Against the wishes of her New York Democratic constituents, Hillary Clinton voted with Senate Republicans to invade Iraq. (It was a pivotal vote. Without Democratic support, George W. Bush’s request for this war of aggression would have failed.) Humayun Khan, 27, was an army captain who got killed during that invasion. Eight years later, the...

Let us stipulate that no one should impugn the courage of the war dead.

Why do people always feel compelled to write drivel like that? Do we insist on similar undeserved encomia for 'the enemy'?

After all, it takes at least as much 'courage' to drive a truck full of explosives into a barracks - with no air support and no artillery - as it does to accompany 14 other high-school dropouts on a night-time series of home invasions.

At Nuremberg, the 'just following orders' rationale for participating in war crimes and crimes against humanity was rejected out of hand. We no more gave credit to the Waffen SS for 'courage', than we credit modern-day 'insurgents' who are trying to repel US invasions (of their 'Homeland', if they were given to use such Third-Reich-ish language) .

Soldiers are stupid hunks of meat who do what their Massah tells them (I was a soldier once, and young): insisting on recognising the 'courage' of American soldiers when they are participating in something that is stupendously, egregiously immoral, is akin to making calls to canonise the 'nicest' Catholic guard at Auschwitz.

It takes courage to resist the drive to war. It takes courage to refuse to participate in industrial-scale slaughter. To participate in war doesn't require courage: it requires stupidity and a sense of adventure - both of which dumb otherwise-unemployable young men have in spades.

The US military is drawn - as are all militaries - from the dumbest and most economically-underperforming segments of the labour market.

I have more admiration for a trailer-park cracker who stays home collecting welfare and smoking weed, than I have for some tattooed numbskull who gets his psychic income by yelling 'oo-rah' and killing people in lands he previously couldn't find on a map.

Bang on target! Kudos to you.

John Lennon said “What if they had a war and nobody showed up?” I suppose that’s why he had to go. Shame for all of us that so many didn’t hear of it. Economic circumstances as an excuse just doesn’t cut it.

Parcifal, I couldn't agree with you more. The vast majority of Americans actually believe the Iraq war was a mistake. Indeed, nobody in the media or in mainstream politics speak for us.
Donald Trump was the only one who repeatedly said the war was a mistake, even at times when such statements could've landed him in serious trouble. He joined Medea Benjamin and her anti-war group - Code Pink - and other anti-war groups in denouncing the aggression on Iraq. As CEO of a large corporation, Trump laid everything on the line. Had the USG under G. W. Bush and Dick Cheney actually gone after him for his outspoken criticism of the war, Trump could've lost his corporation and even been imprisoned for "sedition"; however, they decided to do nothing. They knew that Trump had plenty of clout; that he negotiated deals with both US and International corporations; thus, they were compelled to leave him alone.

Let us not forget Cindy Sheehan, she not only gave a son that she loved but so much more of herself too in her courageous opposition to the insanity of war that has all but destroyed the USA.

“Obviously, Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims is racist and disgusting. Ironically, however, it would have saved at least one life.” Ok. Technically true, but what about all the Muslims who die because they are refused asylum? Sorry, Mary. No room at the inn.

And that isn’t “racism”, as “Muslim” describes a religion and not a race.

But good point about Hillary’s pivotal vote to invade Iraq and the irony of the Khans support

"Most Americans believe the Iraq war was a mistake. Who speaks for us? No one in the media. And no one in mainstream politics."

Te last sentence is incorrect. Donald Trump repeatedly said the war was a mistake, even at times when it could have landed him in serious trouble.

Yes, this is a beautiful write-up by Lois Lane from that US icon Superman (Canadian born actress Margot Kidder). Please read the whole thing: http://www.counterpunch.org/2016/07/29/my-fellow-americans-we-are-fools/, because it is the most hart-felt resistance to the stupidity and demagogy of the US citizenry I have ever read, probably prompted by a horrific speech at the Democratic Convention of the mega-scumbag, the retired Marine general four stars John Allen: https://youtu.be/8O0uv4_ryas.

Trump needs the advice he gave to Jeb Bush: More energy. He needs to always be on the offensive than defensive.

Also, when going on offensive, choose big topics, not small ones. Now, it's the big time. Cute twitter posts don't cut it. The regular season is over where you could lose some games. In the play-offs, losing means you're out.

Trump should avoid petty issues and fixate on Hillary and break down her image.

To do this, Trump should expose her HYPOCRISY. Nothing brings down a person's character more than hypocrisy. It is worse than mere dishonesty and crookedness. Trump should run on the meme of WHAT SHE SAID AND WHAT SHE DID. He should expose the stuff she said but actually did.

Trump should also play the HUMANITARIAN card. The Dems would have us believe that Trump is a meanie who doesn't care about refugees whereas HIllary the humanitarian cares about them. Trump should hit her over and over and over that she is a WAR CRIMINAL. Yes, a War Criminal. He should say he wants to end the human tragedy in the Middle East by reversing the horrors visited on Middle East and North Africa by Clinton as Secretary of State. He should say she ought to be tried at the Hague for lies and support of terrorists to bring down secular Arab governments. He should say when Bush left the office, Iraq and Afghanistan were on fire. But under Bush & Hillary, the fire has spread to Yemen, Libya, and Syria. And even to Ukraine. He should show images of smashed cities and dead bodies and tortured victims as the result of Hillary's policies that led to breakout of ISIS and Alqaeda. He should also say US has been arming the very people who did 9/11. Al-Nusra front in Syria is Alqaeda by another name.

Trump needs less Bluster and more Muster. He has to show he can muster the strength to remain focused and not be distracted by silly and trivial stuff.

How to deal with the Media? If Trump complains about all the unfairness, he will just be made to look like a crybaby. He must say he ACCEPTS the fact that the media is just a Hillary propaganda machine, like it was for Obama in 2008 and 2012. He should say that is just a fact of American life, like flu in winter and zika virus in Brazil. Instead of complaining(or whining) about the media, he should have fun by mocking and lampooning its bias, lies, distortions, and etc. He should have a counter-media that just makes fun, fun, fun of media deviousness. Don't bitch about it. Expose it in fun way
Also, Trump should make a speech where he tells the people that the MSM is useless and same old same old. He should mention some news sources like Breitbart and Heatstreet that are doing real journalism.

Trump should also run a campaign meme called Friends of Hillary. He should expose how the richest people who pushed globalism and did most to hurt American workers are with Hillary. He needs to name names. He should also say that under globalism, the downtown and posh areas of big cities get reap all the rewards. The world of Michael Bloomberg. Rest of nation gets crap. He should go Michael-Moore-ish and juxtapose the rise of urban affluence with decline and demise of small towns, suburbs, and rural America. He should juxtapose images of Hillary's super-rich donors with the images of ordinary workers facing hard times.

It's down to Hollywood vs Hardwood. Illusion and Reality.

To show that he is the candidate of truth, Trump needs to FACT CHECK stuff before he says it. This isn't regular season anymore where you can make gaffes and lose a few games. The playing has to be very tight.
Even if you lose some games in regular season, you can enter the playoffs in the NFL. But if you a playoff, you're out. And if you lose the superbowl, there is no second chance.

Another key factor will be those working OUTSIDE the Clinton campaign. This is where meme wars get interesting.
Anyone can make a very clever anti-Hillary video. But hopefully, they will have no associations with 14/88 garbage because that is poison.
The worst aspect of Alt Right is the thin line between genuine intelligent dissent and 14/88 neo-nazi idiocy.

The great thing about the internet is ANYONE can make a political ad that can go viral.

Maybe someone can compose a song around the theme of What Hillary Said and What Hillary Did.

The Democratic Convention was seen as great success. But it can be Dukakised. Remember Dukakis got on a tank to look tough and manly. But the Bush campaign used that very image in a funny way to make him look absurd?

The media worked hard to hype the Dem convention. But images from it can be used and spliced to make the thing look like a silly circus. I mean it had Lena Dunham. And that bald-headed Muslim dad and his jabba-jawed wife is pure gold if used right.

Where is that "national will" in Europe whose people do not have this childish belief in scraps of paper?

I would think, anyway, that the Germans, French, Italians, and Russians would be very tired of people with an excess of will and contempt for (bourgeois) law. Revolutionary justice was quite the rage for a while.

Come to think of it, the Fourth Amendment of the US Constitution, among others, has been a stout bulwark against government excess. Europeans, by way of contrast, cower before their masters lest they offend their delicate sensibilities by daring to criticize their treason. Americans can speak their minds because their natural right to free speech was enshrined in the (written) First Amendment by our (precient) ancestors.

Your point is still a fair one. Americans' will to protect their written constitutional jewel was dissolved by the more corrupting appeal of the chance to force productive citizens to pay them money at gunpoint. The written Constitution did remarkably well until Americans foolishly approved a limitless income tax and mass immigration.

“The written Constitution did remarkably well until Americans…” – Could you give me some examples when this Constitution prevented America from doing something really bad? It did not liquidate slavery, right? You needed a bloody war for it. The freedom of press was won before the Constitution was written. All wars waged by the US after WW II technically were unconstitutional yet nobody was bothered by this fact.

Every nation has its myths. The myths are good for children that need to be indoctrinated and new immigrants that must be acculturated. The Constitution and its alleged power is one of these myths. Soviet Union also had a great constitution. Perhaps even better than America. Europeans know this very well. For this reason they have less illusions. Too many Americans still believe in their myths.

"Trump wants to torture people and kill the relatives of terrorists."

Bad policy, but he still directs his ire at terrorists.

The problem with Obama-Hillary is they sided with terrorists and targeted entire government and nations, even secular ones that could easily work well with the West.

Why? Zionists don't like those nations. Gaddafi's financial plan for Africa rubbed them wrong way. Syria's alliance with Russia and Iran pissed off Zionists.

The problem with Trump is over-statement. He's wrong about the torture business though US has been using torture forever in reality. You're just not supposed to say it. (US certainly tolerated its proxies using torture.)

    "Oh, yeah, that would work."

The sheer wreckage of Syria and Libya are powerful testament to total criminality of the neo-imperialist US. Americans ought to be ashamed that they are hooked to Miley Cyrus and the Kardashians while their government is destroying entire nations.
Americans aren't much different from Germans in Nazi Germany who watched silly movies and had a good time while the German war machine was making a mess of other nations.

Under Obama-Hillary, the War on Terror(dubious to begin with) has turned into a full-blown War with Terror against legit governments and states.

If anything, Trump doesn't go far enough with this. While he should mention victims of Muslim terrorism in the West, he should have made a bigger point about Muslim/Arab victims of US foreign policy that should now be called War with Terror.
Hillary aided terrorists in Libya and Syria. She should be tried at the Hague.

Trump’s right on trade, offspring, decay of America, and immigration.

Alas, he does not understand principles. He could skewer the Treason Class by pointing out that “comprehensive immigration reform” means amnesty and deliberate non-enforcement. Silence.

He could talk about the enormous and unconstitutional federalization of America. Silence.

These are huge issue but he doesn’t harp on them, being too easily diverted by nickel and dime stuff.

Fact: Western culture is at war, NOT with Muslims, but with Zionist Jews.

To that end, Zionists first pushed the west to war on Muslim nations (Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan). Zionists stage terror attacks, such as 9/11 to push their narrative of an "evil Muslim who is out to hurt us". Then they use their media and entertainment industry to continue the "Muslims are trying to destroy the West" narrative. Then when Muslims flee the carnage WE created in the Middle East, the media hypes up the refugee crisis as an invasion. Of course the ZioMedia never puts the refugee crisis into the correct context, basically saying the crisis is caused by OUR actions in the Middle East.

The Zionistss push Europe and America to open their borders to these Muslim migrants, thus insuring Westerners will feel threatened by all these migrating Muslims, AND as these JUSTLY angry Muslims, lash out, it reinforces the Zionist created narrative, that Muslims are at war with the West.

All of this allows for MORE destruction in the Middle East, and continued destruction of social continuity in the West. A win win for the Zionist monsters.

    Everything makes Muslims angry.

Donald Trump expressed lukewarm support for the invasion of Iraq. And he is certainly lying now when he said he warned against it.

Unfortunately, the moniker can’t apply to once-and-possible-future-first-daughter Chelsea Clinton, who never considered a military career before collecting $600,000 a year from NBC News for essentially a no-show job. But anyway…

It's time to call a spade a spade.

I don't care about IQ test score psychometric jibber jabber and jibber jabber about the GD Constitution with a Pakistani Muslim Legal Immigrant.

A five year old White Female Child was gang raped and urinated on in Idaho City Idaho by three young Male Muslim Legal Immigrants and you want to have a Cuckservative Constitution Tard discussion about the intent of Constitution regarding Pakistani Muslim legal immigration to the US...are you insane?

Avery raises an excellent point. So do you (as always).

The Treason Class’s abandonment of the Constitution is a sharp sword to wield, especially in this time when the points you raise, the visible cowardice and grasping of the cuckservatives, and the uselessness of Republican Party are causing a lot of people to wake up to The Great Betrayal that the last 56 years of domestic American politics have been. If not 102, when one considers the damage done by that vicious prick Wilson.

Core principles must not be overlooked and it is precisely the point that ALL Muslims believe that no infidel law can be superior to their execrable shariah that proves that every Muslim who has taken the oath of allegiance in a naturalization ceremony is a perjurer and that NO Muslim can ever be a citizen in a non-Muslim country.

Without pointing this out Khan and his wife are just Gold Star parents. By pointing it out they are just lying, conniving, dissembling Muslims willing to disgrace themselves by dragging their son into the political arena.

I have been for Trump – but now I wonder.

Clearly this Kahn incident has changed American history – because of it we are going to have Hillary as president.

Maybe this is for the better – power in the wrong hands is very dangerous. A Trump with power may not be such a good thing. Clearly Trump cannot check his emotions. Clearly he does not have the self-control to censor his own mouth. He doesn’t get it - clearly he cannot raise his game to the big stage.

Trump is emotionally like Nixon – Nixon had an enemies list – how long would Trump’s be?

I fear that there would be a Watergate or worst in Trump’s future and America’s future.

We would do better to protest vote Johnson/Weld – they are truly non-establishment - listen to them - they are more center American then either Trump or Hillary.

I hate the Killary , so I tried to help Trump. But he is extremely dumb to preoccupy himself with petty issues that he thinks is going to please the criminal zionist jews, like repeating the zionist Jews false accusation about Iran.
He is making false accusation about Iran to bring jewish support where he never does. All the Zionists from the criminal tribe, regardless of party affiliation, are behind the Zionist stooge killary. He like Romney will be a looser for sure. If he does not understand that much, then no one can help him. He almost, like Sanders, the impostor, never talks about the savage wars, and never goes after the criminal pussy for waging and supporting savage wars where killed over 3 millions Muslim , including thousands of children. This is a racist act, this is criminal act, this is savage act where Hillary should be held responsible and be punished. She should be sent to Hague criminal court, ICC, not WH.

But he is so dumb, to go after Iran to please the criminal tribe of Zionists and their fifth column 'intellectuals'.
Therefore, it is waste of time to support a dumb person who does not know his own interest. An average guy against the criminal pussy can win easily if that person exposes the criminal nature of democratic party candidate.

Sanders was an impostor and a zionist, so Elizabeth Warren. Both like Hillary are Zionist pimps. Both never talk about the wars and killing of millions of Muslims by staging false flag terrors to invade country after country, because both, like Hillary, are Zionist servants and slaves. Both forgive the criminal pussy who is a wall street pimp, although both have gained 'fame', by posing as an anti wall street. Both are liars. They wanted to get attention, and found it easy to gain recognition using wall street in a society where almost everyone is a victim of the Zionist bankers. But both have forgotten their 'mission' not to abandon Israel's interest.

American people SHOULD NOT VOTE,. And instead, around the election time should stage protest in all cities EVERY DAY, and should leave ALL THE OPTIONS AVAILABE on the table, in order to kill the presidency of a mass murderer, baby killer, racist traitor who has enriched herself and her families by selling the benefit of the citizens to bring in millions of dollars for herself, and her family.

  • I am weary of any and all Americans killed or injured while participating in U.S. military (mis)adventures abroad being characterized as heroes fighting for their country’s national security. They freely join in these endeavors that mirror narrow and peculiar interests and groups that control American foreign policy at any given moment. America has never been in a war that it did not desire and even provoke. Patriotism, what ever rightful place it might have, is out of place here.

Trump needs to change his mode. The game has changed.

In the GOP primaries, he played as a wrecker. He was like a defensive lineman attacking the offensive linemen of the GOP establishment. He was attacking Neocon-Cuck Team whose quarterback was Jeb Bush. He kept on sacking Jeb over and over. And then he charged against the other offensive line cucks who didn't know what to do. Trump could play this way since he was right there next to the other candidates. They were squeezed close together, and he could flay around at them. Also, he has populist support on his side. He didn't need to worry about independents or Democrats. He could play rough and win.

Now, he's in the game of quarterback as well. He can't play so rough all the time. He has to be more artful and smart. It's not just close contact violence but about timing and seeing up afield.
But Trump is still acting like he is playing defensive lineman whose role is to mess up the offensive line and sack the quarterback.

He must realize he is now in the quarterback position. The media, the billionaires, the big institutions are the defensive linemen arrayed against him, and they are out to sack him. He cannot use brute force against them. He has to go for the artful dodge and feint. He has to look down the field and find his targets to throw the ball or run when there's an opening.

Hillary has a great offensive linemen setup because media, government, bankers, Hollywood, academia, and etc are out to protect her. So, trying to sack her outright isn't going to work. To sack her, Trump has to look for weak spots and go through the holes. He can't just plow through the center of offensive line. Too strong. Too much protection from top dogs of media and elite institutions.

Trump needs to be careful of missteps that are like fumbles or interceptions. He has to anticipate what the other side will say and do in reaction to what he says. He must look at all the angles. Since the convention, he's fumbled and got intercepted a bunch of times because he's still in boorish defensive lineman mode. It's now all about mindwork, footwork, and handwork.

It is now Roger Staubach time, not Dan Hampton time.

Trump should hit her over and over and over that she is a WAR CRIMINAL.

Trump wants to torture people and kill the relatives of terrorists.

He should show images of smashed cities and dead bodies and tortured victims as the result of Hillary’s policies

    Oh, yeah, that would work.

“Trump wants to torture people and kill the relatives of terrorists.”

Bad policy, but he still directs his ire at terrorists.

The problem with Obama-Hillary is they sided with terrorists and targeted entire government and nations, even secular ones that could easily work well with the West.

Why? Zionists don’t like those nations. Gaddafi’s financial plan for Africa rubbed them wrong way. Syria’s alliance with Russia and Iran pissed off Zionists.

The problem with Trump is over-statement. He’s wrong about the torture business though US has been using torture forever in reality. You’re just not supposed to say it. (US certainly tolerated its proxies using torture.)

    “Oh, yeah, that would work.”

The sheer wreckage of Syria and Libya are powerful testament to total criminality of the neo-imperialist US. Americans ought to be ashamed that they are hooked to Miley Cyrus and the Kardashians while their government is destroying entire nations.
Americans aren’t much different from Germans in Nazi Germany who watched silly movies and had a good time while the German war machine was making a mess of other nations.

Under Obama-Hillary, the War on Terror(dubious to begin with) has turned into a full-blown War with Terror against legit governments and states.

If anything, Trump doesn’t go far enough with this. While he should mention victims of Muslim terrorism in the West, he should have made a bigger point about Muslim/Arab victims of US foreign policy that should now be called War with Terror.
Hillary aided terrorists in Libya and Syria. She should be tried at the Hague.

Trump's right on trade, offspring, decay of America, and immigration.

Alas, he does not understand principles. He could skewer the Treason Class by pointing out that "comprehensive immigration reform" means amnesty and deliberate non-enforcement. Silence.

He could talk about the enormous and unconstitutional federalization of America. Silence.

These are huge issue but he doesn't harp on them, being too easily diverted by nickel and dime stuff.

  • I have been for Trump – but now I wonder.

He doesn’t get it – clearly he cannot raise his game to the big stage.

Trump is emotionally like Nixon – Nixon had an enemies list – how long would Trump’s be?

I fear that there would be a Watergate or worst in Trump’s future and America’s future.

We would do better to protest vote Johnson/Weld – they are truly non-establishment – listen to them – they are more center American then either Trump or Hillary.

Trump should hit her over and over and over that she is a WAR CRIMINAL.

1940 the US barred refuge Jews fleeing Hitler from our shores. In 1942 we locked America citizens by the tens of thousands in concentration camps because they were of Japanese descent. Now it is politically incorrect to even suggest that perhaps because of possible blowback from our bloody actions in the Middle East it might be prudent to screen or block immigrants from the region.

I agree with everything you wrote. I hate Hillary Clinton...words can't do justice to describe my hatred of Hillary Clinton. But Trump wants to go to war against Iran...which will lead to a confrontation with Christian Russia.

If Hillary Clinton is announced POTUS at 8 PM on Nov 8 2016...the next day Trump should use his billions to fund a Native Born White American Male in-the-streets-antiwar-movement that calls for the indictment of Hillary and Bill Clinton for War Crimes. This Khan the Muslim goes to show that hatred is bigger than hope in politics.

Just think. Democrats are all about homos and trannies. And super-Zionist Jewish billionaires and ghetto blacks. And also….. Muslims.

Khan says Allah is going after Trump.

So, Allah is now allied with Zionists and homo/tranny loons?

This coalition is held together by what? Anti-white-ism.

The HATRED of whites hold them together.

Hate is the greatest bond. Hatred of Nazis brought even American capitalists and Soviet commies together. Hatred of the USSR brought even American capitalists and Red Chinese together. Hatred of Iran brings Israel and Iran together. Hatred of Assad even brought US and Alqaeda together in messing up Syria.

Hate is one hell of a cement or PCement.

But paradoxically, the ‘people of color’ immigrants choose the anti-white position because they prefer to come live in white nations. Indeed, they prefer white nations to their own filled with their own kind. If anything, they are ‘racist’ against their own kind. They want to live with whites or under white system than with their own kind and under their own system.

So, in a sense, people-of-color immigration to white nations is pro-white. Immigrants prefer white nations and white rule. And they wanted to be accepted by white communities. They have positive feelings about the white world.

But some whites say Enough is Enough. And that pisses off immigrants.

So, immigrants aren’t so much anti-white per se. They are anti-white-who-want-to-keep-it-white. But they are pro-white-who-want-to-share-white-bounty-with-darky.

Immigrants see the whites-who-want-to-keep-it-white as evil and ‘racist’.

But the immigrants, in fleeing from their own kind, are just as ‘racist’. If they really believe in racial equality, why do they prefer white nations to their own? They must believe whites do things better and are more civilized and orderly. They must feel that their own kind only makes a mess of things.

The Khan episode is a Clinton master stroke. Since the Khans are a bereaved Gold Star family, and followers of Islam (The Religion of Peace [tm]), they cannot be criticized; they are the perfect sock puppets for the DNC. Also, Hillary can hide her poor record and lack of qualifications behind this family’s grief, as despicable as that is.

Why doesn’t anyone bring out Khan’s background? His eloquence in front of an audience doesn’t come from nowhere – he’s a lawyer accustomed to speaking and making an argument. They didn’t just find him – his firm represented the Clintons. Also, his firm is the legal representative of the Saudi government (the Saudi royal family) in the United States.

In the 1980′s, Khan wrote glowing reviews of books that glorified Sharia law, declaring it to be morally, legally and spiritually superior to all other laws. How can this man shake a copy of the US Constitution in our faces – he doesn’t even believe in the Constitution or support it. He believes in the superiority of Sharia law.

The most powerful people in the world are bringing the full strength of the American media down on Trump’s head. You knew it would happen, regardless. But the Khan episode has provided cover for other “Republican” politicians to distance themselves from Trump – and get closer to their globalist billionaire donors. I’ve never seen such one-sided coverage; if they’re not careful, they’ll overplay their hand.

However, Trump now benefits from the Republican project to construct a separate media and a separate social setting for their own followers. These people don’t follow the national media and regard it all as biased and suspect. So, we’ll just have to stay tuned. Trump is still in the game.

  • Anon • Disclaimer says:

Trump needs the advice he gave to Jeb Bush: More energy. He needs to always be on the offensive than defensive.

Also, when going on offensive, choose big topics, not small ones. Now, it’s the big time. Cute twitter posts don’t cut it. The regular season is over where you could lose some games. In the play-offs, losing means you’re out.

Trump should avoid petty issues and fixate on Hillary and break down her image.

To do this, Trump should expose her HYPOCRISY. Nothing brings down a person’s character more than hypocrisy. It is worse than mere dishonesty and crookedness. Trump should run on the meme of WHAT SHE SAID AND WHAT SHE DID. He should expose the stuff she said but actually did.

Trump should also play the HUMANITARIAN card. The Dems would have us believe that Trump is a meanie who doesn’t care about refugees whereas HIllary the humanitarian cares about them. He should show images of smashed cities and dead bodies and tortured victims as the result of Hillary’s policies that led to breakout of ISIS and Alqaeda.

Don’t bitch about it.

He should juxtapose images of Hillary’s super-rich donors with the images of ordinary workers facing hard times.

It’s down to Hollywood vs Hardwood. Illusion and Reality.

To show that he is the candidate of truth, Trump needs to FACT CHECK stuff before he says it. This isn’t regular season anymore where you can make gaffes and lose a few games. The playing has to be very tight.
Even if you lose some games in regular season, you can enter the playoffs in the NFL. But if you a playoff, you’re out.

Donald Trump expressed lukewarm support for the invasion of Iraq. And he is certainly lying now when he said he warned against it.

He saw this as a threat and warned: ‘Zionism is in danger.’” Israeli historian, Tom Segev, “The Seventh Million.”
“Even David Ben-Gurion’s sympathetic biographer acknowledges that Ben-Gurion did nothing practical for rescue, devoting his energies to post-war prospects. He delegated rescue work to Yitzak Gruenbaum, who [stated]...’They will say that I am anti-Semitic, that I don’t want to save the Exile, that I don’t have a varm Yiddish hartz...Let them say what they want. I will not demand that the Jewish Agency allocate a sum of 300,000 or 100,000 pounds sterling to help European Jewry. And I think that whoever demands such things is performing an anti-Zionist act."

“Zionists in America...took the same position. At a May 1943 meeting of the American Emergency Committee for Zionist Affairs, Nahum Goldmann argued, ‘If a drive is opened against the White Paper (the British policy of restricting Jewish immigrants to Palestine) the mass meetings of protest against the murder of European Jewry will have to be dropped. We do not have sufficient manpower for both campaigns.’” Peter Novick, “The Holocaust in American Life.”

Rubinstein, “The Myth of Rescue.
“What if Canada, Australia, South America, England and the United States were all to open a door to some migration? Even today [written in 1947] it is my judgement, and I have been in Germany since the war, that only a minority of the Jewish DP’s [displaced persons] would choose Palestine...

“[Roosevelt] proposed a world budget for the easy migration of the 500,000 beaten people of Europe. Each nation should open its doors for some thousands of refugees...So he suggested that during my trips for him to England during the war I sound out in a general, unofficial manner the leaders of British public opinion, in and out of the government...The simple answer: Great Britain will match the United States, man for man, in admissions from Europe...It seemed all settled. With the rest of the world probably ready to give haven to 200,000, there was a sound reason for the President to press Congress to take in at least 150,000 immigrants after the war...

“It would free us from the hypocrisy of closing our own doors while making sanctimonious demands on the Arabs...But it did not work out...The failure of the leading Jewish organizations to support with zeal this immigration programme may have caused the President not to push forward with it at that time...

“I talked to many people active in Jewish organizations. I suggested the plan...I was amazed and even felt insulted when active Jewish leaders decried, sneered, and then attacked me as if I were a traitor...I think I know the reason for much of the opposition. There is a deep, genuine, often fanatical emotional vested interest in putting over the Palestinian movement [Zionism]. Men like Ben Hecht are little concerned about human blood if it is not their own.” Jewish attorney and friend of President Roosevelt, Morris Ernst, “So Far, So Good.”

  • Fact: Western culture is at war, NOT with Muslims, but with Zionist Jews.

To that end, Zionists first pushed the west to war on Muslim nations (Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan). Zionists stage terror attacks, such as 9/11 to push their narrative of an “evil Muslim who is out to hurt us”. Then they use their media and entertainment industry to continue the “Muslims are trying to destroy the West” narrative.

If the US were to ban European devotees of a white supremacist pagan cult — such cults do exist, and the US has every right to ban its devotees if it so chooses — nobody would bat an eye. The First Amendment says that the government may not infringe in Americans’ religious choices; it says nothing about foreigners. If it did, it would be illegal for the US to give aid to Israel, Saudi Arabia, and any other nation that discriminates by religion.

Actually America did really well when having a mixed economy. Some things should be socialised, as in for the benefit of the greater society. Some things are better being run by private concerns.

The all or nothing idea that anything socialistic is bad is why Americans spend so much on healthcare and get so little in return. It makes good economic sense for the nation to have a healthy population and preventative medicine costs less than treating illnesses and it's moral.

Shouldn't banking be socialised for the good of society and the nation? If profit is all that's focused on then profit is all there'll be to show for it, and in a nation of fractional reserve banking, a fiat currency all run for private profit you end up with what the US has now, nothing but debt.

Wasn't the building of the interstate highways a social program, government funded for the benefit of all? Friedrich List stated that "essential infrastructure is vital to the well-being and security of the nation and is thus too important to be left to the whims of profit" which sounds like common sense to me and America prospered following his economic theories.

This mantra of capitalism = good, socialism = bad has been repeated endlessly by those who use capital to exploit people. America is quite unwell and won't recover anytime soon and not until a rethinking of the social contract is undergone but I doubt many will see it this way.

We also have one of the world’s worst and costliest Internets, even though we invented it. (The Internet was invented by the government, by the way. Socialism – eeek!)

Government kills people. Two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner.

Socialism works just fine in Scandanavian nations that are not killing people, like ours. They have high employment, strong Capitalism, and great social services. Try learning a little about the different types of socialism instead of the its-all-evil MSM brainwash.

The US, through coups, overt, and covert wars, has killed about 20 million people. Add the impoverishment of nations by “economic hitmen” and double that due to deaths from poverty.

Capitalism has never killed a single solitary person, not because it is virtuous but because it isn't really an "ism." Thus it has no organizational structure, no partisans, no means of action, and no ability to do anything.

That is also why it continues to lose to Socialism, despite the manifest superiority of non-Socialist, Western economies like what the United States used to have. Socialism, despite being evil, is at least a Something; Capitalism is a Nothing, at best a gentleman's agreement to not go full oligarchy (an agreement moreover which apparently is no longer in effect).

In order to combat Socialism what's needed is not a "market" but a strong ruler who wields a sword of justice to suppress economic gangsterism in all its forms. The free market, for all of its beneficial effects, is still really just a gift from such rulers. Free markets cannot exist without law and order.

100,000,000 deaths? Where on Earth did that come from? If you're going to invent a number, you should at least try to make it look credible.

If you're looking for an example of a capitalist death camp, consider how I. G. Farben and other German industrial enterprises profited from the Nazi death camps.

Neoliberalism is driving most everyone outside the financial elite towards the poorhouse.

    Are we having fun yet?

100,000,000 is low. The Soviets alone killed around 50,000,000, and the Chinese at least 70,000,000. The real number is closer to 200.

As for IG Farben and other German industries, it may have escaped your attention, but the National SOCIALISTS were not libertarians. National Socialism was and is a Marxist heresy, which replaces the concept of “class struggle” with “race struggle.”

Nazi atrocities were indeed bad, but slave labor is pretty much the opposite of what the free market is about.

And yes, markets are flawed in some respect — they do indeed create bubbles and are subject to boom/bust cycles. But, prior to the Great Depression, recovery from these periodic downturns (they called them “panics”) tended to be very rapid and robust. Only when the Hoover/Roosevelt interventionist policies were put in place did the Depression go on forever. The market may indeed have been responsible for the first year of the Great Depression. Hoover (who was NOT a free market guy) and Roosevelt made it “Great.”

idea that anything socialistic is bad is why Americans spend so much on healthcare and get so little in return.

It’s pretty obvious you know nothing about our completely socialized healthcare system. There is zero free market practice of medicine in America since the 1970′s and introduction of HMO’s. Further, since we bought into the idea of health insurance (socializing costs of major illness) while eliminating a free market for such insurance (no cross state competition), there hasn’t been a free market. Likewise, with Medicare/Medicaid setting price floors, no practitioners are selling competitively priced services. Our healthcare system is government run from top to bottom. We strictly limit the number of physicians in our med schools, strictly regulate the development and trade and distribution of medications, strictly regulate clinics and hospitals, prohibit competition in pricing, etc. Meanwhile, through our court system, we impose enormous costs at every stage via litigation. Malpractice is a joke with private clinics or practitioners open to unlimited damages and government practitioners virtually immune in many jurisdictions (capped damages as low as $250K). A typical example is a university healthcare system virtually immune to malpractice claims.

Yet despite all this, we still see people from countries with openly socialized medicine (i.e. Canada and Europe) coming here for care. Lately we have begun seeing patients going to countries like Columbia for both elective treatments (i.e. Cosmetic surgery) and for transplants where they would die waiting in America or Europe.

It’s just stupid to regard healthcare as a “right” open to anyone (citizen or illegal) and expect the same care regardless of whether it’s an indigent illegal or multi-billionaire private pay patient. We know, beyond any shadow of doubt, that IQ has direct impact on health. Higher IQ equals better self-care. Many whine at the “unfairness” of an alcoholic drifter not getting a million dollars in care for a chronic and fatal disease. But isn’t it just as “unfair” that he cannot live in a millionaires mansion with servants to cater to his every whim and a chauffeured Rolls Royce to carry him to the liquor store on return from dialysis treatments?

The Great Depression is the last thing free market loonies should be pointing to to support their idiotic theories. Compared to today there was virtually no government interference in the economy or in the markets. Hell, insider trading was legal. The well connected regularly ran legal pump and dump schemes. Yeah, the great free market.

The 1930′s were a predictable result of the vast build-up in credit during the 1920′s.

What entity was the fulcrum of that build-up? The Fed. Shall we argue about whether the Fed is a private or public entity?

Booms and busts have occurred throughout human history. They’ve occurred under monarchy, theocracy, democracy, and at every level of market-vs-authority on the spectrum.

They are a fact of human social behavior. Experiments have shown that you can experimentally produce boom-bust behavior in a lab using small groups of people.

If you think booms and busts are somehow something that can be eliminated (perhaps by eliminating money, or capitalism, or whatever) I guess you haven’t spent those 30 years actually learning anything about markets…or you’re a die-hard fan of EMH.

PS: The last 30 years have seen the largest increase in unbacked credit in human history.

Once again you miss the point because of your nonsensical rants. Your point was that only markets through pricing can allocate resources efficiently. When the country cannot afford to waste any resources like when the country is at war the first thing to go is a market economy. Why is that?

You insist on not answering specific points. Targeted socialism just wastes. Wastes. Wastes. Solyndra was the tip of a vast iceberg.

You insist on continually proving yourself to be a total dip-shit. Ask Boeing about targeted socialism and why they now have Airbus to compete with and will soon have Chinese and maybe Russian airliners in the world market.

    Last try:
War socialism still produces vast waste. You know this because a place as predisposed to prosperity as North America in the 1940′s produced, instead, widespread poverty (continuing from the 1930′s, which were a product of FDR’s socialist New Deal–which by itself caused a depression-within-a-depression in 1937.) You’re arguing that WW2 war socialism produced success. I argue that what happened was a system that could have produced 100 units of output produced instead 80, 40 of which were “invested” in the destruction of a war successfully (by the measure of historians) waged.

At the end of 1946 America was vastly poorer than it would have been had the US left Europe, the UK and the USSR to finish what was started in 1914. It’s entirely a different debate as to who won that war, but given that Stalin (the world’s greatest mass murderer at that point) ended up with half of Europe to rape and pillage, I don’t think it was the USA or Europe. Maybe the UK won the most, because for some reason they really hate their cousins in Germany. The outcome of the war insured the advent of the Cold War, the rise of the US Security State and the crap with which we’re still stuck (NSA, CIA, bases across the globe, etc., all of which cost a lot and keep getting added to the revolving charge account called the National Debt.)

And you want to rest on the notion that all this isn’t waste. Man, I don’t get that.

Your comments suggest you don’t grasp yours. Fools are certain where the wise are cautious, but certainty sells better than hedged hesitancy.

There is no consistent logic whereby a centrally-planned system (be definition run by bureaucrats managed by politicians elected by factions producing democratic despotism) avoids waste on a scale simply unimaginable. You promote war socialism as a “success” yet you claim I have an attitude? I’m simply asking you to be mildly consistent. Some people’s minds don’t work that way.

Ordering economic activity primarily via markets is not a libertarian monopoly. Ordering them via the state is, however, a statist monopoly. I look forward to you getting what you ask for, and I fully expect to indulge in more than a little schadenfreude along the way.
