From the New York Times: Morgan Freeman Is Accused of Sexual Harassment by Several Women By Sopan Deb May 24, 2018 Morgan Freeman, one of the most celebrated actors in the film industry, has been accused of sexual harassment by several women, according to a report by CNN on Thursday. The accusations ranged from unwanted...

As other posters here have said, feminism has lapsed into total incoherence: on the one hand, we're told that a pat on the butt, an inappropriate joke or even an overlong stare is enough to cause the average woman a lifetime of psychic trauma. But then we're also told that women are, aside from the obvious anatomic variation, no different than men, no more psychologically fragile or emotional and thus are equally well suited to become e.g. Navy SEALs.

Maybe I'm just especially stoic (doubt it) but 90%+ of this #MeT00 stuff goes under the heading of "who cares?" And most guys have experienced similar or worse (hazing/bullying, getting cruised, the occasional straight woman who just can't take a hint). Just one of the many minor indignities of life. If it's the worst thing that ever happens to you then consider yourself lucky.

When I first entered the work place I was taken aback at how brazen some woman were. They had a vocabulary that would make a sailor blush and it was all taken in stride. I think I got laid at every job I ever worked at before I went self employed…….now I never get laid……LOL ……damn I miss those days.

  • From the New York Times: Immigration is so often sold in the Anglosphere like this: as a way to revitalize depopulating small towns. Yet, immigrants themselves overwhelmingly prefer to flock to the big, expensive cities of Australia, Canada, and the U.S., exacerbating the affordable housing crisis. For example, when there was a huge energy boom...
  • “Immigrants Will Repopulate Small Towns!”

and because the government is paying them to be there they might just bring an economic boost…….since there isn’t any other jobs there.

This. New England is full of old mill towns where the jobs moved south after WWII and eventually, so did the white people. How to repopulate towns where there weren't any jobs? Local (((Chamber of Commerce))) types advertised in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, etc. to repopulate the towns with welfare recipients. (((Landlords))) were happy to have renters paying higher rents who they didn't have to collect from, the (((landlords))) would just receive a fat government check each month. The (((shopkeeps))) got shoppers with food stamps and welfare checks to buy their wares. There were plenty of government jobs to go around servicing these new "citizens". A lot of people found a gold mine in these mill towns losing all their jobs, not just the mill owners.

  • From the Washington Post, which is personally owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos: Progressives were outraged that the sacred American principle of giving a lavish government subsidy to the World's Richest Man was being questioned: How dare the President of the United States notice that the World's Richest Man (net worth $131.2 billion, up $64...
  • @24AheadDotCom
If Bezos owned Fox - even better, Fox 'n' Friends - almost everything would be reversed. Those now saying Trump is just going after a subsidy would defend it with what little they have. There'd be talk of trickle down, how many Amazon employs, how great Bezos is, etc. etc. Perhaps a pic of Bezos and Ted Nugent at target practice.

The patriotic choice is to oppose both corporate grifting (unless, all things considered, it helps the USA) and a dim, deranged, 71-year-old man-child who'd be like any other tinpot dictator given the chance.

Oppose WaPo? Great, so too do I at least on their immigration coverage. I've gotten almost zero help from those predisposed to support Trump with my many posts and campaigns that show them wrong. They only know how to enable someone who lacks the smarts and patriotism to show them wrong*.

*Weigel is a rare exception. Several years ago he smeared me on his site and refused to post my reply. That could have been used to undercut him to other supposed journalists, but I've never gotten any help with it. Why? See above.

“and a dim, deranged, 71-year-old man-child who’d be like any other tinpot dictator given the chance”

it’s really hard to take you seriously when you say something that stupid.

the very best thing about Trump……and make no mistake I realize he’s a blowhard……but the best thing is it’s exposing how insane the liberals really are…….keep this insanity going like ya’ll have been and you’ll be dealing with this man for another 6-1/2 years.

but the best thing is it’s exposing how insane the liberals really are

He is? To whom? Certainly for such a bold claim you can point to some sort of polling showing Trump moving the needle on something, right?

For instance, are SJWs less powerful now than they've been, or is their power increasing? Are FB & Twitter more or less willing to quash dissent? Is the MSM backing off pushing the SJW line? Even if you can't provide a poll, provide some examples of Trump having a meaningful impact on anything.

From my POV, Trump has made things much, much worse. He's coarsened debate even more than it was, making things even more WWE than they were before. He's served as a foil that the Dems can use to make things worse. CA Dem candidates are full-throated in support of illegal immigration because of Trump; if Trump were like MLP they wouldn't dare do that.

The fact is that Trump's just an entertainer. He hasn't changed any minds. It'd be possible to use his ego to make him help the USA, but those in his audience lack the patriotism to help with that.

    OT-

Michael Eric Dyson goes "in" on Jordan Peterson in a Munk Debate. I enjoy listening to Michael Eric Dyson speak, but he seems really worked up over Jordan Peterson. The Left apparently believes that Jordan Peterson is the second coming of George Lincoln Rockwell. It's all very strange.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp3fOBq0DN0

1:53 was all I could fucking take of that shit………WTF is going on? I’ve never seen such hate and resentment based only on other peoples skin tone.

This is not going to end well…….for any of us.

You beat me. I got to the part where the black guy was going on and on about how he's never seen so much "whining and snow-flaking". As if black "intellectuals" ever talk or write anything that isn't whining and complaining and bitching and moaning.

If you randomly grabbed a sample of something, anything, written by a white American, it could be a discussion of mountain climbing, better methods of accessing spark plugs in 70-year old radial engines, food reviews, travel ideas, etc. Countless subjects.

If you randomly grabbed a sample of something, anything, written by a black American, there is a 90% chance it is going to be whining and bitching and black black blackety black.

Maybe it's neither a "hate hoax" nor "hate hypochondria", but more like a hate scam or haxtortion, just another way to get at the big Star bucks. These stories get people angry on both sides; that's the real shame of it.

Anyone who's dealt with the regular Mexicans and other Chicanos around the country knows that they are far from fragile snowflakes who'd get insulted very easily. I believe none would take much offense in hearing the words "beaner" or greaser bandied about, unless one directed an insult to one of their faces, as a challenge.

We were on a big bean kick a while back, and I was at the bean aisle at the grocery store and wanted to know about a type of beans we'd never tried. Sure enough, a 40 y/o or so Senora was nearby. "Hey, you've gotta know about beans, right? Can you tell me something about these red beans?" Man, she went on for 2 or 3 minutes, giving me recipes and such that I was never gonna remember. I was still very appreciative.

You tell me, was that wrong?

you can tell the difference between a good Mexican restaurant and a great one by the quality of the beans.

I cannot cheer this book for ignoring any discussion of human capital.

It is well worth pointing out that during the height of (recent) migration crisis of 2015, Rosling went on national Swedish TV and claimed, without missing a beat, that this was a "glimrande ekonomisk möjlighet", which can be translated into "golden economic opportunity".

He was also extremely arrogant and dismissive of anyone who thought otherwise. So I am not surprised that his book is flawed in fatal and very basic ways. He was vastly overrated and largely typical of a neoliberal class which usually picks on the dumbest low-IQ ignorants in society (climate change deniers etc) while being essentially creationists on hbd and then patting themselves on the back, while conveniently ignoring more intelligent criticism because they essentially have no answer. His book is a perfect illustration of this.

It's also a reminder that we shouldn't overestimate the so-called intelligence of the current ruling class, given the gigantic flaws in their thinking (or often lack thereof).

Perhaps this memorial to the suffering of so many black people at the hands of so many white people will be a start.

Did you notice there are no women of color among your executives? Undoubtedly, this is because white women won't let them in. As a result, there are more white women executives named Mary than all black women executives combined. Pretty soon, that will be replaced by Olivias.

Frankly the companies releasing top grossing movies or companies that are in the Fortune 500, shouldn't be worrying about diversity. They should be worrying about results. If these executives were NOT producing or the directors were releasing box office bombs and these companies still kept the exact same white man as a CEO or director, that would be discrimination.

Don't hate on people who are good at what they do. Are you really going to suggest that these companies should go out and hire Marissa Mayer or Elizabeth Holmes? There are many talented women out there, but did the NYT do the work to establish that the pool of talent is equal or greater in size? How many MBAs from the top-10 schools (Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Yale, Princeton, etc) have gone to women over the last 30 years? How many female executives with any title of VP or greater are there in the workforce versus how many men? What percentage of female leaders have left the workforce at least temporarily to raise children?

These are the type of questions that should be asked as part of a serious journalistic investigation instead of this crass "Gotcha" journalism. Do better NYT.

That's a brutally competitive field, and no one succeeds in it based on any kind of privilege (once you become successful, there is a bit of privilege -- as I think Norm MacDonald said, you never bomb after you're famous). She's gotten less funny and more politically correct as she's become more successful in Hollywood.

Ok, well, I'm not just trying to be contrarian.

I'm being quite serious--theres an extremely competitive market for "best rapper" so, yes, I honestly think you should assume you're missing something in light of that fact.

Before anyone straw mans, no, Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer were never considered serious rappers by fans of the medium.

I'm not sure why this particular subject is so difficult for isteve commenters to see objectively--maybe just because they dislike the importance of rap (a perfectly reasonable opinion).

But...I've seen more than one person say they could do what Jay-Z and Eminem do, it's just "nursery rhymes", etc. Well, no, you can't do what Eminem does and the couplet you posted does not compare to why Eminem is respected as a great rapper.

Imagine there were some weird Bulgarian village dance culture--ok, everyone dresses up in medieval garb and there's some competitive aspect it. Now I might not know anything about this weird Bulgarian culture and I might think, "It all looks the same." But if every single person within the Bulgarian dance culture had a deep conception of who was the best and why then yeah, I'd assume there's something going on that I'm not aware of.

So, for example, here are two VERY famous rappers who have clearly thought hard about Eminem being better than them. If there's nothing to rap, how could these people who sell millions of records sound like it kills them they aren't as good?

"you notice in hip-hop, Eminem is the only rapper that, that nobody ever wants a problem with, including myself man. Eminem is like the most lyrically insane, even when I was going at 50, and you know and you know me and Dre wasn’t seeing eye to eye, man, I stayed away from the white dude, you know because he a problem, you know what I’m saying I understand it, you know I’m saying like Eminem I don’t think there’s a rapper he won’t slay in and you don’t even want to war with Eminem, you know he crazy.

    [Jayceon Terrell Taylor:] Source: LYBIO.net
Yeah Eminem is [crazy] – you don’t want, you don’t understand- I am a hip-hop artist and I am one of the biggest ones in the world, you don’t want a beef with Eminem – he shreds, he shreds MC’s like for real, and I ain’t his best friend or nothing – I’m just saying, I understand that he, you know he can’t be seen by nobody, Jay know everybody know, you don’t mess with the white boy…

For some people,” 50 Cent says, “it’s tough to accept that you have a White artist that does it better than Black artists.”

He goes on to say that Eminem is without a doubt the best and would slay anyone.

“Hip Hop is Black music, without question, and, unfortunately for some people, it’s tough to accept that you have a White artist that does it better than Black artists,” 50 Cent said. “It is what it is. You can get like whoever you think is the best Black artist and stand them face-to-face in a room with Em and he will eat that [guy] alive. Right now if you had ’em prepare themselves, whatever way they would have to prepare themselves to come battle…I bet what I have, everything. That [guy] is meatloaf.”

“It’s tough for me to say some of this [stuff] and not sound like a hater. But I don’t care.”

50 Cent’s old pal with G-Unit, The Game, agrees. A video of an interview from way back when, after the Recovery album dropped, shows The Game talking about Eminem and saying he is the one rapper no one in the industry wants a problem with, including himself. The Game says when he was having problems with Eminem’s labelmates Dr. Dre and 50 Cent, that he chose to avoid Eminem.

The Game, like 50 Cent, also brings up Jay Z in comparison to Eminem saying “Jay know” in regards to Eminem being the best, not wanting a beef with him and adds that he “shreds MCs.”

If there's nothing to rap, where would people get these opinions? Why would Eminem be obsessed with Kendrick Lamar?

    "

Eminem heard that Kendrick Lamar was the best rapper and he invited him to the studio to get him on a song," Sheeran says in the interview. "He arrived and Kendrick came with all his mates and Eminem said, 'I just want you in the studio, just you on your own and then my engineer is gonna come in and then record you doing it, but your mates aren’t allowed in.

Kendrick did it, wrote a sick verse, and then everyone came in to listen to it. Eminem said that he did it to test Kendrick because he thought he had a ghostwriter. He then realized that he didn't then claimed [Kendrick] was the best."

To his credit, Kendrick suspected what was going on. In 2014, he discussed the song's recording process during a radio interview. "He brought me out to Detroit, I had a show, and he brought me to the studio to do a hook... I go in, do the hook, and he's like 'I like the hook.' Then I'm like, 'Alright, cool, I'm finna dip,' then he says 'Think you could do a verse?'... The thing with Em which was crazy to me is he kicks everybody out of the studio... I took it as him kicking everybody out to see if it's really you writing those raps that you're writing."

such as blacks living in a “food desert” because they have to walk more than two blocks to a grocery store.

Turns out burning down the neighborhood has negative consequences.

Off-topic, sort of: a number of summers ago I had a pilot job giving sight-seeing rides and towing advertising banners at the beach. NPR's All Things Considered was doing a profile of summer jobs at the beach and wanted to meet with us as well as some lifeguards, bartenders, etc.

Pilots, even those with bottom of the ladder flying jobs, tend to be a conservative bunch. We decided to fight NPR's fire with fire and tell them as many lies as we could, and to make them increasingly absurd and see if the reporters would ever bat an eye.

We started out by claiming that a French guy that worked with us was a "freedom fighter" from Quebec down in the states "training" and raising funds but to please not tell anyone. Our French buddy had never heard of NPR but went along with it, nodding and looking furtively about for "intelligence agents".

We said that because of the "death-defying" nature of our jobs, we ate and drank for free at every bar and restaurant in town and if we went to a night club, the DJ's would stop the music and inform the others of the celebrities among them.

We told them that from the air we frequently would see White sharks, Orcas, and even giant squid cavorting among the oblivious swimmers.

We even told them that it was very important to frequently alternate which fuel tank was being used (fuel tanks are typically in the wings) because if one wing got even a few pounds heavier than the other, the airplane would spiral uncontrollably into the ocean.

It was several weeks before the segment aired (and presumably with plenty of time to verify some of our whoppers) yet all but one of our absurdities was included: they covered for the Quebec freedom fighter, as we requested.

“such as blacks living in a “food desert” because they have to walk more than two blocks to a grocery store”

People need to be smarter than they make us out to be.

The fake narrative used by Trump's controllers and supported by the compliant media, was that Trump pulls out of TPP, "fulfilling a Trump campaign promise, and supporting his anti-globalist credability.

THE TRUTH: TPP WAS ALREADY DEAD, TRUMP WAS JUST PRESSING THE RESTART BUTTON TO GIVE THE GLOBALISTS ANOTHER CHANCE.

Peopel simply can't be this stupid, they have to be paid bloggers who push these false memes.

Like Trump and immigration, instead of killing DACA, a REAL campaign promise, Trump instead kicks DACA to Congress to "get it right". Yeah, Zionist controlled Congress is going to get immigration right. DACA was created illegally, and a real American patriot would have just killed it, but Trump is a Zionist traitor, a product of decades of Jewish mafia dealings, a man who has no morals, and will do anything he is told. Even his tweets I am sure are scripted to give him a certain "crazy old white man" persona. There is a reason Steve Mnuchen is in the white house...

    Here's my response,

gun control advocates and those seeking to remove the second amendment have been clamoring to reduce the number of what constitutes mass shootings in their bid to gin up the numbers.

As is my press here, it's a safe bet to take the cues from the media about what is meant by mass shootings, three or even five are not really what is meant.

Intention of targets is really the key as is the nature of the relationship dynamics. Mass shootings are also include the randomness of the for indiscriminate hard. Those are the incidents that get people concerned about gun control -- I think I describe the type of scenarios and why they are unique to the issue of public concern.

Two gangs slugging it out over some petty offence or issues over territory doesn't really constitute what we understand as a mass shooting. we have understood that dynamic since cliques of competing interests were knifing and bludgeoning each other over old scores from the old world.

It is a crime -- a proper arrestable offense involving police -- for a white person in South Africa to hurt the feelings of a black person.
    https://www.amren.com/news/2018/03/vicki-momberg-south-africa-becomes-the-ussr-of-race/
The Momberg case has demonstrated that giving offense to blacks is a serious crime in South Africa. In the moments before her outburst, Vicki Momberg was robbed violently and her car broken into with her behind the wheel. Probably, the perpetrators will never be brought to book, while she was persecuted for her verbal transgression in a fashion reminiscent of Soviet “show trials,” meant to bolster the regime and instill fear in potential opponents.
The cynicism and schadenfreude of white liberals also fit the Soviet mold, as in this tweet by a blonde woman from Cape Town in which she looks forward to having her elderly racist relatives taken away from family braais (barbecues).

Easy lesson Merkel should have learned back before that Palestinian girl at the town hall. If you are hearing a Muslim child (but especially a girl) complain about something through mass media or in public, that's her family and/or imam using her as a living sock puppet. Muslims are shameless and self-defeatingly frequent in using their kids as political tools. This is how they took back Spanish North Africa. Remember Ahmed the Clock Boy, who invented suitcases, and whose dad just happened to be an activist? Islam is a censorious, silence-maintaining society. Nobody speaks freely, least of all a girl. Nobody embarrasses the family. These are people who kill their daughters for dating the wrong guy. It should be taken exactly like an accusation of rape from a North Korean girl impugning an American servicemember.

Lets not forget the little dead boy on the beach that the Media used every chance it got. And this boy died so daddy could get new teeth.

Oh come on..the woe is me white dude pity party is a bit much. Do you want to compete with SJWs for the Victim of the Year award or something? Yes, it's fashionable and "cool" in certain circles to act like white people are the evilest of evil and oppress the high melanin count crowd just by breathing and, yes, it gets annoying, I absolutely agree. But you know what? It is mostly just talk. Dragging up stuff from celebrity magazines? Who reads those anyway? Ignore it. Out of sight, out of mind.

If you immerse yourself in media "culture", yeah you will go insane and it already looks like some of you are trawling the magazine racks and online content looking for stuff to get outraged over. Remind you of anyone? Stop it. Go for a walk, spend time with your girlfriend, wife, family or read a book, shoot some guns whatever turns your crank. Joining the chorus of outraged "victims" hollering and shrieking about their "oppression" and the mean things people say about them...is that really where you want to go?

I'd say the biggest worry white folks should have is the abysmally low birthrate. Dog eat dog capitalism where people are too stressed and broke to even think about having kids and raising a family is a big part of the problem. Feminist propaganda telling women to prioritize careers is another one. Not many white people live with large extended families who could help look after the kids when the parents are working. And prosperity generally has a negative impact on the birthrate.

Turning that around is no mean feat but for the love of God do something, anything, besides whining and having a self-pity fest. There is more than enough of that already.

    “Who reads those anyway?”…..

Oh boy……I wish I could ignore this insanity that you speak of. I really do. But you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Aaron has ideological ideal syndrome (IIS). He's right about some things, though. China is providing an attractive alternative to western capitalism, which has fallen so far down the crony capitalism, oligarchs control the government well that it is drowning in a dying condition in which elected government officials feel NO responsibility to represent the constituents that elect them, choosing rather to legislate and act for the interests of their donors. He's also correct that it has to end, but it's disappointing that he uses such boilerplate Comintern language to describe it: "The working class needs to be educated to overthrow capital." Sorry to break it to you, Aaron, but that ain't going down! It ain't happening! His bits about the First Nations and the US Southwest deciding to form their own country or join Mexico are completely unhinged! Democracy! He keeps hammering on Democracy, with a capital D. Modern democracy has morphed into a joke! A comment I saw here at Unz laid it out so beautifully that I copied it; unfortunately, I didn't write down the commenters name, so I can't give him a shout out or hat tip. If it was you, fess up and take the credit. Here is what he said about US Democracy, where we can choose from the Democrats (the Left) or the Republicans (the Right).

"The Left abandoned the one good function they had performed, representing worker interests. The Right abandoned the one good function they had performed, resisting government expansion. Both sides ran headlong into every war they could find, many of which served the interests of a foreign nation. Voters turned out to be too stupid to stop all this."

There's Democracy for you, Aaron! Too f***ing stupid to stop the swamp creatures from gutting your country! The Chinese are observing where Democracy takes nations, and they are rightfully deciding that they would rather go to war than pursue such a foolish path. Back to where he is right: The Chinese alternative. The Chinese do NOT have a communist system anymore, but they certainly have centrally controlled economic, political and social systems. This may prove to be the correct path for their people, who derive from a different civilization and culture from the west. They have an umbrella, presently designated "The Communist Party". You are free to pursue wealth and happiness under that umbrella, but you must not stray from the area covered by the umbrella. If you do, you will be punished, possibly destroyed. Joining Fa Lun Gong or participating in non-Communist Party controlled independent churches is straying from the umbrella. Joining or starting labor unions that are not controlled by the Communist Party is straying. There is no doubt that this is not a free system, but there is great potential for success, happiness and FREEDOM in it. I know that sounds like a contradiction, but it is not.

Linh Dinh has cottoned on to a VITAL point, and this is a point that I would highlight and elaborate on.

"It has been pointed out that China can accomplish much because it’s not bogged down by bipartisan politics, unlike the US, but the real reason is that the Chinese leadership still has a nation-first mentality. They’re protective of Chinese identity and values, and feel, in a Confucian sense, that they can only justify their hold on power by doing what’s best for the Chinese nation. They’re nationalists, in short."

The Chinese leadership is like EVERY leadership of EVERY government throughout the long, ugly, beautiful history of mankind. They are corrupt; they abuse power; they enrich themselves and their families. We must get past this, and deem it a given! Now we come to the REAL question. The YUGE question. Besides the given, do they act for the benefit of their citizens and their nation? Linh has said that they justify their hold on power by doing what's best for the Chinese nation, the Chinese citizens, the 100 surnames. That is accurate. The US leadership, on the other hand, does NOT do what's best for the US nation, the US citizen.

THAT is why they must be overthrown, Aaron. They MUST be replaced with leaders who act in the interests of the US nation, the US citizens.

“His bits about the First Nations and the US Southwest deciding to form their own country or join Mexico are completely unhinged!”

Somebody isn’t paying attention!!! This is what he’s been taught his whole life. Sorry to break it to ya but the USA fucked itself right out of a country.

They took the colours too (green, red, blue, turquoise, violet, hazel, auburn, yellow...and every shade between). Perfect for hiding in temperate decidous forests.

Unfortunately, they took the trees too,

During the settlement of North America, potash made from tree ashes was exported back to Europe as fertilizer. As a result, less than one-quarter of original forests remain. Many forests are now small fragments dissected by fields and roads; these islands of green often differ substantially from the original forests, particularly along the edges.

I guess you aren’t too serious about posting facts as all I had to do was use google and in the time it took me to type this I found serious flaws in your “facts”……….but people don’t want facts, they want to spread the evil European white man narrative. "Empowering political majorities in Africa has helped, not hindered, the propensity of hostile masses to exact revenge on helpless minorities."

The whites in South Africa are hardly helpless. Perhaps they ought to go back. Remember, their ancestors invented the Invade The World, Invite The World philosophy. It's unfortunately a boomerang effect.

However, it would appear that statistics indicate that violent crime in South Africa is down.

    https://qz.com/1110367/south-africa-crime-statistics-violent-crime-shows-a-steady-increase-even-as-the-overall-rate-declined/

"It would be a mistake to believe, as the American ruling Idiocracy preaches, that minorities in the US—soon to form a majority—will relinquish race and tribe as unifying principles, in favor of the US’s constitutional design."

South Africa is not America. America is not South Africa. One could hold an opinion that American minorities, as a majority, could make mischief for whites in the future. Perhaps. However, whites could use anti-discrimination laws to their advantage.

"Like South Africa, America is a creation of (northwest) European settlers."

No, they were the creation of people who happened to be from Europe.

"And it is in Man’s nature to dislike those who are unlike him..."

That would depend upon a host of factors. It is not as simplistic as you make it out to be.

"...all the more so when they, as a group, have accomplished what he has not."

Remember how Europeans developed their colonies. By brute force. Sure, there were a number of benefits they brought to their conquered peoples, but the overarching ideology was the belief of superiority.

One last thing, I witness an accident years ago where the driver and passengers were speaking pretty good English to those of us helping until police arrived and then not one person in the car could speak English. I alerted the police officer of this as I was questioned and he just rolled his eyes and mumbled “that’s how it works in these cases”.

so, most immigration bills have a speak English requirement and I think that is a total waste of time as there is no reason what so ever to learn English in California.

    California is being balkanized.

California is being balkanized the better to control us my dear, said the Big Bad Wolf.

An even worse fate awaits us. Many of the better high and middle schools require the kids to take Mandarin. I guess the administrators know who our next overlords will be. The language in my California neighborhood is English and Persian depending on age of the speaker. 15 miles north of my neighborhood the languages are Armenian and English depending on age of the speaker.

5 miles east the preferred languages are Russian and Hebrew.

There are some good things about Mexicans or Latins. They tend to be reasonably honest small business people.

Best response to the "southwest belongs to Mexico" c**p is to ask, How many years did Mexico rule Texas? A. 14 years. How many years did Mexico rule California? A. 26 years. They mostly don't know the exact number of years. So you can add that America's ruled those states for 181, 169, whatever years.

But the best thing is to try to not have anything to do with them. Saks, Nordstrum, Boomingdale's and the more expensive stores still want English speakers. Gas tax was just raised 12 cents a gallon.

I am (was) an old-line football fan. You have to realize being head coach under owner Al Davis was different from being Vince Lombardi, George Allen, Chuck Noll, Bud Grant, or Tom Landry.

Neither John Madden or Tom Flores in their respective stints as Raider head coach was considered a heavyweight in the profession. Al Davis, not the head coach, made the call on drafting, trading, and signing players.

Being Raider head coach meant you had to handle more head cases on the field and in the locker room than a shrink, but had little say on who comes and goes.

I disagree, though not in the way you might expect.

Racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

There is nothing in this definition that would mean a member of any race can't be racist against any other race. Thus, the idiotic notion that "reverse racism" is racism against white people is utterly invalid.

However, a good many people, well, white people, today feel " prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a their own race based on the belief that other races are superior."

Though not the common use of the term, seems to me this really is reverse racism.

That’s an interesting take on the issue…..AND appears to quite possibly be true.

Since when has "racism" ever been a real word? It makes as much sense as "homophobia", which is obviously made up by some semi-literate, with political pretensions.
