So it appears we managed to survive another terrifying Quds Day in Berlin. It was certainly touch and go there for a while, what with the media issuing hysterical warnings about the hordes of “Hamas and Hezbollah supporters, neo-Nazis, and conspiracy theorists” that were going to materialize out of the ether, goose-step down the Kurfürstendamm, and reenact Kristallnacht, or something. The city was braced for an all-out Perso-Palestinian Quds Day Pogrom, which is always a threat on Quds Day in Berlin, but the hysteria level this year was elevated, due to the Anti-Semitism Pandemic that mysteriously erupted in 2016 for no apparent reason whatsoever.

OK, what, you’re probably asking, is Quds Day? It’s an annual event initiated by Iran to show support for the Palestinians and opposition to Zionism. It takes place on the last Friday of Ramadan, in opposition to Israel’s Jerusalem Day, the national holiday commemorating Israel’s annexation of East Jerusalem in the aftermath of the Six-Day War. In Berlin, there’s an annual Quds Day march, which the German media typically respond to by whipping up anti-Semitism hysteria and fanatical, guilt-ridden support for Israel. This year was no exception … on the contrary.

A week or so before the event, Felix Klein, Germany’s “Commissioner for Jewish Life and the Fight Against Anti-Semitism,” warned Jews not to wear kippahs in public, on account of the unprecedented explosion of anti-Semitism throughout the country. According to the interior ministry, there were 62 violent anti-Semitic attacks in Germany during 2018, compared to 37 in 2017, which, in a nation of 83 million people, and with a history of real-life, goose-stepping Nazis, and of perpetrating the Holocaust, and so on … well, you can understand the Commissioner’s alarm.

The international corporate media began spreading the news that Anti-Semitism was once again on the march in Germany. The BBC reported that official figures showed that 1,646 hate crimes had been committed against Jews in 2018, up 10% from 2017! CNN reported that anti-Semitic hate crimes had increased by almost 20%! According to The Jerusalem Post, there were 1,800 anti-Semitic incidents committed against Jews in 2018! It was almost as if the Anti-Semitism Pandemic was retroactively metastasizing right before our eyes.

But whatever. The statistics don’t really matter. The point was, “Jews are not safe in Germany!” The Putin-Nazis had teamed up with the Iranian Nazis and the Syrian Nazis, who were backing the Palestinian Nazis, whose irrational hatred of the State of Israel the German Nazis had somehow weaponized (probably with a bunch of fake Facebook ads), and they were all going to storm the historic high-end shopping boulevard of West Berlin!

Then, on Friday, the day before Quds Day, in a desperate, last-minute, tactical maneuver, German politicians and cultural figures exhorted Jews and gentiles alike to defiantly wear their kippahs on Quds Day. BILD, the leading German tabloid, even printed little cut-out “BILD kippas” (complete with meticulous assembly instructions), and called on Germans to wear them on Quds Day to show their solidarity with State of Israel … uh, sorry, I meant with the Jewish people.

The BILD kippa tactic was a huge success! On Quds Day, fewer than a thousand people, many of them women and children, peacefully strolled along the Kurfürstendamm chanting slogans like “free, free Palestine,” and asking the world to stop the Israelis from penning people up in de facto ghettos, shooting their legs off with dum dum bullets, demolishing their houses, hospitals, and schools, stealing their land, randomly murdering them, and otherwise behaving like sadistic fascists. The hordes of “Hamas and Hezbollah supporters, neo-Nazis, and conspiracy theorists” that the corporate media had warned us were coming, oddly, never showed their faces … clearly, the “BILD kippas” scared them off.

Or maybe it was the counter-demonstrators. Hundreds of anti-anti-Semites, including prominent German government officials, Israeli diplomats, Antifa factions, members of the local Jewish community, and BILD susbscribers confronted the march, wearing kippahs, waving Israeli flags, displaying giant “MAGA” banners, shouting “long live Israel” and “free Gaza from Hamas,” and giving the marchers the finger, and so on (which, OK, I found a little confusing, as, the last time I checked, Trump was still Hitler, and Antifa were supposedly a bunch of anarchists).

In any event, the hysteria has subsided. Berlin and Israel appear to have survived. The Jews can come back out of hiding, although it isn’t quite clear whether Germany wants them to wear their kippahs in public or not now. Hopefully, we’ll be receiving some sort of official directive from Commissioner Klein (or possibly Axel Springer) about that.

But, seriously, you can’t really blame the Germans for a going a little overboard with their anti-anti-Semitism hysteria or for being reluctant to criticize Israel. It wasn’t all that long ago that their parents and grandparents were heiling Hitler and systematically murdering millions of Jews, or looking the other way while it happened. Most of the Germans I’m acquainted with still feel kind of awful about that. Which isn’t terribly surprising, is it?

I mean, imagine, if you’re one of my American readers, if some other country conquered the USA, and put our political and military leaders on trial for all the war crimes they’ve committed, and for the millions of people they’ve systematically murdered, and taught our children the truth about our history … that might give you some idea of how most Germans feel about the Nazis and the Holocaust.

So, yes, Germans are a bit hypersensitive about anything resembling anti-Semitism, and they tend to conflate opposition to Israel with hatred of the Jewish people (despite the fact that Israel is doing a pretty convincing impression of the Nazis, what with its ethnic cleansing, walls, ghettos, sadistic goons, propaganda, and so on). Many Germans also overcompensate for their feelings of shame about the Holocaust by displaying an awkward fascination and enthusiasm for anything “Jewish” (you know, like many liberal Americans fetishize Native and African Americans), so that might explain the “BILD kippa” nonsense.

No, I’m not mocking or scolding the Germans … they’re still trying to work their history out. I’m just trying to track the propaganda and cynical emotional manipulation that we are increasingly being subjected to as the global capitalist ruling classes wage their War on Populism. The Quds Day Panic of 2019 is just one example. There are many more, both manufactured and all-too-real. The Charlottesville Nazis. Charlottesville II. The MAGA bomber. The Tree of Life shooting. The Christchurch attack. Jussie Smollett. MAGA hat Smirk Boy. And the list goes on … pretty much as it always has.

I’m sorry if this comes as a shock to anyone, but the world has always contained a minority of racist and anti-Semitic whack jobs. They didn’t suddenly start murdering people when Brexit passed and Trump got elected. They’ve been doing that for quite some time. And of course there is still anti-Semitism in Germany. Saxony is crawling with neo-Nazis. And Iran really would like to wipe out Israel, just as Israel would like to wipe out Iran. None of this is in any way new or shocking to anyone who has been paying attention.

The only thing that has significantly changed since November 8, 2016, is the official narrative we are being fed, in which anyone opposing global capitalism and the hegemony of neoliberal ideology is either a Russian or some kind of Nazi, and a new “anti-Semitism” or “fascism” panic is whipped up for us on a monthly basis.

The Quds Day Panic of 2019 (like the Charlottesville Kristallnacht of 2017) is going to be rerun, over and over, in endless variations, until 2020, or whenever the global capitalist ruling classes manage to restore Normality. By that time Israeli sports teams will probably be wearing little Palestinians on their caps, Julian Assange will be locked away in Supermax, and satirists like me … well, I think you know.

GERMANY AND EUROPE NEED THE FIRST AMENDMENT FIRST—FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

Thanks for the interesting artricle, Sir. I am glad this event is organized and hope it will help awaken the poor oppressed German people.

The Germans are one of the most beautiful and intelligent people on earth. We owe a lot of our inventions to them.

If I rank the people oppressed by the Judaists, I would rate Palis as #1 and Germans as #2 and the USA (Americans) as the 3rd most oppressed people by the Jazis (JudeoNazis).

Eg. Germany’s Kangaroo courts ban conservative parties, at the behest of theJudaists, and put those who debate the holohoax in prison.

What Germany (and Europe) needs are political parties that run on only ONE platform first—to institute freedom of speech and decriminalize speech (except for calls to violence and porno, and civil remedies for defamation) in their constitutions so all people and political parties can openly talk and debate about issues of concern (such as the the alien invasion or Islamization) without risking prison. This is a sine qua non for a democracy.

This should be similar to the US First Amendment (as reshaped by various US Supreme Court decisions, such as applying to the states also, but excepting pornography, calls to violence, fraud, copyright violations, defamation), but even broader.

Without such a law, Germany and Europe are not real democracies, but simply Jewish controlled banana republics. And the alien invasion will turn them to LA, a toilet bowl, with garbage and feces on the streets and rats in the police station:

The propagandists, or the ruling class are always putting hats on people – black hats for those people, and mostly white hats for themselves, or whatever hat represents their interests at the time. For nothings gets the fighting and killing started quicker than the wearing of the wrong hat, by the wrong group, or even the wrong individual. Try wearing a MAGA hat at a gay parade, and you’ll get the picture.

  4. With so many Muslims in Germany so few turned up to support their Palestinian brothers locked in battle against Israel. That’s sad. What were the others doing? Holding down jobs or something? Or are maybe all those recent refugees who flooded Germany mostly the defeated ISIS fighters whose record in the Middle Eastern wars doesn’t seem to show any anti-Israeli actions conducted in support of Palestinians but in fact all actions conducted against Israel’s enemies, i.e. Palestine’s allies. You live and you learn something every day. And of course, most importantly, never believe the propaganda, especially about who all those refugees really are.

  5. Increasingly it looks like satirists like you will be marginalised, disenfrachised and persecuted. It’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better I suspect.

  6. Anyone paying attention would know that crime in the country has risen in general and not exclusively against one sub-group of the population.

  7. Most of the Germans I’m acquainted with still feel kind of awful about that. Which isn’t terribly surprising, is it?

You’re right, it isn’t at all surprising. In a country where Holocaust denial is punished by imprisonment, your acquaintances would be mad not to parrot the official narrative. Germans who know the truth of the Holocaust keep it to themselves or share it only with a very few.

  8. Somehow, I think the Palestinians are going to win their war against the jews. All these years later, they’re still throwing rocks at a well armed enemy. That’s says something right there.

  11. Hopkins missed a reportage about this theme that was shown some days before in the culture channel 3Sat (in the programm “Kulturzeit”). It was about “arabian antisemitism” in Germany.

They started talking about antisemitism, where it came from. Deborah Lipstadt was interviewed and explained to us that if you only criticise Israel but not China you are antisemitic. The reportage was only criticising Muslims and not China, so I asked myself if the reportage wasn’t itself antisemitic. Deborah Lipstadt was only criticising critics of Israel and so I also asked myself if she couldn’t be antisemitic because she didn’t criticise Israeli critics of critics of Israel.

In the second part of the reportage they spoke more generally about Arab antisemitism, how it appreared in Arab countries to explain that it had been imported to Germany by people from those countries that came to Germany. They didn’t say a word about the fact that Jews attacked Muslims in Palestina and took their lands, had wars and conflicts with several countries in the region. Then they proceeded to explain how Muslims in Germany were antisemitic, or how we know that they are antisemitic. The reportage said that opinion polls had shown that a large part of Muslims in Germany believes that without Israel there would be less conflicts or wars in the region!!!! Because they believe that they are antisemitic.

So the conclusion was: Muslims are antisemitic. If they believe that Israel was responsible for all conflicts they would be wrong. But is this enough to say that they are antisemitic? If you ask Israelis, they also believe that the “Arabs” begun all wars against Israel, even though Israel begun most of the wars in against neighbours. Are Jews in Israel also antisemitic? Second, if you ask Germans and Europeans the same question, probably they will answer just like Muslims. Why? Because it appears to be right that Israel is responsible for several wars and conflicts in the region.

So far, against unbelievable odds, the Palestinians have survived every attempt by the Jews to genocide them. I think ultimately they will be liberated and that will most likely be preceded by Americans overthrowing the zionist occupation in the US and Europeans overthrowing the zionist occupation of most of Europe. Freedom will come domino-style just as it did when the other Jewish disaster, Communism, finally collapsed in Russia.

But for now, as Rachel Corrie said: it’s genocide.

  21. Oncet, in America when the WASPS were the ruling class, there was such a thing as free speech based upon the protestant idea of Sola Scriptura – any man could read a bible passage and decide for his own self what it meant and he had the liberty to propound that idea publicly.

    Not anymore…

Because the WASPS wrongly concluded that the Messias-Deniers could not be denied full and complete liberty within a supposedly christian culture, it was only a matter of time before the Messias-Deniers seized control and told the WASPS – Um, you do not have free speech anymore because we the Messais- Deneirs will tell you there is no free speech and you must toe the rhetorical lines in the sand we draw – or else.

  22. Free speech?

No it is controlled by Messias-Deniers.

Can a man, without penalty, publicly deny there is a God?

    Yes.

Can a man, without penalty, deny there was a Holocaust?

    No.

Deny any action, vice, belief, or ideology favored by the Messais-Deniers and one is treated with loss of job, loss of reputation, loss of his good name, loss of freedom – jail.

Sensible men, such a as E. Michael Jones, has dynamic silence applied to them for daring to speak the truth about Jews – the same thing happened in the past to Joe Sobran, Hilaire Belloc, Gk Chesterton etc

    https://en.metapedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_silence

Such a penalty is too much to bear for most men which is why there is VERY little free speech allowed when it coms to what is considered good for the Jews and it is why there are so few men wiling to speak the truth to their political power

The thing is, real history is something of a random walk, with good and evil somewhat unclearly distributed between all parties. Khwarizm builds glorious cities in the desert — and then the Mongols show up and kill everybody. The British take up arms to ‘oppose evil things; brute force, bad faith…’ Then they ally themselves with Stalin, incinerate the inhabitants of Dresden, and return those Soviet citizens who picked the wrong side to the tender mercies of the USSR.

We keep rewriting it all as a moral fable, in which good triumphs over evil.

  44. Look C.J., I meant to tell you this much earlier. I really enjoy your pieces, you’re a good satirist, your subjects are spot on.

You were obviously hurt by the New Way Counterpunch is running these days. Again, in the long run of things, what exactly is the surprise? Alex (not a saint) died, assholes took over. Were you really surprised?

You have my sympathy, therefore: with today’s shit, you’re moving into Linh Dinh territory. I hope you have a place to emigrate to. I’m not sure Berlin will sustain you, if you carry on like this.

    Respectfully.

The international corporate media began spreading the news that Anti-Semitism was once again on the march in Germany.

Oh my – another demonstration of the Jew stranglehold on the body politic – they have a lock on political reality itself.

The Jew owned private international corporate media have America and the West by the balls. Our Western intellectual seed is crushed – our idealistic ways are never given a chance – our good Western thoughts are unborn – unable to be planted in our minds. Jew fake news rules. What is most important to the Jews is discord and chaos – that they can manipulate.

We are routinely being accused of stupidity – when the absolute truth is, that we are being maliciously misinformed. What is happening is intellectual coercion on a grand scale. The people with power in America are not stupid – they are submitting too being malevolently coerced by the Jews.

We must thank Trump for the words “fake news” – they are leading to mistrust – that is our way out of this Talmudist Zionist Jew maelstrom.

As far as I’m concerned, the revolution can’t come soon enough. All we need to end Cultural Marxism in America is the Truth. The first step will be vigorously enforcing our antitrust laws to end the Zionist domination of our media.

  50. @Commentator Mike

Mike, the truth needs to be told, not repressed under layers of secrecy, and under threat of ostracization. Wally and the others do that to expose the frequently propagated, insanely unrealistic rendtition of the hoax in 1945 and preceding that, the hoax that claims they are systematically murdered in the tune of 6 million. Many of the issues plaguing society in the modern times in which we live in usually originate from ((Them)) and they are allowed to continually engage in nefarious acts against the goyim, because they are shielded from any criticism or judgement because of the victimhood status which they have carved up for themselves, through the obvious holocaust myth. The Holocaust has been enshrined everywhere, and it is used for justification for the satanic and deceitful activities which ((they)) participate in. The sooner we abolish this outrageously false narrative, the sooner real change can be achieved.

Within free speech is also the right to boycott.

From Talib Kweli Greene, @TalibKweli –

“I’ve just been asked by German Festival @OSF_Festival to denounce BDS or else not perform. Here is my response.” https://www.facebook.com/talibkweli/photos/a.346060340605/10157846810515606/?type=3&theater

By lying and saying that BDS is anti Semitic movement, the German government is engaging in fascism and doing a disservice to the German people. Palestinians are treated like second class citizens in the region, due to their darker skin and Islamophobia. White supremacy is insidious like that. It will have “white” skinned Jewish people aligning with the very same Nazis and KKK who want them dead. Nazis and KKK often hold Israel up as a great example of an ethno state due to how Palestinians and other darker skin people are treated there. This is an unholy alliance that the German government is enabling by suggesting BDS is anti Semitic and trying force artists to agree with them.
Boycotting, Divesting and Sanctioning are peaceful solutions to the crisis that destroys Palestinians homes and lives. It is the opposite of terrorism. It worked to make South Africa a more fair and equal nation and it could work in Israel if its opponents were not so anti black and anti Muslim. It is not a coincidence that Donald Trump, virulent racist and frequent admirer of Nazis and dictators, shares Germany’s official position on BDS. If Donald Trump agrees with you, you are on the wrong side of history. Why would Germany champion the suppression of free speech? BDS does not engage in violence. I get why Germany’s government would want to be cautious about platforming hate, but to equate a peaceful push for the rights of Palestinian people to the horrors of Nazi Germany is a false and offensive equivalency. Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu wants to annex the West Bank which would create a state in which mostly white skinned Jews rule over mostly dark skinned Arabs. The far right around the world supports this. I do not. If I’m not allowed in Germany because I support humanity, fuck it. I won’t go. The ball is in your court. I would like to perform in Germany but I don’t need to. I’d rather be a decent human being and stand up for what’s right then censor myself and lie about BDS for a check.</blockquote>

Just a bit of harmless (I hope) humour on my part – I wasn’t being serious.

I did see you checked in on LD’s thread at around the #200 mark. I can’t say “clocked in” to work, like those real or imagined hasbara trolls who get accused of being on the clock and IDF payroll, as who’d pay you for your time at UR, unless the Boys from Brazil or someone from the Odessa File has got a fund set up? What can I say? You get 10/10 for persistence.

Hey, I’m all against censorship. I’m fine with Wally popping up every time the big H is mentioned, although maybe a little annoying, like that Wizard on Oz on the 9/11 threads.

I never really like criticising people individually, when an issue is discussed it is the issue that should be debated and not those debating it. It is their arguments we should be accepting or rejecting with appropriate arguments of our own and dispense with personal attacks. But sometimes I can’t help winding someone up, and occasionally even getting angry, or just a tad emotional. When that happens we should step back a bit and not get drawn into endless ad hominem slagging matches as some do, especially on other sites. I find UR doesn’t get as bad as some other sites where disputes can get out of control even with the closer monitoring by moderators. Even the usually composed Franklin Ryckeart and Talha are getting a little fired up debating JudeoIslamoChristian theology with AnonStarter and Bliss, respectively, there on Kevin Barret’s thread.

I’m sure I annoy some people, so I like to take breaks from commenting.

    Until next time.

  56. @2stateshmustate

I don’t think there was an “ad hominem” insult there on my part aimed at Wally, in that comment at least. I’d have thought his skin was thick enough to take my lapse into humour. I may have one time written that from my engaging in debate with the deniers, I got the impression that they operate as a sect – a criticism, but not an offensive insult.

I doubt they’d let me lead a team looking for, and accounting, for the remains. Or anyone for that matter. Until the time as such teams do the research needed my contribution can only be speculative. I can read both sides of the story and remain convinced by some and unconvinced by other details of what either side presents.

When a government gets involved with the Jews – it is a given that right and wrong gets turned upside down.

Jews and democratic idealism can not cohabitate. Democracy works for connected neighbors. Jews always tribally separate themselves from others.

The tribal Talmud Jews and democracy cannot coexist – period.

Counterpunch lost me even while Alex was still breathing due to not publicising the farcical 9/11 narrative. Closer to home, I mentioned to a (former) close friend that 9/11 was an inside job and his response was, “if you don’t like America you should leave”. WTF?

The British take up arms to ‘oppose evil things; brute force, bad faith…

They do, really? When was what, exactly? Somehow it always appeared they took up arms to build an empire. But of course everybody and everything opposing the British Empire myst be an evil thing, mustn’t it?

Then they ally themselves with Stalin, incinerate the inhabitants of Dresden, and return those Soviet citizens who picked the wrong side to the tender mercies of the USSR.

To be fair to the British, they’d much prefer to ally themselves with Hitler but weren’t given a chance.

Furthermore, they not only returned the Soviet citizens, which was they duty as the allies of the USSR, but they also returned those who were never the Soviet citizens like General Krasnov. Honestly, this was one of the few good things they ever done, for those scumbags that the West nurtured deserved nothing else.
