homeschooling in my area is depriving PS’s of lots of white children. Also the charter schools, Christian schools and Catholic schools.

The idea of single-family homeschooling doesn’t appeal to me.

I imagine a lot, but what is the cost of this to Americans, in terms of loss of wealth due to private school tuition or or the lost opportunity to have a job due to homeschooling? Don't both of these options impose heavy burdens on those who choose to pursue them?

“Americans” who choose to home school have to pay hundreds of dollars for the “govt” school kit, AND still pay their full property taxes.

The “loss of wealth due to private school tuition or or the lost opportunity to have a job due to homeschooling” is no worse than any business that provides an unsatisfactory product.

  74. I meant nothing positive came out of the wars.

It reads like a bad joke. Germans think: let’s kill the Jews…oh wait we killed lots but we lost the war and our country’s destroyed.

Fortunately ( /sarc on) we can invite a huge number Turks and Arabs to help clean it up.

And when that’s done we won’t tell them to go home because now we’re onto crackpot sixties.

I know it’s more complicated than that. The U.K. didn’t need immigrants but for some mysterious reason they started on accepting people from the (former) colonies (places like Jamaica and Pakistan) in the 1950′s.

I live in an area that’s 3/4 black. 20 percent white and the rest a mix of ietnamese and Puerto Ricans.

The only 5 businesses are all white(liquor store, hobby shop which is about to shut down, and a tire shop) or Vietnamese owned(2 gas stations)…..

Other than two or three barber shops and a single fashion store there isn’t a single black owned business in my city I know of even though they are half the population…..
