From my new column in Taki's Magazine: Read the whole thing there.
  • @Hapalong Cassidy
It’s interesting that Ethiopia is the only sub-Saharan African country to have a noteworthy cuisine, or at least the only one to have ethnic restaurants. While it’s tasty, I wonder how much of it has been catered to American tastes.

And for what it’s worth, Ethiopian women are the most attractive black women on the planet.

Thing is, Ethiopians and Somalians look very different from other Sub-Saharan Africans. Enough so that I almost consider them a separate race.

And speaking of which, I’ve noticed Ethiopian immigrants don’t seem to anywhere near the troublemakers that Somalis are. Probably for two reasons; 1. We were more selective with the Ethiopians, never bringing them in as refugees, and 2. The dysgenic effects of Islam (i.e. Somalis are to Ethiopians as Pakistanis are to Indians).

Somali cuisine is better than Ethiopian, as it has more influence from Arab and Indian cuisines. They do have ethnic restaurants in the US, but not as many as Ethiopians.

The Ethiopian diaspora has been more successful in the US than the Somali diaspora, though, which is because the Ethiopians are Christians.

  • Last month I'd announced that I was adding a new Video section to this website, with a central motivation being the increasingly harsh ideological censorship that YouTube was beginning to impose upon its content, as had been originally announced last Fall. During the last few weeks, this regime of YouTube censorship has indeed intensified. A...

Seriously, the longer the Democrats talk about immigration, disclosing ever more accurately what's really on their minds, the better Trump will do with the electorate. Maybe Trump could arrange for...

Hispanic/Immigrant crime is vastly overstated by "race realists".

You are correct. Also, “race realists” are in denial about how much Trump is cucked – he wants black approval so he’s willing to look the other way at black dysfunction and crime

  • Here's a bike ride last fall through the homeless encampment along the Santa Ana River in Anaheim, Orange County, CA. And this level of homelessness in California is with the best economy in ten years. Solution: more immigration! The standard of living of homeless people appears to have gone up in recent decades to about...
  • Given the number of gangs in that area I’m sure the gangs could make genuine money by clearing the homeless out, and perhaps acting as death squads….just like in Latin America

And this level of homelessness in California is with the best economy in ten years.

Most of coastal California has erected serious barriers to entry to new housing, enough so that it would probably take a decade of deregulation to clear the market.

Correct. This is a consequence of super strict zoning

  • Maybe California could seize the Trump National Golf Club in Palos Verdes via eminent domain and use it to build housing for the homeless. It’s very easy to have land declared blighted in California and with a public purpose established the state could escalate its war against Trump. Given Trump’s defense of Agenda 21 and Kelo, and his refusal to let go of his company, he would look like a massive hypocrite fighting such an action.

"...What do you think is the solution? Is there a good country we can flee to?..."

No. We need to spend all our effort and continuously think about ways to get rid of the Jews. Peacefully if we can but they must go however. We must stick with one idea. One idea, the Jews must go, is very powerful and has the effect of focusing the mind on one function at a time.

There are many countries in the world with no Jews. Just move to one of them. Like Pakistan

It is not possible to be black and British.

If you are a British citizen, you grow up British, you speak English with a British accent, and you identify with British culture, you are British.

I'm ethnic British. My folks came over to the US in the 17th century, as well as later.

Nationality is rooted in blood. And I'm an "Anglo-Celt"; I appreciate the British Isles, not the former empire. The imperial worship and delusions of superiority as "uniquely rational and individualistic" is partly what has destroyed the English. Brits forgot to appreciate just being Brits, and they forgot the value of tradition and piety.

There were only two American's who could have pulled off James Bond. Gary Cooper for Sean Connery and Cary Grant for Roger Moore and they only could have done it for the 1960's or 70's.

    Cary Grant was British.

Ian Fleming thought Grant would be the ideal Bond, but by the time the films started he was too old for the role.

SSRIs DECREASE what the medical texts call volatility and irritability.

By volatility and irritability they mean a nasty grouch always ready to start a fight. They used to be called mean drunks.

So by decreasing the irritability factor the mean old grouch stops picking fights, bullying and generally being a nasty bully always looking to start trouble.

When I was a probation officer we saw a study done about murder victims who died because of fighting, not robberies or domestic violence.

The study discovered that these murder victims generally spent the hours before their deaths being aggressive bullies and starting fights. A lot of them went from bar to bar trying to start fights until they finally met their match.

I don’t know how reliable that study was.

I do know that SSRIs increases serontin in the brain. That alleviates depression which lessons volatility and irritability which are medical terms for aggressive bully looking for a fight.

SSRIs stop fighting, not cause it.

    So SSRIs cucked America?

I grew up in Detroit, and personally witnessed the destruction of a once-great city. There are a number of reasons for Detroit's decline that have never been explored or discussed.
    1. "Blockbusting" by greedy real estate agents. Real estate agents would send out postcards with the following: "A new family is moving into your neighborhood. If you want to sell your house, please call me at xxx-xxxx". A "new family" was a euphemism for black families, and was used to "encourage" whites to sell their homes.
    2. HUD (Housing and Urban Development) speculators and real estate hustlers conspired to "buy up" and raze the best houses on every block, in certain sections of the city. Quite often, "shacks" were left standing while decent housing was purchased by HUD and razed. This was done purposely to depress property values, to make it easier for speculators to purchase properties at "bargain basement" prices.
I realize that items 1 and 2 counteract each other and are at cross purposes, but they were a reality in 1960s Detroit.
    3. The 1967 riots did much to push whites out of Detroit. A little-known aspect of the Detroit riots was the application of spray-painted words on the exteriors of black-owned businesses. The words "soul brother" was spray-painted on businesses owned by blacks so that the "angels of death" (actually rioters) would spare them from destruction. Whole business districts around the city were destroyed, never to regain their former selves.
    4. The election of Coleman Alexander Young, Detroit's first black mayor, who was overtly racist to Detroit's white citizens while "getting along just fine" with the "movers and shakers" (big business people) of the day (as long as the campaign donations kept coming in)....
    5. The abolition of the STRESS (Stop The Robberies, Enjoy Safe Streets) program. This anti-criminal program was put in by mayor Young's predecessor and was quite successful in "cleaning up the streets" of criminals. In this program, police officers would disguise themselves as vulnerable old people and walk through neighborhoods as "decoys". Predatory criminals would attempt to rob these elderly citizens and quite often, were dispatched to "the great hereafter". One of Young's campaign promises was the abolition of the STRESS program as too many of "his people" were being eliminated. Upon the election of Young, the program was disbanded.
These are 5 reasons for this once-great city's demise.

Those laws were on the federal and state levels, and yet, they didn’t prevent resistance elsewhere. Even in San Francisco there was more resistance and reprisals than in L.A. , let alone in eastern cities such as Boston, Philly, parts of NYC, etc. The white culture in L.A. obviously had a defective element in it that did not exist elsewhere, or not to the same extent. It was too soft and Eloi-esque. It had lost its “street” element and so it is no surprise it failed.

Similarities Between Chinese People and Jewish People

Modern Chinese became aware of the existence of a Jewish people across the world in the 1830’s, following the Protestant missionary teachings and Bible translations.Since then, various Jewish stereotypes took form including how the Jews were victims of the white man just like the Chinese.
    [...]
The Chinese have no reason to dislike the Jews because they display the traits that they admire for themselves. A Jew visiting China will feel the affinity that is palpable thanks to the commonality of traits, a common attitude towards adversity, and life.

How a little-known patent sparked Canada's opioid crisis

    Published December 30, 2016
    Updated November 12, 2017

Once OxyContin was replaced by OxyNeo, a host of stronger opioids began flowing into Canada to feed that appetite, and organized crime filled the void. Illicit fentanyl began appearing on Canadian streets in 2013, just months after Purdue began withdrawing OxyContin from the market.

Fentanyl and carfentanil – a powerful opioid used to tranquilize elephants and other large animals – slipped into Canada from China, from manufacturers who shipped it through the mail.

Suppliers in China had figured out that Canadian border guards were prevented by law from opening packages weighing less than 30 grams without the consent of the recipient. That created a loophole to ship drugs through, using innocent-looking envelopes.

With fentanyl being 100 times stronger than morphine, and carfentanil many times more powerful than fentanyl, just a trace amount of powder could be sold on the street and do considerable damage.

The illicit drug makers also understood another key thing about their market – OxyContin was where it all started, and it was still in demand, even though it was gone.

So when they turned fentanyl and other powders into tablets, using pill presses similar to those housed at big pharmaceutical factories, they dyed them green and stamped each one with a small 80. The look was designed to replicate the 80-mg OxyContin tablets that were so addictive. It was, after all, what the market wanted.

In December, the federal government, in a bid to stem the tide of illegal opioids on the street, unveiled legislation that would give border guards more power to search envelopes weighing less than 30 grams coming into the country. And the importing of pill presses into Canada was also banned.

The Jews are to blame because they control the American government, and, certainly, the drive to destroy White Americans comes from the Jews. Where the drugs come from is just logistics.

I'm immediately suspicious of someone trying to make the Jews look innocent. We all know what they have done, for centuries... And they keep doing it.

After working over twenty-five years in substance abuse treatment and policy I'm convinced that there are racial differences in preferred drugs. BTW, the word I've heard in Massachusetts is that Negroes are ODing from the Fentanyl in "speed balls", a combination of Crack Cocaine and an opioid. Negroes managed to stay out of the on-going opioid epidemic for twenty-five years, from its start in the early 1990s until quite recently. I suspect that the Fentanyl ODs we're seeing among Negros are actually symptomatic of a reemerging Crack Cocaine epidemic within the Negro underclass. Thirty years is enough time to lose the communal memory of how bad Crack is.

And even more time has passed since the end of the heroin epidemic in poor black communities – forty years or thereabouts – which means there would be a similar loss of communal memory, and an end to resistance to getting involved with dope.

How exactly have the "best-behaved Third Worlders" "ruined" Los Angeles? Are they the ones who started the recent fires?

Being familiar with Los Angeles I would blame the white natives for having such a flimsy, super-liberal, snowflake culture to begin with that they were so quick to leave for a lot of the city’s problems. There was obviously something defective in the white culture there to begin with for it to fall apart so easily and for no one to be willing to defend it. Over-refinement and soft conditions perhaps? Definitely too much fragility. Obviously the whites didn’t think that what they had was worth saving.

    Smoking? Car crashes?

Those were two big activist concerns of the era, with the Surgeon General's report that cigarette are deadly coming in 1964 and Nader's "Unsafe at Any Speed" about car safety in 1965.

Smoking really geared up during WWII when the government handed out tons of cigarettes to soldiers, so maybe lung cancer really arrived 20 years later?

I imagine car miles driven and new freeway speeds were both rising in the early 1960s.

Also, there was a bad flu year in 1963.

    , @Krastos the Gluemaker
Infant mortality and the like overwhelmingly affect the calculated life expectancy numbers.

The metric is not just about "if you take a 60 year old person or something, how old will they live to be" even though average laypeople intuitively guess that's the number they are looking at. In reality the metric is a weird running average that doesn't intuitively reflect anything one would think of at a snapshot in time.

Subtle demographic effects by race etc probably play into the overall picture for the US in the present day too.

The past is a different country and all that, at least there aren't that many alt-right anti-vaxxers and so forth.

I'm actually optimistic on the overall outlook for this drug epidemic both from history and statistics; it will eventually slow down just like all other novel drug epidemics. Again as I've said metaphorically it's just like a fire burning through all its fuel. But then I don't live in a state where I could have personally heard of a lot of cases, they're just not around here, and middle-aged white women being disproportionate victims is weird if eventually truly confirmed (as opposed to the suicide rate just being counted wrong in the past and this just being an effective change of mechanism, or anything like that). So I'll keep an open mind.

What's annoying on the general topic is nobody has numbers straight; you have to understand the difference between numbers in a database and the real world. It's even common among the alt-right to argue about things like the Census can't even count the number of immigrants and illegal immigrants correctly, but if true this massively distorts things like death rates (there are more dead bodies, but there were more people in the first place not counted in the denominator).

Aye, and it's been no good for us either.

I was born towards the tail end of the 1960s, so I was but a sprout when the idea of no-fault divorce took hold, in California, and it spread, as so many California ideas have, across the fruited plain. I'm still not sure if I can really blame my parents' generation---divorce had been rare before, vanishingly rare, but it became a fad, like the pet rock, only vastly more destructive.

Of the people I knew in high school, I can think of only two families where the parents remained married. That's not just my friends, mind you, that's pretty much everyone I knew. Their parents divorced . . . and a flood of evils ensued.

Both no-fault divorce and abortion were first legalized in the US (in the case of abortion, relegalized) in California under Ronald Reagan’s governorship.

Both disruptive of traditional family patterns.

Yet no-fault divorce spread across the country with little controversy, and the states that resisted the most were not Bible Belt states (Mississippi and Alabama adapted no-fault divorce not long after California) but New York and New Jersey, which didn’t adapt no-fault until the ’90s.

Why didn’t the South resist no-fault divorce?

No-fault divorce has been a disaster. But take it from me, the charm of those Southern Belles can be entirely superficial, and matched with a selfish coldness that freezes your soul like a block of ice on a windswept lake on the coldest day of a North Dakota winter.

I don't agree that Jews are white. They may look white, but many of them don't identify as whites. Many Israelis, for example don't even look European, rather Middle Eastern. A lot of them would pass as Arab or Iranian.
I also don't agree with the "Nobody else at all" line. The US should allow white Europeans to immigrate, why should it close the door for Eastern Europeans for example? Just repeal the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, and go back to the policies before that.

The policies in place before 1965 greatly limited the number of Eastern Europeans while allowing unlimited immigration from Latin America and the Caribbean. I don’t think you want that.

"White Americans wouldn’t have a issue with Hungarians, Poles or Romanians coming here. They’d integrate quite well over time. We never had a problem before."

Late 1800's nativists referred to Eastern and Southern Europeans as the "dregs" of society, given their socialist and anarchist tendencies, as well as their vile Roman Catholic upbringing.

Alt Right leader Vox Days makes it clear that most immigrants should go back. He says "We've lost our knowledge of and connection to American heritage because many, if not most, US citizens are not Americans by any definition except paperwork. It shouldn't be surprising that Germans, Irish, Italians, Jews, Mexicans, and Chinese never had any interest or ability to transform themselves into the independent yeomen who historically existed only in England prior to the establishment of the United States by predominantly English settlers."

So, everyone, unless you are able to directly trace your ancestors back to the original colonists, the British, you are utterly undesirable, and you have to go back.

More from Vox Day..."No immigrant, or child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of immigrants, should have been permitted to vote or hold any office. Had the USA instituted such a policy, it might still be America instead of a multi-ethnic, white-minority idiocracy on the verge of crumbling into violent conflict and ethnic partition, as the ignorant public entertains itself by pretending to believe that Hamilton was either black or Hispanic."

Disqualify, disqualify, disqualify, to put into his vernacular. So the Carl Schurz's of the world are in essence barbarian, and hundreds of millions of Americans are essentially fake. We all have to go back.

So, Vox Day would prefer electing people like John Lindsay, Howard Dean, Elizabeth Warren, or Ned Lamont over Frank Rizzo, Joe Arpaio, Ted Cruz, Dina Powell, or Stephen Miller? Under Vox Day’s criteria, a massive part of Antifa would be more fit to hold office than children of immigrants who love America more than the native born due to their families having memories of life in more oppressive lands. Then again Vox Day would have America become an oppressive land if he or his compatriots ever took power.

Sorry, won't work. It would be contingent on having a white supermajority nationwide and in cities to enforce those standards. Besides, about 40% of whites would resist any measures as "racist". Jews would use their immense political power to thwart any initiatives.

You're still clinging to old conservative wishful thinking and paradigms of "one standard to rule them all". How will you impose discipline in black controlled Detroit, Trenton, NE, Gary, IN and E. St Louis, IL?

It's time to adapt to the new reality that integration does not work unless by brute government force and even then work must be put in parenthesis.

Blacks will never clean up their act and step up their game and become almost white in their life performances. Again, it's time to racially separate and go our own way.

Once blacks are forced to fend for themselves their death rates will skyrocket and their birth rates will implode. Heartless I know, but it's time to let nature go back to work.

It’s a lot more likely than any sort of racial separation/segregation. We’re too mixed now for that to ever work You’re still clinging to old school Jim Crowism and Plessy v. Ferguson thinking, but those sort of policies created the mess we’re in now.

If dysfunction is no longer subsidized we will have much less of it. As with anything else.

As for Gary and East St. Louis those are dying cities that are beyond saving. Even Detroir is salvageable but Gary and ESL are not. They will just continue to lose population until they are completely abandoned.

How is your tough love/one standard approach more likely to become reality? Try it and you'll set off race riots and lawsuits around the nation. It will be decried as white supremacy and Eurocentric.

There's already much de facto racial segregation around the nation, so my alternative isn't anything earth shattering or impossible. Jim Crow and Plessy v. Ferguson didn't create the mess we're in now. Jim Crow was working and Plessy upheld the doctrine of separate but equal. It was the Jewish communist long march through the institutions that turned everything on its head starting with Brown vs. Board of Ed. and gave us the elegant mess we have today.

Black and white people were much better off and race relations were far less toxic during the era when Jim Crow and Plessy were the law of the land.

Gary and East St. Louis are beyond saving because they are full of blacks. How can you salvage Detroit with it's 80% black population and make them all quasi dittoheads? Sure, we could stop subsidizing black dysfunction but that will only go so far and any attempts to do so will be met with riots, violence and lawsuits when you take their free goodies away.

America cannot be reformed so it's time to flush this nation down the toilet and start anew. The problem with boomer conservatives is that you keep trying to make elements of radical leftism, like forced racial integration, work.

  • @Anon 2
Al Franken's resignation is reminiscent of the
resignation of Bob Filner, mayor of San Diego, in
2013, on multiple charges of sexual harassment,
although the allegations against Filner were more
    severe. Bob Filner is Jewish.

At least on the West Coast there seems to be an interesting
trend which may augur what the future holds
in this country: Jewish politicians are being replaced
    by Asian politicians. Two examples:

    - In the 33rd Congressional District (Santa Monica,
West LA, etc) Ted Lieu replaced a long-term Congressman
    Henry Waxman;

    - In the Senate Kamala Harris replaced Barbara Boxer;

which brings an interesting question: are Asian politicians
(esp. East Asian) now perceived as more moral and less likely
to be beset by scandals than Jewish politicians? Or is this
    part of the Great Replacement?

In academia already Jewish professors are being replaced
en masse by Asian professors, esp. in STEM disciplines
    but not only.

Not just on the West Coast – Anthony Weiner’s Queens House seat, which Chuck Schumer previously held, is now occupied by a Chinese woman Grace Meng.

And the Chinese are supplanting Jews in the entertainment biz – in fact, after these scandals, I’d expect Chinese power to fully replace Jewish power. Not surprising with the studios falling under Chinese ownership.

The Jews came here from Eastern Europe (primarily from

Women, I guess. They seem hellbent on doubling-down on the same formula in 2020, and given the recent articles in the SJW-sphere, it seems as though "female" outclasses "black" in the Democratic Party these days. Though I wouldn't expect black males to start shifting to a position of neutrality, thanks to Trump's insanely stupid tax bill and going back on the "whole winding down the War On Drugs" thing.

You know, for all we talk about race, I occasionally wonder if gender isn't going to turn out to be the real fissure issue of the upcoming decades, eclipsing race. It's an issue that strikes me as more existential in a fundamental sense. A male from a different tribe is still a fellow male in the end, after all, when it comes to understanding motivations and cutting dispassionate deals.

Very true. And that’s what so many people commenting here get wrong. Prior to Ferguson and the last 2 years of Obama’s administration the gender divide was greater than the racial divide, and the sex panic is making it thusly again. It is easier to empathize with other males than feminists.

A wide variety of people can be found in any racial/ethnic group. But that fact does not mean that there are not often large differences in average behavior between different races. There is no reason why there should be some universal constant that is say the average cognitive level of every human population or say the average level of violent behavior in every human population. All these averages differ considerably among different races just as say average stature varies between races.

Different human populations are the result of different evolutionary histories involving biological-cultural coevolution which produced substantial difference in average behavioral dispositions of these groups. As a result people from different racial groups are often poorly adapted to living with each other and violent racial conflict is likely . These problems are often serious even in, for example, Jewish-Gentile relations where the genetic differences are far smaller than the genetic differences between whites and blacks.

Liberal compassion does not change the biological reality of human beings. Human beings are not fallen angels who are progressing to some fancied utopian society. They are the products of a totally amoral evolutionary process completely indifferent to all human hope or aspiration.

The amount of mixing that has gone on between different human populations in the centuries since Columbus has ended the notion of separate and distinct races that developed separately still existing today, even if they existed at one time. There are other reasons for America’s ethnic/racial problems than biological pseudoscience, namely cultural and political.

Oh boy do you have rose colored glasses. If you impose discipline in the schools and make blacks meet the same standards as whites that is racist and blacks will raise hell like always. So whites move away and build new schools until the blacks follow them and the process starts over again. Besides, there is intense peer pressure in the black community to be a gangsta and thug. Acting respectable is selling out to whitey. Most black men have no fathers and that's not going to change.

You act like pre-Obama murica had few racial problems and that black violence, dysfunction and indiscipline only resulted from eight years of his presidency.

    Separation is the only answer.

Standards of disc ipline in the schools have been on the decline since the early 1970s but Obama ‘s administration was responsible for “disparate impact”

If we dumped “disparate impact”, stopped giving into the demands of race hustlers, got rid of affirmative action, returned to color-blind standards, and punished illegitimacy, that would help solve the problem.

The minute we stop rewarding deviant black underclass behavior and demands we will get less deviant black underclass behavior.

Great Sermon by a Black Preacher -- BLACKS HAVE A PROBLEM - and it ain't White.

That said - Fred talks about blacks unable to suppress harmful urges or understand even horizons.

    In plain English -

Those with an IQ below 90 cannot participate in self governing Democracy. Deficiencies include, but are not confined to -

------Inability to stifle harmful urges [ theft, crime, self destructive behavior]

------Cannot defer gratification [ entitled Black Athlete steals on impulse]

------Cannot resolve conflict without violence [ crime stats in every black city]

------Don't comprehend the concept of "event horizons" or "intermediate vs final ends, goals"

So Far - Fred is on the money because the mean IQ of blacks is 80 - 85.

What he fails to address is his BELOVED MEXICO and parts south - are inhabited by 600 million peasants with a mean IQ of 85.

Mexico is corrupt to it's core - racist to its core - and the stratification between dark, Indian low IQ Mexicans and the more educated but equally debased ruling white class... is, well, IQ.

The Mexico of Fred's affection is the elitist enclave where he lives among the lighter, brighter, who we see on LATIN TV, the weather channel, and in beauty contests.

Latin America has all the same problems as we do with race - and does NOTHING to advance the interests of those on the bottom rung -- they ship em HERE.

It's hard to respect Fred's insight when the log in his eye came out of his bedroom.

It’s not IQ. It’s the failure of the unionized educational system, it is illegitimacy, it is welfare. and it is the general erosion of standards.

No matter where one lives, as soon as you go to the downtown, there they are, ready and eager to glare, to block your way on the sidewalk, intimidate, insult, sometimes assault, and generally enjoy making your life fearful and miserable.

  • @Gene Su
I'm going to repeat here a request I had in some previous blog postings: I would seriously like someone to pen an essay dealing with WHY so many whites (or non-blacks) are fooled into thinking that there is no black underclass problem. A lot of "race realists" think that the problem solely rests with the media and educational sector pushing "critical race theory" (i.e., hiding crime committed by blacks). I think that is just the "icing on the cake". I have written this previously: The real problem lies with America's social structure and its public schooling policy.

Most whites have ZERO contact with the black underclass. You can live in a city like New York, Newark, or Philadelphia all your life and not have any contact with the thug sector. Unless you are a cop or social worker, your daily routine will probably not include interaction with them.

It has been noted by many that America's public schools are far more segregated than we would like to admit. Some of the most segregated districts are in northern cities like New York. That means that any bullies, punks, and thugs that your white child will be victimized by in school will not be black but white. Ilana Mercer ranted in an interview with Tom Woods about violent black kids attacking white kids in public schools.

So what? When I, an Asian, attended public elementary school, I was attacked several times by several white punks (one Italian and one Irish). I also remember the teacher threatening to punish me when I tried to stand up for myself. I remember the librarian throwing me out when the white thugs would gang up on me in the library. Does that mean that I'm going to hold a grudge against white people all my life? Of course not. I'm also not going to say that whites commit more thuggery than blacks. However, my experiences have cause me to be skeptical of some of the wilder stories published by Jared Taylor, Colin Flaherty, and other race realists.

What these people are being deceptive about is NOT about how violent the black underclass has become. What they are trying to hide is that white youth are in danger of going the same way. I knew a white thug (who I admit was a "wigger") who beat a kid senseless with a tire iron. Nicholas Stix and Jim Goad have written about blacks who cheat on their exams and being let off the hook for heavy disciplinary infractions. I have dealt with many whites who also have cheated and gotten away with it. American schools don't have a race problem. They have a discipline problem spread across all races. Maybe it's not spread evenly but it has pervaded all communities.

Of course they hide how dysfunctional American whites are becoming, because if you haven’t figured it out already HBD and “race realism” are just about building whites up and denigrating every other group. It’s the white nerd’s equivalent of “we were kings and queens in Africa” The prohlem does lie essentially in the schools. More discipline in the schools – something the Obama admijnistration virtually eliminated – would solve a lot of problems.

Recently visited NYC staying in Riverside accessible by pricey Metroliner from midtown and also accessible by subway. So I took the subway. I also took the A train subway to JFK airport and to check out Broad Channel housing. Yes, the subway is where one can check out the deportment of groups of black kids and likewise groups of white underclass kids. Loud, yes, but IMHO sufficiently domesticated by NYC schools to maintain acceptable behavior standards when on the subway and posing no threat to others. Of course this is merely anecdotal but suggestive. I suggest that the takeaway from this "evidence" is that it is easy to exaggerate and stereotype black behavior. I have a public library recall for Scoreboard, Baby and look forward to the vicarious pleasure of reading about bad behavior of black university athletes.. Public behavior in America historically has been raucous and riotous. As the majority white Americans grew more civilized, American negroes enfranchised post the Civil Rights '60s are keeping up the old American wildness. Another anecdote: a friend who grew up in Germany came to Kentucky when 14 years old. He told me he was quite taken aback by the rough behavior of American kids compared to behavior of German kids. Another anecdote: a friend who grew up in Greece reported how impressed he was by the way American kids could self-organize, playing sports where the individual team members could seamless change teams and automatically correlate with their new teammates. In Greece, he said, team play would immediately collapse in unresolvable argument about the outcome of each play. When it comes to politico-ideological viewpoints, it is easy to succumb to exaggeration.

That’s true. Too many people downplay white dysfunction.

Whites only became domesticated after a ton of liberal social engineering, which blacks were not subjected to. With underclass social dysfunction spreading in the white community and underclass problems that have afflicted the black community increasingly affecting the white community (albeit with less violent crime), this social engineering is being undone.

Of course, Denver used to be overwhelmingly white, but the change from that to what it is now was not deemed to be an instance of ethnic cleansing, as the current gentrification is.

What fraction of Denver's hideously white population are California exiles, who left the old country because it had been ruined by liberal policies, and are now busy instituting the same policies in their new home? A not insubstantial fraction, I would guess.

It appears that part of the change in Denver’s demographics had to do with busing. (Were there any US big cities that were not declared segregated by the federal government, after de facto segregation was labelled as forml segregation by the Nixon administration?)

The companies paying consulting fees to Villaraigosa must think of them as call options on his future political prospects. The surprise isn't that they're paying him, but that they're paying the former mayor of America's second largest city that little. By way of comparison, Rudy Giuliani made >$11 million in one 13-month period.

I can't imagine anyone paying Gutierrez too much, as his political prospects seem slimmer than Villaraigosa's. Villaraigosa could theoretically become governor of California, or a U.S. Senator representing it, but what shot does Gutierrez have at becoming a Senator or governor of Illinois?

Villaraigosa isn’t going to move up to any elected political office. California hates Los Angeles even more than it hates Trump.

  • @Intelligent Dasein

Any bets on how much longer it will take for the “ACKSHUALLY, sexual harassment isn’t all that bad” articles to start appearing?

Unfortunately, just such essays, articles, and comments have been regularly appearing on the Alt-Right since its inception and they continue unabated to the present day. The whole PUA/Manosphere is basically one long commentary on the theme that sexual harassment isn't all that bad. This attitude, for whatever reason, has significant traction with Alt-Right types who now, if they were to be consistent, find themselves in the uncomfortable position of having to play down actions such as those by Al Franken and the demonic Harvey Weinstein.

But anybody who defends the idea of an unchecked animal sexuality as natural, wholesome, "chthonic," or as a defining feature of good men, is quite far from the spirit of truth. There is no sense in striking the last restraints off an already unruly libido; you're playing with fire if you do. The entire emphasis of any movement that wants to call itself "Right" needs to be not on the merely natural, but on the struggle to perfect the natural so that it becomes the human and the divine.

It should never be considered okay for any sort of overtly sexual behavior to be displayed in public. It should never be considered okay to grope the female staff, and that goes for Don Draper as well as for Harvey Weinstein, John Conyers, and the mook from Joysey. I don't care how "alpha" the guy is. I don't care if the groping was consensual or not; in fact, if it was consensual that is only adding sin to sin. The bottom line is that it shouldn't be happening.

At the bare minimum, there needs to be sense of manners and restraint. The workplace is there to do work in, not to function as an ersatz brothel. If you fancy one of your coworkers and would consider her as a partner, you should ask her to go out with you after work, not turn the office into a place of innuendo and sleaze. Chaos will ensue if men and women have no place to go to be free of sexual tension and competition.

Most people don't mind the game as long as they think they are winning it or have a chance to win it, but if these recent revelations have taught us anything it is that nobody really wins in the end.

I don’t think you fully grasp how the Alt Right differs from other right wing movements of the past and present – the “Alt” stands for throwing off restraints and taboos, and decent moral behavior is considered being a “cuck”.

No, it was the ACLU. They went judge shopping and finally got some judge to declare mental illness a lifestyle choice, or something, and made it much harder to both keep and commit people to mental institutions. The idea was these people would all show up at local clinics and get their meds. Up into the 1960s, some 1/3 of all hospital beds were in mental institutions, so states were happy to off load these people and their cost. The movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest helped in a big way. Now we have a multi-billion dollar homeless industry.

It was Reagan as governor who signed the Lanterman-Petris Act, written by conservative Republican Frank Lanterman of La Canada and liberal Democrat Nick Petris of Oakland. But anyone who was governor of California at that time would have signed it. Clearing out the mental hospitals had support across the political spectrum. Back then California was seen as a pace-setter for the whole nation, so other states copied it. There was no political capital gained in opposing it (much like the ’65 immigration law which also had universal support across the political spectrum)

The Colorado River is an essentially American part of our natural heritage and the Bureau of Land Management is charged with taking good care of that legacy. Whether or not it can be listed as a plaintiff, citizens should be demanding that it be kept healthy and free for our posterity just as we demand that it is our posterity that inherit it.

I'm good with this. Are you good with no more fresh, year around produce? Because that's what it would take to return the Colorado to it's normal state. CA agriculture sucks down the Colorado so you can have year around lettuce and cucumbers. Also they use a lot of water to grow grapes, which then use the CA sun to dry into raisins.

Fascinating personal antidote: My college chemistry class wanted us to write up plausible energy alternatives. My lab partner choose..I kid you not...raisins as a source of energy. because the work is mostly done by hand, at a higher than minimum wage .

The first thing you'd have to do turn raisins into fuel is re-hydrate them, another stunning moment of efficiency. Oil would have to also be some obscene number per barrel to make even vaguely economical, which I've long forgotten. Just be grateful my lab partner was not in charge of our energy policy.

With the Colorado returned to its natural state meaning no more year round lettuce and cucumbers, illegal immigration would shrink rapidly to low, managable levels. You’d pretty much end the rationale for open borders.

Not to be pedantic but Wilt claimed 20.000 , not 2000.

Even 2000 women would put Wilt in the top .0001 for conquests of women by heterosexual males. I've known several world class horn dogs and none of them went many more than five hundred even after sixty year careers. My own father admitted to about eighty, when he neared his death. He considered that to be a hell of a lot, and for a normal male without massive celebrity it is.

However, 2000 men by a homosexual male was fairly common at one time. It's probably still not really rare at all.

In 1919 they were passing Constitutional amendments like they were going out of style. Would we even be capable of passing one right now? Nobody seems even want to open up that can of worms, which suggests the flexibility of the Constitution has already gone missing.

In 1919 all of the Supreme Court Justices, Congressmen, and nearly all Americans were Constitutional originalists. If you wanted to make a profound change to the rights the Constitution granted, like say giving women the right to vote, you had to pass a Consitutional Amendment.

Today, however, most Americans, most Congressmen, and most Supreme Court Justices subscribe to the bogus concept they've been raised on that the U.S. Constitution is a living document. Now instead of passing an Amendment to grant a right not listed in the Constitution Supreme Court Justices merely read that new right into the supposedly living document.

In that way the Constitution is not less flexible, it's far more flexible. That's a bad thing. The Constitution's drafters intended the amendment process to be exceptionally difficult to preserve the integrity of the original Constitution. Now five Justices merely read their political leanings into the Constitution and that becomes legal precedent that Congress and Americans must follow.

In 1919 living constitutionalism had already established a foothold on the Supreme Court, via Lochner v. New York and “economic due process” . It was just used for ends that progs today would disapprove of.

How much, btw, did the Occupy Wall Street movement create the alt-Right today?

I remember watching those filthy, smelly, dirty hippies and mentally challenged freaks and rapists take over park after city park around the country and law enforcement did nothing. Heavy Metal is pretty white, although that wasn't always the case. Zeppelin, Sabbath, and Deep Purple, widely considered as the inventors of Heavy Metal, were heavily blues influenced. Judas Priest, who followed shortly after, were the first Metal band to completely strip away the blues element. Most of the more modern Metal acts have tended to follow the Priest model.

Actually, despite the nonsense you often hear from anti-immigration sources, Anglos and Latinos/Mexicans get along perfectly well in California, probably better than the Irish and Italians did in New England 50-60 years ago.

I would amend that to say Anglo's and Latino's get along perfectly well, until they don't. Under pressure, racial groups default to their tribes. Especially Mexicans. They can turn shitty quite quickly. The fact that a now significant number of Mexicans are turning to the Muslim religion is very bad news.

Also, why travel to the east coast to highlight class disdain? If you're old enough to remember, Southern Californians HATED Arkies and Oakies back in the day, for good reason. A few moved into our adjoining neighborhood when I was a kid, and all were horrible without exceptions. Drunks, not married, welfare cases with 5 kids who burglarized homes in their spare time. Arkies were worse, and that's saying something.

One other point, a lot of these Oakies never assimilated. They just died early of dead livers, got shot in the face, or died in prison. California didn't work out for them. A newer resident would never have known they were here. When they were here, everyone knew it. I wouldn't refer to them as a successful assimilation story. Californians did what they were legally allowed to eradicate them, and we still enjoy our success today.

And by eradicating them, California lost its tradition of country music, which wound up even influencing non-Okies like Ricky Nelson, John Fogerty, and Jerry Garcia, who adapted the musical styles of their Okie neighbors growing up. The disappearance of the Okie and Arkie from coastal California may have impoverished California rock and roll, and eventually killed it.

In any case, they were just replaced by Mexicans, who, as it was, they often coexisted with.

Not compared to a man. But she is more masculine than your average woman, which is why she got to be a model. Attractive women should be more feminine than average, by definition.

That's what I mean when I call these women masculine. Their features are on the masculine end of femininity. In cases like Gisele, they are on the extreme masculine end, bordering on looking like a transsexual. That's not the case with Melania.

Meanwhile Christie Brinkley, Elle Macpherson, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington, Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and pretty much every other top model from the era indicate that you need new spectacles, or something. Sorta like how Bill Clinton married for power.

I’m not sure luck had all that much to do with it. It sounds like Salma outmaneuvered supermodel Linda Evangelista in competition for the French billionaire. It’s a little like saying Tom Brady lucked out in marrying his spouse.

Trump would have gone for the 5'9 Evangelista over the 5'2 Salma....

Another reason to vote Trump: his private life shows that he believes in eugenics...

Fox Hills CC shut down around 1960 and some of the land may have become the Fox Hills Mall. Here's an authoritative article on lost Los Angeles golf courses:

    http://articles.latimes.com/2003/feb/20/sports/sp-lostcourses20

Southern California lost a lot of golf courses due to overbuilding before the Depression and then the exigencies of WWII: It's December 8, 1941 and you're looking around for some big expanses of land to build military facilities and golf courses that haven't had much business since the Stock Market Crash of 1929 are obvious choices.

For example, the Ojai Country Club got turned into some sort of military training facility, and then the golf course was rebuilt after the war. But the most famous hole by George Thomas, the spectacular par 3 sixth was forgotten. Decades later, Ben Crenshaw visited and asked the staff what had happened to the 6th hole depicted in Thomas's book. They gave him blank looks. Crenshaw went looking for this hole and he found its remnants out in the brush. It has since been rebuilt:

On the other hand, we won the biggest war in history, constructed Hoover Dam, made brilliant films (Citizen Kane, Red River, The Searchers, The Wizard of Oz, Philadelphia Story, etc), wrote excellent novels (The Great Gatsby, The Sun Also Rises, Absalom, Absalom!, The Maltese Falcon , The Big Sleep, Guard of Honor, Light in August, The Professor's House , etc), invented the transistor, broke the Sound Barrier, created the Interstate Highway System, launched the Space Program, etc, etc.

Plus, 1924-65 was an epoch of maximum Asabiyya in the USA. It's been nothing but downhill ever since.

As America had very few Muslims during 1924-65, one could hardly say it had Asabiyya. Thankfully, it had none. Just like it had no jihads and no Sharia.

Due to the US alliance with Saudi Arabia, I think we’d have problems with Islamists even without a ’65 immigration act. Up until 9/11 the US government routinely ignored immigration laws when it came to Saudis anyways – they could pretty much get away with anything. To avoid those problems there would have to have been a Soviet takeover of the Arabian Peninsula or at least a takeover by some pro-Soviet regime like in Iraq or South Yemen, with the Sauds overthrown. That would also have meant we’d have gotten our act together on energy much earlier than we did, which would have been beneficial for the US economy, and which would have made for a more functional society. Would’ve also meant a richer, more functional Mexico, so less illegal immigration to the US.

The new states in California that do NOT include LA or SF could also have a zero sales tax and/or lower excise taxes. Those new less-left States would draw millions of repeat shoppers every weekend over the new state lines from heavily, heavily taxed LA and SF, to buy electronics, clothing, shoes, and the old reliables, alcohol and tobacco and gasoline (and perhaps marijuana).

And without voters from outside the LA and SF areas to somewhat moderate those city-states, taxes would likely become much higher. Imagine a gap between 10% or 12% or higher sales tax in LA and SF and zero sales tax in "East California" or "North California."

So many reasons, cultural and economic, why we need this fascist/socialist/anti-small-business/anti-white/anti-Christian/anti-asian monstrosity known as the State of California to break up into more manageable, more responsive, more representative pieces.

The parts of California that are not lost and which still preserve the old California spirit and society are too far from L.A. for any sort of commuting to take place. Also, SoCal’s economy is a basket case. Not only would no 1924 Immigration Act mean America could have taken advantage of all that European talent, but it would have meant a much whiter America. Every city in America would be majority white today with the possible exception of DC. Neighborhoods like Steve’s family’s home turf of Austin in Chicago would still be safe places. America would have much lower crime, and much less gun violence. It would have also meant less nonwhite immigration nowadays.

    Jeez, more in-numerate nonsense.

One thing i enjoy about going to iSteve is not just Steve but most of the commenters are at least marginally numerate and logically minded and while we disagree about the sociology of this or that group or this or that policy, generally the discussion is orders of magnitude more rational than the innumerate nonsense that emanates from these Ivy League BAs who control the national conversation.

    Your innumeracy:
The US of 1960 was about 90% white and 10% black. Indians, Asians, Hispanics were essentially noise--1%.

To move that say 5 points to 95% black--without just conducting a black genocide--requires ... *doubling* the white population of the United States.

This is very well understood by anyone who is "numerate". It's very very hard to move up the percentage of something that is already at a high percentage. Doubling the percentage of something with a small percentage is relatively easy--and scales directly. For instance if you have 3% of widget market, doubling your sales gets you--assuming others remain the same--roughly 6% of the market. Doubling your sales when you have 90% does not get you to 180%, it gets you to about 95%. And it is *wildly* harder to do.

Even without the 1924 Immigration Control Act, we would not have gotten a lot of immigration in the 1930s because our Great Depression was about the worst. (And if we didn't have immigration control before we'd certainly have gotten it then.) There was actually net emmigration from the US during some of the early years of the Depression. (We didn't even fill the quotas.) Perhaps in the immediate post-war we'd have taken in more people from Europe--there were hundreds of thousands. At the very max open immigration during this period and you'd be talking about maybe 10 million people and some like number of descendants. This would alter the white percentage by at most maybe 5 points. Barely on the cusp of noticeable. Essentially no affect on what you'd perceive about demography from driving around your neighborhoods or cities. Utterly swamped by the magnitude of post-1964 demographic change we've seen.

The reasons for the falling white percentage of the population are
-- relatively higher black fertility; due in part from welfare; which has declined to replacement post 90s
-- lower, sub-replacement, white fertility, due to all the cultural and economic changes (especially feminism and female careerism)
    -- and--far and away the biggie--massive non-white post 1964 immigration

If you want to live in a white society--and i do--then you need to tackle those causes. Most of all *stop immigration*. Then ideally get some black nationalism, Hispanic nationalism, white nationalism going and find a way to separate.

Ultimately, you're going to have to recover white "mojo"--have whites *care* about preserving their race and culture.

With more immigrants coming in from Europe there would be no need to import labor from the Southern US. Thus no great migration. And no white flight.

The 1920's immigration policy was a bad idea in retrospect. Absent its passage, probably another 300,000 or so Jews would have come from eastern europe in the 20's and 30's and perhaps another million in the 1940's. Of that ~1.6 million, probably 1 million were killed in the Holocaust.

WWII would have also been at least a little less vicious if some of Europe's excess young people had come to the USA. And we would have defeated Nazi Germany sooner if we had greater manpower and Germany had fewer human resources to exploit for its defense.

Y'all are wasting your breath. For this crowd, it was all worth it if it kept one more Joo out of America. They're not founding stock, you see.

  • Mail arrives in my inbox all the time, telling me that by going to Mexico I have sold out, fled, abandoned the United States. I’m a coward and a traitor, just like Lord Haw Haw, and Kim Philby, and probably hate America more than Barack Obama does. It is is irrational. They think that just...

"Most of the Mexicans that live around me in this part of California remind me of 1950′s Americans"

So 1950s Americans disroportionately joined gangs and most American females in the 1950s became teenage mothers? I don't remember Annette Funicello from The Mickey Mouse club becoming a teen mom in the 1950s.

You must have grown up in an extremely White trash area in the 1950s, if you grew up in a neighborhood where Whites were in the same economic boat as peasant Mexican Amerindians and Mestizos.

You definitely did not grow up around solid middle class Leave It To Beaver type White families.

Because TV shows are so representative of real life….

Then look up the statistics: illegitimacy, for example, was pretty rare (especially among whites) before the late sixties

  • From the NYT: Hate hoaxes are a real issue. Whole Foods had forcefully rejected the accusations by Mr. Brown, 31, who claimed that he had bought a frosted cake from a store in Austin, Tex., and asked that the words “Love Wins” be written in icing on top — only to discover while driving away...

Mental illness in the African American community is something no one on the Left wants to talk about.

It gets traction here in the UK (or used to, Ive not been paying attention) but of course it is agreed that YT is to blame.

    YouTube’s to blame?

Agreed that no one talks about mental illness in the African-American community, just like no one talks about pedophilia in the African-American community, particularly among ghetto blacks.
